  • The Best Fashion Moments From the 2026 Golden Globes Red Carpet

You might still be easing into 2026, but awards season is already out in full force. In a twist from the usual schedule, the calendar kicked off with the Critics’ Choice Awards, and just a week later, it’s time for arguably one of the most fun ceremonies of the season: the Golden Globe Awards.

The Golden Globes celebrate the best in the film and television industry; this year, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another garnered the most nominations for a film with nine, closely followed by Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, which netted eight noms. The White Lotus leads the pack with six television nods, tailed by Adolescence with five.

Tonight, the Golden Globes return to the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, with Nikki Glaser once again taking on hosting duties in a repeat from last year. The 83rd Golden Globe Awards also mark the first time that podcasts will be honored, as this year the show is introducing a Best Podcast category. So far, announced presenters include Amanda Seyfried, Ana de Armas, Ayo Edebiri, Charli XCX, Chris Pine, Colman Domingo, Connor Storrie, Dakota Fanning, Dave Franco, Diane Lane, George Clooney, Hailee Steinfeld, Hudson Williams, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Joe Keery, Judd Apatow, Julia Roberts, Justin Hartley, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Hart, Kyra Sedgwick, Lalisa Manobal, Luke Grimes, Macaulay Culkin, Marlon Wayans, Melissa McCarthy, Mila Kunis, Miley Cyrus, Minnie Driver, Orlando Bloom, Pamela Anderson, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Sean Hayes, Snoop Dogg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett and Zoë Kravitz.

The evening always begins with a dazzling red carpet, when A-list guests arrive in their finest fashions. The Golden Globes tend to offer a more exciting spectacle in terms of style; it’s still a black tie event, but it’s not as buttoned-up as, say, the Academy Awards, which is why it’s one of our favorite red carpets of the entire year. Take a look at all the best, most fashionable moments from the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet.

Hailee Steinfeld Dishes on Beau Society, Having a Bob Summer, & the Product She Can’t Live Without

    [ad_1]

Whether it’s long hair, a bob, or something in between—there’s nothing Hailee Steinfeld can’t pull off. We’ve witnessed her slay in elegant updos and stunning red carpet looks, and she’s constantly setting the bar higher. The triple threat is always at the top of her beauty game. When she’s not filming blockbuster movies, she’s maintaining that gorgeous glow with her skincare routine. And because of her recent partnership with Neutrogena, Hailee has been taking preventative steps to ensure her skin looks youthful for as long as possible. Even though some of us might be convinced we’re too young to worry about aging, Hailee is here to humbly remind us that’s sadly not the case.

The fact of the matter is, you lose up to 1% of your collagen every year in your 20s. “There’s no way,” Hailee said when she first heard this. So even if your skin is looking the best it’s ever looked, there’s no harm in planning ahead. At 27, Hailee has already accomplished so much in her career—and she doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Needless to say, Hailee is hoping to preserve her skin cells for as long as possible, so she added Neutrogena’s new Collagen Bank to her morning and nighttime skincare routine. And with that, all she has left to worry about is her next cryptic Instagram post.

A week ago, Hailee vaguely teased a new project titled “Beau Society” on her Instagram. Naturally, all of her fans were extremely confused. Although Hailee’s stressful Instagram posts might’ve caused her stans to lose extra collagen, she still feels the love. And as someone that’s proudly claimed her Filipino heritage, Hailee has taken note of how her fans in the Philippines constantly show up for her. In an era where it’s easier than ever for fans to communicate with their idols, Hailee was looking for new ways to reach her followers (or family, as she often calls them). Because she’s such a chronically-offline celebrity, Hailee has realized social media isn’t the best place to connect with her followers. So as a solution, she’s dreamed up Beau Society.

You recently teased Beau Society on your Instagram, and it left fans very confused. Is there anything you can share with us about what’s to come?

I will start by saying that people know I tend to throw a cryptic post there. So apologies for the confusion that it has caused. But, Beau society—I’m launching a newsletter, and I’m so excited about it. This has been a personal passion project of mine for years, and I’m so excited that it’s finally out in the world. I created it because I wanted to start a way to communicate and connect with people who have been following me since the very beginning, sort of away from social media.

As a Filipino, I’ve always admired how you proudly represent us. With Carlos Yulo winning a gold medal for the Philippines and so many rising Filipino stars, are there any recent moments that have made you especially proud to be Filipino?

First of all, how amazing was Carlos Yulo. That was so exciting to watch. I saw a gif of somebody screaming and it was like, ‘Everyone in the Philippines.’ I was like ‘everyone here too, because that’s me.’ He’s so young too, and it’s so inspiring to watch. What an exciting moment for the Philippines. So, with the cryptic teasing of Beau Society, it’s been the first time in several months that I’ve been active on social media, and working to connect with my people again—my followers, my family, really. That’s how I always refer to them—and I love nothing more than when I see my fans from the Philippines, they come in so hot, and they’re so vocal, and they’re so supportive. And that’s one thing I love. That’s just in our blood as Filipinos, there’s love and support that’s unwavering. And I’m so grateful they’re part of my community.

Since you chopped off your hair, are you officially declaring it a bob summer? Do you like your short hair better than your long hair?

Oh, I love it all the same. I love my long hair, but this needed to happen. I got to a point where I was like, ‘I need the change.’ And for the longest time with my hair—I had bangs at one point, which, you know, started out great and then didn’t end up so good. And I started to play around with coloring my hair a little, which was fun, but also a very slippery slope, as many know. But for a long time, I was like, ‘What can I do to my hair that, will give me a sense of change and freshness that isn’t chopping it off, that isn’t cutting bangs, and that isn’t coloring it,’ and that left me with pretty much no options. So you know what? I had gotten to a point where I was like, ‘It’s time. Let’s do it.’ And I love it so, so much.

Once it starts to grow out, are you planning to go back to the long hair, or will you keep the bob?

Well if I’m being honest, I got a cut again last week. The awkward stage is very, very real. I was joking with my girlfriends—that will be the reason I will have short hair forever. Once it kind of grazes the shoulder, it’s not good for me. So we’ll see what ends up happening. But I’m really enjoying the short hair for now.

This is something I’ve always loved to do—I take an eyeliner, or they have little pens for them now, and go over my beauty marks after I’ve done any sort of coverage. I also love the faux freckle trend, even though I haven’t done it personally. I think it’s so cute.

What beauty products have you been obsessed with lately? Is there anything you’re dying to recommend to our readers?

Well, Neutrogena Collagen Bank, of course. For so many reasons, this product has truly taken over my skincare routine. It’s a staple for me, and I love that I have a version of it for my morning skincare routine, which is the Neutrogena Collagen Moisturizer with SPF, and then at night the Neutrogena Collagen Bank Moisturizer. It’s really so amazing, and I cannot wait for people to try it.

Since you started working with Neutrogena, have you become more aware of pre-aging?

I feel like I’ve definitely become more aware since working with Neutrogena, just learning alone that you lose 1% of your skin’s collagen every year, starting in your 20s, when I read that, I was like, ‘There’s no way.’ So wild and so crazy. But thank god that I’m learning this now, and thank god I get to help spread the word for those entering their 20s. It’s a real thing. And I think there’s something really exciting and really great and really important about educating yourself on pre-aging, just so that you’re aware. There’s so many things that you should be doing, that your future self will thank you for.

Everyone on TikTok is obsessed with trying to reverse the signs of aging. What do you think these new products mean for young women your age, or anyone who’s interested in slowing the aging process?

I think what I love so much about this product, is that it’ll prevent you from getting to that point of having to figure out how to anti-age. You’re taking these preventative steps so that you don’t get there, you don’t get to that point of, ‘Oh, no. What do I do now? I had this window of time where I could have used my Neutrogena collagen bank.’ So I think this product is going to really hit home for a lot of people, and a lot of those people on TikTok who are watching those videos and trying to find new ways to pre-age.

  • Ryan Coogler’s New Horror Film Is a Veritable Marvel Reunion

Ryan Coogler’s New Horror Film Is a Veritable Marvel Reunion

    [ad_1]

After the cinematic achievement that is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, director Ryan Coogler is heading into production on his next film—and it includes a superhero-studded cast.

Not much is known about Coogler’s next project. We know it’s a supernatural thriller recently acquired by Warner Bros., and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film may take place in the Jim Crow-era South and involve vampires and southern folklore. Although the film begins production this month, not even the title has been released.

But the cast is gradually coming together. Coogler is reuniting with longtime collaborator Michael B. Jordan, best known for his role as Adonis Creed in the Creed series. According to THR, Jordan may be playing identical twins in Coogler’s new film. Jordan also plays Erik “Killmonger” Stevens in Marvel’s Black Panther. In Black Panther, Killmonger is King T’Challa’s long-lost cousin, who returns to Wakanda to take over the throne. Killmonger also makes an appearance in the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Wunmi Mosaku also recently joined the cast of Coogler’s new film. Mosaku is mainly known for playing Ruby Baptiste in Lovecraft Country, but she also plays Hunter B-15 in Loki seasons 1 and 2. In season 1, Hunter B-15 is a hardened foot soldier for the Time Variance Authority, arresting variants and pruning errant timelines. In season 2, B-15 softens a bit, trying to save the timelines she previously worked to destroy.

Finally, Hailee Steinfeld is the most recent addition to the cast. Steinfeld voices Gwen Stacy, a.k.a. Spider–Woman, in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Steinfeld also plays the young archer Kate Bishop in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, with a guest appearance in The Marvels.

Delroy Lindo (Unprisoned, The Harder They Fall) and Jack O’Connell (Back to Black) have also joined the cast.

  • Phil Lord, Chris Miller Reveal Themselves as Writers of Golden Globes “Studio Executives” Bit

Phil Lord, Chris Miller Reveal Themselves as Writers of Golden Globes “Studio Executives” Bit

    [ad_1]

When Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse voice actors Hailee Steinfeld, Daniel Kaluuya and Shameik Moore took the stage to present best screenplay at the Golden Globes earlier this month, the trio claimed their intro had been written by studio executives.

But, instead, it was Spider-Verse writers Phil Lord and Chris Miller who crafted the memorably stilted dialogue, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

“We were really happy that they wanted to have Hailee, Shameik and Daniel present and present a prestigious award,” Lord tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I think it’s a nice acknowledgment that the cast of our movie is full of Oscar nominees. Hailee is an Oscar nominee and an Academy member. Kaluuya is an [Oscar] winner. And we wanted to make sure they looked great. It’s a fun show, but you want to make sure you don’t go up there and whiff on a bit. So I think our objective was: How do we make something for them that makes them look great, that honors the category, that is still playful?”

In coming up with the segment, the duo — who have a history of writing for the Lego and Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs franchises and for Apple TV+’s The Afterparty but who admit they’re “not professional variety show writers” — came up with eight options, trading ideas and soliciting suggestions from friends even as late as the Friday before the awards show. The Spider-Verse team ran through the options in rehearsal, and they knew the “studio executives” bit was a winner.

“It was very clear anytime it was pretend banter, it just always felt canned,” Lord says. “At least with the three of them, the thing that they gravitated toward and really were able to lean into and felt really confident about was the thing where they could play it really straight but still be in on the joke.”

The segment also offered one of the show’s few allusions to last year’s writers strike, which was appreciated by the head writers for the Globes, who explained they hadn’t yet found a way to acknowledge the strike, Lord and Miller recall. “They were excited about the bit because it was a way to do it with a friendly touch,” says Miller.

The moment was a hit with the star-studded audience, which included the executives who supported Spider-Verse who were sitting next to Lord, Miller and Spider-Verse directors Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson and Joaquim Dos Santos, who spoke with THR about the bit at the National Board of Review Awards last Thursday.

All three directors, who were on hand to receive the best animated feature award, said they enjoyed the intro, adding that they were “cracking up” at the “hilarious moment.”

Powers elaborated that he thought that segment reflected the film.

“I think that speaks to the spirit of the film that we made and the characters that we had them portray,” Powers told THR. “It was great to have our actors in our film, who are great personalities in their own right, highlighted.”

As for why they attributed the speech to studio executives and not AI, Miller calls the technology “comedy clam,” or something a bit “hackneyed.”

“We certainly have no love for AI and don’t want it anywhere near script-writing,” he added.

  • Hailee Steinfeld's Daily Beauty Routine Is Surprisingly Simple

Hailee Steinfeld's Daily Beauty Routine Is Surprisingly Simple

    [ad_1]

For someone who spends a lot of time in front of a camera, Hailee Steinfeld’s beauty routine is surprisingly simple. “Less is more,” she tells me. When it comes to the holidays, however, that’s when the Marvel superhero can really ramp it up. When we meet, Steinfeld is dressed for the season: A crimson head-to-toe look—it’s a two-piece, with a festive choker tied delicately around her neck.

Gift-wrapped boxes can be seen in every corner and a hot chocolate bar awaits guests, complete with toppings ranging from cookies and marshmallows (among other goodies). “Have you seen it out there?” she asks me, excitedly. Turns out, she did one for Thanksgiving, and she’ll be doing it again for Christmas. “I’m really big on a hot chocolate bar this year.”

This holiday, customers can shop deals on more small business products than ever before thanks to Amazon (with new deals dropping all the time). The Oscar-nominated actress, multi-platinum recording musician, and producer is also a business co-owner herself (peep the sunglasses if you haven’t), and loves the idea of shopping from retailers that make sense for your recipient, particularly small businesses. She curated her own holiday gift list on Amazon featuring smaller retailers and things she loves, and I chatted with her about what she’s gifting this season, her go-to skincare products, and her New Year’s resolution.

As far as the holiday season, it’s a very joyful time of year, but also slightly stressful. There’s a lot going on, and perhaps a lot of feelings for some people. What are your kind of self-care routines or how do you like to take care of yourself during this time?
Ooh. I feel like a self-care journey is ever-evolving, especially with this time of year, it is absolutely the most joyful time of year, but can be very stressful because I’m always trying to make sure everything’s taken care of and everything’s running smoothly.

I love hosting, so I feel like I’ve always been a big fan of a self-care spa kit, which is absolutely on my list. But also, self-care, it’s so personal. Whatever you feel works for you is best. For me, it is just like a scented candle and I love a good mug with some hot cocoa in it.

    Image: Cibelle Levi

As far as your skincare routine, a lot of self-care for a lot of people. What do you love to do? What are your go-tos?
So less is more for me with a skincare routine, even though I’m a product junkie. I’m the first to just try it all. I get overexcited with all of that, but my skin? Not so much. So less is more for me. I’ve really been into this body oil by Osea
. It’s so incredible. Hydrating makes you feel good. You take those few extra minutes, morning, night. It’s the best.

Is there anything in terms of other beauty products that you’re really loving right now that you’re kind of excited about also? I feel like holiday time is a time of a lot of parties, get-togethers…
Totally. When it comes to my makeup routine specifically, it’s very quick. It’s a few steps, but I do love a great mascara, a good sort of multipurpose lip-cheek-eye moment. But yeah, I keep it pretty simple. One of my go-to things that I’ve been doing, any time I put any amount of makeup on, is a little concealer—or a lot of concealer on the days I call for it. I love going back in with, whether it’s an eyeliner pencil or a liquid liner pen, and going over my beauty marks after I’ve given myself some coverage. I’ve really been loving doing that.

Love that. As far as kind of workout routines, what do you stick to? Do you find it de-stresses you at all?
Well, I feel like a lot of times if I’m traveling, my workout routine honestly depends on what I have around me and on what I have access to. If I can get outside and go for a walk, a 15-minute walk at the very least, I instantly feel more grounded and just more at peace with everything having taken that time. Again, it could be five minutes of sitting outside, stretching, meditating.

As far as a workout routine, I do like to switch it up. I love to work a little cardio in there. I don’t love actually doing it, but I love the way I feel afterward, so I always push myself to do that. I love some circuit training, Pilates, a little yoga, like I said, some stretching. If I could start my day every—okay, this is a New Year’s resolution, we’ll put it all out there—if I could get up every morning and let that be one of the first things I do, just take five to 10 minutes to just stretch and breathe, I feel like I’d be a better human.

If I could get up every morning and let that be one of the first things I do, just take five to 10 minutes to just stretch and breathe, I feel like I’d be a better human.

    Hailee Steinfield

You and me both. In terms of holiday gifts, what are you excited to gift? Or what’s kind of your go-to gift for when you don’t know what to gift?
When I don’t know what to get, I always find that anything custom or sentimental is a really good option. I’m so happy to be here because I’m a huge fan of a good gift guide, so this was very hard for me to put together and narrow down. But I love that. I feel like I have this gift guide that I’ve created myself. There are so many things on here that I can’t wait to get for my friends and family — a little self-care spa kit, a big cozy blanket, some good mugs, or any barware I think is really fun. A good charcuterie board? You cannot go wrong with that. But yeah, things that you can customize a bit, I think that’s always a really fun thing.

Is there any kind of holiday tradition that you typically do?
Stocking stuffers are a big thing in my family. I always feel like it’s not a competition, but it kind of is a competition about who can get and give the better stocking stuffers. But that’s a really big thing in my family, and I love doing that for friends too.

Is there anything else that you feel like you do every single year around this time of year? Like, for me, I like to get myself a little gift as well — a treat.
I do love to give anything that sort of encourages relaxation and so those things I’ll grab for myself, too — a good pair of cozy slippers or a new set of pajamas. I’m with you on that. I like to kind of grab something for myself.

  • Spider-Verse Fans Have Compelling Evidence That Gwen Is Trans

Spider-Verse Fans Have Compelling Evidence That Gwen Is Trans

    [ad_1]

Just in time for Pride, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse moviegoers think the summer box-office phenomenon offers some pretty compelling evidence that one of its heroes, Gwen Stacy, is trans.

While the film never explicitly raises the issue of whether or not Gwen Stacy is trans over the course of its two-hour and twenty-minute runtime, some Spider-Verse viewers feel that her character arc, which includes a painful coming-out of sorts to her father, functions as a trans allegory. And the visual motifs that the film employs during this pivotal scene only serve to drive home that interpretation.

Throughout the film, the watercolors lending their hues to the background of Gwen’s universe shift to match the emotions she’s feeling. It lends her whole world a similar look to that of Robbi Rodriguez’s cover art for her 2015 comic book, Radioactive Spider-Gwen.

However, during a pivotal scene where Gwen reveals to her father, Captain George Stacy, that she’s Spider-Woman, the entire backdrop of the Stacy household is awash in white, blue, and pink watercolors: the same colors that make up the trans pride flag. The tri-color art direction during Gwen’s anguished confession about an aspect of her identity she fears her father won’t accept underscore a conflict that resonated with many trans viewers.

“I truly thought the ‘Gwen is trans’ stuff in ATSV was just Twitter doing its usual thing but no it’s AGGRESSIVELY loud about it,” Twitter user Blankzilla wrote. “Being draped in the trans colors while giving a speech about having to hide half of yourself from the people you love is as subtle as a brick.”

“Thinking about Trans Gwen Stacy and her entire plot being about centered around her father’s struggle to believe her and accept her identity,” tori_af said.

“Mfs be like ‘gwen stacy isn’t trans’ and then they have a four minute sequence in the movie where she’s just the trans flag colors,” Moshy_Maybe wrote.

Aside from Gwen’s confessional with her father feeling akin to a trans person coming out to their family for the first time, eagle-eyed Spider-Verse viewers also spotted a bunch of items scattered about her house as evidence supporting their ongoing fan theory. For example, one Twitter user pointed out that Gwen has a trans pride pin on her jacket and a “Protect Trans Kids” sticker on her wall, and her dad has a trans pride flag on his police uniform.

Kotaku reached out to director Kemp Thompson and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller for comment.

    Sony Pictures Animation

Gwen Stacy’s visual motif is like a ‘mood ring’

Spider-Verse fan theories about Gwen Stacy being trans might not be entirely off the mark. In an interview with Cinema Blend, Gwen Stacy actress Hailee Steinfeld revealed that Spider-Verse director Kemp Thompson and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller described the watercolors of Gwen’s world as “like a mood ring.”

“It will visually change as her circumstances change, and the emotions she feels we will feel in the audience on screen,” Steinfield told Cinema Blend, adding, “I’m biased, but Gwen’s world is pretty beautiful.”

If the filmmakers had the wherewithal to drop a visual hint that Miles altered his fate from becoming Prowler back in Into The Spider-Verse, who’s to say they didn’t also deliberately drop the most obvious artistic clue that Gwen is trans in Across The Spider-Verse?

Whether or not Gwen is trans, Twitter user RawbertBeef perfectly encapsulates what Spider-Gwen means to the trans community by saying, “even if the movies never outright confirm it…if she can make somebody feel represented, who are you to tell them they’re wrong?”

  • Hailee Steinfeld Had a “Rare” Child-Star Experience With Jeff Bridges

Hailee Steinfeld Had a “Rare” Child-Star Experience With Jeff Bridges

    [ad_1]

Few actors ever reach the Academy Awards, let alone before hitting the legal driving age. But that was exactly where Hailee Steinfeld found herself when she earned a best supporting actress Oscar nomination for the Coen brothers’ True Grit in 2011 at age 14.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Take it all in,” people once advised Steinfeld, now 26, as she tells People in her new cover story. “Of course, at 13, I was like, ‘Yeah, absolutely. For sure. I’m taking it all in.’ And while I do feel like I remember just about everything, I only now realize what people meant by that,” she continues. “It was such a rare experience, everything about it: the timing, the places I got to go to and the people I got to work with. I was experiencing so many firsts, and I was surrounded by the best people that really took me under their wings and guided me every step of the way. I just remember being young and curious and so overexcited about absolutely everything.”

Her True Grit co-star Jeff Bridges has been a particularly major influence, both professionally and personally. “Jeff has so much fun with what he does,” Steinfeld said. “With True Grit, I had a lot of dialogue, and the circumstances weren’t always smiley and bubbly. Yet somehow, in between takes, he managed to keep up an energy that made me feel so at ease and comfortable… If we had 10 minutes in between takes, he would pull out this game called Pass the Pigs, which became a crowd favorite very quickly with the Steinfeld family.”

Although the actor says she “had moments of [feeling like I was missing out] when friends would send me pictures from winter formals and proms and homecomings,” she still had a chance to experience some typical teenage milestones—by filming a homecoming scene on 2015’s Barely Lethal and joining a sorority in the Pitch Perfect franchise. Plus, 2016’s The Edge of Seventeen allowed Steinfeld to “let a little bit of teen angst go that I didn’t even know I had.”

In recent months, Steinfeld has been touched by the personal battles both Bridges, who is currently in remission for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and her Hawkeye co-star Jeremy Renner, who survived a near-fatal snowplow accident, have endured. “I haven’t really talked about it, but it is a weird thing because I would be so moved by what has happened to them in any other case, and here I am lucky enough to have a personal connection,” she tells the outlet. “I’m just so beyond grateful that they’re both here.”
