Gigi Hadid Just Wore the Jeans Micro-Trend That’s About to Be Everywhere

    [ad_1]

Something has been proven time and again: If Gigi Hadid wears a pair of jeans, they already are trendy or soon will be. She has great taste (as we all know), but she also is one of those fashionable celebs who are influential enough to make people around the world want to go out and buy something. I’m saying all of this now because Hadid just wore the next big denim trend, and it happens to fall under the low-rise umbrella.

For a night out earlier this week in L.A., Hadid wore a pair of cutoff-waistband jeans. First of all, they look quite comfortable. Second of all, this is a trend that I’ve noticed has been bubbling on the market as of late, so it’s only natural that cool It girls like Hadid would be adding the trend to their wardrobes.

Hadid paired her low-rise raw-waistband jeans with a crop top (naturally), fun jewelry, and Miu Miu penny loafers, and it’s all just perfect.

Hailey Bieber’s NYC Looks Are Proof That This Is the Only Color That Matters RN

    [ad_1]

I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I enjoy more from the celeb set than when they go all out with a theme (I’m looking at you, Margot Robbie). And that’s exactly what Hailey Bieber’s done for the New York City press tour of her latest Rhode launch: the Strawberry Glazed Doughnut Peptide Lip Treatment designed in collaboration with Krispy Kreme.

For the trip—which included an event at the Krispy Kreme flagship store in Times Square, a stint on Good Morning America, a Ferrari-red Corvette convertible, and a helicopter ride—Bieber wore not one, not two, but three looks in a single day, all of which featured the color on everyone’s lips right now (just to clarify, I don’t mean the PLT, that’s clear): bright, fiery red.

First, she was spotted leaving the GMA offices wearing a drapey, red midi dress from Vivienne Westwood’s fall 2023 collection, paired with matching sky-high Maison Ernest sandals and Ferragamo’s buzzy Wanda bag. She then traveled downtown to TriBeCa, exiting her van in an equally drapey fall 2023 Marc Jacobs minidress in white, paired with the same Ferragamo top-handle bag and new Manolo Blahnik Maysale mules in the vibrant color. After a quick outfit change at Hotel Barrière Fouquet’s New York, one of NYC’s hottest new hotels, Bieber stepped out in a red, corset-style strapless minidress by Ermanno Scervino, styled with the same Maison Ernest heels from earlier in the day and a matching Courrèges bag. It’s as if she and her stylist, Dani Michelle, had a color palette in mind…

See every one of Bieber’s Strawberry Glazed Donut launch looks, all of which prove that the red trend from the fall/winter 2023 runways is here to stay, below.

  • Amal Clooney Just Wore a Grown-Up Version of the Mesh Shoe Trend

Amal Clooney Just Wore a Grown-Up Version of the Mesh Shoe Trend

    [ad_1]

Much has been said about the viral mesh-flats trend. Yes, we even wrote an entire story about it. The Alaïa and the studded Khaite versions have proven to be particularly popular among the fashion set, but they are far from the only options you have when trying out the look. Amal Clooney, for instance, just wore a much fancier version of the trend in the form of mesh heels.

Photographed arriving in Venice ahead of the Venice Film Festival, Amal wore Roger Vivier Viv in the City Net Covered Slingback Pumps ($995). So far this year, mesh flats have reigned supreme, but leave it to Amal to spark a new obsession with mesh heels. Scroll down to see her newest outfit and shop the trend for yourself.

Louis Vuitton’s Newest It Bag Has Arrived—and Cate Blanchett Already Owns It

    [ad_1]

When you’ve worked in fashion as long as I have, you know to trust your instinct that something will hit the big time. At first glimpse of Louis Vuitton‘s newest handbag launch, my fashion editor senses were immediately tingling. Never mind the fact that Cate Blanchett and Hoyeon already own the hot-off-the-press bag—the sophisticated design alone makes it worthy of this season’s most coveted accessory award.

Louis Vuitton’s new GO-14 bag is actually a relaunch of a bag first shown at Nicolas Ghesquière’s October 2014 runway show, hence the name. The bag features a padded crisscross pattern called malletage, which is inspired by the padded interior of Louis Vuitton’s traditional trunks. The bag is a perfect representation of the house’s commitment to artistry. “The creative process requires more than 20 different steps, including the utmost meticulousness on the patina to ensure a satin or toasted finish and to perfect the color’s subtle gradations,” the press release stated. How’s that for attention to detail? Scroll down to see how Cate Blanchett styled the bag and shop it for yourself.

Sofia Richie Wore Every Royal’s Favorite Shoe Trend on Her 25th Birthday

    [ad_1]

It’s safe to say Sofia Richie Grainge has had an eventful year. Not only did she have the ultimate South of France wedding, but she also cracked the code to TikTok fame in the process. Oh, and how can I forget her most significant achievement to date (wink, wink): her turn as Who What Wear’s cover star. Today, she hit yet another milestone, turning a quarter of a century old.

For her 25th birthday, she posted a series of photos on Instagram, including a beach stroll, a yummy breakfast, and cute cupcakes. Naturally, her celebratory outfit is what caught my eye. I immediately zeroed in on her classic shoes. They’re nude pointy-toe pumps, a royal favorite. It’s no wonder why Princess Kate, Queen Letizia, Meghan Markle, Princess Charlene, and many other royals all own the shoes. They’re polished and go with absolutely everything. Scroll down to see how Richie Grainge and royal women all style the same shoe trend.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Perfect Flats Outfit for Late-Summer Nights Out

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Perfect Flats Outfit for Late-Summer Nights Out

    [ad_1]

I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again: Jennifer Lawrence’s style is so wonderful because her outfits are somewhat accessible. I say “somewhat” because she wears mostly high-end designer pieces, but her outfits are classic and easy to re-create. That includes her latest, which she wore for a night out in NYC this week.

I’m a firm believer that flats needn’t be reserved for daytime, especially when they’re flats that are as elegant as the pair that Lawrence just wore. Hers are the Claudette Ballet Flats from The Row, and she paired them with a midi-length slip dress and matching jacket. To re-create this look, my advice is to wear a chic pair of flats with a slip dress and jacket (which needn’t be matching) and enjoy your night out in a comfortable, chic outfit.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has already stopped at dozens of U.S. cities, but now, it’s officially gone international. Last night, Swift descended upon Mexico City, where she’ll play four more nights before moving on to Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paolo later this year. You know what that means: New countries equal new opening acts, and none other than Sabrina Carpenter is now on the billing.

Making her Eras Tour debut last night, Carpenter wore a custom outfit by Ukrainian designer Frolov. “The new custom designs we’ve crafted for Sabrina are essentially twin dresses inspired by the pink gown from our couture collection she wore recently,” Creative Director Ivan Frolov said in a statement. “Seeing how she and her styling team loved this look, we’ve decided to create two new exclusive versions using unique lace designs. The black corset dress has sparkling lace embellished with white crystals and showcases our signature heart-shaped cutout.” Scroll down to see the photos and shop Frolov pieces for yourself.

  • The One Anti-Quiet Luxury Item Angelina Jolie Always Wears

The One Anti-Quiet Luxury Item Angelina Jolie Always Wears

    [ad_1]

Just a reminder: Angelina Jolie was doing “quiet luxury” long before there was a term attached to the chic, minimal way of dressing we’ve become so familiar with as of late. Her wardrobe consists of loose, neutral pieces that it’d be tough to pinpoint a brand too (but you can tell it’s all designer without being told). That said, there’s one item that’s quite the opposite of the quiet luxury aesthetic that she’s been wearing for years.

In case you hadn’t already guessed, that item is designer logo bags. Between a Celine Triomphe tote, Saint Laurent’s iconic oversized Icare bag, and logo Dior and Valentino bags, just to name a few, Jolie is rarely spotted without an instantly recognizable luxury handbag. And since the rest of what she’s wearing is always low-key, whatever bag she’s wearing always stands out.

Scroll on to see some of her designer logo bags and shop a few that she’d undoubtedly love.

  • Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler’s Day-Date Sneaker Pairing Is So 2023

Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler’s Day-Date Sneaker Pairing Is So 2023

    [ad_1]

To make it as a couple, especially in Hollywood, where relationships appear even harder to make work than anywhere else, you really need to be on the same page. There are too many barriers in place for couples to be disjointed, even when it comes to the tiniest detail. Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler, who are rumored to have gotten together in December 2021, get that, which is why, on their recent daytime date in Los Angeles, the two were spotted wearing matching baseball hats and donning two of the most 2023 coded sneakers. Clearly, they’re on the same page.

While out and about celebrating the Elvis actor’s 32nd birthday, Gerber chose a cutoff white tank top, paint-stained blue trousers, and Onitsuka Tiger‘s viral Mexico 66 sneakers in white, blue, and red. Accessories wise, she added a faded blue hat, oversize sunglasses, and a simple canvas tote bag. Equally casual was Butler, who wore a black T-shirt, matching paint-stained pants, and a pair of Vans’ Authentic lace-ups, another eternally buzzy sneaker style, with his own blue cap.

Two’s a coincidence; three’s a trend. When a trio of stylish celebrities all own the same pair of sunglasses, you better believe my interest is piqued. Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Rodrigo, and Kaia Gerber, three of the most famous names in Hollywood, all own the Khaite x Oliver Peoples 1969C Sunglasses ($524), solidifying them as the It accessory to have right now.

The sunnies are currently available to shop at Nordstrom in four different colors: black (the ladies’ color of choice), tortoiseshell, clear, and white. Yes, the price tag is high, but you can certainly make a case that the cost-per-wear would be reasonable if you intend on wearing them every single day. • Jasmine Tookes Is All Over My Mood Board—41 Items I’m Eyeing That Have Her Vibe

Jasmine Tookes Is All Over My Mood Board—41 Items I’m Eyeing That Have Her Vibe

    [ad_1]

If there is one woman who I will openly admit I have a full-on obsession with, it’s model, entrepreneur, and content creator Jasmine Tookes. I first became infatuated with Tookes when I was younger watching a Victoria’s Secret fashion show with my sisters and seeing Tookes grace the runway as one of the very few Black or Brown faces that got to wear the infamous Victoria’s Secret Angel wings. She’s one of those people who you can’t imagine having a job other than supermodel—that’s how gorgeous she is.

For years, she has been my go-to person when I want inspo for all things makeup and hair. My Pinterest history is literally filled with different photos of Tookes from her modeling career and appearances on red carpets, and now that she’s on TikTok, I get to see some of her makeup hacks firsthand. But since the fashion world’s obsession with quiet luxury, all eyes have been on Tookes’s personal style and sense of fashion. I know we hail Sofia Richie Grainge and the Olsen sisters as the high priestesses of quiet luxury, but if you’re asking me, they need to make room for Tookes. Her style has always had the main characteristics that quiet luxury is all about: minimal, neutral, and well tailored. She just looks like money. (Her collection of Birkins doesn’t hurt either.) She’s mastered that simple yet sophisticated vibe, and while her style is more on the minimalist side, I’m never bored with her looks.

Now that I’m shopping for fall, I’m making a list of items that I think Tookes would love and that will be staples for me to wear all fall long. Keep scrolling to see the 41 items that made the cut.

Cate Blanchett’s Controversial Shoe Trend Will Leave the Internet Divided

    [ad_1]

As the SAG-AFTRA union strike marches on, I can’t help but miss red-carpet fashion moments. Cate Blanchett is one of the celebrities best known for her impeccable red carpet style, where she’s regularly dripping in diamonds and designer gowns, but her off-duty style is absolutely worth noting, too. Photographed on a late-summer vacation in Ibiza, Spain, Blanchett looked incredibly chic in a loose vest, matching trousers, and a white button-down shirt.

It was her shoes, however, that caught my attention. If I had to describe her outfit, it would be: business on top, party on the bottom. Her platform clogs are certainly a polarizing choice, as the clunky trend isn’t for everyone—and that’s more than okay. • 6 Looks That Prove Bruna Marquezine Is Fashion’s Next It Girl

6 Looks That Prove Bruna Marquezine Is Fashion’s Next It Girl

    [ad_1]

Can you talk a little about working with your great styling team?

I’ve worked with Rita Lazzarotti for a long time, and we still work together, but she is the Vogue Brasil director, and she had a baby, the most beautiful kid I’ve ever seen. So I started working with Pedro [Sales], who I’ve always admired. He’s worked with some of my friends back home, and he has a great relationship with Rita as well. I have a beautiful history with Rita. I feel like she’s been with me through a lot of different moments in my life, career, and fashion journey. So we have a history. I call her my fairy godmother.

Pedro, he’s a great addition to the team. I just love the fact that he respects who I am, and he’s not someone who is trying to change my image or be like, “This is Bruna by me.” So I love this about the way he works. He knows my style, and he’s helping me see other options that are maybe not as obvious. Now, we have this other person on the team, Dani Michelle. We are really excited. She’s also someone I have admired for so long. It’s impressive what she does. She is able to pull the best looks. For someone who I’ve only been working with for a couple of months, she just gets me. It shows how good she is at what she does—she’s able to get me, get my style, and also incorporate something new and help me find new versions of myself. I’m really excited for what we’re going to do next.

With this fantastic team around you, what are some of the looks you’ve collaborated on that really stand out in your memory?

I’m going to google myself because literally I can only memorize lines and lyrics. I think the last one we did, me and Dani, was one I really loved. I went to the Variety Power of Young Hollywood event, and we were so sure about this other Givenchy dress that we had been waiting for the right moment to wear. But for some reason, I kept looking at the pictures, and I was like, “Dani, don’t kill me, but I think we should go with the other one.” For me, it’s really about feeling comfortable because then you own it. If it’s something that is uncomfortable or I need to think about something like “I need to pose a certain way so it looks good,” then it’s dead for me. This last look that we did together, I really loved it, and I was feeling so comfortable and like myself.

Oh, I loved the blue [Marni] look that me and Pedro did together, this all-blue velvet suit. That was so nice. When we were trying it on, it just felt like everything was perfect. This suit is perfect for the shirt that is perfect for the necklace, and it’s so nice when that happens, this magical little moment. I hosted this award show for MTV in Brazil during the pandemic, which was really hard. After many months inside wearing pajamas, we wanted to have fun and go big, and Rita did a wonderful job. It’s one of my favorite fashion-related moments. There was this Ashi Studio look. It was a black dress. I was just so in love.

Sofia Richie Grainge Wore the ’80s Jacket Trend That’s About to Be Everywhere

    [ad_1]

After our slightly ’80s-inspired (and very loud luxury) cover spread starring none other than 2023’s It girl Sofia Richie Grainge, I can’t say I was surprised to find a slideshow featuring one of the era’s biggest and most relevant-right-now trends pop up on her Instagram feed. That’s not to say I wasn’t happy to see it there, especially since I’ve been rallying behind the vintage outerwear’s return to fame for quite some time now. If you haven’t yet guessed, I’m referring to the tapered-in, gold-buttoned, big-shouldered blazers and jackets from the oft-slept-on decade in fashion that—thanks to brands like Saint Laurent, Alaïa, Schiaparelli, and more—are making a massive comeback for fall.

Richie Grainge, in particular, chose a highlighter-yellow take on the style, with hers featuring a military-style collar and a long-line silhouette. Though the photos, which she captioned with just a lemon emoji, don’t show her entire ‘fit, she appears to be wearing black jeans and carrying an Hermès Swift Kelly bag, a style that’s currently on sale for over $15,000 (casual).

While styles similar to Richie Grainge’s are all over the secondhand market—I have a habit of checking the RealReal for them every morning before I get up—brands like Zara, H&M, and more are, too, getting in on the ’80s-blazer trend, making it both easy and affordable to mimic the newlywed’s look. Rihanna Just Gave Birth to Baby #2—Here’s Everything We Know

After an impressive parade of pregnancy outfits beginning with her Super Bowl performance back in February, Rihanna has finally given birth to her second child. TMZ reports the new bundle of joy is a boy, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out his name. According to the outlet, Rihanna actually gave birth earlier this month, but the news has only just been revealed now.

Over the last six months, Rihanna defied expectations when it came to maternity style. For instance, she made a memorable entrance at this year’s Met Gala wearing a voluminous Valentino number festooned with 3-D flowers. She also dared to wear a sheer sequin dress with a bikini underneath—on the red carpet, no less. Scroll down to revisit my favorite Rihanna maternity looks of the year.

Taylor Swift Just Wore The Perfect Wedding Guest Dress—Shop the Pretty Trend

    [ad_1]

When Taylor Swift is a guest at a wedding, it’s easy to guess whose dress is the second most talked-about (after the bride’s of course). In this case, the wedding was for Swift’s longtime friend and producer Jack Antonoff to actress (and Chanel ambassador) Margaret Qualley. The wedding took place in a New Jersey beach town and based on the photos I’ve seen, I’d call it a classic, semi-formal affair—and Swift dressed accordingly, opting for a light blue lace midi dress by Erdem (which is now on sale, but it’s going fast).

The romantic dress, with its corsetted bodice and ruffled skirt, is as perfect for a wedding as it gets. And while there are many trend-forward elements to Swift’s dress, it’s the balconette detail that makes the most impact, in my opinion at least. Balconette dresses feature bra-style cups (often underwire), and it’s a pretty, lingerie-inspired trend I’ve seen a lot of as of late. I can tell that people love it because dresses of this style are often very quick to sell out.

This Kate Middleton–Approved Trend Makes Every Winter Outfit Look More Expensive

    [ad_1]

There’s no doubt that when Kate Middleton wears something, we take plenty of notes. The Duchess of Cambridge is renowned for her sophisticated style along with her mastery at picking timeless pieces that she can easily rewear. One item that we’ve spotted her in on countless occasions is a chic tweed jacket. Whether worn with skinny jeans and Wellington boots or as part of a sleek skirt suit, the jacket adds a touch of elegance to all her outfits.

While the fabric lends itself beautifully for winter thanks to its warm and comfortable qualities, it’s a material that you can actually wear year-round, as it comes in a variety of weights, weaves, and colors.

As Middleton knows, a tweed jacket is a classic that never goes out of style, and thanks to its close association with Chanel, it unquestionably looks luxurious and will elevate even the simplest jeans-and-tee outfits (a combo we see frequently on our favorite French girls).
