    FNC’s Greg Gutfeld rips MS-NOW’s Rachel Maddow’s acceptance speech for the Walter Cronkite Award for “excellence in TV political journalism.”

    GREG GUTFELD: Because Maddow isn’t paid to be right. She’s paid to keep a dwindling audience from giving up altogether.

    She sells her drug to a shrinking mass, but along the way, she got hooked on the fumes.

    And yet here she is honored, celebrated, canonized by people as wrong as she is. She broke no stories; instead, she only broke her brain, and those of others who listened to her. She did the job she was supposed to do. She wasn’t questioning power; she was insulating it.

    On the left, accountability is nonexistent. What matters is loyalty. You don’t get fired for being wrong, but you can be promoted for service to the cause, and that means distributing the marching orders to your minions, ignore everything else, including stories that actually cost lives.

    That’s the biggest story of all. Can you imagine being a journalist in America and stating in public, with no fear of being held accountable at all, that your goal is to stop one political party over the other? And you’re worshipped by a corrupt, closed loop where mistakes are memory-holed, narratives outrank reality, and awards are handed out like condoms at a Hunter Biden pool party?

    Maddow is honored because she was wrong, reliably providing an alternative reality to a circle jerk of self-congratulators that’s getting smaller by the day. So maybe it’s right to call it the “Walter Cronkite Award” because they’re as dead as he is.

    FOX News host Greg Gutfeld on Friday’s “The Five” said President Donald Trump has exposed Democrats for being “addicted to luxury beliefs at the expense of the American public.”

    “Trump is not just a correction, it’s a kill switch,” Gutfeld said. “He stopped the country, and in this case, the globe from barreling off a cliff. It leads me to ask one more question, Gillian, if I may. I want to ask you a question, where are the protesters who have been driving all of us nuts? You know, why shouldn’t they be on the street rejoicing? Shouldn’t they be happy? Or is there something that we always knew about them? They need to have other people suffering for them to find something to do?”

    GILLIAN TURNER, FOX NEWS: Well, Greg, the president may feel snubbed, we don’t know, because he this is something we know he wanted, but he is definitely not being snubbed by the rest of the world, like the media, Washington, his political opponents.

    GREG GUTFELD, FOX NEWS CHANNEL HOST: Be grudgingly, I believe.

    TURNER: They’re all saying it’s an amazing thing.

    GUTFELD: I believe Trump derangement addiction is finally being licked. I joke, it’s never going to go away.

    This story is fun because we know that Trump deserves it, but we also knew he wasn’t going to get it. This was just like a — this was a recreational belief. The reason why he won’t get it is that he’s legitimately working on behalf of the American people. It’s America first, not Belgium first, and European elites like that guy was talking they can’t stand that — they know Americans don’t care, but it bothers them that the President doesn’t because they’re supposed to kneel before them.

    And the great thing about Trump is that his personal goals, like he would like to be great and do well, align perfectly with the voters. I don’t know if that’s ever happened before, because imagine the opposite, if the President’s aims don’t align with the people, we live through that, why did the Biden White House preside over such nonsense like open borders, recidivist crime wave, men in women’s sports, censorship lockdowns targeting citizens over speech. These were products of a government in which their aims were not ours, and so when they achieve them, they felt good. But the American public were like, what the hell is going on? Their highlights, our leaders’ highlights were our low lights.

    And I think now — I think we — this is the closest a president has ever aligned to voters. Every issue he’s on the right side. Planted a flag on the hill of common sense. The high ground maneuver has exposed Democrats for being, you know, addicted to luxury beliefs at the expense of the American public.

  • Seth Meyers Jokes He’s ‘Always Admired’ Trump After Kimmel Suspension, Promises ‘We’re Gonna Keep Doing Our Show the Way We’ve Always Done It’

    On Thursday’s episode of “Late Night,” Seth Meyers sarcastically pretended to seek approval from Donald Trump in response to the news that ABC pulled “Jimmy Kimmel Live” off the air.

    “His administration is pursuing a crackdown on free speech — and completely unrelated, I just want to say, before we get started here, that I’ve always admired and respected Mr. Trump,” he said as the audience laughed loudly. “I’ve always believed he was a visionary, innovator, a great president, an even better golfer. And if you’ve ever seen me say anything negative about him, that’s just AI.”

    Meyers jokes were a reference to the fact that ABC made its decision about Kimmel after FCC chairman and Trump appointee Brendan Carr threatened legal action over Kimmel’s recent comments about Charlie Kirk. Following Carr’s words, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” was pulled from all ABC affiliate stations owned by Nexstar and Sinclair. Production was halted on the series indefinitely soon after. Kimmel’s suspension has been seen by many, including former president Barack Obama, as an attack on free speech and a sign of the Trump administration intimidating media companies to “fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.”

    On a more serious note, Meyers added, “It is a privilege and an honor to call Jimmy Kimmel my friend in the same way that it’s a privilege and honor to do this show every night. I wake up every day, I count my blessings that I live in a country that at least purports to value freedom of speech, and we’re gonna keep doing our show the way we’ve always done it: with enthusiasm and integrity.”

    If Trump has it his way, Meyers and his fellow NBC late night host Jimmy Fallon will be next on the chopping block. The president wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday, “Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”

    Kimmel came under fire after his Monday night broadcast, during which he said the “MAGA mob” was “trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.” The commentary drew a response from FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, who said during an appearance on Benny Johnson’s podcast Wednesday, “We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

    In the aftermath of Kimmel’s pre-empting, Carr wrote on X, “I want to thank Nexstar for doing the right thing. Local broadcasters have an obligation to serve the public interest. While this may be an unprecedented decision, it is important for broadcasters to push back on Disney programming that they determine falls short of community values. I hope that other broadcasters follow Nexstar’s lead.”

    One of Fox News’ top hosts said that many of the world’s problems would be solved if women were to vanish from the planet.

    Greg Gutfeld, the right-wing channel’s resident jester who was recently promoted to host his own prime time hour, made a series of brazenly sexist comments on Monday’s edition of “The Five” during a discussion on looting.

    As surveillance video played showing a smash-and-grab that occurred over the weekend at a Los Angeles Nordstrom, Gutfeld went on a rant portraying women as soft on crime and effectively blaming the entire gender for supposed policies that would prevent such crimes from being committed.

    “What would happen if all the women took a ladies week off and they went to Venus … How many of these problems would still exist?” Gutfeld wondered aloud.

    Gutfeld, who allowed for the possibility that new problems would emerge in the absence of women, confidently argued that “smash and grabs” and “rampant recidivism” would “disappear.”

    At one point during the discussion, Gutfeld acknowledged that what he was saying might not sit well with Jeanine Pirro, a tough-on-crime co-host of “The Five” who previously worked as a prosecutor and served as a New York state judge.

    “I know this is offensive to the judge because she thinks like a dude,” Gutfeld joked.

    Gutfeld concluded his rant, shouting, “What I’m saying is that we have gotten so soft and it is because we have decided that discipline and punishment is wrong.”

    A Fox News spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment on Tuesday.

    Gutfeld is no stranger to controversy, having made a number of comments during his time at Fox News that have ignited significant backlash.

    Just last month, the White House condemned Fox News over comments Gutfeld made about the Holocaust, describing the remarks as a “horrid, dangerous, and extreme lie” that “insults the memory of the millions of people who suffered from the evils” committed by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime.

    Gutfeld never apologized and Fox News did not comment.

    Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld was slammed as “disgusting” by a regular panelist on his late-night “Gutfeld!” show after he hailed a California teacher who has been accused of having sex with a student.

    Gutfeld glibly summed up the arrest this week of Yucaipa High School math teacher Tracy Vanderhulst, 38, over allegations she had unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old male student, as: “Another hot teacher bangs student.” Per a statement from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, there “may be additional victims.”

    “I’m sorry, come on. Sixteen years old? I would have died for that,” Gutfeld said about the allegations on Monday, in comments his audience lapped up.

    Kat Timpf, a regular panelist on the show, fiercely disagreed.

    “Again, I am vehemently against banging kids,” she said. “I can’t believe how many times I’ve had to say that just sitting in this chair.”

    “A 16-year-old boy with a hot teacher. I mean, what was the Van Halen Song? ‘Hot For Teacher.’ That was written about this. It wasn’t written about, ‘Hey, let’s have a responsible relationship with someone close to my age.’”

    “Am I right to say that it is an unfair comparison to do the female to male teacher? Like a male teacher, 38-year-old, creepy. Female, heroic,” Gutfeld asked.

    “You’re disgusting,” Timpf replied.

    “I don’t condone it, I just envy it,” Gutfeld concluded. “I’m not saying it’s right, I’m just saying, ‘Why not me?’ All my teachers were so unattractive too.”
