  • Princess Kate is a ‘quietly fearless’ royal in the most daring deep V-necks

The Princess of Wales is what one may refer to as a ‘respectable’ dresser. You won’t see the royal rocking risque items; she is very loyal to her working role and wears classic clothes that are stylish but not distracting. We’ve seen Kate sport dress coats, midi frocks, tailored blazers, high heels, and tailored trousers, all pristine and without much skin showing. When it comes to necklines, they tend to be timeless and never reveal too much; she opts for button-up blouses and favours the crew cut when it comes to her T-shirts and tops. That being said, we have seen her wear some necklines that are pretty daring over the years. Albeit not often, but they’re there! They tend to be on what one may call a ‘night off’, so during a premiere or party, not during a royal day visit.

    Fashion rules and royal etiquette

It is thought that hemlines and necklines need to be monitored when it comes to dressing as a royal. With that in mind, we’ve seen Kate’s fashion transition over the years, from daring university student to a classic royal bride in 2011. Who can forget when Kate wore that black, knee-length sheer dress at university in 2001?  Danielle Stacy,  Hello!’s Online Royal Correspondent said of the style: “When the now Princess of Wales selected the sheer dress to wear at a charity show, I doubt she realised at the time how significant the garment would be in her love story with Prince William. Initially designed as a skirt, Kate styled it out as a dress and when she sashayed down the catwalk, it’s been widely reported that that was the moment where she really captured the Prince’s attention.”

When Kate and William got engaged in 2010, the world was introduced to the son of King Charles’s future bride and fell in love with her almost instantly. Kate chose to wear an incredible dress at the photocall, and it was universally considered iconic. Designed by UK brand Issa London, Kate’s striking navy wrap dress was the talk of St James’s Palace. The elegant silk style was designed in royal blue and featured a gentle V-neckline, which was a look that was very of the moment.

Kate loved the style so much that she actually wore it again a year later.  During the Royal Tour of Canada in 2011, after she and William were married, the brunette royal opted for the same style by Issa, in another regal colour – deep purple. The mother-of-three accessorised the style with a simple clutch bag, high-heeled shoes, and a Maple leaf brooch, borrowed from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Kate’s most famous V-neckline of all has to be the style she sported in 2021. The Princess wore this showstopping, gold glittering gown at the James Bond: No Time to Die film premiere that year, and the look went viral. The Jenny Peckham dress featured shoulder pads and a flattering V-neck, with long, draped sleeves and a dazzling sequin finish.

  • Prince William and Gisele Bündchen Join Forces for Climate Campaign in Brazil

Prince William has added a supermodel to his delegation of eco-friendly spokespeople. None other than Brazilian fashion mogul Gisele Bündchen has joined the board of the Earthshot Prize, the initiative of King Charles III’s son supporting inventions for the environment and sustainability. “Guided by her love for her family, community and nature, Gisele has long inspired millions with her vision and commitment to positive change,” a statement on the official initiative Instagram read, emphasizing the value of Bündchen’s “leadership,” as well as her “dedication” that will be “invaluable” to “Brazil and beyond.”

“Honored” to join the movement, Bündchen renewed her pledge to be a spokesperson for the protection of nature, a cause that has long been close to her heart. “I’ve seen the power of global communities coming together and supporting innovation to create real change,” she said in a statement shared with People. “The Earthshot Award highlights solutions that inspire hope and transformation, and I’m proud to represent Brazil by sharing these stories with the world.”

The model joins a host of other celebrities who have advocated for the cause, including two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, Queen Rania of Jordan, and British journalist Sir David Attenborough. By accepting this role, the fourteen members of the Council commit themselves to promoting positive action in favor of the environment. Their votes also count in determining the five winners of the Earthshot Prize, awarded each autumn under the chairmanship of Christiana Figueres.

Bündchen’s nomination comes just a month and a half before the Earthshot Prize ceremony, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro on November 5. The red carpet is already shaping up to be glamorous. The Prince of Wales has announced that he will be attending, but the presence of his wife, Kate Middleton, has not yet been announced.

  • Kate Middleton Explains a House Rule: No Phones for the Kids

Kate Middleton has written an impassioned essay warning that smartphones and computers are a source of “constant distraction,” a plague that interrupts family life and threatens to make the next generation “the most isolated in history.”

The Princess of Wales—who shares children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with husband Prince William—added that devices can prevent parents from fully engaging with their children, “withdrawing the basic form of love that human connection requires.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales have a strict no phone policy for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, pictured at Trooping the Colour in 2023

The essay, written in collaboration with Professor Robert Waldinger from Harvard Medical School, was published Thursday on the website of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. Children’s mental health and wellbeing have become a pillar of Kate’s royal work as she champions the importance of early childhood development.

But this is more than just an intellectual exercise for the Princess of Wales. Prince William recently revealed that none of their children is allowed a smart phone, as they encourage quality, screen-free family time at home.

The princess explains the rationale further in her new essay. “When we check our phones during conversations, scroll through social media during family dinners, or respond to e-mails while playing with our children, we’re not just being distracted we are withdrawing the basic form of love that human connection requires,” she writes.

  • Harry Accused of ‘Blatant Attempt’ to ‘Upstage’ William & Kate—’People Are Livid’

Prince Harry is being accused of trying to “upstage” Prince William and Kate Middleton with a “cynical PR stunt.”

The accusations came after Harry—who is estranged from William, Kate and his father King Charles—sent a wreath and a handwritten letter to be placed in honor of his grandfather, Prince Philip, at the Burma Star Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in London on September 2025. The service, which was held on VJ Day, honored the “Forgotten Army,” who fought in the Pacific during World War II. many members of the british royal family, including Charles and his wife Queen Camilla, were also at the event.

“For me, this anniversary carries an added layer of meaning. My late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, served in the Pacific campaign. He spoke with quiet humility about those years, but I know how deeply he respected all who stood beside him in that theatre of war,” Harry wrote in the letter.

He continued, “Your story is part of our shared heritage, and it must never be forgotten. With the deepest respect, thank you.” While the note was heartfelt, royal experts questioned its timing. One source said the move felt “far too polished to be genuine.”

    Charles, William, Harry

Weeks later, Harry is accused of using the memorial as a “PR play” to earn positive press. “Harry’s move was no accident. Arriving after the King had gone made it seem respectful on the surface – but the timing, the note, and the perfectly staged photos made it obvious it was a PR play. People in the palace were livid. It was meant to be the King’s moment of remembrance, yet Harry managed to turn the spotlight back on himself,” a source told Radar Online in October 2025.

The insider continued, “If this wasn’t a PR stunt, Harry could have laid the note quietly and walked away. But the fact it was captured and shared so neatly tells you everything you need to know.”

Another source told the site that Harry’s move “caught everyone off guard. as “no one had Harry on the schedule.” The insider continued, “The event had been planned for months, with the King and Camilla front and center. For Harry to appear afterward, conveniently with cameras waiting, felt very deliberate and carefully orchestrated.”

The insider also accused Harry of trying to steal the “spotlight” from William and Kate, whose health is still recovering after battling cancer earlier in 2025. “Everyone knows Kate is still easing back into things and prioritizing her recovery and family. William fully backs her on that. But some people saw Harry’s gesture as a way of stepping into the spotlight – a reminder that he still wants to be noticed,” the insider said.

Another source also added how Philip would have felt, “Philip was a serviceman. He never made things about himself. He’d have thought Harry’s letter was self-indulgent.”

As for Charles’ opinion, a source added that the king was “deeply frustrated” by Harry’s move. “Charles intended the day to honor the veterans and the nation’s remembrance,” the insider said. “But once again, it turned into a story about family tensions. It was exactly the kind of distraction he doesn’t need.”

  • Supernanny on Prince William and Princess Kate’s ‘hopeful future’ with George, Charlotte, and Louis

The Prince and Princess of Wales are proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, raising them privately while allowing for appearances as a family of five as part of their service of the public. The small insights into how William and Kate, both 43, are raising their children with their shows of affection in public offer an indication of what goes on behind closed doors, and parenting expert and star of Supernanny, Jo Frost, is encouraged by what she sees.

“Parenting is no easy task, and when lived under the world’s gaze, the challenge magnifies tenfold. Yet in Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, I see not only future monarchs but devoted parents whose grounded approach provides reassurance for their family and inspiration for others,” Jo, 55, has said in a new comment on the royal couple.

Supernanny Jo Frost says Prince William and Princess Kate have a grounded parenting approach

“William and Catherine are more than partners in duty; they are parents in vision with complementary strengths. William carries the weight of history and responsibility but also the empathy of a man shaped by loss and scrutiny, wanting to get it right for his children,” she added. “He places emotional safety and stability at the heart of his parenting. Catherine pairs this with calm, centered, hands-on practicality. Her championing of early childhood development echoes my own mission, deeply personal and reflective of her home life.”

William and Kate’s teamwork in parenting

Jo went on to say that William and Kate embody a strength that balances one another and creates harmony and structure for their three children. “Despite their titles and difficulties of late, they remain grounded in everyday life, intentional in giving George, Charlotte, and Louis as normal a childhood as possible,” she said. “School runs, outdoor adventures, family routines, and their choice to keep their children off screens and social media remind their little ones that beyond the royal stage, they belong to a family rooted in love.”

The parenting expert also said that the royal couple reminds those raising a young brood that children don’t need perfect parents. “They need presence. William and Catherine understand this. Their grounded approach speaks volumes,” Jo reflected. “Their parenting is not about privilege but responsibility. Their children learn that true leadership lies in service, kindness, and contribution.

Jo says their parenting is not about privilege but responsibility

“They model a life where titles matter less than integrity and where legacy is built not only through position but through compassion. The royal parents are indeed a dynamic duo, and in their hands, the future feels steady, compassionate, and hopeful, one full of promise for our young ones who will see them lead one day.”

  • Kate Middleton Sweetly Apologizes to Young Admirers for Not Wearing a Gown to RAF Base

The suit jacket and pants that won the princess over were designed by Bella Freud, who also hosts the popular fashion podcast Fashion Neurosis. Indeed, the look has several elements that are hallmarks of the royal’s signature style: A British brand, impeccable tailoring, and a meaningful pattern, the Prince of Wales check, also known as Glen Plaid.

Among the reasons that might have led Kate to reintroduce the outfit so soon, other than to give it another spin before sending it to the cleaners as ordinary women would, might be the effort to shift public focus from the clothes she wears to the work she does. Without a new look to analyze, the RAF pilots she visited and the aircrafts she toured could take the spotlight.

But the royal had not counted on meeting the local princesses, young children whose families live on and around the base. The crowd of tots had donned their best dresses to meet the princess. “Where is my dress? If I had known…” she exclaimed, as she stopped to chat with a particularly elegant little group, according to reports in the British press.

“I’m sorry I didn’t wear my dress today. Thank you for coming to see me,” she told one of her little admirers.

  • Prince William on the “Hardest Year” of His Life, Reassuring His Children After Kate Middleton’s Cancer Diagnosis, and Charles and Diana’s Divorce

Clearly hands-on as a father, William described how his work day, which is not a typical 9-to-5, is scheduled around his family life as much as possible.

“I do try and stick to school timetables as best as possible. So, most days we’re in and out of school doing pickups and drop-offs. Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important. Because for me, the most important thing in my life is family, and everything is about the future and about if you don’t start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you’re setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall. And so, it’s about making sure that we can look after our families, look after our children, in a way that is best for their future.”

When speaking about his family’s privacy, William noted the struggles he faced during his own childhood, when the press speculated about every element of his parents’ lives, marriage, and breakup. “If you’re not careful, you can intrude so much into someone’s life that actually you start unpicking everything. And growing up, I saw that with my parents. The media were so insatiable back then—it’s hard to think of it now, but they were much more insatiable. They wanted every bit of detail they could absorb, and they were in everything, literally everywhere. They would know things, they’d be everywhere,” he said. “And if you let that creep in, the damage it can do to your family life is something that I vowed would never happen to my family. And so, I take a very strong line about where I think that line is, and those who overstep it, you know, I’ll fight against.”

  • William & Kate Split Report Resurfaces Months After He Secretly Hired Divorce Lawyers

Remember a few months ago when Prince William hired divorce lawyers and everyone was worried that meant he was, you know, getting a divorce? But then, at the time, the move was merely spun as him trying to break away from his father by hiring new representation, and since he and Kate seemed to be doing well, everyone accepted it. Well, new reports are now surfacing about a different time when the two split, which puts that rumored troubled time in their marriage into perspective.

Back in 2007, Prince William and Kate Middleton famously split and then got back together. And on Valentine’s Day 2008, William was determined to show Middleton that he was serious about their relationship. At least that’s what Grant Harrold, King Charles III’s former butler, says in his memoir, The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life in Royal Service.

Related: Did William really cheat on Kate?

“When they got back together, it was fresh, it was like a double boost,” Harrold wrote. “They both were making more of an effort. … [They had] this romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day, which they asked me to do, which they had never done before. They hadn’t done anything like that before. Suddenly, they wanted to do that. I felt that [William] was saying, ‘Look, I’m serious. This is going to up a level.’ That’s what I felt.”

“And, of course, a few years after that, they carried on,” Harrold added, “It was almost like a reset button, but this was serious. The first time around, it was boyfriend-girlfriend, ‘Oh, let’s eat here, let’s chill here, let’s do that.’ Suddenly, it was a bit more, ‘I’m serious, and I’m going to show you I’m serious.’ That’s how it came across, which was amazing.”

The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life in Royal Service

The butler recalled how he had offered a formal dinner for the couple ever since they went public in 2004, but they always laughed it off. But when Valentine’s Day 2008 approached, William suddenly said, “OK, let’s do a dinner, if you’re happy to.”

“I felt truly honored and delighted that William had taken me up on my offer,” Harrold wrote. “Even though it was a typically chilly February evening, we planned for it to be outside the main house, at the top of the Thyme Walk, the stunning avenue of clipped golden yew and herb bushes bound on two sides by a pleached hornbeam hedge that leads down to the lily pond at the bottom.”

Harrold worked for the King’s household from 2004 to 2011. “I left after they got married, so at least I got to actually see that part of their lives,” he said. “And it was a good time also to have left because they left Highgrove. My role would [not have] been looking after them anymore, and I loved looking after them.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton weren’t broken up for long in 2007, and after they reconciled, the relationship got stronger, and eventually the two went on to marry in 2011 and now have three kids together. And though they have had to contend with plenty of divorce rumors since then, as happens to many couples in the spotlight, it seems like they are stronger than they’ve ever been.

  • Kate Faces ‘Horrific’ New ‘Crisis’ After ‘Unbelievably Cruel’ Cancer Experience

It’s been weeks since Kate Middleton debuted her new blonde look and quickly retracted it, but friends of the Princess of Wales are coming to her defense. After her cancer treatment, she has been working hard since her remission.

Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out to see the Natural History Museum’s newly transformed gardens on Sept. 4, and the Princess sported blonde locks with her signature curls. Netizens immediately criticized the look, with some claiming it was a wig. A friend of the royal told RadarOnline, “Kate came back from her summer break feeling positive, only to be slammed over her appearance. She admitted it left her anxious and doubting herself. After receiving so much kindness since her diagnosis, being torn down over something trivial was really tough.”

“Kate has always shown strength, but this autumn has been relentless,” a friend said, referring to King Charles’ cancer treatment and Prince Harry’s reconciliation efforts with his father (which William is heavily opposed to). “With the family tensions and criticism of her appearance, she’s questioned how much more she can cope with.”

    Kate Middleton

Despite it all, Kate knows how to keep her head high. “Even at her lowest, Kate managed to compose herself,” a source elaborated. “She knows public scrutiny comes with the role, but the cruel comments still hurt. Now she’s channeling her energy into regaining strength and carrying out her work.”

When social media users called the wig unflattering, the insults dug deep. “It is her armor,” said one source. “But she’s determined not to let criticism about it define her.”

Related: The Damning Ultimatum Charles Gave Harry After Their Reunion: ‘The King Has Been Absolutely Clear… ‘

“Some of the remarks were vile,” another source told the site. “People were mocking her, calling the blonde look a wig to cover bald patches.”

“Given what she’s been through, that sort of trolling is horrific,” they continued. “She’s worked hard to be open about cancer but also dignified – it’s disgusting that people use it as a weapon against her.”

A second insider said, “Kate is deeply committed to her role and never grumbles. Still, she’s only human. After enduring months of chemotherapy, changes to her hair are an inevitable reality. Mocking that is unbelievably cruel.” The Princess of Wales notably changed her hair color back to brown following the backlash.

Amid the hate comments, Sam McKnight, who worked as Diana’s personal hairstylist for seven years before her death, took to Instagram on Sept. 4 to defend Prince William’s wife’s hair makeover. “I am shocked, horrified, dismayed and disgusted by all the nasty comments about the Princess of Wales today,” he wrote in a post. “A woman’s hair is very personal to her, it’s armor, defense, confidence and so much more.”

He continued, “I cannot believe how evil and lacking in any kind of empathy are the comments, the majority made apparently by other women, attacking a vulnerable other young woman, who has no choice, by dint of who she married and the role she took on, to bravely face the public.”

  • Charles ‘Health More Fragile Than Reported’ as William & Kate Expected to Take the Throne ‘Sooner Than Either Imagined’

Things are getting more serious for Prince William and Kate Middleton. With King Charles’ health deteriorating, the Prince and Princess of Wales are taking up more royal duties, and their efforts aren’t going unnoticed.

“Behind the scenes, there are murmurs Charles’ health is more fragile than reported,” a source told RadarOnline about the monarch’s cancer treatment. “William and Kate are acutely aware it could mean stepping up sooner than either imagined.”

According to the tabloid site, the couple seemed more somber and tense than usual. “William and Kate remain strong as a couple, but the strain is showing. Harry’s meeting with Charles has reopened old wounds. Kate would like to see some form of peace, but William is firm. He feels Harry must earn back trust before they can even think about it.”

Related: The Damning Ultimatum Charles Gave Harry After Their Reunion: ‘The King Has Been Absolutely Clear… ‘

After their summer break, William and Kate made a joint appearance at the Natural History Museum. Kate debuted with blonde hair and was immediately met with troll comments. “It was a difficult appearance for them. Given the weight they’re carrying, it’s no surprise if a little tension showed.”

Prince Harry reunited with his father on Sept. 10 for a private tea. Though the reunion was successful, a spokesman for the Duke of Sussex told People: “The duke has made it clear that the focus is his father. Beyond that, and on any other issues as it relates to his family, we won’t be commenting.”

Prince William has been clear about his stance against his brother, with multiple sources saying that he would have stopped it if he had known. “Kate means well and wants what’s best for him,” a source told RadarOnline. “But William believes this is a moment for caution, not making peace. That difference in outlook adds to the strain they’re under.”

Speaking about the two brothers, King Charles’ former personal butler, Grant Harrold, told The Post, “William is worried that with the stuff Harry has said, he could use it to his advantage again … like he’s already done. I think, sadly, they don’t trust him. It’s a shame, because Harry wants them to.”

  • Royals embracing the ‘naked dress’ trend – including Kate Middleton and Princess Beatrice

Margot Robbie made headlines earlier this month when she stepped out on the red carpet  wearing a glittering Armani gown showing her thong as she promoted her new movie, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, in London. While the ‘naked dress’ trend isn’t something new for A-list celebrities – Kate Moss famously lighting the first match when she wore a sheer gown in 1993 – but, it is also something embraced by members of the British royal family.

While traditionally conservative with their dress sense, there have been moments when we’ve seen royals inspired by the sheer side of life when it comes to their sartorial portfolio. HELLO!’s Online Royal Correspondent Danicelle Stacey explains: “While the likes of the Princess of Wales are unlikely to ever fully embrace the naked dress trend, the examples we have seen some royal ladies wear never push the boundaries of what is appropriate for a member of the royal family. Their outfit choices are often a feminine, subtle play on the risqué design, proving that royals like to have fun with their fashion.”

Join us as we take a look at all the times members of the British royal family have embraced the ‘naked dress’ trend.

    The Princess of Wales

Kate, famously won Prince William’s heart after starring in her university fashion show in 2002, where she wore the ultimate naked dress of all naked dresses, strutting down the runway wearing a black lace shift dress showing her black underwear underneath.

The royal’s sheer dress was designed by fellow student Charlotte Todd, who had been studying for a degree in Fashion and Textiles at the University of the West of England, and created the garment for a project titled: “The Art of Seduction.”

“Everyone says that the fashion show was when the romance started, so a small part of me will always be part of royal history,” the budding designer previously told People magazine. “It’s madness!”

Since becoming the future Queen of England, Kate’s penchant for a see-through moment has dwindled but never died, as years later in 2015, the then-Duchess of Cambridge stepped out at the premiere of the James Bond film Spectre in a rather sheer number with a rather low back.

The design was a stunning creation from royally-loved designer, Jenny Packham. Though not as revealing as the ensemble from her student days, the pastel blue gown was a risque choice for the then Duchess.

One nearly naked moment came to be one of Princess Diana’s most famous sartorial displays back in September 1980, when the Princess of Wales, who was the then-Prince Charles’ new girlfriend and dressed in a purple sweater vest and lavender blouse with a patterned midi skirt.

Diana wasn’t wearing a slip under her skirt, so as she positioned herself with the sun behind her legs could be seen through the sheer skirt.

Ever the fashionista, it comes as no surprise that Lady Amelia has previously jumped on the ‘naked dress’ trend during one of her ever-so-stylish exploits. The occasion? The Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. The gown in question was a sultry black number which we think Margot Robbie would certainly approve of!

In 2017, Princess Beatrice dabbled in the ‘naked dress’ trend when she attended the V&A Summer party. While not as explicitly revealing as many of the others, Beatrice’s lace Self Portrait number was certainly one to remember.

  • Kate Middleton Shared a Mischevious Update on Prince Louis With Melania Trump

On September 18, the second and final day of Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK, Kate Middleton and Melania Trump shared a few secrets. The Princess of Wales and the First Lady of the United States met in the gardens of the Frogmore estate, near Windsor, for their first-ever joint outing. The two women accompanied young members of the Squirrels, a UK scouting group, for nature and craft activities. The watchword for this historic appearance? Casual, as evidenced by the outfits chosen by Kate and Melania: suede jackets, light-colored pants or long brown flared skirts. Their outdoor looks were far removed from the formal gowns of the state banquet held the day before with great ceremony. They were seen chatting with little interlocutors, aged four to six, and even got their hands dirty by helping them to draw pictures and observe garden insects.

During the afternoon, Prince William’s wife revealed the surprisingly seasonal new passion of her youngest son, Prince Louis, aged seven: chestnuts. Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s little brother doesn’t seem to appreciate the nuts for their gustatory qualities, but rather for collecting. “We keep finding conkers in cupboards, in his bed—conkers everywhere!” his mother explained, using the British term for brown horse chestnuts. Kate added that Louis also puts the chestnuts in his miniature trucks to play with. In March, Kate and William revealed Louis’s sporting hobby at a meeting with former rugby players who had to give up their careers due to severe injuries: “Louis is six and he’s just started touch rugby, and George is 11 and he plays a bit more,” she said. “They do really enjoy it.” Prince William added. “At weekends we go from one competition to the next.”

We also know that the youngest prince loves toasted marshmallows, which he enjoyed on his first official engagement with his family in May 2023. He also loves friendship bracelets, popularized by Taylor Swift, which he likes to steal from his sister Charlotte, a big fan of the singer. As for rhythm, his musical awakening seems to be going wonderfully well, if we are to believe his father’s recent declarations: “My youngest is learning the drums, which is why I spend most of my time with my fingers in my ears,” William humorously confided to Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones and Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, during a meeting last November.
