11 Elegant Holiday Party Outfit Ideas to Wear All Season Long

    [ad_1]

And just like that, it’s holiday party season—the festive grand finale of the year. And whether you’re going to one party or 10, you may want to shop for some new fancier-than-usual things (that you can still wear post-party season, of course) and find some fancier-than-usual outfit ideas to wear with them. Luckily for us, the fashion girls of Instagram have been documenting their festive winter looks, and, boy, have I got some gems to show you.

Because not all holiday parties are created equal, some of the outfits I chose for this roundup are ultra fancy, while others are more casual. But the commonality among all of them is that they’re festive and they’re elegant. Elegance has been the through line of many trends (and outfit trends) this year, and that theme is likely to continue through party season. So let’s do some outfit planning, shall we?

Scroll on for 11 excellent, elegant holiday party outfits to try and shop for pieces you may be missing.

‘Tis the season! For many, this period marks the beginning of the transition into winter, but for the fashion set, it’s something else entirely. Late November marks the start of two mind-consuming matters: holiday parties and, more importantly, sale season. While most may be worrying about finding the perfect winter staples or gift ideas for loved ones, fashion people are searching for the perfect frocks for their jam-packed calendars. Frankly, I don’t blame them. One of the best things about this time of year isn’t necessarily being able to bust out the bigger coats. It’s finding an incredible item with the price marked down.

Sale season is our Super Bowl, okay! It’s why we’ll spend hours scrolling through the sale sections of our favorite retailers in search of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. While there’s no shortage of sales to shop this year, there was one, in particular, I was waiting for with bated breath: Reformation. You see, anyone in the know is well aware that this brand has some of the prettiest party dresses on the market, so anytime there’s a sale, you have to stock up. Luckily, the brand’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales just started. Running from November 22 to November 27, Reformation is offering 25% off everythingyes, everything

For those with a stacked calendar this holiday season, you don’t want to sleep on this sale, as it has the perfect pieces for every occasion, including a winter wedding, a cocktail event, or even a gala. But what exact pieces should you be shopping for? In an effort to help you, I rounded up the 35 prettiest dresses from Reformation, which are all on sale right now. You’ll want to act fast, as these will sell out quickly.

  • 14 Work-Appropriate Holiday Party Looks Even Your Boss Will Love

14 Work-Appropriate Holiday Party Looks Even Your Boss Will Love

    [ad_1]

Trust us when we say that the holiday season (and all the events that will inevitably ensue) will arrive much sooner than you’ll realize. As your go-to destination for outfit ideas and shopping, of course, we made it our duty to bring you our guide on what to wear to every type of celebration you might attend this holiday season (virtual or otherwise). Next up: your office holiday party.

Although many companies are continuing to work remotely, that doesn’t mean the festivities are completely canceled. So long as Zoom gatherings and in-person soirées are taking place, you can bet that we’ll be delivering on ideas for what to wear. For most of us, this is a tricky one to dress for because on one hand, you want to maintain an air of professionalism in front of your co-workers, while on the other, you don’t want to dress like you would on any other workday. Where does that leave you? Somewhere between formal and festive, which can be hard to pinpoint—and that’s where we come in. Ahead, we’ve rounded up 14 outfits that will impress not only your boss but your colleagues, too.

Each look effortlessly balances looking festive and polished. Take outfit one, for instance, in which an office-ready blazer meets a pretty lace bodysuit. Get inspired by this and so many more office holiday party outfits below. See (and shop) the looks below.

  • November Marks My Festive Party Outfit Planning—These Are the Pieces I’m Eyeing

November Marks My Festive Party Outfit Planning—These Are the Pieces I’m Eyeing

    [ad_1]

The start of November means holiday season has officially begun, and while some are putting up their decorations, others, including me, are taking up an entirely different task: holiday party outfit planning. When it comes to planning for festive party looks, I always consider these helpful tips: Black is never a mundane choice, sequins are always welcome, and a splash of color doesn’t hurt.

I’ve been feeling a little stunted in my outfit choices recently and decided to peruse Nordstrom‘s holiday curation for some inspiration. And boy did find it and then some. The red Staud mesh dress was first to go in my cart along with the Saint Laurent strap heels.  I’ve already thought of multiple ways to wear the embellished gray knit cardigan from Cinq à Sept (spoiler: with the Ulla Johnson ruffled black midi skirt and silver sequin Cult Gaia bag). Keep scrolling for all the pieces I’ve added to my wish list below.

  • I’m in Desperate Need of Holiday Party Pieces—Ref and Zara Came to the Rescue

I’m in Desperate Need of Holiday Party Pieces—Ref and Zara Came to the Rescue

    [ad_1]

If there is ever a time to have fun with your wardrobe, it’s the holiday season. Sequins, velvet, feathers, bow motifs, red hues—all not only appropriate but encouraged. I always look forward to this time of year since I love to get all dressed up and celebrate, and I seldom meet a sequin outfit I don’t like. With Halloween in the rearview mirror, all of my focus has shifted to full-on holiday mode. What better time than now to round up some affordable holiday-party-ready picks for all the upcoming festivities? I’m going to let you in on a little secret. When it comes to holiday party dressing, I turn to Zara and Reformation first. Neither of these retailers is playing around with its holiday 2023 pieces. I’m talking gorgeous velvet dresses, fun sparkly bags, sequin blazers, and bow-detailed shoes, just to name a few. These 30 picks from both Reformation and Zara caught my attention, and I absolutely had to share them with you.

Keep scrolling to see which 30 holiday party picks from Zara and Reformation I can’t get enough of.

  • It’s Almost Party Season: 40 Showstopping Finds Already in My Cart

It’s Almost Party Season: 40 Showstopping Finds Already in My Cart

    [ad_1]

I know that Halloween has quite literally just ended, but now that it is November, I am in full holiday-season mode. I’m planning my travels, booking après-ski reservations, and, of course, planning all of my upcoming winter looks. The most exciting are my holiday-party looks. I’m a sucker for all of the cliché fabrics and motifs that pop up around this time of year. The velvet, sequins, bows, and feathers—I can’t get enough of it. It’s clothing that puts you in a good mood and makes you want to celebrate, and while my holiday-party calendar is still looking a little thin (yes, that is me dropping a hint that you should throw a holiday party and invite yours truly), I’m not letting that stop me from getting a few good holiday-party outfits on deck. When I do receive a party invite, I’ll be ready.

I went to some retailers that I know are stocking up on tons of chic items to guarantee you’re the best dressed at your upcoming holiday festivities. Reformation is always at the top of my list for any party look, and the brand is not playing around when it comes to holiday-season pieces. H&M’s holiday accessories are so good I almost wanted to gatekeep them.

  • Banana Republic and J.Crew Are Stocked for the Holidays—26 Party Pieces to Shop

Banana Republic and J.Crew Are Stocked for the Holidays—26 Party Pieces to Shop

    [ad_1]

Despite the fact that it’s currently 70° and sunny in New York City, the holiday season is fast approaching. No matter how hard you try to keep your calendar from mid-November to early January as sparse as possible, it’s inevitable that a handful of invites that require a positive RSVP will fall into your lap. For those occasions that require your attendance, party looks are essential. Now, all you have to do is figure out which ones.

According to my latest market sweep, two retailers specifically have that area covered: J.Crew and Banana Republic. For two brands that would hardly be at the top of our holiday wish lists six months ago, J.Crew and Banana Republic are proving to be the ones to beat for party looks in 2022. Scroll down to shop our favorites.
