  • King Charles III Prays With Pope In Historic Visit – KXL

VATICAN CITY (AP) — King Charles III and Queen Camilla prayed Thursday with Pope Leo XIV in an historic visit to the Vatican to forge closer relations between the Church of England and the Catholic Church, a welcome spiritual respite for the royals from the turmoil at home over sexual misconduct allegations against Prince Andrew.

Charles, who is the titular head of the Church of England, and Camilla sat in golden thrones on the raised altar of the Sistine Chapel, in front of Michelangelo’s “Last Judgment,” while Leo and the Anglican archbishop of York presided over an ecumenical service.

The event marked the first time since the Reformation that the heads of the two Christian churches, divided for centuries over issues that now include the ordination of female priests, have prayed together.

The accompanying music reflected the Catholic and Anglican musical heritage: Hymns were sung by members of both the Sistine Chapel choir and visiting members of two royal choirs: the St. George’s Chapel choir of Windsor Castle and the children’s choir of the Chapel Royal of St. James’s Palace.

    Respite from scandal

The visit comes as the U.K. royal family is once again under intense scrutiny over Prince Andrew’s ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The scandal that has long dogged the king’s brother was reignited this week after a memoir by Epstein and Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre was published.

The 65-year-old prince has said he will stop using his titles, including Duke of York, but has “vigorously” denied Giuffre’s claims. Buckingham Palace and the U.K. government are under pressure to formally strip Andrew of his dukedom and princely title, and kick him out of the 30-room mansion near Windsor Castle where he lives.

Charles’ and Camilla’s visit had actually been planned for earlier this year, but was rescheduled after Pope Francis got sick and then died. Charles had strongly wanted to visit the Vatican during the 2025 Holy Year, a once-every-quarter-century celebration of Christianity.

    Step toward unity

Anglicans split from the Catholic Church in 1534 when English King Henry VIII was refused a marriage annulment. While popes for decades have forged warm relations with the Church of England and the broader Anglican Communion on a path toward greater unity, the two churches remain divided.

The Sistine Chapel service, though, marked a historic new step toward unity and included readings and prayers focused on the unifying theme of God the creator.

Later Thursday, Charles traveled to a pontifical basilica that has strong, traditional ties to the Church of England, St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, to receive a new formal recognition. The title “Royal Confrater” is a sign of spiritual fellowship and was reciprocated by Charles: Leo was given the title of “Papal Confrater of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.”

At the basilica, Charles sat in a special chair decorated with his coat of arms, bearing the Latin exhortation “Ut Unum Sint” (That they may be one), the mantra for Christian unity. The chair was given to him and will remain in the basilica for Charles and his heirs to use, officials said.

Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Catholic archbishop of Westminster, said that the king’s visit strengthens the relationship forged by Queen Elizabeth II, who came to Rome six times during her reign, including during the 2000 Holy Year.

“Pope Leo and King Charles coming together before God in prayer is an example of a genuine and profound cooperation,” he told The Associated Press. He recalled that Charles accepted his constitutional role as supreme governor of the Church of England, “but also his role in protecting freedom of religion and the important role of faith in society across his kingdom.”

The visit comes just weeks after the election of the first female archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Mullally. She didn’t join the king and queen at the Vatican, since she hasn’t been formally installed as the Church of England’s spiritual leader. In her place was the archbishop of York, the Most Rev. Stephen Cottrell.

    Anglican Communion strains

While the king copes with tensions over the Epstein scandal at home, Mullally’s election has heightened tensions within the Anglican Communion abroad. The archbishop of Canterbury is considered the “first among equals” in the Anglican Communion, which has more than 85 million members spread across 165 countries. But following Mullally’s appointment, a long-building schism in the Anglican Communion appears close to a final rupture.

An organization of conservative Anglican primates — representing a majority of the communion’s membership, primarily in Africa — announced that it’s rejecting all of the bureaucratic links that have historically connected the Anglican Communion.

The Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans, known as Gafcon, says it’s forming a new structure, although it claims it represents the historic Anglican Communion in a “reordered” form.

Its statement denounced the LGBTQ-affirming stances of some parts of the Anglican Communion as precipitating the break, a reference to positions taken by the Church of England and the Episcopal Church in the United States. But it closely followed another Gafcon statement lamenting Mullally’s appointment, saying that many believe that only men can be bishops and rejecting her office as a defining point of Anglican unity.

  • Charles’ True Relationships With Anne & Edward Revealed After Reports He Wants Their ‘Disgraced’ Brother Andrew ‘Out’ of the Palace

The relationship between King Charles and his siblings has faced a great deal of scrutiny lately, particularly as Prince Andrew has found himself embroiled in scandal after scandal without his brother taking firm action. Now that Andrew has given up his titles and honors—except the moniker of Prince, that is—the question people are asking is why did this wait so long? And how do Princess Anne and Prince Edward feel about it?

King Charles has always reportedly gotten along with all his siblings, though his relationship with his sister, Princess Anne, is reportedly his closest bond—particularly due to their shared interests in gardening and sports. His relationship with Prince Andrew had also reportedly been close until the scandals of the last few years, and the King has seemingly also been close with his younger brother, Edward, despite their 16-year-difference.

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

In fact, the King named both Anne and Edward as counselors of state after he became King, which means they can perform constitutional duties on behalf of their brother. That signals to a positive relationship. Since King Charles announced his illness, his sister and brother have also stepped up in the number of royal engagements they take on, with Princess Anne being known as the hardest working royal.

King Charles’ closeness with his brother Andrew is believed to be the reason he waited so long to take any kind of step regarding his titles, despite Andrew’s numerous controversies. But the good will reportedly ends with Charles. A source recently told The Telegraph that William knows “something still needs to be done” with Andrew, and he will not hesitate to strip him of his title when he becomes king.

According to experts, the relationship between William and Andrew has not been good for a while. British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News earlier this year that the Prince of Wales has had a “grudge against his disgraced uncle” for some time and will take matters into his own hands about it when he’s king.

RadarOnline also recently reported that King Charles wants both Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson removed from Royal Lodge after the Mail on Sunday posted leaked emails showing that Ferguson apologized to Epstein just weeks after publicly disowning him in 2011.

“The king feels deeply that Royal Lodge cannot remain a sanctuary for the Duke and Duchess of York. After everything that has come out, he wants them out. It’s not just about optics anymore – it’s about trying to preserve the integrity of the monarchy,” one insider told the outlet.

Royal Lodge is famously located in Windsor Great Park, which puts Andrew in close proximity to the rest of the British royal family. The location also necessitates security for Andrew, which is also something that has come up after he gave up his titles and honors. So, the King wanting them out of palace grounds makes sense, as that could solve two problems.

What it doesn’t solve is the issue of King Charles’ relationship with his brother, but at this point, that’s a way more complicated issue.

  • Andrew Officially Surrenders Royal Title After Report He & Charles Reached a ‘Tipping Point’ in Their Feud: ‘I Vigorously… ‘

The fact that Prince Andrew had made it this far with his title still intact and remaining in contact with the rest of the British royal family says a lot about the institution in general, and King Charles in particular. The King has always been reluctant to cut off his brother completely, and even their mother, Queen Elizabeth II, only went as far as to demote him as a working royal without taking away his title or his comforts. But now, things are changing.

Even though the Duke of York was recently photographed with members of the royal family at the funeral of the Duchess of Kent, it wasn’t until the Sarah Ferguson email leaks that things reached a breaking point. And that has culminated in a shocking announcement by Prince Andrew himself.

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, Oct. 17, Prince Andrew said he will no longer use his title or honors. A statement read, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” he added. “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

This comes after The Times reported things had reached “a tipping point” that had left the King considering stripping Prince Andrew of his title as the Duke of York. A royal source revealed King Charles was “considering all options.” Removing the title would not have been easy, as it required an act of parliament, but sources believed the move would have had both government and public support.

However, even then, reports indicated that the hope was that Prince Andrew would voluntarily give up the title before being forced.

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, have been involved in scandal after scandal, involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and, in Andrew’s case, his close relationship with a Chinese official at the center of the Beijing spy case. Just recently, leaked emails showed Ferguson asking Epstein for forgiveness for publicly denouncing him.

Years ago, Prince Andrew first lost the role of senior royal because he made light of his connection with Epstein. He was supposed to sort of fade into the background after that, but he never really has, and neither has Sarah Ferguson. That’s likely why the King reportedly started considering other options. The two have also reportedly not been invited to spend Christmas with the family at Sandringham.

A source close to King Charles told The Times not that long ago, “You can’t sack someone from being your brother. But this year, if the duke and duchess were both to be as honourable [as last year], it would be very much for the best and the family would not be disappointed, not least to avoid the King having to make any more difficult decisions.”

Seven charities removed Sarah Ferguson as patron or ambassador after the recent scandal of her apology to Epstein. Those charities are Prevent Breast Cancer, the Teenage Cancer Trust, Children’s Hospice Julia’s House, the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, the Children’s Literacy Charity, and the British Heart Foundation. And now, it seems like the rest of the family is cutting ties with her and Prince Andrew, at least in public.

  • ‘Dying’ Charles Is ‘Chasing Away’ Camilla Amid Reports They’re ‘Divorced in Everything But Name’—’History Can’t Be Rewritten’

King Charles’ illness has made him reconsider many things, and that seems to include his relationship with his younger son, Prince Harry. This is a pretty normal thing; being faced with mortality makes us think about the things we want to change before we’re gone. But that decision might be causing a different rift within the British royal family.

According to the Examiner, “The king knows history can’t be rewritten — Harry and Meghan left the royal family and he wrote Spare. But he wants to mend his relationship with his son before he dies.”

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

But that’s causing problems with the rest of his family. “By welcoming his second-born back into the fold, though, he’s chasing away his wife, who doesn’t seem to be as willing to forgive her stepson for all he’s said about her and her husband, and the heir to the throne.”

There are reports that Prince William also wants nothing to do with Harry, and that a reconciliation there might be more complicated.

All of this comes amid reports from RadarOnline.com that the King and Queen’s marriage is anything but good. In fact, recent reports talked about how Camilla was “irritating him beyond belief” amid reports that she requested a library be added to Buckingham Palace as part of its $499 million renovation. The place contains 775 rooms but has not had a library since King George IV donated the King’s Library to the British Museum in the early 19th century.

The source added, “She’s made it clear to Charles that this is her single, most important request. But he finds it frustrating. The size and expense of the renovation are already weighing heavily on him, and her demand for an additional room drives him to distraction.”

And that’s not the only recent report about the marriage having issues. A source told Radar Online in September that the couple are “divorced in everything but name” and the two lead “largely separate lives” to “keep up with appearances.” “They are putting on a united front in public, especially because Charles is ill, but behind the scenes it’s a very different picture,” the source explained.

Does that mean the two will get a divorce? Unlikely, the source said. “They remain committed in their own way, but it’s not the kind of marriage most people would recognize,” adding, “Charles is absorbed in his health and responsibilities, while Camilla prioritizes her time at Ray Mill. At this point, it’s the crown that binds them – not the relationship itself.”

Considering recent reports from the outlet that King Charles was “dying,” all of this makes sense, though Queen Camilla is still being heavily criticized for things like not accompanying King Charles to his vacation residence in Balmoral Castle for his annual summer vacation. What did she do instead? Well, Camilla took a solo vacation aboard the $40 million superyacht Zenobia in the Mediterranean off the coast of Greece.

“Who knows how much time Charles has left, and she takes a high-profile vacation without him? Queen Elizabeth – who never particularly cared for Camilla – must be rolling over in her grave,” Radar Online’s source said.

She’s staying away; he’s more interested in reconciling with his son. Doesn’t bode well.

  • Charles & William Just Confirmed Where They Stand After Reports They’re Not Speaking Over the Prince’s ‘Betrayal’ to the Crown’

King Charles’ issues with Prince Harry have been well-documented. But as the issues with Prince Harry have reportedly been getting better in the last few months, with the two even meeting in person for the first time in over a year in September, the relationship with his oldest son and heir, Prince William, has reportedly deteriorated. It’s like there’s gotta be drama somewhere.

However, whatever’s going on with father and son, they still know how to put on a good face together. That’s right, the two made a rare joint appearance on Thursday, October 9, at a reception ahead of the COP30 climate summit, which will be held in the Brazilian city of Belem. The Prince of Wales is set to attend the conference on behalf of King Charles.

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

Both the King and Prince William have long been advocates of preserving nature. William’s own Earthshot awards will be held in Brazil ahead of the COP summit. So, if they were going to pick one event for a joint appearance, this one certainly makes sense.

Ironically, though, this comes as rumors of a possible feud between them have been swirling. Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop recently reported that King Charles was upset about Prince William’s interview with Eugene Levy for his Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler. During the show, William spoke candidly about his hopes for the future of the monarchy, and also about his childhood and what he views as mistakes of the past that he doesn’t want repeated.

Rumors are that King Charles did not take that well, to the point their relationship had “collapsed into silence.” Even then, Shuter reported that aides were trying to do everything possible to bring them back together for a “peace walk,” so this joint appearance isn’t a surprise. It also might not even mean anything about their relationship, since recent reports indicated that at this point “trust is shattered” between the two.

The King sees it as betrayal, not honesty,” a source said about William’s remarks. Another one added, “It’s not just family tension—it’s about the Crown itself.”

Prince William and King Charles have reportedly not been seeing eye to eye about the monarchy in general for a while, and that has put strain on their relationship. With The Daily Beast reporting that their relationship these days is “tense, difficult, formal, and fraught,” and that “the vast majority of their communication is mediated by their private secretaries.”

Prince William spoke a little bit about his desire for change in his latest interview, but this has been going on for a while. One source told The Daily Beast that, “to William, continuing to run the monarchy as though it were still an Edwardian institution feels absurd. To Charles, his son’s more casual approach can feel like a lack of respect for duty and tradition.”

Then there’s the Prince Harry reunion, something Prince William was reportedly not on board with. King Charles chose to do it anyway.

All signs that the relationship might, at the very least, need some work. But considering the two are willing to appear together, it might not be as bad as some say.

  • Trump & Charles’ Relationship Takes Unexpected Turn After Dispute of ‘Trust’

The reports about King Charles‘ relationship with US President Donald Trump have felt like something out of a novel. First, they’re friends, then they’re not, then there’s a feud, then Trump goes to the UK for a second state visit, so it’s all well. It’s hard to keep up with what is allegedly going on in the relationship at any given time. The two have always seemed cordial in public, but that hasn’t stopped the reports, which seemed to kick up a notch after the President’s latest state visit.

Now, however, some reports seem to indicate the relationship is just fine, particularly considering what happened with the Eisenhower sword. According to the BBC and CBS News, the director of the Dwight D Eisenhower Presidential Library has stepped down after a clash with the Trump administration over gifting a sword in its collection to King Charles.

Related: Here are the celebrities who support Donald Trump

Todd Arrington, the head of the library in Kansas, resigned his position after refusing to remove an original sword from the library’s collection so it could be given to King Charles during Trump’s visit to the UK last month. The King was given a replica, Buckingham Palace said at the time. The Queen, meanwhile, was given a Tiffany & Co. vintage 18-carat gold, diamond, and ruby flower brooch.

In an interview with CBS News, Arrington said he was told to “resign or be fired.” He also said, “Apparently, they believed I could no longer be trusted with confidential information,” though he did not give more information about this matter.

The idea behind the present was to emphasize the importance of the US-UK relationship after World War II. However, Arrington said he couldn’t hand over an artifact that was accepted as a donation, according to sources. He reportedly offered to help find a different gift, but was rebuffed.

All of this comes after recent reports that Trump was left quite upset after the state banquet in the UK. RadarOnline reported that Trump was upset about the amount of alcohol at the banquet, seeing as he doesn’t drink. According to one insider, “He felt like the message was deliberate. Every course came with another drink, and while everyone else toasted and laughed, he sat with his glass untouched. To him, it looked like they were mocking the fact he doesn’t drink – and that left him raging.”

However, President Trump had nothing but good things to say about King Charles and the entire royal family afterwards. He said King Charles was “wonderful” and described the Royal Family as “great hosts.” The President was also seen smiling with the Princess of Wales during the banquet. So, perhaps the relationship is not actually doing all that badly.

We’re back to where we were at the beginning. Conflicting reports. But one thing we know for sure is: the Eisenhower sword is still in the Dwight D Eisenhower Presidential Library and has not been gifted to King Charles, in case anyone’s keeping track of that.

  • Charles Took His 1st Step Toward Officially Exiling Andrew & Fergie from the Royal Family After Reports ‘He Wants Them Out’

The Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson drama has been bad for a while. In fact, it’s been so bad for so long that, for a while, it seemed like it couldn’t even get worse. And then, new information came out. There were Sarah Ferguson’s leaked emails published on the Mail on Sunday apologizing to Epstein for publicly condemning him. Then there was new information about Prince Andrew visiting Epstein’s Island. So, of course, people were really interested in how the royal family would react.

It was just days ago, after all, that Prince Andrew was photographed with members of the royal family at the funeral of the Duchess of Kent. But the situation has developed quickly, and now new reports indicate that the King has told his brother and Sarah Ferguson that they will not be welcome at the family’s Christmas celebrations this year. Despite Prince Andrew’s troubles and the fact that he is no longer a working royal, he continued to attend family gatherings, including Christmas celebrations.

Related: Here’s what each royal inherited from Queen Elizabeth

The Times is reporting the King is set to keep both at arm’s length after the new revelations and would prefer the two to be “invisible” at future gatherings. Last year, King Charles reportedly asked Sarah Ferguson for help convincing Andrew to “do the decent thing” and stay away from the royal family’s Christmas gathering after reports of his close relationship with alleged Chinese spy, Yang Tengbo.

Back then, a source close to the King said, “You can’t sack someone from being your brother. But this year, if the duke and duchess were both to be as honourable [as last year], it would be very much for the best and the family would not be disappointed, not least to avoid the King having to make any more difficult decisions.”

Reportedly, the King isn’t looking to completely banish his brother, just make sure he isn’t seen in public with the family, according to a family friend. “The King is not of the mind to banish someone worshipping at church or attending family occasions like a funeral. But he would hope they would find a more discreet way of attending these events. In the Duke of York’s case, he seems to relish the prospect of not being low-key about it.”

And that is precisely the problem that could force the King to make decisions. RadarOnline recently reported that King Charles wanted both his brother and Sarah Ferguson removed from Royal Lodge following the new revelations about their ties to Epstein, calling it the “final straw” for the couple.

“The king feels deeply that Royal Lodge cannot remain a sanctuary for the Duke and Duchess of York. After everything that has come out, he wants them out. It’s not just about optics anymore – it’s about trying to preserve the integrity of the monarchy,” one insider said.

It looks like consequences are finally coming for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and though it’s not the consequences they probably deserve, at least this time their association with Epstein isn’t just being completely ignored.

  • William Reportedly ‘Disgusted’ by Harry’s Attempt to ‘Manipulate’ Cancer-Stricken Charles While He’s ‘Still Alive’—He’s ‘Sickened’

Prince William is indeed past the point of no return when it comes to his brother Prince Harry. Now that the Duke of Sussex has reached a reunion with King Charles, the Prince of Wales isn’t pleased at all.

“It sickens William that Harry has wormed his way back into his father’s affections,” a source told RadarOnline. “To him, it’s just wrong on every level — and utterly ridiculous.”

Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had a private tea with the Duke of Sussex at Clarence House and said no additional details would be shared. After their 55-minute meeting, Prince Harry was smiling as he entered the car. “The fact Harry now has this direct line back to the family – despite all the pain and misery he’s inflicted – simply defies belief. William is totally bewildered and frustrated that it’s being sanctioned. It totally changes royal history.”

They continued, saying that King Charles’ cancer treatment is a big factor: “William’s big point is that there’s no evidence to suggest Harry has changed. He’s convinced this groveling effort is part of an overall plot for the Sussexes to hold on to their precious titles and try to salvage what they can from the monarchy, while his father’s still alive to be manipulated.”

However, William’s behavior is causing concern for other members of the royal family. “The king and others – Kate included – are urging William to show mercy and give peace a chance, but he’s saying that’ll happen when hell freezes over.

“Harry may have wormed his way back into Charles’ heart, but it’s going to take a lot more to prove to William that he’s changed,” the source concluded

It lines up with other reports about William’s attitude towards Harry. According to the Daily Mail, the heir to the throne is angry that his brother is being welcomed back by their father. “William is back at the point where if you mention Prince Harry in his presence he would throw you out of the room,” a palace insider told the outlet. “He’s doubling down.”

The reunion between Charles and Harry proved to be successful for the latter. The Duke of Sussex told The Guardian that he would like to visit his father more often because of his cancer battle. “The focus really has to be on my dad,” he told the outlet. He also now seems to be willing to bring his kids to the UK, something he’d previously said he wouldn’t do. “Yes, I would. This week has definitely brought that closer,” he said.

  • Camilla Will ‘Never Forgive’ Harry’s ‘Cruel Assaults’ on Her Despite the Prince’s Reconciliation With Charles—His ‘Attacks’ Are ‘Personal’

It looks like Queen Camilla‘s relationship with Prince Harry will never be repaired. While there were green flag with the Duke of Sussex’s successful reunion with King Charles, it doesn’t look the same with his stepmother.

According to several sources like the Examiner, Camilla “will never forgive” Harry. “She’s still livid over what he wrote about her” in his memoir Spare, “and what he said in follow-up interviews.”

In Spare, Harry recounted how he viewed Camilla as a “villain” and how he felt when his father remarried. He wrote that he viewed her “like all the wicked stepmothers in storybooks,” noting that William “long harbored suspicions about the Other Woman.”

“I had complex feelings about gaining a step parent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar,” Harry wrote. “In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she’d be less dangerous if she was happy?”

According to some sources, Camilla has no intentions to reconcile. “Harry’s attacks felt very personal to her,” a source told RadarOnline. “Camilla has endured criticism for much of her life, but to have Charles’ own son describe her as calculating and a threat is beyond what she can accept. She thinks those words caused lasting damage.”

“To her, Harry’s remarks went beyond rudeness – they struck at her character,” another insider told the gossip site. “Camilla spent years slowly earning trust within the family and from the public. His accusations tore open old wounds she believed were finally closed.”

Despite how Camilla feels, her husband doesn’t want to burn bridges. “Charles finds the situation agonizing,” a friend of the king said. “He makes efforts to reach out to Harry, but Camilla always brings him back to the hurtful passages in the memoir. It’s the sticking point that makes healing the rift so hard.”

Another source added, “Camilla often stresses that Harry and Meghan stepped away from their duties, and she uses that to bolster her case. Whenever Charles shows signs of softening, she reminds him of the attacks directed at her.”

And it doesn’t seem like the grudge will go away. “In public she puts on a gracious face, but privately the resentment remains – and it’s unlikely she’ll ever let it go.”

In an interview with Good Morning America after the books publication, Harry clarified Michael Strahan that there wasn’t harsh feelings towards Camilla. “We haven’t spoken for a long time. I love every member of my family, despite the differences,” Harry said. “So when I see her, we’re perfectly pleasant with each other. She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother. I see someone who married into this institution, and done everything she can to improve her own reputation and her own image, for her own sake.”

Harry spoke positively of his reunion with his father, and considered bringing his kids to his homeland. “Yes, I would. This week has definitely brought that closer,” he said during an interview with The Guardian.

During the same interview, Prince Harry was asked about the revelations made in his memoir, about his family, and said, “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear,” he explained. “I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative,” he added. “The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected.”

  • Meghan Reportedly Made ‘Groveling Call’ to Charles After He Accused Her of Making ‘Hurtful Remarks’—It Was ‘Humiliating’

King Charles and Prince Harry’s long-awaited reunion is having side effects with the monarch’s relationship with the Duke of Sussex’s wife, Meghan Markle.

A source told Radar Online in a report published on September 23, 2025, that Meghan made a “humiliating” and “grovelling” call to Charles after Harry informed her that the king was “hurt” by “public rmearks” they had made as a couple.

“This was the first occasion in a long time that Harry actually offered an apology,” the insider said. “He acknowledged that some of his and Meghan’s public remarks had been hurtful. Whether Charles accepted it is unclear, but the exchange was certainly emotional.”

The source claimed that the call, which lasted a few minutes, was the first time Meghan had spoken to Charles in two years and that Harry was the one who encouraged her to make contact with his father.

“The call was brief, but it carried weight,” the source said. “Meghan told the King she wanted to see relationships repaired. Harry was eager to show them both that the family bond is still there and that it could be rebuilt, particularly for the children’s sake. He’s determined to make it feel like one united family again.”

As for the result of the call, the source claimed that it was only the start of Harry and Meghan’s journey to get back in the good graces of the British royal family. The insider also added that, while Charles is open to repairing his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, his wife, Queen Camilla, is less than excited to do so after Harry referred to her as a “villain” in his 2023 book, Spare.

“Meghan’s call was more symbolic than substantial – no one believes a brief greeting can undo years of tension,” the insider said. “Charles might be inclined to forgive, but it’s William Harry has to win over, and he isn’t shifting. And Camilla? She hasn’t forgotten the insults and has no interest in engaging.”

As for Harry’s intentions with reuniting with Charles, which happened while he was in the UK for the WellChild Awards in September 2025, the source claimed that the Duke of Sussex had ulterior motives. “Some believe he’s maneuvering to edge his way back into the fold, and that it is inevitable he will betray them all over again,” the insider said.

The source continued, “Despite the interviews and the memoir, he still seems to want the privileges of royal life without the responsibilities. With the Invictus Games set to return to the UK in 2027, he understands the event carries more clout with royal backing. But without William’s support, it won’t have the same influence.”

  • Charles ‘Health More Fragile Than Reported’ as William & Kate Expected to Take the Throne ‘Sooner Than Either Imagined’

Things are getting more serious for Prince William and Kate Middleton. With King Charles’ health deteriorating, the Prince and Princess of Wales are taking up more royal duties, and their efforts aren’t going unnoticed.

“Behind the scenes, there are murmurs Charles’ health is more fragile than reported,” a source told RadarOnline about the monarch’s cancer treatment. “William and Kate are acutely aware it could mean stepping up sooner than either imagined.”

According to the tabloid site, the couple seemed more somber and tense than usual. “William and Kate remain strong as a couple, but the strain is showing. Harry’s meeting with Charles has reopened old wounds. Kate would like to see some form of peace, but William is firm. He feels Harry must earn back trust before they can even think about it.”

After their summer break, William and Kate made a joint appearance at the Natural History Museum. Kate debuted with blonde hair and was immediately met with troll comments. “It was a difficult appearance for them. Given the weight they’re carrying, it’s no surprise if a little tension showed.”

Prince Harry reunited with his father on Sept. 10 for a private tea. Though the reunion was successful, a spokesman for the Duke of Sussex told People: “The duke has made it clear that the focus is his father. Beyond that, and on any other issues as it relates to his family, we won’t be commenting.”

Prince William has been clear about his stance against his brother, with multiple sources saying that he would have stopped it if he had known. “Kate means well and wants what’s best for him,” a source told RadarOnline. “But William believes this is a moment for caution, not making peace. That difference in outlook adds to the strain they’re under.”

Speaking about the two brothers, King Charles’ former personal butler, Grant Harrold, told The Post, “William is worried that with the stuff Harry has said, he could use it to his advantage again … like he’s already done. I think, sadly, they don’t trust him. It’s a shame, because Harry wants them to.”
