Officials Warn of Uptick in Injuries Amid Firework Season

    [ad_1]

Americans celebrating the Fourth of July next week with loved ones and fireworks should be careful, officials warned, noting an uptick in injuries from fireworks over the past 15 years.

A report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) released Friday revealed that the commission received reports of eight deaths and about 9,700 injuries involving fireworks for 2023. Of the eight deaths, five were linked to firework misuse and two were associated with a device malfunction (the last involved unknown circumstances).

The report found that injuries caused by fireworks have increased overall between 2008 and 2023, even though recent data indicates a decline since the peak in 2020, when public displays were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“While it is a great American tradition to enjoy fireworks around the 4th of July, it is important to remember that all fireworks, even sparklers, pose dangers to consumers. The safest way to view fireworks is to watch professional displays,” CPSC Chair Alex Hoehn-Saric said in a press release. “If you choose to light your own, make sure you only buy legal fireworks intended for consumer use from a reputable retailer.”

Read More: How to Stay Safe From Wildfire Smoke

CPSC analyzed injury data in the four weeks surrounding the Fourth of July in 2023, and found that about 800 emergency department-treated injuries were associated with firecrackers, and about 700 with sparklers. The body parts most often injured by fireworks were hands and fingers—those made up about 35% of injuries. The head, face, and ears were also often injured, making up about 22% of injuries. About 42% of the emergency department-treated injuries related to fireworks were for burns.

Teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19 had the highest estimated rate of emergency department-treated injuries related to fireworks, CPSC found. Children between the ages of five and nine had the second highest rate.

CPSC encouraged the public to follow safety tips for fireworks, including not allowing children to play with or ignite fireworks; making sure fireworks are legal in the area and only buying ones that are for consumer use; never using fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs; and keeping a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of an accident.

Other safety tips include lighting fireworks one at a time before backing away quickly, never placing a body part directly over a firework when lighting it, never pointing or throwing fireworks at anyone, and dousing the used firework device with water or hose before discarding it to prevent a fire. People should also never try to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks, CPSC warned. Instead, soak them with water and throw them away.

  • Tampa Bay group quilts together history on Juneteenth

Tampa Bay group quilts together history on Juneteenth

    [ad_1]

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Americans across the country are celebrating Juneteenth on Wednesday. It’s the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas found out they were free — nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln emancipated enslaved Africans in America.

In 2021, Juneteenth was established as a federal holiday, but for some, learning about the history of the holiday needs to be emphasized more.

    What You Need To Know

    • Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021
    • On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were alerted that they were free — nearly two years after President Abraham Lincoln emancipated enslaved Africans in America
    • The sewing club, Quilting Sisters of Color Too, made quilts to be on display for Juneteenth at the Pinellas County African American History Museum
    • WHILE YOU’RE HERE: Juneteenth celebrations across Tampa Bay for 2024

That’s why the women from the sewing club, Quilting Sisters of Color Too, made quilts to be on display for Juneteenth at the Pinellas County African American History Museum.

Denise Campbell said she has a piece she’s been working on for years. She started on the quilt around the same time she learned about the significance of quilting for African Americans.

“What the slaves would do is they would put a quilt up and put it on the line, and the people would know when to gather their food, gather everything and each stop on the underground railroad, they would have a quilt saying, ‘It’s safe, you can do this,’ or ‘You can do that,’” Campbell said.

For her, learning that motivated her to keep moving her needle.

“What motivated me is knowing what they had to do to gain their freedom,” Campbell said. “Because I just thought they were, you know, I thought they were really smart to do this without the slave owner knowing what they’re doing. To know that our ancestors were smart enough to do that, without the slave owners knowing about it, and they were able to escape to freedom, and I thought that was pretty brilliant of them myself.”

She said she first learned about Juneteenth when she moved to Texas.

“I never knew anything about Juneteenth until I moved to Texas 20 years ago. But it shows people what kind of people they were dealing with. And I felt bad they stayed in slavery what, two more years, than everybody else,” she said.

When she moved back to Florida, the sewing club, called Quilting Sisters of Color too, was formed. Annie Miller has tailored it for anyone who wants to learn. She said the oldest member at 85, and the youngest is 35 years old.

Every week, the women meet to create quilts just like their ancestors did. And they do it in a room that’s bursting at the seams with love, laughter and history.

  • Flying out of Denver for Memorial Day weekend? Expect to spend extra hours at the airport with record number of travelers

Flying out of Denver for Memorial Day weekend? Expect to spend extra hours at the airport with record number of travelers

    [ad_1]

Denver International Airport is gearing up for a record number of Memorial Day weekend passengers, meaning travelers can expect a busy trip and long waits, airport officials said Tuesday.

Between Thursday and Tuesday, airport officials expect nearly 450,000 passengers to pass through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, according to a news release from DIA. This is a 9% increase from the same holiday travel period last year.

Thursday and Friday alone will each see more than 80,000 travelers moving through TSA screening areas, with additional foot traffic coming in from flight connections inside the airport, DIA officials said.

Airport officials said holiday travelers should arrive inside the airport at least two hours before their scheduled boarding time and should have plans for parking and making it through security checkpoints.

    Parking

Parking lots fill up quickly during the holidays and officials encourage flyers to take the Regional Transportation District’s A-Line to the airport.

Those committed to parking on-site should avoid the Pike Peaks lot due to construction and park at the Landslide parking lot — 6975 Valley Head Street.

The Pikes Peak and Longs Peak shuttle parking lots will close on Friday at 3 a.m. and re-open by 5 p.m., according to Tuesday’s release. The Landslide lot will be open for overflow parking at 3 a.m. Friday and will remain open until full.

Regular shuttle service will be available from all parking lots to and from the airport terminal.

Your vacation was ruined, and the company apologized — with a heartfelt note written by ChatGPT

    [ad_1]

Responding to angry customers is one of the hardest parts of her job, Natasha said.

Finding the right words, conveying the appropriate level of contrition — especially when the hotel isn’t at fault (read: rain complaints) — is a tedious and time-consuming process, said the director of a five-star resort, who asked that CNBC not use her real name to protect the resort’s name.

But now she has a secret weapon: generative AI.

Natasha pastes a traveler’s complaint into ChatGPT and asks the chatbot to write a response.

She said a task that would easily take her an hour is done “in two seconds.”

    ‘A pretty good job’

For all its faults, ChatGPT “does a pretty good job” responding to customer complaints, Natasha said.

“One [response] was much better than what I would have done,” she said. But “it has to be checked …you have to read through it.”

Responses tend to be “schmaltzy” and adjective-laden, she said. Still, they “hit the points of like ‘We’re sorry, we wish we could have done something, we’ll do better’ kind of thing.”

They also address every complaint mentioned by a traveler.

“It’s hard to write these letters; you have to go through line-by-line,” she said. “You wouldn’t be doing the person justice, if you didn’t respond to everything on the list … the AI does this really well.”

But best of all, artificial intelligence isn’t defensive like humans, said Natasha.

“The AI takes all the emotion out of it. Maybe the people were ass—–,” she said. “It doesn’t care.”

    The ‘ghosting’ risk

A screenshot of a discussion about using ChatGPT to write reviews on Airhosts Forum, a website for Airbnb hosts.

    CNBC

But short-term rental owners use AI for these purposes too, said Luca Zambello, the CEO of the short-term rental property management platform Jurny.

“The short-term rental/Airbnb industry has been early adopters,” he said. “Within the next five years, I would say it is probably going to be adopted by the vast majority of the industry.”

He said responding to reviews is time-consuming, which is one of the reasons his company provides this service.

“The majority of our users absolutely love it,” he said. “It is really a no-brainer for companies once they see how good it is.”

    An open secret

Using AI to write penitent responses is a taboo topic in the travel industry, which prides itself on personal service. Conventional wisdom, too, has long held that apologies must “come from the heart.”

I want people to think that I am sitting there toiling away over their letter.

    Natasha

    Director of a five-star resort

When asked if she wants travelers to know she uses AI to respond to negative emails and reviews, Natasha said, “I sure do not. I want people to think that I am sitting there toiling away over their letter.”

One company that acknowledges using AI to deal with customer complaints is the travel booking platform Voyagu, which stores past customer communications to help travel advisors with future interactions, a company representative said.

“Travel advisors always reply to customers themselves, but Voyagu’s AI system tracks all communication — both written and verbal — and suggests a better way to respond,” she said.

Brad Birnbaum, CEO of the AI-powered customer service company Kustomer, said technology of this sort is being used “not just within hospitality, but really all forms of customer support.”

His company, which counts Priceline, Hopper and AvantStay as customers, uses AI to help customer service agents sound more professional, he said.

“We will take text that is really rough and convert it to elegant text, to empathetic text,” he said.

Birnbaum said customers likely don’t know that their interactions with agents are either generated or improved by AI.

“And I don’t think they would care,” he said. “As a matter of fact, I think they probably welcome an agent system because they’re going to get a better response faster.”

    More discovering it

Michael Friedman, CEO of the family-run vacation rental company Simple Life Hospitality, said his company does not use AI to respond to customers.

“We never write an email with AI,” he said. ‘There is still a personal element in the ‘tone of voice’ that I believe AI is missing. … I believe there is nothing better than the human touch.”

Wanping Aw, managing director of the Japanese travel agency Tokudaw, said she had never thought to use AI to respond to customer complaints. But after learning that other travel companies are, she decided to test ChatGPT with a real-life problem she recently faced.

She typed: “Our guests are travelling to Mt Fuji. Their bus engine just started smoking. They are scared and anxious to know what is going to happen to their itinerary. What should we do?”

The result? “PRETTY AMAZING!” she told CNBC by email. “ChatGPT suggested exactly what we did!”

The chatbot provided a six-step plan that included evacuating the travelers and arranging alternative transportation.

Text showing the apology letter ChatGPT generated for Wanping Aw.

“Actually it’s better,” she said. “ChatGPT provided a good solution — better than my expectations — and also a great apology letter which I wouldn’t have able been to write under such stressful situations.”

  • What’s your single best tip for traveling in Japan? Here’s what frequent visitors said

What’s your single best tip for traveling in Japan? Here’s what frequent visitors said

    [ad_1]

    Japan has long captivated travelers.

But many of its most famous qualities — from the cuisine to the country’s nationwide culture of civility — can initially be befuddling for outsiders too.

To help travelers bridge the cultural gap, CNBC Travel asked frequent visitors for their single best piece of advice when visiting Japan.

    1. Speak softly and carry your trash

“Japanese culture is about respecting your environment and the people around you. Don’t talk on your phone on public transit and in confined areas around other people.

Also, savoring your food is an important show of respect, so don’t eat while walking. Instead, sit down and enjoy each bite.

And be prepared to hold onto your trash around the city while traveling and sightseeing — chances of finding a trash can are slim to none! Locals generally bring a small bag to carry the day’s trash until they get home. Japan is very clean, and you’ll find public bathrooms to be spotless compared to other countries. Basically, try to leave no trace.”

Tyler Monahan, New Jersey-based assistant golf caddie manager married to a Japanese citizen. He has made three trips to Japan totaling 155 days.

    2. Punctuality is key (as are jazz clubs)

“Trains are exceedingly punctual, so two minutes is a big deal — if it’s not arriving at the exact time, it’s a different train! If you miss a train in a big city like Osaka or Tokyo, another will be there in minutes, so don’t sweat it. In the countryside though, it could be hours, or tomorrow!

Unlike trains in many cities that pull up and allow plenty of time for boarding, trains in Japan arrive and depart quickly. “Two minutes is a big deal,” said architect Henry Rose.

    Source: Oliver Horovitz

Also, know the concept of “last train.” The whole train scene, both public and private, shuts down roughly between midnight and 5 a.m., which can seem a little early in big cities, so be warned. In rural areas, it can be much earlier. Be prepared to take a cab, or if you’re into it, explore this nocturnal world — perhaps at a jazz club that stays open until the first train starts — which in big cities is an entire economy unto itself.”

Henry Rose, Seattle-based architect, who has made more than 10 trips to Japan.

    3. To meet people, get Japanese business cards

“Exchanging ‘meishi’ is a glorious, and serious, tradition in Japan. Cards are presented with both hands and a deep bow. It is also one of the most unexpected and fun icebreakers you can use to meet new people.

The author, Oliver Horovitz (right), standing next to a man inspecting Horovitz’s meishi, or business card.

    Source: Oliver Horovitz

Get cards printed entirely in Japanese — you can use Google Translate for the translation. The staff at Kinkos — located in all major cities in Japan — will walk you through the whole process. After this, locals will be shocked, and absolutely delighted, that you have meishi for them. During my last trip to Japan, I had 100 cards printed in Kyoto. I handed them out during the rest of the trip, always to smiles.”

    — Oliver Horovitz, New York City-based travel writer who has visited Japan three times.

    4. Bring fun socks

“Bare feet in Japan is a big no-no. Travelers should expect to remove their shoes often in Japan and should always have socks on when they do so. The removal of shoes might even happen in places that are unexpected, like a restaurant.

Travelers can consider tabi socks, a split-toe Japanese sock dating to the 1400s, that are worn with thonged shoes.

Tina Horne | Istock | Getty Images

Also, it is common to have slippers at the entrance to public bathrooms, with the expectation that restroom visitors use these slippers and return them promptly. Be sure to only pack and wear your best (clean and hole-free) socks while in Japan. If you have a collection of fun or interesting socks, wear them in Japan where they can actually be seen and admired!”

Jolaine Pfeifer, Aspen, Colorado-based school administrator. She has made nine trips to Japan, on top of spending her middle and high school years in Yokosuka.

    5. Don’t knock convenience stores

“Rest assured, the only resemblance these little oases have to their U.S. counterparts is in the name! Stores like 7-Eleven and Lawson are immaculately clean and have just about anything you might need, including a few go-to items that I seek out each time:

    • A great selection of onigiri, which are sandwich-sized rice triangles wrapped in seaweed and filled with things like salmon, tuna, eggs and pickled plum.

Participants taste onigiri at a product meeting for 7-Eleven Japan in Tokyo on Jan. 23, 2024. Staff and suppliers gathered to discuss flavors, textures and fillings for the Japanese riceballs, one of 7-Eleven’s most important products, with more than 2 billion sold each year.

Noriko Hayashi | Bloomberg | Getty Images

    • The coffee — especially at 7-Eleven. The automated state-of-the-art machines grind the beans and brew some of the best coffee I’ve had, with lots of preference options like temperature, brew strength, milk, sweeteners and flavors.
    • These little bottles of flavored vitamin C shots called You-C1000, which I greatly appreciated in the winter on Hokkaido backcountry ski adventures. They come in tasty flavors like apple, orange or lemon and are a handy way to get vitamin C daily.”

Jeffrey Cole, Colorado-based leadership coach, who has made four trips to Japan, spanning the northern island of Hokkaido to the southern island of Miyakojima.

    6. Hire a guide – even if you think you don’t need one

    7. Shop at Tokyu Hands

“Not only is the layout a blast, with a different department on every level — but the merchandise is extensive and unique. There are 60 stores around the country, and they focus on hobby, home improvement and lifestyle products.

It’s a great place to find affordable, non-touristy gifts. They have the best pens, papers, and organizers, as well as camping supplies — if it’s small, efficient, and practical, they have it!

Tokyu Hands, which has been rebranded to Hands, is famous for selling themed household and beauty novelty items.

The island is also home to some great events, including the Almond Blossom Festival and the li Schietti Festival.

Sicily’s climate is attractive too. It’s hot in the summer and mild in the winter months, with yearly average temperatures of around 18o. Mountainous destinations feature a harsher climate with noticeable temperature variations and frequent rainfall.

The best time to visit Sicily is between May and November. You can enjoy the warm climate and the rarity of rainfall, allowing for unobstructed exploration of the island’s historical wonders and natural beauty.

This post will show you 25 cute Easter outfits for 2024, all under $130.

    Easter Outfit ideas 2024

Easter is almost here, which means it’s time to plan a cute outfit to celebrate this special holiday!

And while you may be on the hunt for Easter eggs, you won’t have to hunt for the perfect outfit — thanks to this guide.

Whether you’re headed to brunch, church, dinner, or a family gathering, we’ve got you covered with the cutest Easter outfit ideas for 2024, including 20 dresses under $130 that are absolutely perfect for this springtime holiday.

So, without further ado, grab your Peeps, and let’s get into our budget-friendly Easter 2024 style guide!

    Easter 2024 Outfit Ideas

These affordable Easter outfits will have you looking your best while showing off your style — whether your style is girly, trendy, classic, or casual.

    Girly Easter Outfit

Easter calls for floral prints, and while that may not be *groundbreaking* for spring (The Devil Wears Prada, anyone?), this print still looks incredibly cute and on-theme.

You just can’t beat a classic!

With the Girlhood and Coquette aesthetics trending, Easter 2024 is the perfect time to embrace your girly side with a floral print dress. This satin mini dress features the sweetest floral print, along with feminine details like a tiered, ruffled skirt and butterfly sleeves that add to its appeal.

Wear it with sandals — these woven straw wedge sandals are a great option — and a white shoulder bag to match.

Charm jewelry is another trend on the rise, and this custom name bracelet and pearl charm necklace complement the aesthetic of the dress so well.

Simply add a white satin bow clip to your hair, and you’ll be all set for your Easter celebrations.

    Trendy Easter Outfit

This one is for the trendy fashion girlies who don’t want to wear something expected on Easter.

Instead, show off your sense of style with a solid yellow maxi skirt (this skirt’s hue is still totally giving Easter vibes) and a chic, fitted white top with draping details and a slash neckline.

Opt for elevated accessories like a structured acrylic clutch bag (which, by the way, looks way pricier than it actually is!) and a chunky beaded pearl necklace to complement the bag’s beaded strap.

Some strappy white square-toe mule sandals bring this fashion-forward look together.

    Old Money Easter Outfit

We’ve been talking a lot about the Old Money/Quiet Luxury aesthetic recently (since it’s a major trend right now), and Easter is the perfect occasion to channel this aesthetic within your outfit.

Go for a chic, Old Money vibe by wearing an ivory tweed plaid mini skirt with a ribbed sweater knit bodysuit in a similar light hue. This bodysuit’s high slash neckline, rib knit fabric, and sleeveless design add to its elevated appearance.

Cardigan sweaters with embossed buttons are a big trend that also plays into the Old Money aesthetic, and this ecru cardigan with golden buttons adds major polish to this outfit, as do a pair of beige suede pointy-toe pumps.

Use gold-tone accessories to accentuate the cardigan’s luxe buttons, like some oversized gold stud earrings and a darling gold heart-shaped watch.

This outfit will make you look Old Money, minus the luxury price tags. It’s a win-win!

    Casual Cute Easter Outfit

You can’t go wrong with a cute, casual look on Easter that features a flowy dress and white low-top sneakers or flat sandals.

I adore the dreamy blue hue of this wrap midi dress that has ruffles, a self-tie wrap, and textured fabric. Its wrap-style design is flattering on just about every body type, and the ruffled trim adds a feminine feel to it.

Since the dress is made from a lightweight, crinkle texture fabric, consider layering a jean jacket over top for added warmth.

The denim jacket helps to make this outfit feel more laid-back, as do some white low-top sneakers, which BTW, are a wardrobe must-have.

And of course, don’t forget about accessories! Some matching blue beaded teardrop earrings and a mini knotted straw bag will pull this cute look together and make it springtime-ready.

    Easter Outfit with Jeans

Yup, it’s officially time to pull out the white jeans!

If you have relaxed Easter plans, wearing jeans and a cute top is the easy solution. But I say step it up a notch with some white jeans, which look a bit more polished and feel fresh for the spring and summer seasons.

These white straight-leg jeans pair perfectly with this green floral print one-shoulder top featuring a tie detail and pleats that give it a dressy effect.

Bring the ensemble together with some matching mules that have a low heel, gold jewelry, and a straw clutch bag with a gold chain strap for a dressy-casual Easter look.

    Easter Dresses Under $130

Looking for the perfect Easter dress?

Look no further: I’ve rounded up the best Easter dresses of the season, and best of all, they are all budget-friendly at under $130.

    Floral Print Midi Dress

Floral prints and Easter go hand-in-hand.

This pink floral print midi dress couldn’t be more ideal for the holiday, especially with its spring color palette, lightweight woven satin construction, and flattering side ruching.

Since its print is so eye-catching, you won’t need a ton of accessories when getting dressed: some dainty jewelry and nude heels or sandals are all you’ll need to look your “Sunday best.”

    White Linen-Blend Maxi Dress

It doesn’t get more classic than wearing white on Easter, a color that represents new beginnings.

This white maxi dress is super chic with its button-front design and linen-blend material, giving it a lightweight construction that is ideal for the spring and summer.

Best of all, it is available in a wider size range from size 0 to size 20. Style it with a structured handbag, gold jewelry, and slim sunglasses for an Old Money-inspired aesthetic on Easter, and wear it again on your upcoming Spring Break or summer vacation(s).

    Yellow Eyelet Bustier Mini Dress

Light yellow is another classic color choice to wear on Easter, as it brings to mind little chicks, which are a symbol of Easter and a decoration you see everywhere!

That’s why this yellow mini dress with an allover lace floral eyelet design is perfect for the upcoming holiday.

It has a super sweet look thanks to its eyelet lace, bustier bodice, A-line silhouette, and pom-pom trim. If it’s chilly, wear a white cardigan over it to complement the look and keep you warm.

Floral Print Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress

The flowy design of this floral print midi dress with flutter sleeves and tiered skirt makes it look absolutely ethereal, especially if paired with heels — you’ll practically float your way to brunch, lunch, or whatever else your Easter plans may entail.

The dress’s color palette, combined with its floral print, makes for the ultimate springtime look; simply add in some gold jewelry and neutral-colored heels for a stunning look.

    Floral Eyelet Mini Dress

How adorable is this floral print mini dress with a patchwork effect? With various colors and floral prints patched together with an eyelet trim, this airy mini dress is sure to set you apart on Easter.

I love the idea of styling it with Western-inspired items like cowboy boots and a wide-brim hat for a fun and on-trend look.

P.S. — this dress would also be cute for a country concert!

    Striped Halter Maxi Dress

This striped maxi dress with a tiered skirt and a halter neckline just screams Easter!

Its color palette featuring white, pink, and orange stripes is so on-theme, and its lightweight, flowy fabric makes it a perfect choice for this time of the year.

Plus, the back of the dress is just as fab as the front, with a self-tie and partially open back, making it that much cuter.

Floral Print Top & Maxi Skirt Set

PP Blue Floral Maxi Skirt SetPP Blue Floral Maxi Skirt Set

Why not wear a matching skirt set on Easter?

This darling blue and white floral print corset top and maxi skirt is flowy and fresh and makes for a good investment since you’ll be able to wear the items separately afterward — giving you multiple looks.

BTW, if you don’t want to show extra skin, simply wear the maxi skirt a bit higher on your waist by adjusting the drawstring waistband (rather than wearing it low-rise, as it’s shown above) so that it meets the hem of the top.

    Striped Midi Shirt Dress

For a preppy, nautical-inspired look, try a blue and white striped shirt dress.

This midi-length option has a classic design that’s been upgraded with modern finishes like a small front cut-out, a blousy bodice, and a bow tie at the back.

This frock features seersucker fabric, which is something we see a lot of on Easter (often in men’s clothing and suits). The traditional, lightweight fabric gives this dress a classic look that compliments its classy, shirt-like design.

    Mixed Material Maxi Dress

Can’t decide between a solid or floral print frock for Easter? You don’t have to!

This unique maxi dress offers a partial floral print and partial solid color design that gives you the best of both worlds in one cool design.

Its color scheme also adds to its Easter-y vibe, along with its floaty silhouette and sweetheart neckline.

    Strapless Floral Print Maxi Dress

Not only does this strapless maxi dress have an adorable floral print, but it features a small back cut-out for a head-turning touch.

Its shimmery satin fabric also enhances the pastel floral print, making it look oh-so-luxe. You can just as easily wear this frock with flat sandals as you could with heels — some woven wedges will look particularly cute (as shown above).

    Blue Rib-Knit Midi Dress

Going for a more casual vibe on Easter? Try this sleeveless blue rib-knit midi dress, which is simple but will still look cute.

Its tank-style design means you’ll be able to throw it on easily, but details like its high, straight neck and midi length give it a polished look. I adore its sky-blue hue, but it’s also available in four other colors and offers a wider size range from XS – 4X.

Because of its effortless style, you’ll be able to wear this a ton after Easter, too; try styling it with white low-top sneakers and a denim jacket for a simple yet stylish everyday look.

    Smocked Floral Mini Dress

There’s just something about sage green floral prints that feel so right for the spring season.

This smocked georgette dress with an allover sage green and white floral print couldn’t be cuter for Easter, with its feminine silhouette and flouncy tiered skirt.

Wear it with heeled or flat sandals; it can easily be dressed up or down to your liking.

    Denim Mini Dress

Denim on Easter? Sure thing, when it’s in the form of an adorable babydoll mini dress with puff sleeves!

This darling dress is equal parts casual and dressy since its denim puts a laid-back spin on its girly silhouette.

Jazz it up with some cute jewelry like a charm necklace and stud earrings, along with a mini handbag, for a fashion-forward Easter look.

    Smocked Strapless Midi Dress

Why not wear a bold color like bright blue on Easter?

This eye-catching blue strapless midi dress will make a statement, but is balanced out by feminine details like a smocked bust and ruffled trim so that the overall look feels appropriate for the holiday, rather than over-the-top.

Did I mention this dress has pockets, too? That’s always a bonus!

And if bright blue isn’t your thing, no worries: this dress comes in four other pretty hues to pick from.

    Floral Print Midi Slip Dress

Small details can make all the difference, and that is certainly the case with this floral print midi slip dress.

Design details like its ruched cups and delicate pink contrasting trim set it apart and make it a top dress pick for Easter. Plus, its green and pink floral print makes for the ultimate spring color scheme.

    Pastel Striped Midi Dress

If floral prints aren’t your thing, no worries: try some stripes instead! Pastel stripes, to be exact.

The pastel-colored striped pattern on this rib knit midi dress couldn’t be more on-theme for Easter.

Wear this dress with heels and a long, lightweight coat on Easter (like a trench coat), or style it more casually with white low-top sneakers and a denim jacket throughout the rest of the season. It’s surprisingly versatile!

    Floral Fit & Flare Dress

A dress that can be worn in two different ways? Yes, please!

This blue floral print fit and flare dress allows you to wear it on or off-the-shoulder, giving you multiple looks (so that you can wear it again after Easter).

Its ultra-flowy silhouette with smocking around the waist and puff sleeves add to its charm. Wear it with white or beige shoes and accessories for the full effect.

    Navy Tie-Strap Tiered Midi Dress

There’s something about the color navy that just looks so classic and chic — which is why it’s a great option to wear on Easter, especially if you’ll be attending a dressy family function.

You’ll look polished in this navy blue tiered midi dress with darling tie-straps and a fitted bodice with a skater skirt and tiered midi hem. Its retro-inspired silhouette, complete with a sweetheart neckline and seamed cups, is sure to flatter you.

Consider accessorizing this dress with a straw handbag and espadrilles, along with a knit cardigan, for a preppy vibe.

    Floral Tie-Back Mini Dress

Bring in the spring with this adorable floral print mini dress that has a tie-back detail and a partially open back.

Though it shows a bit of skin, it comes across as sweet and girly thanks to details like its shirred bust, floaty sleeves, and ditsy floral print.

Style this frock with some flat sandals, or give it a country-inspired vibe by styling it with white cowboy boots and an oversized knit cardigan. Either way, you will look amazing in this dress while celebrating Easter.
