  • VIRAL VIDEO: Seahawks GM John Schneider Breaks the Internet For Hilarious (Yet Disgusting) Reason

    [ad_1]

Sometimes football games produce unforgettable highlights on the field… and sometimes the viral moment comes straight from the press box.

During tonight’s NFC West “Championship” showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, Seahawks GM John Schneider was caught on camera celebrating as his team held a 13–3 lead late in the fourth quarter. The problem, or comedy gold, depending on how you look at it, was that Schneider also revealed one of the sweatiest armpits you will ever see in professional sports history.

We’re talking full-on, dark-blotched, “did someone dump a water bottle on him?” level sweat. The man wasn’t just fired upm he was liquid enthusiasm.

As Schneider went in for a celebratory high-five, viewers immediately forgot the scoreboard and locked in on the shocking underarm situation. Social media did what social media does best: froze the frame, zoomed in, and unleashed the memes.

Whether it was nerves, adrenaline, or just an aggressive stadium thermostat… the internet now has questions, and jokes, that will live forever.

Either way, Seahawks fans are probably just happy the only thing leaking tonight… is victory sweat. 💦😂

Check out the video and see it for yourself — if you can handle it!

  • Blue Jays manager sends message to team after devastating World Series loss

    [ad_1]

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider reacted to his team’s performance after their crushing loss in Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Blue Jays forced the reigning World Series champions into a Game 7 matchup and had them on the back foot for a majority of the ballgame, however a go-ahead Will Smith home run in the top of the 11th inning gave the Dodgers their first lead of the game and ultimately proved to make the difference in the contest.

More news: Dodgers Star Retires After World Series Win Over Blue Jays

“It’s hard, you know. Had my first team meeting of the year after the game. There’s so many things to unpack there, not just the series as a whole — seven games, two of them go to extras. I thought we played great baseball,” Schneider said.

“I feel for the guys. This is a special group of guys. That being said, I am so proud of them — of the entire organization, really, that’s kind of where I’m at. We’ve set a new expectation and a new standard here, and did it with a lot of hard work, did it with a lot of cohesiveness. And man, it’s tough to say bye to this group.”

Schneider revealed what he told his team in their meeting after the loss.

“I said thank you,” Schneider said. “I said thank you probably about 10 times. And that was the main message. I’m sure I’m gonna talk to them all again, but I said thank you, I said I’m sorry that we’re feeling this way right now, it definitely could have been the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of emotions. I said thank you, and this is a group that I’m never gonna forget. They’re gonna have a place in my heart, every single one of them. So that was the gist of it.”

Moer news: Blue Jays’ Ernie Clement Makes Postseason History in World Series Game 7

The Blue Jays put together a fantastic season, finishing the regular season with the best record in the American League and making it to their first World Series since 1993. They have a lot of great things to reflect on during the offseason, and will look to claim the championship which evaded them in 2025 next year.

  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s 2-run HR off Shohei Ohtani helps Blue Jays even World Series at 2-2 against Dodgers

    [ad_1]

(CNN) — The Toronto Blue Jays bounced back from a tough Game 3 loss to even the World Series at two games apiece following a 6-2 Game 4 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.

Down 1-0 in the third inning at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. drilled a go-ahead two-run home run off Dodgers two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani to give the road team a 2-1 lead. It was Guerrero Jr.’s seventh homer this postseason.

“I get that it’s easy to write Ohtani versus Guerrero. To us, it’s Toronto versus Los Angeles. But that swing was huge,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters after the game. “After last night and kind of all the recognition that went into Shohei individually and he’s on the mound today, it’s a huge swing from Vlad. It’s a huge swing to get us going.”

Guerrero Jr. said he never lost faith in the Blue Jays despite the Game 3 defeat.

“Yesterday was a tough (loss) but we flushed it right away, to us it’s one game at a time, one pitch at a time and thank God we come in with a ‘W’ today,” Guerrero Jr. said after the game on the FOX broadcast. “I believe in this team and this team is something special.”

Fresh off a historic Game 3 performance, Ohtani made his first career World Series start on the mound. In six-plus innings, the Japanese pitcher gave up four runs on six hits while striking out six batters and walking one.

Ohtani was lifted in the seventh inning. Toronto would score four runs in the inning as Ohtani took the loss.

Ohtani had reached base safely a World Series-record 11 consecutive times after walking in the first inning, but Blue Jays pitcher Shane Bieber struck him out in the third inning, ending the impressive streak. Ohtani went hitless in three at-bats and struck out twice.

Bieber picked up the victory for Toronto after tossing five-and-a-third innings and giving up just one run on four hits.

After what he described as “the biggest start of my career,” Bieber spoke to broadcaster FOX about the Blue Jays’ fortitude.

“We have so many guys that are capable of impacting the game in a positive way, and since I got traded over here, that’s exactly who we’ve been,” the mid-season acquisition said.

“It’s just a pleasure to be a part of this group.”

Toronto third baseman Ernie Clement, who was 2-for-4 in Game 4 and is riding a 10-game postseason hitting streak, echoed his teammate’s sentiments.

“That’s what we do – we bounce back,” Clement told FOX. “We got a resilient group, and it’s a testament to the character in our clubhouse.”

The winner of Game 4 of the Fall Classic has won the title 72% of the time.

Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday at Dodger Stadium in a rematch between Game 1 starters Trey Yesavage for Toronto and Blake Snell for Los Angeles.

  • Blue Jays manager to Shohei Ohtani: We want our hat back — and your dog’s jacket

    [ad_1]

TORONTO (AP) — While most of baseball is saying hats off to Shohei Ohtani, Toronto manager John Schneider wants a cap back from the two-way star.

Before signing a $700 million, 10-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the two-way star met with Blue Jays officials on Dec. 4, 2023, at the team’s spring training complex in Dunedin, Florida.

Ohtani will be the opening batter of the World Series, leading off for the defending champion Dodgers against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Friday night after his unprecedented performance in the NL Championship Series.

“I hope he brought his hat, the Blue Jay hat that he took from us in our meeting. I hope he brought it back, finally,” Schneider said Thursday.

“And the jacket for Decoy,” he added, a reference to Ohtani’s dog, a Nederlanse kooikerhondje. “It’s like, give us our stuff back already.”

Ohtani smiled when asked about the headgear.

“It’s in my garage,” he said through a translator.

Ohtani helped lead the Dodgers to last year’s title, hitting .310 with 54 homers, 130 RBIs and 59 stolen bases.

Back to pitching in a limited role this season as he returned from elbow surgery, he batted .282 with 55 homers, 102 RBIs and 20 steals while going 1-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 14 starts, striking out 62 in 47 innings.

Last Friday, he homered three times while pitching six shutout innings and striking 10 against Milwaukee as the Dodgers completed a four-game sweep of the NL Championship Series.

Absent Ohtani, the Blue Jays had the finances to give first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. a $500 million, 14-year contract that starts next year, and he helped Toronto reach the World Series for the first time since 1993.

“He’s a great player,” Schneider said. “But that aside, I think that we have a great team and just an unbelievable cast of characters and players. I think things worked out the way they’re meant to work out.”

Schneider isn’t sure how close the Blue Jays came to signing Ohtani.

“When we met with him, you felt good about it, and you felt good about the feedback he was giving about our organization and opportunity here,” he said. “But you never really know what a player’s feeling in free agency, and there’s a lot of things that have to line up for them personally, too, so you can’t really think about what if. You think about the 26 (players) that we have.”

    Ohtani praised the Blue Jays.

“It’s an unfortunate reality as a free agent that you get to really pick one team,” he said. “The decision had to be made, but again, this organization has been superb. They have a lot of awesome people.”

‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star John Schneider calls for Joe Biden to be ‘publicly hung’ – National | Globalnews.ca

    [ad_1]

Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider said U.S. President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden ought to be “publicly hung” over accusations of “treason.”

The since-deleted comment came early Thursday morning from Schneider’s account on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The 63-year-old actor, best known for playing Bo Duke on the popular ’80s TV series The Dukes of Hazzard, wrote about the executions in response to a post from Biden about former president Donald Trump.

“Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world,” Biden, 81, wrote. “But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything.”

In response, Schneider had strong words.

“Mr President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is..?” he wrote.

The actor signed the post, “Sincerely, John Schneider.”

Schneider’s post quickly drew attention from folks on all sides of the political spectrum, with many wondering if the response could potentially have legal consequences.

As news of Schneider’s post began to pick up steam online, the Smallville actor denied ever making a threat against the president’s life.

In a statement to Deadline, Schneider said he never threatened Biden.

“I neither said nor implied any such thing,” the statement reads. “Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.

“It’s my position, which I am entitled to have, that some of our nations [sic] leaders in Washington have lost their way, and corruption runs rampant, both on our nation’s borders and abroad,” Schneider continued. “Transparency and accountability must happen in order for our constitutional republic to survive. There is no threat implied or otherwise in that statement.”

Regardless of his insistence that he did not make a threat against Biden, the U.S. Secret Service may have felt otherwise. According to Deadline, the agency has initiated a probe, which is in the preliminary stage.

Neither the White House nor the Secret Service has commented publicly on Schneider or his post, nor has there been further information released about a probe.

In the U.S., it is illegal to make a “credible” threat against the nation’s leader. Threatening the life of a president can result in up to five years in jail and a US$250,000 (C$331,650) fine.

Schneider starred in The Dukes of Hazzard from 1979 to 1985. This week he placed as a runner-up on the popular TV show The Masked Singer, where he appeared as a giant sprinkle donut.

The former “Dukes Of Hazzard” star John Schneider, who has long been one of the only openly conservative Christian stars in Hollywood, called for President Joe Biden to be executed in a social media post that was put up in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Schneider Tweets Biden Should Be ‘Publicly Hung’

Hours after being revealed as the Donut and getting second place on “The Masked Singer,” Schneider, 63, took to social media to blast Biden in a post that has since been deleted.

“Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider,” the actor wrote, according to Yahoo News.

Schneider wrote this in response to a post Biden had written about the former President Donald Trump.

“Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world,” Biden wrote. “But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything.”

Schneider Denies Calling For Biden’s Execution

When contacted for comment by The New York Post, Schneider denied calling for Biden’s execution.

“Seriously, folks? This is my final comment on this. I neither said nor implied any such thing,” Schneider said.

“Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past,” he added. “I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.”

Calls For Secret Service To Take Action

Daily Mail reported that liberals have responded by calling on the Secret Service and federal government to take action against Schneider.

“John Schneider deleted his tweet saying President Biden should be hanged. But the internet is forever and wouldn’t it be a shame if ‘Bo Duke’ receives a visit from some federal agents,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “s John Schneider going to get the same treatment that Kathy Griffin received from the Secret Service? She posed for a picture, and he made an actual threat against the president and his son.”

This was a reference to the comedian Kathy Griffin, who has long claimed that she was investigated by the Secret Service after posing with the simulated severed head of Donald Trump for a photoshoot back in 2017. She alleges that she was placed under federal investigation, put on a no-fly list, and “interrogated under oath” after this, although there has never been any tangible proof released to the public to back up these claims.

Schneider has long been one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood. Back in 2018, he said that it was time for “for Hollywood stars to come out of the Republican closet.”

“I do think there’s a bias against conservatives, Republicans, in Hollywood, but I think if you let that alter how you are, then I question how you are,” he said at the time.

Schneider doubled down on this in 2021, expressing his belief that he’s been blacklisted by Hollywood for his conservative views.

“You don’t really lose a role. You’re just not looked at,” he explained to Fox Business. “You’re not considered for something”

Schneider Finishes Runner-Up On ‘The Masked Singer’

Hours before his post about Biden, Schneider was overjoyed to finish as runner-up to the R&B singer NE-YO on “The Masked Singer,” explaining that competing on the show has helped him deal with his grief over losing his wife Alicia Allain to breast cancer earlier this year.

“It really helped me get through the worst year of my life,” Schneider told People Magazine afterwards. “So I’m delighted to have done it. I’m honored to have done it. I’m so impressed with the way they do this show. I’ve sung on stage a lot. I’ve done Broadway and concerts.”

“I mean, for crying out loud, I’ve done it for 40 years but I’ve never, never experienced a group of people who do what they do with such excellence,” he continued. “From beginning to end, it was the greatest experience I’ve had doing music on television.”

While calling for the execution of a sitting president isn’t something that we would support, celebrities have gotten away with saying far worse things about Trump over the years. After the difficult year that Schneider has had, we can only hope that people cut him some slack on this one and allow him to continue his grieving process in peace.

The former “Dukes Of Hazzard” star John Schneider finished in second place to the R&B singer NE-YO on the season finale of “The Masked Singer” on Wednesday night. Afterwards, Schneider praised the show for helping him through the “worst year” of his life after he lost his wife Alicia Allain to breast cancer back in February when she was only 53 years-old.

Schneider Loved His Time On ‘The Masked Singer’

“What an amazing opportunity to be able to honor Alicia, to be able to honor people who are grieving, maybe educate people who are grieving a little bit, in front of millions of people,” Schneider, 63, told People Magazine. “I’m a pretty strong guy but I’m also a very emotional guy.”

“Being out there on that stage dressed like a donut, singing some of the greatest songs ever written and having people respond to the songs and the performance with no notion that it was me, really, really helped John Schneider.” he continued. “It really helped me get through the worst year of my life. So I’m delighted to have done it.”

Schneider went on to explain that Allain had always wanted him to compete on “The Masked Singer.”

“She would always say, ‘You’ve got to do The Masked Singer,’” he recalled. “I fully expected one day for Alicia to be there to help … so when that opportunity came, I just had to kind of look toward heaven and kind of laugh because, of course, she still runs things but further away.”

Schneider is happy that him being open about his grief while competing on “The Masked Singer” helped others who are currently in a similar situation.

“It was a great opportunity to be able to to entertain, yes, and to have fun, yes, but also to grieve and let people know that it’s okay,” he explained. “Grieving is something you’ve got to do. And I liked that the the Donut grieving actually is helping people who are on the same road. It’s not a job I ever wanted. It’s nothing I ever really wanted to understand. But it is the hand that I’ve been dealt. And I’m doing to make the very best of it, in honor of my beautiful wife.”

“It really helped me get through the worst year of my life,” Schneider said. “So I’m delighted to have done it. I’m honored to have done it. I’m so impressed with the way they do this show. I’ve sung on stage a lot. I’ve done Broadway and concerts.”

  • ‘The Masked Singer’ Finale Reveals Identities of Cow, Donut, Gazelle and Sea Queen: Here’s Who Won Season 10

‘The Masked Singer’ Finale Reveals Identities of Cow, Donut, Gazelle and Sea Queen: Here’s Who Won Season 10

    [ad_1]

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the two-hour Season 10 Finale of “The Masked Singer,” which aired Dec. 20 on Fox.

Because of you, Ne-Yo just had the time of his life on Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” The artist won the Season 10 finale of the hit series on Wednesday night, becoming the last celebrity to be unmasked this season. Ne-Yo won by performing “Rhythm Nation,” by Janet Jackson; “Take a Bow,” by Rihanna, before being revealed as Cow.

“Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider was the season’s runner-up, having performed as Donut. In third place was “Pretty Little Liars” star (and one-time Moanalua High student) Janel Parrish, revealed to be Gazelle. And in fourth, also unmasked on Wednesday night, was Grammy winner Macy Gray, as Sea Queen.

“I’ve been very blessed to have a lot of success in my career. And trust me, I’m grateful. But even though I’ve won Grammys, I’ve never had the moment televised,” Ne-Yo/Cow said in his pre-taped “The Masked Singer” package. “Never gotten to give my acceptance speech. And most importantly, have never gotten the chance to give credit to the person who made it all possible: My mother. I’ve helped so many other artists achieve their dreams and make their big moments possible. But sometimes I feel like I haven’t truly had my moment. To be recognized not only as an artist, but as a creator. But here, I’ve certainly felt that shine… I’m hoping that when I win the Golden Masked Trophy, I can finally read that acceptance speech after all of these years.”

Schneider elicited plenty of emotion from the show’s panelists — particularly Ken Jeong — for talking openly about the death of his wife earlier this year, and how “The Masked Singer” has been a part of his healing process.

“This has been a really good experience, being here, because most people don’t know that I love to sing,” Schneider-as-Donut said. “My wife would say, ‘I don’t understand. You have done 18, 19 albums. Have five No. 1 songs. Ten or 15 top ten songs. There was a lot of stuff, but nobody knows that you sing. So, a couple of years ago she said, ‘Hey baby, we’re going to get you on The Masked Singer. So, people can finally see what you can do.’ This is really a dream come true for me, because I can honor her through doing it. Every performance has been a love letter to her. And I know she’s been on that stage with me, every step of the way.”

Among the panelists, Ne-Yo as Cow was figured out by Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger. Ken Jeong said it was Usher, while Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg went with Billy Porter.

For Donut, McCarthy Wahlberg figured out it was John Schneider. Scherzinger thought it was Engelbert Humperdinck, while Thicke named Tom Jones, with Jeong agreeing.

With Gazelle, no one guessed Parrish. Thicke and McCarthy Wahlberg named Ashley Tisdale. Jeong thought it was Constance Wu. Scherzinger picked Gina Rodriguez.

As for Sea Queen, it was a bit too obvious perhaps – which is why all four panelists collectively agreed. Scherzinger got this one right first in naming Macy Gray, and Thicke, McCarthy Wahlberg and Jeong all went with the ditto.

The singer voted off first with the evening’s least number of votes was Macy Gray as Sea Queen. Janel Parrish was the next to go as Gazelle, leaving John Schneider as Donut and Ne-Yo as Cow to each sing one more song to determine the winner.

Ne-Yo as Cow, John Schneider as Donut, Macy Gray as Sea Queen and Janel Parrish as Gazelle join John Oates as Anteater, Keysia Cole as Candelabra, Sebastian Bach as Tiki, Ginuwine as Husky, Ashley Parker Angel as S’more, Metta World Peace as Cuddle Monster, Luann de Lesseps as Hibiscus, Tyler Posey as Hawk, Billie Jean King as Royal Hen, Michael Rapaport as Pickle, Tom Sandoval as Diver, Anthony Anderson as Rubber Ducky and one-time special guest Demi Lovato as Anonymouse, as the Season 10 unmasked celebrities so far.

“The Masked Singer” finale opened with the four final contestants singing “What I Like About You,” by the Romantics.

“The Masked Singer” featured a new format this season, with three groups followed by Battle Royale semi-final episodes. The season also includes the return of Wild Card contestants, with one Wild Card introduced to each group, and the “Ding Dong Keep It On Bell” was back in the Battle Royale semi-final episodes, where the judges chose Gazelle from elimination.

With sixteen total celebrity singers, Season 10 featured new costumes including “Donut,” “Anteater,” “Hawk,” “Hibiscus,” “Diver,” “Gazelle,” “Royal Hen,” “Husky,” “Tiki,” “Pickle,” “Rubber Ducky,” “Candelabra,” “Cow,” “Sea Queen,” “Anonymouse” and a life-size “S’More.” Also returning to mark the show’s 10th were celebrities who have been previously unmasked since the show began. According to the show, Season 10 contestants “boast a combined 40 medals, 33 Grammy nominations, seven hall of fame awards, three lifetime achievement awards and over 50 tattoos.”

The season’s themed episodes included a tribute to Elton John; a “Trolls Night” tied to the November release of DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls Band Together”; a “Harry Potter Night” airing the week of Halloween; “NFL Night”; “One Hit Wonders”; “Disco”; “2000s Night”; “I Wanna Rock”; and “Soundtrack of My Life.” Back for Season 10 are host Nick Cannon, alongside panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke.

Here were the final performances on this week’s episode:

Cow, “The Masked Singer”) (Michael Becker / Fox)
    Pete Dadds

    WINNER: Cow (Ne-Yo)

Song: “Rhythm Nation,” by Janet Jackson; “Take a Bow,” by Rihanna

Panel guesses: Ne-Yo, Leslie Odom Jr., Taye Diggs, Usher, Billy Porter

Clue: “I was a fan of this show before I got here. I always wanted to do the show. And so, this is already a dream come true. I’m having a ball.”

Package voiceover: “I originally chose to become the Cow because I thought it would be a super fun way to get my friends on the panel off my scent. But, even though I’m used to wearing different hats, being here has challenged me in a whole new way. I’ve had to re-learn how to express myself entirely. From the way I move to the way I dance. When you get to my level of success and fame, there are certain expectations and pressures to perform the same old way. So, it’s been a blast, getting to take on this whole new persona. The Cow, in a way, has also become a tribute to my mother, who showed me it’s OK to be strong and sensitive. So tonight, I’m channeling that same fierceness into this finale. So I can win this thing. For her and all the strong women who made me who I am today.”

Previous songs: “Bones,” by Imagine Dragons; “Treasure,” by Bruno Mars; “Cry Me A River,” by Justin Timberlake; “Ring My Bell,” by Anita Ward

Previous panel guesses: Shawn Stockman, Usher, Leslie Odom, Jr., Trey Songs, Ne-Yo, Mario, Nelly, Jason Derulo, Taye Diggs

Donut, “The Masked Singer” (Michael Becker / Fox)

    RUNNER-UP: Donut (John Schneider)

Song: “You Are So Beautiful,” by Joe Cocker; “Drift Away,” by Dobie Gray

Panel guesses: Engelbert Humperdink, Tom Jones, John Schneider

Clue: “It was actually my beautiful wife who first said she wanted me to be on this show. So being able to check this off of her bucket list has given me great joy.”

Package voiceover: “I came into this competition at the lowest point in my life. But I tell you, as soon as I saw that Donut mask, his smile made me happy in a way I had not felt in a long time. I knew right then and there that become the donut is what I needed to heal from my wife’s passing. I know that she’s getting a big kick out of me in this donut costume. Because every Saturday morning, I would make the coffee and my wife would go out and get donuts – an apple fritter especially for me. In fact, her nickname for me was ‘Fritter.’ I still miss her than I can possibly say. But putting this costume on every night has helped me remember all the beautiful memories we had together. And tonight, under this mask, I’m finally smiling again, just like she always was.”

Previous songs: “Hooked on a Feeling,” by Blue Suede; “I Do (Cherish You),” by 98 Degrees; “Georgia on My Mind” by Ray Charles

Previous clue: Hair and seasoning. “I’m well-seasoned, and I have been enjoyed by several generations.”

Previous panel guesses: Sylvester Stallone, Jeff Bridges, Tom Jones, Stanley Tucci, Liam Neeson, Engelbert Humperdinck, John Schneider

Gazelle, “The Masked Singer” (Michael Becker / Fox)
    Pete Dadds

    THIRD PLACE: Gazelle (Janel Parrish)

Song: “Chasing Cars,” by Snow Patrol

Panel guesses: Camila Mendes, Leighton Meester, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Auli’I Cravalho, Gina Rodriguez, Constance Wu

Clue: “Being the Gazelle has helped me find my voice and my confidence in singing again. Now, I don’t want to ever stop.”

Package voiceover: “I would be surprised if anyone in ‘Masked Singer’ history was more suited to their costume than I am to the Gazelle. I’ve mentioned in the past that deer are meaningful to me because of the loved one that I lost. What I haven’t say is that I actually have a deer tattoo for that person, with flowers growing out of the antlers. So, when I saw the sketch that looked so much like my tattoo, I broke down shaking and sobbing. It just felt like fate. Now, having gotten to be in the Gazelle mask for a while, I can definitely say that she feels like this alter ego of me that I have been craving. When I put her on, all of my insecurities and fears are gone. I was given a second chance to keep this mask on, and I’m not going to waste it. Becoming the Gazelle has really allowed me to tap into my inner goddess. The power that she has given me is a feeling I’ll never forget.”

Previous song: “Uninvited,” by Alanis Morrisette; “The One That Got Away,” by Katy Perry; “Lucky,” by Britney Spears; “On the Radio,” by Donna Summer

Previous panel guesses: Camila Mendes, Lucy Hale, Vanessa Hudgens, Leighton Meester, Constance Wu, Auli’i Cravalho, Mandy Moore, Hillary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Maggie Q

Sea Queen, “The Masked Singer” (Michael Becker / Fox)
    Pete Dadds

FOURTH PLACE: Sea Queen (Macy Gray)

Song: “Rescue Me,” by Fontella Bass

Panel guesses: Jenifer Lewis, Niecy Nash, Macy Gray, Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu

Clue: “It’s been amazing. I’ve been learning so much. It’s so challenging, I feel like I’m a better entertainer now because of this show.”

Package voiceover: “Becoming the Sea Queen has been a real experience. I love my regal, commanding presence, but I’m gonna be honest with you. Wearing this costume hasn’t been all smooth sailing. I’m a seasoned performer but used to being myself on stage. Having to learn new songs and choreography all while wearing a giant mask has really stretched me as an entertainer. It is hot in there. It is so claustrophobic. And this while experience has made me feel nervous again in a way I haven’t in a long time. But I fought my way through it, and I’m still here. As the first Wild Card to make it to the finale in Masked Singer history, yes, I am looking forward to taking this mask off. But only after I win the crown for this Sea Queen.

Previous songs: “Love Potion No. 9,” by The Searchers; “To Be With You,” by Mr. Big

Previous panel guesses: Erykah Badu, Queen Latifah, Jenifer Lewis, Niecy Nash, Macy Gray, Viola Davis

“The Masked Singer” is produced by Fox Alternative Entertainment, with James Breen (who is also showrunner), Craig Plestis and Cannon as executive producers.

The former “Dukes Of Hazzard” star John Schneider is preparing to celebrate his first Christmas since the death of his beloved wife Alicia Allain, who died back in February at the age of 53 after a battle with breast cancer. In a new interview, Schneider is opening up about just how difficult this holiday will be for him.

Christmas Is ‘Going To Be Rough’ For Schneider

“It’s going to be rough,” Schneider, 63, admitted to Fox News. “Grief is a funny thing. Grief will sneak up on you and smack you in the back of the head. Truly, when you least expect it. But usually right as you’re having a great time.”

“It’s almost like grief says, ‘No, no, no, no, no. You’re not going to smile today,’” he continued. “‘You’re not going to laugh today.’ But, you know, the notion that grief will ever go away is silly. Grief will never go away. It’s just something we learn to carry. And I’m learning. Not a lesson I ever wanted. Not a skill I ever wanted to acquire. But, you know, here it is. So I’m making the best of it.”

Schneider went on to say that he plans to celebrate Christmas in Nashville, Tennessee with Allain’s parents and her daughter Jessica, who she had with an ex-husband. They plan to honor Allain as best they can over the holiday.

“We’re going to spend all that time together, which is probably what we would have done if Alicia were here,” Schneider explained. “We’re going to celebrate her. We’re going to miss her. But it’s hard. It’s very hard. We’re going to celebrate such a wonderful, wonderful life and such a force in all of our lives.”

‘All You Can Do Is Hang On’

Spending Christmas with his in-laws and Jessica is “one big way” that Schneider will be continuing the Christmas traditions that he previously shared with Allain.

“My extended family through Alicia will always be my family,” Schneider added. “So I’ll be part of what they do, just as we were all part of what one another did for the last eight or nine years. So I’m going to keep that going.”

However, Schneider admits that he’s still not ready to think about what other traditions he’ll continue on with in the absence of his late wife.

“I would be I’d be lying if I said I had any kind of a concrete plan because you’re not ready,” he said. “You can’t be ready. It’s impossible. All you can do is is hang in and hold on. “

“I have found that helping other people, talking to other people who have experienced loss is a great, great way to strengthen yourself. It’s a great way to get a grip on yourself,” he continued. “So I do that as often as possible, and I encourage people to do the same.”

Schneider Leaning On His Christian Faith

Schneider has been open about his grieving process for his beloved wife, crediting his strong Christian faith with helping him to deal with this unimaginable loss in another Fox News interview back in September.

“If it weren’t for my faith, if it weren’t for my belief, absolute belief that God is real. Heaven is real,” Schneider said at the time. “The promise of God that Alicia and I will see each other again forever. If it weren’t for that, I think I would have jumped off a bridge.”

“But I believe because my grandmother instilled it in me with one very brief conversation,” he continued. “I was about 8 years old, and she said, ‘Johnny, one of these days, I’m not going to be here anymore, but don’t worry, I’ll be with Jesus and you will see me again.’”

This is clearly not going to be an easy Christmas for Schneider. Please join us in saying a prayer for him during this difficult time.
