Hot pot and sushi lovers, rejoice. There’s a new Asian restaurant opening soon in Pineville.

The OG Asian Eatery + KTV will set up shop in The Centrum shopping center, taking over the suite once occupied by Yiding Hot Pot, Sushi + More, according to the restaurant’s website.

The latter quietly closed its doors in early October after just two years in business, CharlotteFive previously reported. There, customers were invited to fill piping hot bowls of broth with noodles, seafood, vegetables and more — all delivered via a pair of robot servers.

Guests will find similar fare at The OG, though an official opening date hasn’t been announced. Beyond hot pot, customers can fill up on all-you-can-eat sushi, dim sum and barbecue skewers, according to the restaurant’s website.

Cheese wontons and bang bang shrimp are on the menu, as are tonkotsu ramen, fried dumplings and miso udon.

“Don’t forget to pair your meal with our selection of Asian beer, Sake, or Soju, and finish off with refreshing bubble tea,” the restaurant’s website says.

Plus, private KTV (karaoke television) rooms with “immersive sound systems and a massive song selection” are available for groups looking to belt out off-key versions of their favorite songs.

CharlotteFive has reached out to OG Asian Eatery for more information.
