Jennifer Lawrence speaks out after Kourtney Kardashian remark makes news

Jennifer Lawrence recently opened up about her past comments where she called Kourtney Kardashian “annoying” on a podcast.

Today, the Hunger Games star, renowned for her dead-pan humor and quick-wit, appeared on Amy Poehler‘s Golden Globe-winning podcast, Good Hang, for a fun conversation.

In the episode, Poehler and Lawrence covered a wide range of topics including Lawrence’s incredible career, parenthood and an unforgettable Robert De Niro impression.

Poehler began by explaining why she admires Lawrence, calling her a “woman’ who likes other women.”

“You tell the real, real behind something like you talk about like ‘this was difficult’ or ‘I’m thinking about this’ […] I think when people stay mysterious it’s like a disservice to other women […] You do this thing that I really appreciate, that comes through which is you’re trying to be honest in real time and trying to connect,” she said.

“I think that’s what women do for other women when they like women is the best way to say it.”

She went on to discuss how Lawrence navigates sharing her personal life publicly while maintaining privacy.

“I think that I when I do press, I should do half than what normal people do cause I see my quotes and they like they’re insane. Like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian annoying,’” Lawrence said.

She then made hand gestures to indicate that the quotations are “too much,” then Poehler agreed: “It carries. But, first of all, honestly, it’s funny because it’s, you’re so funny. Thank you. And the third piece of the puzzle I’ll say is that you’re very, you feel like a real person. You’re very ironic.”

In true Lawrence form, she interrupted with “erotic” and then Poehler joked the actor had her time on her knee beneath the table the entire time.

The comments the No Hard Feelings star referenced were taken from a Vanity Fair video in November 2025. While promoting the film Die My Love, she and co-star Robert Pattinson took a lie detector test. During the test, Pattinson showed her a photo of Khloe Kardashian and asked if she was her favorite Kardashian, to which Lawrence replied “yes.”

She elaborated on her feelings about Kourtney Kardashian: “Kourtney is more annoying than ever. She drives me nuts […] Because everything has to be an announcement. It’s like, you know, ‘I’m not gonna wear outfits anymore,’ like just wear whatever you want, don’t make an announcement about it.”

The episode and Lawrence’s remarks sparked reactions from fans online.

One YouTube commenter wrote: “Literally, JLaw had such a CAREER for someone at her age. Oscar winner at 22, four Oscar nominations at 25, three Golden Globes, BAFTA, Peabody, a production company, two multi-billion franchises. No actress comes close, to how big she was in the early 2010s.”

Another fan praised the podcast’s relaxed format, writing: “I love how Amy’s podcast truly is, just a good hang. It’s not about being deep or serious, or about making jokes the whole time. It’s just a space to talk, get to know each other and if we can get a few laughs then great. There’s no real expectations or pressure on the interviewee and that’s why it works.”

But off set, Kim is focused on protecting her kids—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—sharing with viewers that they are becoming increasingly aware of their father Kanye West’s recent erratic behavior—a plot point she soft-launched on Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper (who is also producing a reality dating series for Hulu). “It’s a divorce, not a kidnapping,” she says on the season’s first episode, of coparenting with West. “We haven’t left. We’re in the same spot. What happened to the house that you bought next door?” West bought a house down the street from Kim’s Hidden Hills estate in 2021, shortly after she filed for divorce. Kim said at the time she suggested that West take the kids to school every day and that they have dinner together as a family nightly, but those plans never panned out. “Maybe that’s too much,” Kim concedes, “but that’s just what I saw from my mom and my stepdad and my dad.”

By revisiting her past with West, Kim can illuminate the challenges of her present. Back at Eldorado, Kendall and Kylie admit to smoking weed in the backyard, with the elder of the two joking that she lost her virginity in the house. “We’re children number five and six,” says Kendall. “[Kris] just—she has no more energy for us.” But for all the cynicism about the Kardashians returning to their retro rebrand, there is genuine emotion to be gleaned from their trip down memory lane. Later in the episode, Kris captures an intimate moment between Kendall and Kylie as they softly cry on the staircase of their childhood home. “Those were some of the best years,” Kylie tearfully admits.

Kim Kardashian Explains What It’s Like To Co-Parent With Kanye West: “It’s Not Easy”

“I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that, I push for it all the time,” she said. But just because she welcomes it doesn’t mean that it necessarily happens. “It’s not easy.”

Kardashian’s kids see West “whenever he’ll call for them and ask,” she said, though “it’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him.”

Though Kardashian’s chauffeured black car has a high road-only route programmed in when it comes to navigating her relationship with West, both public and private, that doesn’t mean she’s unbothered by some of the things said about her.

“The one thing that just gets me is that there’s this narrative that, like, I keep the kids away from him,” she said. “I’ve never once done that. Like, there’s been so many times where I’ve been like, ‘Oh, I just wanna show all of these texts. What are you talking about?’”

Headlines often take her by surprise, she said. “I think it’s all good and we’re living our life and then I just wake up and there’s all these tweets about how I’ve kidnapped the kids and I’m like, it’s not a kidnapping, it’s a divorce.”

There wasn’t one specific thing that made her reach a breaking point and end the marriage, but consistently “not feeling safe” with West.

And even though she hasn’t publicly rebutted West’s claims about her parenting doesn’t mean she hasn’t been tempted. Kardashian revealed that she lives and dies by writing emails and tweets that she’ll never send.

“There has been so many times where I’ve written a draft and been like, ‘I’m gonna go,’ and then I’m just like, what’s the point? You know, what is the point? Am I gonna go back and forth? My kids are gonna see this.”

Rihanna’s New 3rd Baby’s Name Brings Us One Step Closer to a Unified Theory of Kardashianism

On Wednesday, Rihanna and partner A$AP Rocky announced via Instagram that they’d welcomed their third child together, the couple’s first daughter. The baby’s biological sex isn’t the only thing different this time around: The happy parents unveiled the baby’s name at the same time they revealed the baby, too, less than two weeks after her birth. “Rocki Irish Mayers,” Rihanna wrote in her caption. “Sept 13 2025.”

Baby Rocki’s arrival and the subsequent heraldic announcement of her birth follows one family tradition, that of R-names (Rihanna’s legal name is Robyn, and Rocky’s is Rakim, and big brothers RZA and Riot Rose continued the line), and supports the idea one can be both a baddie and a Pinterest mom. The third time around, this is the most timely reveal of a Rihanna offspring’s photo, name, and birth date thus far.

Remember that it was nearly a year (two days short, to be exact) after eldest son RZA’s birth that his name and birth date were revealed, and newly minted middle child Riot Rose’s name was kept under wraps for a bit over a month.

On Instagram Wednesday, Rihanna shared photos of herself cradling the snoozing infant (the delight is in the details here, Rih is sporting a baby-pink manicure, a gold watch with a pale pink face, and a gold “MOM” ring, plus arm cuffs affixed with oversized pink bows, lest the rosiness of the situation be overlooked), and a pair of teeny tiny, silky blossom pink boxing gloves, ribbons artfully trailing, perhaps an homage to another famous Rocky, the boxer played by Sylvester Stallone. (Some parents just use socks to stop their newborns from accidentally scratching themselves with their tiny fingernails, but Rihanna is, as usual, doing Rihanna stuff. It works.)

Of course, three is a trend, and Rihanna warned in a June red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight that when it comes to her kids, “it’s always going to be an R name. That’s the one thing me and Rocky don’t fight over,” she said.

Rocki was following family custom before she even made her debut: Like her big brothers before her, even her impending arrival was announced in showstopping fashion. Rihanna revealed her first pregnancy with a Chanel-bedecked street style photo, and her second pregnancy while performing the halftime show for the Super Bowl 2023. Never one to repeat a schtick, Rihanna debuted her latest bump on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, making a strong case for the Marc Jacobs maternity corset.

Rocky the elder told Elle in a profile interview, published Wednesday, that he and Rihanna hadn’t known the sex of the baby before birth, but that he had his fingers crossed for a little girl. “I feel like it’s going to be a girl,” he said. “This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

Baby Rocki’s arrival also brings science and society one step closer to a definitive proof of a Unified Theory of Kardashianism: Kris Jenner revolutionized the alliterative naming convention for future famous siblings, borrowing her own first initial for Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie’s names (sorry, Rob). The most recent famous baby Rocky is also a fruit of that particular genetic loom: Kourtney’s child with husband Travis Barker, Rocky Thirteen Barker, born in November 2023. That Rocky has already made his reality TV debut (albeit with his face obscured) on The Kardashians, portending a possible future in the family business. Will the newest Rocki in the quarry follow suit?

Reps for Rihanna and Rocky did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s request for comment, their hands perhaps full with their three kids.

Ranking The Kardashian’s Brands From Best To Worst

It’s hard to wrap your head around the fact that the Kardashian family went from reality television stars to a familial empire worth billions of dollars. One of the world’s most hated families, the Kardashian-Jenner Conglomerate is a force to be reckoned with. Led by the passionate matriarch Kris Jenner, the clan is composed of some of the most famous faces in the world.

There’s
Kim Kardashian, the one who started it all. The face of fashion houses like Balenciaga, who has a billion business ventures of her own, never seems to stop working. Her iconic line, “Seems like nobody wants to work these days,” holds true to her ethic.

Then there’s
Kourtney Kardashian-Barker, formerly with Scott Disick in earlier seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. If you caught on to her hyphenated surname, she’s married to Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker.

To complete the Kardashian side of the family, we have Khloe Kardashian and their under-the-radar brother, Rob. Khloe was previously married to NBA player, Lamar Odom, before having two children with Tristan Thompson (but that’s a whole other scandal.)

But then, there are the two Jenner girls: Kendall and
Kylie. Kendall is a world-renowned fashion model and Kylie, is a makeup guru, potential billionaire, and trendsetter.

The family may be famous (or infamous) for a multitude of reasons, but I know one thing: they’re hard workers. They churn out brand after brand to make more money…and while not every Kardashian-centered enterprise is a success, they keep trying.

Something about me? I love to test the Kardashian brands. I think it’s fun. And since I’ve tried so many, I can tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Here are the best and worst Kar-Jenner brands!

Review: I honestly despise tequila. It will never be my drink of choice…but when it’s the only option, sometimes you cut your losses. When 818 Tequila first started, everyone was drinking it. And somehow, I ended up with a bottle myself.

If you’re going to spend this much on skincare, go to the dermatologist and get a clinically curated routine for your skin. I wish I could attest to the life-changing benefits of
SKKN, but I haven’t heard anyone say much about it.

However, she’s been switching up the vibe from drop to drop, so I have hope it’s getting better…it’s just, some of the styles are too similar to what SKIMS and Good American sell. So it’s hard to betray those two and go for Khy.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker take baby Rocky back on the road after Khloe Kardashian’s birthday bash

On the road again! Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker have left Los Angeles following her sister Khloe’s 40th birthday celebrations to return to the Blink 182 tour.

The mom-of-four took to Instagram Stories to take fans along on the journey with her, as they traveled back to their tour bus in Arizona, as the band are playing in Glendale on July 2. Kourtney shared a picture of the bus, and later a snap from inside what appeared to be a rental home with gorgeous palm trees and the mountains in the background, revealing it was 112 degrees outside.

In a later video, she showed off the swimming pool, perfect for cooling down in the desert heat.

Travis has been touring the country with bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, but the pair recently returned to LA from Texas where she had been cheering on her husband alongside their nine-month-old son Rocky and her nine-year-old son Reign.

Kourtney returned to the Blink 182 tour and shared video of her view

The family have been touring with Travis, and Kourt has been keeping fans updated, including most recently of their time in San Antonio, Texas.

“Peace and loud,” Kourtney captioned her video, which also featured clips of a beach and the ocean view from a hotel room.

But she returned to LA for younger sister Khloe’s lavish, Dolly Parton-inspired 40th party, as the Good American co-founder marked the milestone surrounded by family and friends who all wore denim.

Khloe, keeping fully on theme, dazzled in a denim corset adorned with rhinestones, cut-out jeans, a denim cowboy hat, and several diamond necklaces.

Snoop Dogg was a guest, with sister Kim revealing that Khloe “had no idea” Snoop would be the surprise performer; Kim also captured Khloe’s joy as she rapped along to the iconic star’s music as he was joined on stage by Kurupt.

There’s been a lot of speculation that they can’t stand each other, but now, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian are ready to put the rumours to rest. In the latest episode of Kardashians, Kourtney addressed some buzz surrounding one of her Instagram post, where she thanked her family, including Kim, for pitching in with her baby shower. However, some fans misinterpreted her gratitude as trolling, assuming there was still bad blood between the sisters.

“Everyone’s like, ‘Kourtney’s trolling,’” she said in the episode. “They think that we hate each other.”

In Season 3, tensions between the sisters surfaced, triggered by Kim’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana. For context, Kourtney partnered with the fashion brand for her lavish Italian wedding to now-husband Travis Barker in May 2022. Soon after, Kim began a partnership of her own with the brand and Kourtney wasn’t too happy about it.

Are Kourtney and Kim Still Beefing?

Reflecting on their past conflicts, Kourtney shared that they’ve since moved beyond the feud, emphasising the strength of their sisterly bond.

“They always say on our show, like, ‘How are they going to get through it?’ and they pick sides and everyone gets really riled up,” she said. “I’m sure a lot of people have had crazy fights with their siblings. Maybe ours are more extreme.”

Kim echoed her sister’s sentiments, highlighting the misconception among viewers that they don’t get along. “The thing about Kourtney and I, no matter how crazy things are, no matter what’s going on, if she needs something I’m there,” Kim said in a confessional. “If I need something she’s there. We’ll always be that way no matter what we’re going through.”

Kourtney also addressed a little tidbit from a past season: that intense phone call with Kim. Surprisingly, Kourtney “never knew the call was filmed” during that heated exchange. You know, the one where she called Kim a “narcissist” and a f**king witch? Despite saying she originally didn’t want the conversation to air, she eventually agreed to keep the footage in the episode because, well, it was just “too good” to leave out.

Kourtney Kardashian’s stepdaughter Alabama Barker shares upsetting news as she asks for help

Alabama Barker recently received some upsetting news, and has used her growing social media platform to ask her fans for help.

The stepdaughter of Kourtney Kardashian, 18, took to Instagram Stories this week to share a photo of herself with her friend Julie, who she referred to as a “dear aunt”, explaining in the caption that Julie had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler’s daughter accompanied the picture with a link to a GoFundMe page, which is raising money for Julie’s cancer treatment costs.

She also wrote: “It could be an honor if you could donate even $1.” The page has been written by Julie’s twin sister Elizabeth, revealing that she had been diagnosed with brain cancer four years after beating breast cancer.

She penned: “Unfortunately, the tumor we were praying was benign is metastasis of her previous cancer”, adding “she currently will be recovering from brain surgery + ongoing chemo & radiation for an unknown amount of time.”

Alabama Barker shared a heartbreaking post about her friend with brain cancer

Elizabeth added: “My beautiful sister leads us as the head of our family and is an amazing mother, daughter and friend for those who know her. She will be out of work to put her energy towards winning this fight once again.”

The post concluded that any “money raised will go towards rent, bills, food and medical expenses”.

Alabama has over 2M followers, allowing the post to reach far and wide to help her friend. Until recently, she was Travis’ youngest child, and has older siblings Landon, 19, and Atiana, 24, who her mom Shanna shares with ex Oscar de la Hoya, but who was largely raised by Travis.

Kourtney Kardashian reminisces about college years with throwback photo

Kourtney Kardashian took a trip down memory lane as she shared a snap from her college days.

The Instagram snap showed the fresh-faced reality star posing in a parking lot on campus, looking the epitome of 90s style as she teamed a black jacket with rectangular framed sunglasses.

“College Kourt. Freshman year in front of my dorm at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas 1998. Isn’t it funny how a simple photograph can bring back so many memories…” Kourtney began in the caption.

Kourtney, now 45, began the first two years of her bachelor’s in Texas, but later finished her studies at the University of Arizona, graduating with a major in theatre arts and a minor in Spanish in 2002.

It comes just days after Kourtney celebrated her second wedding anniversary with husband and Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker.

The pair tied the knot on May 15, 2022, in Santa Barbara, California, with the bride donning a white Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, with a bustier style top and an embroidered heart on the bodice. A lavish religious ceremony later took place in Portofino, Italy on May 22, 2022.

Kourtney and Travis began dating in 2021

Kourtney and Travis welcomed their first child together, a son named Rocky, on November 4, 2023. The rocker shares daughter Alabama Luella Barker and son Landon Asher Barker with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

It’s 2024 and Reality TV is more popular than ever. When this genre of unscripted television first hit the scene in the early 2000s, audiences and critics alike quickly labeled these shows “Trash TV.”

For the general public, reality TV is often categorized by viewers as a “guilty pleasure” rather than regular network fare. Yet reality television’s once lowbrow status has shifted in recent years due to the rapid improvement in storytelling and soaring ratings.

Shows like Vanderpump Rules and Love is Blind are massively more trendy than your average scripted series. But let’s take a look back at some of the most memorable and scandalous moments in reality TV history.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Kim and Kourtney Catfight

Keeping Up With The Kardashians reveals the dramatic day-to-day lives of the most famous family on the planet. Building a Kardashian empire takes a whole lot of work, thanks to Kim Kardashian and Momager, Kris Jenner. But Kourtney Kardashian has always been less of a businesswoman and more of a proud mama of several children.

Many times throughout the series, Kim and Kourtney butted heads over lifestyle matters. While Kim frequently dissed Kourtney by suggesting she’s lazy and lacks work ethic, Kourtney was steadfast in her belief that there’s nothing wrong with being a stay-at-home mom.

Things took a dramatic turn when the ongoing fight led to a physical altercation between the two sisters. It was easily one of the series’ most dramatic moments when the tension eventually reached a boiling point between the eldest daughters in the Kar-Jenner clan.

The fight ended with some nasty scratches on Kim’s back and a whole lot of tears.

Kim Loses Her Earring…In the Ocean

One of the most viral moments in Kardashian lore happened long ago — Kim lost her diamond earring in the ocean! This happened when Kris Humphries — her fiance at the time — playfully threw her in the water.

The incident caused Kim to burst into tears over her missing earring. Yet it was Kourtney’s response that made the moment, when she said: “Kim, there are people dying,” in an attempt to bring her sister back to reality.

The Least Interesting to Look At

In yet another brawl between Kim and Kourtney. Kim screamed in a fit of rage that her sister was the least interesting Kar-Jenner to look at. Ouch! First of all, so not true. But fortunately, Kourt was able to take the moment in stride. For her 40th birthday party — documented on the hit reality show, of course — she had a bunch of decorations strewn about that announced “Least interesting to look at.”

Vanderpump Rules

Stassi Confronts Kristen and Jax’s Affair

Vanderpump Rules promises epic scandals in just about every episode — one of the many reasons why the show is such a smashing success. Yet one of the most shocking moments of the Bravo series was when Stassi learned of Kristen and Jax’s secret affair.

The news came as a nasty shock, since Kristen was always Stassi’s best friend, and Jax was Stassi’s longterm boyfriend. While Stassi expected as much from the notoriously unfaithful Jax, she was heartbroken to find out that her best friend betrayed her.

Stassi didn’t hold back when she slapped Kristen for her secret affair with Jax.

Jax Gets a Tattoo of Stassi’s Name

If you look up the word “reckless” in the dictionary, you could find Jax’s face. The reality TV villain is known for his outlandish behavior, so if anyone was destined to get a tattoo of their ex girlfriend’s name on their skin, it was gonna be Jax.

To make matters crazier, during the season 3 reunion, Jax got yet another tattoo of another woman’s face on his arm that looked strikingly like Stassi. Stassi hilariously responded by telling her ex, “You’re a literal serial killer.”

Scandoval

How could we not include Scandoval on our list? For those who have been hiding under a rock for the past year, Vanderpump Rules took a nasty turn when (SPOILER ALERT!) Tom Sandoval cheated on his long-term girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with their close friend, Raquel.

The moment was so outrageous that Bravo fans have been quick to label it as one of the most shocking moments in reality TV history.

Love is Blind

Zanab Tells Off Cole

Season 3 of Love is Blind saw Zanab and Cole in a tumultuous engagement. Things took a turn for the worse when Cole expressed his attraction and physical preference for another contestant, Colleen.

While there were several nasty bumps in the road for this LIB couple, fans were still freaked out to witness Zanab confront Cole for his bad behavior during their wedding ceremony. Zanab’s speech, in which she claimed Cole “destroyed” her confidence, ended with the wedding attendees applauding Zanab.

Irina and Micah Get Confronted

Love is Blind Season 4 was rife with drama inside the pods. While the drama on the dating show is generally focused on each couple, this occurrence involved bullying within the Girls’ pods.

Contestants Irina and Micah were labeled the “mean girls” of the season. And they were finally confronted for it during the season 4 reunion.

Below Deck

Natalya vs. Tumi

Below Deck reveals the ship’s crew members in some of the most gorgeous locations on earth, yet the drama happening inside the ship is anything but pretty. Season 8 of Below DeckMed got messy when Natalya and Tumi immediately butted heads.

Of course, the drama was instigated by notorious pot-stirrer Kyle Viljoen, who whispered some things in Tumi’s ear about Natalya that she found unfavorable.

Ruan Gets Fired On Day 1

Below Deck Med Season 8 began with crew member and bosun Ruan getting fired on the very first day. It all kicked off when the crew member failed to provide the proper documents necessary to serve on the ship. Later, it proved that the paperwork he had was forged. Yikes!

Selling Sunset

Christine vs. Chrishell

Christine and Chrishell’s polarizing personalities made their time in the Oppenheim Group a nearly impossible endeavor. But their season 1 showdown that happened during the season finale ended with Chrishell in tears as she stormed off the set.

It all started when Christine labeled Chrishell as “fake” for talking behind Mary’s back regarding her relationship with Romain. Christine and Chrishell butted heads for so long, that Christine went so far as to call her party drinks “Chrishell’s Two-Faced Tonic.” Ouch!

Davina Vs. Chrishell

In 2020, all eyes were on Selling Sunset star Chrishell amid her divorce with This is Us actor Justin Hartly. Their divorce was anything but amicable, considering the deed was allegedly initiated via text message from Justin, and Chrishell said he was unfaithful.

Despite how heartbroken Chrishell was, Davina stirred things up by telling Chrishell that there are “Two sides to every story.” Oof.

Kourtney Kardashian’s son Rocky’s gothic play area revealed – complete with new addition from Australia

Kourtney Kardashian has been incredibly protective of baby son Rocky’s privacy since his arrival in November, but the doting mom has still given a sweet glimpse into her youngest child’s life with several candid photos on social media.

Most recently, The Kardashians star took to Instagram to share a picture focusing on Rocky’s play area, which is gothic in theme, with many black and white toys and decorations.

There is a lullaby made up of black and white, as well as a black and white toy box. Rocky also has a growing collection of stuffed animal toys, including a koala bear, which looks to have been brought back from the family’s recent trip to Australia.

Kourtney and her three youngest children – Rocky, Reign, nine, and Penelope, 11, all joined Travis Barker Down Under for several weeks in February, as he completed the Australian leg of the Blink 182 tour.

Kourtney’s oldest child Mason, 14, stayed at home with dad Scott Disick, likely due to not wanting to miss too much school. The Poosh founder had the most amazing time away, which also marked Rocky’s first trip abroad.

Kourtney Kardashian shares baby Rocky with husband Travis Barker

The trip to Australia was especially poignant for Travis, who is not only there with his baby son, but it marks his first time back there since his near-fatal plane accident.

The musician was in a plane crash in 2008 and has since spoken out about how his family, in particular wife Kourtney, have helped him conquer his fears. In August 2021, he traveled to Cabo San Lucas on a plane with Kourtney, his first plane ride in 13 years.

The Poosh founder is a doting mom

Chatting to the LA Times about how he was “healed” by the power of love, the star explained: “I think the power of love really helped me. Kourt made it so I fly, my kids fly now. She healed us.

“It takes a little piece of my life every time I fly. The amount of stress and anxiety it causes is just unbearable. It brings up all this old trauma, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Is this worth it?’

“But I don’t like anything having a hold on me, either — I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like having things from my past control my future.”

We Asked the Kardashians’ Personal Chef About the Family’s Favorite Meals – and Yes, a Salad Topped the List – POPSUGAR Australia

The Kardashian-Jenners have made headlines for endless reasons, and their eating habits are no exception. Certain moments – from Kylie’s honey-topped avocado toast reveal to Kendall’s attempt to slice a cucumber – have drawn widespread fascination and criticism.

What fans of the family may not know is that the Kardashians’ approach to eating is largely a reflection of their personal chef, Khristianne Uy. Better known as Chef K, her client list includes the likes of Justin Bieber and Charlize Theron, People reports. But she’s been cooking for the Kardashian-Jenner family for nearly 10 years.

Around the start of the pandemic, Chef K transitioned to mostly catering the Kardashians’ holidays and events, leaving the everyday cooking to a team of chefs. She’s also stepped into the spotlight in her own right, with a TikTok account boasting videos with millions of views.

Having spent nearly a decade as the Kardashians’ personal chef, Chef K knows the details of their nutrition habits inside and out. And in a conversation with POPSUGAR about her new partnership with supplement company SpoiledChild, the chef shed light on her time cooking for the family, including how she made sure the Kardashian-Jenner kids ate their breakfast and what salad topping she knew would be a crowd-pleaser among the sisters.

POPSUGAR: During your time as the Kardashians’ personal chef, what have been their main concerns in terms of nutrition?

Chef K: Across the board, they’ve all prioritized healthy living. With so much travel, the lack of sleep, the growing families, it becomes impossible to always eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner together at the table every day. It was my job to make sure that whatever they ate, it was always nutrient-dense and would sustain them and hold them over for the next three to four hours. For all of my clients, I make a mental note of all allergies and dislikes, but I found that they’re really open to trying new things. I think the trust factor is pretty good.

PS: With nutrient-dense meals, there’s always the concern that you’re sacrificing taste. What’s your approach to making sure the meals you prepare are also appealing?

CK: The first thing that I did with them was to go through their pantry and refrigerator inventories. I could see what condiments were there, what pantry items they had – some had more rice and beans, some had more pasta sauce, some had more soup bases. From there, I already know what’s a safe area and I’ll just put my twist on it. It’s easier now that in 2024, brands are getting creative and putting out products where there isn’t even a compromise anymore. For example, you can find a really, really good, clean vegan cheese that you don’t even know [that it’s not real cheese]. And none of this serving a big old bushel of kale with a lemon slice, you know? With air fryers you can turn the kale into chips.

PS: What was the one meal that you always knew would be a hit?

CK: Anyone who watched the shows knows that they’re big on salads, especially the Health Nut salad that they would shake up before eating. For all of my clients, I tap into things that they already like. So I zoned into salads and thought up pretty much every salad you can think of, paying attention to which salads came back. I told Kris Jenner, “We can test these salads to come up with a ‘forever and never’ list.” Then, you will never have to see this salad again or you will always see that salad.

PS: Which salads made it onto the forever list?

CK: The Chinese chicken salad was number one. But generally, they’re open to any salad that has avocado, and I’d often add a little bit of quinoa or a little farro.

PS: What was the biggest crowd-pleaser at breakfast time?

CK: Smoothies were number one, which is why I thought teaming up with SpoiledChild to share its extra-strength liquid collagen would make for the perfect partnership. Mango is the Kardashians’ favorite flavor, and I’ve been making a tropical mango smoothie recipe that I add the liquid collagen to. I add chia seeds and yogurt too, so that it’s a smoothie that doesn’t leave you hungry again within an hour. Sometimes I would get creative and set up a smoothie bar. With the kids, when they can visually see what’s going into their smoothie and watch it being made, they become more curious and less intimidated to try it.

CK: It’s the most simple things. Sometimes when we’re so busy and doing all these things, simple, nostalgic meals can’t be beat. I’m a chef and I work with so many different ingredients but I don’t want to eat lobster or caviar every day. Sometimes you crave foods like corn on the cob or spaghetti.

Sure, there’s also the best boho wedding dresses, maternity wedding dresses and high street wedding dresses for all year round to consider, but short wedding dresses are a whole different ball game. According to Karen Millen, searches for ‘mini wedding dress’ and ‘mini bridal dress’ soared 229% and 423% worldwide after the Richie-Grainge wedding. So if that doesn’t tell you to give them a chance, I don’t know what will.

It’s easy to assume that there’s only one type of dress when it comes to your big day – typically floor-length and made of chiffon, satin or lace – and I’m the first to admit that I was in that camp, but, actually, there are some stunning above-the-knee designs that’ll have you feeling (and looking) just as spectacular as a wedding gown/ball gown would.

There’s no reason why you can’t join your gal pals with their short bridesmaids dresses and wedding guest dresses and have a shorter hemline yourself.

Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Just Shared Their 1st Photos of Baby Rocky

Two months after his birth, the world is finally getting to see Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s baby’s photos! The proud parents introduced their newborn son, Rocky Thirteen, in a heartwarming Instagram post.

The couple’s carousel of photos captures tender moments, with Rocky nestled in his father’s arms and Kourtney leaning on Travis’ lap. The photos show the little one dressed in a black onesie, matching his mom and dad’s coordinated all-black theme. One photo shows Kourtney in an oversized black sweater, breastfeeding her son. Another shows Travis planting a sweet kiss on Rocky’s chin, followed by an adorable snapshot of baby Rocky resting on his father’s chest, with his tiny feet peeking out from his black onesie.

The post generated a wave of positive reactions in the comments, as fans couldn’t get enough of the couple’s initial glimpses into parenthood. One fan wrote, “this is the moment I’ve been waiting for even though it’s not much it’s still just enough he is so precious congratulations to you both so happy for you two! 🤗.”

Kourtney initially announced her pregnancy during a Blink-182 concert in June 2023 by holding up a sign that read “Travis I’m Pregnant,” reminiscent of a sign from the band’s iconic “All the Small Things” music video from 2009. The announcement was shared on Instagram, with Kourtney writing, “Overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for God’s blessing and plan.”

Their pregnancy journey took a challenging turn, however, when Kourtney faced “urgent fetal surgery” three months later. She took to Instagram to recount the scary experience, expressing gratitude for the support she received from her doctors, husband, and mother. “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she wrote. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

The Poosh founder continued, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

“Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing,” she ended her statement.

Despite the unforeseen hurdles, the couple welcomed their baby boy into the world healthy and happy. A source recently shared with Entertainment Tonight that the couple’s bond is stronger than ever through the shared experience of becoming parents together.

“Kourtney and Travis are over the moon and could not be more elated that they share a child of their own together,” the source told ET. “Kourtney and Travis already had an unbreakable bond, but having a baby together has brought them even closer and made them fall even more in love. This experience has solidified their feelings that they were destined to be together.”

The couple’s recent Instagram post comes just days after Kourtney announced her return to the gym, seven weeks postpartum. In her caption, she emphasized the importance of taking it slow and allowing her body to heal, reminding fellow mothers that there is no rush or pressure in their postpartum journey.

“7 weeks postpartum: first day in the gym doing 30 mins walking 3.0, 12.0 incline taking it easy no rush no pressure,” she wrote in her caption. “[M]amas your body is healing, it’s not a race.”

Kourtney is also a mom to sons, Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, along with her daughter, Penelope, 11, whom she shares with her ex, Scott Disick. Meanwhile, Barker shares daughter Alabama, 17, son Landon, 19, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

When
Barbie premiered in July, women felt seen in the cinema — perhaps for the first time in a long time. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie was more than a beginner’s feminist manifesto, but also a meditation on what it means to be both a woman and mother in today’s world. It was a gentle reminder that maybe we’re all just trying our best — and that our best is enough.

It also encouraged women celebrate each other more.
The Barbie effect had us all wearing pink, emulating Margot Robbie’s cowboy-chic style, and referring to men as our “Kens.” And with help from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, her friendship bracelets, and sense of community, women were winning. It’s the first year in history that women dominated the Billboard Hot 100 twice (thanks to Swift and her Midnights and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album). Like I said, it’s a good year to be a woman.

This celebration of women and our successes is long overdue, but the promising news is that it isn’t slowing down.
Barbie’s feminist wave has shifted how we are accepting ourselves (and others) as women.

So it’s no surprise that women are raking in awards this year too, dominating the Grammy nominations and more. We hail celebrities for all sorts of achievements: Patrick Dempsey is
People’s Sexiest Man Alive (deserved), Taylor Swift is the world leader (they literally projected her welcome onto Christ the Redeemer), and Austin Butler is Best Elvis (because somehow we have multiple).

And one of the buzziest celeb awards is run by
GQ (short for Gentlemen’s Quarterly), whose “Men Of The Year” award is a highlight of every fall/winter. Similar to TIME’s 100 list, GQ likes to celebrate those who have taken the world by storm annually.

This year, the recipient of the Man of the Year award is none other than
Kim Kardashian…and they’re not wrong.

Kim has been taking her empire to new heights in 2023: building on the 2022 launch of her
SKKN-care line, breaking ground with Skims’ Men’s campaign, the Nipple Bra, and becoming the official partner of the NBA/WNBA, working on prison reform, filming The Kardashians on Hulu, starring alongside Emma Roberts in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story as Siobhan Corbyn, I could go on.

Calling someone “the man” has now become synonymous with “a winner.” Saying “you’re the man” is a sign of their success. And though this might have problematic roots, women are reclaiming the term — like the Taylor Swift song.
And in the grand scheme of things: Kim Kardashian is the man.

Some hard working men get the title alongside Kim in the
GQ issue. The other MOTY honorees include Jacob Elordi (AKA Elvis #2, who’s starring in blockbusters like Sofia Coppolla’s Priscilla and Saltburn alongside Barry Keoghan), Buffalo Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin, designer-turned-filmmaker Tom Ford, and Travis Scott. But you have to admit that Kim hasn’t come up for air this year.

It’s right there for us to see in episodes of
The Kardashians: Kim flying from country to country for another event on her booked and busy schedule. She’s literally everywhere at once, officiating recently divorced Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage’s wedding, shooting countless magazine covers and promo shoots for her growing enterprise, opening a Skims popup here, and shooting an episode of AHS there.

The latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’ featured a preview of November 16th’s upcoming episode. During the clip, viewers watched as Khloé Kardashian informed Thompson of how his actions not only affect her but her entire family.

“In this family, if you do something to one of us, it affects everyone,” Kardashian told Thompson.

In turn, Thompson admitted to Kardashian that he’s “in a place now” where he can “own up to the mistakes” he’s made.

As The Shade Room previously reported, a prior episode of the series showed Kourtney Kardashian admitting that seeing Thompson can make her feel “triggered.” Additionally, Kardashian explained that her 11-year-old daughter, Penelope Disick, feels the same.

“I feel like [Penelope] gets it from me. I told her, the first day of school, I was so triggered by him… and I was like, ‘I just can’t do it anymore,’” Kardashian recalled. “There’s times when I’m so triggered by him I can’t be around him. Then there’s times I just let it go because we just want harmony. He’s the father of my niece and nephew.”

Thurday’s episode alludes that Thompson may have caught wind of Kourtney Kardashian’s feelings. In the following portion of the preview clip, Kylie Jenner told viewers that Thompson was arriving for a sitdown and she felt “a little nervous.”

As the camera cut to a scene of Jenner and Thompson sitting across one another, Thompson vocalized his empathy for Jenner.

“Everyone got affected a little differently, but I think you were affected the most,” Thompson told Jenner, alluding to his 2019 kissing scandal with Jenner’s former best friend, Jordyn Woods. The scandal would end Jenner and Woods’ friendship for four years until the pair reconnected in July.

From there, the episode showed a preview of Thompson sitting one-on-one with Kourtney Kardashian.

“On a scale of one to 10, how scared are you?” Kardashian is heard asking Thompson.

In a private confessional, Kardashian explained she and Thompson have “not connected,” and she “just can’t fake it.” As the clip returned to the pair’s sitdown, Kardashian asked Thompson if he “feels” anything when he cheats on her sister.

Thompson replied by explaining that he “feels disgusted the next day,” to which Kardashian posed another question.

“So then, why do you do it again?” Kardashian asked as Thompson looked into the distance.

According to ELLE, Tristan Thompson and Kourtney Kardashian began dating in 2016. In December 2017, the former couple announced their first pregnancy together, as Thompson also fathered a son from a previous relationship with Jordan Craig.

The mother of one then added to the shock of the news when she revealed that she was expecting a second child with Thompson through surrogacy, per The Shade Room.

To date, Kardashian has remained firm on her disinterest to rekindle a relationship with Thompson.

Travis Barker And Kourtney Kardashian Welcome Their First Child Together

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have welcomed a baby boy.

Sources confirmed the news to People and to TMZ on Saturday, mere days after Barker revealed the baby’s name as Rocky 13 Barker. While they have yet to personally announce the birth, celebratory social media posts from both parents may be imminent.

The two are already very familiar with parenthood. Travis Barker shares 20-year-old son Landon and 17-year-old daughter Alabama Barker with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and he also helped raise her daughter Atiana De La Hoya. Kardashian shares three children with ex Scott Disick: Reign Aston, 8, Mason Dash, 13, and Penelope Scotland, 11.

Baby Rocky has now joined one of the most famous families in the world, whose careers, antics and relationships are regularly chronicled on “The Kardashians.” The reality series has yet to portray Kardashian’s recent medical scare, however.

The Poosh founder said in September that she underwent emergency surgery to save her son’s life, relaying the news in an emotional Instagram post. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear,” she wrote at the time.

Blink-182 postponed multiple European concerts as drummer Travis Barker, who on social media posted then-cryptic images of a prayer room at Scotland’s Glasgow Airport, headed back to the U.S.

“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” Kardashian wrote in her Instagram post. “I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock.”

Barker and Kardashian had been longtime friends and neighbors in their gated Calabasas community in California before they first started dating. He proposed to Kardashian in October 2021, and the two were married in Santa Barbara the following year.

Kardashian attended a Blink-182 show in June with a sign reading, “Travis I’m Pregnant,” spurring him to jump offstage and embrace her. Some believed they would use their celebrity couple nickname, “Kravis,” for the child — which Barker recently denied.

“Rocky 13 Barker,” he said on Monday’s episode of the “One Life One Chance” podcast. “He’s going to come out of my wife’s vagina like, doing front kicks and pushups.”

While that presumably didn’t happen, the couple is surely over the moon nonetheless.
