  • Josie Gibson claps back after furious fans accuse her of ‘rubbing in’ her luxury Florida holiday amid cost of living crisis

    [ad_1]

Josie Gibson has hit back after she was slammed for “rubbing in” her luxury Florida holiday that cost thousands.

The This Morning star, 41, spent half term in Orlando with her son Reggie, six, and enjoyed visiting water parks, fed crocodiles, watched a rodeo and even took a helicopter ride.

The pair were accompanied by Josie’s two male friends, who she fondly refers to as ‘the Gunkles’.

Together, they also visited Universal Studios where they were given special VIP Experience treatment.

This meant they could queue jump onto rides and were given a private guided tour.

Josie gushed online: “I did say when I hit 40 I’m going to make it a year I do everything, especially when it comes to making memories with my little one.

“You quickly realise you never get your time back when they are this young and life doesn’t wait around for you.”

But Josie has found herself coming under fire after sharing video clips from her trip with her 778,000 followers online.

Some of her fans have accused her of “rubbing it in” given the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Josie Gibson claps back after Florida holiday

Josie has come under fire on several of her holiday posts on Instagram.

One angry follower blasted: “Talk about rub it in with all these holidays, I can’t even afford a day out on the pier. Please keep it private.”

Another added: “Rub it in, why when we are all broke, cost of living crisis!!!”

And a third said: “Wish I could afford this, you’re so blessed.”

Josie has since clapped back after others began accusing her of taking a “freebie” holiday.

“Let me guess…..another freebie holiday?” someone else wrote.

One follower also replied: “Lucky to not have to pay for all of your holiday.”

But Josie has set the record straight and insisted she paid for the trip herself.

In her first video, Josie offered a “travel hack”. She’s captioned the clip: “We flew into Tampa instead of Orlando saving nearly a thousand pounds per person.”

She also told her fans that “shopping wasn’t indulgent” due to the poor pound to US dollar exchange rate. Josie added: “It was practically financial responsibility.”

Referencing her “travel hacks”, Josie hit back at another fan accusing her of going on a “gifted” trip:

“If it was gifted I wouldn’t have any savings,” the TV presenter replied.

Josie’s second holiday in eight weeks

Josie’s holiday to Florida comes just eight weeks after she visited Thailand for a New Year break.

Again, she had shared video reels online of her holiday which included plenty of beach time, a zip wire experience and an experience day at an elephant sanctuary.

At the time, Josie had said: “Coming to Thailand has been so good for the soul. I came emotionally burnt out and the energy here is so special it’s making me feel ready for anything.

“I am so grateful for life love and incredible connections.’

But again, Josie was told by one of her followers: “I work at the NHS, I have no chance of affording a holiday like that.”

  • The Lady soundtrack packs in iconic songs – and one has a direct link to the royal family

    [ad_1]

The Lady, ITV’s drama about Jane Andrews, comes with a soundtrack that’s as bold as its story – including a theme every football fan will instantly recognise.

The four-part series follows Andrews (played by Mia McKenna-Bruce), who swaps retail life for Buckingham Palace when she becomes a dresser to Sarah Ferguson, portrayed by Natalie Dormer.

It charts her rapid ascent into royal circles – and her devastating fall, culminating in her conviction for the murder of Tom Cressman.

Its music choices are very intentional – and there’s more than a few songs in The Lady that you’ll recognise.

The Lady follows Fergie and her ex-dresser (Credit: ITV)

Why football fans will clock The Lady soundtrack instantly

Early in episode 1, as Andrews steps into palace life, we hear ‘Zadok the Priest’.

If it sounds familiar, that’s because it directly inspired the UEFA Champions League anthem.

In 1992, composer Tony Britten used George Frideric Handel’s original coronation anthem as the blueprint for the competition’s now-iconic theme.

Handel wrote ‘Zadok the Priest’ for the coronation of King George II in 1727. It has been performed at every British coronation since – including that of King Charles III.

The symbolism in The Lady is hard to miss. As Andrews finds herself immersed in royal ritual and grandeur, the same music used to anoint monarchs plays over her arrival.

The Lady soundtrack: Every song so far

Set across the ’80s, ’90s and early 2000s, the soundtrack leans into era-defining hits.

    Episode 1

    •  ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ – Depeche Mode
    • ‘The Only Way Is Up’ – Yazz
    • ‘Don’t Get Me Wrong’ – The Pretenders
    • ‘Zadok the Priest’ – George Frideric Handel
    • ‘Take On Me’ – A-ha
    • ‘You Got It’ – Roy Orbison

    Episode 2

    • ‘What Is Love’ – Haddaway
    • ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ – Tears for Fears
    • ‘Song 2’ – Blur

More songs are expected in episodes 3 and 4.

The needle drops aren’t subtle. ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ underscores Andrews’ brush with media attention. ‘You Got It’ plays as she settles into palace life with Fergie.

    Who composed the original score?

The original score was composed by Chris Roe.

While not a household name, Roe has worked across dozens of film and TV projects, including Trigger Point and The Salt Path.

A multi-instrumentalist, he blends orchestral arrangements with more intimate textures – fitting for a story that shifts from palace pomp to personal tragedy.

  • The Masked Singer’s Davina McCall divides fans with her latest wild outfit and hairstyle

    [ad_1]

Davina McCall has turned heads on The Masked Singer tonight with a jaw-dropping new look that got viewers talking before the first note was sung.

The 58-year-old judge arrived on stage in a daring lace catsuit with a nude underlay that left little to the imagination.

Her bold semi-final ensemble for the ITV show was matched by an equally dramatic hairstyle.

The voluminous ‘wolf cut’ perm, which is now all the rage, had fans comparing her to pop diva Cher in the 80s.

Just last week, Loose Woman Nadia Sawalha debuted the same hairstyle.

But jut like Nadia’s new ‘do, reaction to Davina’s hair from viewers on X was immediate and divided.

Davina McCall divides Masked Singer fans

Taking to the social media platform, one wrote: “@thisisdavina I need to meet your hair stylist NOW!!! Your hair looks amazing. Curls really suit you!”

    Others were less impressed, though.

One questioned: “Why has Davina got a mop on her head?”

Another asked: “What is on Davina’s head?”

While Davina was stealing the spotlight, guest judge Katherine Ryan also made a glamorous return.

Fans were divided on Davina’s look while Katherine showed off her bump (Credit: ITV)

    Katherine Ryan’s comeback

The Canadian comic, 42, returned to the show as the latest guest judge.

Katherine was heavily pregnant with her fourth child when The Masked Singer was filmed.

She showed off her bump in a stretchy brown dress with a dramatic array of pearl necklaces draped around her neck.

Katherine previously competed on the show as Pigeon in 2023 – while also pregnant. And fans were thrilled to have her back.

    X was full of praise.

One viewer commenting: “Katherine Ryan was an absolute scream as Pigeon – one of my favourite characters ever, definitely the funniest!”

Someone else added: “Welcome back Katherine Ryan!”

And a third joked: “Every time I see Katherine Ryan she’s pregnant!”

Tonight, the remaining acts – Toastie, Conker, Sloth, Moth and Can of Worms – faced off for a spot in the final.

  • Suss?! All the red flags that cast doubt on DS Sam Bradley’s true identity in After the Flood

    [ad_1]

After the Flood has returned to ITV, and series 2 wastes absolutely no time raising the stakes — helped in no small part by the arrival of Jill Halfpenny as the intriguing DS Sam Bradley.

We won’t be giving anything away here, but it’s safe to say the new run matches the intensity of the 2024 debut and then pushes things further. The body count rises, the shocks land harder, and just when you think you’ve got your bearings, the drama pulls the rug out from under you again.

Jill Halfpenny joins the cast as Jo Marshall’s new colleague at Waterside police station. On the surface, DS Sam Bradley looks like a steady, experienced presence — but from her ongoing scenes, it’s hard not to wonder whether there’s more going on beneath that calm exterior. And yes, we’ve got our suspicions…

Sam and Jo investigate multiple murders in After the Flood series 2 (Credit: ITV)

Who is Jill Halfpenny’s character DS Sam Bradley in After the Flood series 2?

DS Sam Bradley arrives at Waterside just as Jo Marshall steps into her newly promoted role, and the two quickly find themselves paired on a challenging new case.

Sam explains that she’s recently transferred from Newcastle, keen for a fresh start now that she’s divorced and living alone, with both of her sons away at university. It all sounds perfectly reasonable — even relatable.

Introducing the character in After the Flood series 2, ITV describes Sam as: “A highly-qualified and experienced murder detective, Sam’s excellent at her job and immediately takes a liking to Jo, seeing something of herself in her. Perceptive and good with people, Sam also has a firm streak and believes the rules are there for a reason; it’s a trait that might just see her butting heads with Jo and her instincts for breaking the rules.”

By the end of episode 1, though, those neat details are pretty much all we’re given: Sam is divorced, has two grown-up sons, and plenty of experience. But the lack of background only fuels the question — is that really the full picture?

    ‘Who’s hiding something, and why?’

Speaking ahead of the new series, Jill Halfpenny hinted that murky motives are very much the theme this time around.

“This series is a potent mix of people who believe what they’re doing is right – even when it’s not. You’ve got characters acting from conviction, others behaving badly with full intent, and the law cutting through it all.

“When those forces collide, there’s an explosion. Sam and Jo are right in the middle, trying to work out who’s telling the truth, who’s hiding something, and why. And along the way, there are these juicy bits of information revealed that keep you hooked. Then at the very end? There’s a very unexpected occurrence that I think will really take people by surprise.”

Tense scene between Jo and Mackie in After the Flood series 2
Jo is secretly investigating Mackie in After the Flood series 2, but is she being watched? (Credit: ITV)

Is Jill Halfpenny’s DS Sam Bradley good or bad in After the Flood?

So, are we alone in feeling slightly on edge whenever DS Sam Bradley is on screen? Or is After the Flood deliberately playing with our expectations?

Sam is senior to Jo and presents herself as supportive, even protective, as Jo finds her feet in her new role. But there’s something about how closely she sticks to her — and how intently she watches — that’s hard to ignore.

Our inner cynic keeps whispering that Sam may have an agenda of her own. Is she genuinely there to mentor Jo, or is she monitoring her? And could she, possibly, be linked to Phil Mackie as some kind of inside plant?

After everything Jo endured in series 1 — where trust proved to be a dangerous thing — it’s impossible not to feel wary on her behalf. Even Jo herself admits to Pat that there’s “something off about” Sam. Frankly, we’re inclined to agree.

All the hidden clues pointing to Sam’s possible motives

1: Sam keeps a close eye on Jo at all times. If she’s not working for Mackie, she could be positioning herself to expose Jo’s rule-bending instincts. The big question is whether she’s ally or threat.

2: She probes Jo about her past relationship with Lee Ellison, appearing to know more than she lets on. Why the interest in Jo’s previous cases? And how deep does Sam’s knowledge really go?

***Warning: mild spoilers from After the Flood episode 2 and beyond***

3: At several key moments, Sam is conspicuously absent. When a potentially deadly fire breaks out on the Moors, she’s nowhere to be seen — later brushing it off by saying she didn’t see the message until the morning. That explanation feels a little thin.

4: In episode 2, Jo catches Sam searching through Pat’s desk. It’s a serious breach of trust and suggests Sam’s role at Waterside goes beyond routine detective work.

5: Later episodes show Sam in secretive meetings with Mackie, apparently feeding him information. But whether she’s truly on his side — or playing a longer game — remains an open question.

  • Masked Singer fans surprised as Gargoyle is unmasked as iconic 80s star

    [ad_1]

The Masked Singer‘s Gargoyle has finally been unmasked – and fans were shocked to see who it was!

The mysterious Gargoyle ended up in the sing-off against fellow contestant Sloth tonight but failed to impress the judges and was sent home.

The audience and panel were left gasping as an 80s icon stepped out from beneath the mask.

The identity of Gargoyle has been revealed on The Masked Singer (Credit: ITV)

It turns out Marcella Detroit from Shakespeares Sister was hiding under that towering costume all along.

Speaking to host Joel Domett, Marcella said of her time on the show: “It was hot. And it was very difficult to walk!”

Here’s a full rundown of tonight’s masked madness and all the details on this week’s guest judge.

The Masked Singer: Tonight’s Spooktacular Line-Up

Tonight’s episode was a full-blown Spooktacular Special – not exactly seasonal, but definitely entertaining.

Judges Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross embraced the spooky theme with gusto.

Host Joel stole some of the limelight himself, dressing as a spot-on Wednesday Addams.

Jonathan got creative as a futuristic Frankenstein, while Maya dazzled in a sheer black dress with dramatic shoulder straps and Davina spun a creepy spiderweb look.

Guest judge, This Morning, Ben Shephard was almost unrecognisable, perfectly nailing the brief as a chilling scarecrow.

It’s safe to say the hair, make-up and costume teams were working overtime.

This week saw the return of Can of Worms, Sloth and Gargoyle.

Red Panda also made his debut, after originally being cut from Week 1 for performing “Disco Inferno,” a song considered sensitive following the tragic ski resort fire in Crans-Montana.

Gargoyle Revealed: Marcella Detroit Steps Out

After audience votes, Gargoyle landed in the bottom two alongside Sloth.

Both performed again, but the judges chose to save Sloth, sending Gargoyle packing.

Marcella was revealed after chants of “take it off, take it off,” leaving the judges visibly stunned.

Joel admitted he was a huge fan, while Jonathan asked Marcella to close the show with Shakespeares Sister’s iconic hit “Stay,” which she did with no complaints.

Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, with reactions ranging from surprise to admiration.

One wrote, “Omg I would never have guessed Marcella Detroit!”

Another celebrated, “YES I CALLED IT!!!”

While a third commented, “Marcella Detroit is 73! My god she looks good!”

Not everyone was impressed though, with one viewer harshly adding, “Maybe this Marcella lady could sing at one point, but she definitely can’t now.”

    Other Celebrities Unmasked This Series

Marcella joins five other celebrities unmasked this year.

First to go was Disc Jockey, revealed as The One Show’s Alex Jones. Rapper Professor Green came next as Teabag.

Last week, Yak was unmasked as John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols.

The show has also seen Anne-Marie perform as Goldfish from the band No Trout and comedian Matt Lucas appear as Emperor Penguin from the Antarctic Funkeys.

  • John ‘Johnny Rotten’ Lydon admits to painful injuries from ‘crushing’ Yak costume on The Masked Singer

    [ad_1]

Masked Singer star John Lydon has revealed he suffered agonising injuries while taking part in the show.

John, who is also known to fans as Johnny Rotten, has admitted he was left in pain “for a long time” after starring as Yak.

The punk musician says he hurt himself a a result of wearing the character’s giant metal-framed costume.

John has described the huge purple and orange Yak outfit as “so heavy”, adding that it was “crushing”.

His comments come after John was unmasked as Yak during Saturday night’s episode of The Masked Singer.

The Masked Singer’s John Lydon opens up about injuries

John spoke candidly about his Masked Singer experience during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

As the punk icon chatted to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, he revealed he “put out” both his shoulder and his back.

But while he admitted to the damage it did, John appeared to take it all in good humour.

John explained: “It was so difficult, that costume. The weight of it.

“It felt like a steel frame but was aluminium. I practiced with that and the handlebars for the head, but once the material went on, it became so heavy.

“It put my shoulder out. And I had backaches for a long time. You’re standing there for 25 minutes with all that weight crushing you.

“You also can’t see nothing in there!”

John also revealed producers offered him several character choices before filming began. However, he admitted he said no to them all.

“They gave me options,” he said, laughing. “I said no to all of them.”

How Yak became his final look remains unclear. But John made no secret of how tough it was to perform inside the outfit.

“The weight of the damn thing!” he added. “You can hear me huffing and puffing to Let’s Get Physical.

“I had to try and find a different voice in there. But you cannot sing in an outfit like that.

“It is so hot and heavy. I put my shoulder out, put my back out. But it was worth every penny!”

How much was John Lydon paid?

John mused several times about his Masked Singer fee during his This Morning interview.

However, he stopped short of revealing the exact figure.

What he did share was what the money is now being used for. According to John, the pay cheque is funding a special trip with his Sex Pistols bandmates.

He revealed: “The money has now paid for us to go and record in Portugal and have a little holiday afterwards!”

Despite dealing with shoulder and back trouble, John spoke warmly about his time on the show.

He described the experience as fun and insisted he has no regrets.

“I’m up for a laugh,” he said. “Whole families can watch, it’s great fun!”

John found himself in the bottom two on Saturday night alongside Monkey Business. Viewers have since been busy trying to guess the identity of the female singer, who performs dressed as a monkey in a striped business suit.

  • The Masked Singer Yak unmasked as British music icon in reveal tonight

    [ad_1]

The latest celebrity was unmasked tonight in a shocking reveal on The Masker Singer.

Last week we saw four stars leave the competition in an epic two-episode launch weekend. First we said goodbye to Anne Marie as Goldfish, then Alex Jones as Disc Jockey before we discovered Matt Lucas was behind Arctic Penguin and Professor Green as Teabag.

So, tonight, we said goodbye to Yak as they were unmasked in the latest episode of The Masked Singer as John Lydon.

Whereas Yak sang That’s A Moray for their second performance (Credit: ITV)

John Lydon revealed to be The Masked Singer’s Yak in latest episode

John Lydon was revealed to be the Yak in The Masked Singer’s reveal tonight.

It came after Monkey Business and Yak went head to head after not getting enough votes to stay in the competition. Monkey Business sung Kesha’s TiK ToK and Yak followed with That’s A Moray straight after.

Earlier on, Davina admitted her guess on the identity behind Yak was on the err of far-fetched.

She said: “I’m gonna give you my ridiculous guess.”

“Assume I follow the herd, but this is not my style, so it’s somebody who is a bit different. Ham and pineapple pizza. I was like, oooh, that’s a Hawaiian. Then I heard, I go with the flow. I’m thinking water. I’m thinking Aquaman. I’m thinking, Oh, my God, it’s Jason Momoa!” she exclaimed.

Guest judge Freddie Flintoff actually correctly guessed that John Lydon – or Johnny Rotten – was the singer behind the mask. Jonathan Ross agreed and decided to vote the same.

Fans also felt like they were on the ball with their guesses.

One wrote: “John Lydon singing “Physical” by Olivia Newton-John whilst dressed as a Yak, I couldn’t love this crazy show more if I tried!”

A second penned: “Knew it was John Lydon as soon as I remembered his song in the Irish Eurovision show was called “Hawaii”.”

Fans convinced they’ve ‘cracked’ the code

As the competition gets into the full swing of things, The Masked Singer fans are convinced they have cracked the ‘code’ in finding out who is behind each costume.

While the show is only in its second week, fans are already hoping to beat the guessing game. Some viewers admit they become too impatient when it comes to finding out all the clues to work out who is behind the Masked Singer character.

The ‘hack’ includes using AI (Artificial Intelligence) to see if it can piece all the clues together. It was discussed on Reddit, with one user admitting they already used ChatGPT to see who it came up with for Red Panda. However, considering it’ll be a while before Red Panda is unmasked – or even performs due to a last-minute schedule change – we’ll have to find out if AI was right!

But not all viewers like the idea of spoiling the premise of the show.

“I imagine the AI would get it right occasionally, but it’d take the fun out of the whole concept, so… I’m not really going to be trying it,” one person commented.

Joel Dommett’s suit stole attention tonight

The latest episode opened with a full Sports Day theme, with Freddie Flintoff joining the judging panel as a guest for the night. The former cricket star turned TV presenter took his seat alongside Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross.

While the theme was embraced across the show, it was host Joel Dommett’s outfit that really caught viewers’ attention – and not all of it was positive. Many fans admitted they were left baffled by his sports-inspired suit.

One viewer wrote: “I’m sorry but what in the name of Jackets is Joel wearing?” Another echoed the confusion, saying: “What the hell has Joel got on? It does make me wonder what he’s going to wear next.”

A third questioned the overall styling, asking: “What on Earth are the panel wearing tonight?”

That said, not everyone was unimpressed. One fan confessed they “really want” Joel’s suit for their own wardrobe, while another praised his commitment to the theme, writing: “Gotta give it to Joel for going in all with the sports theme. Only he could pull off a suit that looks like grass.”

Fans ‘figured out’ Yak’s identity ahead of the show

Fans love playing detective to find out who are the famous faces behind the characters, and they may have worked out who is behind the Yak mask.

Speaking on X (Twitter), they discussed clues they know so far. In particular, ‘Yak of all trades’, ‘Leave your tech behind’ and ‘From dusk till dawn’. According to web sleuths, it could mean the celebrity works in more than one industry, reconnecting with nature or something with ‘no phones’.

According to viewers, this could all be pointing to Reece Shearsmith, Inside No 9 and The League of Gentleman star. The fact that Yak’s deep voice sounds like a potential The League of Gentlemen characters Reece plays.

Writing on X one opined: “Yak definitely gave Reece Shearsmith’s character Papa Lazarou vibes.”

A second agreed adding: “Yak is giving Reece Shearsmith vibes, sounded like some of the crazy voices he’s done in League of Gentleman etc.”

Piers Morgan’s awkward blunder left Pete Wicks stunned into silence on the latest episode of Lorraine.

The controversial broadcaster joined the ITV show to speak about his book Woke Is Dead today (November 20). Lorraine Kelly was also in the company of reality TV star Pete, who recently interviewed PM Kier Starmer about mental health and parenting for his podcast.

As the Scottish host linked to Pete’s imminent appearance, Piers laughed: “There’s my gym bunny!”

There was no real response from last year’s Strictly Come Dancing favourite though, he merely folded his arms and smiled.

Why did Piers Morgan mix up Pete Wicks with Joe Wicks?

Nothing was said for a long time after that. Pete is not necessarily known for his “gym bunny” figure or machismo, and Piers’ callout was ignored.

Piers proceeded to take down woke culture for the rest of his time on Lorraine. But just before heading off, he acknowledged the mistake he’d made.

“Oh by the way, a little bit embarrassing but I thought that was Joe Wicks earlier, not Pete Wicks!” he told Lorraine.

“So when I said he’s my gym bunny, I meant that he and I used to swap Peloton numbers because mine used to break all these records. He used to message me going, ‘How the hell are you doing these numbers?’ I went, ‘Because I’m an animal in the gym!’ I thought that’s who it was! Who’s Pete Wicks? Who is he? Which one’s he, are they related?”

Chuckling away, the talkshow host replied: “Please don’t ever change”.

    Who is Joe Wicks?

Joe, who was definitely not a guest on Lorraine this morning, is a famous fitness coach.

Self-dubbed ‘The Body Coach’, the bearded star originally garnered social media attention for short recipe and home workout clips.

The Covid-19 lockdown was when he really exploded onto the scene though. Joe led the live ‘PE with Joe’ sessions online for families and they became a healthy distraction from all that was going on in the UK.

One class in particular achieved a Guinness World Record, with close to a million people tuning in. By doing these, he helped to raise £585,000 for the NHS and was subsequently awarded an MBE for his work.

What has Joe Wicks said about his MBE?

“I’m so proud that I’ve done something which helps so many people,” he told PA at the time.

“To all the children, the parents, the dinner ladies, the school teachers, everybody who took part in any one of my workouts, thank you for being there.”

Joe emotionally reflected: “My childhood and how I grew up, if you met me as a little boy you’d have thought, he’s not going to go anywhere, he’s not going to do anything great.

“But I’ve turned it around and I really am proud I’ve become this person who’s helping people.”

  • ITV Pens Deal to Broadcast UK Horseracing Through 2030

    [ad_1]

Big news for horseracing aficionados as ITV has penned a four-year agreement to continue broadcasting UK horseracing through 2030. Fans can look forward to exclusive, free-to-air coverage of some of Britain’s top races.

The Expanded Deal Will Ensure Fans Have Access to Free-to-Air Coverage

The new deal will run from 2027 until the end of 2030 and encompasses 117 days of live coverage. The coverage will be shown across ITV1, ITV4, STV and STV Player, all simulcast on ITVX. The agreement also includes The Opening Show morning program.

As mentioned, fans can look forward to watching some of the top races in British racing. These include the likes of the Randox Grand National, Royal Ascot, the Cheltenham Festival and the Betfred Derby, among others.

According to the announcement, ITV will also include five races from the main site and an unspecified minimum for all the fixtures on ITV4.

ITV Horse Racing Is Enjoying Its Best Year Yet

The expanded deal is big news for horseracing fans who will be able to enjoy cutting-edge coverage, bringing them closer to the sport. For context, ITV’s racing coverage has been decorated with two BAFTAs (in 2018 and 2024). In the meantime, ITV members Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani have been named broadcast presenters of the year in 2019 for their ITV broadcasting.

The official announcement added that ITV Horse Racing is currently enjoying its best year yet. The division has so far generated some 15 million streams. Additional highlights show that ITV also hit its biggest peak audience of 5.2 million during the Grand National. Viewership of Royal Ascot was also on the rise, increasing by 20% year-on-year and attracting 5 million viewers. The Cheltenham Festival, on the other hand, hit its peak audience for the last four years, reaching a peak of 1.8 million viewers. Last but not least, the Derby’s audience reached 1.3 million, marking a new peak for the last two years.

    ITV’s Partners Hailed the Deal

Representatives praised the extended ITV arrangement, calling it a “vital deal for ITV Sport” and the broader UK racing sector. Niall Sloane, ITV’s director of sport, said that the agreement will ensure that the very best fixtures are available free-to-air on ITV.

ITV’s partners, which include Racecourse Media Group, The Jockey Club, Arena Racing Company, and Ascot Racecourse, were likewise pleased with the agreement.

Nick Mills, CEO of Racecourse Media Group, said that the expanded deal will provide British racing with “an exceptional level of visibility.” Jim Mullen, CEO of The Jockey Club, hailed ITV’s passion for the sport and said that the entire racing sector will benefit greatly from the expanded deal. Felicity Barnard, CEO of Ascot Racecourse, agreed that the deal was “very good news” and praised ITV’s editorial expertise and production values. David Leyden Dunbar, director of commercial strategy at Arena Racing Company, added that the deal cemented a 14-year relationship his team has enjoyed with ITV.

Last but not least, Brant Dunshea, CEO of the British Horseracing Authority, expressed excitement that the broader audience will be able to receive premium racing coverage. He added: “It is also exciting to consider what the future can hold in terms of working together around innovation in the broadcast experience, with growth in engagement with racing and attracting and retaining our audiences being a core area of focus for the sport’s industry strategy.”

  • Loose Women removed from ITV schedule in last-minute shake-up

    [ad_1]

Loose Women has been pulled from its regular Friday slot, following a last-minute shakeup from ITV.  According to the broadcaster, the hit panel show, which typically airs at lunchtime, has been replaced by live coverage of the races at Newmarket. A one-off change, the races are expected to dominate ITV1 for three hours on Friday, after commencing at 1pm. Helming the coverage, Ed Chamberlin will take fans inside the BoyleSports-sponsored Rockfel Stakes, as well as supporting races, the Joel Stakes and the Princess Royal Stakes.

Part of a two-day event, Ed will also return on Saturday from 1.30pm-4pm to present further coverage of the Middle Park Stakes, the Cheveley Park Stakes and the Cambridgeshire Meeting, as well as racing at Haydock Park.

Friday’s Loose Women has been replaced by ITV’s live racing coverage

When is Loose Women back on TV?

As for Loose Women, our favourite panellists are expected to return on Monday afternoon, with the next episode scheduled to air at 12:30pm. Prior to ITV’s shakeup, fans last tuned in on Thursday afternoon, with Nadia Sawalha, Kaye Adams, Oti Mabuse and Judi Love on hand to discuss this week’s headlines. In an emotional segment inspired by Wayne Rooney‘s recent remarks that his wife, Coleen, was forced to “manage” him during difficult times, Nadia reflected on her own relationship with her husband of 23 years, Mark Adderley. Both Mark and Nadia, who share daughters Maddy and Kiki, have spoken openly about his experiences with alcoholism and depression, noting how they’ve affected both their relationship and family dynamic.

Nadia Sawalha pictured with her husband Mark Adderley

Asked if Nadia felt that she had managed Mark in their marriage, the TV star said: “Yeah. I like to think more of supporting. I will do it as…Mark does have mental health issues, and I support him through that from a position of being so lucky that I don’t go through that. So when he’s very low, it can be very hard, but it’s not as hard as what he’s going through. So I will support him…I will…help him see pinholes of light when it’s very dark,” she continued.

Visibly tearful, Nadia added, “Sorry, I don’t know why I just got overwhelmed then. Sorry. I just have so much, you know I do, empathy for those who struggle with their mental health. It’s not just an easy swipe this or that. I am a rescuer, and when I met him, it took me a while to realise he had addiction problems. And him as well, he didn’t know. I’d already seen his heart and soul and his beautiful brain and all those things. If you say managing or rescuing, there was no choice because I was already there with who he was.”

As part of Thursday’s show, the panellists also invited Strictly star Ore Oduba to join them. In another heartfelt conversation, Ore revealed that he will be running the London Marathon to honour his late sister Lola’s legacy. Speaking about Lola, who identified as non-binary, Ore said: “‘It used to be the thing that scared me the most – to run the London Marathon in honour of my sister, they loved running, they struggled and then became obsessed with it.” Ore noted that the money raised will go to “Black people, queer people and women”.

Loose Women will return to ITV1 on Monday, 29 September at 12.30pm.

  • Martin Clunes’s ‘gritty’ 3-episode crime drama is your perfect weekend binge

    [ad_1]

Martin Clunes‘s compelling crime drama Manhunt has landed on Disney+, and fans of the detective genre might want to clear their weekend plans to binge-watch this one. The chilling series, which aired on ITV in 2019, sees the Doc Martin star portray real-life London Met detective Colin Sutton, as he investigates the death of French student Amélie Delagrange, whose body was found on Twickenham Green in 2004. Her death led to the manhunt and arrest of serial killer Levi Bellfield.

While Martin Clunes is perhaps best known for playing the titular cantankerous doctor in the medical comedy drama Doc Martin, I think his portrayal of DCI Colin Sutton is his best role to date. The actor is superb in this compelling series, which kept me glued to my screen over three consecutive nights upon its initial release in 2019. This series does not disappoint. Keep reading to find out more.

    © ITV
    Martin Clunes stars in Manhunt

    What is Manhunt about?

The series dramatises the real-life investigation into the murder of 22-year-old French student Amelie Delagrange, who had been living in Twickenham for three months when she was killed in 2004. It was Sutton’s investigation that linked Levi Bellfield to two previous murders, that of 13-year-old Milly Dowler in 2002 and 19-year-old Marsha McDonnell in 2003.

The series is based on the memoirs of Colin Sutton, a former senior investigating officer with the Metropolitan Police. At the time of the show’s release, Colin said that everything was done with “full disclosure” to the victims’ families, and that he had “real encouragement” from some. “They knew the story of the effort that went into the investigation and how hard we worked,” he told RadioTimes.com, adding, “And it was the best we could do for them because we couldn’t bring their loved ones back, but you can treat them with decency and respect and do your best to bring the perpetrator to justice.”

    WATCH: The trailer for Manhunt

Are there more seasons of Manhunt?

There have been two seasons of Manhunt, the second of which aired in 2021 and is available to stream on ITVX. In the second instalment, DCI Sutton hunts down a notorious serial rapist and burglar whose 17-year reign of terror left elderly people living in south London fearing for their safety.

The show dramatises the manhunt for serial rapist Delroy Grant, who carried out a series of sex attacks on elderly people over a period of 17 years between 1992 and 2009.

The series is inspired by a real investigation

What have viewers said about the show?

The series was a big hit among viewers upon its release and was described as “gritty”, “terribly heartbreaking and completely compelling” on social media. One viewer penned: “This excellent drama is extremely well acted in the main role by Martin Clunes. It’s three parts and I watched all three together because it was so thrilling and exciting,” while another added: “Superb, real-life drama. Some great acting, brilliantly and delicately handled.”

Season one of Manhunt is available to stream on Disney+. Both seasons are available on ITVX.

  • OPINION: I think ITV needs to cancel Sam Faiers and help stop the spread of her dangerous misinformation

    [ad_1]

It feels like every few months a celebrity decides they’re better placed than scientists, doctors and decades of public health research to dish out life-changing medical advice. The latest? Sam Faiers – ITV reality star, entrepreneur and mother of three, whose comments about sunscreen, antibiotics and cancer screening have left experts horrified and fans divided.

Faiers, best known from The Only Way Is Essex and her new ITV2 spin-off Sam & Billie: Sister Act, recently told followers that her children “don’t need SPF” because they’ve built up a “tolerance to the sun”.

As well as that, Sam also questioned the value of mammograms in detecting breast cancer, suggested her sister Billie avoid antibiotics for Lyme disease, and discouraged a tonsillectomy for Billie’s young son. On Instagram, these pronouncements were packaged in the language of holistic health, natural living and “listening to the body”.

One look at the comments on Gordon Ramsay’s skin cancer announcement over the weekend will tell you that people are actually believing that SPF can be carcinogenic and actually do you harm.

But the truth is, this isn’t harmless lifestyle chatter – it’s dangerous misinformation. And ITV has decided to reward Sam with a presumably very well-paid platform from which to spout it.

Sam Faiers is back with sister Billie Shepherd with their ITV2 show Sister Act tonight – but take any medical advice with a pinch of salt (Credit: ITV)

Time to pull the plug on Sam Faiers, ITV!

To confirm, Sam Faiers is an influencer, not a qualified health professional. Kelsey Parker, too, has weighed in on the row, revealing she doesn’t use sunscreen on her young kids, either.

Dermatologists have rushed to counter her claims, stressing that no one ever develops immunity to ultraviolet rays. Every tan, they explain, is a sign of skin damage that increases long-term cancer risk.

Cancer specialists, meanwhile, warn that dismissing mammograms in favour of “radiation-free alternatives” could delay early diagnoses that save lives.

Even her advice on antibiotics raises eyebrows: while overprescription is indeed a problem, suggesting people skip medically necessary treatment can lead to serious complications, especially when talking about children.

It would be one thing if Faiers were simply a private citizen sharing offbeat opinions with friends. But she isn’t. She’s a public figure with millions of social media followers, many of them young parents who hang on her words. That kind of influence carries weight.

Her sister Billie even admitted on their ITV2 show that she feels conflicted – torn between her sibling’s advice and her that of her doctor. When family members are swayed, what hope does the average fan have of separating pseudoscience from reality?

Sam Faiers on Sister Act in a striped shirt

Influencer vs expert – the lines are blurred

The backlash has been swift. Viewers and commentators have accused Faiers of being “irresponsible” and “naïve”. But as damaging as this may be to her brand, it also highlights a bigger problem in celebrity culture: our willingness to treat fame as a credential. Somewhere along the line, the lines blurred between influencer and expert, with wellness becoming the perfect arena for stars to reinvent themselves as guides, gurus or healers.

And let’s be honest, there’s money in it. From skin serums to supplements, the wellness industry thrives on celebrity endorsement, often at the expense of nuance or science. For Sam, presenting herself as a holistic voice of reason might feel like a way to distinguish her personal brand in a crowded entertainment market. But when it involves telling millions of people to ditch SPF or ignore doctors, it isn’t branding – it’s reckless.

Sam Faiers looking straight faced in a black jacket
The former TOWIE star is there to entertain, not educate on serious illness (Credit: ITV)

    Frame it differently

Celebrities don’t need to stop talking about their health entirely. Authenticity matters, and fans value honesty. But sharing a personal journey is very different from offering prescriptive advice that flies in the face of medical consensus. If Sam Faiers truly wants to use her platform for good, she could champion awareness campaigns, amplify expert voices or simply acknowledge the limits of her expertise.

Because here’s the reality: sunshine might boost our mood, but it also causes cancer. Mammograms may be imperfect, but they save lives. And no amount of Instagram-friendly natural living will change that.

Until celebrities like Sam start respecting those truths, the most responsible thing fans can do is treat their health advice for what it is – content, not care. And the best thing ITV can do is put an end to its relationship with Sam Faiers after this series ends.

Sam and Billie: Sister Act is on ITV2 tonight (September 2) at 9pm.

  • Ruth Langsford makes savage swipe at Eamonn Holmes leaving Loose Women audience in hysterics

Ruth Langsford makes savage swipe at Eamonn Holmes leaving Loose Women audience in hysterics

    [ad_1]

The news Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were set to divorce left many TV lovers open-mouthed earlier this year. Since their separation, the pair haven’t said much about why they parted ways.

Instead, Eamonn has been snapped enjoying a romantic getaway with his alleged new girlfriend, Katie Alexander and Ruth appears to be juggling her roles on Loose Women and QVC.

Although, Ruth seems to be distracted from the break-up, the star seemingly took a swipe at her ex on Loose Women this week – leaving the audience very amused.

Ruth and Eamonn were married for 14 years (Credit: ITV / Youtube / Loose Women)

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford ‘swipes’ at Eamonn Holmes

On the show on Tuesday, the panel discussed whether we should “hang on to old bits of tat” or get rid of them.

During this topic, Ruth chimed in and admitted she has recently done her own bit of decluttering.

Ruth cheekily remarked: “I’m throwing out a lot of stuff at the moment,” causing the audience to erupt into laughter and applause.

Beside her, a shocked but obviously amused Coleen Nolan also applauded her co-star.

For some reason, we don’t think Ruth was talking about antiques…

    Ruth Langsford news

Perhaps as a sign of union with the father of her son, Ruth has continued to sport her wedding ring since the pair announced their split in May. Although the telly duo appear to be unreconcilable, Ruth has proven that her ties to Eamonn aren’t completely severed.

Eamonn showed off his reported new flame whilst attending TV star Hayley Sparkes’ wedding on Saturday. The pair were in the company of A Place in the Sun’s Laura Hamilton and even snapped a smitten selfie to show off their loved-up outing.

Regardless, Ruth appears unfazed in snaps shared by the MailOnline, where she can be seen leaving a hairdressing salon in west London on Tuesday.

It was here that Ruth was seen wearing her wedding ring in full view.

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes news

Despite this, Eamonn and Katie appear to be in it for the long run as a source close to Katie recently claimed the therapist is “in it for the long haul”.

Katie met Eamonn on social media in 2015. Their friendship was sparked after she commented on a post and it turned into a conversation.

This time last year, Eamonn attended a charity fundraising event in West Yorkshire and became a charitable patron. Katie had worked for the said charity as a therapist, according to reports.

Since Eamonn and Ruth’s split in May, it seems his and Katie’s relationship has turned romantic. They even enjoyed a cruise together last month.

Meanwhile, as reported by The Sun, Ruth has hired divorce lawyer Catherine Costley. Allegedly, Catherine seeks to end Ruth and Eamonn’s marriage with a financial settlement.

Neither Eamonn nor Katie have confirmed a relationship though.

Furious Loose Women star blasts Phillip Schofield in no-holds-barred rant: “I’m really really cross”

    [ad_1]

Loose Women legend Nadia Sawalha has launched a no-holds-barred attack on Phillip Schofield as the fallout from his Cast Away documentary continues.

Last week, Phillip’s Channel 5 series aired over three nights, and since then the headlines have kept on coming. In the documentary he spoke about his ITV exit and the people he calls the “three [bleeps] of showbiz”.

Since then, it’s been claimed that he blames Holly Willoughby for his TV exit. As well as that, reports emerged claiming that, as they came to the end of their time working together, he nicknamed his This Morning co-host “the witch“.

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha weighs in on Phillip and Holly ‘feud’

Now, despite admitting that she doesn’t really know Holly or Phillip, Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has waded in. Speaking to The Sun, Nadia admitted she was more than happy to share her thoughts on the one-time TV couple’s feud. And it seems she’s very much Team Holly.

After recently criticising his televised redemption effort as “cringey”, Nadia said Phillip blaming Holly for his TV axe left her feeling “very cross”.

She said: “I’m very happy to answer this, in that I get really, really cross with the world when women always, so often, are blamed. I mean, I don’t know Holly and I don’t know Phil, I’ve sort of nodded at them going down the corridor. But I think just she’s had a really tough time.

“And I really take umbrage with people saying that she’s the problem here. So I feel really strongly about that.”

‘It’s nearly always the woman that’s blamed’

Nadia then added: “Obviously, I don’t know the ins and outs, but I know enough times when you look at things that have happened in the public, it’s nearly always the woman that’s blamed. She’s had a horrendous year. So yeah, that made me cross.”

Earlier this week, one source claimed: “Phil always took the credit for Holly’s success. And boy did he like to tell people that, including Holly. She, of course, knew he orchestrated the opportunity and was always very grateful. But it was thrown in her face quite a lot.”

My Mum, Your Dad: Vicky in tears over David as Angharad shares her worries for her mum

    [ad_1]

My Mum, Your Dad star Vicky was left in tears over David in the penultimate episode of the Davina McCall-fronted series tonight.

ITV1 viewers have watched as Vicky embarked on a romance with single dad David. However, his hot and cold behaviour has sparked worries with viewers, as well as with Vicky’s daughter Angharad and now with Vicky herself.

Vicky was seen making her excuses as she left David and went off to contemplate their future (Credit: ITV)

My Mum, Your Dad star Vicky has ‘niggles’ about David

In Thursday’s episode of My Mum, Your Dad (September 26), Vicky was seen sharing her fears over continuing her romance with David. And, after a visit from Davina, excused herself saying she needed the loo, before ducking off to bed.

Her pal Jenny, who is dating Danny, went to find her. Going into the bedroom, she sensed something was up.

I’ve just got kind of niggles.

“Baby girl, what’s the matter?” Jenny asked. “I’m having last-minute niggles about everything,” Vicky said. “Okay,” Jenny replied.

“I think David is an amazing amazing guy,” she said, before revealing that, after talking to host Davina McCall and going “back and forth”, things seemed a “bit awkward” between herself and David.

“Speak to Angharad tomorrow,” Jenny urged. “Get her perspective as she’ll have seen everything and she’s not going to steer you off course, is she.”

    “No,” said Vicky.

‘I’ve seen David go a little hot and cold with her’

The cameras then cut to the kids’ bunker and Angharad.

“What she thinks I’m going to think is obviously playing on my mother’s mind a little bit,” said Angharad. “I’ve obviously seen David go a little hot and cold with her and now she’s overthinking maybe about how the conversation is going to go tomorrow and what have I seen and if I would give my blessing to her and David.”

Vicky was then seen telling Jenny about her “niggles” again. “I’ve just got kind of niggles,” she said.

“They’re there. They’re there for a reason. Don’t ignore them,” Jenny warned her. “Certainly tomorrow have that conversation with your daughter, how you’re feeling.”

Vicky was brought to tears during the penultimate episode of the series (Credit: ITV)

‘She’s worried it’s not the right thing for me’

Speaking to camera in the show’s diary-style room, Vicky was seen breaking down in tears.

“I think I was thinking, oh gosh, maybe Angharad won’t give her blessing because she’s worried it’s not the right thing for me. Because Angharad knows me better than anybody else would.”

At the end of the episode, David was (finally) seen going in search of Vicky.

“I did notice you disappear and I was wondering where you were going to be,” he said, finding her in bed. “But don’t worry, you’re good,” he tried to reassure her. “No need to feel uneasy.”

However, a preview of tomorrow’s ep showed that it’s David who should be feeling uneasy.

‘How do you feel about my mother?’

Meeting with Angharad, before the ceremony to decide if she gives the couple her blessing, Vicky’s daughter is seen telling David: “I want somebody who’s sure of my mother, you know.

“How do you feel about my mother?” she is seen asking him.

She then heads to the diary-style room. “I do really like David, I think he’s a great guy,” she is seen saying. “But people can be great and you can really like someone but that doesn’t always mean they’re right for each other.”

The My Mum, Your Dad final is on tomorrow night (September 27) at 9pm on ITV1. Or you can watch the entire series on ITVX now.

Irvine Welsh’s Crime returned to ITV with its second season on Wednesday night – and viewers have taken to social media with their verdict.

The series, based on Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh’s novel of the same name, stars Dougray Scott as troubled detective Ray Lennox, who returns to his job at Edinburgh Serious Crimes after suffering a breakdown triggered by bringing down child killer, Mr Confectioner.

Viewers were hooked by the series debut, with one person praising the show on social media. “Delighted that #Crime series 2 is on TV again by @IrvineWelsh. Top series,” they penned, while another added: “Probably the best thing I’ve watched in years.”

Applauding Dougray’s performance in the show, another fan penned: “Dougray Scott is on fire again. #Crime series 2 starts with a bang,” while a fourth remarked: “Irvine Welsh Crime is brilliant. Excellent acting by Dougray Scott too.”

The second season opens with DI Lennox back at work after bringing Mr Confectioner to justice. But a lot has changed since he’s been away, with Amanda Drummond having been promoted and two new faces in the team in the form of devious Tommy Stark and failed actor Norrie Erskine.

The synopsis continues: “When one of Lennox’s former colleagues is attacked, Lennox and Drummond quickly realise that all is not as it seems as they become embroiled in a case about vengeance, identity and social justice. The attack is linked to a gruesome attempted murder on a high-ranking establishment figure at a posh hotel which has been hushed up from the police.

    Fans praised the opening episode

“As Lennox investigates via Edinburgh’s saunas, crack dens and poshest hotels, he finds doors slammed in his face; there is an Establishment cover up at play. It’s not until the killer targets one of Lennox’s own team that the pieces start to fall into place. Tracing the motivation back to an unsavoury incident 30 years ago, Lennox begins to realise that there is more to this case than meets the eye and the killer he has been chasing may not be the driving force behind these murders after all.”

Dougray stars in the drama alongside Joanna Vanderham as DS Amanda Drummond, Ken Stott as CS Bob Toal, John Simm as Gareth Horsborough and Derek Riddell as Richie Gulliver.

Dougray’s son Gabriel, 19, also appears in the show as Fraser. On working with his son, Dougray told ITV: “It’s really interesting watching him work and he won that role. He went up against a lot of other actors and he won it. He’s at the beginning of his career but he’s a sensitive actor with a great sense of vulnerability that he brought to the character of Fraser.”

Irvine Welsh’s Crime continues on Thursday 8 August at 9pm on ITV.

  • Dermot O’Leary “can’t believe his luck” as he lands big-budget TV show away from This Morning

In a surprising career move, This Morning host Dermot O’Leary is set to take a giant leap away from his familiar home of ITV.

Dermot will be hosting a big-budget game show titled Silence Is Golden alongside comedian Katherine Ryan. The show will premiere on UKTV’s Dave next year.

This show marks a significant shift for Dermot, who has been a staple on ITV for an impressive 17 years.

Silence Is Golden kicks off with the audience being entrusted with £250,000 to share.

However, there’s a catch. In order to keep the money, they must keep a straight face while 30 comedians do their best to break them into giggles.

Reflecting on this new opportunity, Dermot shared his enthusiasm with The Sun.

“When a show like this falls into your lap, you can’t believe your luck. Looking forward to having lots of fun,” the presenter gushed.

Executive producer Richard Bacon described the upcoming show as: “The feeling when you’re not allowed to laugh at a funeral? It’s that – the game show.”

Meanwhile, this new career venture adds Dermot to the list of ITV regulars who have branched out to other networks. These also include Amanda Holden and Holly Willoughby. Amanda presented I Can See Your Voice on BBC, whilst Holly will present the upcoming series Bear Hunt on Netflix.

    Dermot on This Morning

The host typically presents the ITV daytime show on Fridays alongside co-host Alison Hammond. However, Dermot was noticeably absent on June 14, when he was replaced in the line-up by Josie Gibson.

Upon Dermot’s return to the This Morning sofa, the presenter was seemingly confused at the introduction of a new segment – where Alison and Josie became agony aunts.

And, when Alison prompted Dermot to reprise the segment with her the next week, he was bewildered at the concept. Cradling his head in his hands, Dermot groaned: “Oh God, no.”

Visibly confused, he continued: “Yeah so, we are offering our advice… what are we doing?! Alison, what kind of thing can we help with?”

“Let me tell you, darling. We can help you with a lot of things today. We can help you with dating advice, first dates, finding love again, finding your confidence, family feuds…” Alison was happy to explain, as Dermot still didn’t appear convinced.

However, viewers enjoyed the segment, with one gushing on social media: “Love Dermot and Alison… wish they could present every day they are brilliant! Look forward to Fridays.”

New Vicar, New Mysteries—Here’s What We Know About ‘Grantchester’ Season 10

    [ad_1]

Grantchester season 9 has been an emotional rollercoaster thus far. Tom Brittney’s Will Davenport said goodbye to Grantchester, Geordie (Robson Green), and the rest of his friends for a new job elsewhere in the country, and soon enough, a new vicar rolled into town.

This vicar’s a little different, though. Charming, handsome, distrustful Alphy Kotterm (Rishi Nair) has no desire to work with the police to solve the various distressing murders in Grantchester and its surrounds—initially, at least. While that may make DI Keating’s job a little easier, we have no doubt these two will warm up to one another soon. Thankfully, Grantchester has been renewed for season 10, so we’ll get to learn more about their tentative friendship as the show moves on, full steam ahead.

Green and Nair announced the renewal together, sharing their enthusiasm for the upcoming season but making sure to remind fans that it hadn’t been filmed just yet. You can watch the video below.

It has however been announced that Grantchester season 10 is supposed to start filming this July on location in the U.K. Hopefully, that means Grantchester can stick to its yearly release schedule, with the new season releasing in the U.S. on PBS Masterpiece somewhere in the summer of 2025, with episodes to follow on ITV in the U.K. later that year.

Joining Robson Green and Rishi Nair for Grantchester season 10 are a few fan-favorite and familiar faces, including:

    • Al Weaver as Leonard Finch
    • Tessa Peake-Jones as Mrs. C
    • Kacey Ainsworth as Cathy Keating
    • Oliver Dimsdale as Daniel Marlowe
    • Nick Brimble as Jack Chapman
    • Bradley Hall as Larry Peters
    • Melissa Johns as Miss Scott

As there are a few episodes left in Grantchester season 9—you can catch new installments on Sundays on PBS Masterpiece—it’s hard to say what the new season will be about, but there’s sure to be plenty of murder, gorgeous scenery, and heartfelt moments.
