  • Introducing Jersey: The Rising Force in French Dance Music | Your EDM

Introducing Jersey: The Rising Force in French Dance Music | Your EDM

    [ad_1]

When Fred Again burst onto the scene with his groundbreaking boiler room set, he sent shockwaves through the industry. Now, a fresh electronic duo is capturing that same feverish, cult-like energy reminiscent of Fred Again’s early days. In an era dominated by the TikTok algorithm, where artists strive to promote themselves authentically, only a few manage to forge a genuine digital presence without compromising their brand.

Meet Jersey, a dynamic French duo comprised of siblings making waves in the electronic music scene. They stand out amidst the crowd, choosing a unique path to showcase their authenticity, taking an unfiltered approach, producing videos with using 360 cameras, eye-catching AI-generated visuals, and hosting boiler room-esque parties scattered throughout Paris. The results are impressive, with Jersey recently surpassing 100,000 followers on social media, signaling no signs of slowing down.

Their journey began in the basement of their family’s home off the Normandy coast in France, evolving into the underground clubs of Paris post-high school. Here, they honed their production skills, crafting a sound using analog equipment and instruments that seamlessly blend high-energy house music with elements of UK garage and Drum and Bass. This distinctive style defines their music, reflecting the frenetic energy of their live sets and synonymous parties.

Jersey’s modern and fan-declared “futuristic” sound, coupled with viral live sets, quickly garnered a devoted following. Fans not only connect with their music but also with the compelling narrative of two siblings pursuing a shared dream, navigating the music industry on their terms while staying true to their artistic vision.

Transitioning from local gigs to larger stages, Jersey’s online presence grew organically. TikTok videos and Instagram Reels offer behind-the-scenes glimpses into their creative process and electrifying live performances. Unlike traditional promotional content, Jersey’s approach feels like an extension of their artistry, turning followers into active participants in a journey that blurs the lines between the digital and the real.

In the realm of French dance music, names like DJ Snake, Tchami, Mercer, and Malaa of the Pardon My French collective dominate. With a name poised to reignite France’s dance music dominance, Jersey is positioned to be the next breakthrough act in the French electronic music scene.

Don’t miss out on Jersey’s debut EP, “The World I’m Searching For,” available now via TH3RD BRAIN Records.

Travis Kelce Game Jersey Sells For HOW MUCH Amid Taylor Swift Romance?! – Perez Hilton

    [ad_1]

New money, suit and tie — or in this case, a Kansas City Chiefs fit!

Travis Kelce‘s game jersey, worn in the 2019 Mexico City game against the Los Angeles Chargers, hit the Goldin Auctions house recently, and the lucky bidder who won had to shell out some serious cash!

The white jersey with Kelce and the number 87 written across the back went for a WHOPPING $37,000 on the site! The Taylor Swift bump strikes again!

Related: Taylor Swift Breaks Silence On Travis Kelce Romance!

For reference, with that kind of money, you could buy a brand new Cadillac with all the luxury add-ons. An even more wild comparison, according to the US Census, that sum is $6 grand more than the yearly income for the average American household which is only around $31,000. And it was all spent on a top the tight end wore in ONE game!

We mean, he did score a touchdown, but WOW! It hasn’t even been washed! Though we guess that’s part of the appeal for a lot of buyers… LOLz!

The owner of the auction house Ken Goldin spoke to TMZ about the huge sale, and he said the NFL star’s girlfriend is clearly to blame for the steep uptick in price:

“This is an all-time record for a Travis Kelce game-used item. He has always been popular but the success of the Chiefs, as well as the publicity he’s gotten around his relationship with Taylor Swift, has added to his popularity and awareness among collectors.”

The T-Swizzle effect, everyone! These two just continue breaking records together, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.

  • Netflix plans $900M facility at former New Jersey Army base

Netflix plans $900M facility at former New Jersey Army base

    [ad_1]

Netflix said Wednesday it plans to build a state-of-the-art production facility at a former Army base at the Jersey Shore that will cost more than $900 million, and create thousands of jobs.

The subscription video streaming company will pay $55 million for a 292-acre site on the former Fort Monmouth military base in Eatontown and Oceanport.

The California-based company plans an additional $848 million worth of investments in 12 sound stages and for other uses related to the film industry.

“We’re thrilled to continue and expand our significant investment in New Jersey and North America,” said Ted Sarandos, the company’s co-CEO and chief content officer. “We believe a Netflix studio can boost the local and state economy with thousands of new jobs and billions in economic output, while sparking a vibrant production ecosystem in New Jersey.”

The announcement was made Wednesday evening, following a vote by the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority to accept Netflix’s bid over three competing offers.

“This transformative investment will serve as a cornerstone in our efforts to create a thriving industry from whole cloth,” said New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat. “As a result of nearly a billion dollars in film production spending, New Jersey will further solidify its status as an emerging national leader in the television and film industries.”

He also said the project will create new housing, hotel and film-related businesses in the area, which has suffered economically since the Army closed the base in 2011.

The project is due to be completed in two phases over the course of several years.

The first will include the construction of a dozen sound stages, each ranging in size from 15,000 to 40,000 square feet (around 1,400 to 3,700 square meters).

Additional work may include office space, production services buildings and related studio space with the potential for consumer-focused components including retail uses.

“We are thrilled by the promise this Netflix project will deliver,” said Michele Siekerka, president and CEO of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association. “Jobs and innovation are at the heart of this Netflix-New Jersey partnership, just as they were throughout Fort Monmouth’s rich history.”

The plan still needs numerous levels of approvals from local and state officials.

Another TV and film production studio is set to be built in New Jersey on the site of a now-demolished public housing complex in Newark. The $125 million, 12-acres studio will be anchored by global entertainment provider Lionsgate, officials announced in May.

Death toll in Jersey fire rises to 5; 4 still missing

    [ad_1]

LONDON — The number of people killed in an apartment building explosion and fire on the English Channel Island of Jersey has risen to five, and four others are still unaccounted for, police said Sunday.

Robin Smith, chief of Jersey Police, said specialist teams were continuing a painstaking search of the area in St. Helier, the island’s capital, and warned it was likely to be weeks before investigations are completed.

“There are still a number of residents, we are working on the assumption of four, that remain unaccounted for,” he said. “Their families were made aware of this announcement before other islanders. They continue to be supported by special officers.”

A blast destroyed a three-story apartment block in St. Helier at about 4 a.m. on Saturday. Smith said the fire was “likely” caused by a gas explosion, but that has not yet been confirmed.

Smith said the fire service had been called to the area the night before after residents reported smelling gas. He said police would investigate “whether or not there was a safety issue” with natural gas lines.

Authorities said Sunday that the search mission was now a “recovery operation” and they no longer expect to find anyone alive.

“We have moved to a recovery stage, it’s a moment to think about the families,” Smith said.

Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, is a self-governing dependency of the United Kingdom located off the coast of northern France in the English Channel.

Gas supplier Island Energy said it is working with the fire service to “understand exactly what has happened.”

3 dead, several missing after explosion, fire on Jersey

    [ad_1]

LONDON — An explosion and fire in an apartment building on the Channel Island of Jersey killed at least three people and left several missing, police said Saturday.

Robin Smith, the chief officer of the States of Jersey Police, said during a news conference that “around a dozen” residents were missing following the blast in the town of St Helier.

Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, is a self-governing dependency of the United Kingdom located off the coast of northern France in the English Channel.

Smith said a three-story building had “completely collapsed” and there was also damage to a nearby building. He described the scene as “devastating” and warned there could be more fatalities.

Smith said the fire service had been called to the area the night before after residents reported smelling gas.

He said police would investigate “whether or not there was a safety issue” with natural gas lines.

Police said in a statement that while the fire was extinguished, emergency service agencies were carrying out significant work” at the scene.

Authorities advised Jersey residents to only seek emergency hospital care in the event of an actual medical emergency and to avoid the area of the blast, which was cordoned off.

Austin Pets Alive! | One kitty, Two Legs & a Whole Lotta Love

    [ad_1]

    Feb 02, 2022

Each one of those lives is special but sometimes a little furry friend climbs into our hearts. One of those feline friends is named Jersey Bagel.

When we first met Jersey Bagel it quickly became clear that her back two paws were in serious need of medical care. Jersey Bagel’s paws were terribly infected and the pain quickly became overwhelming for her fragile body. Our vets knew we needed to act quickly. APA! lept into action and after a double amputation, Jersey Bagel wasn’t doing well in the shelter. She stopped eating, drinking and couldn’t seem to relax. We reached out to one of our most committed fosters, Allie Wassel, to help Jersey Bagel transition to a home so she could have the best chance at recovery.

Check out what Allie had to say about her new roommate, Jersey Bagel!

What has been your favorite moment with Jersey Bagel?

When I brought her home, she stretched out on all her blankets and just started purring. She was so clearly happy to be out of the shelter and it was heartwarming to see her so relaxed and comfortable.

Why do you love fostering with APA!?

I remember exactly where I was when I decided to foster her. I was on a plane, and I got a text from a care team member that we were starting to have quality of life talks about Jersey Bagel. Our vets had fixed her feetsies, but she wouldn’t eat in the shelter, wasn’t healing and was absolutely miserable. I frantically reached out that I would foster her as soon as I got home. When I brought her home she immediately started eating and relaxed, she just hated the shelter THAT much. It’s for cats like Jersey Bagel that fostering makes all the difference.

What do you think would have happened to Jersey Bagel without APA!’s help?

Jersey Bagel is FeLV positive (Feline Leukemia Virus), ringworm positive and a double amputee. Therefore, she needed some pretty intense wound care. I padded my entire guest bathroom with blankets, yoga mats and made a special litter box for her “nubs” while they healed. I imagine many other shelters would have euthanized her for simply being FeLV+ before even considering other complications she came with.

(FeLV or Feline Leukemia Virus is often a death sentence in traditional shelters despite cats with FeLV being able to live for many happy years)

How do monthly donations from members help animals like Jersey Bagel have a second chance to thrive?

Your monthly donations make sure that our clinic has the funds to do special surgeries for kitties like Jersey, and all the follow-up medications she was on for weeks. We spent weeks on different medications trying to get her paws better before they had to make the unfortunate call to amputate both her back paws. But I am happy to say that after two months of healing, both her nubbins look great and she is a perfect kitty!

Jersey Bagel is currently available for adoption! If you have the space in your home for this wild girl, please reach out!

By becoming a Constant Companion today, you can help APA! reach our goal of 100,000 lives saved and grow to care for the next 100,000 animals in need. Because if there is one thing we know for sure, there will always be animals in need of our care and our love.
