Halloween 2025 was another shenanigan-stuffed spookapalooza with big budget costumes, spooky delicious stunners, and Janelle Monáe inching closer to surpassing Heidi Klum as the undisputed Queen of Halloween.

In one of the buzziest moments of the weekend, professional baddie Kayla Nicole shattered social media as Toni Braxton in a recreation of the R&B legend’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” video seemingly aimed at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Naturally, the internet erupted over the now-viral homage to Toni Braxton that doubled as a long-awaited maybe-response to Trayvis that sparked speculation that Kayla fired shots at the engaged couple.

Based on the reactions, it seems like Kayla won this round in the seemingly never-ending feud that Taylor reignited on her latest album The Life of a Showgirl.

There was also some commotion for Nelly’s ’90s West Coast-themed ‘Hall-MO-ween’ pordy where guests rocked their drippiest jheri-wigs, Oakland Raiders hats, and chucks while paying homage to Boyz N The Hood and other iconic moments from the west side.

The sequel to last year’s heehaw hootenany, Nelly’s brazy birthday bash brought out Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, Big Tigger, and more for good vibes, gansta music, and with a splash og gin and juice.

What was your favorite moment of Halloween weekend ’25? Tell us down below and enjoy the funniest, wildest, and messiest tweets, viral videos, and more from the weekend on the flip.

  • Chicago-area Halloween fun kicks off with trick-or-treating, Ravenswood Monster Mash

    [ad_1]

CHICAGO (WLS) — Trick-or-treating and other fun Halloween activities for the whole family are taking place in Chicago and the suburbs on Friday night.

And if you haven’t gotten your pumpkin yet, you can still find them at the Ravenswood Monster Mash on Montrose.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

This is the first year that the Chamber of Commerce is putting on the trick-or-treat event, with all of the businesses on Montrose participating, but they expect that it will become an annual tradition.

It is a good way to load up on candy and other treats, like pizza. Chicago’s Pizza is making ghost pizzas complete with olives for the eyes and pepperoni for the mouth.

Organizers say this event is designed to encourage kids and their parents to enjoy the neighborhood.

“It’s kind of a sure thing. If there’s an event, there will be candy; there will be trick-or-treaters,” said Christina Pecce with the Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce.

ABC7 has seen a bunch of costumed kids and their parents up and down the street there.

Monsters are also guarding the candy in Northbrook.

More than 70 of them surround Howard Wise’s home, attracting visitors from all over.

“OMG it’s crazy. Love it. Absolutely love it. Glad I’m not living next door to it,” said visitor Ann Furby.

Wise stores the creatures in his basement all year. They come out on Halloween, and then go back into hibernation for a year. It’s a family affair.

“Look at it. Everybody loves it. It’s just a great thing to do,” Wise said.

He has been putting all of this together for more than a decade. However, he says this could be it. His son is going off to college next year, and it is too much on his own. Although, he has a lot of people trying to convince him to keep it going.

In Oak Park, the nice weather drew ghosts, goblins and every other character one could imagine to go door-to-door, asking for treats.

Chopper 7 also found busy trick or treaters going door-to-door in west suburban Hinsdale and in northwest suburban Schaumburg.

  • Why Are Halloween Costumes So Specific This Year?

    [ad_1]

Americans are set to spend a record $13.1 billion on Halloween expenses this year—$1.5 billion more than last year. About $2 billion of that is expected to be spent on adult costumes. But while you’ll probably still spot plenty of ghost, vampire, and cat costumes at this year’s Halloween parties, you may also find yourself bobbing for apples alongside some very niche and obscure pop culture references—like “Chicken Jockey” or the “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” meme.

“With the rise of fan cultures and more direct engagement through social media, costumes have become more character-driven,” pop culture historian and author Roy Shwartz says. According to Google Trend’s Frightgeist analysis, this year’s top costume ideas were inspired by KPop Demon Hunters, with characters from Hamilton, Wicked, and Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax making the top 10. And expect to see plenty of Labubus.

Dressing as a celebrity or a pop culture character is nothing new of course, but when you’re trying to go viral on social media, the stakes are raised. “Today we get to see the best viral videos come to life, or the latest TikTok dances,” says Peter Coyle, owner of Halloween experiential venue Halloween House in New Jersey. “Social media has also influenced how costumes are made, with more emphasis on photo ops,” Schwartz told Inc. “So they’ve become more detailed, with greater realism or with more striking special effects.”

“Creativity is nurtured more in today’s society, and now you can show it to tens of thousands and more due to social media,” Coyle says.

While some costumes go viral for their uncanny resemblance to the original, others go viral for their ingenuity and specificity.

Remember the “Alexander, come back to sleep” and “Let it grow” trends, popular earlier this year on social? Probably not, unless you’re chronically online. But those are both costumes.

For slightly less obscure cultural costume ideas, consider dressing as a New York rat reacting to the city’s Rat Tzar, or a “performative male” sporting a matcha latte and feminist literature in their back pocket.

Despite many Halloween revelers looking to become viral hits, others want to fit in with their community, embracing hyper-niche costumes nodding to specific cultural moments. An internet trend known as “Gay Halloween” takes niche to an extreme. The idea is for only a handful of people to understand your reference.

“Folks in the LGBTQ community, especially those who are Millennials and Gen-Z, use Halloween as an opportunity to put on a costume that reflects a viral meme, TikTok challenge, or an of-the-moment television character,” Robert Conner told Inc.

The Washington, D.C.-based public relations manager is throwing a Gay Halloween party with his boyfriend. There, if you’re lucky to snag an invite, you might run into someone dressed in a trench coat and ballet flats accompanied by a curly-haired girlfriend, a reference to the now infamous “trench coat buttoned to the top” Lilly-Rose Depp meme, or a costume that somehow evokes the viral “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” meme.

“Halloween gives lots of people an excuse to express a deeper part of themselves that they may not show on an everyday basis,” Coyle says. “On Halloween, you can dare to be different.”

Just make sure that being different doesn’t involve guts and gore. Coyle notes that scary is out: “Killers aren’t cool. Doing the ‘floss’ dance while dressed up like someone from Fortnite is cool. Being clever and lighthearted is much cooler than just doing creepy stuff.”

  • 9 Scary Workplace True Stories for Halloween

    [ad_1]

It’s the spookiest day of the year, and often a nightmare for HR professionals who have to handle people who show up to work costumed as terrorists, wearing blackface, or dressed as Adolf Hitler.

But it’s not only costumes that can be spooky. Sometimes the scary thing isn’t a bad choice by an employee but something that seems genuinely unexplainable. Here are nine true stories from spooky workplaces.

    The grabby ghost

People and work strategist Robin Schooling shared:

One of my favorite no-call, no-show resignation stories:

Manager: “What happened? We haven’t seen you in four days.”

Employee: “I was working Thursday night and saw a ghost in the kitchen. It grabbed my ankle. I can’t come back.”

(And thus… he left and never returned….)

    The old hospital ghosts

    An anonymous HR professional shared:

Our office is on the grounds of and built with recycled brick from an old hospital. Many times, while in the bathroom, you hear footsteps in front of the stalls that lead to the sink, and then the motion sensor paper towel dispenser goes off.

Many CCTV still shots of ghostly figures in the halls.

    The cursed desk

    HR consultant Stacy Dennis shared:

We had a desk that whoever sat at it would be fired. 🫣It was a cursed desk.

The Halloween prank that went south

    Career adviser Chris Hogg shared:

I worked in an aerospace company (think engineers, think Dilbert) where every Halloween, people, if they so chose, dressed up in costumes. It was a long-standing tradition, and many, but not everybody, dressed up.

One year, an engineer dressed up as a gorilla, head to toe.

So there were about five of us standing around a coffee station, when the gorilla-guy, with only the costume head on, came up behind a secretary (in her 40s) and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around… and screamed… loud enough to be heard in the next county… grabbed her chest… threw her coffee in the air… and backed/crashed into a nearby filing cabinet.

Needless to say, the engineer ripped off the gorilla head, apologized profusely, while I imagine visions of him being hauled away and charged with manslaughter danced around in his head.

Later that day, he and I were talking, and he told me he would never, never, never-ever again put on a Halloween costume.

I’m pretty sure he never did.

    The puppy ghost

    HR consultant Katie Tanner shared:

Been in skilled nursing for a while.

Lots of stories of “people surrounding patients” during their final breaths, or patients “talking to walls” and then saying it was a loved one.

In one of the nursing homes, there is a “puppy” ghost that roams the halls barking and “licking the hands” of the patients. (I swear I heard it a few times when I was there.)

    The movie theater ghost

Senior HR professional Tim Baker shared:

Years ago, before my HR days, I was the general manager of a large Cineplex Movie Theatre in the Greater Toronto Area. This is back in the day of “film projectors.” We had 14 cinemas in the building, so the projection booth was huge and divided into two sides—east and west. Needless to say, at 2 a.m. while closing down the projection booths, it was quite spooky—a long dark corridor with several projectors. And typically, only two of us were left in the building. Ghost stories were aplenty.

One night, I went up alone to close the west booth. I was shutting down a projector, and someone called me from the end of the corridor. I distinctly heard my name. It could only have been the other manager. When I walked in that direction, nobody was there. And then the other manager came walking toward me from the other direction. There is no way he could have run down the stairs, across half the building, and back up the other stairs in that time frame.

I felt the blood run from my face, and I felt cold. He asked what was wrong. I just said, “Let’s get out of here.” He knew what I meant, and we left. I didn’t tell him about it until the next day.

    The laughing ghost

    HR professional Stacie Racho-Ortiz shared:

My Tribe’s casino is built right next to the cemetery, and the guard shack is at the bottom of the hill. When the graveyard security would work in the guard shack, they would experience sounds, laughing, hearing steps next to the shack.

    The stocking-stealing ghost

    An anonymous HR professional shared:

I worked in a psychiatric hospital, and the HR offices were in the building that was the female ward. There was talk of if you were in the basement alone, one female would tug on your hair. I was watching security footage around Christmas time, and there were stockings that had been hung up on the wall for about three weeks. Twice, we saw those stockings, one by one, slide off the wall and halfway down the hallway 😬. People also saw a female figure in the attic window.

And for some people, perhaps the scariest chair of all (and for others, the best chair of all)

    HR consultant Michelle Vernon shared:

We once had a pregnancy chair—whoever had it as their designated chair fell pregnant. 😊 Does that count as spooky?

    Happy Halloween, everyone!

Just to put some well-deserved respect on JOANN’s *GOT DANG* name…it needs to be stated that the fabric store was founded 82 years ago in Ohio. Read that again. 82 YEARS AGO.

JOANN Fabrics was established in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and forty fucking three, just to have SSH Holdings plaster a neon orange sign over their corpse and sell the shittiest quality costumes known to man.

  • Yes, ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Halloween costumes are in DC – WTOP News

    [ad_1]

As “KPop Demon Hunters” became the most-watched original title in Netflix’s 18-year history, it shouldn’t be a total surprise that Google announced the top five searched 2025 Halloween costumes are all from the show.

Yes, ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Halloween costumes are in DC

Since its release in June, “KPop Demon Hunters” has become the most-watched original title in Netflix’s 18-year history. So, it shouldn’t be a total surprise that Google announced the top five searched Halloween costumes of 2025 are all from the show.

But, it was a surprise to the Halloween costume industry, according to Lorenzo Caltagirone, the owner of Total Party.

Total Party, which Caltagirone said is D.C.’s only party and costume shop, is known as Total Fright during the Halloween season. The shop recently moved from Crystal City to the food court level of L’Enfant Shops, under the International Spy Museum.

“It was such a late, unforeseen hit,” Caltagirone said.

Luckily, he was able to have some “KPop Demon Hunters” costumes made in a Chinese factory and had it air-freighted over.

“We got slammed with the 30% tariff, but a lot of people are not even flinching,” Caltagirone said.

The children’s costumes are $60 and the ones for adults are even more costly — plus, the wings are another $50.

“It’s on fire right now. We get calls every single day, multiple times a day, and we actually have a list of customers we have to call back,” Caltagirone said.

Rumi is currently the costume that is in stock at Total Party, but Caltagirone said he’ll have costumes for other characters on Monday and Tuesday.

  • 5 Halloween Costumes Inspired By K-Pop Demon Hunters

    [ad_1]

We think it’s safe to say that K-Pop Demon Hunters is one of the best things to ever come out of 2025. Most of the movie soundtrack will make it into our Spotify Wrapped, to be sure. And we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve rewatched this incredible animated movie that took the Internet by storm.

As we near the Halloween season (or should we say “THPloween”), we’re more than happy to cook up some costume ideas inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters. There are, of course, the option to cosplay as any of the characters from the movie. But here are just a few more K-Pop Demon Hunters-inspired costume ideas for you to consider this Halloween!

    Soda Can x Ramen Cup

Our first costume idea inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters is a soda can and ramen cup duo. We all know the Saja Boys’ iconic ‘Soda Pop’ jingle by heart at this point. And we can only hope that there’s no shortage of soda can costumes out there. You can grab a partner and dress them up as Huntrix’s ramen cup, found in one of the most meme-worthy scenes ever. Bonus points if the two of you can get ready for Halloween in three minutes flat…We’re timing you!

    Lion x Huntress

This Halloween costume idea plays with the symbols between the two main groups in K-Pop Demon Hunters. You or a bestie can dress up as a lion to represent the Saja Boys’ pride, complete with a mane, tail, and set of paws. On the flip side, you can rock a killer huntress (HUNTR/X) stage outfit, on the hunt for demons and (fake) lions alike. If you’re feeling extra creative, channel your inner Rumi, Mira, or Zoey and try crafting a personalized demon hunting weapon for yourself!

    Vacation-Mode Bobby, Mira, & Zoey

Workaholics, this one’s for you! If you’re running out of time to come up with a K-Pop Demon Hunters-inspired costume for Halloween, you can put this one together pretty easily. Just find a fluffy white robe (a 34 short or whatever your size is), add a face mask or hair towel wrap, and you’ve got vacation-mode Bobby, Mira, and Zoey! To add some more flair to this costume, feel free to put together the ultimate snack tray for your party while chanting “couch, couch, couch!” all night.

    Sleeping Bag

This costume idea is a nod to Mira’s Met Gala appearance, where she’s absolutely slaying in a sleeping bag that speaks for itself. But it also doubles as a reference to the Saja Boys camping outside of Huntrix’s fansign event so they can be the first ones to enter. You can do this costume solo or with a group. Just remember that only one of you gets to sit in a chair at any time while everyone else has to fend for themselves sitting on the ground. (IYKYK)

    All Gold Everything

We’re always trying to think outside the box for our annual THPloween costumes. So, what if you dressed up as the K-Pop Demon Hunters honmoon itself? Walk with us. Imagine the shiniest, most golden costume you can find. It can be anything from a ballgown or satin dress to a jacket or poncho. Glittery lines and shimmery details are a plus! Accessorize with as much gold jewelry as you can find, and you’re well on your way to sealing the honmoon.

    64 Funny Group Halloween Costumes

The true spirit of Halloween isn’t just carving jack-o’-lanterns or getting cavities (though both can be fun). It’s about gathering together, celebrating imagination, and sussing out who’s secretly the funniest person in the friend group. And while a well thought-out solo Halloween costume can be epic, there’s an underrated magic to conspiring with a whole crew to craft the funny group costumes of your dreams that get referenced in the group chat for years to come.

Whether you’re looking to win the office costume contest or you and a few besties want to cosplay as an iconic group of four, there’s no shortage of pop culture inspiration to get the giggles (and your creative juices) flowing.

To devise the perfect funny group Halloween costume, start with deciding on the size of your group. Trio Halloween costumes are easiest to wrangle, five-person Halloween costumes are a little tougher, and anything larger runs the risk of being a hassle if you don’t keep the assignment relatively simple. But lucky for you and your crew, we’ve rounded up loads of ideas inspired by movies and TV shows, pop culture events from the last year, sports, politics, and everything in between.

But let’s say you put in all the effort, and then suddenly your third pulls out last-minute. Check out these costumes that are suited for pairs, with ideas for best friends, couples, brothers, and sisters.

A memorable, funny group costume doesn’t necessarily require a lot of effort, just some creativity and coordination. Check out our list below for some devilishly good Halloween outfit inspiration.

  • Halloween Costumes Inspired By Celebrities

    Halloween Costumes Inspired By Celebrities

    [ad_1]

Now that it’s October, I’m accepting that it’s officially fall. I’m leaning into pumpkin-flavored baked goods, I put out my decor, and I’m rewatching old Disney favorites like Twitches.

But also, this means I have to stress over what costume I’m gonna wear. I actually despise Halloween for the sheer fact that I have to wear a costume. I’m great at dressing up (in designer) not (in costume).

It’s a weeks’ long debate that inevitably ends with me struggling to find a last-minute Halloween costume. I do not wear what everyone else wears, probably because I’m a Leo, so I want my costume to be a little niche.

In the spirit of being less of a procrastinator and more proactive, I’ve committed to choosing what I want to be for Halloween now. Yes, early October, so I can take my time and find what I really want to wear.

However, this isn’t easy. If you go to TikTok, there’s a 50% chance that someone else at the party will be wearing the same thing as you. So, you kind of have to relinquish that dream and embrace it.

If you’re like me and trying to find a good costume a bit early this year…let’s get through this battle together. Whether you need a group costume, something for you and your significant other, or just a solo moment, it’s easy to pick a celeb and copy their style as a costume.

Let’s take a look at some of the best celebrity-inspired Halloween costumes for 2024!

    Travis Kelce

For boys, Travis is an easy option for those with a girlfriend who wants them to dress up. I get how it may feel like you have a gun to your head if you aren’t a Chiefs fan, but this is the easier option compared to others.

To be Trav yourself, you just need a pair of jeans, a jersey or Kelce-related shirt. Literally, that’s it. You know what they say: happy wife, happy life! Bonus points if you grow a mustache in time.

Here are my picks for a Travis Kelce Halloween costume:

    Taylor Swift

And for each Travis, there should be a Taylor. For Swift you can go with many different styles — or should I say eras? — depending on your mood. Which is good news for those who hate wearing the same thing as others and bad news for the people who are bad at making decisions.

If you want to go with something matching your Travis, wear a Taylor Swift gameday outfit. But if you want to go with a Classic Taylor, choose one of her tour looks or something fabulous from her music videos.

This is my favorite Taylor Swift Halloween costume:

    Sabrina Carpenter

I’m warning you now: this will be a popular costume this year. Sabrina’s one of the breakout popstars of the year, and as she’s currently still on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, her star is only growing.

To achieve the best Sabrina Carpenter look, all you need are short skirts and corsets…and no costume would be complete without sky-high platform heels.

Capture that me espresso with this Sabrina Carpenter:

    Barry Keoghan

And you can’t have a Sabrina without her Barry! Saltburnstar Keoghan — alongside heartthrob Jacob Elordi — stole hearts in Emerald Fennel’s film…but his relationship with Sabrina has been all we can talk about lately!

The Irishman is known for wearing his signature tracksuits, while also being a bit of a fashion icon himself. If you don’t want to go too crazy this Halloween, I’d stick to a track jacket.

Another easy look is Barry in the Please, Please, Please video. You can achieve this look with these items:

    Rihanna

Rihanna is iconic. She’s had many memorable fashion moments, including that famous flaming red hair. If you’re in the mood to wear a wig, Rihanna is a terrific option. Plus, it’s a solid way to manifest her next album (I hope).

If you’re pregnant, her Super Bowl halftime performance outfit is a great pick! Even better, if it’s how you’re announcing it! But, if you want to be the Fenty founder for Halloween, here are some easy picks:

    A$AP Rocky

You had to have known this was coming. A$AP is Rihanna’s longtime boo and again, another male fashion icon. The duo serve major looks, which shouldn’t surprise you. But that means your A$AP Rocky costume consists of dressing really nice.

Or, controversially, you could be A$AP Rocky in Lana Del Rey’s “National Anthem” music video. If you think that’s the more fun option, here is how you can steal the look:

    Charli XCX

BRAT Summer to BRAT Fall. While Charli baby rages on tour with Troye Sivan, you can channel your inner BRAT queen this Halloween. Charli’s look is a little similar to Sabrina’s, but also a little less girly, and a little more grunge.

So grab a pleated miniskirt and crop a white tee. The Charli XCX look is actually an extremely comfortable Halloween costume that can be recycled on a later date…because I hate buying a costume and never touching it again.

Here are some BRAT outfits for your BRAT Halloween:

    Hailey Bieber

Would it be a celeb-inspired Halloween costume list without queen Hailey herself? New mom Hailey is such a fashion icon and our ultimate influencer. Without Hailey, we probably wouldn’t give a hoot about Kosas Concealer and we definitely wouldn’t have rhode skin.

She has a bunch of stylish outfits you can replicate — and for far less money than Hailey paid. But this is a super simple Hailey Bieber costume:

    Justin Bieber

And to round out the list, we have The Biebs himself. You knew it was coming. And we’ve seen many phases of Justin Bieber, so picking a costume should be a breeze.

Male or female, Justin Bieber is a popular Halloween costume. I’ve seen girls dress up as “Baby” era Bieber and boys dress up as current Justin. Either way, he’s a terrific celebrity to dress up as— especially if you have a Hailey joining you this All Hallows Eve.

Here is a simple Justin Bieber costume:

  • Dress As Your Favorite Pop Girl With These Halloween Costumes

Dress As Your Favorite Pop Girl With These Halloween Costumes

    [ad_1]

The leaves are falling, the decorations are going up, and Halloween is just around the corner. In our experience, there are two ways to celebrate Halloween: planning your costume in August and waiting until October 30th. If you’re the latter, let this article be your sign to plan now. To make it easier for you, we’ll do most of the work. If you love this year’s pop girls, why not be one for Halloween? We have a few ideas for you.

    Sabrina Carpenter

We know when we said pop girls, many of your minds went straight to Sabrina. With such a distinct look, there is no shortage of Sabrina Halloween costumes. Now that the Short n’ Sweet Tour has started, you can make your own version of tour outfits (the black bodysuit, the pink babydoll dress, etc.), and add a fur coat. But we can’t stop thinking about the looks from the ‘Taste’ music video. A version of her blue gingham look with a bloody wound would be the perfect combination of pop girl glamour and Halloween horror. Bonus points if you and a friend do matching Sabrina and Jenna Ortega costumes!

    Chappell Roan

Of course, Chappell Roan is another example of peak theatrics. The cover of The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is Chappell in drag, and the blue dress, sash, curly red hair, and tiara are begging to be a Halloween costume. If you wanted to go a little farther into Chappell lore, you could use one of her tour themes: midwest princess, ‘pink pony club,’ ‘my kink is karma,’ and ‘super graphic ultra modern girl.’

    Charli XCX

We have to be a little more creative for Charli XCX, who might not have as much of a signature look. But we are so determined to add the pop girl of the summer, so we’ll do our best. Like with Sabrina, you could pick a look from the Sweat Tour (here’s another duo costume idea with Charli and Troye Sivan, or even Charli and Lorde). Or if you’re worried about being recognizable, you could just throw on all lime green and call it Brat Halloween.

    Olivia Rodgrio

We’re willing to bet a few of our readers attended Olivia’s Guts Tour this year. True, Guts came out before Halloween last year, and perhaps some readers already showed off these looks. But for those that didn’t, you have another chance! The ‘bad idea, right?’ music video look is iconic every year. And you could also do the bangs and a black dress for ‘obsessed’ (a new option for this year).

    A Secret Fifth Option…

We simply don’t have time to list all the costume possibilities. Take inspiration from whoever your favorite artist is. Taylor fans can use an Eras Tour look, or a Tortured Poets Department music video look. Phoebe Bridgers fans can be a skeleton. And groups of five can be 2010 One Direction. So many possibilities.

Let us know if you have any other pop girl costume ideas, and be sure to send us pictures of your costumes at @thehoneypop on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!

Halloween might have come and gone, but Kendall Jenner channeled a true icon with a look that you can (and should) wear long after All Hallow’s Eve. Dressing as Marilyn Monroe, Jenner chose a slim black turtleneck from Intimissimi. Though many choose to pay homage to Monroe by wearing her famous white halter dress, Jenner looked to another one of the late icon’s outfits by recreating Monroe’s “Life” magazine shoot from 1953, photographed by Alfred Eisenstaedt.

In an Instagram carousel captioned “happy birthday mister president,” Jenner wore a blonde wig, custom diamond drop earrings from Costolo Studio, and fashioned her makeup nearly exactly like the retro bombshell used to, winged eyes and all. Though only barely visible in one Instagram shot, the model styled the classic top with a pair of bright white pixie pants.

Just last March, Jenner wore a boatneck top from the same lingerie design house; her look went viral and completely sold out, so it’s a sure bet that you should shop this turtleneck look now, before you miss your chance.

Keep scrolling to check out Jenner’s classic Halloween look and shop not only her exact Intimissimi black turtleneck, but also others quite similar. Whether you’re looking to channel Monroe, Jenner, or simply shopping for a great cold-weather layer as the temperature begins to drop, you’re bound to find something that works ahead.

See Kendall Jenner’s Best Halloween Costumes Over the Years

As one of the fashion industry’s most famous models, with access to any stylish look her heart desires, wardrobe expectations are high for Kendall Jenner — especially on Halloween. But the “Kardashians” star has proven, year after year, that she’s more than up to the challenge. Whether she’s attending a red carpet soiree or just dressing up for an impromptu Instagram photo shoot, Jenner’s Halloween costumes are always impressive and well thought out, from her hairstyle down to her choice of footwear.

Jenner’s job basically requires her to play dress-up, so it stands to reason that she would fully commit to her costume on the most haunting day of the year. She usually collaborates with her stylist on her Halloween fashion moments, sourcing looks from vintage stores and mass retailers alike.

Over the years, she’s transformed herself into everything from a Super Mario Brother — a collaboration with Hailey Bieber — to Karl Lagerfeld, where she made use of a sparkly bodysuit. While she often chooses costume ideas you may recognize, she’s not adverse to more obscure references, dressing up as a goth glamour girl in a latex dress and choker, or an ’80s fashion guru complete with bike shorts and lace, fingerless gloves. Her most memorable look yet was a pink Halloween costume; she dressed up as a Fembot from “Austin Powers” in a poufy lace babydoll dress that stole the spotlight.

No matter which costume direction she chooses, Jenner is committed to being an endless source of costume inspiration. Check out her best Halloween outfits ahead, and get a head start on planning your own costume.

Hailey Bieber staged an epic Halloween costume this year, channeling Carmen Electra’s Drew Decker from the 2000 film “Scary Movie.” Wearing a white lace underwire bra and matching briefs, Bieber posed like Electra did in the unforgettable scene when she was running for her life, being chased through a garden by the movie’s villain. Bieber took to Instagram to share a series of images, captioning the post “SCARY MOVIE 👻👻👻‼️”

Within the carousel, Bieber recreated Electra’s “Scary Movie” look, wearing a white ribbed V-neck cardigan and holding a phone to her ear. Her makeup channels the lustrous trends of the retro decade, with her shoulder-length blond hair perfectly swept in toward her chin.

Though Bieber’s scantily-clad Halloween costume might have been a near-perfect representation of Electra’s early-aughts character, the bra and brief set actually work quite well for everyday wear. And Bieber has made it particularly easy to snag her look, as she tapped Victoria’s Secret to custom make her bright white set.

Bieber’s look is, for now, one-of-a-kind but shop a similar look from Victoria’s Secret, along with other beloved lingerie brands that allow you to steal this iconic style. Ahead, check out Hailey Bieber’s “Scary Movie” style, and shop the look for yourself to wear well after Halloween has come and gone.

  • High School Teacher’s Satan Costume Causes A Hell Of A Controversy

High School Teacher’s Satan Costume Causes A Hell Of A Controversy

    [ad_1]

A high school teacher in Mesa, Arizona, has been suspended after a few students were reportedly spooked by the educator’s Spirit Week costume: The devil himself.

When students showed up at the unidentified teacher’s classroom last week, they found the teacher wearing devil horns and carrying a pitchfork, according to Mesa NBC affiliate KPNX.

As each student entered the class, the teacher reportedly waved the pitchfork over their head and said, “Hail Satan.”

Sophomore Nathaniel Hamlet told the station that while some students thought the teacher’s antics were funny and others just blew it off, he personally didn’t appreciate it for religious reasons.

“I said, ‘Don’t do that to me,’ and I pushed [the pitchfork] away, maybe three or four times, and he still said it and still did it,” Hamlet told KPNX.

The unidentified teacher told the station that the Satan costume was part of a Halloween-themed Spirit Week.

“Participating in spirit weeks like this is a way for me to engage with my students and bring fun to my classroom,” the teacher said. “It’s truly not any more complicated than that.”

But Hamlet didn’t agree and told his dad, former Mesa Public School board candidate Chris Hamlet, who reported the incident to the school’s principal.

“I was livid because I am a Christian as well, obviously,” Chris Hamlet told KPNX. “What really tipped it over for me is he kept telling him no, and he and the teacher kept persisting.”

As a result, the teacher was taken out of the classroom the next day and put on paid administrative leave, according to a statement the Mesa Public Schools District gave to HuffPost.

“Mesa Public Schools administration was notified of the alleged incident at Mesa High School late Wednesday afternoon after school hours.

“Our Human Resources department began the investigation Thursday morning and placed the teacher on paid administrative leave pending the result of the investigation.

    “The investigation remains ongoing.”

Nathaniel Hamlet told KPNX he thinks the suspension is fair but said the teacher “did it repeatedly to everyone, so I feel like you should probably get fired.”

Chris Hamlet agreed with his son. “If you’re gonna keep the Christian stuff out, then you got to keep the devil-worshiping stuff out, period,” he said.

The devil was not able to be reached for comment.

Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and More Models Who Go All Out For Halloween

    [ad_1]

Models like Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, Andreja Pejic, and Marquita Pring are known for going all out with their Halloween costumes. For these spooky-season moments, they’ll work with stylists, who usually dress them for the red carpet or street style outings in between shows at Fashion Week. That collaborative process enables them to take the most mundane characters and costumes — like a standard vampire or schoolgirl — to the next level, adding unique twists to personalize their looks.

Most of the time, this party crowd attends multiple Halloween parties in one weekend, offering double or triple the inspiration for DIYing a costume at home. And they use their fashion connections to elevate their costumes, whether they collaborate with a latex designer or borrow intricately crafted accessories to bring their looks to life.

From Martha Hunt’s ’90s pop culture moment as Angelina Jolie’s Lisa from “Girl, Interrupted” to Taylor Hill’s grandpa look, complete with corduroys and an argyle sweater, there are even a lot of outfits here you can put together with pieces you’ve already got in your closet. And for the rest — consider Kendall Jenner’s cotton-candy-pink fembot or Gigi’s Sandy from “Grease,” for example — you’ll just have to get creative with glam beauty to overemphasize your intended statement.

Ahead, find 22 examples of supermodels who consistently achieve a well-thought-out Halloween costume year after year, then check out these slightly more appropriate costumes for the office or warm Halloween costumes, if you’re outdoors.
