MSNBC’s Joy Reid Claims Biden Recovering From Covid Would Be ‘Same Thing’ As Trump Surviving Assassin’s Bullet

MSNBC personality Joy Reid went on a rant that can only objectively be defined as unhinged, accusing Donald Trump of using the survival of the assassination attempt on his life as a photo op.

Unhinged might be a generous description.

Reid took news of President Biden testing positive for COVID to suggest that his recovery would be equally impressive to Trump getting back up after being shot.

“Should he (Biden) be fine in a couple of days, doesn’t that convey exactly the same thing?” she asked a panel including former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

There are two ways to answer that: 1) “No.” And 2) “No, what drug are you on?”

    Instead, Psaki agreed.

Joy Reid Suggests Trump Stood Up To Get ‘Photo Op’ After Being Shot

We’ve grown rather accustomed to Joy Reid’s inane and unintelligent commentary, but this one made us do a double-take. It is off-the-charts idiotic.

Look at how she phrases her analysis. She suggests Trump and Biden are equally elderly, claims Trump rising after having his head nearly blown off was a photo op, and proposes that Biden napping for three days to overcome COVID is just as admirable.

You can’t make this stuff up. I’m going to go through each statement one by one.

“These two men are both elderly,” Reid said. “Donald Trump is an elderly man who for whatever reason was given nine seconds to take an iconic photo-op during an active shooter situation.”

No. Just, no. Bless your little heart, Joy. Equating the two age-wise just a couple of weeks removed from a debate that clearly showed Trump is physically and cognitively light years ahead of Biden just doesn’t fly.

“But his survival of that and bouncing right back and going right to his convention is being conveyed in the media world as a sign of strength,” she added.

It’s not a media thing. Reality and a functioning set of eyes will tell you that Trump handled himself with strength and courage with his response to the assassination attempt.

“This current president of the United States is 81 years old and has Covid. Should he be fine in a couple of days, doesn’t that convey exactly the same thing?” Reid continued. “That he is strong enough, older than Trump, to have gotten something that really used to be fatal to people his age?”

These claims are super-weird when you recall that Joy Reid mocked Trump when he recovered from COVID as “trying to look like a tough guy”. And that was after she accused him of faking COVID to get out of a debate with Biden.

“So if he (Biden) does fine out of it and comes back and is able to do rallies isn’t that exactly the same?” Reid asked.

    “It should!” Psaki agreed.

See above – No. Or no, and what drug are you on?

MSNBC Was Worried About ‘Inappropriate’ Takes

Remember, this is the same network that in the immediate aftermath of the assassination attempt pulled their flagship morning show because they were worried one of the guests might say something stupid.

And here you have Joy Reid clearly saying something stupid and Psaki nodding like a bobblehead in agreement. The network brass might want to pull them from coverage of the RNC altogether.

Granted, that iconic, historical photo of a defiant Trump pumping his fist and urging the crowd to “fight”, blood dripping down his face is really, really good. It’s already broken a lot of people on the left.

A photo editor at a major news outlet recently told Axios that the image should be banned. The unnamed journo said “it’s dangerous for media organizations to keep sharing that photo despite how good it is.”

Yea, it is pretty good. Legendary even.

Imagine what kind of mind suggests that the former President decided to take a photo op after coming within an inch of having his head blown off on national television.

  • MSNBC’s Joy Reid Says There’s Something ‘Wonderfully Poetic’ About DEI Officials Prosecuting Trump

MSNBC’s Joy Reid Says There’s Something ‘Wonderfully Poetic’ About DEI Officials Prosecuting Trump

    [ad_1]

    Screenshot: The Blaze

MSNBC host Joy Reid could hardly contain her excitement over the fact that several “DEI officials” are behind the prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

The acronym DEI stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Critics of such policies suggest it is outright racism, using skin color or other demographics in hiring practices. In other words, affirmative action. Something the Supreme Court recently ended for college admissions.

Reid, in a segment with fellow host Lawrence O’Donnell, says black attorneys going after Trump is “wonderfully poetic.”

“But for me, there is something wonderfully poetic about the fact … the first person to actually criminally prosecute Donald Trump is a black Harvard grad,” Reid beams.

She then falsely suggests former Trump officials “never” want to see black people “at Harvard Law School.”

Joy Reid Cheers To MSNBC Panel – ‘Go My DEIs’

MSNBC host Joy Reid then pivoted to the alleged election interference charges in Georgia, as well as the widely panned civil fraud lawsuit in New York.

“And a black woman is doing that same exact thing in Georgia, and a black woman forced you to pay a $175 million fine,” Reid adds.

She is referring to District Attorney Fani Willis in Georgia and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“Donald Trump is being held to account by the very multicultural, multiracial democracy that he’s trying to dismantle … It says something good about our country that we’re still capable of having that happen,” she says.

Reid then cheerleads: “Go, DEI. My DEIs are bringing it home.”

Reid – Republicans Are Anti-DEI Because They Can’t Stand Black People

In a career mired in mediocrity and the absurd, Joy Reid’s comments about DEI are pretty impressive.

But it’s also pretty revealing on a few counts:

    • She’s admitting the prosecutions are more about revenge for perceived racism than they are about the law.
    • It’s proof that DEI hiring is fraught with pitfalls since each of these people she is celebrating has been widely ridiculed by legal experts as either overreaching or generally incompetent at their jobs.
    • With so many prominent black officials it’s almost as if there’s no ‘systemic racism’ to be upset about.

Reid recently accused Republicans of opposing racist DEI hiring practices because they “can’t stand black people.”

“At this point, it’s evident what they mean by DEI, right? It means black people. It’s the reason the right complained about Critical Race Theory. It’s not fashionable to be openly racist anymore in America unlike what they call the good old days,” she ranted.

“So just say what you mean,” Reid added. “You can’t stand black people. We get it. You’ve been heard.”

Reid has been under fire previously for bigoted, homophobic blog posts, which she claims were posted by hackers. She was not held accountable by MSNBC.

Megyn Kelly Annihilates Biden – ‘Trump Will Win The Election’

    [ad_1]

    Opinion

Source YouTube: Megyn Kelly, Fox News

The former Fox News host Megyn Kelly spoke out against President Joe Biden on Monday night, saying that recent polling numbers that show him training Donald Trump by 35 points are “devastating” for him.

Kelly Sounds Off On Trump And Biden

“If nothing changes, Trump will win the election,” Kelly said as she talked to The Fifth Column co-host Kmele Foster and International Women’s Forum Senior Policy Analyst Inez Stepman.

Kelly went on to call out both Biden and Donald Trump for not passing immigration reform, slamming what she feels is the false notion of the migrants being portrayed as “asylum seekers,” saying most of their claims are “bulls***.’

“It’s all bulls*** because most of the asylum seekers are not seeking asylum. It’s a lie!” Kelly said. “They could have sought asylum in Mexico. They went right through Mexico because they want to be here.”

“They don’t want to actually assimilate, a lot of them, but they want their government check,” she continued. “They want a driver’s license. They want to do all the things that American citizens do without doing any of the things that people who immigrated here legally and jumped through all the hoops had to do.”

    Kelly Doubles Down

Kelly went on to say that despite that, “there could be more funding for asylum claims to be processed” and Biden and Trump “didn’t do it” even though they each had both houses of Congress for the first two years of their presidencies.

“Those people should be processed, and we should figure out who genuinely needs our help and shares our value,” Kelly added. “But we don’t do any of that. And now they want to give Mayorkas a magic wand to say ‘I deem ye asylum seekers. Welcome to America!’ That’s not how it works.”

Not stopping there, Kelly proceeded to rip into Trump’s main rival for the Republican presidential nomination Nikki Haley for her appearance on “Saturday Night Live!” over the weekend.

“I’ve got serious questions about whether this is a good idea,” Kelly exclaimed. “What’s next? ‘The Daily Show?’ How about Scarborough? Tiptoe through those tulips. Rachel Maddow? Joy Reid? Why doesn’t she go on her show? I don’t get it.”

“I like the Vivek Ramaswamy philosophy of like going everywhere and trying to get as many votes as you can get. I’m just not sure SNL is one of the venues where there’s any potential votes available,” she continued.

    Kelly Calls Out The Obamas

Back in September, Kelly questioned if Barack and Michelle Obama are the people really running Biden’s government.

“There are a lot of people who think the Obamas are already running the government and that there is some sort of shadow puppet situation going on that they’re controlling,” she declared, according to The Daily Beast. “There’s been questions from the beginning—is it Joe Biden really making the calls?”

“I think Michelle Obama is seen as a savior figure by the Democrats who think she’s the most beautiful person ever,” she added. “They think she’s the strongest leader. They think she’s their big hope.”

Joy Reid Caught On Hot Mic Cursing Biden: ‘Starting Another F*cking War’

    [ad_1]

    Opinion

    Screenshot/X video

MSNBC’s Joy Reid dropped an f-bomb on Monday. The host said it on a hot mic that she likely thought wasn’t hot.

While that in itself isn’t newsworthy, the reason for the expletive could show cracks starting to form on the left between sane people and the trigger-happy President, Joe Biden.

    ‘Another F***ing War’

On her show The ReidOut, the host was whining about Republican opposition to President Joe Biden’s immigration “deal” that would include billions for foreign countries.

Clearly, that’s not all that was on Reid’s mind.

“Case in point– fixing what they say is a crisis at the border with congressional negotiators continuing work on a bipartisan deal to tie border policy changes to funding for Ukraine,” the host said, also saying that these were talks that Donald Trump is trying to sabotage.

“Over the weekend, President Biden said he’s ready to take action if Congress is serious about solving the border issue.”

Reid’s show aired clips of Biden’s speech on Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina.

But during the video snippets, Reid spoke, apparently unaware her mic was still on:

Biden: If that bill were the law today, I’d shut down the border now and I’d fix it quickly… And Congress needs to get it done.

    Reid: Starting another f*ckin’ war.

When she was back on air, she first addressed Biden’s comments and the immigration debate.

“Still trying to kill the deal,” Reid said, referencing Trump. “He bragged about blocking progress and said, ‘Please, please, blame him if it fails.’”

But eventually, understanding what she thought she said off the air was heard, she addressed her remarks and apologized to viewers.

“Before we go, I just want to apologize very quickly,” Reid said. “I was chatting during a clip that was playing, and you know, we try to keep this show very PG-13, so I just want to apologize to anyone who was listening to my ‘behind the scenes’ chatter. I deeply, deeply apologize for that.”

Likely, her “another fuckin’ war” comments was citing the increasing tensions in the Middle East, particularly regarding Israel and Gaza. Related, three U.S. soldiers were killed in Jordan on Sunday by what the Pentagon said were Iranian proxies.

Biden has promised action in retaliation.

Ex-Bush Strategist Predicts Exactly When Donald Trump Will Be Convicted

    [ad_1]

Matthew Dowd, a Republican strategist for George W. Bush’s 2004 presidential campaign, on Tuesday predicted when former President Donald Trump will be convicted.

Dowd, talking to MSNBC’s Joy Reid, said he envisioned Trump ― who faces 91 charges across four criminal cases ― winning the GOP primaries in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina “and he’ll basically all but be the nominee.”

That is when, Dowd suggested, Republican 2024 front-runner Trump will be convicted — just before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in July 2024.

“So he’ll be the nominee, but be a convicted nominee in the midst of this, and then we’ll be headed to a general election with the nominee of a major political party convicted, at least in one court, if not in two different courts, in this time,” Dowd explained.

“A convicted felon running for president under the Republican Party,” added Dowd. “We have never in my life have ever seen a calendar that will unfold in that manner. But it also is going to be so weird while this is going on, Republican voters voting for him to be the nominee of the party as he’s convicted.”

  • Joy Reid Rips Anderson Cooper Over Going To Bat For CNN’s Trump Town Hall

Joy Reid Rips Anderson Cooper Over Going To Bat For CNN’s Trump Town Hall

    [ad_1]

MSNBC host Joy Reid panned CNN’s Anderson Cooper for his “straw man argument” in defense of his network hosting a town hall event with former President Donald Trump. (You can watch her remarks below)

Reid likened the event to a “MAGA version of the ‘Jerry Springer’ show’” as CNN takes heat for Trump’s remarks including a “nasty person” jab at moderator Kaitlan Collins and his “whack job” comment aimed at E. Jean Carroll, who won a lawsuit against Trump after a jury found him liable for sexual abuse on Tuesday.

“We begin with the continued cleanup on aisle five at CNN,” said Reid.

The host, on Friday, looked at comments from CNN’s Chairman and CEO Chris Licht where he reportedly went to bat for the town hall. Licht, according to a Puck News report, “summoned” CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy to a meeting after he argued in a newsletter that it was difficult to see how Americans were served by Trump’s lies.

Reid then analyzed comments from Cooper, who she said was “scolding his own viewers” on Thursday. Critics slammed Cooper over his defense of the network as he argued that the town hall audience – who laughed and applauded Trump – is a “sampling of about half the country.”

“Now that is what you call a straw man argument,” Reid said of the CNN anchor’s remarks.

“Especially [when] the only two options available to you are listening to a former president mock a woman a jury found that he sexually abused while the audience laughs and applauds or pretending 74 million Americans who voted for Trump don’t exist.”

Reid added that voters didn’t need a “Trump pep rally” to understand who he is.

“He literally posts his garbage views on his fake Twitter every day and every media outlet reports on it,” Reid said.

“We get it, a lot of people like it and vote for it. But we don’t need CNN or John Malone or Elon Musk or Anderson Cooper to lecture us about how we should be forced to endure it, or that we should just get used to it. Because some of us actually know that that stuff is wrong.”
