  • TikTok Creator Flies To Europe To Yell And Harass GTA 6 Devs

    [ad_1]

A TikTok content creator allegedly flew all the way from the United States to Edinburgh, Scotland to stand outside the offices of Grand Theft Auto 6 developers Rockstar North and yell at people entering and exiting the studio. According to the creator, he is “sick and tired” of waiting for a new trailer or information on any further delays.

On September 30, as spotted by TheGamer, TikTok user Backonboulevard shared a video on the social media service that appeared to show him staking out the Rockstar North office in Scotland and then yelling at two different people that he seemingly assumed were developers working on GTA 6 after spotting them entering and exiting the building. The video has over 140,000 views and is currently pinned on the TikTok user’s channel.

In the first incident, a person can be seen walking toward the office when Backonboulevard yells at them: “When’s the delay? When’s the next trailer? I wanna know!” The person shrugs, starts walking away quickly, and replies, “I don’t know.”

In another incident shown in the video, Backonboulevard seemingly follows a person after they have presumably left the office and shouts at them, asking: “When’s the delay happening? Is there another delay? What about the trailer? Another trailer? You can’t tell me? You can’t tell me? You can’t tell me nothing?” That person looks visibly scared and understandably nervous about a random dude aggressively confronting them in the dark, and quickly flees the scene as the TikTok creator follows before the video cuts.

Kotaku has contacted the TikTok user about the video and reached out to Rockstar Games.

“I’m sick and tired of waiting for the answers,” explained Backonboulevard in the video. At another point, he showed the outside of Rockstar North’s offices to prove he was there. “Right now we are here, right here, live from Rockstar North. I told you guys I wasn’t playing around.”

On Tuesday, the video was flagged by GTA content creator GameRoll on Twitter. “If you’re waiting outside of somebody’s workplace to harass employees over a video game, give your head a wobble,” said GameRoll.

While many in the comments below GameRoll’s post shared disbelief and anger over what Backonboulevard seemingly did, there are many, many comments below the original video on TikTok that take the creator’s side and blame Rockstar’s lack of information and new trailers for the harassment. And to be clear: That’s fucking stupid and you should never, ever, ever sit outside a video game studio and harass the people inside and demand answers from them. That will never work out, it might get you in trouble legally, and it’s just a dick move.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch in May 2026 after being delayed earlier this year. It will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Don’t yell at the devs about it, okay?

10 Florida Man Stories We Hope Show up in GTA 6

    [ad_1]

Grand Theft Auto VI may still be at least a year out, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the most anticipated games of the generation. This is doubly true thanks to its setting, which brings players back to the Miami-esque Vice City and its surrounding Florida-inspired environs.

That latter point, though, is a key part of what could make the game great. Developer Rockstar dropped plenty of references to real life shenanigans brought about by Florida’s colorful residents in the game’s reveal trailer, and most all of them look like they’ll make for amazing satirical fodder.

This got us thinking about what other Florida Man stories and hijinks we’d like to see in the upcoming mega hit. So come along as we dig into 10 Florida Man stories we hope show up in GTA 6.

Florida Man Arrested for Feeding Alligator Bagels

We couldn’t possibly make a list of Florida Man stories without mentioning some involving alligators, and the first on our list is a standard bearer of the Sunshine State’s craziness.

Following a post to social media boasting about how he regularly feeds an alligator and some turtles near his property bread and bagels, Floridian Paul Fortin was issued a citation. He responded with disbelief and anger at the citation, but his previously posted video left him with little defense against it.

And yet, shortly after this news went public, many people online came to the man’s defense. They were especially fond of his quote about his gator friend, which stated “He’s a good boy… He likes Bagels.”

While this story could easily be worked into the game via a one-off NPC encounter, Rockstar could also go the extra mile by making it into a side quest. Players could work to free a doppelganger of Fortin so that he can return to feeding his gator friend; and might even be able to verify that he is indeed a good boy by tossing him some food.

Florida Man Arrested for Attempting $30,000 Turtle Heist

The Grand Theft Auto series is no stranger to heists, and GTA 6 could have one of its most memorable ones yet by recreating this wild tale.

Jermaine Wofford was arrested for stealing 18 turtles worth $30,000 while repairing a beverage cooler for a turtle breeder. Unfortunately, he failed to notice the surveillance camera in the breeder’s building, resulting in the failure of his reptilian robbery.

The wider premise might need some dressing up, but it’s undeniable that staging a daring job involving the theft of rare reptiles would be a nice change of pace to the series’ usual car and bank heists. Heck, Rockstar could even flip the script and make it an act of rebellious heroism, framing it so that players are rescuing said animals from a less than ethical animal breeder.

Florida Man Gets DUI for Driving Lawnmower Drunk and on Highway

How wild would it be to be cruising down the highway only to notice a man drunkenly driving a lawnmower right beside you?

This is a reality Rockstar could bring about by adapting the story of Paul Burker, a fellow who had one too many to drink and was pulled over by police when they noticed him haphazardly driving a lawnmower on the highway. As it turns out, he also didn’t have a license, hence why he was driving the lawnmower instead of a car.

Despite all this, Burker was incredibly honest about his inebriation and complied readily with the police upon being pulled over. At most, he got a little irritated when they tried to make him do a sobriety test despite his assertions that he was indeed hammered.

Even if it’s just a blink and you miss it moment, it’d be pure genius to include a facsimile of this story in GTA 6. Players could even follow the lawnmower driver until they’re pulled over, watching as they make their case with a refreshing amount of honesty.

Florida Man Dressed Like Cop Pulls Over Off-Duty Sheriff’s Deputy

There are a surprising number of stories out of Florida about people impersonating police officers, but one in particular takes the cake.

After a car sped past him, security company worker Omar Ford attempted to pull over said car by flashing his vehicle’s lights and pulling the car over. What he didn’t know, however, was that he’d pulled over an off-duty police officer. He was then arrested for impersonating a police officer, which wasn’t made any better by the fact that he’d been driving without a license.

Now, this could go one of two ways. One is to have players encounter this scenario out in the game’s world. This might be a random encounter you can witness, or it could be a fun side mission where you have to help track down and catch this impersonator after they pull you over.

The other is to put a spin on the story that the impersonator is trying to hold lawbreaking officers accountable. You could finally get revenge on the cops willing to smash, crash, and terrorize their way through the city in order to take you and other minor offenders in.

Florida Couple Get Trapped in Unlocked Closet for Two Days

Who among us hasn’t awkwardly waited in a group next to an unlocked door, believing someone else tried and failed to open it?

Certainly not the couple who spent two days stuck in an unlocked closet. After successfully reporting their unfortunate situation to the police, this Floridian duo were left looking foolish when the cops arrived and — surprise surprise — opened the door immediately. They were also found to be on some illicit substances, which probably didn’t help their ability to escape their self-imposed captivity.

Pulling this one off would be as simple as including it among the game’s one off NPC interactions. After stumbling into a shop or building, you could hear some cries for help and follow them to offer some assistance; only to realize the imperiled person was too dumb to realize the door was unlocked the whole time.

Florida Squirrel Attacks Tourist During Selfie

Don’t worry, you didn’t misread that header. This is indeed an entry about a Florida Squirrel instead of a Florida Man, but it feels right to include it here for a few reasons.

Based off of an incident wherein a squirrel was startled by a teen taking a selfie, there are multiple levels of material to be spoofed via the next Grand Theft Auto title. There’s the inherent comedy of someone trying to take a selfie with a wild animal only to suffer frightening consequences; the apathetic approach of the person filming instead of helping the teen; and the stunningly poignant snapshot of the lengths people go to for a good photo they can share on social media.

Honestly though, it’d be enough to feature some squirrels you can find in game and try to get a selfie with; only to provoke a lethal attack from the furry critters if you snap a pic.

Florida Man Attempts to Run From Florida to Other Countries in Bubble

This isn’t so much a story of crime or stupidity as it is one of determination.

Throughout the years, Reza Ray Baluchi has made several attempts to run from Florida to countries across the ocean using a Hydro Pod bubble device he built himself. Though they all ended in failure — and he was even found to be in violation of the law in some cases — it’s hard not to respect the fact that he kept trying to carry out these insane tasks.

If nothing else, it’d be a nice homage to one of Florida’s most resilient oddballs if Rockstar included a Hydro Pod players can find while flying out over the ocean. They could even make it possible to save him and fly him back to land, ensuring he lives on to make just one more attempt in the future.

Florida Man Steals Car With Baby, Returns Baby Before Escaping Police

Stealing cars is one thing, but stealing a car with a baby in the back is a whole other mess.

That’s what one car thief learned the hard way when they stole a car containing a baby from a gas station. Luckily, they quickly discovered the child and left the baby in safe hands at the nearest gas station before proceeding with their getaway, even telling the gas station clerk to call the police so that the parent would be reunited with their child as soon as possible.

Does it make up for what they did to the parent in the first place? Not at all. But it does make for a crazy scenario to challenge players with. Whether players steal a car with a baby inside it themselves or are tasked with tracking down a car containing an unexpected hostage, it’d be one of those random moments that’d undoubtedly be burned into the memories of anyone who experiences it.

Florida Police Tell Florida Men and Women Not to Shoot at Hurricane

Let’s be clear before diving into this next entry that it is not, in fact, smart to shoot guns at a natural disaster. Doing so will not stop it, and could very well make things even worse.

And yet, thanks to a joke event that was taken a little too far prior to Hurricane Irma making landfall, several Florida men and women were potentially ready to do so. So many signed up to attend, in fact, that the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department had to put out a notice to the community telling them not to shoot weapons at Irma.

Admittedly, this might not be the easiest story to implement in GTA 6 outside of some very specific set pieces. Fortunately, it would be a lot easier to make happen via the game’s inevitable online component. The online community could team up and fire their weapons at a forming storm, creating a fun player-made event that pays homage to this truly novel tale.

Florida Man Throws Alligator Through Wendy’s Drive Thru Window

Chances are you’ve already heard of this Florida Man story, as it’s one of the most infamous of them all.

In what was argued to be a prank gone wrong, a man threw a live, three-and-a-half foot alligator through a Wendy’s drive thru window. He was later arrested for assault with a deadly weapon among other charges, and social media had a field day with that fact that this was a real thing that happened in the world.

Of all the stories listed here, this one has some of the most potential for showing up in GTA 6 in a fun way. Outside of seeing this happen while exploring Vice City, you could also potentially have the option to throw gators like weapons yourself, ruining the day of anyone expecting a more standard hail of gunfire. This might not always go according to plan though, with gators able to turn around and bite you back before being sent airborne.

  • 11 Real-World References in the GTA 6 Trailer that Just Scream Florida

11 Real-World References in the GTA 6 Trailer that Just Scream Florida

    [ad_1]

By now it’s no secret that the trailer for GTA 6 has been released, and has gamers everywhere excited for 2025. The trailer itself has now amassed over 130 million views, and we ourselves are probably responsible for a good chunk of them! The question is though, did you notice all of the references?

Real-Life Occurrences from the GTA 6 Trailer

For this list we’re not going to be talking about the physics and mechanics of the game that people have noticed, just references to real-life occurrences or locations that have been replicated in the game. If you’re interested in other goodies we’ve picked up on, be sure to check out our list of easter eggs or little details you might have missed!

    Wynwood, Florida

Rockstar Games has painstakingly made a copy of Wynwood, Florida in the upcoming GTA. The place is full of vibrant graffiti and art work, and the game devs have paid close attention to give it a realistic feel. It was fun spotting real landmarks in GTA V, but it might be even more fun in the next game!

    The Ocean View Hotel

A screenshot of the Ocean View strip in GTA 6

If you have played the definitive edition’s version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, or if you were one of the OGs to play it on PS2, then you’ll recognize the iconic Ocean View Hotel. Of course, many places in Vice City were based off of real areas of Malibu — the Ocean View Hotel is modelled after South Beach’s famous Clevelander accomodation — but it’s nice to see the old save point landmark appearing in the trailer!

    Club Space

A screenshot of the night club from GTA 6

Many Floridians have noticed how familiar this particular night club from the trailer looks. Despite not yet knowing its name, it looks to be based off of a club called Space that can be found in Miami. It will be cool to see how accurate to real-life it is when the game finally releases!

    The Pool Gator

A social media video of an Alligator getting pulled out of a pool in GTA 6

Is it Florida if there aren’t Gators in your pool? This is a reference to a news story from this year, where a Floridian woman found an 11-foot Alligator in her pool. Rockstar have always been good at riffing off of real events, but this still somehow seems overly comical even though it actually happened!

    Woman Twerking on a Car

A social media video of a lady twerking on top of a car in GTA 6

This is yet another reference to something that really happened. Back in 2017, a woman was filmed twerking on top of a car on a highway. There have since been other similar videos, but the original is what has influenced this crazy clip from the GTA 6 trailer.

    The Gator Entering a Store

A screenshot of an Alligator entering a shop in GTA 6

Once again, here we are with the Gators! This time, this is harking back to when an Alligator was found outside of a Walmart back in 2013 (which is when GTA V came out!) Dare we say, maybe it was looking for some Gatorade? Maybe not…

    Florida, Man

A social media video of a man running away from the cops in his underwear in GTA 6

This clip has seemingly taken inspiration from multiple instances of the same thing happening. It would appear that police in Florida have to chase down naked guys regularly. There are so many stories where this has happened, it seems like that’s just the everyday life of a Florida cop!

    Naked Gardening Man

A screenshot of the nude gardening man in GTA 6

You didn’t think we were done with the revealing members of public, did you? In 2022, a news story broke about a man who was doing his gardening in his birthday suit. This had his neighbors complaining to the local authorities about having to see his family jewels. At least Rockstar put a thong on their guy…

    Hammer Lady

A social media video of the hammer lady in GTA 6

This one is from back in 2020, where a woman confronted her neighbor while duel-wielding hammers. She then proceeded to bash her neighbor’s car in with them. We can’t say we condone this behavior, but we sure do look forward to seeing it in GTA 6.

    The Florida Joker

A TV shot of the Florida Joker in GTA 6

This particular reference is quite famous at this point. There is a Florida native that has been dubbed “the Florida Joker”, due to his tattoos and impersonations of the DC character online. Needless to say, he has since been outspoken about his appearance in the trailer and is not happy…

This may potentially hold a little easter egg as well, as the word “impentinent” tattooed on his forehead could potentially be a misspelling of impotent, after the fake cartoon character Impotent Rage in the GTA world. It could also be an incorrect spelling of impertinent, which is also quite funny.

    Petty Forever

Lucia and Jason enter a mini mart in GTA 6

Last, but definitely not least, there are the references to Florida’s own Tom Petty. The song used in the trailer is “Love is a Long Road” by Tom Petty himself, but there is also a noticeable sticker on the door when Lucia and her beau are entering a liquor store to rob it.

Petty grew up in Gainesville, Florida and passed away back in 2017. So, it’s nice to see him being remembered in such a prominent way for the game’s trailer. There are also said to be murals of him about Leonida (the game’s version of Florida) as well. So, we look forward to searching for them!

Every Easter Egg We Found in the GTA 6 Trailer

    [ad_1]

The first phase of waiting is over and now we at least know that GTA 6 will be released in 2025. Rockstar released a trailer that immediately went viral, and the main protagonist, Lucia, has already won the hearts of many gamers around the world.

Allow us to highlight for you seven Easter Egg details that caught our eye in the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer.

    Patriot Beer

Patriot Beer isn’t going anywhere! This brand of beer and brewery will remain the favorite drink of many Vice City inhabitants.

The Patriot Beer was first introduced in Grand Theft Auto 4, where it was sold in various restaurants across Liberty City. It is also present in GTA 5, available to purchase at Rob’s Liquor, 24/7, and Limited Services. Now, it’s officially coming back again to Vice City in Grand Theft Auto 6. Cheers!

    Cheetah

Screenshot from GTA 6 official trailer.

What would modern GTA be without this iconic car? Cheetah has been present in Grand Theft Auto since GTA 3 and was skipped only in GTA 4.

It will be no different in Grand Theft Auto 6 and the developers made sure we are aware of that because they’ve included Cheetah in the first official trailer, as seen in the image above.

    Lucia’s Ankle Monitor

Lucia and Jason in Grand Theft Auto 6.

On the official poster for GTA 6, we see our protagonist Lucia leaning against a car alongside her partner in crime, who some of the online circles call Jason.

Lucia is wearing an ankle monitor in that image, which leads to the conclusion that she is probably on parole at the start of the game, meaning that probably her movement will be limited for the first couple of missions at least.

    Replicas of Famous Brands

Girl in bikini in trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6

The Grand Theft Auto franchise always liked to include some real-life fashion brands but in their own, unique way.

GTA 6 is no different on that matter, since in a couple of frames in the official trailer we get to see a young lady wearing a bikini with a logo that resembles to French luxury fashion company Louis Vuitton.

    Dogs of Destruction

A scene from a strip club in Grand Theft Auto 6.

Remember Love Fist from GTA Vice City? I know a lot of us still remember the missions that included band members. There was also Madd Dogg, a rapper from San Andreas, which is proof that Rockstar likes to insert fictional bands and musicians into the GTA world.

There is an indication we will get something similar in GTA 6. In one of the scenes from the trailer, a man in a strip club wears a T-shirt of a band called “Dogs of Destruction” with tour dates written under it.

    VICE Sign

    Vice sign in GTA 6.

We are all very familiar with the Vinewood sign in GTA 5, which was, of course, the counterpart of the famous real-life sign in Hollywood. It appears we’ll have something similar now.

A huge sign that says VICE appears in the trailer for Grand Theft Auto, which leads us to the conclusion that maybe Vice City will now get its own big sign on the hill.

    Road Signs

Girl driving on a highway in GTA 6.

In one frame of the trailer, we see a party girl enjoying herself while driving in a convertible. On the road signs on the highway, we see that it leads in the direction of Vice City International Airport, among other destinations. So, maybe we can travel by passenger plane in GTA 6, who knows?

We’re sure there are still plenty of hidden details in the long-awaited trailer for GTA 6. But, as they say, everything is in the eye of the beholder, so if you spotted some interesting detail that we missed, congratulations!

  • 7 Major GTA 6 Leaks and Rumors & How Likely They Are to Be Real

7 Major GTA 6 Leaks and Rumors & How Likely They Are to Be Real

    [ad_1]

It has been a decade since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5, and fans are ready for whatever comes next in the franchise.

For the most part, Rockstar has been entirely silent on the next game, leading fans to do their own investigative work, and any possible leak or rumor spreads like wildfire. Though we still don’t know what GTA 6 will bring, there is a mountain of leaks and rumors to judge based on the likelihood of legitimacy.

    Possible Release Window

Take-Two Interactive’s August 2023 quarterly finance reports reported an expected “significant inflection point” in Fiscal Year 2025. This means they expect a massive revenue boost in just this specific span of time, which almost certainly points to the release of a huge game like GTA 6. As the 2025 Fiscal Year ends in March 2025, it would be reasonable to expect the game sometime before then.

This one doesn’t have any trail to check; it comes from the publisher directly. While they don’t come right out and say anything about GTA 6, it will certainly be the biggest game of the year whenever it does finally release. On the bright side, time is ticking down, and fans might be able to expect GTA 6 in the next 15 months.

    Co-op

    GTA Online Halloween Masks 2023

Reddit user Tobbelobben30 dug through the older massive leak that Rockstar suffered and found several references to character actions that suggest co-op gameplay. The BuddyPing and BuddyComms actions suggest that there will be some sort of interaction between two players, and there is evidence that players can be downed and get revived, which isn’t exactly a single-player thing.

This one is highly likely because co-op is huge in games like this. However, the evidence provided doesn’t directly show it means co-op teammates. The “Buddy” in question could easily mean that you get AI partners that can revive you, and you can direct them through pings.

    Modern Setting

Jason Schreier commented in a Reddit thread, revealing what he knew about the game’s setting. He wrote, “I can’t rule out any flashbacks or excursions, but AFAIK the main game is set in modern times.” This Reddit thread is from July 2022, so it is highly unlikely this could change. After the way GTA 5 starts, it would make sense if that idea carried forward into showing other past events in a new story.

As this comes directly from Jason Schreier, it is almost guaranteed to be the truth. Also, it’s only been a year since the comment was made. While game development can constantly shift, it feels too late to entirely rework the game’s main setting.

    Female Protagonist

The Last Dose promo art for GTA Online
    Image via Rockstar Games

Continuing leaks/announcements from Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg article reveals a first for the series: a female protagonist. Following the modern setting, it makes sense to finally depart from only male lead characters. As GTA Online allowed player creation, continuing this specific series norm would be highly unusual.

The source for this one is once again one of the most trustworthy names in games journalism, so there shouldn’t be any doubts about this one. He further reveals that, unlike the three-way split in GTA 5, there will only be two protagonists in GTA 6. This could easily be where co-op comes into play as it could be two-player, and they both control one character.

The Female Protagonist is Named Lucia

Grand Theft Auto Vice City 50 Cent Leak side eye cover art
    Image via Rockstar Games

This one is a bit harder to source, as it is once again from Reddit, but the author has been deleted. In the post, they claim the female protagonist is named Lucia, and that she gets arrested for robbing a bank. She is joined by her fellow bank-robbing cohort, Jason.

This one is tricky, as other sources corroborate that the female protagonist is Latina, and Lucia would be a fitting name. The bank robbing is a little more tenuous, as that’s pretty much just a rehash of the GTA 5 protagonists. I know there’s not enough leeway for criminals to do crimes that result in big money besides bank robbery, but it still seems a little convenient. I can only chalk this one up to a firm maybe.

    Map Based on Miami

GTA: Vice City's Ocean Beach main street

A different part of that Bloomberg article claims that the main area for GTA 6 will be based on Miami. This may be the reintroduction of Vice City, as that location existed within the canon of the pre-GTA 4 titles. However, San Andreas returned with GTA 5, so it’s possible.

If we’re accepting the female protagonist at face value, considering the source, there’s no reason to discount this piece of information. It’s weird to think that Rockstar might overwrite the established geography, but Vice City is older canon and could be changed. Regarding environmental variance, using Miami could mean an inclusion of the Everglades.

    Outside US Location

    grand-theft-auto-fans-need-customizable-housing-in-gta-6

In a June video, YouTuber (and notable Valve leaker) Tyler McVicker claimed that GTA 6 would take players to Cuba. While the Red Dead Redemption games occasionally take players outside the United States, Grand Theft Auto has never done the same. This would certainly increase the playable area in GTA 6 and make the total map larger than ever.

I’m unsure about this, but it could also depend on the presentation. I don’t think it would make sense to have Cuba as a destination, but it would make sense if the game started there and you don’t get to return. However, assuming the Miami-esque location is true, featuring a facsimile of Cuba makes a little more sense.

  • GTA 6 Trailer Release Date – When Is The Reveal?

GTA 6 Trailer Release Date – When Is The Reveal?

    [ad_1]

After nearly 10 years, the time has finally come for the official debut of Rockstar Games’ next big title, taking us back to the chaotically fun of Grand Theft Auto. So, to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s everything you need to know about the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer release date.

When Will the Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer Come Out?

Based on a post by Rockstar Games’ official X/Twitter account, the GTA 6 trailer will drop in early December of this year. It isn’t entirely clear when the exact release date is, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long as the month approaches.

Many fans have speculated about this debut as Rockstar Games celebrates its 25th anniversary, and now that dream is in full fruition with the latest announcement. Now, the question remains: What can we anticipate from this highly-anticipated trailer? Some believe it will feature the return of the beloved Vice City map, the stomping grounds of the famous Thomas “Tommy” Vercetti.

Although the game was set in the time period of 1986, the rumors suggest that GTA 6 will take place in the modern-day era, possibly after the events of Grand Theft Auto 5. However, you can take this information with a grain of salt. GTA VI may go in a completely different direction with a world we’ve never seen before.

As for the playable characters, some have suggested a Bonnie and Clyde-esque duo in which you’ll play as a couple. While many believe that GTA 6 will introduce the series’ first-ever female protagonist, the franchise has already hit this milestone with the original via the characters Divine, Mikki, Katie, and Ulrika.

All we can do now is wait for the release of the GTA trailer reveal, and we’ll be sure to update this guide once more information arrives. While you wait, be sure to explore the relevant links below, including five reasons why GTA 6 should be a sequel and not a prequel.
