  • Nicolas Cage Has 2 Adult Sons and an Infant Daughter — Meet Them

Nicolas Cage Has 2 Adult Sons and an Infant Daughter — Meet Them

    [ad_1]

Nicolas Cage is a character, and he’s played some of our favorite characters to date. He’s also been playing the role of dad for over 30 years. Nicolas has two sons, the first of whom was born in 1990, and now he’s even taken on a bigger gig: grandpa to his four grandchildren. Nicolas’s sons have grown up on Hollywood film sets and with famous friends, but they still lead fairly low-key lives, all things told. Nicolas himself doesn’t have an Instagram to share pictures of his kids, but we do catch glimpses of the boys on red carpets and at events.

In 2022, Nicolas’s family grew even more with the birth of his first daughter with wife Riko Shibata, whom he married in February 2021. Of parenting a girl after raising boys, Nicolas told ET in January, “It’s a new adventure.” In general, the “Renfield” star is enjoying those exciting moments of youth with his youngest. He told the outlet, “Reliving the experience of childhood brings it all back, and seeing how she’s discovering new experiences.”

And even though he tries to keep his kids away from his celebrity, he admits sometimes it bleeds through. “Well, when my first son was really little, he used to call me ‘Nicolas Cage,’ so he must have heard it from people,” he told The New York Times in a Nov. 5 interview. “He didn’t call me ‘Dad.’”

Ahead, get to know both of Nicolas’s three children a little bit better.

Weston Coppola Cage was born Dec. 26, 1990. He is Nicolas’s oldest son and his only child with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton. Weston has been in two black metal bands, Eyes of Noctum and Arsh Anubis. At one point, Weston and his mother had their own fashion collection of menswear and womenswear, as well as some accessories. It was called FULCAGE. He’s acted alongside his dad, as well as in roles of his own.

Of his acting, Weston told the Daily Mail in 2019, “My father introduced me to the importance of the many intricacies in acting, the dynamics of it. The importance of delivery, character background study and research. The best acting advice I’ve received is from my father. He told me about the importance of utilizing your imagination, your expressions and voice — a homeostasis of all those things together to really express your character’s desires.”

Weston spent his childhood in the presence of Hollywood legends who were friends of his dad’s — Jim Carrey, Cary Elwes, and others. He flew all over the world at his dad’s side while he took on major film roles, and even said in 2019 that he still has hope for the two of them filming a show together. “I would really love to be on a TV series with my father. That’s something we’ve always liked to do together,” he told the Daily Mail.

Weston also has four children of his own to keep him busy, sons born in 2014 and 2016 and twin girls born in 2020. He often shares pictures of his family on Instagram. Nicolas told People previously of being a grandparent, “I love it. Every second.”

    Kal-El Coppola Cage

Kal-El Coppola Cage was born Oct. 3, 2005. He is Nicolas’s youngest son and his only child with ex-wife Alice Kim. He is, of course, named after Superman, whom Nicolas is a huge fan of. He’s also followed in his dad’s footsteps a bit and landed a voice role in “Teen Titans GO! to the Movies.” Like Weston, Kal-El no doubt spends time with his dad on various film sets when he’s not at home with his mother, whom Nicolas split from in 2016 after over a decade together. Unlike Weston, Kal-El’s life seems to be a little bit more low-key, though, and he seems to mostly stay out of the spotlight.

    August Francesca Coppola Cage

Shibata gave birth to the couple’s first child together, daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage, on Sept. 7, 2022, in Los Angeles. She is named after the actor’s late father. During Shibata’s pregnancy, Nicolas told Access in an April 2022 interview that he was “extremely excited” about welcoming his daughter. And though he hasn’t offered much information about baby August since then, he told Entertainment Tonight at the end of March that the little girl has musical talent. “She’s singing really good songs. Her first song — I was very happy about it — naturally, it was about me,” Nicolas recounted. “She went, ‘Da da da, oun ja, oun ja.’ I thought it was a great song. I’m gonna steal it and I’m gonna get rich off my daughter’s song.”

  • Get to Know Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson’s 2 Kids

Get to Know Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson’s 2 Kids

    [ad_1]

Leslie Odom Jr.’s two kids with fellow Broadway star Nicolette Robinson are quite possibly destined for greatness. With parents who are as unbelievably talented as these two are, we think it’s only inevitable that their daughter and son will follow in their footsteps and become stars themselves — if they want to!

Odom and Robinson, who met in 2008 while working together in LA in “Once on This Island” and married in 2012, make the most of their time together as a family when they’re not working on other projects. They even found time to write a children’s book, called “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know,” which they released in March. “We try to make bedtime end the day in a really positive way,” Robinson told Playbill of the inspiration for the book. “We want our kids to always feel empowered and secure and loved. Ending the day with that before they drift off to sleep is really important. So, we just wanted to contribute something to the book space that reminds kids constantly that they are loved.”

Ultimately, the book was all about reminding their kids how much they’re loved — and that they deserve to love themselves, too. “I think self-love is one of the most important things,” Robinson told Parents in March. “You have to be able to have self-love to love others, to make your way confidently through this world. And I’m still learning; we’re still figuring it out. But I do think that part of that journey for your kids is teaching them how to love and teaching them that they are loved so endlessly no matter what they do.”

The book’s text doubles as lyrics to a song that Odom and Robinson wrote alongside composer Katie Boeck. “I grew up with books on tape. There are still ones that my sister and I quote to each other to this day,” Odom told the outlet. “So this is our version of that. You can read the book as a book, or you can follow along with the song.” Of course, the musically talented couple recorded their own version of the song, and in the official recording, their kids can be heard singing along at the end.

Ahead, check out some of their cutest family photos and get to know their little ones!

  • These 12 Thanksgiving Horror Movies Include Killer Turkeys and Alien Abductions

These 12 Thanksgiving Horror Movies Include Killer Turkeys and Alien Abductions

    [ad_1]

Thanksgiving horror movies may be few and far between, but the ones that are out there are truly something. It makes sense that Thanksgiving would be an oft-forgotten holiday in the horror world — it’s a strictly American holiday that’s supposed to be about giving thanks, which doesn’t necessarily lend itself to ghosts and gore. That hasn’t stopped some filmmakers from using this food-filled holiday as the centerpiece for their thrillers, though.

The Thanksgiving horror films here mostly just use the November holiday as the backdrop for the story rather than as a central piece of the film, but a few of them take the holiday head on. Take “Black Friday,” for example, a zombie film that came out in November 2021. The whole premise is about the biggest shopping day of the year — the day after Thanksgiving. It’s already a scary day for store employees dealing with tons of avid shoppers, which makes it the perfect storyline for a horror movie. Then there’s “Into the Dark: Pilgrim,” which follows a Thanksgiving-themed historical reenactment that goes very, very wrong.

Most of these films are lesser-known indie movies or ones that are a few decades old, giving them even creepier vibes thanks to their low budgets and vintage filming techniques — after all, nothing says scary quite like a lack of CGI and prop blood. Some of them can be found in full on YouTube, but others can be viewed on a variety of streaming services. While these Thanksgiving horror movies may not be optimal viewing with the family on Turkey Day, they could perhaps be a bit of fun on a cozy night in during Thanksgiving week to cut through any meal-prep stress. We know how much work goes into putting together a Thanksgiving meal to feed the family, and a movie might be just what you need as a distraction before the big day. Tuck in, because these are the 13 Thanksgiving horror movies you need to watch right now.

  • Adam Sandler Keeps His 2 Daughters Busy — by Putting Them in His Movies!

Adam Sandler Keeps His 2 Daughters Busy — by Putting Them in His Movies!

    [ad_1]

“Saturday Night Live” vet and comedy movie icon Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie Sandler are all about the movies. The two met on the set of his 1999 film “Big Daddy” and since then, Jackie has continued to have roles in many of Adam’s films. Better yet, Adam and Jackie’s two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, are in the business too, and their star power has only grown through the years.

Adam’s daughters started out in the business with bit parts in his films, including those that his production company, Happy Madison, produced that he was not in. For example, they were both in “The Wrong Missy” on Netflix alongside Jackie. But they took center stage in the new Netflix teen comedy “You’re So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” that hit the streamer on Aug. 25. The movie proves Sadie and Sunny are just as talented and funny as their famous parents and are right at home on the big screen.

Still, Adam has opened up about how his daughters don’t always appreciate his work. During an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” back in April 2017 (when his daughters were just 11 and 9 years old), when asked if he ever screens his films for his children, Adam replied, “They beg to see them. They’re like, ‘Please, it’s not fair! Let me watch your movies. Those people always yell things at you on the street. I don’t know what the heck they’re talking about.’” He continued, “I’d say about 20 minutes in, I see them tuning out, and then I hear them. They’re nervous to say it, but [they’re] like, ‘Can we watch something else?’”

Adam did his best to keep them away from any of his grittier roles, however — namely, his performance in “Uncut Gems.” In 2020, he told Closer Weekly, “I’m nervous about when they’re old enough to see this that they’re going to be disappointed in my behavior.”

For more on Adam and Jackie’s daughters, keep reading.

    Sadie Sandler

Sadie Sandler was born on May 6, 2006. Adam and Jackie had Sadie in Los Angeles three years after they married, and Adam said that becoming a dad changed his life. He told Access soon after Sadie was born that he was terrified while Jackie was in labor, but that he was so excited. “I had a chemical reaction in my body, where I loved the kid so much, and I was so nervous for her, and that’s when I lost my mind for the kid.” He also said that he goes all out for his children, including dressing up to tell them bedtime stories, according to the Irish Examiner.

    Sunny Sandler

Adam and Jackie’s younger daughter, Sunny Sandler, was born on Nov. 2, 2008. Sunny was also born in Los Angeles, where her parents have called home for years. Apart from acting alongside her family, Sunny also sings. Adam has invited his daughters on stage to perform with him, like in 2019 when he accompanied them on guitar while they sang Taylor Swift’s “Lover” together at a benefit concert for Epidermolysis Bullosa.
