Robert Pattinson Wore a Skirt to the Dior Show in Paris, and It’s Gonna Go Viral

    [ad_1]

It’s a good day in the Who What Wear office when we can talk about a buzzy new menswear look. The latest comes courtesy of Robert Pattinson, who just showed up to the Dior F/W 23 men’s show in Paris wearing a skirt outfit that’s guaranteed to go viral any minute now.

In true expert fashion, Pattinson deftly mixed materials, combining a furry jacket, a tweed skirt, and leather boots to great effect. Remember when Brad Pitt’s skirt outfit set the internet alight? Well, I expect the same to happen for Pattinson’s unexpected outfit. Scroll down to see how he styled a skirt at the Dior show in Paris today.

Kate Middleton Just Wore the Most Gorgeous Camel Coat From Zara’s Sister Brand

    [ad_1]

Kate Middleton has a knack for finding incredible pieces, be it a Zara blazer or an Alexander McQueen coat dress, and styling them in new ways again and again. But of all the items she wears on repeat, it’s her coat collection that I find especially impressive.

The Princess of Wales’s latest outerwear sighting arrived earlier this week when she visited a nursery in Luton, England as part of her work helping with children’s development in the UK. For the occasion, she wore an orange turtleneck-and-skirt set from Gabriela Hearst, topped with a tailored camel coat from Zara’s luxury big-sister brand Massimo Dutti that, according to the blog Kate Middleton Style, she’s worn a total of five times in the last three years. Middleton polished off the classic look by adding chocolate-brown, suede boots from Gianvito Rossi, a matching Stuart Weitzman clutch, and a croc-effect belt by Ralph Lauren Polo. Though altogether stunning, her recycled Massimo Dutti coat was the clear winner of the ensemble.

Given its long tenure in the Princess’s wardrobe, her exact coat from the Spanish brand is no longer available. A slightly drapier alt for the camel style, however, is. Shop it and more timeless and chic camel coats below.

EmRata Went Braless in the Same $53 Top Gigi Hadid Also Owns

When not one but two supermodels wear the exact same thing, you can bet us fashion editors will take notice. Emily Ratajkowski just posted an Instagram of herself in the Storets Nevaeh Diagonal Top ($53) featuring diagonal cutouts, and her post quickly went viral with over 1.2 million likes and over 6000 comments.

If her top looks familiar it’s because Gigi Hadid also owns it. Last summer, she styled it with cutoff denim shorts and Birkenstock sandals for an easy-breezy look. In surprising news, the top is still in stock, but I have a feeling it won’t be for long. [ad_1]

Do you ever start shopping and realize that you don’t just want one or two items but suddenly crave an entire wardrobe overhaul? Because, same. On a recent visit to peruse the new-arrivals section on of my favorite sites, I came across so many strong pieces that I started envisioning a whole new wardrobe with these chic updates. More than anything, it was the wardrobe basics that really caught my eye and made me consider replacing the very versions in my own closet to start off 2023 on a strong note.

These aren’t just your plain T-shirts or basic leggings. No, the new closet updates I’m about to showcase here each have something special about them that sets them apart from the basics you could find anywhere else. Think trendy relaxed jeans, ’90s style LBDs, and even elevated-looking cargo pants that are taking over my heart (and cart). Olivia Wilde Wore the Latest Anti-Skinny-Jean Trend to Get Behind

    [ad_1]

As far as celebrities go, Olivia Wilde is one that we always look to for denim inspiration. She wears jeans a lot—even on the red carpet from time to time. Flared, straight-leg, baggy, skinny—you name it and she’s worn it. But for a day out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week, Wilde wore a style that’s new for her, and it’s one that always comes back around: sailor jeans.

Sailor jeans are basically high-waisted jeans that are fitted at the top and wide-leg toward the bottom. They often have details such as patch pockets, double buttons, and trouser hems, and they can very easily be dressed up or down. Like skinny jeans, they often have stretch in the denim, so if that’s what you love about skinny jeans but are ready for a change, perhaps Wilde’s sailor jeans will inspire you to shop for a pair.

Scroll to see how Wilde styled hers (simply, with a cropped sweater-vest) and shop some of the best sailor jeans on the internet.

Emma Stone Styled Ankled Boots on the Red Carpet in the Chicest Possible Way

    [ad_1]

We haven’t had a red carpet moment from Emma Stone in several months, so yesterday’s event was a real treat. She attended a New York City screening of When You Finish Saving the World, a film she produced starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard. (Mark your calendars: The coming-of-age movie comes out on January 20.)

For the red carpet, Stone wore a Louis Vuitton dress, belt, and boots. Maxi dresses and skirts have been hugely popular lately, but don’t call it a comeback—they’ve been here for years. I particularly love when they’re styled with ankle boots, as Emma Stone does here, which creates a perfectly proportionate look. (In comparison, I hate when there’s a gap between the bottom of my jeans and the top of my ankle boots.) Scroll down to see Emma Stone’s rare red carpet appearance wearing Louis Vuitton.

Priyanka Chopra Wore the Style Trick Kate Middleton and All Royals Swear By

    [ad_1]

The Royal family has its fair share of secrets, but their photo-ready styling tricks have never been one of them. Taking cues from both Kate and Meghan, who love neutral hues like beige, brown, and camel, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas was the latest star to demonstrate how easy—and elegant—it is to pull off the monochrome often worn by members of the royal family to highly-photographed events.

Clad head to toe in an ensemble from Michael Kors’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection, Chopra looked lovely while stepping out for an evening in, where else, but London.

Now that camel-chrome is officially  Chopra Jonas, Middleton, and Markel-approved, it’s time to put this sartorial trick to the test. Ahead, shop Chopra Jonas’s Michael Kores ensemble, plus a plethora of camel-colored coats, dresses, and boots at a variety of price points.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are on the move. Today they left Kensington Palace and headed to Liverpool, where they met with healthcare workers at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Kate Middleton wore a polished outfit consisting of a plaid Holland Cooper coat, navy Cefinn dress, and coordinating Gianvito Rossi shoes, but I immediately zeroed in on her pretty bag.

The princess carried Mulberry’s Small Amberley Leather Shoulder Bag ($1035), which is surprisingly still in stock at Nordstrom right now. It’s a favorite of Middleton’s and given her tendency to clear out stock, I would have assumed royal fans would be lining up to purchase it. The price tag is certainly high but if you’re looking to save up for a designer item in 2023, why not go for a royalty-approved one? • Ginny & Georgia’s Sara Waisglass Loves Maxine’s Perfectly Messy Journey

Ginny & Georgia’s Sara Waisglass Loves Maxine’s Perfectly Messy Journey

    [ad_1]

Ironically, doing just that—performing in front of people—is often anxiety inducing for Waisglass. In a moment of real honesty, she admits to me she panics any time she gets an audition. But Ginny & Georgia was different. Reading the sides for Maxine, she immediately fell in love with the character. “With her fast talking, with her oversharing, with her morbidity, she just popped right off the page for me, and I felt an immediate connection,” she says. “I’ve never had that happen before. I was just so excited to get into the room, and … when I got into the room, I said to the casting director, ‘How much fun can I have with this? How crazy can I go?’ And he was like, ‘Go nuts!’ I did, and I think that informed what Max became.” Sure enough, Max, in all of her energetic and eccentric glory, became an instant fan favorite.

A full two years passed between filming season one and season two (thank you, COVID), but as soon as Waisglass sat back in the hair-and-makeup chair, it was like Max had never left her. “I cried,” she laughs.

Though, it’s safe to say the Max we return to at the beginning of season two, which premiered last week, is far from the bubbly 15-year-old we know and love. Still reeling from the betrayal of Ginny and Abby and mourning the fallout of her relationship with Sophie, Max is heartbroken, bitter, and self-involved. But this season proves to be a growth period for her, a story line that also intrigued Waisglass. “What I’m excited for, definitely near the end of the season, is that Max is more sure of herself, and she knows what hurts her and what helps her, and she sets boundaries, which is really a beautiful thing, especially at 15,” she says. “I didn’t even know the word boundary until I was 22, so I’m very proud of her. I think she is very mature.”

But it’s not all doom and gloom for Max this season. We get to see a healthy new relationship for her. “The difference there is that, instead of chasing Sophie, Silver is just someone who sees [Max] and really likes everything about her. [She] likes her style [and] likes her energy, and it isn’t forced, and Max doesn’t feel like she’s trying, which is a really beautiful thing,” Waisglass says. There is also Max’s performance in Wellsbury High School’s fall musical production of Wellington (definitely not Bridgerton!), which proves to be yet another scene-stealing moment for Waisglass. The actress adds, “Max’s arc with Wellington is she’s letting other people take that spotlight, and she’s understanding her space and her role in her life. It kind of mimics her role in the show.” We also get to see more of the relationship between Max and her twin brother Marcus (“We have some really beautiful scenes together”) and, of course, the return of MANG. “That was also something that immediately attracted me to the script when I first read it because I love a good female friendship and representation of a good female friendship,” she says.

  • I Can’t Stop Thinking About Allison Williams’s Coats From the M3GAN Press Tour

I Can’t Stop Thinking About Allison Williams’s Coats From the M3GAN Press Tour

    [ad_1]

I know the point of a press tour is for actors to talk up their latest roles, but if I’m being completely honest, the only outcome I came to after seeing Allison Williams leaving press events all over New York City this week is that I want every single one of her many gorgeous coats—period. Since the start of the new year, Williams, who stars in 2023’s already-viral thriller M3GAN, has made appearances on The Today Show, LIVE with Kelly & Ryan, and more to promote the film. And each time she arrives at a studio, barring not one occasion, she’s been clad in a show-stopping piece of outerwear. Oh, and the looks underneath were chic too.

First up there was the black, cashmere Lafayette 148 coat she wore atop a plaid maxi dress from the brand’s Resort ’23 collection that she recycled for an occasion later that day, swapping out the dress for a simple black skirt-and-sweater set and leopard-print Mach & Mach pumps. Mere hours later, the former Girls actress changed into a navy-blue Tory Burch coat and a color-block set from fall/winter 2022. The next day brought an off-the-runway Sportmax look that I can’t do justice with words. Scroll down to see the look and more of Williams’s incredible outerwear from her press tour for M3GAN, which, if you’re up for it, is out now.

  • SZA’s Stylist Shares What It Was Like Working on SOS

SZA’s Stylist Shares What It Was Like Working on SOS

    [ad_1]

Can you tell me a little bit about how you started out and eventually found your way into both parts of your fashion career?

I grew up in L.A., and I always knew I wanted to be a fashion designer. When I was a kid, I didn’t know what being a stylist was. We had a family friend who was a costumer, and she was my childhood hero. Because that was the closest thing I knew to what I wanted to be.

I always wanted to be a fashion designer, and my goal was to go to FIT in New York City right after high school, but September 11 happened, but that derailed my moving to New York City.

I did a semester at SMC [Santa Monica City College], and then I went to FIDM. I went for fashion design. I had a teacher—I even remember her name; it was Mrs. Owens—and she was a designer. She actually had just gotten a job as head designer of Apple Bottom jeans.

She was portfolio teacher, and I remember she told me that I would be a good stylist. She had previously worked at MTV as a stylist, and she introduced me to what that was because I didn’t really know what it was. I interned for her at Apple Bottom after I graduated. Then I interned at a few different denim companies. I eventually got a job with a small L.A. brand as women’s designer, and I was there for four years.

There, I met stylists, and I started assisting. I did freelance design after I left, but I focused more on styling.

Jenna Ortega has become one of the most highly anticipated celebrity appearances on the red carpet since the release of the Netflix’s smash hit Wednesday in which she plays the titular character. This glamorous look solidifies the rising star as a must watch Hollywood sophisticate.

Along with presenting in this year’s award ceremony, Ortega could also become the youngest person to win a Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a musical or comedy TV series. Ortega has proven she can can rock a variety of looks, and we’re excited to see what she does next. If this Gucci number told us anything, she’s definitely one to watch out for as far as future red carpet appearances go.

This English Fragrance House Has Been Making Artisanal Perfumes for 260 Years

    [ad_1]

Over seven generations (and 260 years), The House of Creed has defined itself as one of the most recognizable and celebrated luxury fragrance houses worldwide. The brand started its unique journey in 1760 as a tailor shop founded by James Henry Creed in Mayfair, London, before shifting to high-quality, artisanal fragrances for men and women. After relocating to Paris in 1854 at the request Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie following the brand’s appointment as the official supplier of the royal household, Creed quickly became associated with socially prominent clientele ranging from royals to aristocrats.

The brand has since created over 200 luxurious perfumes, each filtered, bottled, and labelled by hand at the brand’s family-run factory in Fontainebleau. This amazing tradition is continued by CEO Olivier Creed, who is the seven-generation descendant of founder James Henry Creed. That’s right: The fragrance house has remained in the same family since it was founded.
