  • My Thanksgiving Aesthetic Is Effortless, Cozy, and Chic—31 Things I’d Wear

My Thanksgiving Aesthetic Is Effortless, Cozy, and Chic—31 Things I’d Wear

    [ad_1]

I’m always looking for an excuse to stock up on cozy items, and Thanksgiving inspires a mini shopping spree for me. It’s an excuse to buy a new sweater, this season’s rendition of cozy Uggs, and maybe an accessory or two. Thanksgiving is the kind of weekend where I squeeze it all into a carry-on, so “fewer, better things” is the mantra. If you’re wondering what I’m packing this year, allow me to indulge you.

The best items in my closet are the ones that are extremely comfortable while still looking dressed up. I imagine myself on Thanksgiving Day wearing a cozy sweaterdress that looks like a fashion statement but feels like wearing a blanket. Below, I’ve curated a list of items that fall into that category. Enjoy.

  • I’m Calling It—This J.Crew LBD Will Be at Every Holiday Party From Now Until ’24

I’m Calling It—This J.Crew LBD Will Be at Every Holiday Party From Now Until ’24

    [ad_1]

As much as I’d like to pretend that it’s still summer, the season’s come to a close once again, and now, it’s time to face the fact that the holidays are approaching at lightning speed. If you want to be more prepared than I usually am when they come around, it’s pivotal that you get started on your gift shopping and outfit shopping too. Fortunately for you and me both, I just stumbled upon what’ll go down in the history books as 2023’s ultimate holiday dress. It’s an LBD so perfect and versatile that there’s no reason I can think of for it not to go completely viral.

The dress in question caught my eye this morning as I was scrolling through the latest drop from J.Crew, which is full of holiday-ready apparel, shoes, and accessories in fabrics like duchess satin, velvet, and tweed. A red, gold, silver, and black color palette really drives the theme home. Of all the hundreds of new arrivals I dug through, the item I fell hardest for was an off-the-shoulder jersey-knit maxi dress with long sleeves and a body-hugging silhouette that could just as easily be worn to a lunch date with the right shoes and bag as it could a black-tie gala. As an added bonus, the off-the-shoulder touch places it right at the top of both fall’s and winter’s trend lists, with everyone from Meghan Markle to Elsa Hosk donning the look and brands such as Khaite, Helsa, The Row, Jacquemus, and Reformation all making it.

Below, see and shop the dress that I’m predicting a major presence of come Thanksgiving and the holidays that follow. While you’re at it, scroll through more of my favorite finds from J.Crew’s new collection

Typically, a roundup of the best New Year’s Eve outfit ideas for cold weather would include suggestions for how to pair sequinned pieces and coats and recommendations for the best winter boots that you can survive a night out on the town in—but this year, my friends are very different indeed. We are, after all, still living in unprecedented times. And while social distancing measures across the globe have eased, getting back to “normal” isn’t always easy.

While it may then seem trite to be worried about New Year’s Eve (much less what to wear), that’s far from the truth. Now, more than ever, is a time to re-embrace doing things that bring us joy—whether that means spending the evening in the comfort of your home or out dancing the night away. So in that vein, I’ve rounded up the best New Year’s outfit ideas that are great for cold weather and any evening plans. Party Season is Upon Us, and These 29 Dresses Are All I Can Think About

    [ad_1]

These days, it seems like I spend half of my time in a dress. With a calendar full of various holiday events—from large-scale fashion parties to small gatherings with friends—this month has been a never-ending roller coaster of social soirées. It takes a lot of shopping and outfit coordination to come out each time with a thrilling look, but I also get a little help from my collection of dresses

It’s been said before, but a dress is the definition of a sartorial shortcut. Sure, you need to find the right boots and accessories to complement it, but that certainly beats dreaming up an entire outfit from scratch. For my holiday wardrobe, I’ve been rotating through a selection of cheerful and elevated power dresses that steal the show every time. Read ahead to see my Rolodex of compliment-inducing dresses, from magnificent minis to pretty printed pieces, and how the fashion set is styling them.

Banana Republic and J.Crew Are Stocked for the Holidays—26 Party Pieces to Shop

    [ad_1]

Despite the fact that it’s currently 70° and sunny in New York City, the holiday season is fast approaching. No matter how hard you try to keep your calendar from mid-November to early January as sparse as possible, it’s inevitable that a handful of invites that require a positive RSVP will fall into your lap. For those occasions that require your attendance, party looks are essential. Now, all you have to do is figure out which ones.

According to my latest market sweep, two retailers specifically have that area covered: J.Crew and Banana Republic. For two brands that would hardly be at the top of our holiday wish lists six months ago, J.Crew and Banana Republic are proving to be the ones to beat for party looks in 2022. Scroll down to shop our favorites.
