This winter, we’re putting Laufey at the top of our playlists. Even though ‘Silver Lining’ isn’t an official holiday song, it matches the vibes of this season perfectly. If you’re falling in love under the mistletoe this Christmas, we know you’ll absolutely adore this song and be replaying it all December long.
A hint of fog and misty cold air is just what we need this wintertime. Our third Laufey recommendation for your playlists is ‘Misty’ from Laufey’s 2023 album, Bewitched. The beautiful jazz instrumentals throughout this song remind us of Christmas morning, unwrapping gifts with our loved ones. If there’s only one artist you’re going to listen to this festive season, make it Laufey.
We’re ending this short but sweet playlist with another one of our favorites from A Very Laufey Holiday. ‘Love to Keep Me Warm’ is a classic Christmas love song, and we absolutely adore Laufey’s rendition of it. As we said, we love a stellar cover of any Christmas classic. Hunter Hayes is giving us four new ones on his holiday EP, Evergreen Christmas Sessions. From ‘Winter Wonderland’ to ‘Silent Night,’ we’re loving these covers with the Hunter Hayes country-inspired twist. His voice is like a warm, cozy night in front of the fireplace! Which of the four songs on this EP were your favorite?
If there’s one thing that’s always true, it’s that we’re always cheering Paris WYA on in this hive! She decided to leave us a little surprise under the tinsel tree this year with a gorgeous rendition of Ariana Grande‘s ‘Santa Tell Me.’ This is one of the best pop Christmas songs out there, so Paris WYA taking it on was no small feat! We loved the entire 3 minutes and 26 seconds and will 100% be adding this rendition to our holiday party playlists.
It’s not Christmas time without a few holiday tracks by the lovely Kylie Minogue! This year, the special 10th-anniversary drop of her album, Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped), is ours, featuring a new song, ‘XMAS.’ We’re also getting to hear our other Kylie favourites, including ‘Santa Baby’ and ‘At Christmas.’ If your Christmas party is getting a little dull, you can count on Kylie Minogue to bring the festive cheer all the way up this year!
This Is What Christmas Feels Like By JVKE And Forrest Frank
So many full-length Christmas albums this year! When we heard that JVKE and Forrest Frank were teaming up this year for a nine-track album filled with original holiday songs, we couldn’t contain our excitement. If you love JVKE’s calming, dreamy, pop sound, you’re going to absolutely love songs like ‘this is what christmas feels like,’ ‘the cozy part,’ and ‘this is what new years feels like.’ Nothing beats a new JVKE song, but especially during the holiday season!
Yes, this Christmas is certainly made better with this new release by powerhouse girl group 3QUENCY.

All you honeybees already know we love the 3QUENCY girls, so this release was an extra special gift this season in the hive. Their rendition of ‘This Christmas’ is just as festive as you would imagine, with a joyful, warm flair that the girls naturally bring to all their songs. Next year, we need a full Christmas album!
‘Christmas Starts Tonight’ By Olly Murs And The Ordinary Boys
The holiday season doesn’t start until Olly Murs drops a new song!
“‘Christmas Starts Tonight’ has had the maddest journey… It began as a demo of ‘Run This Town’ that never quite found its moment. Fast forward to 2025 and it ends up on my new album, I perform it on Strictly, and suddenly I’m hearing it as a Christmas song. So I sent Sam a message and somehow we’ve turned it into a full-on festive anthem and properly reconnected in the process. It feels fresh, it feels fun, and honestly… I couldn’t be more excited to now have a fully fledged Christmas tune out with The Ordinary Boys.”

We need a little freshness this season, and Olly Murs and The Ordinary Boys certainly have brought it. In fact, this song just may be the star on top of our tree this year. What a pleasant surprise this song has been! We can’t wait to add it to our playlists and stream it on Christmas Eve.
flowerovlove has been on our radar all throughout 2025, and now we get even more from her this season! This song is all about telling your crush how you feel, but of course, with a holiday twist. If there’s someone special you want at the top of your wishlist this season, send them this new flowerovlove song as a subtle *wink wink*, ‘Wishlist’ is definitely on our wishlist this Christmas – right at the very top!

Compiling songs from Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist, the countless press releases flooding my email, and doing my own investigations, we have yet another week’s worth of new music ready!
That’s right, I’ve got a fresh playlist of songs you didn’t know you needed in your life. Whether you have Friendsgivings to attend, clubs to dance in, or are just staying in on this lovely November Friday, there’s always a good time to find new tunes.

Lauren Spencer Smith- “Santa Baby”
Lauren Spencer Smith is one of the most exciting rising stars in pop music right now. She can spin any track into gold, whether it be a ballad, or a rock-inspired pop dance tune. Now, she’s here with a taste of the holidays for us with a rendition of “Santa Baby”- her clear, concise vocals are flawless, haunting, and flirty.
She’s fully in holiday season…releasing a cover of “Hallelujah” earlier this month and releasing “Broke Christmas” alongside her “Santa Baby” cover. It begs the question: is there anything she can’t do?
Sabrina Carpenter- fruitcake
Another woman in the music industry having a massive year is Sabrina Carpenter, who went viral on TikTok for her “Nonsense” outros on tour, both her own and opening for Taylor Swift. Coming off her fifth studio album with emails i can’t send in 2022, Carpenter is establishing herself as the “next big popstar.”
She’s here with her holiday EP, fruitcake, with six festive songs that are uniquely Carpenter. You can get tired of the same old holiday cheer songs over and over, but Sabrina Carpenter’s fruitcake proves there’s still ground to be broken in the holiday song category.
Jimmy Fallon, Meghan Trainor- “Wrap Me Up”
Jimmy Fallon and Meghan Trainor team up for a light-hearted track during the gifting season. Begging for you to “wrap me up” because she’s the “whole damn package”, you get the classic Meghan Trainor sound and vibe. Plus, any track adding Jimmy Fallon is guaranteed to be instantaneously exciting.
What I love about Meghan Trainor’s music is that it truly is all about having fun and feeling your best. It’s an infectious, often viral method that gets everyone dancing whether they wanted to or not. “Wrap Me Up” is no exception , which is no surprise.
Chloe Stroll, “Homesick”
Chloe Stroll is one of Popdust’s favorites for a good reason: she has an honest approach to making quality music that is both relatable and easy to listen to. Her new single, “Homesick”, is proof that she is willing to work hard to create these borderline perfect tracks and shows her growth as a new artist in the industry. She sings about yearning for someone’s love, being homesick for them.
It’s a pop sound with synths and, of course, a hint of piano. It exhibits her vocal range and you can hear the emotion through each chorus as she launches in. If you need an introduction to Chloe Stroll, this is the song for you.
Elle Darlington- “christmas is you”
Elle Darlington has a soulful, ethereal tone that is reminiscent of pop divas we know and love. You wonder if there is a note she can’t hit as she effortlessly glides through “christmas is you”. She delivers a dreamy bedroom pop Christmas song that makes you want to go out in the snow and romanticize your holiday season. Darlington says,
“Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. This songreflects the thing I love most about Christmas – being with my family and friends. So many of my idols including Mariah & Ariana have been the soundtrack to my favorite festive memories; so it’s super exciting that ‘christmas is you’ could play a part in making those memories for other people.”
DRAMA- “As I Am”
“As I Am” is the latest single off of DRAMA’s Til We Die EP that offers high energy and otherworldly sound, sending you straight to the club dance floor. Til We Die is one of DRAMA’s best bodies of work to date, and “As I Am” perfectly encapsulates all the album has to offer. It’s like stepping into a haze in the best way possible, listening feels like the ultimate escape.
DRAMA delivers electronic R&B that includes thought-provoking lyrics and refreshing beats…melding into catchy club tracks that make you want to go out all night long. “As I Am” is a peek into a tortured love affair, masked by a celestial, entrancing sound.
