The pair already have two children together – Levi, four, and Elijah, two. Their latest addition to the family is a baby girl, whom they have named Rae Florence. Their daughter was born on Friday, September 18. Celebrity friends were quick to respond, with Tom Brady writing “Congratulations”, model Christy Turlington adding “At long last, she’s here!” Crooner Michael Bublé simply responded with five heart emojis.

Karlie met Joshua in her late teens, and the pair started dating the summer of 2012. In 2016, she tweeted: “Four years ago today I met my best friend.”

Six years later, in July 2018, they announced their engagement, with Karlie sharing on Instagram: “I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can’t wait for forever together. Yes a million times over.”

They tied the knot just a few months later, in October, with an intimate wedding in upstate New York.

The couple own three incredible properties together, each with plenty of room for a growing family. They recently purchased a beachside Malibu property for $30 million, nicknamed “The Wave House”.

The mid-century modern home sits on 6,200 square feet of land by the beach, housing six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The couple also own a $21.5 million mansion in Miami and a penthouse worth $35 million in New York City.

Karlie spoke out in both 2016 and 2020 about voting against Trump, telling British Vogue in 2019 that it had been “hard” to navigate their relationship with Ivanka and Jared.

  • Taylor Swift’s changing girl squad — from Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, to Zendaya and Karlie Kloss

Taylor Swift’s changing girl squad — from Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, to Zendaya and Karlie Kloss

    [ad_1]

Taylor Swift is on top of the world right now as her Eras Tour enters the UK leg. Many people have compared her meteoric success, with Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, with her 2014 popularity following the release of 1989.

It was a simpler time: Swifties weren’t concerned about masters, Taylor’s Version wasn’t a thing, and Taylor was walking around in a The 1975 shirt. She also had the ultimate girl squad, including Victoria’s Secret supermodels and Ed Sheeran.

The “Bad Blood” music video cemented the girl squad as a piece of history, as the likes of Selena Gomez, Kendrick Lamar, Lena Dunham and Gigi Hadid all came together for the star-studded music video.

More recently, the singer enjoyed a night out on the town in London’s Notting Hill, accompanied by old friends Lena and Cara Delevingne, as well as some new pals – Kate Moss, Stella McCartney, and Phoebe Waller Bridge.

But Taylor has certainly gained – and lost a few friends since the iconic music video came out. Here’s a look at Taylor’s girl squad – then and now.

Taylor’s friendship with Selena is a tale as old as time, as they bonded while both dating a Jonas brother in 2008. Their friendship has only gotten stronger over the years, with Selena calling Taylor her only celebrity friend.

The Girls creator is a big reason as to why Taylor identifies as a feminist. The singer explained in a Guardian interview that being friends with Lena showed the songstress a new approach to feminism: “Without her preaching to me, but just seeing why she believes what she believes, why she says what she says, why she stands for what she stands for – has made me realise that I’ve been taking a feminist stance without actually saying so.” Lena doesn’t even seem to mind that Taylor is best friends with her ex, Jack Antonoff.

Taylor counts Gigi as one of her close friends, explaining that the model “has this incredible ability to see all sides of a situation and simplify it for you, to see the complexity of people.” They are often seen spending time together, and Gigi even caught up with Taylor in Nashville on the Eras Tour.

The model became friends with Taylor after meeting during the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and their friendship blossomed as Cara joined Taylor onstage during her 1989 show. Cara joined Taylor during the AFC Championships, as Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs took on the Baltimore Ravens.

The Challengers star played a key role in the “Bad Blood” music video, appearing to be good friends. However, they haven’t really been seen together since, and fans have speculated this might be because Zendaya reportedly liked some tweets ‘dissing’ the singer during her feud with the Kardashians.

    Karlie Kloss

Taylor’s close relationship with Karlie Kloss has long been subject to speculation from Swifties, as they were once the best of friends. Karlie appeared at several shows during the 1989 tour, and they took photos together on walks.

Fans believe that when Taylor fell out with Scooter Braun over the sale of her masters, Karlie took the famous manager’s side as they had also been close friends. Now, Taylor only follows the model on Instagram, and Karlie was spotted in a distant seat when the Eras Tour hit California, as opposed to in one of the priority seats.

The Haim sisters are close friends of Taylor’s, after opening for her during the 1989 tour. They have since featured on her evermore album with “No Body, No Crime”. They also appeared in Taylor’s “Bejeweled” music video as evil step sisters.

Taylor and Blake are close friends, with the singer naming characters in her track “Betty” from the critically acclaimed folklore album after the actress’ three (at the time) children. The duo can often be seen going out for dinner together, and Blake even accompanied her bestie to the Super Bowl.

    Lorde

Taylor and Lorde seemed to bond as young singer songwriters, with the “Royals” singer spending time on the RED tour with her. Taylor even hugged Lorde during a performance of “22”. But the “Solar Power” singer has certainly had her critiques of Taylor, as she once described being friends with her as being “like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do”. The duo went to lunch and Lorde reportedly apologized for her public comments about the singer.

Taylor and Emma became friends in 2008, after meeting at the Young Hollywood Awards for Hollywood Life magazine. She described her as “a pretty normal girl”, and Taylor once said that Emma gives the best advice after a breakup. Taylor’s song “When Emma Falls in Love” is reportedly about the Oscar winning actress.

  • Karlie Kloss Is Relaunching LIFE Magazine

Karlie Kloss Is Relaunching LIFE Magazine

    [ad_1]

Entrepreneur and model Karlie Koss, together with her husband, billionaire investor Joshua Kushner, is bringing LIFE back to life, more than two decades after the more than century-old iconic photo magazine ceased regular publication.

Kloss and Kushner’s Bedford Media on Thursday announced a deal to bring LIFE Magazine back to print and digital distribution, as part of an agreement with Dotdash Meredith to relaunch LIFE as a publication on a regular cadence and vibrant media property. IAC formed Dotdash Meredith after the it bought Meredith was acquired by for $2.7 billion coming after Meredith had acquired Time Inc. (the previous owner of LIFE).

The deal for LIFE comes after Bedford Media acquired fashion publication i-D Magazine from the ailing Vice Media Group. Kushner is the founder of venture-capital firm Thrive Capital and younger brother of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former White House adviser.

Terms of the deal between Bedford Media and Dotdash Meredith were not disclosed. Bedford will manage the full operations for the new LIFE Magazine, including editorial strategy, revenue and media initiatives. Dotdash Meredith will continue to own the full rights to the LIFE photography and content archives dating back to the 1930s and will also continue to publish its single-topic special interest magazines for the LIFE brand available on newsstands.

“We see LIFE as an uplifting and unifying voice in a chaotic media landscape,” Kloss, CEO of Bedford Media, said in a statement. “While Bedford is a new media company, we are deeply inspired by LIFE’s iconic legacy and ability to connect diverse audiences with universal narratives of humanity.”

Kushner, who is taking the role of publisher of LIFE Magazine, commented: “LIFE’s legacy lies in its ability to blend culture, current events, and everyday life — highlighting the triumphs, challenges, and unique perspectives that define us.”

LIFE launched in 1883 and published a popular weekly magazine until previous owner Time Inc. shut it down in 1972. LIFE was resurrected in 1978 before Tim Inc. suspended regular publication in 2000.

Bedford Media describes itself as “a media holding company focused on artisanal storytelling, authenticity and shared cultural resonance. Blending iconic brands with new ways of doing business and reaching audiences, the company’s strategy banks away from ubiquity and reach toward quality and depth.”

  • Taylor Swift Slams “Victorian Era” Expectations of Her Love Life in 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Liner Notes

Taylor Swift Slams “Victorian Era” Expectations of Her Love Life in 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Liner Notes

    [ad_1]

In a March 2015 cover story for Vogue, in which she was featured alongside then best friend Karlie Kloss, she said she was “irritated by the whole serial-dater play that people tried to make about me.”

“I just decided I wasn’t willing to provide them that kind of entertainment anymore,” she said. “I wasn’t going to go out on dates and have them be allowed to take pictures and say whatever they wanted about our body language. I wasn’t going to sit next to somebody and flirt with them for five minutes, because I know the next day he’ll be rumored to be my boyfriend. I just kind of took the narrative back. It’s unfortunate I had to do that. And it’s unfortunate that now I have this feeling like if I were to open myself up to love, that would be a career weakness.”

Fast-forward to today, when the list of names Swift has been allegedly linked to includes not only Joe Jonas and John Mayer, but also former “squad” members like Kloss and Dianna Agron.

And, much like it did in 2014, the internet has its own interpretation of Swift’s liner notes. While some see the purported statement and assume it’s about Swift’s sexuality, others have interpreted it as once again rejecting the fascination with her romantic life. Either way, the past nine years have proven that while Swift’s profile has grown, she remains the same artist we’ve come to know. 1989 marked a turning point in her career, her first purely pop album after starting firmly rooted in country music, making some changes in her sound for 2012’s Red, and then exploding in a mainstream pop fireworks show with 1989, reintroducing herself to her audience. Now, by rerecording and releasing 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Swift is underlining that point once again: She’s the same old Taylor, just nine years the wiser.

As she shared in a handwritten message posted to her Instagram at midnight on the album’s release date, “I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly.”

A representative for Taylor Swift did not immediately return a request for comment.

  • Karlie Kloss Watched Taylor Swift Announce 1989 (Taylor’s Version)—From the Nosebleeds

Karlie Kloss Watched Taylor Swift Announce 1989 (Taylor’s Version)—From the Nosebleeds

    [ad_1]

Wednesday night, the much-anticipated announcement of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album rerecord at Taylor Swift’s final North America date (for now) of the Eras Tour was impossible to miss: Even some aircraft passengers were treated to the breaking news announcement, as SoFi Stadium lit up its roof with the album’s title. Sometimes the friendly skies are also incredibly informative, in addition to being genial.

While that (inevitable—honestly even the most amateur numerologist could have spotted the link between that 8/9 concert date and 1989 announcement) news was unmissable, another seismic Swiftian event might have flown under the radar, if not for eagle-eyed fans: Karlie Kloss, a former Swift bestie and #Squad member who was notably not on the “Look What You Made Me Do” T-shirt (a moment so historic that the Library of Congress should have it on file), took in the concert. And friends, she was not in the VIP bunker. Klossy was in the stadium with the normies. The normies! (Those normies include noted Meghan Markle pal and designer Misha Nonoo and fellow model Marianne Fonseca, who joined Kloss in those way-high-up seats.)

We have so many questions: Did Taylor know she was coming? Was Karlie trying to be incognito, or did she have to buy a ticket? Did she buy resale, or did she hit that “best available seat, verified fan” jackpot way back in the day? Is there…bad blood? And how was Adam Sandler, decked out in his pastel Lover best, able to score a spot in what looks to be the VIP zone at the concert? The Sandman!

To put it in terms that Swifties can understand, in this scenario, Adam Sandler is the cheer captain and Karlie Kloss is on the bleachers. It is unclear if what Taylor has been looking for has, in fact, been here the whole time.

Kloss and Swift were spotted together from 2013 to 2019 after first appearing together at Swift’s performance at the 2013 Victoria’s Secret runway show. Swift even gushed about Kloss having a designated bedroom at Swift’s Tribeca apartment. According to Page Six, that room was at the center of the two’s falling out (though both their representatives have denied this), with sources telling the outlet that Swift felt Kloss took advantage of her hospitality. Swift did not attend either of Kloss’s 2018 and 2019 wedding celebrations when she wed Josh Kushner, though she was reportedly invited and at the time Kloss’s representative said Taylor was unable to attend due to prior commitments.

Preorders for Swift’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version) have soared in the hours since the announcement of its October 27 release—exactly nine years after the first version of the album dropped, part of Swift’s mission to rerecord and rerelease her first six albums. Under her previous record deal, Swift did not own the masters to her own songs. All of the “Taylor’s version” rerecorded masters, and the masters for Lover and later albums, are owned by Swift, allowing her not only to profit financially from the songs, but increasing her control over how the new recordings are licensed and used. Previously, a group of investors fronted by exec Scooter Braun purchased the original masters, and they’ve since been sold to a private equity firm. Swift released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) earlier this summer, and after 1989, only Reputation and Taylor Swift (often referred to by fans as Debut) remain in the project.

“Since I was a teenager, I wanted to own my music,” Swift said onstage in LA while announcing the latest rerelease. “The way to do it was to rerecord my albums, and the way that you have embraced…that you have celebrated, that you really decided that it was your fight too, and that you were one hundred percent behind me…I will never stop thanking you for that.” Later in the show, she appeared to get emotional, dabbing her eyes, when her piano-backed performance of “Champagne Problems” garnered an eight-minute-long standing ovation.

Karlie Kloss is now a mom of two! The model welcomed her second child with businessman Joshua Kushner on July 11, Kushner confirmed on July 14. “welcome to 🌎❤️ 7.11.23,” he wrote alongside a glimpse of the baby on Instagram, tagging Kloss in the photo.

Kloss announced her second pregnancy in a particularly dramatic fashion, unveiling her baby bump at the Met Gala on May 1. “I have a little surprise. . . I got a plus one,” she told Emma Chamberlain while on the red carpet. She also shared that walking the carpet while pregnant made her feel “vulnerable,” and added that the event was “the first time I’m also sharing my news.”

Kloss and Kushner tied the knot in 2018, and welcomed their first child, Levi Joseph, on March 11, 2021, an occasion that Kloss commemorated with a sweet post.

In a March interview with POPSUGAR, Kloss opened up about how motherhood has changed her relationship to her body. “Somebody said to me, ‘Your body will be different after having a child.’ But in their experience, they liked their body more,” she said. “And I feel wholeheartedly that way. I have much less judgment and more genuine appreciation for all that my body has done for me. It’s very cliché, but turns out it’s really true.”

The Classic Shoe Trend Every Stylish Celeb Wears at the Airport

    [ad_1]

When it comes to airport style, I am all about outfits that are comfortable without sacrificing style, and the shoes are the key component for accomplishing this. Heels are a hard no in my book, as well as any other shoes that make for a complicated run through the security line. This leaves flat shoes like loafers, ankle boots, sneakers, and my all-time favorite: ballet flats. While ballet flats truly never go out of style, they are currently at the forefront of shoe trends at the moment.

I know I am not alone in this preference as evidenced by the many stylish celebrities that are spotted traveling in the timeless flat shoe style. Besides the ease, they instantly elevate even the most basic of outfits. Just don’t forget to pack a pair of socks in your carry-on to save you from a grimy barefoot walk through security. Ahead, check out 11 inspiring celebrity airport looks with ballet flats. Plus, shop some of the chicest options at the moment.

Ashley Graham, Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and More Are ‘Muses’ in the 2023 Pirelli Calendar

    [ad_1]

Fashion, at its best, is art. This is a belief to which the Pirelli calendar has stayed true for the past 50 years: The famously exclusive and nearly-impossible-to-obtain project — which is produced by the Italian car tire company as a corporate gift for distinguished clients and VIPs — has historically combined the glamor of high fashion with the raciness of nude photography, in an elevated, pin-up poster kind of way. And its big reveal has become a highly-anticipated event in and of itself.

The 2023 Pirelli calendar, lensed by Australian-born photographer Emma Summerton, is titled “Love Letters to the Muse,” and has quite the stacked crew (with set designer Viki Rutsch and costume director Amanda Harlech, who happens to be a former muse to John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld herself) and cast.
