We’re a few days from finding out the winner of Super Bowl LX and the Eagles have already begun preparations to fill out position coaches while simultaneously opening up more availabilities. Making the offseason checklist a little bit longer.
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

It didn’t take very long after the wildcard round for Howie Roseman to confirm the Eagles would be looking for their 5th Offensive Coordinator during the 6-year Nick Sirianni tenure. Moving on from Patullo was the right decision, as the Eagles struggled 18+ weeks and seemingly burned some extra bridges as things went on. With an Eagles offense that had 10/11 returning offensive starters, (Mekhi Becton – Tyler Steen) the Eagles went from a powerhouse ranking 5th in PPG (29.0) during the 2024 campaign into 19th with only 22.1 PPG.
Chopping off an entire touchdown from the Eagles scoring would’ve been enough points for them to finish the year 14-3. Alas, safe & turnover free football ended their season over a month ago.
Sean Mannion
Since retiring in 2023 Mannion has been involved with the Green Bay Packers as both Offensive Assitant and Quarterbacks Coach. Getting to work alongside Matt LaFleur, viewed as an elite coach around the league. And working with the development of Jordan Love the past few seasons has primed Mannion for a promotion heading into the 2026 season.
Was he the Eagles first option? Probably not. But as Mike McDaniel, Brian Daboll and other top OC/HC options came off the board the Eagles had to strike for their guy. Giving Mannion autonomy with the offense opened the door for creativity and the ability to bring in guys he wanted.
Yesterday, the Eagles hired Ryan Mahaffey as the Run Game Coordinator and Tight Ends Coach. Filling out roles previously filled by Jeff Stoutland and Jason Michael.
Mahaffey was previously in Green Bay with Mannion as the wide receivers coach and Assistant offensive line coach.
So far the Eagles new hires are proving that Mannion will get to bring in his own staff. But pushing out tenured coaches like Jeff Stoutland who helped develop elite players from Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson, to turning a rugby player into an All-Pro in Jordan Mailata.
There’s also no current answer whether the team will retain Scot Loeffler who might have been the mastermind behind getting Dallas Goedert 11 touchdowns in 2025. While it seems coaches like Aaron Moorehead who has hung onto his job as wide receiver coach for the last 6 years as the Eagles have struggled to develop a single receiver outside of DeVonta Smith. Who, let’s be real. Wasn’t turned into the player he is today from the help of Moorehead.
There’s still a long offseason to go with plenty of roster and coaching changes along the way. Who’s on your list for the Eagles next move?

4 Iconic Eagles’ Playoff Moments That Would Never Be Forgotten
Here are some of the top moments etched in the hearts of every Eagles fan:
1) 1960 NFL Championship: Ending Lombardi’s Reign
Before the Super Bowl became the thing, the Eagles stunned the football world by clinching their most historic win in a match against the Green Bay Packers in the 1960 NFL Championship game. Led by the legendary Buck Shaw, the team went up against the power-packed Packers, who were dominating the league at the time.
However, with a combination of a great strategy, a strong defense, and a lethal attack led by Ted Dean, they were able to seal a late victory by a score of 17-13. And that was the first NFL title that the team won.
2) 1980 NFC Championship: Knocking Off Dallas
In 1980, the Philadelphia Eagles decided it was time to decorate their trophy room, and what better way to do that than against their bitter rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. In the 1980 NFC Championship game that ended 20-7, the Eagles went on to ease to victory.
This win means so much more because it was against the Cowboys, who had dominated the NFC throughout the 1970s. And it was an added bonus because they were able to prevent the team from reaching another Super Bowl final.
3) 2003 Divisional Round: “4th and 26”
Every hardcore Eagles fan would always remember the historic “4th and 26th” game that set a precedent for the team. In the 2003 NFC Divisional round, the Eagles had to claw out a win against the Green Bay Packers in the brutal cold. A match that most already tipped in the opponents’ favor, the Eagles were visibly behind in the fourth quarter.
Then they faced fourth-and-26 from their 25-yard line before the magic happened when Donovan McNabb found Freddie Mitchell on a crossing route for 28 yards. This helped them win in overtime with a score line of 20-17.
As NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Ray Didinger put it:
“He will always be remembered for the 4th-and-26. A lot of better players came to Philadelphia and played for the Eagles, and won’t be remembered as vividly as Freddie Mitchell will be remembered for that one play.”
4) Super Bowl LII: The Ultimate Victory
The final topping on the cake came at Super Bowl LII, and cemented the result as the greatest win in Eagles’ history. As the underdogs in a match against the Patriots, who had names like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick on their roster, they even expected them to lose.
However, in a shock of the decade, Nick Foles decided to drop an A-class performance that saw him get three touchdowns and throw for 373 yards. He even went on to catch a touchdown on the famous Philly Special. And this helped the Eagles earn their first-ever Super Bowl title in over 50 years.

“F— the Packers!” Johnson said. “F— them! F—ing hate those guys.”
The rivalry between the Bears and Packers is certainly revved up. Johnson threw gasoline on the fire when he first joined the Bears when he was asked why he chose Chicago. He said he “kinda enjoyed beating Matt LaFleur twice a year.”
The message sparked a few icy handshakes during the season, including one after the playoff game. Chicago went 1-1 against Green Bay in the regular season and defeated them when it counted the most.
The first-year head coach praised his players for their gritty performance, coming off two losses and going into halftime down 21-3. Johnson said his team was “built for pressure.”

The Bears outscored the Packers, 25-6, in the fourth quarter. Caleb Williams had two touchdown passes in the quarter, including the 25-yard go-ahead touchdown pass to D.J. Moore.
Williams was 24-of-48 with 361 passing yards, two touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love was 24-of-46 with 323 passing yards and four touchdown passes.

The two teams will be meeting in the postseason for just the third time. The Bears won a Western Division playoff game over the Packers 33-14 at Wrigley Field on Dec. 14, 1941. The Packers beat the Bears 21-14 in an NFC championship game at Soldier Field on Jan. 23, 2011.

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love is expected to play for the first time since Dec. 20, when he left the game in Chicago with a concussion. Chicago QB Caleb Williams makes his playoff debut. He was the No. 1 overall draft pick last year.
QB Jordan Love: He hasn’t played in a game since a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago’s Austin Booker in the second quarter of the Dec. 20 Packers-Bears game sent him into concussion protocol. Love was cleared before Green Bay’s regular-season finale, but the Packers opted to rest him for the playoffs. Love has nine touchdown passes and only two interceptions in six games against the Bears.
Bears player to watch
QB Caleb Williams. The Bears envisioned deep playoff runs on a regular basis when they drafted Williams with the No. 1 overall pick last year. They hope this is just the start. Williams threw for a franchise-record 3,942 yards with 27 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Though his completion percentage ranked last among qualifying leaders, he became more and more comfortable in coach Ben Johnson’s system.
Key matchup
Chicago’s running backs against Green Bay’s defensive line. Though the Bears’ run game emerged as one of the best this season behind a retooled line, it was hard to tell against Detroit. Chicago managed just 65 yards rushing, with D’Andre Swift held to 40 yards on 10 attempts and rookie Kyle Monangai finishing with 14 yards on six carries. With Swift running for 1,087 yards and Monangai adding 783, the Bears were the only team with two 750-yard rushers. Green Bay struggled to stop the run in recent weeks, with Devonte Wyatt (ankle) and then Micah Parsons (knee) suffering season-ending injuries. The Packers gave up 150 yards rushing to the Bears in their most recent meeting and then allowed Derrick Henry to run for 216 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-24 loss to Baltimore.

Packers: WR/CB Bo Melton (knee), CB Kamal Hadden (ankle), CB Nate Hobbs (knee), DL Jordon Riley (Achilles tendon) and S Zayne Anderson (ankle) have gone on injured reserve since the most recent Packers-Bears game. … WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game. … OT Zach Tom (knee) missed the Packers’ last three regular-season games and is questionable for Saturday. Also questionable are DL Warren Brinson (foot), S Javon Bullard (knee), LB Nick Niemann (pectoral) and backup QB Malik Willis (shoulder/hamstring).
Bears: WR Rome Odunze (foot) expects to play after missing the final five regular-season games. … CB Kyler Gordon (groin) is questionable as he attempts to return after being sidelined since Week 13. He has been limited to three games because of hamstring and groin injuries. … CB C.J. The Packers are 30-7 against the Bears counting the playoffs since the start of the 2008 season, with the past four games coming down to the wire. In 2024, both came down to field-goal attempts by Chicago’s Cairo Santos on the final play – one that got blocked and one that was successful. This season, Green Bay hung on to win 28-21 in Week 14 at Lambeau Field when Keisean Nixon intercepted Williams in the end zone with 22 seconds remaining. Chicago returned the favor two weeks later, rallying from 10 down in the final two minutes of regulation before Williams threw a 46-yard touchdown to DJ Moore in overtime. The Minnesota Vikings now know the teams they’ll be playing during the 2026 regular season.
The National Football League announced each team’s complete list of opponents on Monday, one day after the Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 16-3. Minnesota finished the 2025 season third in the NFC North with a 9-8 record.
The Vikings will battle all teams from the AFC East and NFC South, the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers, along with their six divisional games against the NFC North.

Next season will mark Kevin O’Connell’s fifth as head coach for the Vikings. He’s compiled a 43-25 record in 68 games with the team.
Minnesota will have the 18th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to take place April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. The Vikings said they’ve selected from that spot three times in franchise history, selecting defensive back Dewayne Washington in 1994, defensive end Erasmus James in 2005 and center Garrett Bradbury in 2019.

Justin Jefferson finally passed the 1,000-yard mark in the last game of the season for the Minnesota Vikings.
With his fifth catch on Sunday against the rival Green Bay Packers, a simple hitch route he turned into a 17-yard gain, the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver hit the four-digit mark for the sixth consecutive year. Jefferson immediately received a loud ovation from the U.S. Bank Stadium crowd.
“He should never play a season for the Minnesota Vikings and not get to those numbers,” said coach Kevin O’Connell, who routinely praised Jefferson’s attitude and leadership throughout the season despite career lows in every significant category for the two-time All-Pro.
Jefferson was again roundly cheered in the third quarter when he passed the 100-yard mark for the first time in 12 games. He finished Minnesota’s 16-3 victory over the Packers with eight receptions for 101 yards on 11 targets.
The only other receivers in NFL history to start their careers with six straight 1,000-yard seasons were Randy Moss (1998-2003) and Mike Evans (2014-19).
Jefferson has the most receiving yardage (8,480) all time over a player’s first six years in the league. This was by far his most difficult season, with the Vikings’ offense frequently struggling throughout the developmental process for quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who missed seven games due to injuries.
“Definitely relieved, just off of a difficult year, emotionally and physically, to come out with the attitude of trying to finish the game and trying to leave a mark and show the world that I’m still the best receiver in the league,” Jefferson said. “It definitely felt great just to get that accolade and to really go into the offseason with a good taste in my mouth, but it’s definitely on to more work, on to getting my young ‘un right, making sure that we don’t have the same outcome this season.”
J.J. McCarthy had a productive first half before he was injured again, fullback C.J. Ham rushed for a short touchdown, and the Minnesota Vikings finished a frustrating season by beating the resting Green Bay Packers 16-3 on Sunday.
Green Bay (9-7-1) was locked into the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoffs and had nothing to play for.
McCarthy, who went 14 for 23 for 182 yards passing, pulled himself out after his first throw of the third quarter so the athletic training staff could examine his right hand and did not return. Backup Max Brosmer took it from there, helping Justin Jefferson reach the 100-yard mark for the first time in 12 games as the Vikings (9-8) coasted to their fifth consecutive victory.
Jefferson had already secured his sixth straight 1,000-yard season, only the third receiver in NFL history to accomplish that feat.
With Jordan Love safely watching on the sideline and Malik Willis recovering from injuries, the Packers gave Clayton Tune his second career start at quarterback and netted minus-7 passing yards. Dallas Turner had two of Minnesota’s four sacks that racked up 41 lost yards for Green Bay.
Tune went 6 for 11 for 34 yards with Packers coach Matt LaFleur holding out almost every available starter and sending Daniel Whelan out to punt on Green Gay’s first eight possessions, excluding a kneel-down to end the first half. LaFleur called timeout with 1 second left from the 5-yard line so Brandon McManus could spoil the shutout with a short field goal.
Farewell moment?
Ham, the two-time Pro Bowl pick who has played all 10 seasons in the NFL for his home-state team, received several ovations from the crowd with the possibility this was his final game. Another potential farewell was for 14th-year safety Harrison Smith, who was feted multiple times throughout the afternoon.
Injury report
Packers: WR Bo Melton (knee) limped off after covering a punt in the second quarter, forcing Jayden Reed into some action in three-receiver sets with Dontayvion Wicks (concussion) inactive and Savion Williams (foot) on injured reserve. The Packers otherwise preferred to keep their three starting WRs — Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Reed — on the sideline with every other key player. … One of the few starters who saw on action on defense, nickel back Javon Bullard, limped off in the fourth quarter with a knee injury.
Vikings: TE Josh Oliver hurt his ankle in the second quarter after moving the chains with a 7-yard reception and did not return. … RB Aaron Jones (hip) and TE T.J. Hockenson (shoulder) were inactive, among five starters missing from the original lineup at the beginning of the season.
Up next
The Packers play in the wild-card round next weekend at the No. 2 seed, either Chicago or Philadelphia.
The Vikings will have a busy offseason, needing to clear plenty of space under the salary cap and improve their depth at quarterback, on the offensive line and at cornerback. They’ll pick in the first round somewhere between 16th and 18th.
Justin Jefferson has hardly been admired more by the Minnesota Vikings than during this season of frustration for their once-potent offense, despite production by the four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver that has lagged well behind his remarkable standard.
Helping him hit the 1,000-yard mark — against the rival Green Bay Packers on Sunday — would be at least be a nice parting gift.
“I want to leave this year off with a good note,” said Jefferson, who has the most yards receiving in NFL history over a player’s first six seasons.
The Vikings were eliminated from contention for the playoffs before they took the field in Week 15, their earliest exit from the race since 2014, with a predictably rocky debut for quarterback J.J. McCarthy the primary reason. Backups Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer have also taken their turns struggling to keep afloat the down-field passing attack that has revolved around Jefferson since coach Kevin O’Connell’s arrival in 2022.
Jefferson’s averages of 12.5 yards per reception and 59.2 yards per game are by far career lows, even though he has run his routes as well as ever and stayed healthy all season. But he has lived up to his role as a captain by never complaining, doing his best to encourage the developing McCarthy despite one of his prime years being squandered.
“It means a lot just to go out there and continue to compete, continue to give it my all and just show the effort,” said Jefferson, who needs 53 yards against the Packers to become the third receiver in league history to log 1,000 yards in each of his first six seasons after Randy Moss and Mike Evans.
“It starts with that offseason work and building that connection and eliminating those habits that he had that we felt hindered him throughout the season,” Jefferson said this week, publicly expressing his desire to have McCarthy as the starter again in 2026. “He still has learning to do and growing to do, so that’s all part of the game, but it’s up to me to require more of him and to work with him more.”
Packers name Tune as starting quarterback
With Jordan Love playing it safe on the sideline after a concussion two weeks ago and backup Malik Willis dealing with injuries, Clayton Tune will start at quarterback for Green Bay.
His only other NFL start came as a rookie in 2023 with Arizona, when he was sacked seven times and threw two interceptions in a 27-0 loss to Cleveland.
“Obviously in practice you try to prepare for the game as much as you can, but once you’re in it for real, that’s when you get the full sense of it,” said Tune, who was a fifth-round draft pick out of Houston. “I’m excited to be in there and trust the training I’ve put in.”
Balancing rest with rust
The Packers, who are locked into the last wild-card spot for the NFC playoffs for the third straight time, had a remote chance of bettering the No. 7 seed entering the regular-season finale last year when they lost to Chicago and lost wide receiver Christian Watson to a torn ACL.
With the injuries to vital players taking their toll this season, the Packers can’t afford to lose another one and will likely hold more healthy starters out beyond Love. But they would also prefer not to take a fourth straight loss into the playoffs.
According to Sportradar, only three teams in NFL history – the Jets (1986), the Lions (1999) and the Steelers (2024) — have entered the postseason with a four-game losing streak or longer. Only the Jets won their first playoff game from that group.
“That’s what practice is all there for, and I think we’ve done a great job of amping it up this week,” Love said. “Guys have been flying around at practice. We’ve been doing a great job.”
Green Bay’s cornerback concerns
Not only will McCarthy and the Vikings’ offense not have to face star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who tore his ACL last month, but the Packers are hurting at cornerback, too.
Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine haven’t played particularly well during this late-season slump, and backups Kamal Hadden and Nate Hobbs went on injured reserve this week.
The Packers claimed Trevon Diggs off waivers from Dallas this week, with the possibility the two-time Pro Bowl pick will play Sunday after just a few days of orientation.
“The same coverages are same coverages,” said Diggs, who led the NFL with 11 interceptions in an All-Pro season in 2021. “It’s just different languages and different terminology. I feel like that’s just going to be the tough part.”
Melton’s two-way moment?
Another option at cornerback for Green Bay could be wide receiver Bo Melton, who has worked on defense in practice this season though all of his game action has been on offense and special teams.
“I’m not going to take any opportunity and make it bigger than what it is — even though it could be, could not be,” Melton said. “At the end of the day, I’m going to go out there and be me.”

McCarthy missed the Vikings’ Christmas Day win over the Detroit Lions with a fracture in his hand. The 22-year-old quarterback will end his sophomore season having missed 24 of 34 possible games. He sat out his entire rookie season due to a torn meniscus, and missed time earlier this year because of an ankle injury and a concussion.
The former 10th overall pick has completed 57.3% of his passes for 1,450 yards, 11 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in nine games this year. He has a 5-4 record as a starter. After struggling for much of the year, McCarthy had strung together a couple of quality performances before hurting his hand.
The 8-8 Vikings will seek to end a disappointing season with a winning record when they take on the Packers. With Green Bay locked into the NFC’s seventh and final playoff seed, the team is expected to rest most of its starters.
(CNN) — It’s been a long 2025 NFL season so far with twists, turns, shocking injuries, surprising contenders and disappointing years from preseason favorites.
As we come off another intriguing week of action across the league and approach the end of the season, the playoff picture is becoming more and more clear.
With just one week of the NFL regular season left, who’s in, who’s out and who still has a shot at making a postseason run for a spot in Super Bowl LX and a chance to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Who’s in?

AFC
1. Denver Broncos (13-3, 1st AFC West): The Broncos already qualified for the postseason but still beat the Patrick Mahomes-less Kansas City Chiefs 20-13 on Friday. A win against the Los Angeles Chargers at Mile High in Week 18 will earn Denver top seed status in the AFC.
2. New England Patriots (13-3, 1st AFC East): New England will be lurking should Denver fail to wrap up the conference and the Pats will play the Miami Dolphins to close out the season.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4, 1st AFC South): The Jags are also still in the running for the first-round bye after beating the Indianapolis Coltsin Week 17. They now host the Tennessee Titans in Week 18.
5. Houston Texans (11-5, 2nd AFC South): Houston’s sensational defense has fired the franchise into the postseason for a third straight year. The team confirmed its place in the playoffs with a 20-16 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.
6. Los Angeles Chargers (11-5, 2nd AFC West): The Chargers will be happy to have already locked up a postseason spot as they face a motivated Denver squad in the final week of the regular season.
7. Buffalo Bills (11-5, 2nd AFC East): After losing in dramatic circumstances against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bills close out the year with a home game against the Jets having already secured their berth in the playoffs.

1. Seattle Seahawks (13-3, 1st NFC West): After missing the playoffs in the last two campaigns, the Seahawks are back in the postseason and tightened their grip on the No. 1 seed after beating the Carolina Panthers 27-10 in Week 17. Seattle now faces the San Francisco 49ers in its last regular season game.
2. Chicago Bears (11-5, 1st NFC North): Da Bears haven’t made the postseason since 2020, so some celebration in the Windy City is merited, but Chicago has only made the playoffs twice since 2010 – and lost in the wild card round both times. After spending so many years in the proverbial wilderness, the team won’t be content with just making it. The Bears take on the Detroit Lions in Week 18.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (11-5, 1st NFC East): The defending Super Bowl champions are back in the postseason to defend their title, but with hopes of a first-round bye now over, Philly may look to rest players ahead of a game against the Washington Commanders in Week 18.
5. San Francisco 49ers (12-4, 2nd NFC West): After missing the postseason last year, the Niners are back and looking dangerous. Starting QB Brock Purdy is back and playing incredibly as they host the Seahawks in Week 18 with the No. 1 seed in the conference at stake.
6. Los Angeles Rams (11-5, 3rd NFC West): The Rams round out an incredible NFC West, which has three teams in the playoffs. Los Angeles, though, suffered a surprise defeat against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17 and closes out the regular season with a game against the Arizona Cardinals.
7. Green Bay Packers (9-6-1, 2nd NFC North): The Pack lost to Baltimore in Week 17 but still secured the NFC seventh seed heading into the playoffs. Off the back of three straight defeats, Green Bay heads to Minnesota in Week 18 to take on the eliminated Vikings.

Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7, 1st AFC North): The Steelers only had to beat the Cleveland Browns on the road last Sunday to secure their place in the playoffs, but blew the opportunity after losing 13-6. Pittsburgh now faces a winner-takes-all clash against its bitter rival, the Baltimore Ravens, in Week 18. Pittsburgh currently has a 40% chance of making the playoffs, according to the NFL.
9. Baltimore Ravens (8-8, 2nd AFC North): The Ravens had Super Bowl aspirations before the year kicked off with two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and star running back Derrick Henry, but it all seemed to fall apart with Jackson missing significant time due to injury. But results went their way on Week 17 andthey beat the Packers 41-24. It all means that the NFL says the Ravens now have a 60% chance of reaching the postseason still.

4. Carolina Panthers (8-8, 1st NFC South): Carolina is still sitting first in its division despite losing to the Seahawks in Week 17. The Panthers still have a chance of reaching the postseason as they face a win-or-go-home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18. The NFL says Carolina has a 72% chance of making it to the playoffs.
11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9, 2nd NFC South): The Bucs lost to the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 and now everything hangs on the final game of the regular season against the Panthers. We’ll see what happens but the NFL gives Tampa Bay justa 28% chance of progressing.
The Baltimore Ravens’ season was on the brink going into Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers and they needed a win to keep their playoff chances alive.
Derrick Henry was called upon to carry the load and he delivered.

The star running back got the ball early and often. He scored three touchdowns in the first half – all on the ground. He started with a 3-yard score in the first quarter and followed it with a 1-yard score and another 3-yard score in the second quarter.
Henry’s fourth touchdown came in the fourth quarter. Baltimore was hanging on to a 10-point lead and the veteran delivered the dagger on a 25-yard touchdown.
The Ravens won the game 41-24. Henry finished with 216 rushing yards on 36 carries.
Baltimore needed to ride Henry because of injuries to the leader of the offense, Lamar Jackson. He was out for the game due to a back injury. Tyler Huntley subbed in for Jackson and was 16-of-20 for 107 passing yards. He had a clutch touchdown pass to Zay Flowers in the fourth quarter.

The Packers lost out on the NFC North title with the defeat, ceding it to the Chicago Bears. Green Bay was also missing a crucial part of their offense in Jordan Love.
Malik Willis got the start and did as well as he could. He had 288 passing yards, a touchdown pass, 60 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He showed tremendous heart and nearly gave the death knell to the Ravens’ season. He didn’t finish the game as he suffered a right shoulder injury.
Packers wide receiver Christian Watson had five catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.
The Ravens still need to hope that the Pittsburgh Steelers suffer an upset at the hands of the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. But they can sleep easier knowing that they did their part for at least one night when their backs were against the wall.

The College Football Playoff is the talk of the sports world right now as 12 teams compete for the national title, but the NFL wanted to remind everyone this past weekend who is still the king when it comes down to it.
On Saturday, college football and the NFL went head-to-head on broadcast with two games each, and the viewership results, like many of the CFP games, were blowouts by the final whistle.
In the opening contest, 15.46 million people watched the Eagles take hold of the NFC East crown against divisional rival Washington, a game that was close until it wasn’t.
For the CFP, 6.2 million watched as Ole Miss beat down the Tulane Green Wave for the second time this season in a laugher that felt over following the first quick Mississippi drive for a touchdown.
At night, it was more of the same: a whopping 21.34 million watched the Bears take down the Packers in one of the more entertaining regular-season games of the year. Caleb Williams and company came back in the final minutes, aided by an onside kick, to push the game into overtime before throwing a deep shot into the endzone for a dramatic walk-off victory.
Oregon vs. James Madison, which was another Group of Five team getting smacked around by a perennial powerhouse, had no chance. 4.4 million tuned in to watch as the Dukes tried their best to hang on in a game where the Ducks scored at will at home in Eugene.
For college football fans, however, they will argue that Saturday’s biggest game was on first, which was the back-and-forth defensive battle between Texas A&M and Miami. It was the highest by far on the day for the CFP, with 14.8 million watching as Miami won on the road at College Station to set up a quarterfinal against defending champion Ohio State.
Many professional athletes discover a new life when they’re done playing their sport. For Issac Keys, the transition from football to acting was unusual. After several turbulent chapters, Keys is now in a better place in life. He is ready to share his story in his upcoming memoir. The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes. The book documents moments of his NFL career, the uncertainty he lived through, and how he transitioned to acting. Keys wants to use this book to convey the message that anyone can adapt and overcome life-derailing obstacles.
“Look at that pivotal point in your life where you had to make a change because you were derailed from the thing you were supposed to do. Think about the things you wanted so bad and worked so hard for, and they were all of a sudden taken away. For me, I realized it was a part of the grind. It didn’t stop, it changed,” said Issac Keys, actor and former NFL star.
The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes debuts in February 2026. Keys decided to tell his story because of the passing of his father, Issac Keys Sr. Keys Sr’s health started to decline due to onset dementia and sepsis. He passed away on June 8, 2024, two days after the actor’s birthday. This experience led the former NFL star to reevaluate the meaning of legacy and realize how limited our time is.
“Legacy is not always just about kids or what you leave behind; it’s about what you accomplish in the time that you have on this earth. At this point in my life, I realized that time is not promised,” said Keys.
Keys is a former NFL Linebacker. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, and Arizona Cardinals in the early 2000s. After football, he did not have a clear plan. Keys explains that he was in a state of desperation and lost. What led to Keys’ struggles after the sport were a few real estate deals that went bad and burned through his money. Keys had less than $100 in 2007.
In 2009, Keys moved to Los Angeles and worked several different jobs, like private security and youth intervention. He juggled those while taking acting classes. His effort paid off, as he landed roles on TV series such as Supergirl, Lucifer, and The Rookie. His latest role as Diamond Samson on the spin-off series Power Book IV: Force is his biggest project. This life-changing part helped his finances and made him famous to the point where people stop him for pictures wherever he goes. Even though the role improved his circumstances, Keys didn’t feel secure.
“When I got the call that told me I got the part, I did a Tiger Woods fist bump and yelled in my apartment. Yet, even after they told me I got the role, I still didn’t believe it. I didn’t believe it because I’ve been through so much heartbreak. People told me I was going to do this and that throughout my life. I didn’t believe it because I felt like it could simply be taken away,” said Keys.
The actor started on the book last year after shooting the final season of Power Book IV. Keys explains that writing the Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes made him reflect on his childhood. This experience made him question the fights he had as a kid, how putting on a tough exterior led him to football, and whether he was naive in moments of trust with people. He thought deeply about which experiences made it into the book and how most can learn from it.
“I was able to dig deep into these emotions, which can be great conversations to have with young people or adults. The process of writing this book made me think about why we are the way we are and what barriers are keeping us this way,” said Keys.
Keys wants to use the story of his life to illustrate that reinvention is possible for anyone who has had to survive life-wrecking situations. He wants to share the chapters of his life in hopes of helping someone and relating to those who feel stuck in their own journey. The Grind Don’t Stop, It Just Changes tells the many lives Keys had to live to go from a bankrupt NFL athlete to a Hollywood actor. The memoir will be released in February 2026.
As far as NFL rivalries go, few can match the intensity seen in matchups between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
The NFC North teams have been battling it out for the better part of a century now, and the Packers have historically been on the winning end of things. However, that does not mean the Lions have not had their moments against one of the most iconic franchises in football.
This article will highlight Detroit’s most surprising victories over its divisional opponent.
Nov. 22, 1962: A Thanksgiving Massacre
While this date might not be the most recognizable matchup between these squads, it does stand out as one of the most historically significant. It was a Thanksgiving matchup with massive implications for both teams, with the Packers entering at 10-0 while the Lions were 9-1. The betting line illustrated just how good Green Bay was, as the Packers entered as 6.5-point favorites in a road game against another elite team.
Any bettor who took the Lions was surely delighted with the results. Behind a fantastic defense that constantly harassed Packers quarterback Bart Starr, Detroit jumped to a 23-0 lead in the first half and never looked back. The Lions added only a single field goal in the second half, but they held Green Bay out of the end zone until a 14-point explosion at the end of the game. It was too little, too late, and the Lions emerged victorious over a team that was presumed to be the best in the NFL by a wide margin.
Dec. 15, 1991: A Memorable Run
The roles in this game were almost entirely reversed from the 1962 iteration. The Lions marched onto Lambeau Field with a 10-4 record, carrying the franchise’s first winning record in eight seasons. Meanwhile, the Packers were in the midst of an agonizing year, going 3-11, with one of those losses taking place in Week 2 against the Lions. The chance to play spoiler to a divisional rival surely provided some reason for optimism, but any hope was quickly extinguished when the game kicked off.
While Green Bay got on the board first, the Lions quickly tied things up with a first-quarter touchdown from wide receiver Robert Clark. A Packers field goal at the end of the first half pulled Green Bay ahead, a lead the Packers would maintain until the fourth quarter.
Contrary to classic Lions play, Detroit came up clutch in the fourth quarter. Clark caught another touchdown, and the Lions even got a special teams score from Mel Gray on a 78-yard punt return touchdown. The Packers scored at the end of the game to make the box score a little closer, but it was a solid Detroit victory through and through.
Nov. 28, 2013: Thanksgiving Massacre, Part 2
Thanksgiving matchups, by virtue of being nationally televised, always carry more weight than the average regular-season game. The Lions capitalized on that expanded publicity in 2013 by putting an all-time beating on the Packers in front of their home fans.

The fact that the majority of the scoring came at the hands of two Detroit legends only made things sweeter. Quarterback Matthew Stafford, the franchise’s all-time leading passer by a wide margin, tossed 330 yards and three touchdowns. One of those touchdowns went to one of the greatest Lions ever, wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who finished with 101 yards and a score on six catches. Detroit wrapped up a massive 40-10 win over the Packers, a victory that would be the last of its season.
Jan. 8, 2023: A New Era
There is nothing like late-season divisional drama. The Lions headed to Lambeau Field in the final week of the season, having already been eliminated from the playoffs. Still, the Packers, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, would make the postseason with a win over their rivals.
The first half was a field goal fest, with Green Bay heading into the half with a slim 9-6 lead. The game’s first touchdown came with eight minutes left in the third quarter, when Lions running back Jamaal Williams punched in a 1-yard score to put Detroit in front, 13-9. Rodgers responded with a touchdown strike for the Packers, moving Green Bay right back in front as the game entered the final period.

After a couple of punts, Detroit quarterback Jared Goff engineered a fantastic 13-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that once again ended in a Williams 1-yard score. It was one of the best possessions of the Lions’ season, and it proved to be the dagger in Green Bay’s side. Rodgers ran five plays with the Packers offense before taking a deep shot that was intercepted by safety Kerby Joseph. The Lions ended Green Bay’s season and Rodgers’ career in the city, as that interception to Joseph was the last pass he would ever throw as a Packer.
Big Wins and Big Moments
While the Lions have seldom dominated their matchups with the Packers, they have their fair share of huge wins against their rival. The most recent one on the list stands out as one of the most consequential, as it simultaneously knocked Green Bay out of the playoffs while sending a Packers’ franchise great packing when Rodgers left the team.
Moments like that one are sure to keep coming as these teams continue to face each other twice a year.
The Atlanta Falcons are back home after defeating the New Orleans Saints 24-10 on the road on Sunday. The victory may have only been the Falcons’ first in five weeks, but it has some significance. The win reignited the discussion over what it would take to make the playoffs, at the very least.
The Falcons are back on the road against the New York Jets (2-9 overall) on Sunday. A loss to the Jets would render this entire breakdown moot. The Falcons cannot afford to lose any of their remaining games. The seven losses are more than any of the teams that are in Atlanta’s way of getting a wild card spot have. Those teams are the following: the Detroit Lions (7-4), Green Bay Packers (7-3-1), Seattle Seahawks (8-3), San Francisco 49ers (8-4), and the Carolina Panthers (6-6 following a loss at San Francisco on Monday night. The Panthers hold a tiebreaker over the Falcons after sweeping them this season.
Following the Jets game, the Falcons will return home to host the Seahawks, who are a game behind the L.A. Rams (9-2 overall) in the NFC West on Sunday, Dec. 7. Atlanta will host the Rams and NFL MVP candidate and former University of Georgia Bulldogs star quarterback Matthew Stafford (30 touchdowns and two interceptions this season) next month in the last Monday Night Football game of the year on Dec. 29. Both games can be described as the toughest of the season for Atlanta.
Atlanta will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Dec. 11, and a loss to Tampa will end the season, even if the Falcons win every other game they play from this point forward. The season-opening loss to Tampa has Atlanta in a position to not lose to the Buccaneers again or be swept by two teams in the NFC South (Carolina).
The Falcons have games against the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday, Dec. 21, and the Saints at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to close the regular season on Jan. 4. Neither will matter if the winning doesn’t continue. The Philadelphia Eagles (8-3), Chicago Bears (8-3), Bucs, and Rams are leading their respective divisions and won’t be out of the playoff picture without a free fall of some sort.
The Falcons are not done with the 2025 season, but it will take a lot of winning and a miracle.
The Minnesota Vikings (4-6) take on the Green Bay Packers (6-3-1) at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin in Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday. There are several ways fans can watch and stream the NFC North matchup.
This is the first time the teams will meet this season. The Vikings have won both of their divisional road matchups so far, but lost to the Chicago Bears at home last weekend. As it has been for much of the season, the major storyline will be the play of J.J. McCarthy. After a gutsy defensive performance against one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. The Eagles have improved to 8-2 on the season despite their own offensive struggles.
And while they were winning an NFC best 8 games through 11 weeks, they’ve successfully collected tiebreakers against 4 of 6 current playoff teams.
The Tiebreakers
Starting 4-0 was the best result for the Eagles to start the season strong. Giving Dallas a Week 1 loss helped jumpstart the lead they have on the NFC East, which currently sits at 3.5 games with only 7 weeks left in the season. There’s an opportunity to have the division wrapped up before December even starts. But before the Eagles can worry about an early notch into their season, they have to get through another round of Dallas Week.
Following the Week 1 celebration of Super Bowl LIX and kicking off the NFL season 1-0. The Eagles pulled together wins against the Los Angeles Rams(8-2), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4). Both teams who currently lead their divisions, and sit at 2nd and 4th in the early NFC playoff seeding. Even the Packers still sit at 2nd in their division at 6-3-1. One of Philadelphia’s defensive showings, managing to hold Green Bay to 7 points.
With teams like the Seahawks(7-3), 49ers(7-4)and Panthers(6-5) breathing down their respective divisions throats, it won’t take much for the standings to completely flip. Much like they did for Detroit Sunday night.
Coming into SNF in Philadelphia, Detroit could’ve claimed 1st in their division, and 2nd in the NFC with a win over the Eagles. But after 5 attempts on 4th down that resulted in 0 conversions. The Lions fell to 6-4 after a 16-9 loss to the Eagles. Going from 3rd in the NFC, and leading the NFC North. To 3rd in the NFC North, and down to 8th in the NFC. Sitting right outside the playoff bubble.
One More To Go
The Eagles will play one more team in the NFC during Week 13 that they could claim an important playoff tiebreaker over. The 7-3, NFC North leading Chicago Bears. A win over the Bears would give the Eagles an advantage against the majority of NFC playoff teams while their schedule gets lighter down the stretch against the Commanders (3-8) and the Raiders (2-8).
But first, they’ll have to go through Dallas (again.)
During the New York Giants first defensive series, No. 3 overall pick and former Penn State star Abdul Carter was benched for what interim head coach Mike Kafka described as a “coach’s decision.”
When pressed on the matter after the game, Kafka reiterated it was a coach’s decision and he wouldn’t get into the details that led to Carter being benched. “That was a coach’s decision. It was my decision – we’ll keep the rest of that in house,” Kafka said.
Carter, meanwhile, was also mum on the benching. “I made a mistake during the week that was detrimental to the team,” Carter said. “That was the consequence of it. Got to live with it.”
While Kafka and Carter downplayed the benching after the game, a new report emerged on Monday morning suggesting Carter was benched because he “was asleep in the team facility at the time of the walk-through,” according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic.
Carter’s tardiness at team meetings was accordingly a “trend” that fired head coach Brian Daboll let slide. The rookie linebacker saw the report from Duggan and offered some clarity. “Was not sleep, actually doing recovery. Nonetheless that’s on ME!” he said on social media before offering a more cryptic message.
“When the hate don’t work they start telling lies!” he said.

Despite the punishment, Kafka remains hopeful of Carter’s ability.
“I love Abdul and what he brings to this team,” Kafka said. “The skill set he has, this guy loves ball. I’m excited to watch him attack this week of practice and continue to work and grow and be the great player that I think he is.”
The rookie has just 23 tackles and 0.5 sacks on the season.

After the Eagles barely made it out with a victory in Green Bay Monday Night. It was time to start preparing for another PrimeTime spotlight against the Eagles 3rd NFC North opponent of the year.
The Detroit Lions
Sundays match against Detroit will be the 2nd time the Sirianni/Hurts led Eagles will play the Campbell/Goff Lions. Previously, the Eagles won both matchups that took place at Ford Field. Winning 44-6 in 2021, and 38-35 in 2023.
And while this matchup won’t have nearly as much excitement as the NFC Championship Game that could have been last year. The winner and loser of this game could see a huge impact on playoff seeding within the next 5-6 Weeks.
The Cluttered NFC Race
Luckily for the Eagles. The NFC East is the only division that isn’t filled with multiple contenders, or teams just outside the wildcard bubble. Like the 49ers(6-4), Panthers(5-5) & Vikings(4-5). However, with two games left against NFC North opponents. The Eagles will be able to pull ahead in the division, and from the rest of the NFC.

Both teams will most likely be playing for a top 5-10 pick come December. The wins might not matter that late for the Eagles depending how the rest of this “gauntlet” unfolds.
