THE heartbroken father of a teenager decapitated by Hamas brutes has said the evil terrorists tried to sell his son’s head for £8,000.

Sergeant Adir Tahar, 19, was killed and beheaded in the horror October 7 attacks, before his killers – dubbed “barbarians” by Adir’s father – dumped the head in a freezer.

Israeli troops found Adir’s frozen head two months after he was brutally murdered by Hamas thugs when they bombarded him with grenades on their chilling rampage through southern Israel.

The vicious gunmen removed his head and took it back to Gaza as a sick trophy, according to his devastated father David Tahar.

David spoke to Channel 14 about the tragic story of his brave son’s death as he blasted Hamas’ treatment of his body as “insanely barbaric”.

The father said: “It’s insanely barbaric. The terrorists, the barbarians, they beheaded him and took the head to Gaza.”

After a gruelling two and a half months searching through dead bodies, IDF soldiers finally found Adir’s head stuffed inside a duffel bag filled with tennis balls, according to David.

The terrorists had left it in a freezer in Gaza.

After a strict interrogation with two cowardly Hamas militants, the IDF were told that one of them had tried to sell Adir’s head for $10,000 (£8,000).

David said he knew Adir had died after he saw a video of his child seemingly moments after he had been decapitated.

The father was forced to bury his son’s mutilated body without his head after it couldn’t be found for months.

David remembers his hands shaking as he lifted the lid on the coffin, revealing his worst nightmares come to life.

Adir’s decapitated body was inside but had barely survived the shellings and flying shrapnel from the explosions.

His skin was covered in deep puncture wounds and the horrific mutilation was so bad he couldn’t be identified at first.

Israel needed to use his dog tags and a DNA test to determine whose body it was because the wounds were so severe.

David said: “Half an hour before I buried my child, his body arrived at Mount Herzi. I opened the coffin when I was alone.

“I understood then what I was burying. He was unrecognisable.

“When I buried Adir I knew I was burying my child without an essential part of him.” Then the journey began to search for that missing part.”

After his head was finally found, David buried his son for a second time three weeks later.

Adir was amongst thousands slaughtered by Hamas brutes during the bloody war that has now gone on for over 100 days.

Many of those killed were found decapitated according to Israeli troops.

Hamas and other Gaza militants captured some 250 people and slaughtered 1,200 others during its first deadly attack on southern Israel in October.

More than 100 hostages were released during a temporary truce in November, but over 130 remain held in Gaza.

The IDF released a huge amount of data on the war on Sunday, detailing its operations so far in the Gaza Strip.

It said over 9,000 Hamas terrorists had been killed since October 7, along with around 1,000 terrorists inside Israel.

Meanwhile the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza has said that over 23,000 Palestinian civilians have died during the war.

Israel disputes these figures, while US President Joe Biden previously said he had “no confidence” in them.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that Israel has “not been successful” in reducing civilian casualties.

Israel has faced repeated international calls to relent in it’s attacks on Gaza as it tries to obliterate Hamas.

Calls from the UN for a ceasefire have been echoed by religious leaders including the Pope and even it’s staunchest ally, the US, has warned caution.

But Israeli forces said that months of fighting lie ahead as they attempt to track down and eliminate the terrorists behind the October massacre.

A TERRIFYING war across the Middle East could break out in days after Lebanon’s Hezbollah promised to retaliate after Israel assassinated a top Hamas official.

The killing has sparked fury across the Israeli border and provoked warnings from the United Nations, Lebanon government and France over the potential escalation of an all out war.

Saleh al-Arouri was seen as one of the most powerful members of the terrorist group for his close relationships with Iran and Lebanon – both of which are helping Hamas in their fighting against Israel.

Iran have long been at the forefront of Hamas workings after funding their operations and providing intelligence to the group for decades, according to reports.

Arouri also has close links with Hezbollah – a Lebanese terrorist group seen as one of the most deadly and formidable in the world who also support and back Hamas in their horror attacks on Israel.

The killing of Arouri in Hezbollah’s stronghold could escalate the the war well beyond the Gaza strip because of these strong ties.

In a televised speech in August, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had warned Israel against carrying out any assassinations on Lebanese soil, vowing a “severe reaction”.

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati described the killing as a war crime aimed at Lebanon to drag them deeper into the conflict.

As Izzat Al-Rishq – a member of the Hamas Political bureau – called it a “cowardly assassination by the Zionist occupation”.

Despite Hezbollah threatening to retaliate, they haven’t started to make any moves yet, according to the countries government official Abdallah Bou Habib.

Mr Habib said it would become clear in the next 24 hours if Hezbollah are planning to respond as he voiced his concerns over a potential deadlier war breaking out as Lebanon try to calm down the groups irate leaders.

“We are very concerned. (The) Lebanese don’t want to be dragged, even Hezbollah does not want to be dragged into a regional war,” he said. 

A spokesperson for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon has also voiced deep concerns over a possible escalation of violence after the killing of Arouri.

Kandice Ardiel said her organisation worried about the “devastating consequences” a response from Hezbollah could have for the people of Israel and Lebanon. 

She added: “We continue to implore all parties to cease their fire, and any interlocutors with influence to urge restraint.”

Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack but it did insist the assassination shouldn’t be seen as an attack on Lebanon.

Israeli spokesperson Mark Regev told MSNBC: “Whoever did it, it must be clear that this was not an attack on the Lebanese state.

“Whoever did this did a surgical strike against the Hamas leadership. Whoever did this has a gripe with Hamas. That is very clear.”

The explosion – caused by drone strikes – shook the Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs, which are strongholds of Hezbollah – an ally of Hamas.

Hezbollah has been exchanging near-daily fire with Israel across Lebanon’s southern border since the war began in Gaza.

French president Emmanuel Macron told Israel to try all they can to avoid the war escalating outside of Gaza and spilling across the Middle East. 

Macron told Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz that Israel should stop any escalation “particularly in Lebanon”, in a statement, according to reports.

Fears over what the death of a top official would do to other Hamas members have also been ramped up in recent hours as Hamas’ leader, Haniyeh Ismail, said the movement was “more powerful and determined” following the attack.

He continued: “They left behind them strong men who will carry the banner after them.”

Months before Arouri’s death the evil Hamas chief gave a chilling prediction of his own death.

He told Palestinians that he was waiting to be killed and had already “lived too long”, in a passionate speech urging people to take part in the war he helped to create.

Back in August, Arouri admitted to Palestinians in the West Bank: “I am waiting for martyrdom and think that I lived too long.”

Before two months later all out war broke out as more than 1,400 men, women, and children were killed – and 242 kidnapped – the day Hamas launched its savage attack on Israel.

Following the harrowing October 7, massacre Israel responded and fighting has continued for months as thousands more have died.

Israel have been searching for top Hamas chiefs since the attacks with last nights supposed hit on Arouri being the first time Hamas have said one of their leaders has been eliminated.

Lebanon‘s state-run National News Agency said the senior official died in an explosion caused by an attack on an apartment used as Hamas’ office.

Two other Hamas commanders in Lebanon – Samir Findi Abu Amer and Azzam Al-Aqraa Abu Ammar – were also killed in the precision strike, Al Aqsa TV reports.

Arouri was a senior official in Hamas’s politburo but was known to be deeply involved in its military affairs.

He was one of the founders of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades – Hamas’ military wing – and headed the terrorist group’s presence in the West Bank.

The deputy leader was seen as Hamas’ prime orchestrator of terrorism in the West Bank – and was wanted by Israel for many years.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu had threatened to kill him even before the Hamas bloodbath on October 7, which sparked the ongoing war.

The 57-year-old was also seen as a “global terrorist” in the US for his role as a senior Hamas member and mastermind of the ongoing war.

Israel are still on the hunt for other Hamas leaders including the man dubbed “Gaza’s Bin Laden” Yayha Sinwar after they labelled the disgraced leader “a dead man walking”.

Sinwar has evaded Israeli capture twice in days after escaping through the terror network’s tunnels, according to claims.

Previously, the IDF killed Ahmed Al Ghandour, a senior member of Hamas’ military council who had been in charge for 18 year.

Alongside Ghandour, three other senior officials were also killed, including Wael Rajab, Raf’at Salman and Ayman Siyam.

The IDF also eliminated Wissam Farhat from the Shuja’iya Brigade of the terrorist organisation in a deadly airstrike.

He was among the masterminds of the horror attack on October 7 – and had directed the terrorists to kill and kidnap Israeli civilians from the Nahal Oz Kibbutz.

At least 12 civilians were killed and more than 20 went missing in the horror attack after Farhat ordered for mass shooting in the kibbutz.

THIS is the dramatic moment Israel blew up Hamas’ infamous “Hall of Justice”, where those who went against the terrorists were sentenced to death.

Seven people were sentenced to death by hanging in a single day for “collaborating” with Israel, according to the Gaza Strip’s Hamas-run interior ministry.

Footage being circulated by Israeli media shows the Israel Defence Forces demolish Hamas’ main courthouse – which was captured by troops last month – in a matter of seconds.

An explosion which seemed to have begun on the ground level of the “Justice Palace” caused instant damage as the building crumbled and smoke and rubble billowed in all directions.

The military court regularly issued death sentences to people found guilty of “collaboration” with Israel, including seven in August who allegedly informed on terror groups in Gaza.

Justice Palace said the guilty seven offered names, phone numbers, addresses, and weapons caches to Israel in exchange for money, Palestinian Ma’an news agency reported.

One of the defendants was allegedly given a permit to work in Israel in return for the information he provided.

Hamas has practised capital punishment in the Strip since the group assumed power in 2007 and continuously carried out executions without permission from the Palestinian Authority – despite it being a requirement, under Palestinian law, to get approval for executions.

Twenty-three Palestinians were executed in the Strip by Hamas during its 2014 conflict with Israel, according to Amnesty International, 16 of whom were imprisoned from before the fighting.

The terror group is reported to have issued nine death sentences in 2015 and sentenced another four Gazans to death during the first weeks of 2016 on suspicion of spying.

A man was reportedly executed in February 2016 under allegations of gay sex and theft, before another three men were killed in May 2016.

Hamas later announced 13 more prisoners were to be killed, then hanged three Palestinians in April 2017 over alleged collaboration with Israel.

The group announced another five men were executed in September last year, including two accused of supplying information to Israel.

Gaza’s Hamas-run interior ministry said three of the Palestinians executed had been convicted of murder.

The two “spies” were aged 44 and 54.

The ministry statement said at the time: “The execution was carried out after the conclusion of all legal procedures. The rulings had been final, with implementation mandatory, after all of the convicted were accorded full rights to defend themselves.”

At least 17 death sentences were issued last year in the Gaza Strip, reports Israeli media.

Israel vowed to destroy Hamas after the terror group slaughtered 1,200 men, women, and children and dragged some 240 hostages to Gaza on October 7 in a series of surprise attacks.

Hamas released 105 women and children before a seven-day ceasefire deal collapsed on Friday.

About 160, including two children, are still being held in the enclave.

A WOUNDED Palestinian man looked close to tears as he stood in a hospital and raged that Hamas were “hiding among us”.

The elderly man condemned the terror group for positioning itself in and beneath Gaza’s hospitals – as Israel has long claimed is the case.

In an interview with Qatar-run news channel Al-Jazeera at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Strip’s Deir el-Balah, the wounded man told the reporter: “What is happening is a crime!

“Why is the resistance [Hamas] hiding among us? Why don’t they go to hell and hide there?”

The interviewer then seemed to cut the man off mid-sentence, turning to speak directly to the camera.

As he walked away from the conversation, the wounded man appeared to kick the floor and raise his arms in exasperation.

Hamas is reported to have used multiple hospitals in Gaza for military purposes, with its terrorists supposedly firing at IDF troops from within the al-Aqsa hospital.

Israel Defence Forces ground troops are currently carrying out a “precise and targeted” raid inside Gaza’s largest hospital, al-Shifa, where Israel claims Hamas has placed its command centre and is using patients as human shields.

New footage of the “operation” at al-Shifa has come to light which shows Israeli soldiers storming the complex’s surgical and emergency buildings.

Through smoke, and with the only light coming from the person holding the camera, men dressed in regular clothing can be seen pushing other wounded civilians through the hospital halls on medical stretcher beds.

An entire corridor is lined with stretcher beds, on which people lay ostensibly unconscious.

Children with masks roam the halls and rooms appear almost completely destroyed.

The raid comes after the United States declared it had a “variety of intelligence” which suggested Hamas is using the hospital to run terrorist operations.

National security council spokesman for the White House John Kirby said: “We have information that confirms that Hamas is using that particular hospital for a command and control mode.”

He added the facility is probably being used to store weapons, stating: “That is a war crime.”

Hamas “strongly condemned and rejected” the claims made by the US and accused Biden of giving Israel the “green light” to attack the hospital.

Thousands of patients, doctors and displaced Palestinians have been trapped inside the besieged complex for weeks – and were feared to be caught in the crossfire as battles raged overnight.

A witness told the BBC they saw tanks and hundreds of commandos advance on the medical facility.

The IDF said the operation was a “military necessity” to root out Hamas and revealed this morning it was still engaging in gun battles with the militants and had discovered weapons inside the hospital.

It said: “Before entering the hospital our forces were confronted by explosive devices and terrorist squads, fighting ensued in which terrorists were killed.”

At least five terrorists died in the battle, according to Israeli media.

Harrowing photographs of newborn babies wrapped in makeshift blankets and lying side by side in beds inside al-Shifa Hospital sparked outrage across the world as Israeli troops surrounded the facility.

The World Health Organisation previously warned the hospital was becoming a “cemetery” as dead bodies pile up inside and outside.

Gaza’s health ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qidra, who is inside the hospital compound, said about 100 bodies were decomposing and there was no way to get them out.

He told Reuters: “We are planning to bury them today in a mass grave inside the al-Shifa medical complex.

“It is going to be very dangerous as we don’t have any cover or protection from the ICRC [International Red Cross] but we have no other options – the corpses of the martyrs began to decompose.

“The men are digging right now as we speak.”

Hamas claims 40 patients have died in recent days, including three premature babies whose incubators lost power and crashed during Israel’s raid.

On Tuesday, Israel stepped up its efforts to rescue the 36 babies left on the neo-natal ward.

IDF troops were photographed loading portable, battery-powered incubators into vans in a race against time to save them.

It is hoped they can be moved from the al-Shifa hospital to a safer location as intense street battles continue beyond its walls.

Besieged residents of Gaza are now taking out their anger on their Hamas rulers over the slaughter and misery which has ensued ever since their initial October 7 attacks on Israel.

Hundreds of people in a UN shelter cursed Hamas in scenes unthinkable only a few weeks ago, and called for an end to the war.
