It will be a mostly clear and chilly Halloween night in Charlotte for trick-or-treating hours.
The National Weather Service is predicting cooler temperatures in and around Charlotte for Friday evening.
Overall, the weather service says, there is no threat of rain throughout the day or Friday night. The high is expected to be 61 degrees, with wind gusts reaching 22 mph at the peak, forecasters said.
“Should be a mostly clear, dry, and cool autumn day,” NWS said in a post on X. “Temperatures will fall back into the 50s this evening with light wind, should any of you have outdoor plans.” ’
Temperatures are expected to drop into the 30s by late Halloween night, per the weather service. And winds in the area should be “calm” for kids and families during trick-or-treating.
The NWS indicated that there could be “frost on the pumpkin late tonight” due to falling temperatures.
By Saturday, the weather service is forecasting sunny skies and temperatures in the low 60s in the day and around 42 degrees in the evening.
