Taylor Swift Wore the Trendy Non-Skinny Jeans Every Fashion Person Knows About

    [ad_1]

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know Taylor Swift is currently traveling the country for her sold-out Eras Tour. But when she does manage to get a rare night off from her concert schedule, Swift’s destination of choice has lately seemed to be New York City. She was photographed going to dinner at Lure Fishbar in Soho last night, wearing a casual outfit that featured a pair of instantly recognizable (to me, at least) baggy jeans.

The jeans are Agolde’s Upsized Criss Cross Jeans, and they’ve been popular for so many seasons the brand has, at this point, released them in several different washes. Swift opted for a faded black pair, which she wore with a black bodysuit, saddle bag, and platform zip-front boots from The Row.

In addition to its Upsized Jeans, Agolde has released crisscross-style shorts, straight-leg jeans, leather pants, and denim miniskirts, further proving the popularity of the overlapping waistband trend. Scroll on to shop Swift’s exact jeans and other crisscross styles she’s likely to love.

Elle Fanning Wore the Pretty Shoes That Pair Perfectly With Anti-Skinny Jeans

    [ad_1]

As gorgeous as Elle Fanning looks when she’s dressed in lavish period garb on the set of The Great, her off-duty style is just as impressive. Classic and sophisticated, she and her stylist Samantha McMillen work in sync to make every outfit a timeless one, always adding a playful touch here or there to personalize the look.

Take her latest ensemble, for example, which she wore for an evening with friends at every celebrity’s favorite Los Angeles dinner spot—Craig’s in West Hollywood. For the occasion, she casually combined a black waistcoat and matching blazer with baggy, wide-leg jeans and the prettiest pair of point-toe black pumps that ever so slightly peek out underneath the bottom hemline. To top it off, she added a bamboo-handle Jil Sander handbag for that aforementioned bit of whimsy.

Below, see Fanning’s night-out look and shop non-skinny jeans and point-toe heels.

  • If Looking Chic Is Your Goal, Following These 10 Fashion People Is Step No. 1

If Looking Chic Is Your Goal, Following These 10 Fashion People Is Step No. 1

    [ad_1]

Inspiration is in abundance on Instagram, especially when it comes to fashion, but if you don’t know where to look, you could easily never find it, at least not the sort that fits your ideal aesthetic. With over a billion users, there’s simply too much to sort through and not enough time in the day. I, however, have spent the last decade or so dedicating an unhealthy amount of time to the app, slowly but surely curating a following list that fills my feed on a daily basis with the type of outfit inspiration the most elite magazines make you pay for—and then some.

Of course, I follow over 3,000 accounts—including editors, brands, designers, stylists, photographers, and on and on—and I, in no way, expect you to do the same. That’s why I went through every last one of them and handpicked the 10 that most epitomize the word chic. Copy their looks, sure, but if you ask me, the real way to embody their unique senses of style and sartorial confidence is to let it sink in by studying their feeds and then figure out how you can do the same in a way that feels personal to you. Sometimes, all you need is a little inspiration to get there, and these 10 fashion people supply that in spades.

Gigi Hadid Just Wore the Coolest Denim Shorts Outfit Trend With It Sneakers

    [ad_1]

Last week the temperature in New York City prematurely hit 80 degrees, and that meant that the Central Park lawns were full, outdoor dining tables were occupied, and shorts were dusted off. NYC resident Gigi Hadid joined in on the warm-weather fun (for the very summer-centric activity of going out for ice cream), wearing a denim shorts outfit that you’re sure to see plenty of this summer.

Hadid opted for a pair of cut-off denim bermuda shorts paired with a crop top topped off with a button-down from The Frankie Shop. She accessorized with round-frame sunglasses, a baseball cap, mini bag, and Adidas Samba sneakers—2023’s reigning It sneakers.

The pieces needed to recreate this Gigi Hadid-approved outfit combination are probably already in your closet but just in case, I’ve shopped them out for your below. I hope you’re enjoying the warm weather as much as she is.

EmRata Just Re-Created Carrie Bradshaw’s Most Iconic 2000s Look

    [ad_1]

It’s certainly an understatement to say that the original Sex and the City show produced some iconic fashion moments. All of Carrie Bradshaw’s outfits went down in fashion history, but one memorable dress caused a veritable frenzy: the Dior F/W 2000 newspaper-print dress designed by John Galliano. In fact, you could say that it went viral before going viral was even a thing!

Now, Emily Ratajkowski is showing off a very 2023 version of the same look. Photographed at lunch in New York City, EmRata wore Miaou’s Karina Dress ($295), which boasts a similar newspaper print and asymmetrical hemline. Scroll down to see how Ratajkowski re-created the iconic Sex and the City outfit and revisit the OG version.

Hailey Bieber and EmRata Shop These Basics in Bulk—6 to Know for 2023

You worked as a top stylist in Hollywood for years before launching Éterne. What made you want to start the brand? And what did you feel was lacking in the market that you wanted Éterne to fill in for?

I started Éterne because as a stylist, I couldn’t find good quality basics that fit really well, at a good price point. I had a huge collection of vintage items that I loved and would use for styling, but realized there was a real need in the market for perfect basics.

What was the first piece(s) you launched the brand with? And now that you’ve evolved the brand in the last few years, has the current best-seller changed

The first piece I designed was the Baby Tee. It’s based on a vintage little boys tee that I wore with absolutely everything, and I couldn’t find anything like it anywhere. It sold out immediately and is still our best seller. We recently launched it in limited edition colors: earth sand, olive and oat.

I know you already have such an incredible roster of A-list clients that includes Kaia, Hailey, EmRata, and the list goes on. Tell me about who you consider to be the “Éterne girl”. What is it about your approach to clothing that you think resonates so much with them? What are your celeb customers reaching for the most and how are they styling their Éterne items?

The Éterne girl is someone who appreciates how pieces fit- along with quality and comfort. Those are the most important things I consider when designing. We have a really wide range of customers, which makes me so happy. Women of all ages, sizes, and professions make up our loyal customer base. Our women really know what they want to wear, and they continuously tell me that they wear the brand every day, that it’s the foundation of their wardrobes.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Runway Trend I Always Find at H&M for $30

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Runway Trend I Always Find at H&M for $30

    [ad_1]

Even if you don’t work in fashion or its surrounding entities, I can almost guarantee you’ve seen a picture of a flannel-clad Kate Moss walking in Bottega Veneta’s S/S 23 show at some point in the last seven or so months. Casual and cool but wildly elevated, Moss’s look did more for flannel than Mr. Brawny ever could (thanks in part to other looks from the collection that featured the same woodsy staple). And now that spring has finally arrived, we’re starting to see the online popularity of flannel play out in real life.

Case in point: Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted walking in New York City with Cooke Maroney, her husband of nearly four years. On that walk, Lawrence was wearing a simple jeans-and-tee look elevated with Alaïa sunglasses, sold-out Adidas Sambas, and a gray-and-black flannel similar to styles that rocked the runways back in September with their simple yet alluring qualities. Though I’ve yet to determine the designer responsible for Lawrence’s perfectly cropped flannel, her affinity for luxurious labels like The Row and Alaïa leads me to believe it likely won’t come cheap. But then I remembered how large the flannel offering was, and always has been, at H&M, and I couldn’t resist looking for an affordable alternative. Below, find the $30 flannels I found at H&M that’ll get you Lawrence’s look at a great price.

Katie Holmes Wore Prada’s Prettiest Spring Shoes and I Found 15 Similar Pairs

    [ad_1]

I’m constantly impressed by Katie Holmes’ choice of accessories. From a quiet luxury It bag to a luxurious scarf to an affordable gold necklace, she’s a pro at finding timeless pieces that go with everything. In fact, she’s someone who often wears the same pieces on repeat while going about her life in New York City. Her style usually veers pretty classic, so I have to admit that I was a bit surprised—in a good way—when I saw the shoes she wore for an appearance on The Today Show this morning to promote her film Rare Objects.

The shoes that Holmes wore with a pair of baggy trousers and an oversized gray sweater were Prada’s crystal-covered kitten-heel sandals in a pretty shade of pale yellow (Prada calls is Pineapple). The sparkly shoes may not be akin to what she’s usually photographed wearing, but as someone who is obsessed with Prada’s crystal-embellished line of accessories, I hope they become one of those fashion items that gets repeat wears by Holmes. They’re kind of breathtaking.

Kaia Gerber Wore the 2023 Trend That’s Perfect If You Hate Miniskirts

The recent resurgence of Y2K trends has no doubt made some of you nervous. Not everyone wants to revisit low-rise jeans, bolero sweaters, rhinestone jeans, and butterfly clips. I don’t blame you! My personal fashion nemesis from the 2000s is the itty-bitty miniskirt—remember the ones that looked more like belts than skirts?

Thankfully, however, there is an equally popular alternative that’s much more my vibe: full midi skirts, as Kaia Gerber just showed off. Blake Lively Just Wore the Swimsuit Trend That’s Never Going Away

    [ad_1]

As much as it pains me to admit it, I don’t have any spring break plans this year—it’s quite a bit harder to schedule a getaway in adulthood than it was in my college days. Blake Lively, however, is living her best vacation life right now. And thankfully, I can live vicariously through her Instagram photos, which racked up nearly 5 million likes in less than 48 hours.

In one photo, Lively posed poolside wearing an ab-baring cutout swimsuit by Solid & Striped. Her exact swimsuit is sold out in nearly all sizes, but I found an excellent $80 alternative that’s fully stocked in a range of sizes (XXS to 4X) and even has special sizes for those with long torsos. Genius. The cutout trend shows no signs of slowing down, so it’s a smart purchase in my mind. Scroll down to shop for similar black one-piece swimsuits.

Kate Middleton Wore the Color I’m Buying In Bulk From Zara, H&M, and Nordstrom

    [ad_1]

If this season’s red craze isn’t your thing, perhaps Kate Middleton‘s preferred shade on the color wheel is. The Princess of Wales spent her Sunday attending Easter service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she re-wore (a sartorial tradition of Middleton’s) a royal blue coatdress custom-made by Catherine Walker. Middleton paired the coat with a blue Lock and Co. pillbox hat and a blue Emmy London clutch. In fact, the only item Middleton wore that wasn’t blue was a pair of neutral suede pumps from her go-to shoe brand, Gianvito Rossi.

But Middleton isn’t the only person eyeing royal blue for spring and summer. After a few hours of scrolling through H&M, Nordstrom, and Zara this morning, it became crystal clear the shade is having a moment. A bevy of options in the hue are being sold at all three retailers right now. Below, check out my favorites from their current offerings.

Kaia Gerber Wore a Very Relatable Flat-Shoe Outfit For a Night Out in Hollywood

    [ad_1]

If there’s any celebrity that is the embodiment of the chill L.A. fashion girl, it’s Kaia Gerber. When the model and budding actress isn’t working, her style is pretty classic and casual. And while she wears a lot more designer gear than the average girl, her outfits are usually pretty relatable.

One of the main things I think of when I think of “relatable outfits” is flat shoes. And it’s not just errands in Malibu that Gerber wears them for. Earlier this week, she attended a concert in Hollywood with Austin Butler and Camila Morrone wearing an outfit I’ve seen a million times on L.A. girls: a slip dress and flats. Gerber wore a black coat with it because apparently L.A. is cold now, and she opted for trendy Mary Janes (as many other fashion girls are doing).

While doing my daily scroll through H&M—it’s part of my job!—I came across the prettiest pair of shorts that instantly reminded me of a pair Kate Middleton wore last year. Not too short and not too tight, I truly think they’re the perfect pair of shorts that solve all of my usual gripes. Olivia Wilde’s $60 Mango Cardigan Is the Smartest Spring Basic Purchase

    [ad_1]

If you saw Olivia Wilde at a soccer match for her kids in L.A. and weren’t familiar with the fame of Olivia Wilde, you’d probably just think she was a very cool mom. Sure, she’s very glamorous on the red carpet and when doing press, but her day-to-day vibe is that of a cool mom. She exemplified that last week, in low-rise jeans, a white T-shirt, and a camel-colored cardigan that rings in at just $60 (on sale).

The cardigan in question is from Mango and there’s a matching bra top if sweater sets are your thing. As you know, camel goes with everything, and cardigans are the perfect cover-up for spring days when a jacket is too much. The cardigan is currently a whopping $40 off, so I advise adding it to your cart before everyone catches wind of the fact that Wilde loves it.

  • Vibe-Checking the $70 Tank Top Dividing the Internet

Vibe-Checking the $70 Tank Top Dividing the Internet

    [ad_1]

When you think of your dream top, does a basic white tank top come to mind? For Tiktok user, peachesandcre3m, it was, so she did what most eager shoppers do on social media: film an unboxing. In an 8-second clip with the text “unboxing my dream top <3”, a neatly wrapped mass of tissue paper is dramatically unfolded to unveil a plain white spaghetti strap tank top. The ensuing reaction was swift: “dream?” as the first comment reads with 11.2k likes (the second most liked comment “…a white tank?” has almost 8,000 likes). Amassing almost 380,000 likes, the unboxing went viral on Tiktok—but if one platform weren’t enough, the clip also found its way over to Twitter where the comments were just as controversial, “It’s like “I’m drinking my favorite drink and it’s just water”, ‘ said one user. Who knew a tank top could antagonize the internet?

Tank Air’s Studio Tank is 88% polyester and 12% spandex. There are no splashy logos like Loewe or Marine Serre’s fashion girl tanks. You may not also be able to discern whether it’s Hanes or The Gap, but those who own it don’t care and don’t seem to mind. “I remember seeing this tank top without realizing where it was from and thought ‘Wow, the fit on that is so good,’ says content creator, Aisha Farida. Living in New York City, Farida is a vodka distiller but also moonlights as an influencer documenting her daily outfits on Instagram and Tiktok. “I don’t take recommending a $70 tank top lightly, but I wear the tank tops on a weekly basis and am able to dress them up, dress them down, or wear them as an insulating layer when it’s very cold.”

Claire Robertson-Macleod is the power behind Tank Air. Born in Bangkok, the designer moved between London and Los Angeles before setting up Tank Air in downtown LA. The location puts the brand in close proximity to the abundance of artisans and garment resources that make the city (and downtown Los Angeles in particular) a mecca for budding fashion labels. Without much effort, Robertson-Macleod’s clothes have landed on celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid—the type of figures that can energize young people to sell things out. Of the tank’s divisive nature, Robertson-Macleod takes it in stride,”It definitely makes me a bit nervous reading or hearing people’s opinions about the Studio Tank as I’m quite a sensitive person lol. The tank was really a word-of-mouth thing—it’s a simple white camisole, it’s not eye-catching by any means but the effort we put into making it as close to perfect as possible has been recognized by those who have tried it and that’s really so gratifying,” she says.

Elsa Hosk Just Wore the Controversial Bag Trend Everyone’s Talking About

    [ad_1]

Succession is only two episodes into its fourth season but it’s already created an internet sensation thanks to Tom’s hilarious roast of Greg’s new girlfriend and her “ludicrously capacious” tote bag. The conversation sparked a thousand memes and inspired think pieces about what “quiet luxury” means to the uber-rich.

“I’ve heard you made an enormous faux pas,” Tom told Greg in episode one. “Everyone’s laughing up their sleeves about your date. Why? Because she’s brought a ludicrously capacious bag. What’s even in there, huh? Flat shoes for the subway? Her lunch pail? I mean, Greg, it’s monstrous. It’s gargantuan.”

This instantly-iconic quote brings me to Elsa Hosk’s newest outfit because she’s certainly not afraid to tote around a monstrous bag and make it look impeccably chic, Tom be damned. After all, context is important here—you might not want to schlep a large bag around a formal evening party, but all bets are off when it comes to practical summer beach totes if you ask me.
