Trump was banned from Facebook in 2021 after his supporters assaulted the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to block the certification of the election, which he lost, and keep him in office.

Facebook later said the suspension would be in place for two years and he would be reinstated only if “the risk to public safety has receded.”

“I’m actually surprised Trump wants to get back on,” Kimmel said on Thursday. “Isn’t Facebook just an unpleasant annual reminder that Don Jr. and Eric were born?”

Kimmel delivered a warning to Facebook straight out of the movies.

“This is like Jurassic Park saying they’re gonna ask around to see if it’s cool to let the raptors out again,” he cracked.

Kimmel also couldn’t resist taking a shot at the former president’s own flailing social media platform.

“Who needs Facebook when you can reach almost a dozen people a day on Truth Social?” he asked.

“Of course, anytime documents are mishandled, top-secret documents, it needs to be taken seriously. That’s something Republicans and Democrats believe,” Kimmel said. “Although Republicans have only believed it since Monday.”

Kimmel also had a bipartisan plan for how to deal with both Trump and Biden on the documents issue.

  • In a Cheeky New Jimmy Kimmel Skit, the Princes Have Hands

In a Cheeky New Jimmy Kimmel Skit, the Princes Have Hands

    [ad_1]

Prince Harry’s forthcoming memoir, Spare, was accidentally leaked a week early in Spain. The highly-anticipated, secret-spilling, 416-page tome promised to be a revealing portrait of the Duke of Sussex’s life. And according to the Spanish translations which have dominated the current global news cycle, it delivers.

The memoir, officially set to be released on January 10th, spills all the tea:

    • His wild experimentation with drugs from his teenage years to adulthood
    • His unrequited crush on former Friends star Courtney Cox
    • His strained relationship with his daddy, King Charles
    • How it was his brother who encouraged him to wear that Halloween costume
    • His shocking time in the army (including the number of people he killed)
    • And, most compellingly, his gradual falling out with said brother, the royal golden-boy, Prince William

The most talked about and memed passage in the book (so far) details a scuffle between the Dukes of Sussex and Cambridge over Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle, the now-Dutchess of Sussex. William had been vociferously against their marriage, and they actually had a knock-down-drag-out fracas in Nottingham Cottage that ended with broken crockery and Harry’s bum in a dog bowl. Such outrage is detailed in his memoir.

Obviously, the internet had a field day with this alleged altercation. The best take on the fight was a reenactment on Thursday, January 5th’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! In this hilarious skit, two actors dressed as the rock legend Prince go at it in a spoof of the Harry and William brawl.

Watch the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Prince Harry and Prince William fight skit here:

The brilliant premise has the two princes played by a pair of actors each dressed as Prince to reenact the fight without getting into too much trouble.

Meanwhile, a voiceover reads from the memoir as the actors perform a word-for-word version of the events. To signify Nottingham Cottage, a sign reads “Nott Cott.” The wordplay is subtle, yet uproarious.

The most riotous moment happens when Harry describes the dog bowl breaking beneath him — which is far funnier when played by the two actors in flamboyant wigs and Prince’s superstar get-up.

The skit is already viral and is sure to rack up sales in anticipation to the memoir’s actual release date. All I can say is, this fight better be the inspiration for Ryan Murphy’s next season of Feud. And godspeed to the writers of the coming seasons of The Crown.

For now, you should order the book to read even more drama and sordid details about the royal Prince.

Preorder Spare to get the rest of the juicy gossip firsthand.

    [ad_1]

Actor Brendan Fraser can’t forget a not-safe-for-work encounter he and a movie crew had with late New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner in the ’90s.

Fraser, who has been making the press rounds for his recent movie “The Whale,” reflected on his movie “The Scout” during an interview with late night host Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday.

“The Mummy” actor said he watched the iconic owner, known as “The Boss,” lose it as the crew on the set of his 1994 movie “The Scout” filmed at the old Yankee Stadium.

“George Steinbrenner, it was his house… I can remember shooting a contract-signing scene and someone started shouting profanity and it’s George Steinbrenner and he’s shouting down between third and home plate going ‘Get that shit off of my infield,’” Fraser said.

“And these guys are freaking out because they’re dragging cables across the grass and he’s like… he was not happy about it at all. Not happy about it, had to go calm him down but he had a point.”

Fraser, who plays the fictional Yankees pitcher Steve Nebraska in “The Scout,” also told Kimmel that he filmed the movie during the 1994-95 Major League Baseball strike and players ribbed him that he was the “only guy getting paid to wear the pinstripes” that year.

Noting that the Republican “will not be moving to Washington” after his defeat to Sen. Raphael Warnock in the Senate runoff, Kimmel praised the victor for staying focused on his “primary message to Georgia voters, which was: ‘I am not Herschel Walker.’”

    The burns didn’t stop there.

“With the election now behind him, Herschel says he will now focus on his true passion: having more kids than Nick Cannon,” Kimmel continued. “Herschel is already working on his next project, which is desperately trying to learn to sing ‘Baby Got Back’ while dressed like an acorn on ‘The Masked Singer.’ Herschel has decided to step away from the spotlight to spend more time denying allegations from his family.”

Herschel beat out Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Donald Trump’s former White House press secretary Sean Spicer for Kimmel’s title, after both of them blundered in their Pearl Harbor anniversary messages.

The talk show host noted that the tree was planted last October after the previous one was removed in May 2021 because of a fungal disease.

“The second time that year that a fungus had to be removed from the White House,” Kimmel sniped.

News that the House Ways and Means Committee had been granted access to six years of Trump’s tax returns also put Kimmel in the spirit of the season. He figured Democrats in the House were feeling the same. “I imagine the snow angels they’re making of those papers right now,” he joked.

At one point the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host showed clips of Graham (R-S.C.) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) relentlessly promoting Walker’s campaign website in advance of his runoff election against Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock for senator in Georgia. One segment showed Graham doing pushups as he recited the url address with Walker counting.

“I really think that Lindsey Graham might be in love with Herschel Walker,” Kimmel said. “And by the way, 35 pushups … It’s hard to do pushups with an erection. That’s a lot.”

Jimmy Kimmel spotted something unusual in Donald Trump’s latest legal gripe, with his attorneys complaining the FBI took personal items during its search of his Mar-a-Lago club over the summer ― including pictures of Celine Dion.

“What is he doing with multiple pictures of [Celine Dion]?” Kimmel asked. “Is it possible he’s even weirder than we thought he was?”

Kimmel also wondered why the ex-president is trying to keep anything secret at this point given what’s already known.

“We already know he cheated on his wife. We know he cheated on his taxes. He cheated on business deals. He gives almost nothing to charity. And he tried to get an election overturned. Unless he’s also secretly the chupacabra, what’s left to hide?”

The former vice president had an awkward night at a CNN town hall event ― including cases where he got the names of the questioners wrong.

“I think we just found the new spokesperson for Prevagen,” Kimmel said, referring to the supplement that’s supposed to help with memory. “Maybe the reason he calls his wife ‘mother’ is because he can’t remember her name!”

After playing another awkward clip, Kimmel reached a conclusion about Pence.

“I think he might be a robot,” Kimmel said. “I think someone built Donald Trump a robot vice president ― and on the morning of January 6, he lost the remote control.”

In another clip, Pence said he’s “as human as the next guy.”

“Yup, definitely a robot,” Kimmel said.

  • Jason Momoa Gives Jimmy Kimmel Exactly What He Asked For With Mid-Interview Strip

Jason Momoa Gives Jimmy Kimmel Exactly What He Asked For With Mid-Interview Strip

    [ad_1]

Ask and you shall receive, Jimmy Kimmel.

Before Jason Momoa stripped down in front of the talk show host mid-interview (more on that later), he was already wearing an outfit to remember: bright purple silk pajamas and a pink velvet coat.

The ensemble is apparently the costume the actor wears in his new Netflix film “Slumberland,” but Kimmel was far more interested in the traditional Hawaiian malo Momoa sported on a recent fishing trip.

The “Aquaman” star explained that he’s been wearing the garment while shooting “Chief of War,” an upcoming Apple TV+ limited series set in the 18th century about the unification and colonization of Hawaii.

“That’s what I wear every day,” Momoa explained. “I was just getting ready for the role and I like to get into character and so I was tanning my white ass.”

The host then began peppering the star with questions: “And that’s comfortable? So you’ll wear this to the supermarket? Would you shop in this? Let’s say you went to the movies, would you wear this to the movies?”

Momoa happily obliged Kimmel’s inquiries, but chose to show rather than tell when the comedian asked whether he was “wearing this under your clothes right now.”

“Of course,” Momoa replied, before standing up and fully disrobing to reveal the butt-baring outfit mere inches away from Kimmel’s face.

After giving the host quite the view (and even a little jiggle), he quickly put his clothes back on to carry on with the rest of the interview.

But Kimmel clearly needed a moment, joking, “Let me tell you, I never felt more like Danny DeVito than I do right now.”

Momoa, for one, explained that the malo is so comfortable that he far prefers it to his regular outfits.

“I actually don’t even like wearing clothes anymore,” he said. “I’m in it every day. I wear it all the time.”

Based on the cheers coming from the audience, there are clearly no complaints.

Jimmy Kimmel Fires Back With ‘Toilet’ Dig After Trump Attacks Him By Name

    [ad_1]

During a podcast interview last week, the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host said that he lost about half his fans when he started to go after Trump ― something the ex-president reveled in… and exaggerated… during the rally.

“I saw Jimmy Kimmel said that his show’s practically dead because nobody that likes Trump will watch,” Trump crowed. “And guess what? That turned out to be a majority of the people. The show is dead and so are the other ones!”

“That’s right,” Kimmel mocked. “Our show is dead. Our show is so dead he’s going to bury it next to his ex-wife at one of his golf courses.”

    But Kimmel didn’t stop there.

“I’ll tell you what’s dead,” he added. “All those endangered animals your chinless son shot, that’s what’s dead.”

Kimmel also said that his show was about to mark its 20th anniversary.

“You got kicked out after four, okay?” he said. “I’m on television. You’re on the toilet at your golf club screaming at yours.”

  • Jimmy Kimmel to host 2023 Oscars “after everyone good said ‘no'”

Jimmy Kimmel to host 2023 Oscars “after everyone good said ‘no’”

    [ad_1]

Academy Awards season is just a few months away. Early next year, “Hollywood’s biggest night” will be hosted — once again — by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

This will be the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host’s third time taking the stage at the Oscars. He hosted the 89th and 90th awards show in 2017 and 2018. The 95th annual awards show will be held on March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

“Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap,” Kimmel said in a press release. “Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said ‘no.’”

Despite his self-deprecating quip, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang said in the same release he is the “perfect host.”

“His love of movies, live TV expertise and ability to connect with our global audiences will create an unforgettable experience for our millions of viewers worldwide,” they said. “With Kimmel, [executive producers and showrunners Glenn] Weiss and [Ricky] Kirshner’s fresh perspective and masterful guidance, the Oscars will celebrate its rich 95-year history, the collaborative nature of moviemaking, and our diverse, dynamic and deeply creative community of filmmakers.”

Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals, said Kimmel returning to host is a “dream come true.”

“As we see every night on his show, Jimmy can handle anything with both heart and humor,” he said.

At the last Oscars, Will Smith famously marched on stage and slapped host Chris Rock across the face. The attack occurred after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, calling her “G.I. Jane” in reference to her lack of hair. The actress and wife of Will Smith has lost her hair due to alopecia, an autoimmune disease.

“We know that [Kimmel] will deliver the laughs and celebratory moments that define the Oscars,” Erwich said. “We love being the home of Hollywood’s biggest night and can’t wait to toast the success of this year’s cinema and storytelling.”

Jimmy Kimmel says he was going to quit his show if ABC asked him to stop making Trump jokes | CNN

    [ad_1]

    CNN
     —

Jimmy Kimmel claims he was ready to walk out on his longtime late-night hosting gig if his bosses at ABC asked him to stop making jokes about then-presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

The comedian, who has been hosting “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on the network since 2003, said on the most recent episode of Sticher’s “Naked Lunch” podcast that he was willing to quit his job if the constraint was placed on him.

Kimmel said concern was “hinted at” by executives “right around the beginning of this whole Trump thing,” when he says the network’s research found he’d lost half of his fanbase – “maybe more” – as he began making more jokes about the former reality star.

“Ten years ago, among Republicans, I was the most popular talk show host. At least according to the research they did,” Kimmel said.

But regardless of that slip in popularity among certain circles, Kimmel said at the time that he was simply not willing to refrain from making jokes about Trump.

“I said, ‘If that’s what you want to do, I understand, I don’t begrudge you for it, but I’m not going to do that. If you want someone else to host the show, that’s fine with me. I’m just not going to do it like that,’” Kimmel remembered saying.

CNN has reached out to ABC for comment.

Kimmel has previously credited people like David Letterman and former “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart for being leaders in how to address more difficult subjects, including hot-button political issues.

“You watch the news all day, you see what’s going on, how do you walk on stage and ignore it? It just doesn’t work anymore,” Kimmel said in 2019. “I wish I could. It’s hard for me to talk about serious subjects. It takes a lot out of me. I do want to be funny. That’s fun.”

Kimmel renewed his deal with ABC earlier this year that will keep him in his hosting chair for three more years. His contract had been set to expire in 2023.

Blindfolded Julia Roberts Tries To Guess Who’s George Clooney With Surprise Twist

    [ad_1]

It would seem like a slam dunk that even a blindfolded Julia Roberts could identify “Ticket to Paradise” co-star George Clooney by feeling his face.

The two have appeared together in a handful of movies, including “Ocean’s Eleven.” They’ve been friends for decades. And in their latest movie, a rom-com in which they play exes, they did a kissing scene that required dozens of takes because they kept laughing. That’s a lot of face time.

But what if “Jimmy Kimmel Live” were not only to present Roberts with multiple options but also shift Clooney around and insert Jimmy Kimmel in his spot?

Impressively, Roberts quickly guessed that Clooney wasn’t among the faces she had considered — and confirmed immediately that it was him when he popped back into the final chair.

Jimmy Kimmel Stops The Show With A Prison Wish For Donald Trump

    [ad_1]

Jimmy Kimmel said Donald Trump is like “spam come to life” for the increasingly bizarre conspiracy theories the former president has been spreading at his rallies.

“Some idiot tells him something, and he runs with it,” Kimmel said. “He just keeps repeating it ― and none of that would excuse intentionally stealing and leaving classified documents laying around your golf course.”

But he said Trump is making his outlandish claims and repeating those conspiracy theories for a reason.

“The whole thing is him priming the pump to get people to riot when he inevitably goes to prison,” Kimmel said. “Which I… hold on a second.”

Kimmel then paused mid-monologue for a moment of prayer:

“I’ll save it for tonight,” he said as the audience cheered.

He also had an answer for Trump’s latest “puzzling assertion” from a weekend rally when he claimed “two years ago, everything was so good in our country… and now?”

“Remember when we had to ration toilet paper and the parking lots were makeshift morgues?” Kimmel asked. “That was two years ago.”

Jimmy Kimmel said yet another book about Donald Trump is showing what the people around the former president really think about him.

That includes members of his inner circle ― and even his own family.

But what really came through in the book was that those closest to Trump knew all that and more.

“According to this book, everyone who worked at the White House ― including his family ― thought Trump was a dangerous, unpredictable child,” Kimmel said.

    Then, Kimmel called them out.

“On behalf of all of us, I just want to say ‘thank you’ to those brave men and women who kept that information to themselves and away from the American people who could have removed him from office,” Kimmel said.
