While Carolina Hurricane’s left wing Max Pacioretty may be lamenting his team’s early exit from the 2023 NHL playoffs, he still has plenty of reason to celebrate with the recent sale of his Las Vegas mansion. At $11 million, the deal is the most expensive in the exclusive neighborhood, The Ridges, where the 2018 home is located, as well as the priciest of the year for the Greater Las Vegas area.

Sleek in both design and finish, the single-story, custom-built home features an open-concept floor plan, walls of glass and soaring, coffered ceilings. A light-filled courtyard serves as the entrance.

A soft color palette embellishes wood elements seen in hardwood floors, built-in cabinetry and paneled ceilings as well as colorful views of the surrounding red rock landscape.

Marble is ubiquitous, found in the kitchen’s dark-hued double island and backsplash, primary bathroom flooring and a striking Calcutta fireplace in the living room.

“Each space thoughtfully incorporates timeless design with an authentic feel,” listing agent Madison Blau Benshimon of IS Luxury shared in a press release. The top-producing luxury specialist added that the home at “42 Crested Cloud is a particularly special property because it achieves the perfect balance of elegance and livability.”

This blend of luxury and comfort is embodied in the sprawling primary suite, complete with a stylish stone fireplace, massive dual steam shower, soaking tub, and pocketing walls of glass leading directly to the pool area.

In addition to the 55-foot-long swimming pool centered by an island seating area and water features, the backyard also houses an outdoor kitchen, firepit and sports court.

Other highlights include a glass-door wine cellar, home theater and gym fit for a professional athlete.

Pacioretty appeared in 74 games for the Hurricanes this season, racking up 24 assists and 25 goals in the process. The 15-year veteran previously spent four seasons with the Vegas Golden Knights from 2018-2022.

Artful Contemporary Enjoys A Quiet Haven Close To Las Vegas

Set just south of its glitzy sister, Las Vegas, is Nevada’s second-largest city: Henderson. In some ways, it seems a world away.

Exuding many small-town aspects, the city boasts farmers markets, 180 miles of trails, a pond-filled bird-viewing preserve and lion sanctuary.

Over the years, this foil to Vegas has attracted the likes of actor Tony Curtis, the NBA’s Paul Pierce and singer Mary Wilson, among other notables, to its real estate scene.

Recently put on the market is a luxury residence in Henderson’s master-planned MacDonald Highlands. Made up of five custom-home neighborhoods in the foothills of Black Mountain, along the edge of the McCullough Range, the gated community centers on the DragonRidge Country Club with its 18-hole championship golf course.

This sanctuary-like home is in Dragon Gate, which consists of 12 hillside lots with views of the Strip, some 14 miles away. Artful and striking details such as a stone entry fountain, varying ceiling heights, clerestory windows and strategically placed skylights distinguish it from the neighboring homes.

The handsome contemporary utilizes its siting and extensive glass walls to take in sweeping city, mountain and Las Vegas views. Multislide pocket doors connect interior and exterior living spaces, extended by covered patios.

A floor-to-ceiling glass wine wall and bar adjoin the main living areas, which open to the outdoors. The fully outfitted kitchen features an open ceiling, large center island and walk-in pantry.

Pocket doors open to a balcony in the primary suite, which contains a fireplace. A dressing table, walk-in closet, steam shower and large freestanding tub make up the spa-like bathroom.

Three more en-suite bedrooms are located downstairs. There are also two half-baths within the 7,136 square feet of interiors.

A recreation room with a wet bar, a home theater and a home office with a private entry near the six-car garage are among other living spaces.

The night lights of Vegas can be viewed from the zero-edge swimming pool and spa.

Ivan Sher of IS Luxury is the listing agent for 509 Dragon Gate Court. The asking price is US $7.499 million.
