Reality TV thrives on chaos, but every once in a while, a season delivers moments so shocking, emotional, or downright surreal that they instantly become part of pop culture history. This year gave fans no shortage of unforgettable scenes from shocking legal fallout and friendship implosions to viral international meltdowns that broke the internet. Buckle up, because these are the wildest reality TV moments that left viewers stunned, divided, and obsessed.

Karen Huger’s DUI, Absence, and Redemption Arc on RHOP

January began with a jaw-dropping absence that Real Housewives of Potomac fans couldn’t ignore: Karen Huger did not attend the reunion. As details emerged, it became clear this was far more serious. Huger had been convicted on multiple DUI-related charges stemming from a March arrest in Maryland, and explosive body camera footage soon followed. In the footage, she appeared visibly impaired, slurring her words, swaying on her feet, and memorably referring to herself as “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine.”

The fallout was swift and severe. Karen served six months in jail and entered rehab, missing the reunion entirely. Fans officially learned of her absence when the reunion seating chart was released, placing Mia Thornton and Gizelle Bryant closest to Andy Cohen, while the Grand Dame’s seat remained conspicuously empty. The moment marked one of the most dramatic off-screen consequences the franchise has ever faced.

But in true Housewives fashion, redemption was always on the horizon. At BravoCon 2025, Bravo dropped a midseason supertease that confirmed Karen’s return. The footage showed her release from the Montgomery County Detention Center, a tearful reunion with her husband, Ray, and daughter, Rayvin, and a deeply personal sit-down with Andy Cohen at her Potomac home.

“It’s time to talk about my addiction,” says Karen.

Fans are already bracing themselves for what Karen Huger will reveal in the upcoming episode scheduled to premiere in February 2026.

Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton’s Friendship Breakdown on RHOA.

Few things hit harder than watching a decades-long friendship unravel on camera, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 delivered exactly that with Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton. What started as tension simmering beneath the surface exploded during episode 11, when the childhood friends finally confronted their growing rift over lunch.

Shamea expressed feeling dismissed and unsupported, while Porsha questioned whether Shamea was stirring drama to secure her spot as a first-time peach holder.

The tension spilled into the After Show, where Shamea became overwhelmed with emotion and ultimately walked off set in tears. Shamea maintained that she stayed loyal, holding on to the value and history of their longtime friendship, despite friction.

“I never gave them anything. So, the fact that she opened that up for them to judge and evaluate and dictate our friendship and what it was and what it was not—that’s on her,” Shamea explained.

    The reunion only intensified matters.

“There isn’t any communication,” Porsha said, with Shamea adding, “At all.”

Porsha escalated the accusations, alleging intentional sabotage and claiming Shamea of tried to one-up her on the show.

“It was a scheme and a plan,” Porsha claimed.

Just when it seemed beyond repair, Shamea surprised viewers by releasing a YouTube video titled Dear Sweet 16 days before the final reunion episode aired, offering a heartfelt apology to the entire cast.

“My elders and my family never steered me wrong. So I just wanna start by saying to all the ladies on the Sweet 16 cast—starting with Porsha, you know, Drew, Angela, Britt, Kenya, Cynthia, Kelli—I’m sorry. And if I missed anybody, I’m sorry,” she said.

Whether the friendship can recover remains uncertain, but the emotional fallout made for some of the rawest RHOA scenes in years.

Love Is Blind Season 10’s Uncomfortable Confrontation between Kalybriah and Edmond.

Love Is Blind is no stranger to emotional explosions, but Season 10 delivered one of its most unsettling moments with cast members Kalybriah “KB” Haskin and Edmond Harvey. During a group pool party, the couples casually discussed intimacy, when Edmond revealed to the men that Kalybriah wanted to wait until marriage, a decision he didn’t share.

Back at the hotel, the conversation spiraled. Edmond confronted Kalybriah about her sexual history, leading to a deeply emotional breakdown that shocked viewers.

“I’m just always the fu–king nice guy! That’s what f—s me up, I’m too f–king nice,” Edmond sobbed.

The confrontation escalated until Kalybriah walked out of the room. Later, she spoke with People, explaining that she had intentionally entered the experience on a different path.

“I went in [practicing] abstinence for eight months prior to the show.”

Edmond later reflected publicly on his behavior, acknowledging personal growth and accountability.

“This experience changed me in ways I never expected.”

The moment ignited widespread conversation about boundaries, emotional maturity, and vulnerability under reality TV’s microscope.

Angela Oakley vs. Phaedra Parks: Receipts, Rumors, and Chaos.

Season 16 of RHOA also delivered courtroom-level drama in July, when Angela Oakley accused Phaedra Parks of spreading cheating rumors about her husband, Charles Oakley. During part one of the reunion, Angela confidently alleged that Phaedra orchestrated the rumor through a man named Marcus, and she came prepared with a literal file folder of receipts.

“First and foremost, he told me it was Phaedra,” Angela explained.

Andy Cohen, clearly skeptical, responded, “This man who you’ve never met?”

Then, Angela unveiled the treasure trove of receipts she brought with her, pulling documents from a thick folder to show that Marcus’s aunt, Kimberly, was a high school friend of Phaedra’s older brother. Angela insisted this connection explained how they knew each other, but Andy, Phaedra, and the rest of the group remained unconvinced.

Phaedra quickly denied the claims, dismissing the connections as circumstantial.

“That’s just a coincidence,” said Phaedra.

Despite Angela’s insistence that Phaedra was attempting to “secure her spot” on the show, no definitive conclusion was reached, leaving fans debating long after the reunion ended.

Jose Carlos Montoya’s Viral Sprint That Broke the Internet

In February, reality TV went global when La Isla de las Tentaciones—Spain’s version of Temptation Island—delivered one of the most viral moments in reality TV history. During a bonfire scene, contestant José Carlos Montoya was forced to watch live footage of his girlfriend, Anita Williams, cheating on him.

What followed was pure, unfiltered anguish and the viral catch phrase “Montoya, por favor!” Montoya took off running across the beach in a desperate, emotional sprint that racked up over 320 million views across social media platforms. The moment perfectly captured the raw intensity of the series’ premise and cemented Montoya’s breakdown as an instant reality TV classic.

Huda and Nic’s “Mamacita” Love Island moment.

    Love Island USA
also delivered one of its most buzzworthy moments of the year during Season 7.

In Episode 9, Huda Mustafa chose to open up to Nic Vansteenberghe about her daughter, hoping to give Jeremiah Brown someone else to talk to about it. What followed was an innocent, hilarious exchange that quickly took on a life of its own and went viral.

“I have a secret to tell you. All the girls know, Jeremiah knows, but you have to promise me you’re not going to say anything to other guys ’cause it’s not their business,” Huda said. “But, I’m a mommy.”

“Mommy?” Nic asked with a furrowed brow.

    “I’m a mom,” Huda confirmed.

“Mamacita!” Nic said with a smile, still clearly a bit confused.

“No, I’m a mommy,” Huda, once again, confirmed.

“A mom of what? A dog?” Nic asked.

“I have a daughter,” Huda shared, prompting Nic to respond, “Like in real life? Like a daughter, like a real baby?”

“Yeah, like a human child,” Huda laughed.

“Wait, that’s so cute,” Nic then said. “How old is he or she?”

After the Season 7 finale aired on July 13, the Islanders finally got their phones back, and Nic and Huda were completely unaware of just how viral their brief conversation had become. In fact, they barely remembered the moment at all.

“Bro! That’s actually gold,” Huda said during an after-show confessional on TikTok, while watching the clip on her phone. “I love Nic to death. Everyone kept telling me about the mamacita moment, and me and Nic just forgot exactly what happened. And now watching it back, I can understand why people think it’s funny.”

The pair even leaned into the moment during the finale. In their finale looks, Nic and Huda recreated the now-iconic exchange in a playful video shared on Love Island USA’s TikTok, laughing as Nic repeatedly said, “mamacita?”

Nic was equally stunned by how big the moment had become after leaving the villa. “They’re just making songs of mamacita?” he said after getting his phone back. “I love this!”

Reality TV may be messy, dramatic, and emotionally chaotic, but these moments were exactly why fans couldn’t look away from their screens in 2025. What was your favorite reality TV moment of the year? Tell us in the comments section.

  • RHOP’s Ashley Darby Hints She Did More Than Kiss Charrisse’s Son, Reveals When She Last Saw Him, & Clarifies Bravocon Drama With Wendy, Plus She Confirms She’s Back With Josh & Talks Karen Run-In

    [ad_1]

Ashley Darby spoke of her interaction with Charrisse Jackson-Jordan’s 27-year-old son, Jackson Jordan, on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday after confirming they kissed on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.

As she also explained her “apology” to Wendy Osefo, 41, questioned Stacey Rusch‘s story about her status with Thiemo Rusch and her past with Chris Samuels, 48, and revealed she and Josh Gudenburr are back together, Ashley, 37, spoke of her recent run-in with Karen Huger, 62, and offered a suspicious response when asked if she and Jackson shared more than a kiss.

“Maybe,” she coyly replied on the December 21 episode of WWHL.

According to Ashley, she and Jackson hung out “more than one time” and kept in touch after their first encounter.

As for who made the first move, that was Jackson.

“When we touched hands, when I took the key from him, it was electricity, it went through my body,” she gushed. “He’s so young, I didn’t think that I would like a little youngin like that. He is … 10 years younger than me.”

While Jackson asked Ashley to keep their relationship a secret, Ashley suspected Charrisse would find out through her home security device since he had “just moved back” in with her at the time.

“I thought that Charrisse would see on her cam, the security cam, and we’d get busted. That’s what I really thought was gonna happen,” she admitted, adding that Charrisse wasn’t in the house at the time.

Looking back at their run-in at the filmed party on RHOP, Ashley confessed to feeling awkward.

“I don’t usually feel that way, but all things considered,” she shared, giving the moment a 10 out of 10 for awkwardness.

Ashley then said that while they’ve “chatted” since the party on Sunday’s episode, she hadn’t seen Jackson in “a year.”

On the WWHL: After Show, Ashley spoke of Wendy, suggesting that while she seemed to offer an apology to her at BravoCon for shading her fraud arrest, the apology was actually meant for Wendy’s family members.

“My apology that I gave to her was to her children more than anyone else, and I stand by that apology, and Wendy can also go kick rocks,” she declared. “[The apology] is to her family, to her children. They are innocent bystanders in all of this.”

Back on the live show, Ashley had kinder words for Wendy, admitting to feeling bad for her when she watched her fight with her mom.

“That was very hard to watch, especially because I’ve been in a similar situation where I talked to my mom about my dad, and my mom got really sensitive too, but she was very supportive. So that was hard. I felt very bad for Wendy,” she stated.

Moving on to Stacey, Ashley clarified that she was “not concerned about Stacey’s relationship” with Thiemio.

“I am concerned with authenticity and genuineness and the truth. Point blank, period,” she explained.

Ashley also noted that she didn’t have a problem with Stacey’s potential romance with Chris.

“I never said it was a problem, but why deny it?” she wondered. “Here’s the thing: if you’re gonna skirt around the issue, it looks like you have something to hide, so why not just be honest and say, ‘Yeah, we knocked boots,’ and call it a day?”

Regarding her own love life, Ashley said she was “spinning the block” with Josh.

“Josh was in New York with me … Josh and I are dating again .. he’s a good guy,” she noted.

As for her issue with his finances, or lack thereof, Ashley confirmed, “This is still an issue, and the children part of it, too, but I just can’t quit him.”

“He’s a good guy [and] he’s a very good time,” she added.

Then, giving a nod to the time she spent with Karen at BravoCon, Ashley said, “It was very nice to give her a hug. She was running a little late, and I waited as long as I could, and it was a nice embrace.”

Also on the WWHL: After Show, Ashley said she would be touring “soon.”

“My children’s book is coming out first,” she revealed.

  • ‘RHOP’ Star Eddie Osefo Could Lose Law License After Fraud Arrest, Plus What Wendy Said About Karen Huger’s Release From Jail Days Before Being Taken Into Custody

    [ad_1]

    Credit: Instagram

Wendy Osefo‘s husband, Eddie Osefo, is “at risk” of losing his license to practice law.

Less than a week after the Real Housewives of Potomac couple, both 41, was taken into custody on fraud charges, two attorneys, neither of whom is involved in the case against them, have spoken out, revealing that Eddie may not be able to serve as an attorney in D.C. if he is convicted of the charges he’s facing, which include insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud, and making a false statement to a police officer.

“Most States, including D.C., do institute discipline for attorneys convicted of fraud or other crimes of moral turpitude. Typically, they wait until resolution of [the] criminal case but in extreme cases they may ask criminal court to make not practicing law a condition of bond,” Sam Bassett, a Texas criminal defense attorney, explained to Us Weekly on October 13.

“Eddie Osefo is at risk of losing his license. A state bar agency could definitely revoke his law license, especially upon conviction,” he continued. “Generally, a license is always subject to review or revocation upon a felony arrest or conviction.”

John W. Day, also a criminal defense attorney, further confirmed that Eddie, whose license has been active since 2014, was facing disbarment.

“Just being charged with a felony does not automatically mean Eddie Osefo will lose his law license, but if he is convicted of or pleads guilty to a felony — or a ‘serious crime’ which could include a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude — the Washington D.C. disciplinary board can seek to impose discipline on him, which might include disbarment,” he shared.

As RHOP fans have surely heard, Wendy and Eddie’s October 9 arrest stemmed from an alleged robbery at their home in April 2024, which prosecutors believe may have been staged in an effort to collect $450,000 in insurance claims.

In other RHOP news, an October 8 interview with Deadline, shared just one day before her arrest, features Wendy commenting on Karen Huger‘s release from jail and confirming she’s open to Karen’s potential return to the show.

“I have not spoken to her since her release,” Wendy said. “However, I feel like everybody should be given the opportunity to have a platform to tell their own story. There’s no point or purpose in your story being told by others.”

Following Wendy and Eddie’s arrest, the couple’s representative shared a statement.

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues,” the rep said. “The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

  • RHOP’s Wendy Osefo Addresses Fallout With Karen Huger, If They’ve Spoken & Defends Stacey, Plus Suggests Keiarna’s Beef is for the Cameras

    [ad_1]

The Real Housewives of Potomac recently returned for its 10th season on Bravo. Now, Wendy Osefo is opening up about her status with Karen Huger, Stacey Rusch’s dynamic with the ladies, and more in a new interview.

As fans know, season 9 of RHOP ended on a bit of a sour note between Wendy and Karen. This came when the “Grand Dame” sent in a video message for the reunion and essentially ignored Wendy, despite her being one of her most significant supporters in the group.

Wendy recently appeared on the Gabbing with Gib podcast, which is hosted by Gibson Johns and was recorded before her shocking arrest for fraud just days ago. One of the most notable moments came when he asked if she had been in touch with Karen since her release from jail.

Wendy responded, “I have not. No.” He then asked if she sees a path forward with Karen. She stated, “I can always see a path forward, but it’s really something where it’s on her.”

She continued, “You know, she showed me that she really doesn’t value my friendship. She showed me that even though I’ve supported her through her fourth DUI, and I was one of the only people in the group who never said anything ill of her or bad about her, she threw me under the bus and showed that she didn’t want or value me as a person.

She added, “So, I’ll be interested to hear what she has to say because I have not done anything to her.”

Next, the topic of Stacey comes up and how she felt that Ashley Darby and Gizelle Bryant her ganging up on her. When asked if she agrees with Stacey, Wendy said, “Are you kidding? Absolutely yes.”

She went on, “I have been on the receiving end of that a few times, so I do agree with her and that stance that Stacey takes, funny enough, is the stance that I really take as I traverse the season.”

Wendy continued, “You will see the Stacey of it all through season 10.” Still, she says there is nothing wrong with questioning your friends, but it’s the manner in which you do so that matters.

Wendy went on to say that she stands up for Stacey in this way as the season progresses. She added, “I’m not saying Stacey’s right. I’m not saying Stacey’s wrong, but we’re not even able to get to that because of the way in which we’re approaching it.”

Lastly, she spoke about her issue with Keiarna Stewart. Wendy said, “I think it’s a one-sided beef, and it’s really unfortunate because I really liked her.”

Wendy then said, “It took me by surprise because two weeks before we’re filing, we’re laughing, kekeing, having a good time. Cameras come up, and now you have a problem with me. That’s very odd to me.”

She said her beef with K is odd to her because she never said anything to her before the cameras began to roll for the season. Wendy also said she was “thrown off” by the whole thing.

  • Life After Lockup: Here’s What Happened When Karen Huger Made Her Grand Exit From Jail

    [ad_1]

    Source: Charles Sykes/Bravo

Clankity clank! Reality fans are buzzing over the early release of Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger who made her grand exit from jail while #RHOP cameras were reportedly rolling.

ABC 7 was live on the scene s Huger, 62, was released from Maryland’s Montgomery County Detention Center after being sentenced to two years, with one year suspended, for a DUI arrest.

After leaving the detention facility, Karen hopped in a black Escalade and waved to reporters before being whisked away.

This comes after the reality star was sentenced to two years with one year suspended for her FOURTH DUI marking the bitter end to her now-infamous DUI case.

Prior to her sentencing, Huger filed a motion arguing that a harsh punishment would not serve justice, citing her longstanding role as a “community figure” and the emotional toll the case had taken on her family.

But the judge wasn’t buying it, and ruled that Huger has 30 days to appeal.

It’s also safe to say the viral footage of Huger’s embarrassing DIU arrest played a major part in the judge’s decision ahead of Huger being found guilty on all charges except reckless driving, according to PEOPLE.

The footage from the arrest was released after being played for the jury in court, showing Huger being questioned by cops after the car accident. Karen can be seen struggling to get words out as she tries to convince police that she didn’t have much to drink, which they immediately shut down.

At one point, one of the officers can be seen telling Huger she was “hammered,” which she called “bulls***” in the footage.

If that looks bad, things somehow got worse when a detained Karen mumbled about multiple topics before telling police she’s “Thomas Jefferson’s concubine”–no, seriously. Also, WHAT???

Naturally, fans erupted over Karen’s drunken behavior that went from really bad to tragic real quick.

Following the incident back in March, the 61-year-old was charged with a DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, endangering property, life, and person, along with recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.

Do you think Karen learned her lesson this time? Are you excited about Karen’s return in the new season of RHOP? Tell us down below and peep the social media hysteria over Karen’s grand exit from jail on the flip.

  • Gizelle Bryant Shades Stacey Rusch as a “Gnat,” Talks Reconciliation With Wendy & Karen’s DUI, Plus RHOP Season 9, and Teases Love Hotel

Gizelle Bryant Shades Stacey Rusch as a “Gnat,” Talks Reconciliation With Wendy & Karen’s DUI, Plus RHOP Season 9, and Teases Love Hotel

    [ad_1]

Gizelle Bryant addressed the new season of the Real Housewives of Potomac, including where she stands with Karen Huger and Wendy Osefo. She also called newbie Stacey Rusch a “gnat,” and teased her time on Love Hotel.

In the first episodes of season 9, Gizelle questioned Karen about her DUI, though Karen was unwilling to share too much because of the legal situation. Later on, in a strange twist, Gizelle made up with Wendy after a lengthy convo about their beef.

“Potomac is back to what it used to be,” said Gizelle in an interview with Parade, seemingly shading season 8. “Fun, shady drama but not too intense, very funny … you know, all the things that people have just loved us for.”

“Even these relationships, like me and Karen, still seem fresh,” she went on. “Even though we’ve been arguing for a decade, the argument still seems fresh!”

Specifically, Gizelle addressed her talk with Karen about the DUI.

“I handled it like I would with a sister,” she said. “When I heard the news it really shook me. It really scared me. I really felt like, ‘Oh my god, my friend could have potentially died, or she could have hurt someone else and been in humongous trouble.’ I just wanted to have those real conversations with her.”

Gizelle then shared her thoughts on Stacey.

“Throughout the course of the season, you will see Stacey has a lot to say,” said the star. “I truly appreciate her. She’s like the little gnat that won’t go away. I like her, I like her around but then I want her gone.” But Gizelle appreciated how Stacey doesn’t “edit” herself or take herself “too seriously.”

She also spoke to her friendship reconciliation with Wendy – after they hashed out their issues in episode 2.

“The ‘me and Wendy’ of it all was very much convoluted in other people’s issues,” shared Gizelle. “I didn’t want to hash it out … but I’ve suffered loss, I’m at a new stage in my life, especially with my children, and when I look at the group, I don’t want to be stuck in a place because we can’t hash things out.”

“I feel like the stage was set for us to be able to sit down and have a real conversation and see where it went,” she continued. “If the conversation went left, it went left, but at least let’s just sit down and figure it out!”

As for her time on Peacock’s new dating show, Love Hotel, Gizelle claimed she was in a “love bubble of sorts.”

“I learned a lot about myself that I will take with me. I can’t really talk much about it but the ‘mens’ came through!” she said. “I do wish there were more options for me … I felt like some of the men were a little younger and more children. Of course that’s not me. I do wish there were a couple of more just for Gizelle, but you know, Love Hotel 2!”

Gizelle Bryant Talks Friendship With Wendy & Robyn’s Potential Return to RHOP, Plus If She Regrets Kicking Out Costars From Event, Newbies and Says the Finale “Tops All” Real Housewives Finales, & Live Viewing Thread

    [ad_1]

    Credit: Instagram

The Real Housewives of Potomac is back on Bravo for a 9th season. However, the cast has a bit more to poove this time around as many fans were left disappointed by the previous season. Now, Gizelle Bryant is opening up about what fans can expect, the backlash Karen Huger has received for her DUI, the newbies, and much more.

Of course, season 9 of RHOP is a bit different because a few faces are missing. Notably, Robyn Dixon is no longer on the show, following years of some viewers hoping she’d be fired. Candiace Dillard Basset, who trended the night RHOP returned, is also absent. Additionally, Nneka Ihim was fired after only one season.

Recently, Gizelle sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She was first asked about how she approached season 9 of RHOP following a disappointing season 8.

Gizelle says, “I think my approach is always the same. I’m just gon’ do me, be me, and but I was very much aware of trying to get the group together and trying to make sure that the group can work things out.”

She goes on, “The hatitude party, for me, was like I’m going to see where we can go as a group, and we made it through the finish line.”

The topic of Robyn’s absence and how it impacted her this time around also came up. Gizelle responds, “I tried not to think about it, and then I would be in a scene, and I would be like waiting for her to come because Robyn always comes last.”

She then says, “She’s missing, I can say that. She’s like the missing component. And even there were times that Karen would look at me and say, ‘I miss Robyn,’ and I’m like, ‘I know.’ Robyn was always like the stedying, balancing force here.”

Gizelle also said that she talked to Robyn as filming was happening and even vented to her about the drama. She also said she hopes her green-eyed bandit pal makes a return for season 10.

The conversation then goes to fans giving Wendy Osefoheat” when they saw the clip of their sitdown in the trailer. Gizelle says she didn’t know fans were upset.

She explains, “I didn’t know that was happening, so that’s interesting. It was both sides. There’s no second chance, no third chance here like she’s been wrong, I’ve been wrong.”

She continues, “I really just wanted to sit down with her and figure it out, and if after that it didn’t work, it didn’t work, so let’s just figure it out.”

The interviewer then asked Gizelle about the GNA event and if she regrets kicking her castmates out for being late. She says, “Absolutely not. If it was tomorrow, I would do it again.”

Gizelle goes on, “You all RSVPed to my event just like Vivian did. She RSVPed, and she said she was coming, so she came. Also, all of those ladies knew how important this was to me. I can say yes to all of the different little organizations that wanna honor me; I can be honored all day long, every day for the next six months. But, you know, that’s actually not important. They just want you to show up, right?”

She continues, “And everybody knew that’s what was going on with Karen, but ya’ll choose to do that instead of just honoring your commitment to me. So yeah, get out, ladies.”

They also noted in the interview that Karen’s event didn’t have any cameras from productions, which means it was much more of a last-minute decision, while Gizelle’s event had been planned further in advance.

They also talked about the newbies and how they faired this season.

According to Gizelle, “There was some struggling, and I’ll let you guys see that you know, let that play out. Stacey is like a newbie newbie, she was like, kinda like a Katie version. You know, Katie’s very quirky. She’s different. We need somebody different; we don’t just need another Gizelle or another Karen.

Naturally, they discuss Gizelle’s relationship with Karen. Specifically, Gizelle is asked about how Karen is handling her DUI compared to how Shannon Beador discussed hers on RHOC

Gizelle explains, “I don’t think the comparisons to Shannon are fair just because I think Shannon’s case was like open and shut. In Karen’s defense, her case is still ongoing. So, I think she felt like, ‘Hey, I can’t really talk about it if this is going to hurt my case, so I understand that, but you have to say something.”

She continues, “You can’t just let it fly in the atmosphere. You gotta say something.”

Of course, Gizelle recently filmed the dating show Love Hotel for Peacock in Mexico with Shannon. The interviewer asks Gizelle about Joel Kim Booster‘s comments about her co-star.

According to Gizelle, “You know, a lot went down in Mexico, and you guys are absolutely going to eat up and devour that show. Ya’ll are going to love it. There’s that. And Joel was around, and I just, listen, after Joel did what he did, he did text me, and he apologized before he apologized to Shannon via the world, and I told him, ‘why, just why,’ on so many levels. It just wasn’t necessary. What happened?”

She then says, “I think he just lost his mind one night, and, you know, you just can’t do that. You can’t talk about the show, and for the love of God, you can’t talk about people’s children.”

About being an empty nester, Gizelle says, “Truth be told, I spent one of those months in a love bubble in Mexico, so there was that, but here lately, I’m actually kind of enjoying it a little bit. I never thought I would say that. I walk around the house naked; I never go to the grocery store anymore; I hate that place. I wake up whenever I feel like it or not, so empty nesting has been good for me.”

They also discuss the clip posted online of NeNe Leakes telling Karen to beat up Gizelle. Gizelle responds, “It was so weird to me. So crazy. I gotta ask Karen about it. But like it was a little strange, and because I don’t have an issue with NeNe I thought she didn’t have one with me. Very weird.”

In the end, Gizelle teases “a season finale that tops, I can safely say, all season finales for all Real Housewives franchises.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is here, and the cast members are all doing press amid the new season. Of course, they have much to prove, as many fans left season 8 feeling a bit underwhelmed. Now, Wendy Osefo is opening up about what viewers can expect, her friendship with Gizelle Bryant, and how the cast shakeup makes the show work.

Fans will recall that there are a few people missing from the show for season 9. Robyn Dixon announced that she was fired and Candiace Dillard-Bassett let fans know she wouldn’t be returning before the reunion even aired. Additionally, Nneka Ihim won’t be here this season following her first year on the show.

Recently, Wendy sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Naturally, the RHOP star had quite a bit to say. She first talked about the changing dynamics and how it made her feel when they started filming.

According to Wendy, “Stepping into this season, I was like ‘Woah. what is this going to look like?’ After the first two cast interactions, I was like, ‘I know what this is gonna look like.’”

She goes on, “It was different. It was like new energy. It was different personalities that I had not even encountered in my own personal life. I was intrigued. I was left with questions, but overall, it was fun. I had fun this season.”

Wendy then talks about keeping in touch with Candiace. She says, “It’s interesting. She reached out to me recently, and she asked for recommendations for breast pumps because when I was on the show, one thing she always said was that my breast pump was so loud and it would lull her to sleep.”

They then talk about fans being confused by her friendship with Gizelle based on what they saw in the trailer. However, Wendy explains, “That’s not where it started and I’m really excited for viewers to see the journey and to see the progression, and to see who extended the olive branch. It’s gonna throw you for a little loop.”

The interviewer also asked Wendy what she had to say to people who believed she had always wanted Gizelle’s approval.

“I don’t have a message to them because that means they wanted to think that anyway. If you can watch this season with that evidence laid out in front of you to see that that’s not what actually happened, then I think that you just want the situation to be a certain type of way.”

Wendy also discusses resigning from teaching for the time being. When asked how the transition has been, she says, “It’s interesting because I did[have FOMO], and it was particularly for the institution I was working at. I have been there for so long. I know their policies and procedures; they just became natural to me.”

She continues, “But I wanted to challenge myself. I gave myself the summer off. I haven’t had a summer off from teaching in years, and it felt so good just to travel and be with my family. So, even though it was a hard decision, I enjoyed it.”

The topic of Wendy going to the White House also comes up. She says of the experience, “We went all the way to 1600 Pensavalaina Ave, baby. What a moment for me, what a moment for my show and what really stuck out to me was that the conversation was initiated by the White House. To me, that was a testament to me often feeling in my career that I’m not where I want to be or I haven’t done anything.”

They also talked about the cast changes and how she feels about Keiarna Stewart being promoted to a housewife. She says, “I am so happy for her. She is deserving of it and I’m so excited for you guys to get to know her more. Get to see more of her personal life, her business, and her entrepreneurial spirit. I just think she’s such a great addition.”

Of course, they also discussed Karen Huger‘s car wreck and DUI, as it will be a focal point of the season. According to Wendy, “It is a very tough walk, and I believe you have to navigate it the way you know how to best. So, I think some viewers may like the way she responded to it, but, you know, everyone has their own opinions. Others may be like they don’t like it, but it’s Karen’s story, and it’s Karen’s story to tell.”

Ashley Darby also comes up as the RHOP season 9 trailer shows her and Wendy getting into it. Regarding Ashley, Wendy says, “She is the same messy Ashley, okay. So, it is what it is. Nothing has changed with that one.”

Wendy describes season 9 of the show by saying, “Refresh. It’s let’s give this a go again, but with a clean slate. That’s what I would tell viewers. I would tell viewers to come back, watch season 9, do it with a fresh pair of eyes with all of the ladies and you will love it.

As Karen did in a previous interview, Wendy also says fans need to “brace themselves” for a massive blowout that was not in the trailer.

Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is mere days away, and fans can’t wait to see the ladies back on Bravo. Of course, the new season arrives as Candiace Dillard Basset and Robyn Dixon are both absent. Now, Karen Huger is opening up about the season, what fans can expect, and her DUI.

Fans will recall that Karen was charged with a DUI in March of this year. However, based on the trailer for the upcoming season, it seems she has support from some of her cast mates.

Recently, the “Grand Dame” was on the red carpet and spoke to Extra TV about the upcoming season of RHOP. Regarding the “vibe” of the season, Karen says, “I think it is lighter, to be honest with you. I do miss Candiace and Robyn, you know, those are my girls.”

She and the interviewer then joke that she actually misses throwing shade at Robyn instead of missing her.

Karen goes on, “I’m sure Robyn misses me if she were honest about it. We had great banter in that way, so I do miss that. And Candiace, motherhood looks good on her. I can’t wait for the baby.”

She continues, “So yeah, we’re just evolving and the new girls, they’re special. No, they are fantastic, actually. I do like what they’re bringing. It is fresh. It is new, and I think the viewers are going to be entertained.”

The interviewer goes on to ask Karen about her relationship with Gizelle Bryant this season. He also asked if she is still critiquing her fashions.

She says, “I’m not critiquing her fashions this season to be honest with you. We’re in a better place so I think the viewers will enjoy that. I don’t know how long it’s gonna last that depends on Gizelle because I’m not the messy one, but we are the best frenemies in the franchise. All of the franchises, I would say. And we do know when to lift each other up and support each other. So, that’s a beautiful thing.”

They then talk about the ladies “coming for her.” In particular, the interviewer asked if Ashley Darby was coming after her. She explains, “Ashley and I do dance a minute, but I wouldn’t say so because Ashley and I have a really good relationship. What I think makes us real is that we do have those banters, and then we move on and hug.”

Karen goes on, “I would say we do have one dilapidated pole humper that’s coming after me, and, you know, I don’t know why, but I will handle that, too.”

Of course, it seems she’s talking about Mia Thornton. She continues, “I’ll move on, absolutely. I mean, that’s what it’s about. I introduced her, and I don’t take any responsibility for it.”

The topic of her car accident and DUI then comes up.

According to Karen, “I don’t have a drinking problem, let’s be very clear, but all of us have accidents. So, it’s still being adjudicated, and I can’t talk about it, but I’ll say this: the girls are human, and what makes me the Grand Dame is that I’m able to see who they are in that moment. Everybody likes a little shine from the Dame, so I gave it to them.”

They then discuss her marriage and how it plays out this season. Karen explains, “Ray is fantastic. He’s a handful. We are very real this season. So, everyone’s rooting for the institution, and it makes it, but not without reality. I think that’s one of the reasons I have been successful in reality TV. I don’t change my life for the show. I signed up for reality, so I give it to you.”

  • RHOP Reunion Recap: Mia Accuses Gordon of Emptying Her Account & Being Controlling, Robyn Cries Over Candiace’s Colorist Comments & Wendy Holds a Grudge Against Gizelle, Plus Chris Shuts Down Pregnancy Allegation

RHOP Reunion Recap: Mia Accuses Gordon of Emptying Her Account & Being Controlling, Robyn Cries Over Candiace’s Colorist Comments & Wendy Holds a Grudge Against Gizelle, Plus Chris Shuts Down Pregnancy Allegation

    [ad_1]

On this reunion episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac, a paternity rumor is discussed until Karen puts an end to it out of respect for Mia‘s son. It seems like Candiace is done with the reconciliation conversations when it comes to Gizelle and Robyn, and when the husbands take to the set, it is noticed rather quickly that Juan has declined his invite. But it’s Gordon who leaves us hanging at the end, hinting at some juicy unknown information…

It’s interesting that Mia’s man, Inc, believes that Jeremiah is his son. Yes, the timeline of their affair could put Inc as the father, but Mia explains that she did IUI, so she KNOWS where the baby came from. Mia thinks that maybe Inc just wants Jeremiah to be his kid, and Karen jumps in to ask to move on out of respect for Jeremiah, who will eventually hear about this.

Mia asks Karen when she heard she was with (not a) rapper since Karen was the one who first brought Mia’s love life up. Gordon’s speech at the season finale did not seem as though they were divorcing, and this makes the others in the group raise their eyebrows. Funny how Robyn gets a ton of sh*t for not sharing what she is going through with Juan, yet here’s Mia just going through the motions… allowing Gordon to make a lovely speech about her.

Gizelle wonders if Gordon is mad about finances since perhaps Inc makes more money than him, but Mia explains that Inc has nothing to do with the separation. Mia states that this breakup has been coming based on Gordon’s anger and rash moves like emptying her bank account, forcing control over her. We learn that Gordon is in therapy now and is still not working, therefore Mia is helping him financially. Andy brings up the inheritance comment Mia made. Mia explains that she lost three grandparents and had some money. Mia states that she wished she knew Gordon was in such trouble financially when they got married because he certainly should not have been living that unsustainable lifestyle.

Mia cannot get a divorce until June of this year because they are up for sale in their businesses, and it is pointed out that Wendy and Candiace did not reach out to Mia as the news about her marriage broke. Wendy claims that when Gordon reached out to Eddie and Chris, he was there to “annihilate” Mia. Wendy promises that she has never once said what Gordon has said about Mia, and despite not being her best friend, she loves and respects her enough to stay out of it. Candiace admits that she could have reached out to see how Mia was doing, but she just didn’t want to get involved.

Mia lets us know that she has a penthouse apartment in Washington, D.C., and Gordon is currently living in Charlotte, but he will eventually move across the street from her. It seems like this can one day be a blended family.

After a break, Hotel Gizelle is the next storyline in the spotlight. Gizelle first clears up that she didn’t know Wendy’s mother was in the hospital when she called her evil, but Wendy doesn’t want to hear it. Gizelle’s dad was a great guy, and we got to know him on the show before his passing. Gizelle shares that only her dad supported her to go onto the show and that he always wanted to have a celebration of life when he died (only Robyn was in attendance). Thankfully, Gizelle was there when he took his last breath, and she thanks those who rallied around her.

Candiace breaks down with her cry-angle after hearing Gizelle talk about the loss of her father. She admits that she “feels for” Gizelle, and it proves that Candiace does have some emotion toward Gizelle. Speaking of emotion, Gizelle’s girls are doing great, especially Grace in college. Regarding being afraid for Grace going to school in Florida, Karen states that she is not responsible for Wendy and Candiace’s faces during that discussion. Candiace regrets that Gizelle would weaponize her kids against her, as she has done this before, and Wendy claims that she congratulated Gizelle about Grace going there, but Gizelle repeats over and over that it never happened.

When it comes to Jason, Gizelle is still having fun with him, even after Jason was seen kissing a mystery blonde. Apparently, their “relationship” is not that deep, as Jason and Gizelle can see whoever, so long as it’s not rubbed in each other’s faces, so to speak. Mia sort of outs Gizelle about a new man in her life who might be an athlete, but because the reunion is in NYC, Gizelle will be visiting Jason later.

There’s a lot to discuss with Candiace. She got a second opinion for the lump in her breast, and it turns out that it had shrunk so much that she didn’t have to do anything. The nine-city tour was incredible, and we find out that the reason Candiace didn’t want Drew Sidora opening for her is because of some bad blood.

Michael’s lawsuit against Candiace for defamation was dropped, and Ashley continues to claim that she did not know anything about this case, nor did she stand to get any financial gain from it. Candiace gets called out for internet behavior, and Robyn feels like Candiace’s tweets and articles were hypocritical. Candiace jumps in and clarifies the timeline. Those tweets were right after last year’s reunion. Candiace talks about the two messages Robyn ignored from her, so when the stuff came out about Robyn and the pay wall, Candiace snapped. She apologizes for hurting Robyn, and Robyn talks about how uncomfortable the colorism conversation was for her. Robyn states that she didn’t know how to navigate it since she never experienced that in her life. Robyn becomes so upset that she was accused of being a colorist, and then all of the stuff with Juan came out and everyone talked about that.

Candiace explains that talking about race and color is commonplace for HER, and she assumed that all of the women thought that way also. A clip was played showing that Candiace said, “I don’t believe any of my castmates are colorists,” and Wendy wonders when the conversation would shift and why they believe the phenomena exists. Karen says there’s no better group of Black women to represent, but Wendy wants to talk about the range. Nneka is out of the loop and tries to get filled in, but Andy interjects, understanding that there is nowhere this friendship can go.

During a break, Nneka talks about trying to be really good about staying quiet on social media, so she is looking forward to having her time on the reunion. The husbands enter, minus Juan, and Iyke is decked to the nines. Happy Eddie explains that his business is going well, and we learn what Mia meant when she said she was the “other girl” on guys’ trips. She explains that she has seen the girlfriend side of things, and the wife side of things…

Chris wasn’t around a lot this season (by design), and Candiace explains that it’s because he’s uncomfortable around the group of women. Chris is tired of talking about it, and since the reunion, he is over it. The rumors have been reckless and wild, especially from a woman who claimed to have had an affair with Chris, said she had an abortion, and then said she made the whole thing up. Kind of fishy, and it leaves you wondering if Candiace paid the lady off due to the quick retraction. Robyn asks if this strange woman whom Chris swears he has never met photoshopped screenshots, and Candiace says that she is so distrusting of the group and wouldn’t put it past Gizelle for making this whole thing up. Chris shuts Gizelle down, and jaws drop on the couches.

Juan’s absence speaks volumes, but the husbands make no comment when asked how they feel about it. Andy wonders why it’s important they come to support their wives, and Gordon states that he was coming to support his wife (well, soon-to-be-ex-wife). Gordon says he looks forward to addressing his relationship, and then goes on to say, “I wanna share something with you that some of you may have suspected, but many of you probably don’t know…” *to be continued*

Mia Thornton is seen discussing her son Jeremiah’s paternity in the just-released trailer for the upcoming Real Housewives of Potomac reunion.

As a number of her castmates go head-to-head, including Nneka Ihim, 36, and Wendy Osefo, 39, and Candiace Dillard-Bassett, 37, and Gizelle Bryant, 53, Mia admitted that her current boyfriend, Incognito, whom she dated prior to her marriage to Gordon Thorton, 71, suspected the child was his as Gordon arrived on set and Ashley Darby, 35, admitted to massaging her former spouse’s feet on a nightly basis.

“Andy, I believe in these women and I expect nothing less tonight,” Karen Huger, 60, declares as the trailer begins.

And before things get serious, Mia clarifies her new boyfriend isn’t a DJ but a “radio personality,” and Ashley admits she “still [loves]” Michael Darby, 64.

“I still massage this man’s feet every night …. I massage Michael’s feet every night,” she shares.

Andy Cohen, 55, then offers his condolences to Gizelle, whose father recently passed.

“I was there with him when he took his last breath,” she reveals through tears.

The cameras then turn to Nneka, who tells Wendy, “You iced me out of this group.”

“I told you what I told you in our language,” Wendy replies, in the Nigerian Igbo language, proceeding to ask, in English, “You understand what I’m saying?”

During another moment, Gordon prepares to reveal something that makes Mia tear up.

“I want to share something with you that some of you may have suspected,” he begins.

“Oh, Mia, I’m sorry,” someone says in response.

Another shocking moment comes when Robyn Dixon, 44, suggests racy pics of Chris Bassett have surfaced online.

“So the screenshots of your husband’s limp penis are photoshopped?” she asks Candiace.

Next, Wendy approaches Ashley, telling her castmate, “If you knew how taboo it is, you would not say anything else.”

    “And I have,” Ashley replies.

As for Mia’s comments about her son, she admitted that Incognito remains suspicious after Andy brings up a rumor stated by Gordon.

“Gordon alleged that Jeremiah may not be his son. Does Inc think Jeremiah is his son?” Andy wonders.

    “He does,” Mia confirms.

Later, after Candiace tells someone they’re a “loser,” Gizelle mocks her online attacks.

“Gizelle is an empath, Gizelle’s the devil, Gizelle is evil,” she states.

    “All true,” Candiace notes.

As the sneak peek concludes, Andy tells Candiace and Gizelle, “I think the two of you need Jesus himself.”

“I have him. He is right here,” Candiace fires back.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season eight reunion begins airing on Sunday, March 31, at 8/7c on Bravo.

Gizelle Bryant appeared on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live, where she reacted to Jason Cameron being spotted with another woman and offered an update on their current status.

While also discussing what she claims is Candiace Dillard-Bassett‘s obsession with her, the cast’s rude reaction to her discussion about her daughter’s college, and Mia Thornton‘s suggestion that she has an inheritance, the Real Housewives of Potomac cast member, 53, spoke of her drama with Karen Huger, 60, and reacted to the alleged brief breakup of Larsa Pippen, 49, and Marcus Jordan, 33.

“Jason, because it’s a situationship, Jason is free to situation,” Gizelle shared on the February 25 episode of WWHL after being asked about Jason’s recent outing with the other woman.

After then confirming that she is also allowed to see other people, Gizelle revealed Jason was actually with her in the Bravo Clubhouse for the taping.

“[He] is here. He’s in my dressing room,” she stated.

Looking back at her decision to crown Nneka Ihim as the “grand dame,” which prompted Candiace, 37, to label her “Satan,” Gizelle admitted she “absolutely” did so solely to get under Karen’s skin before labeling Candiace “obsessed.”

“I kind of feel like she’s obsessed with me. She’s on Twitter week after week after week after week talking about me. It’s really weird,” Gizelle explained. “I think she was mad that the crowning had nothing to do with her. I think she wanted to be a part of it.”

When Gizelle was then asked why didn’t she confront Candiace and Wendy Osefo, 39, for making faces when she was talking about her daughter going to college in Florida, Gizelle said she was “trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.”

“I was like, ’There’s no way y’all can be this nasty when I’m talking about my daughter.’ So I was really just trying to ignore it,” she reasoned.

As for whether anyone spoke to Gordon Thornton about Mia, 39, saying she has an inheritance and that Gordon didn’t have a lot of money when they met at a strip club, Gizelle teased that the topic will be addressed at the upcoming reunion.

“I do not believe Mia but I think that’s what the reunion is for because Gordon will be there. I’ll be asking,” she assured.

After then noting that Nneka and Wendy’s ongoing issues were “very sad,” Gizelle was asked if Karen overreacted to her room situation in the Dominican Republic.

“They charged Karen’s card. They did. And she was pissed,” she revealed. “But then she said ’Send me my money back.’”

Also on the episode, Gizelle shared her thoughts on Larsa’s supposed split from Marcus, which lasted for just a few days.

“Well, you know, [Alexia Echevarria] and [Marysol Patton] said it was all fake. They said it was a fake breakup. It’s kind of believable,” Gizelle admitted.

Karen Huger is speaking out against Robyn Dixon amid the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Potomac.

While also poking fun at Mia Thornton, 38, stating that she doesn’t take her co-star seriously, and confirming she’ll hold both Mia and Robyn, 44, accountable, especially after Robyn hid her marriage troubles with Juan Dixon, 45, from the cameras during season seven, Karen, 60, shared how she felt going into season eight.

“I am feeling so excited. I’m in a great place and turning triple 20 has a lot to do with it because I really want to see my friends come together,” Karen revealed during an October 30 interview with PRIDE. “I put a lot of effort in, checking in on everybody, even if it’s not the best place for me to go into, I go in anyway but I enjoy seeing us and I believe in us and I want us to have a great time.”

“I just tortured the girls with laughter and fun this season no matter what they threw… because it’s so important that we come together and have a great time together and whenever I was in the room, I did my part to make those iconic moments happen. My foot was on the throttle. It was good,” she added.

As an original member of the cast, Karen noted that she is “the mature one” and “in a position that’s enviable.” Still, she made it clear that it’s no easy feat being the Grande Dame.

“That’s why I’m thinking about opening a school. But I already have a baby Grande Dame. Just stay tuned,” she teased. “I will hold the school for anyone else that wants to be the Grande Dame when I decide to applicate, which will be never.”

One of the newer cast members of the show, Mia, who joined in 2021 for season six, has been making headlines in recent weeks after suddenly leaving her husband, Gordon Thornton, amid his financial troubles. And, just as many were surprised by their separation, Karen confirmed she’s still “learning with [the audience] about Mia.”

“Mia’s the kind of girl you hate to love. She’s fun. She’s a sweetheart. But she doesn’t remember what she says from one minute to the other so I gotta just wait and see what she does and then I’ll hold her accountable,” Karen reasoned. “You gotta stay tuned. We have those moments and it’s great TV and it’s fun.”

“I can’t take her seriously, though,” she noted.

In addition to holding Mia accountable for what comes out of her mouth, Karen said she’s doing the same with Robyn, who failed to address Juan’s extracurricular activities during season seven.

“Robyn likes to hear herself talk and she’s making no sense but do I support Juan and Robyn’s marriage? Absolutely. Just own it,” Karen stated. “Just be honest and don’t be mad with me if I don’t believe your version of the truth … And let me say this: For the record, Robyn’s cool, except in that one area.”

According to Karen, she believes there was “a lot of projection” going on amid season seven as Robyn quietly dealt with Juan.

“The viewers are smart and they’ll support Robyn and love Robyn for her dedication to her family — that I really respect. However, when it comes to the girl’s group, your truth is your truth. Own it,” she encouraged. “I’ll go to another wedding, a renewal of a second wedding. I’ll do that but I just need it to be truthful and don’t be calling my name on Andy Cohen’s show.”

As RHOP fans may recall, Robyn appeared on Watch What Happens Live in February, where she suggested Karen had kept aspects of her personal life off the show, as well.

“What? I got my own 27-year-old marriage I have to work on but Robyn is fun to be with,” Karen explained. “Outside of that, I’m cool with Robyn.”

“I’m cool with everybody,” she added.
