  • I Wear Jeans 24/7 in the Fall—6 Styling Ideas I’m Bookmarking for the New Season

I Wear Jeans 24/7 in the Fall—6 Styling Ideas I’m Bookmarking for the New Season

    [ad_1]

Fall is denim’s time to shine. Every fashion person I know usually orders a new pair of jeans or two for the fall, myself included. I look forward to styling my jeans all summer long, and now that fall is knocking on my front door, it’s time to start shifting my focus to all of the elevated ways I’m planning to wear jeans this season. I’m a former L.A. girl turned New Yorker, and one thing about living in Los Angeles is that everyone wears jeans all the time. So after two years in the City of Angels, I have racked up quite a collection of jeans. While I love a good pair of jeans, styling them can sometimes feel a little boring. This fall, my fashion intention is to be anything but. This led me to a deep dive into my social media feeds for all the chic ways to wear jeans under the sun, and six of them stood out to me above the rest.

Keep scrolling for all of the outfit formulas with jeans that I’m re-creating this fall.

  • Goodbye, Stains—These 30 Chic Nordstrom Pieces are Stylish and Easy to Clean

Goodbye, Stains—These 30 Chic Nordstrom Pieces are Stylish and Easy to Clean

    [ad_1]

This story goes out to my spill-prone queens. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a stain on your clothes and not being able to get it out. As a mother of two little ones (and with my own fair share of spills), I battle stains on the daily. Through this humbling practice, I have learned a few things along the way like what fabrics are the easiest to clean and the best cleaning duo for getting out even the toughest of stains—I am happy to share my learnings with you below.

When it comes to easy-cleaning fabrics, there are both natural and synthetic options that you will want to reach for on your next shopping trip. Cotton and wool will always be great natural picks. As for synthetic fabrics, polyester reigns supreme and is often used to create fleece and faux-leather pieces. On any of these fabrics, your best bet in combating a stain is to treat it before it has a chance to set. First, gently remove any debris. Next, run cool or warm water over the area and go in with my trusty duo: vinegar and clear dish soap.

I like to keep a small spray bottle with a 1:1 mix of white vinegar and water to spray directly on stains, drip on some dish soap (a little goes a long way), and then I take a toothbrush that I keep reserved for laundry and begin to scrub the area—You can scrub harder on cotton pieces but need to be gentler on more textured fabrics like wool or fleece. Add more of the spray mix or soap as you see fit and feel free to rinse in cool or warm water as needed to check your progress. From there, launder as usual.

With all this in mind, I rounded up 30 pieces from Nordstrom that are not only stylish but easy to clean. Here’s to stress-free laundry in your near future.

I Convinced My Friend to Give Low-Rise Jeans a Chance With This List of Styles

    [ad_1]

Low-rise jeans can be pretty scary. If you told me a few years ago that I’d be wearing them almost every time I put on a pair of jeans, I wouldn’t believe you. Since I work in the fashion industry, it didn’t take much to convince me to try this trend, but some of my friends have been a bit hesitant to give it a go. I tell them all how flattering low-rise jeans are because they exude confidence and feel very right now.

Some of my friends still don’t believe me, so I decided to prove them wrong with a little try-on. Every denim brand that I love has convinced me to love low-rise jeans with these styles. They’re comfortable, cute, and so flattering when styled right. Below, find the list of low-rise denim that I adore.

Sydney Sweeney Just Wore the New Madewell It Jeans That’ll Sell Out by September

    [ad_1]

In case you were wondering which pair of jeans you should add to your wardrobe next, Sydney Sweeney is here to provide a little help with that—whether she meant to or not. Sweeney was photographed in Malibu this week wearing the perfect pair of baggy, low-rise jeans, and they retail for just $138. (In this day and age, that’s considered a deal for denim.)

The jeans and cropped tank she wore with them are from stylist Molly Dickson’s new capsule collection for Madewell. The denim-focused collaboration includes overalls, denim skirts, cargo jeans, shorts, denim jackets, and a bralette, all of which are as cool as the looks that Dickson puts together for celebs like Sweeney herself, Camila Mendes, Lucy Hale, and Sadie Sink.

One of the standouts from the collection is Sweeney’s low-rise jeans, and given the buzz around it all, I’m sure they’re headed for a swift sell-out. (FYI—the jeans are a bit long with a 32-inch inseam, so 5’3″ Sweeney paired hers with platform shoes because she’s a smart fashion person.)

Scroll to shop Sweeney’s jeans and tank along with some more of the best pieces from the Molly Dickson collection.

  • Meghan Markle Wore the Skinny Jeans I Now Seriously Regret Getting Rid Of

Meghan Markle Wore the Skinny Jeans I Now Seriously Regret Getting Rid Of

    [ad_1]

When I was 19, I worked in a small clothing boutique that sold a surprisingly impressive designer assortment for a college town such as mine. On the ready-to-wear side, its racks were lined with Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Lauren Manoogian, and Samuji. And for denim, we exclusively sold Frame Denim, the brand every LA and NYC fashion girl was wearing at the time. I adored every pair from the brand and too often spent my entire paycheck on jeans.

One pair, in particular, that I bought and subsequently wore roughly three times a week every summer for years, was Frame’s Le Skinny de Jeanne style in white. When I graduated and moved to New York, I left a ton of clothing items behind, donating most of them and selling the rest. Those jeans were one of the pieces I parted ways with, an act I’m now very much regretting after spotting the exact same pair on none other than Meghan Markle.

Markle was seen exiting an office in Montecito, California wearing arguably the chicest, most luxurious outfit I’ve ever seen, consisting of a camel-colored robe coat, a cream sweater, an Hermès shawl, Chanel slingbacks, and an oversize, all-white Goyard tote. But even with all of that draped on her, the fashion item that my eyes were immediately drawn to were her jeans, the same exact pair of white Frame skinnies that I owned in college. Envious, I immediately started searching the internet for a pair to replace the ones I got rid of five years ago.

Below, check out Markle’s utterly elegant errands outfit and shop the closest pair of Frame jeans I could find to the now sold-out Le Skinny de Jeannes.

  • I Stopped Wearing This Denim Trend for a Minute, But It’s a Go-To Style Again

I Stopped Wearing This Denim Trend for a Minute, But It’s a Go-To Style Again

    [ad_1]

If I were to name the key denim silhouette over the last season, puddle jeans come to mind first. This baggy silhouette that’s longer and pools around the ankles has been a go-to among the fashion crowd given its cool and forward nature. I actually took a break from the cropped jeans I used to wear on repeat in favor of the longer silhouette.

Now, cropped jeans have always been around because they’re really a classic cut at this point, but puddle jeans have been one of the trendier choices. Thus, they’ve been a front-runner. Well, in addition to puddle jeans, I’ve also been seeing my favorite fashion follows post even more outfits featuring those tried-and-true cropped jeans again to complete classic looks (especially now during summer). So yes, in addition to continuing on with my puddle jeans, I’ve been inspired to introduce cropped jeans back into my rotation again.

Below you’ll uncover some of the cool outfit ideas I saved featuring cropped jeans. I also shopped out inspired pieces if you’re looking to add something fresh to your wardrobe.

5 High-Quality Denim Brands That Look Designer But Cost Under $200

    [ad_1]

While I’m a big fan of Khaite and Toteme jeans, filling my closet with these $300 to $500 jeans would be costly. I balance things out with more affordable denim. And honestly, I’ve found that my jeans from the more affordable brands are some of the most worn in my closet.

I’ve tried more affordable denim brands than I have the time to list, but I will say that not all are created equal, as I’m sure you know. I’ve tried plenty of duds, but none have been from the brands I’m here to talk about today, all of which offer the bulk (or all) of their denim collections for under $200.

There’s a good chance you’re already familiar with these popular brands I’m highlighting, but if you’re like me, you have denim on the brain again with fall approaching. Therefore, I’m just offering a little reminder that these brands excel at affordable jeans, and I chose the best current pairs to shop for. Scroll to do so.

5 Issues Everyone Has With Skinny Jeans, and How to Fix Them

    [ad_1]

Whether skinny jeans are currently the “trendiest” style on the market or not, we still can’t seem to get enough of them. Yes, yes, we’re totally down with the cooler fashion-girl favorites that are continuously emerging and the new jeans trends dominating the runway, too, but there’s no denying that it’ll be hard to completely break up with the slim-fit denim that’s paired so perfectly with everything in our closets for so many years.

But let’s face it: The style does come with its fair share of problems. It can take years to find the ultimate pair that’s not too tight in the knees, doesn’t sag in the butt, fits right in the calf, but isn’t too tight in the thigh. Are we right? Well, if you’re still searching (and not giving up on skinnies altogether), we’re helping you find the perfect pair. That’s right—we enlisted NYC-based denim aficionado and 3×1 founder Scott Morrison to weigh in on the common problems people have with skinny jeans and offer solutions.

Keep scrolling to check out five expert tips that’ll help you find your true blue (or blues).

These two beautiful flat shoe styles are versatile and can be dressed up or down. While French women will pair them with different items, dresses and jeans are their go-to picks to pair with flats.

  • The $50 Shorts I’m Buying to Mimic Hailey Bieber’s Most-Worn Outfit of 2023

The $50 Shorts I’m Buying to Mimic Hailey Bieber’s Most-Worn Outfit of 2023

    [ad_1]

Given how often I check street style blogs and photo agency pages, I pretty much see every single outfit worn by celebrities, and of them all, Hailey Bieber‘s the one I spot the most. But this summer, I’ve found it hard to keep track of all of her looks, particularly because they all sort of look the same. You see, while her nighttime ‘fits have been all across the board, her daytime ones have mostly revolved around one item: her Denim by Orlee vintage 501 Levi’s shorts.

So far this summer, I’ve counted five occasions that Bieber’s worn the baggy, low-rise cutoffs, whether she’s posted the outfits herself on Instagram or been photographed wearing them around NYC and LA. On most of them, she’s paired the shorts with her go-to white Leset cropped Kelly tee, a black-and-gold The Row belt, white socks, and either loafers or Adidas Sambas. To dress up the shorts, she added a Khaite strapless corset top on one occasion, and on others, statement earrings and designer bags, including Bottega Veneta’s Jodie and Saint Laurent’s Le 5 à 7 tote.

With practically all of the fashion world to choose from, it says a lot that Bieber can’t stop coming back for more with these Levi’s shorts. Sadly, Denim By Orlee’s offering of similar styles is limited right now. That’s why I searched the web and found a stellar on-sale alt from Urban Outfitters’ Urban Renewal line that’ll get you the look in no time. Scroll down to see Bieber’s shorts looks and shop the $50 jorts.

Welcome to Your Fall Denim Download: 5 Trends Defining the Season

    [ad_1]

Fall is coming in hot and so are the new fall denim trends that will have a hold on the season to come. While jeans are 100% the mainstays in our closets, they’re certainly not immune to the ebb and flow of the trend cycle. Personally, I don’t buy new jeans every single season—my shopping cadence tends to be lean more yearly—but I always like to keep up-to-date on what the key silhouettes of the season are so I can either pull something out of my closet that aligns with them or perhaps dabble in a new style if I’m so inspired.

This season, there’s five new trends that we think you should be aware of. We saw these coming down the runway in the fall ’23 collections but seeing them on Instagram and in the new arrivals sections has only solidified their importance. The big themes to know? Jeans are getting longer and baggier, waistlines are dipping lower, and the proclivity towards the early aughts is only growing stronger. With that, continue on to discover the details of each silhouette, where it appeared in the fall collections and our favorite shopping picks.

Dua Lipa Wore the No-Stress Summer Outfit That’ll Transition Perfectly Into Fall

    [ad_1]

Though I’m all for Dua Lipa’s extravagant ensembles—ranging from barely-there bikinis to crystal-mesh Versace dresses—sometimes even the most out-there dressers fall back on classic uniforms. And just like all of her showy outfits, the “Levitating” singer’s low-key ones are impressive to say the least. Case in point: Lipa’s look for a night out at London’s Chiltern Firehouse, a celebrity hot spot in Marylebone.

For a date with her boyfriend, French director Romain Gavras, Lipa tucked a crisp white button-down shirt into what appear to be classic Levi’s jeans, dressing up the combo with Maison Margiela Mary Jane flats, a Gucci Jackie bag, and statement Missoni earrings. Though not exactly new or shocking, the easy pairing is just the kind of outfit we need to store away in our minds right now with summer beginning to turn into fall, stirring up the need for transitional styling ideas that will always look chic. Below, see just how effortless it is to get Lipa’s look, which can be worn right now through the fall and even winter with just a few simple tweaks.
