  • Ariana Grande and Emma Watson Just Made These the New Fall It Shoes at Wimbledon

Ariana Grande and Emma Watson Just Made These the New Fall It Shoes at Wimbledon

    [ad_1]

As you’ve probably noticed, celebrities love Wimbledon, and the big matches, in particular, draw some of the biggest celebrities. That was certainly the case over the weekend when Ariana Grande and Emma Watson, among many others, attended the men’s finals. Photographers are everywhere during these matches and accordingly, the attendees dress to the nines—Grande and Watson included.

Both Grande and Watson dressed elegantly for the match, but they had a little fun with their shoe choice. They each opted to wear Loewe’s Toy Pumps—Grande in black to accompany her gray sweater and full skirt, and Watson in white to complement her coral trousers and sleeveless white top. As with most of Loewe’s shoes, the heels are quite whimsical, and feature a soft square toe and a heel that resembles an old-timey “toy”.

The heels are selling out everywhere, so if you want to splurge on a pair for yourself a head of fall, you might want to act fast. Shop them below.

  • Margot Robbie Just Wore the Comeback Heel Trend That Could Replace Platforms

Margot Robbie Just Wore the Comeback Heel Trend That Could Replace Platforms

    [ad_1]

Margot Robbie has some of the best red-carpet style in Hollywood, so we always pay attention to what she wears. She wore a chic black-and-white Schiaparelli Haute Couture look to the New York premiere of her upcoming film Asteroid City. She paired the peplum corset and pleated miniskirt with a shoe trend that’s far removed from the towering platforms that have recently been the norm on the red carpet. I’m talking about pumps, the original heel style.

But aren’t pumps a classic shoe style? Why am I calling them a trend? Good question. The truth is, we’ve been taking pumps for granted as flashier styles like platforms, wedges, and sculptural heels have been at the forefront. But the F/W 23 runways of Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Loewe, and more indicate pumps are still cool and in style, regardless of their classic status. Accordingly, we’ve seen more and more celebrities wearing them this year. Pumps have been a go-to shoe for Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle for years.

On the red carpet, Robbie opted for a simple pair of black suede pumps. Scroll to see her sophisticated look for the premiere and shop some of the best pumps on the market.

  • Every Bougie Auntie Swears By This One Basic Summer Shoe Style

Every Bougie Auntie Swears By This One Basic Summer Shoe Style

    [ad_1]

There’s an unspoken belief that all great looks start with a foundational wardrobe. I’d elaborate on that idea even further to say that all great outfits start from the ground up, meaning with your choice of footwear. No one emphasizes this better than Giuseppe Zanotti, who said, “Never underestimate the power of a shoe.” Though it’s somewhat predictable that a footwear designer would champion this accessory’s importance, one must admit he makes a valid point.

Footwear is the defining factor of every ensemble—it can make or break the look and provides either ease in mobility or full-fledged pain. It’s imperative, then, to have a solid arsenal of shoes. And while numerous shoes serve that purpose, none are as beloved as mules. Characterized as a shoe that does not place constraints around the back of the foot, this silhouette comes in everything from open-toe slides to slinky sandals to kitten heels to open-back loafers. While the versatility in styles available has made mules stick around season after season, that’s not the only reason these shoes have become a must-have for any wardrobe.

In truth, the power of these shoes lies in their ability to make any outfit feel more bougie. Want to dress up a denim shirt and T-shirt? Add heeled mules. Need to make shorts feel office-friendly? Pair them with mule loafers. You get the picture—mules are the solution to your style woes. Don’t believe me? Keep reading as I’ve rounded up the 40 best mules taking into consideration silhouette versatility, price point, quality, reviews, and editor perspective. These mules prove that every great outfit starts with an equally fabulous pair of mules.

Hailey Bieber Wore the Elegant Low-Heel Shoe Trend That Looks Chic With Jeans

    [ad_1]

If you’re a fan of jeans but not a fan of sky-high heels, you’ve clicked on the right story. Hailey Bieber just wore a low-key outfit you’ll love—I know I did, and I identify as a jeans fan who likes low heels. While out and about in Los Angeles earlier this week, Bieber wore a cropped white T-shirt, mid-rise jeans, and a classic belt. She paired her simple outfit with one of the chicest and most elegant shoe trends around: kitten-heel mules.

While kitten-heel mules have been a thing for years, they’re as relevant and trendy as ever. Bieber opted for a square-toe croc-embossed pair by Jil Sander she’ll surely get years of wear from. The 2-inch heels are the perfect complement to her ankle-length straight-leg jeans. I don’t know about you, but I’m inspired to order a fresh pair of kitten-heel mules for myself. Scroll for a few of my favorite contenders, including Bieber’s splurge-worthy designer pair.

Shoes Are the Main Characters of My Wardrobe—These Spring Styles Deserve Praise

    [ad_1]

Take one glance at my closet, and you’ll see my love for shoes is abundant to say the least. I don’t like to play favorites, but there’s really nothing like packing away your snow boots and pulling out strappy sandals, feathered heels, and trendy wedges. No offense to black boots everywhere, but a purple heel adorned with feathers has more of the It factor I’m looking for when it comes to completing a look. On-trend styles like the ones you’ll find below can completely transform a basic outfit in seconds.

I was on the hunt for shoe styles that would do just that, so I tapped Lya Mariella to give me her lineup of stylish footwear selects from Nine West’s latest arrivals. One scroll through her Instagram and it’s clear she knows a thing or two about creating looks that are anything but basic. Many of her posts have made it to my ‘Fit Ideas Saved folder, so I knew she’d be the right gal to give us a little inspiration for the season ahead. Let me tell you she didn’t come to play. The three looks she created will take anyone from the office to happy hour and everywhere in between. 11 Places to Find Comfortable Heels for People With Wide Feet

    [ad_1]

Having a hard (and painful) time finding a pair of stylish heels to fit your wide feet? You’re not alone. Although brands like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, and Saint Laurent produce gorgeous pumps, their designs aren’t always suited for girls with wide feet. Think about a pair of BB pumps—the style is crafted to create a very slim and sleek look. And if your feet are nowhere near narrow, then you know this translates to shoving your little footsies into the pumps and pretending the pain is worth it. (Guilty!)

Sob story aside, we crowdsourced in our office to bring you the best brands to shop if you have wide feet. In hopes of alleviating some of your heel-wearing foot pain and to stock your shoe collection with the right picks, here are the top brands you need to know about. Keep reading to see the brands and shop our favorite heels for wide feet.

Elle Fanning Wore the Pretty Shoes That Pair Perfectly With Anti-Skinny Jeans

    [ad_1]

As gorgeous as Elle Fanning looks when she’s dressed in lavish period garb on the set of The Great, her off-duty style is just as impressive. Classic and sophisticated, she and her stylist Samantha McMillen work in sync to make every outfit a timeless one, always adding a playful touch here or there to personalize the look.

Take her latest ensemble, for example, which she wore for an evening with friends at every celebrity’s favorite Los Angeles dinner spot—Craig’s in West Hollywood. For the occasion, she casually combined a black waistcoat and matching blazer with baggy, wide-leg jeans and the prettiest pair of point-toe black pumps that ever so slightly peek out underneath the bottom hemline. To top it off, she added a bamboo-handle Jil Sander handbag for that aforementioned bit of whimsy.

  • J.Lo Just Wore the Naked Version of 2023’s Most-Wanted Platforms

J.Lo Just Wore the Naked Version of 2023’s Most-Wanted Platforms

    [ad_1]

If we had to zero in on the one wardrobe item Jennifer Lopez favors most, it would have to be platforms. But not just any platforms—the 5’5” singer and actress has frequently been seen in sky-high platforms with lifted heels. In fact, she’s rarely seen in shoes that aren’t platforms, let alone in flats. But of all the pairs in her collection, the ones she debuted on Instagram this weekend are by far the most impressive.

In photos taken on the set of a shoot for her pre-made cocktails brand Delola, Lopez wears a neutral outfit by Brunello Cucinelli, a Yuzefi tote bag, and the 2023 version of Cinderella’s glass slippers: 6″ Valentino platforms made almost entirely out of clear plexiglass and polymer. The $1700+ pumps are new, though you might recognize the shape as they have been one of the year’s most popular shoes.

Valentino’s Tan-Go platforms debuted alongside a slew of hot-pink looks at the brand’s F/W 22 show. Already they’ve been spotted on Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Blake Lively, Florence Pugh, and Dua Lipa, to name only a few. But leave it to Lopez to be among the first to debut the latest version, which gives new meaning to the naked-shoe trend

Sandal Season Is Here—42 of the Best On the Internet, Period

    [ad_1]

It’s that time of year again—ahem, sandal season. For many, it’s an exciting period where you can finally pack away the tights, put on a fresh coat of nail polish, and step out into the world in a cute pair of open-toe shoes. While the possibility of a whole new realm of footwear choices is exciting, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its own set of challenges. It’s relatively common to fantasize about emerging in the perfect outfit, only to subsequently realize you don’t own the right pair of shoes. And once you do know you’re missing them from your wardrobe, it can be equally daunting to decide what type of sandal fits your needs. Add on top of the fact that there are so many different trends, places to shop, and price points that it can feel impossible to discern whether shoes are worth investing in.

All of this is to say that that former feeling of excitement around frolicking in the sun in a great pair of sandals can quickly switch to exhaustion if you don’t know where to find the best sandals for women. But to keep you from reaching that point, I’ve done some research to identify the 8 most popular types of sandals based on runway trends, influencer outfits, and long-term wearability. Plus, I shopped out the 48 best sandals online right now based on reviews, quality, comfort, various price points, and how stylish they are. Although it takes some convincing to get me out of the house, it takes even more persuasion to get me out in heels. I’m a “comfort over everything” type of person, but sometimes, if the shoe fits, I’ll wear it—literally.

While Who What Wear editors love their tried-and-true trendy heels and platforms, some of the best picks aren’t nearly as expensive as they look. • Sophie Turner Went Pants-Less in a Blazer and Tights and Pulled It Off With Ease

Sophie Turner Went Pants-Less in a Blazer and Tights and Pulled It Off With Ease

    [ad_1]

Sophie Turner must get tired of people telling her that “winter is coming,” but when she wears an outfit like this, can you really blame us? Sophie, winter is here, where are your pants?

All Game of Thrones jokes aside, we’re into this savvy style statement. The actress and mother of two showed off her long legs in a gorgeous Ganni blazer paired with sheer black tights and the most perfect pointy-toe pumps. Given that she shared the photo on Instagram on January first, we have a feeling this was what she wore to ring in the New Year, and she certainly did so in style.

Upon closer inspection, the waist-defining button closure helps to make this garment look more like a dress with lapels, but trust us: it’s a jacket that could just as easily be worn with pants. But that doesn’t mean pants are required (although perhaps strongly suggested if you live somewhere it is currently snowing).

If you’re into the pants-less look, it’s actually quite simple to pull off. Just pair a slightly oversize blazer in a dark hue with matching tights (except nude), and coordinating heels. The entire outfit is probably already in your closet, but just in case, we’ve pulled a few pieces—including the Ganni blazer—that pair perfectly well together as a trio so you can save the pants for a snowy day.
