Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar challenges Jacqueline Fernandez’s Delhi-Patiala HC plea; old chat gets leaked

It was last week that Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez approached the Delhi High Court to quash the money laundering case. In the latest update, the alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has challenged the actress’ appeal over ‘intimidating’ letters sent to her by him, according to a submission in Delhi’s Patiala House Court on December 22.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar moves plea against Jacqueline Fernandez

According to a report published in India Today, in the latest application, Sukesh Chandrashekhar called the allegations of Jacqueline Fernandez ‘completely false’ which claimed to have ‘have outraged her modesty or tried to threaten or intimidate her’. According to Sukesh, the actress has filed the plea with a ‘malafide intention’.

He further stated in a plea, “As per Jail Rule 585 I am entitled to write letters to friends, family, relations and legal advisors, I am also covered by the Right to Express and freedom of speech, even though I am incarcerated as per Law and the Constitution.”

In addition to this, Sukesh also mentioned that he is ‘ready to undergo any punishment’ if any of his letters sent to the actress are found to be ‘threatening and intimidating’ as he questioned why Jacqueline didn’t approach the High Court last year when he had sent her multiple letters.

Old leaked chat claims Sukesh cracked a deal with Luv Ranjan as a gift for the actress

An exclusive report by India Today also claims to access the messages sent by the conman to the actress. The report states that Sukesh despite being in jail in connection with a Rs. 200 crore money laundering case sent numerous messages to the actress through WhatsApp by using a fake number.

In one of the messages, the conman even asked the actress to appear ‘in black clothes’ during the hearing. A message dated June 30, 2023 reads, “Baby this month on 6th, we have a court date and if you are produced by VC please wear a black kurta or wear anything in black, so that I know you have seen all my messages, and you Love ?? So baby and missing you Ton I love you baby girl, you are mine mine forever…”

The message by the conman further addressed the trolls upsetting the actress for ‘adding an extra E’ in her name. However, conman encouraged Jacqueline by calling her ‘princess’ and ‘rockstar’, “you are going to be a superstar…,” read the message.

According to reports, the conman was upset over the actress not fulfilling his wish by wearing black outfits during the following court hearing as he messaged, “Baby, it’s really upsetting to see you did not wear Black on that day during the court hearing baby I really don’t understand what are you even thinking, running away or avoiding me is not going to help in any way has it is only going to be me by your side in all from of ways am again repeating am ready to do everything that you need without any issues…”

The message continues with Sukesh asking the actress to wear ‘a multicolored Kurta or just a plain white shirt without any design.’ Furthermore, a message by the con man also claimed that he has cracked a deal with the director Luv Ranjan as a mark of gift to her.

“Know in the next couple of the weeks Luv Ranjan will approach you for a movie I have sorted out the deal with him, it is going to be very big one for you baby and this the gift from side my baby girl for you baby along with Lillys I had sent you a message card hope you liked that and hope you saw it,” the message read.

In a statement accessed by India Today, Jacqueline has told Delhi’s Patiala House court that conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has ‘played with my emotions and made my life hell.’ She further added ‘Sukesh misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood.’

Sukesh was introduced to the actress as a government official
Jacqueline has claimed that Sukesh was introduced to her as a government official by Pinky Irani and she felt that somebody was spoofing her. Talking about their meeting, the actress said that the two started speaking after Pinky convinced her makeup artist, Shaan Muthathil, that Sukesh was an important official from the Home Ministry.

Sukesh claimed former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha was his aunt
Jacqueline was quoted saying, “He introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and claimed J Jayalalitha was his aunt. Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in South India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies.”

Jacqueline revealed Sukesh used to call her from jail
Jacqueline revealed that she and Sukesh used to talk at least three times a day on calls and video calls. She said, ‘He used to call in the morning before my shoot, through the day, and at times at night before she would go to sleep.’ ‘He never mentioned he was calling from jail or that he was in jail. He used to call from one corner with a curtain and a sofa in the background,’ the actress further revealed.

They last contacted on August 8, 2021
The actress claimed that she and Conman Sukesh last spoke on call on August 8, 2021, and he did not contact her after that day. ‘I later got to know he was arrested for impersonating senior government officials of the Home Ministry and the law ministry,’ said Jacqueline.

Pinky Irani was aware of everything
Jacqueline stated that Sukesh and Pinky always had the intention of cheating on her. ‘I was fooled by Shekhar. At the time I got to know about Shekhar’s criminal background, I got to know that his real name is Sukesh,’ she said. The actress further claimed that Pinky was aware of Sukesh’s background and everything but she never revealed this to her.

Private jet travel
Jacqueline revealed that when she had to travel to Kerala, Sukesh asked her to use his private jet. He also organized a helicopter ride for her in Kerala. She said, ‘On the two occasions when I met him in Chennai, I travelled in his private jet.’

About the case

Since December 2021, Jacqueline has been under the scanner for being involved in a money laundering case involving Rs 200 crore. The investigation is being carried out by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) who questioned the actress. In August 2022, the Enforcement Directorate named Jacqueline Fernandez as an accused in the same money-laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Cirkus Monday Box Office: Rohit Shetty’s comedy led by Ranveer Singh crashes post discouraging opening weekend

This Christmas weekend was a mixed bag at the box office and Cirkus was the weak link as the numbers that came in have been downright disappointing. Cirkus recorded a dismal weekend of Rs. 20.25 cr nett. The collections are lower than the opening day of Rohit Shetty’s recent films like Sooryavanshi and Simmba while it is the second lowest opening of Ranveer Singh in recent times, only behind Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which was a small film in terms of production.

Cirkus Monday Box Office Collection:

Cirkus crashed on Monday which pretty much also seals the fate of the film. Cirkus earned an estimated Rs. 2.25 – 2.75 cr nett on its fourth day and these numbers are something that no one in trade would have expected. The numbers feel even lower because it has been unable to cash on the post Christmas box office which Avatar: The Way Of Water has latched onto, with numbers similar to its second Friday. Cirkus looks to end its week 1 lower than Rs. 30 cr nett and since it has not been accepted, it shall find the going tough further on.

Rohit Shetty has had a superlative box office track record and the dismal performance of Cirkus may be like a wound that will take some time to heal. Ranveer Singh was banking high on this film after the dismal result of his last two films but it seems like Cirkus may emerge as the worst performer of the three.

What’s Next For Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh:

Rohit Shetty next moves onto Singham Again, which is a film that is part of his cop universe. Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone will be the protagonists of the film and it is expected to release some time in 2024. Before than, his series Indian Police Force will release directly on Amazon Prime. Ranveer Singh just has Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani currently in his kitty. It is to be seen which film he works on next.

Ram Setu box office collection day 1: Huge numbers in mass belts; takes second best opening of 2022

Give how the advance booking had proceeded, both the trade and film industry didn’t seem too optimistic of the Ram Setu box office collection going into Diwali, but Ram Setu has managed to spring a major surprise at the box office, as the film has blown away all expectation in mass belts. The numbers for the Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer are pretty decent in A centres, too, but it’s mass belts that have really driven the collections, giving the trade something to cheer about, especially with a long Diwali weekend in the offing.

Ram Setu box office collection day 1 driven by mass belts

As per early reports in the trade and our tracking of the box office, it looks like Ram Setu is set to open at ₹15-16 crore nett, and could even go a little higher once the fnial number come in. From the morning shows itself, the movie sprang a huge surprise, registering an all-India occupancy of 30-35%, which, as mentioned before, was not expected given the state of advance booking. Several shows of the Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer ran housefull in UP, MP, Bihar, Gujarat and Rajasthan from noon onward while big-city multiplexes were decent throughout the day.

Ram Setu takes second best opening for Bollywood in 2022

Here’s what happened when conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar asked for chair to sit inside jail?

High-profile conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s plea to provide him a stool inside the prison was turned down by a Delhi court on Wednesday. As per the details, Chandrashekar, who is presently lodged at the Mandoli jail in Delhi, had moved an application in the court of Special Judge Sanjeev Kumar Malhotra stating that he has problems sitting cross-legged for hours and should be provided a chair or a stool to sit while meeting his family members, and doing other things because of his medical conditions.

His advocate Mayank Tripathi in his plea had said that the court should allow the applicant to sit on a stool or chair during family mulakat due to his serious medical condition.

He added that due to Chandrashekar’s severe medical condition, his doctors had advised him not to squat or bend forward. But jail authorities, he said, had turned a deaf ear to his concern.

Special Judge Sanjeev Kumar Malhotra dismissed his plea saying that it was devoid of any merits.

In another application, the Supreme Court on October 18 refused to entertain a fresh plea by Chandrashekhar asking him to seek transfer from Mandoli jail in the city to any other jail, which is not under the control of the Director General of Prisons, Delhi.

The counsel appearing for Chandrashekhar said that despite several assurances, Chandrashekhar was being allegedly assaulted in jail. The lawyer also alleged that Chandrashekhar is being pressured to pay Rs 25 lakh per month in jail.

A Bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and C.T. Ravikumar declined to interfere in the matter.

On August 23, the apex court ordered that Chandrashekhar and his wife be shifted from Tihar Jail to Mandoli Jail in the city. It had passed the order on a plea filed by Chandrashekhar and his wife alleging a threat to their lives and seeking a transfer to a prison outside Delhi.
