  • Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson to Return for ‘Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning to the games.

The two stars, known for their roles in Lionsgate‘s original Hunger Games films, will appear in the forthcoming prequel movie The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Lionsgate releases the new feature in theaters Nov. 20, 2026.

Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen, while Hutcherson will return as Peeta Mellark, with the pair likely appearing in a flash-forward. No details have been disclosed.

Francis Lawrence directs the movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling novel. The previously confirmed castmembers of Sunrise on the Reaping include Ralph Fiennes as President Snow, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee Latier, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket. Joseph Zada, Glenn Close, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke and Whitney Peak round out the core cast.

The book Sunrise on the Reaping takes place in Panem on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games, 24 years before the events in The Hunger Games, the first novel that published in 2008. The franchise’s first five movies have surpassed $3.3 billion at the worldwide box office, with the initial four films led by Lawrence as Katniss, Hutcherson as Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne. The film series kicked off with 2012’s The Hunger Games.

Lawrence and Hutcherson’s most recent entry in the franchise was 2015’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2, which ended with the pair married with children. Lawrence earned a Golden Globe Award nomination this week for her role in Die My Love, while Hutcherson currently stars in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

Francis Lawrence helms the new movie from a script by Billy Ray that adapts Collins’ book. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson produce for Color Force, while Cameron MacConomy executive produces.

Sunrise on the Reaping is a sequel to 2023’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which starred Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth and Hunter Schafer.

Lionsgate did not respond for comment.

The InSneider was first to report on Lawrence and Hutcherson being involved.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Doesn’t Judge Robert Pattinson for Having Zero Oscars, Really

JLaw and R.Pat are one delightful duo. Die, My Love stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson recently participated in an especially entertaining edition of Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test, where they chatted about rapping, former roommates, reality television, and having (or not having) Oscars.

Those who have been paying attention should have seen this coming: Lawrence told Las Culturistas hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers that she specifically wanted to do a Lie Detector Test with Pattinson. When Lawrence’s wish was granted, she made Pattinson strap in for the polygraph first. Pattinson, who has a known history of telling tall tales during interviews, was visibly nervous before Lawrence began grilling him. Her first one for Pattinson: “You once said you wanted to be a rapper named Big Tub. Do you want to be Big Tub instead of being an actor?” Ultimately, Pattinson agreed it was too late to pursue his rapping dream—and acknowledged that he hadn’t yet chatted with fellow rapper turned actor Timothée Chalamet about his musical aspirations.

Lawrence later asked Pattinson if he’s jealous that she has an Oscar and he does not. “I’m not jealous of your specific one. I’m glad you have one,” he said after careful consideration. “I wouldn’t want to take it off you and have it for myself.” So diplomatic. Further into the questioning, Pattinson joked that he would return for another Twilight film because he likes taking roles from younger actors—and maintained that he is a member of Gen Z. When Lawrence called him out—Pattinson is, in fact, a 39-year-old millennial—Pattinson dug his heels in further. You’re only as old as you feel.

Soon, it was Lawrence’s turn in the hot seat. She, too, was nervous: “I guess I never realized how much I lie in interviews,” Lawrence said. She was apparently truthful while saying that she still believes everyone hates her—“I don’t know why anybody wouldn’t”—and when calling Emma Stone her best friend. (No wonder the two are reportedly producing a Miss Piggy movie together.) Lawrence also admitted she’s jealous of Stone for having two Oscars, while Lawrence only has one—which doesn’t mean Lawrence judges Pattinson for having none. “You deserve many,” she added.

An avid reality television watcher, Lawrence admitted that she has fallen off on The Kardashians, but that didn’t stop her from having strong opinions about the family anyway. After revealing that her favorite is Khloé Kardashian, Lawrence laid in a bit on Kourtney: “Kourtney is more annoying than ever,” she said. “She drives me nuts. Everything has to be an announcement. ‘I’m not going to wear outfits anymore.’ Just wear whatever you want. Don’t make an announcement about it. Or like, ‘I don’t have a TV in my room.’ Just don’t watch TV. Stop announcing it. Just shh.”

It seems like Lawrence got away with at least one lie during the test, when Pattinson asked her if she thought The Hunger Games was cooler than Twilight. “No,” she said convincingly, prompting the analyst to confirm that she was being truthful. “Breaking news: This machine is broken,” Lawrence then said. It’s true: Katniss Everdeen could take Edward Cullen any day of the week.

  • Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, & Cole Escola team up for a Miss Piggy movie | The Mary Sue

Being a fan of The Muppets is nothing short of a roller coaster. One minute, you’re legitimately mourning the loss of decades-old and lovingly-made theme park attractions starring the crew. The next, you’re being treated to the news of a new Disney+ special from Seth Rogen and Sabrina Carpenter, which could lead to a full-blown revival of The Muppet Show. And apparently, that’s not even the best new Muppet project to be in the works this year.

A solo movie centered around Miss Piggy is in development. Not only that, but she has some pretty beloved names working behind the scenes to bring her story to life. Oscar-winning actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are producing the project, with Tony-winning actor and playwright Cole Escola writing the script. The Internet-breaking news was announced by Lawrence during a recent appearance on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ Las Culturistas podcast.

“I don’t know if I can announce this, but I’m just going to,” Lawrence revealed. “Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole is writing it.”

While a lot of details still remain under wraps, Lawrence did tease that the project is “fucked up” and “really dark.” She was also asked on the podcast if she and Stone would appear in the movie, and answered with an enthusiastic, “I think so, we have to.”

This will be Miss Piggy’s first solo outing, outside of the one-off variety television special The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show in 1982. It’s unclear, at this point, if the movie will end up in theaters or on Disney+ (although with these names attached, the former feels more than possible). Either way, in a week of movie news that already included the delightful reveal of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz returning for a new The Mummy movie, this Miss Piggy bombshell somehow managed to break the Internet even further.

    Believe in Moi!

There’s so much to process here. The idea of any combination of Lawrence, Stone, and Escola working together already sounds like a dream. Both Lawrence and Stone have evolved their careers in beautiful ways in recent years, taking on projects either in front of or behind the camera that manage to surprise us. And over the past year, with the smash success of their Broadway play Oh, Mary!, Escola has quickly established themselves as a creative force to watch. They made history earlier this year as the first non-binary performer to win the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play, and their writing on the play was also among the finalists for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

But when you fold in the reveal that their collaboration is going to be on a Miss Piggy movie, it is nothing short of magical. What glamorous and bizarre journey could the movie take us on? What guest stars could we expect? What is the over-under for how many karate chops we’ll see onscreen? The possibilities are endless.

As some tweets celebrating the news have already joked, this is one of those headlines where every sentence is better than the last, and reads like “when people say their dogs favorite words to get them riled up.” Even if the Miss Piggy movie still remains in development, I know I’m definitely not alone in already being riled up for it.

  • London Film Festival’s Standout Works Offer Portraits of Connection in a Disconnected World

The most challenging of times bring us the best art. Or at least, that’s what we tell ourselves, balancing the struggles of the modern era against the hope that something may come of them. This year’s crop of cinematic awards contenders suggests that our current trying times are inspiring varied, far-reaching responses to the quandaries that face us, yet there are thematic echoes resonating through even the most seemingly discordant films. Those themes felt especially poignant at the BFI London Film Festival, one of the final major festivals leading into the push of awards season. After opening with Rian Johnson’s Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man, a cleverly wrought meditation on faith, the 10-day festival showcased a diverse array of storytelling from around the world. At the heart of almost everything were reflections on two ideas: loss and isolation.

Loss manifested most obviously in films like Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet and Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams—tactile and beautiful stories about grief and how we continue to move through the world after the loss of a child (also explored in The Thing With Feathers). Kaouther Ben Hania’s essential film The Voice of Hind Rajab similarly explores the depth of sadness a young person’s death can manifest, but it acts more like a call to arms than a quiet meditation. Based on real events and using real audio, the docudrama depicts the killing of a six-year-old Palestinian girl at the hands of Israeli forces, confronting the viewer with the reality of the war, ceasefire or not. It is a film about what we have lost, but also what we will continue to lose.

Grief isn’t just for people, as several of this year’s films acknowledge. Father Mother Sister Brother, Sentimental Value, High Wire, & Sons and Anemone grapple with the tenuousness of familial relationships, while The Love That Remains, Is This Thing On? and even Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere face dissipating romances head-on. Some, like Bradley Cooper’s effortlessly charming Is This Thing On?, assert the possibility of reconciliation. Perhaps any relationship is worth another shot. Richard Linklater’s slight but compelling Blue Moon reckons with another type of loss: artistic identity. Ethan Hawke plays songwriter Lorenz Hart, mere months before his death, as he accepts his fate as a failure on the evening his former creative partner Richard Rodgers opens the successful Oklahoma!

Hart’s disconnect from Rodgers, the tragic core of Blue Moon, suggests that we may fear isolation even more than loss. Grief is often ephemeral, easing over time, but a lack of human connection can last a lifetime. Hikari’s thoughtful film Rental Family stars Brendan Fraser as an American living in Tokyo, far removed from both his culture and his prior life. He’s alone, which draws him to a job feigning connection for other isolated people. Pillion, a standout of the festival and filmmaker Harry Lighton’s feature debut, suggests that we can only discover real connection once we are honest about who we are and what we want. The film is aided by Harry Melling’s vulnerable performance as a young British gay man who finds solace in a submissive relationship with the leader of a biker gang. We are less far apart than we think, sexual preferences aside.

Isolation isn’t always solved by the presence of someone else, as examined by Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, a confronting look at female mental health. As a postpartum woman with bipolar disorder, Jennifer Lawrence is feral and completely at sea, lost even when she’s with her husband and child. She tries to ground herself with sex, alcohol, and even violence, but she’s so disconnected from herself that there is nothing to hold on to. In The Chronology of Water, Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut, Imogen Poots embodies real-life writer Lidia Yuknavitch, who also turns to substances and sex as a way of rooting herself in reality. It doesn’t work, but Lidia eventually finds writing as a means of connection and a way to absolve herself of a traumatic past. In Wasteman, another standout of the festival and the feature debut of British filmmaker Cal McManus, inmates share a forced connection but can only move on from their crimes by standing up for themselves. Shared circumstances may not unite us after all, as McManus explores through his lead character, played by rising actor David Jonsson.

Although Palestinian history and identity were prominently and importantly on display during the festival in The Voice of Hind Rajab, Palestine 36 and Hasan in Gaza, this year saw a distinct lack of overtly political films. It’s not a year for war epics or presidential biopics, but instead for more intimate stories that underscore the idea that the personal is political. Despite being united by the internet and social media, we often feel alone in our struggles and experiences. Films remind us of what we share and why we share it, especially in tumultuous times like these. Loss and isolation impact everyone, everywhere, as so many filmmakers and screenwriters are presently exploring. In the spotlight this awards season are human stories about human emotions and human fears, told in charming and sometimes hauntingly unique ways. As the BFI London Film Festival lineup underscored, this is a particularly good year for cinema. Ideally, it will leave behind a record of a specific thematic moment in modern history—one where we know what there is to lose and we’re willing to face it anyway.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Once Told Viola Davis “I Lose So Much Control Over My Craft When I Have to Do Press”

Jennifer Lawrence is peeling back the curtain on why she’s grown to not be so fond of speaking with the press.

During an interview with The New Yorker, the Die My Love star recalled telling Viola Davis, “Every time I do an interview, I think, ‘I can’t do this to myself again.’ I feel like I lose so much control over my craft when I have to do press for a movie.”

The interviewee later brought up the topic of Lawrence’s past articles, to which she responded, “Oh, no. So hyper. So embarrassing.” The Oscar winner was once loved by fans due to her quirky, authentic nature, though online sentiment somewhat turned on her, with some claiming her personality was faux.

“Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defense mechanism,” Lawrence said. “And so it was a defense mechanism, to just be, like, ‘I’m not like that! I poop my pants every day!’”

She cited Ariana Grande’s 2016 impersonation of herself on Saturday Night Live as a time she found herself “annoying.”

“I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying,” she added. “I get why seeing that person everywhere would be annoying. Ariana Grande’s impression of me on SNL was spot-on.”

Still, Lawrence said the backlash made things feel “uninhabitable,” noting she felt “rejected” for her own “personality” at the time.

“I felt—I didn’t feel, I was, I think—rejected not for my movies, not for my politics, but for me, for my personality,” she explained. The Hunger Games actress has been candid in discussing the evolution of her career, and revealed that she parted ways with her former agency, CAA, as she felt she was viewed more as a “celebrity than an actor” and was “cut off from my creativity, my imagination.”

“I found out that a lot of filmmakers that I really loved and admired had scripts that weren’t even reaching me,” Lawrence told The New York Times in 2022. “I had let myself be hijacked.”

During The Hollywood Reporter’s 2022 actress roundtable, Lawrence addressed on feeling “hijacked” in her career, noting that she was with a “big agency” but also felt like she “was just losing touch with the world a little bit.”

“I was working so much, and so much of what we do has to do with observing people. I felt like I couldn’t really observe anyone because everybody was observing me,” she explained. “And so, taking a few years and getting back to life, I feel like I can be creative again in that sense.”

  • Lynne Ramsay Recalls Meeting “Totally Terrifying” Joaquin Phoenix: “I’ve Never Worked With Such an Exciting Actor in My Life”

Die, My Love director Lynne Ramsay was hosted by the BFI London Film Festival on Saturday and reflected on filming with A-list stars Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson.

The Scot’s latest feature — following Lawrence as Grace, a new mother who finds herself spiraling into the depths of psychosis — had its U.K. premiere Friday night at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with Ramsay going into more depth about the filming process at a Saturday Screen Talks session with fellow industry execs and creatives.

Known for her movies Ratcatcher (1999), Morvern Callar (2002) and We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011), Ramsay discussed getting to know Hollywood heavy-hitters and recalled meeting Phoenix, star of her 2017 neo-noir psychological thriller You Were Never Really Here. The film follows Phoenix as a traumatized mercenary named Joe, who is hired by a politician to rescue his kidnapped daughter in New York.

“He’s amazing,” began Ramsay, “I mean, he’s totally terrifying. He’s a beast, you know? When I first met him, I was like — oh, my God, I think I said something really stupid like, ‘Are you left-handed or are you right-handed?’”

She went on to explain the lengths that Phoenix, an Oscar winner for his performance in Joker, would often go to on set. “He would just never do the same thing twice, he’d just surprise you,” she continued, remembering one unscripted take where Phoenix purposely fell down some stairs. “Everyone’s running, going, ‘What’s happened to Joaquin?!’” said Ramsay. “He just thought, ‘I’ll try this and see if it works.’ […] Honestly, I’ve never worked with such an exciting actor in my life,” she added. “He’s phenomenal and he wants to just get on with it — he’s not into all the paraphernalia and these bullshit things… I feel bad for telling you that story because he’ll kill me!” When filming wrapped, Phoenix suggested they take the same crew and make another film straight away.

Ramsay delighted the BFI LFF audience with a couple of anecdotes about You Were Never Really Here, including one on a French financier who was desperate for it to go to Cannes. “He was obsessed with Cannes,” recalled the celebrated filmmaker. “He wanted to see a cut every week… [I said], ‘You can wait until you get the director’s cut. But he persuaded me into it. And then [he said], ‘This is shit, this is shit’ for the rest of the edit, which was actually so soul-destroying.”

Joaquin Phoenix in You Were Never Really Here.

When the movie finally nabbed a spot on the 2017 Cannes lineup, there were still scenes to shoot and Ramsay was left with a week to get the film ready. It later won best actor for Phoenix and best screenplay at the prestigious festival, but it was “the nuttiest film I had ever been on,” according to its director.

When asked about bringing music into her films, Ramsay admitted it was only after working with Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood on You Were Never Really Here that she had enjoyed hiring composers. “I never used music unless it was in the scene. And then the more and more I worked on features, and especially after I worked with Jonny Greenwood, whose work really enhanced my film, I changed my mind,” she said. “Because I feel that music can tell you so much about character.” She added that receiving files from Greenwood, who recently composed the score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s buzzy thriller One Battle After Another, was like “getting a Christmas present… I was just blown away by the music.”

Towards the end of the session, Ramsay was nervous to reveal too much about her latest film with Lawrence and Pattinson. “Jennifer Lawrence was just in a permanently bonkers situation,” she did tease, before going into depth about the characters of Grace and Jackson. “She does the most outrageous things, but he still loves her, you know?”

“But she kind of takes it to the limit,” continued Ramsay. “It’s also about her marriage and whatnot, and she feels a bit invisible… There’s all that hope moving into a new house, there’s wild sex and then a baby comes in and he doesn’t want sex with her anymore. Those kinds of things that happen in relationships are in the film as well as elements of [postpartum depression].”

The BFI London Film Festival 2025 runs Oct. 8-19.

  • Jennifer Lawrence To Receive Honorary Award At San Sebastián

Jennifer Lawrence will be feted at this year’s San Sebastián Film Festival with an honorary Donostia Award for career achievement.

Lawrence will attend the Spanish festival to accept the award. The actor’s latest flick, Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay and co-starring Robert Pattinson, will screen at the festival following the ceremony.

Set in rural America, Die My Love is a portrait of a woman engulfed by love and madness. Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson, increasingly worried and helpless.  LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek also star.

Ramsay directed Die My Love from her script written with Enda Walsh and Alice Birch. Producers include Justine Ciarrocchi and Lawrence on behalf of Excellent Cadaver, as well as Martin Scorsese, Andrea Calderwood, and Black Label Media’s Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill. The latter served as the financier.

Mubi snapped up rights to the pic in a $24 million deal at Cannes. The deal was for a full domestic theatrical commitment on 1,500 screens for 45 days. The territories covered are North America, Latin America, UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Turkey, India, Australia and New Zealand.

In Deadline’s review out of Cannes, Damon Wise was impressed by Ramsay’s “mesmerizing film,” describing it as a “brutal but beautiful story.” As for many critics, Lawrence proved to be the star of the show. “America knows very well how good Jennifer Lawrence can be,” Wise wrote, “and this could well mean a fifth Oscar nomination if it lands in savvy hands.” Ramsay also came in for particular praise: “It could also be the film that takes Ramsay into the next stage of her career,” he said.

San Sebastian will run from 19-27 September.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Is Pregnant With Her Second Child

Jennifer Lawrence Is Pregnant With Her Second Child

Just last year, Jennifer Lawrence announced her willingness to return to the Hunger Games franchise, saying “If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.” But right now, she has an even more demanding project on her plate: the upcoming birth of her second child.

The news came after the Lawrence—once the highest paid female actor in the world—was spotted in Los Angeles on her way to dinner. Her appearance spurred speculation that the 34-year-old might be expecting, with her representative confirming the pregnancy to Vogue on Sunday.

This will be the second child for Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney, who tied the knot on October 19, 2019. (Does that make last night’s dinner an anniversary celebration? Perhaps!) Maroney is “the greatest human being I’ve ever met,” Lawrence said the year they wed. “He really is, and he gets better.”

The two welcomed their first child, Cy Maroney, in April 2022. In the years surrounding her first pregnancy, Lawrence took a break from the business, telling Vanity Fair in 2021 that “everybody had gotten sick of me.”

“I’d gotten sick of me. It had just gotten to a point where I couldn’t do anything right. If I walked a red carpet, it was, ‘Why didn’t she run?’”

In recent years, the star has been far more elusive, appearing in fewer films than she did during her awards-studded rise to the top in the 2010s. That retreat began even before she realized she pregnant with her first child, a revelation she had while in New Orleans to film Causeway, a 2022 release in which she played a veteran injured during the war in Afghanistan. “It was coming out of my performance in all these different creative ways, but I wasn’t conscious of it,” she told the New York Times in 2022.

“Then I went back, and when I’m home with my husband making this family, I’m so happy,” she said then.

Since then, she’s spoken less about her personal life and family. “It’s so scary to talk about motherhood. Only because it’s so different for everybody,” she told Vogue in 2022. “If I say, ‘It was amazing from the start,’ some people will think, ‘It wasn’t amazing for me at first,’ and feel bad.”

“My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about,” she said then. “I include my husband in that. And then they’re both just, like, out there—walking around, crossing streets. He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be like, ‘Good night!’ You know? Like, who sleeps?”

  • Documentary Zurawski v Texas Reveals the Personal Devastation of Antiabortion Laws

Documentary Zurawski v Texas Reveals the Personal Devastation of Antiabortion Laws

When filmmakers Maisie Crow and Abbie Perrault heard that it seemed likely that Roe v. Wade would be overturned, they sprang into action, thinking about how they could explore the devastating repercussions of that decision. “We really felt like we needed to couple the trauma and devastation with some sort of hope,” says Crow. “And we found that in Molly Duane and the case that she was filing in Texas.”

The pair, who had previously worked together on the 2021 documentary At the Ready, met attorney Duane through the Center for Reproductive Rights. She represents a woman named Amanda Zurawski, who nearly died when a Texas law prevented her from receiving an abortion after her pregnancy became nonviable. Zurawski subsequently joined with four other women and two doctors to sue the state.

Zurawski v Texas, which covers the case and will have its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival, is a deeply moving film investigating how Texas’s antiabortion laws have caused grief, loss, trauma, and in some cases near-death experiences. The laws prohibit most abortions even when a woman’s pregnancy is deemed unviable.

With executive producers that include Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, and Jennifer Lawrence, Zurawski v Texas takes one of the nation’s most pressing issues and makes it personal, told through the brave women who share their stories of loss and heartache. “Policies and war, they can just seem such faraway issues that will never happen to us. And that’s why films like this can be so impactful—to show the actual lives that are affected,” says Lawrence. “Not just how easily it could happen to you or someone you love, but to be a true witness to what happens when you’re not just failed by your government, but condemned by it.”

Samantha Casiano learned at a 20-week ultrasound that her fetus had no chance of survival.

Like many people across the nation, Chelsea Clinton learned of the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade when the Court’s draft opinion leaked in May of 2022. “I was sitting on the edge of my bathtub and just sobbing hysterically,” she says. “And I think what I was really grappling with that night was, ‘I’m not surprised, but I still am so completely shattered by what we’ve allowed to happen to women in our country.’”

She woke up the next morning determined to jump into action. Through their production company HiddenLight, which she founded with her mother, the pair joined the Zurawski v Texas team as executive producers. “No pregnant woman should ever be denied necessary medical care. The health care emergencies these women faced know no political boundaries; they affect all of us, our daughters, mothers, friends, and entire families,” says Hillary Clinton. “I hope that millions of people will watch Zurawski v Texas because I know it will help bring to life what is happening to women across the country at the most fundamental human level.”

In the film, we watch Duane as she fights in the court system for more clarity on antiabortion laws, which have left medical practitioners unsure of what abortion procedures are allowed. Zurawski’s water broke at 18 weeks pregnant, but she was denied an abortion even as her health rapidly declined. It wasn’t until she became septic that she was able to end her pregnancy. Another woman followed in the film, Samantha Casiano, learned at a 20-week ultrasound that her fetus had no chance of survival. Yet she was forced to carry her baby to term, and watched her daughter suffer for the four short hours of her life.

In an exclusive clip debuting here, Duane is captured practicing for the court case, as we see many of the women also preparing to appear in court. Throughout the film, Duane reveals the emotional toll that the case takes on her as well. “It became clear how much she threw herself into her work,” says Crow. “It didn’t take very long for her to be comfortable in front of the cameras.”

Their romance faced ups and downs, briefly splitting in 2013 before reuniting both off- and onscreen in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Katy Perry and John Mayer officially ended their on-again, off-again romance in February after dating for two tumultuous years. According to a sources at the time, the breakup was influenced by Perry’s stress over her upcoming tour. The insider shared, “She’s stressed about the tour. They’ve been fighting. It is probably for the best, because she is going to be on tour for forever. Of course, this happens all the time; I can’t keep track anymore. But for now, they are done.”

Their relationship had its highs and lows, with intense chemistry and public displays of affection contrasting with periods of tension and separation. Fans and the media were always speculating about what would happen next in their whirlwind romance amidst their busy music careers.

We’re still obsessed with all things Britney Spears, and back in 2014, the pop star was front and centre in the spotlight for her breakup with David Lucado. The duo began dating in March 2013 — just two months after the singer and Jason Trawick mutually ended their engagement.

Britney announced their split with a cryptic tweet in August, saying, “Ahhh the single life!”

Shortly after, during one of her Piece of Me concerts, she candidly addressed rumours of David’s infidelity, telling the audience, “So I know you know my boyfriend cheated on me,” adding, “But the best thing about being cheated on is I get to go on more first dates.”

Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.” Shortly after, the Muse frontman tweeted, “We’re both very happy, it’s for the best. Thanks for your kind words. Now about that new album.”

The couple, who began dating in 2010 and got engaged in April 2011, welcomed their son, Bingham, in July of the same year.

The split between Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose rocked Hollywood in September. After only a year of marriage, Amber filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for full legal custody of their 1-year-old son, Sebastian. Their breakup caught everyone off guard, especially considering their public displays of affection and seeming happiness together. Fans and media speculated about the reasons behind their sudden and unexpected separation.

Back in 2014, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart made headlines when they decided to part ways after over two years together. The media buzzed with rumours of infidelity, but sources close to J.Lo quickly dismissed these claims.

Despite their breakup, Lopez and Smart maintained a good relationship and frequently appeared together as “great friends” after their split. They briefly revived their romance in 2015, but their renewed relationship was short-lived, underscoring their bond. Just over a year after getting back together, they ended things once more, leaving fans and the media speculating about the future of their relationship.

Shortly after, Nick confirmed the split, admitting, “There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

Mariah and Nick tied the knot in a secret ceremony in 2008, just weeks after they began dating. Their marriage produced two children, 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, despite the challenges they faced in their relationship.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Is the Latest Celeb to Ditch Oval Sunglasses For This Trend

Jennifer Lawrence Is the Latest Celeb to Ditch Oval Sunglasses For This Trend

Jennifer Lawrence has been in sunny Los Angeles as of late, where sunglasses are an essential accessory. Accordingly, stylish celebrities in Los Angeles are a great source of sunglasses trend inspiration. And late winter is usually when the new trends start to emerge.

Over the past several years, it’s been oval sunglasses or bust. I personally think that oval sunglasses are a classic shape that stands the test of time. But when we’re talking about the freshest trends, oval shades aren’t it. What is it is oversized aviators. Jennifer Lawrence just joined celebs like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Angelina Jolie in wearing them—specifically, a pair of Bottega Veneta metal-framed ones. Metal-framed aviators are the most classic choice, but we’re also seeing lots of acetate-framed ones this season, from the likes of Bottega, Gucci, and Khaite x Oliver Peoples, to name a few.

Keep scrolling to see how chic Lawrence and others look in oversized aviators, and shop our favorite pairs for yourself.

  • Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

Another day, another date-night outfit reveal at Sushi Park for the celebrity set. This time around, the culprit was Jennifer Lawrence, who hit up Sunset Boulevard’s famous strip-mall omakase restaurant over the weekend alongside her husband Cooke Maroney looking effortless and cool as always.

For the occasion, the No Hard Feelings actress took inspiration from an era long before her dinner destination opened in 2006, when the street-style stars were Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carla Bruni, and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Wearing Bottega Veneta by Matthieu Blazy from head to toe, Lawrence’s midriff-baring sweater, belted dark jeans, and leather blazer were ’90s to a T. She also added a white tee for layering purposes, a thick brown belt, and one of the Italian fashion brand’s Tosca Intrecciato-leather shoulder bags. When I saw photos of the final fit, I knew immediately that this would be one of those JLaw looks that made it to best-dressed roundups for years to come. It’s just that good.

But what really stood out to me about the look was the same thing that always does when I scroll through ’90s street-style shots: the jeans. Back then, everyone had great jeans, usually perfectly distressed Levi’s. They fit just right and kept every outfit looking casual and uncomplicated, which is exactly what Lawrence’s jeans did for her ensemble. And the only trait hers share with those aforementioned muses is the fact that they’re cut in a classic, straight silhouette. Scroll down to see Lawrence’s date-night look and shop the timeless denim style that always comes out on top.

  • Camila Morrone Just Re-Created Jennifer Lawrence's Most Iconic Oscars Look

Camila Morrone Just Re-Created Jennifer Lawrence's Most Iconic Oscars Look

What’s the true public sign of celebrity friendship? Dressing up like each other, of course.

Camila Morrone just showed up to the 2024 Emmys red carpet in a dress reminiscent of the one her famous friend, Jennifer Lawrence, wore to the 2011 Academy Awards. Morrone, who is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in Daisy Jones and the Six, wore a sleek, minimalist Versace gown for her first Emmy nomination.

With no necklace and an over-the-top ’90s blowout, the 26-year-old actress is practically twinning with 2011 J.Law. The No Hard Feelings actress famously wore a red Calvin Klein dress to her first Academy Award nomination. Just take a look—the resemblance is uncanny. If there’s one thing Hollywood starlets are going to do, it’s wear red on their debut-nomination red carpet!

  • Jennifer Lawrence Just Wore the Elevated Jacket We'll All Buy in 2024

Jennifer Lawrence Just Wore the Elevated Jacket We'll All Buy in 2024

A new year calls for fresh outfit inspiration, and one of our favorite celebrities is already leading the charge. Jennifer Lawrence was pictured polishing up her casual outfit in the most 2024 way. Predicted by the runways to be a major trend next season, Lawrence proved she’s ahead of the fashion game with her excellent styling of a black leather blazer by The Row

A supremely chic outerwear option, a leather blazer combines the elegance of a classic blazer with the refined sheen and expensive smoothness of leather. Styling a denim and leather pairing, the actress kept her outfit looking casual yet elevated through her clever layering of textures. Completing her look with banana-milk yellow slippers (also by The Row) and black wide-leg trousers, Lawrence’s casual outfit provided a template for comfortable yet stylish winter dressing.

  • From Taylor Swift to Laura Harrier, the Under-$150 Buys Celebs Are All Wearing

From Taylor Swift to Laura Harrier, the Under-$150 Buys Celebs Are All Wearing

When celebrities choose to wear an affordable item, we tend to take notice. Seeing as Hollywood has access to the very best in everything (the best facialists, manicurists, and of course, stylists), it should come as no surprise that the wardrobe’s of the A-list would be equally as exclusive. And for the most part, they are. Celebs make headlines for wearing the latest designer It bag and those designers also clamor to have famous faces wear their collections. In other words, most celebs have their pick of luxury labels, but they love an affordable fashion find just like us because, well, sometimes the cheaper option really is the best.

Recently we’ve noticed some of the best-dressed stars in wallet-friendly pieces, so we figured it was worth sharing. From the $10 tights Taylor Swift wore all over NYC to the sneakers Jennifer Lawrence just stepped out in that could be the next It pair, these are the under-$150 items celebrities are prioritizing right now.

  • The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is your go-to for glamorous hair this party season

The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is your go-to for glamorous hair this party season

It was only a matter of time before quiet luxury went beyond Sofia Richie‘s blazers and ballet pumps to become a dominant trend in the hair space. The ‘Old Money blow-dry’ is a case in point. Characterised by soft bouncy bobs, salon-worthy waves and sleek ponytails, this is an elevated take on basic styles – and it ticks every box for the festive party season.

According to hair stylist Luke Hersheson – who works with everyone from Victoria Beckham to Dua Lipa – the Old Money blow-dry is the definition of polished hair. “There’s lots of shine and a little movement but essentially it is very brushed, full, glossy-looking hair,” he says.

    Instagram content

This content can also be viewed on the site it originates from.

From Succession to Gossip Girl, popular TV programmes have been fuelling our obsession with the aesthetic for some time. Then TikTok joined the party with offshoots such as the coastal grandmother.

Now Old Money is back in the spotlight courtesy of season 6 of The Crown. Margot Robbie‘s new film Saltburn will be fuelling the trend, too. To put this into perspective, #OldMoney has garnered over 11.2 billion views on TikTok, with #OldMoneyAesthetic amassing 142.3 million views.

But it’s our hair that is currently taking centre stage with timeless Old Money styles. Better still, you don’t actually have to possess huge sums of money to give the appearance that you’ve inherited a small fortune.

Classic hair accessories such as haberdashery bows and headbands are one way to lean into the aesthetic. Karlie Kloss delivered a masterclass in making the black hair bow look modern – not prissy – at this year’s Met Gala, while Jennifer Lawrence has sparked an entire micro trend around headbands, especially the black leather version that is her go-to of late.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Every Outfit Look Expensive

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Every Outfit Look Expensive

In the winter, the line between frumpy and chic is paper thin. It all really comes down to what coat you’re wearing, with outerwear being arguably the most important buy of the year for people in cities that experience true winters. Typically, parkas, puffers, and other coat styles that are lined with thick down err more on the frumpy side (with a few exceptions, of course), with wool, more tailored alts landing on the other side of the fashion spectrum. And of all the wooly coats out there, the most elegant, sleek silhouette of all is the robe coat. Don’t believe me? Maybe you will when you see Jennifer Lawrence’s latest NYC-winter look

Over the holiday weekend, JLaw got bundled up to walk around the city in a black beanie, Stella McCartney oversize sunglasses, and a gorgeous black robe coat that should more than prove my point about the luxe outerwear option. With the coat, she wore a plaid scarf, black trousers, and her go-to pair of Adidas Sambas. But really, it doesn’t matter what she wore with it. After all, the best quality of robe coats is their ability to make anything underneath them look expensive. Test this theory by shopping the robe coats below.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Even Sneakers Look Elegant

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Even Sneakers Look Elegant

When it came to her casual holiday-week outfits last week, Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t messing around. She stepped out the day before Thanksgiving in a fall outfit that undoubtedly literally made heads turn on the streets of NYC—even if they didn’t realize it was, in fact, Jennifer Lawrence wearing this great outfit.

The main character of Lawrence’s outfit is obviously her beautiful camel blanket coat, which is a Toteme classic (for reference, the exact name is the Toteme Annecy coat). She paired the coat with a turtleneck sweater, white pants, a belt, and Adidas sneakers. I can say with complete honesty that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more elegant celebrity sneaker outfit, and it’s largely thanks to the coat. Speaking of the coat, it’s an investment at $1300, but camel coats are notorious for making outfits look expensive, so there are plenty of other styles out there that will do the trick. Keep scrolling to shop some of them along with Lawrence’s exact Toteme coat.
