  • Jennifer Lopez Just Became the Celebrity Leader of the Mob Wife Trend in Paris

Jennifer Lopez Just Became the Celebrity Leader of the Mob Wife Trend in Paris

    [ad_1]

Leave it to Jennifer Lopez to wordlessly remind everyone that she started wearing the “mob wife” trend long before it became the It aesthetic on TikTok. (See the below photos as a reminder.) She’s back at it. While in Paris earlier this week for Haute Couture Week, Lopez stepped out on two separate occasions wearing many of the glamorous items that define the look. Both outfits included fur coats (naturally), lots and lots of jewelry, and oversize tinted sunglasses—even after dark. Oh, and very expensive designer handbags, of course.

Sure, many other celebrities have been embracing the mob wife look as of late (Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski, to name a few), but Lopez was wearing it back in the early 2000s and never really stopped. To see her in Paris wearing mob wife–esque outfits was eye-catching, but she also just looked like J.Lo as we know and love her.

Sofia Richie Grainge Is Pregnant, and It’s a Girl!

    [ad_1]

This just in: Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband of nine months Elliot Grainge are expecting their first child together… a daughter! And given that she found out about the pregnancy directly after Milan Fashion Week, it’s pretty much written in the stars that the future Gemini will be just as chic as her mom.

According to the model and entrepreneur, who made the announcement in Vogue today, she found out “very, very early” about her pregnancy after traveling to the Italian fashion capital for the Prada show in September. “I was doing a really quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much of it,” she told the magazine. “I thought it was jet lag.” Hint: It wasn’t. When she got home, she took a test—something she said she did fairly often given that her and Grainge had been trying to start a family ever since their April wedding—and it came back positive. “He was so excited,” she said of her husband. “We both cried.”

Now that the news is out, Richie Grainge shared that she’s excited to start experimenting with her not-so-maternity style after having to hide the pregnancy for so long under various types of oversize outerwear. “Now that we’re announcing it, I have so many ideas,” she told Vogue. “I’m about to have some fun with it now that I can spread my wings and fly.”

Scroll down to check out some of the chic ways she’s been secretly styling her growing bump, and stay tuned, there’s a whole lot more style inspiration on the way between now and Gemini season, and we’ll be covering *all* of it.

  • I Always Look at Princess Diana’s Outfits for Inspo—30 Items That Have Her Vibe

I Always Look at Princess Diana’s Outfits for Inspo—30 Items That Have Her Vibe

    [ad_1]

If you know fashion, you know that Princess Diana has been remembered for her iconic style. So iconic that many Gen Zers, who hadn’t been around to see the life of Princess Di, are fascinated with her style and consider her an icon. Personally, I have always been inspired by the way she dressed. From laid-back outfits to her more “royal” moments, every look she wore encompassed a hint of casual classiness that I just adore.

While Princess Diana wore many iconic outfits I’ve re-created myself, I thought about what items currently on the market have that cool “people’s princess” vibe. After using some of Diana’s old outfits as a guide, I got to searching for pieces that had the Princess of Wales’ essence and ended up with 30 picks that I think nailed it.

If Lady Di is also constantly on your mood board, you’re going to want to take a look at these…

  • Kendall Jenner Wore the Bag Color Trend We'll All Want to Buy in 2024

Kendall Jenner Wore the Bag Color Trend We'll All Want to Buy in 2024

    [ad_1]

Ask any fashion person what the color of the S/S 24 season is and they’ll likely give you a quick answer: burgundy (or oxblood, wine, claret, dark red—whatever you want to call it). It’s the color that everyone has been talking about after new Gucci creative director Sabato De Sarno made it the star of his first collection. We already pointed out that burgundy shoes are coming for your closet when Jennifer Lopez recently wore a pair, and now Kendall Jenner has proven that burgundy bags are following in their footsteps (no pun intended).

While running errands last week in L.A., Jenner paired a burgundy The Row tote with an oversized bomber jacket, white T-shirt, jeans, and Onitsuka Tiger sneakers. The color of the bag was just as versatile as a black bag but made her outfit far more interesting and vivid (and expensive-looking).

Zendaya Wore One of Spring 2024's Top Trends to the Schiaparelli Couture Show

    [ad_1]

Every time that Zendaya goes into hiding for a while, her return to the public eye is never subtle, at least not when it comes to her outfit for the occasion. Instead, her reappearance always comes in the most grandeur of fashions, and this time around is no exception.

Apart from a few one-off paparazzi sightings, Zendaya’s been pretty off the grid lately, but she broke this trend this morning when she arrived at the Schiaparelli couture show in Paris donning what can only be described as a masterpiece. At the show—alongside her stylist Law Roach, her Euphoria co-star Hunter Schafer, and Jennifer Lopez—the Dune star chose a black, fitted mock-neck top decorated with tiny satin knot details along the sleeves that she paired with a floor-length skirt that featured draped fabric across the waist and a long tail-like train. She added fishnet knee-high socks and a pair of black suede Louboutins.

My Aunt and I Are Both Obsessed With J.Crew—42 Pieces We Agree On

    [ad_1]

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: My aunt is one of my biggest style inspirations. In my 29 years as her niece, I’ve never seen her looking anything short of pulled-together and ultra-chic, so it should come as no surprise when I tell you that it’s basically her job to help people find their personal style. She went into fashion merchandising and has since worked in everything from personal styling to buying. Almost everyone in our family goes to her for style advice, myself included. And now that we both work in fashion, I’m constantly texting her about everything from the coolest new trends to the items I’m considering buying.

I sat down with her to chat about the best J.Crew shopping. The retailer has recently shot up to the top of my list of go-to stores, and I’ve found more and more reasons to shop its chic and elevated staples, but I wanted to get my aunt’s take on what to buy there now. Despite the nearly 30 years between us, we picked out many of the same J.Crew items, which proves how versatile and ageless these finds really are.

Instead of keeping them to myself, I’m dishing on all the chic J.Crew shopping finds my aunt and I are losing our minds over now. Ahead are 42 perfect picks.

  • Inuit Model Willow Allen Is Always on My FYP—I Learned Her Beauty Secrets

Inuit Model Willow Allen Is Always on My FYP—I Learned Her Beauty Secrets

    [ad_1]

Allen’s perception of beauty has always been influenced by her cultural upbringing as an Inuvialuit living in the Arctic. “The things I always grew up to know as beautiful were handmade Inuvialuit traditional clothes, earrings, crafts, arts, and carvings,” she explains. “They were seen so highly by everyone in my community and always praised and recognized. I always wanted beautiful mukluks or mitts for Christmas, and they were the most valuable thing I felt like I owned.” In the first video I ever viewed of Allen’s, she was holding a pair of traditional beaded bridal slippers made by a local artisan and sharing how important it was to her that she wear them on her special day—even taking precedence over wedding dress shopping.

Another video features Allen doing her makeup with the goal of embracing and enhancing her Indigenous features. When I ask Allen about the most notable beauty practices passed down to her through generations of women in her family, Inuvialuit clothing and jewelry come to mind. She says she feels most beautiful in her traditional earrings, seal-skin mukluks, and mittens. “I feel like I’m really sharing who I am, how I was raised, and what my life growing up in the Arctic was. I hope my audience sees the beautiful way of life it is in the Arctic and in Indigenous culture,” she adds. The majority of her content, beauty based or otherwise, is focused on her identity and culture. Many of Allen’s videos begin with her introducing herself as an Inuk from the Arctic before diving into the subject matter.

  • Hailey Bieber Just Wore the Shoe Color That Literally Transforms an Outfit

Hailey Bieber Just Wore the Shoe Color That Literally Transforms an Outfit

    [ad_1]

Something that I think about a lot is shoe-color trends and what shoe colors to wear with an outfit. Something tells me that Hailey Bieber might be similar to me in that respect, given the shoes she wore earlier this week to change up an outfit. Bieber is no stranger to trendy colors, including the trendiest of them all at the moment: red. And I think it’s worth discussing how she incorporated red into her outfit recently.

Last Sunday, Bieber was photographed wearing jeans, a striped Loewe polo top, and a leather blazer. She topped the look off with black The Row loafers. Two days later, Bieber wore almost the exact same outfit except instead of the blazer she wore a trench coat and instead of black loafers, she wore the same pair but in red.

As you’ll see below, the addition of the red loafers really punched up the outfit and made me do a double-take, even though I’m used to seeing red shoes on people at this point in the trend cycle. My advice is to do as Hailey does and keep swapping your black shoes for red ones. Keep scrolling to shop some of my favorite crimson footwear on the market right now.

  • Kate Moss Wore a Completely Sheer Lace Dress to Her 50th Birthday Party in Paris

Kate Moss Wore a Completely Sheer Lace Dress to Her 50th Birthday Party in Paris

    [ad_1]

When it comes to party dressing, no one does it with quite the level of finesse as Kate Moss, the ’90s supermodel who’s responsible for wearing one of the most iconic naked dresses of all time. Her 50th birthday party was never going to be an exception. For the momentous occasion, which started with lunch at Brasserie Lipp in Paris’s Saint-Germain district, Moss hosted an intimate dinner at Laurent followed by an after-party at the famed Ritz Paris. While her low-key lunch was more of a “leggings and fur coat” type of affair, according to a photo posted on the Instagram account of Brasserie Lipp chef Pascal Jounault, the evening’s lineup of activities called for a far more festive getup.

While en route to Laurent alongside her daughter Lila Moss, boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck, and friend Haider Ackermann, the birthday girl was spotted donning a floor-length sheer dress made entirely of black lace. With it, she added a bevy of diamond jewelry, including bracelets and earrings, and a black Alexandra King cape lined with gold silk. Given the winter temperatures, she appeared to have swapped her cape for a much warmer piece of outerwear later on in the evening: a Penny Lane–esque Bob Mackie coat that makeup entrepreneur Charlotte Tilbury arrived at Laurent in, according to W

Below, see both versions of Moss’s 50th-birthday outfit, the likes of which will, no doubt, serve as party style inspiration for many years to come.

  • Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

Jennifer Lawrence's '90s Date-Night Fit Reminded Me That This Jean Style Is *It*

    [ad_1]

Another day, another date-night outfit reveal at Sushi Park for the celebrity set. This time around, the culprit was Jennifer Lawrence, who hit up Sunset Boulevard’s famous strip-mall omakase restaurant over the weekend alongside her husband Cooke Maroney looking effortless and cool as always.

For the occasion, the No Hard Feelings actress took inspiration from an era long before her dinner destination opened in 2006, when the street-style stars were Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carla Bruni, and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Wearing Bottega Veneta by Matthieu Blazy from head to toe, Lawrence’s midriff-baring sweater, belted dark jeans, and leather blazer were ’90s to a T. She also added a white tee for layering purposes, a thick brown belt, and one of the Italian fashion brand’s Tosca Intrecciato-leather shoulder bags. When I saw photos of the final fit, I knew immediately that this would be one of those JLaw looks that made it to best-dressed roundups for years to come. It’s just that good.

But what really stood out to me about the look was the same thing that always does when I scroll through ’90s street-style shots: the jeans. Back then, everyone had great jeans, usually perfectly distressed Levi’s. They fit just right and kept every outfit looking casual and uncomplicated, which is exactly what Lawrence’s jeans did for her ensemble. And the only trait hers share with those aforementioned muses is the fact that they’re cut in a classic, straight silhouette. Scroll down to see Lawrence’s date-night look and shop the timeless denim style that always comes out on top.

  • Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton Are the Screen Duo We've Been Waiting For

Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton Are the Screen Duo We've Been Waiting For

    [ad_1]

To your point, you’ve both been acting from such a young age. Cole, you’ve been vocal about the fact that it wasn’t always a choice. It was often out of financial necessity. Kathryn, you’ve likewise been in the industry since you were 4. How does that influence your current approach?

CS: When a lot of people talk about acting, they talk about the beauty and the passion of acting, and they forget that it’s also a job. The healthiest relationship is somewhere in the middle, where you can go, “Alright, I ideally want to do one for me and one for the coffers.”

KN: We found a lot of common ground, and we had some amazing discussions about it on [the set of] Lisa Frankenstein. I felt like I was so similar in my approach, where we take it seriously, but we don’t identify with it. I’ve been an actress since I was 4. Every experience I had has been like candy. It’s just been fun. I went to real school my whole life, so there was this experience of “Is school real, or is the job that I’m on set for real?” Neither one of them felt like reality. I was class president, and I did the commencement speech and everything. I loved school and being a kid who was super uncool and then going to set and shooting 15-hour days and then going back to school and having to take five tests. These are the things that have made me who I am, and I wouldn’t change anything.

I can’t help but think that this mindset is really unique to folks like you who have been doing this job for so many years. It’s essentially the defining experience of your life. Did you ever look back and maybe feel any type of resentment or regret about the way that the industry made you grow up quicker and faster than kids your own age?

CS: Great question. I don’t hold resentment. It comes with an incredible amount of privilege, and also, you do kind of know what you’re signing up for. I might not have had as much agency over career decisions as a kid, but it made complete and logical sense at the time as to why we were doing the thing that we were doing.

KN: What’s funny is I feel like I’m just getting started all the time. Every time I finish a project, I feel like I’m never going to work again. To piggyback on what Cole is saying, the longer you do it, the less you need to do your job. I don’t need anything to do my scene. I don’t need a coffee. I don’t need five minutes to get ready. If you say “action,” I’m ready. [Cole is similar to me in that way.] I wonder if it’s because we did grow up as child actors. The roles have required more of me as I’ve matured simply with age and material. Now, the material just asks more of you. I feel like I’m just getting started because now I’m at a new level.

I Found Sofia Richie's Trendy It-Color Pants on Sale at Nordstrom

    [ad_1]

Sofia Richie just proved that she certainly knows how to dress for winter in L.A., in case you had any doubt. Richie stepped out for dinner over the weekend in a chocolate brown outfit which she paired with black accessories (no longer a color-pairing faux pas, as you can see). To elevate her casual, oversized wool coat, Richie opted for a monochromatic look and went with brown leather pants instead of jeans.

Richie’s perfect pants are from celeb-favorite brand Agolde. The interesting thing about Agolde’s “leather” pants is that they’re made of a blend of recycled leather, polyurethane, and polyester. It keeps the cost down and makes them easier to care for than 100% leather pants. Given this and that chocolate brown is a major color trend this season (but is also a classic), these pants would be a wise investment—especially since they’re currently  20% off on Nordstrom. Scroll to shop those and more Agolde leather pants.

If you’re a fan of oversize brooches, Real Housewives–sized diamonds, and anything sparkly, get ready: The 2024 Emmy Awards feel like the Super Bowl of the award-season jewelry scene.

Despite the no-necklace agenda that dominated the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, this year’s 75th annual Emmy Awards had stars dripping in their Monday best. Hollywood hasn’t always embraced statement jewelry on red carpets in recent years, instead opting for jaw-dropping ballgowns and sleek suits to make a statement. Tonight, however, it seemed like stylists’ minimalist sartorial visions were thrown out the window: from Selena Gomez’s 55-carat necklace to Sarah Snook’s stunning Cartier pieces, there were plenty of double-take moments and a few jewelry trends we’re already starting to spot this year.
