The Masked Singer‘s Gargoyle has finally been unmasked – and fans were shocked to see who it was!

The mysterious Gargoyle ended up in the sing-off against fellow contestant Sloth tonight but failed to impress the judges and was sent home.

The audience and panel were left gasping as an 80s icon stepped out from beneath the mask.

It turns out Marcella Detroit from Shakespeares Sister was hiding under that towering costume all along.

Speaking to host Joel Domett, Marcella said of her time on the show: “It was hot. And it was very difficult to walk!”

Here’s a full rundown of tonight’s masked madness and all the details on this week’s guest judge.

The Masked Singer: Tonight’s Spooktacular Line-Up

Tonight’s episode was a full-blown Spooktacular Special – not exactly seasonal, but definitely entertaining.

Judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross embraced the spooky theme with gusto.

Host Joel stole some of the limelight himself, dressing as a spot-on Wednesday Addams.

Jonathan got creative as a futuristic Frankenstein, while Maya dazzled in a sheer black dress with dramatic shoulder straps and Davina spun a creepy spiderweb look.

Guest judge, This Morning, Ben Shephard was almost unrecognisable, perfectly nailing the brief as a chilling scarecrow.

It’s safe to say the hair, make-up and costume teams were working overtime.

This week saw the return of Can of Worms, Sloth and Gargoyle.

Red Panda also made his debut, after originally being cut from Week 1 for performing “Disco Inferno,” a song considered sensitive following the tragic ski resort fire in Crans-Montana.

Gargoyle Revealed: Marcella Detroit Steps Out

After audience votes, Gargoyle landed in the bottom two alongside Sloth.

Both performed again, but the judges chose to save Sloth, sending Gargoyle packing.

Marcella was revealed after chants of “take it off, take it off,” leaving the judges visibly stunned.

Joel admitted he was a huge fan, while Jonathan asked Marcella to close the show with Shakespeares Sister’s iconic hit “Stay,” which she did with no complaints.

Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, with reactions ranging from surprise to admiration.

One wrote, “Omg I would never have guessed Marcella Detroit!”

Another celebrated, “YES I CALLED IT!!!”

While a third commented, “Marcella Detroit is 73! My god she looks good!”

Not everyone was impressed though, with one viewer harshly adding, “Maybe this Marcella lady could sing at one point, but she definitely can’t now.”

    Other Celebrities Unmasked This Series

Marcella joins five other celebrities unmasked this year.

First to go was Disc Jockey, revealed as The One Show’s Alex Jones. Rapper Professor Green came next as Teabag.

Last week, Yak was unmasked as John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols.

The show has also seen Anne-Marie perform as Goldfish from the band No Trout and comedian Matt Lucas appear as Emperor Penguin from the Antarctic Funkeys.

The Masked Singer hit with another double elimination as ’80s icon Tiffany is unveiled as Eiffel Tower

    [ad_1]

The Masked Singer was hit with another double elimination tonight (February 10) as Air Fryer and Eiffel Tower were voted out before the final.

For the first unmasking, Air Fryer was revealed to be The Greatest Showman star Keala Settle. The British singer has also starred in many musicals including Sister Act, & Juliet, and Waitress.

For the second unmasking of the evening, iconic ’80s singer Tiffany was unveiled as Eiffel Tower. The chart-topping star rose to fame after her debut single I Think We’re Alone Know became a global smash.

    Masked Singer: Air Fryer revealed

While making it to the semi-finals, the panel failed to guess Air Fryer’s identity. For their final guesses, they went with the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Ella Henderson, Whoopi Goldberg, and Rebel Wilson.

When Air Fryer revealed themselves as Keala, the panel was left stunned.

“Not even close,” Davina McCall admitted while the audience laughed.

She added: “You’ve done such a good job disguising your voice.”

While referencing her costume, Jonathan Ross asked if Keala owned an air fryer at home, to which she responded: “I do have an air fryer and I absolutely love it!”

Talking about her time on the show, Keala said it was a “massive learning experience” and a “game changer.”

“I’m pleased and privileged to be able to do it.”

    Eiffel Tower revealed

Like Air Fryer, Eiffel Tower was a killer vocalist with pipes. For the panel’s final guesses, they said Lindsay Lohan, Lisa Stansfield, Debbie Gibson, Vanessa Paradis, and Tracey Chapman.

Even though he mentioned her name earlier in the episode, Jonathan Ross was kicking himself for sticking with Debbie Gibson.

“I was so close,” he said. “That is mega!” a stunned Davina added. “I should have got it” Jonathan added.

“Tiffany, you have the most incredible voice! It’s so cool that you’re on the show,” an excited Rita Ora stated.

“It’s been a pleasure to be here,” Tiffany told the panel, adding, “I have had a blast, it’s been so great.”

While performing her hit I Think We’re Alone Now to close the show, the American star received a standing ovation.

Next Saturday (February 17), the final three, Cricket, Piranha, and Big Foot, will perform for the last time and one of them will be crowned a winner.

  • Lily Allen Calls Out Russell Brand, Noel Fielding, & Jonathan Ross For ‘Horrendous’ 2007 Rape Joke – Perez Hilton

Lily Allen Calls Out Russell Brand, Noel Fielding, & Jonathan Ross For ‘Horrendous’ 2007 Rape Joke – Perez Hilton

    [ad_1]

Lily Allen is reflecting on an awful rape joke made about her years ago.

In a new interview with Grazia published on Monday, the 38-year-old singer opened up about her experience in the spotlight during the “toxic media landscape” that was the early aughts. She specifically recalled one disgusting moment — which went viral amid the sexual assault allegations against 48-year-old comedian Russell Brand — when she appeared on The Big Fat Quiz of the Year in 2007 with him, Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding, and Jonathan Ross.

At the beginning of the episode, Jonathan switched seats with Lily, calling her “the only sexually attractive young lady” on the show. His reasoning? The Jonathan Ross Show host explained he was only trying to protect her by moving her away from Russell and Noel to the “sexless zone,” adding:

“And then Lily may go home with her dress still on.”

WTF?! To which Noel immediately responded:

“How dare you – we’re not rapists.”

Jimmy then questioned why The Great British Bake Off host was wearing a cape “if [he] wasn’t a rapist.” Noel fired back that the cape was actually nothing more than a Jack the Ripper cape — you know, the London serial killer who ended the lives of multiple women in the late 1800s. That is when Russell chimed in to point out that the person was a “serial murderer,” adding:

“There’s a difference. There is no direct corollary between rapes and capes, it’s just a rhyme. Leave him alone.”

All on camera, the entire back-and-forth was a gross moment of these men joking about rape with Lily at the center. Take a look (below):

Not OK at all. But as we’ve learned over the past few weeks in light of the assault accusations, things have resurfaced about Russell’s long, long history of problematic and vile behavior. Now reflecting on the exchange with Grazia, Lily said the whole experience on the show was both “uncomfortable” and “horrendous.” She said:

“[There was a clip] where I was on a chat show with Russell Brand and Noel Fielding and Jonathan Ross. And there are comments, I think, about me being raped or something. And I laugh along with it. In retrospect, that’s really horrendous. It makes me uncomfortable, but I don’t think I felt that at the time, because it was the culture.”

Neither Russell, Jimmy, Noel, or Jonathan have addressed the call out from Lily. What are your thoughts on the resurfaced moment, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
