  • General Hospital Fans React to Cameron Mathison Leaving Rumors

    [ad_1]

A new rumor in the soap world is claiming that Cameron Mathison, who plays the highly polarizing figure, Drew Cain, on General Hospital, will soon depart the show. While there may be no truth to this, the prospect has generated a divisive reaction among the fanbase.

General Hospital fans are torn about Cameron Mathison and Drew’s potential departure

General Hospital fans have hotly debated the topic of Drew Cain over the past month. It is safe to say that he is currently the most hated character on the show. Many times before, fans have wanted Drew to depart.

But now, a new rumor claims that Cameron Mathison’s Drew could finally leave the show. However, this has not generated a great fanfare. While Drew remained despicable on the show, it is worth noting that Mathison did an incredible job of bringing the character to life and making each of his moves feel distasteful.

A fan began the discussion on General Hospital Fans – Official on Facebook, where they posted a screenshot that suggested Mathison was going to leave General Hospital. The fan wrote in the caption, “Don’t know how true this is… but I’m hoping it is.”

Many had varying responses to this. “Hating an actual human being over a character is insane. He obviously played the role amazing for you guys to hate him so much. No need for responses, I won’t respond, but so tired of seeing the actual hate you give Cameron. He’s an actor doing his job,” one user wrote.

Another user wrote, “Hope it is true,” while another said, “Please be true!!!!” Yet another user said, “Everyone, he is acting as Drew the character. So obviously, he is doing a good job. Give him his dues, he didn’t write the character, he is just playing the heck out of it.”

So, the fanbase remains firmly divided over this rumor.

The upcoming episodes on General Hospital will reveal if there is any truth to the rumor of Drew Cain leaving.

  • Why General Hospital Fans Think Charlotte & Danny Are Related

    [ad_1]

General Hospital fans are digging deep into the show’s lore to deduce if Charlotte and Danny are related by blood. The two have grown close to each other in the last few months. Now, some viewers believe that there is a potential romantic storyline planned for them, which might become awkward if they are. So, are they related?

Here are the details about their lineage.

While the show hasn’t directly addressed it yet, General Hospital fans have begun to question whether Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine are related to each other (via Soap Opera Digest).

Danny is the son of Jason Morgan and Sam McCall, and through his father, Danny is tied to the Quartermaine family. However, Jason was adopted by Monica Quartermaine and is biologically Susan Moore’s son. On Sam’s side, Danny’s lineage includes Alexis Davis and Julian Jerome. Because Alexis is the daughter of Mikkos Cassadine and Kristin Bergman, Danny is a descendant of the Cassadines.

Charlotte is Valentin Cassadine and Lulu Spencer’s biological child. Lulu’s parents were Luke Spencer and Laura Spencer, while Valentin descends from Victor Cassadine and Helena Cassadine.

This is where the link between Charlotte and Danny becomes more apparent because Mikkos Cassadine and Victor Cassadine were brothers. This makes both the teens descendants of the Cassadine family, making them cousins. However, because Danny is one generation further apart, their official relationship is second cousins once removed.

Second cousins once removed are generally considered distant relatives. While it’s rare for soap operas to write romantic storylines between related characters, it has been done in the past. Considering how Charlotte and Danny have taken a liking to each other, it is not unreasonable to think the show would explore their relationship further.

So, to see how it all pans out, keep tuning into General Hospital on ABC.

  • Why General Hospital Won’t Air a New Episode Tonight on December 25

    [ad_1]

General Hospital fans tuning in tonight may notice something a little different on their screens. Despite the long-running soap’s usual weekday schedule, ABC will not be airing a brand-new episode on December 25, leaving viewers wondering about the sudden pause.

As the holiday season takes over the network’s programming slate, curiosity is naturally building around why the show is taking a brief break and when fresh episodes will return.

Why won’t General Hospital air a new episode on December 25?

General Hospital won’t be airing a new episode of its long-running soap series due to Christmas break.

Fans who will tune in to watch General Hospital today may be taken aback to discover that ABC will not be broadcasting a new episode of the enduring soap opera. Instead, the network customarily halts new episodes during significant holidays, with Christmas Day being one of those occasions. This scheduling decision is part of ABC’s yearly holiday programming approach and is not related to any delays in storylines or production challenges.

On Christmas Day, television networks generally modify their daytime schedules to feature holiday-themed content, special broadcasts, or reruns. This adjustment occurs because viewership typically declines during major holidays, as many individuals are engaged in family gatherings or traveling. Consequently, networks often refrain from airing new episodes to prevent disrupting narrative continuity or diminishing audience interest.

For General Hospital, this implies that current storylines and cliffhangers are temporarily paused, allowing the series to return to its regular programming once the holiday concludes. This break guarantees that significant plot developments occur when the majority of viewers can consistently watch, rather than missing vital moments on a day characterized by lower ratings.

Currently, the show is juggling with twists and turns for all its characters, leaving their future unknown.

Subscribe to ABC and Hulu today and watch all the previous and latest episodes of General Hospital.

  • What’s the Latest on Ric & Ava’s Relationship on General Hospital?

    [ad_1]

Ric and Ava’s relationship has been a big talking point among the General Hospital fans. With Ava being one of the ladies who’s keeping Ric tied in the basement, their relationship feels more fragile than ever. Now, viewers are eager to know whether there’s a world where the two will get back together.

Here’s what could happen between the pair.

Have Ric and Ava parted ways for good on General Hospital?

Ric (Rick Hearst) and Ava (Maura West) have been together for a long time. However, the couple eventually went their separate ways a while ago. However, following his betrayal, Ava, Alexis, and Kristina trapped and tied Ric in Alexis’s basement. Given everything that he has done, fans believe that Ava knows better than to get back with her ex-husband. But is she really, though?

Ava has had a hard time finding love. Her turbulent relationships with Finn and Lucky have made her quite vulnerable. So, after they release Ric from the basement, there’s a chance that the two could rekindle their relationship. While they show no hints of having feelings for each other, this being a soap, could change that overnight.

Furthermore, during an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Hearst shared that he hopes that Ric and Ava get back together. “This is going to sound really screwball,” he said, “but I really hope this isn’t the end for the two of them. I feel like Ava and Ric were just getting started!”

He added, “I don’t know if this is going to be a situation where Ava and Ric would ever wind up getting back together, even remotely. But this is a soap, right? Anything can happen, anything is possible.”

Hearst also admitted that even if the two characters don’t end up together, he’d like Ric to stay close to Ava, as he loves working with West. “I would love to be able to be in Maura West’s [Ava] orbit,” he expressed. “I adore working with her and I love the dynamic that happens between us — not just as actors, but as the two characters.”

The three ladies recently prevented Ric from escaping from the basement, so it’s going to be a long time before viewers can see anything happen between Ric and Ava. To see how it all turns out, keep tuning into General Hospital.

  • General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison on Why Drew Is Still Alive

    [ad_1]

Cameron Mathison is giving fans the inside scoop on why his character, Congressman Drew Cain, survived a near-death experience on General Hospital. Mathison has also opened up about his alter ego’s continued role in the show, why he thought Drew might get killed off, and what lies ahead for the villainous politician.

Cameron Mathison on why Drew isn’t dead on General Hospital

Cameron Mathison recently admitted in an interview that he wasn’t always confident Drew would be alive in General Hospital. With Drew making so many enemies, Mathison expected his character could easily be written off.

While speaking with Soap Opera Digest, he said, “Absolutely! One thousand percent,” when asked if he thought Drew might be killed. “As soon as [his descent into villainy] started happening, of course, I was thinking about that. I’ve been around the block long enough to know when you can sort of smell somebody getting ready to be sacrificed for a better story.”

Still, Mathison believes Drew’s role as a compelling villain saved him. “Drew’s a good villain. He’s not out there killing people! I think there’s more story to tell, more things for him to get involved in, and, of course, I absolutely love being here.”

After all, Drew’s dramatic return from the brink of death has left viewers divided. While some fans hoped his storyline was over, Mathison revealed that he knew the suspense would get a strong reaction. “I could just hear the millions of viewers being like, ‘Noooooooo!’” he joked. “I was like, ‘Yeah, here you go, everybody — I’m not gone yet!’”

Additionally, according to Mathison, Drew will use the victim card to manipulate others and blame Michael. “He’s going to use this to target Michael regardless of whether Michael is the shooter,” the actor explained. Drew wants Willow, the woman he loves, to have access to her children, and framing Michael could help him achieve that.

That’s exactly what is happening, as in the September 8 episode, after waking up, he asked for Willow. Later, Dante said that Michael was the one with the strongest motive to shoot him. Even though his memory of the night is hazy, Drew remains determined to bring Michael down.

Drew claimed Herrin was bribed, and Sonny suspected Sidwell might have played a role in her sudden death. Diane admitted Herrin was always fair, which made the custody ruling for Michael suspicious. Still, she warned Sonny she couldn’t investigate Jenz since he was also a client of the firm.

    Brennan catches Colette

Colette, angry about her reassignment to Algeria, rifled through Jack Brennan’s empty office. • General Hospital Fans Think Drew Killed the Judge Before Being Shot

    [ad_1]

With the shooting of Drew, General Hospital has turned things on its head, and it seems that this long-awaited moment has brought in some unforeseen twists with it, including the killing of the judge. Now that Drew has also been shot, fans are wondering if he is behind the murder of the judge.

Did Drew kill the Judge before getting shot on General Hospital?

While there is nothing in General Hospital that indicates Drew killed the Judge, fans may think he could be behind it. His past behavior and history may play a role in this. He actively participated in the custody battle between Michael and Willow. Willow later came to Drew again in hopes of winning the custody back.

After the death of the Judge, many theories emerged. The most prominent one was that Sidwell had killed the judge. But now some fans are starting to wonder if Drew was behind the murder. This theory also does not seem very far-fetched and may actually convince many fans.

The conversation started on Facebook’s General Hospital Fans page, where one user posted, “Did Drew kill the judge before he was shot?” Another user replied to this, “Maybe.” But others had different theories. One user countered this, saying. “I think it was Sidwell because he heard that she was paid to make Michael custody of his children and Drew was going to see if it was Michael who paid her and he didn’t want Drew to find out it was him that did so. I think Sidwell killed the judge and then killed Drew.”

The second theory also seems to be quite in line with what could have happened. Sadly, General Hospital has yet to reveal the fate of Drew or who murdered the Judge. But it is clear that something much bigger is causing both of these events.

    Stay tuned for more updates.

  • General Hospital Spoilers: Why Did Drew Blackmail Michael?

    [ad_1]

General Hospital has delivered yet another dramatic conflict with Drew Cain‘s recent decision to blackmail Michael Corinthos. The two share a bitter history in the show that is now boiling over as Drew threatens to expose Michael. So why is Drew targeting Michael now?

    Here are all the details.

Here’s why Drew blackmailed Michael on General Hospital

Drew Cain has stumbled across the perfect opportunity to help Willow get her children back. He will do so by blackmailing Michael and forcing him to give up the custody of the kids.

Willow is devastated after losing custody of her children to Michael and wants nothing more than to bring them back. However, this loss has pushed her closer to Drew. She believes that his support might be the key to reuniting with her kids.

Michael has been looking for ways to help Willow gain back custody, and now Marco has handed it to him on a silver platter. Marco had information about the bribery that paints Sonny in a bad light. It could look like Sonny had bought off the judge to help Michael win the custody battle.

However, Marco becomes frustrated when his father, Jenz Sidwell, refuses to use this leverage. He wanted to speed up Sonny Corinthos’ downfall with the help of the information, but his father refused to cooperate. This leads Marco to confide in Drew instead, in hopes that he will finally help expose the bribery. Thus, he spills it all to Drew and asks him to put the information to good use before it’s too late.

So, Drew uses this information to blackmail Michael, threatening to ruin his reputation by exposing the scandal. With his back to the wall, Michael is left with very little option but to comply with Drew’s demands. Whether or not he will finally give up the custody remains to be seen.

    [ad_1]

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, General Hospital might drop some major hints that Jenz Sidwell might be more involved in Maxie Jones’ medical condition. Will the upcoming episode expose who’s behind Maxie’s situation?

Here’s what might happen on Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital.

Is Sidwell behind Maxie’s health condition in General Hospital?

After what seemed like a heart attack, Maxie’s health has entered a downward spiral. According to the doctors, her heart is fine. This left her friends and family curious about what else could have happened to her. And since she is in a coma, there is no way to know if someone did something to her.

But given Jenz’s reputation, things might not end as well as Lucy hopes. The situation seems suspicious, especially since Lucy stopped Brook Lynn from answering Lucas’ questions about the product. What could they be hiding?

Meanwhile, Ava Jerome hit Ric Lansing on the head, and he is lying on the floor, possibly lifeless. Kristinia Corinthos-Davis witnessed the crime and is now in shock. Ava promises Kristinia that whatever happens to her, both of them will share the consequences.

Elsewhere, Cody Bell confides in Dante, explaining everything that happened with Ava, and Dante asks how Molly fits into all of this. Meanwhile, Molly also catches up with Michael Corinthos. Jack Brennan is in a moral conflict, with Anna Devane advising him to do the right thing.

To know if Jenz Sidwell is behind Maxie Jones’ health condition, tune into the new episode of General Hospital on August 26, 2025.

  • Is Maxie being killed off in General Hospital? Star Kirsten Storms speaks out

    [ad_1]

Moments afteGeneral Hospital fans saw Maxie Jones try Deception’s new Youth Truth serum, she stumbled on set and collapsed, leaving her family and friends in shock. We still don’t know the cause of the collapse – was it a heart condition or poison? – and as her friends, including Lulu, worry over whether Maxie will slip into a coma, the actress who plays Maxie has spoken out about her future on the ABC series.

Kirsten Storms has played Maxie for 20 years now, after joining the series in 2005 (she had one hiatus between 2011 and 2012), but is now taking a temporary leave of absence to move to Nashville with her daughter. In a video posted on Instagram in early July, Kristen revealed that ABC has replaced her with another actress for the time being, confirming Maxie is not dying, and shared that she will return later in the year.

“I’m very excited to be making Tennessee my home! I can’t wait to return to GH, once Harper and I are settled in our new town,” she captioned the post. “I plan on documenting as much of this new journey on my social media as I can. It’s always been a dream of mine to move to a place like this; it’s hard to believe it’s really happening.”

In the video, Kirsten went on to share that it had been a lifelong dream to move to the south, and she was grateful to the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, for helping her to have the best of both worlds.

“In March, I asked Frank Valentini, our amazing executive producer. I had a conversation with him [about] my reasons for wanting to move and my desire to not leave the show,” she explained, adding: “Now, when you approach a job like this, they can always be like, ‘Forget it. We’ll let you out of the contract if you’re going to leave the state.’ GH did not do that. Which was kind of amazing.”

Kirsten has already filmed her final scenes and has already made the trip to Tennessee, but she added that it was “possible I will be back in December, maybe November”.

“I really want to thank GH, the ABC executives, the writers, for agreeing to let me take this time, and I know Frank and the producers there know my reasons, and I am so grateful that they understand and are supportive,” she concluded. Addressing rumors that she was leaving the soap, Kirsten insisted this “is just me, very long-winded explaining that I am taking a break and moving to Tennessee”.

Kirsten welcomed her daughter Harper in early January 2014 with her then-husband, Brandon Barash, who also appeared in General Hospital. They got married in June 2013, but on April 8 2016, it was revealed that they had filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

  • General Hospital’s Josh Kelly on if Cody Wants to Confess to Ava

    [ad_1]

Josh Kelly, who plays Cody on General Hospital, recently opened up about how his character’s instincts are pushing him to reveal Kristina’s deal to Ava. For context, Kristina planned to sabotage the suspected romance between Ava and Ric by offering Cody money to seduce Ava. She wanted Ric to see for himself what kind of person Ava is.

Her intent behind the plan was to protect Molly, whom Cody has feelings for, from Ava. Here’s what we know so far.

Josh Kelly says Cody’s ‘gut’ is telling him to confess to Ava on General Hospital

In a conversation with Soap Opera Digest, Kelly revealed that Cody confessed the scheme to Tracy. Her words of wisdom really got “under his skin.” He feels he is not living up to Tracy’s expectations. He is done hustling in the wrong way and hurting those around him. Cody hopes to become a better person.

“I think a lot of people don’t learn our lesson, so we keep getting in trouble. That’s been true for Cody, but I think Cody is kind of done. He’s starting to see that he can have a real life. He doesn’t have to settle for just trying to hustle his way through life to get by. He has been building friendships and relationships. His life could have more value than just making a little bit of money if he’s true to the people that have been good to him,” he added.

He further mentioned that Cody has improved as a person and built new relationships. So, the deal he made with Kristina doesn’t align with who he has become now. He considers the deal a “win-win” since it would get him money and rescue Ava from a one-sided relationship, but it is also distracting him from building real connections.

Adding to the discussion, he said, “Cody is realizing that being more Mac-like, and embracing some of the nature of his biological father, he would actually have a more fulfilling life, a less chaotic life.” Despite knowing Molly is not into him, Kelly explained why Cody desperately wants to expose the truth.

He noted, “Cody’s gut has been telling him, and Tracy has been telling him, that it is no longer the easy out to take the money. It’s gotten too difficult and too complicated. So, the path of least resistance is to come clean.”

  • All General Hospital Fans Aren’t Happy With Ryan Paevey’s Return

    [ad_1]

In a rather shocking twist, Ryan Paevey is on his way back to General Hospital, although it is not clear if he will take on the role of Nathan upon his return. As Nathan was killed off when he left, it could be a tough road integrating him in the tale again. And it seems that not all fans are equally hyped about Paevey’s return.

Fans say ‘Nathan is dull’ on Ryan Paevey’s return to General Hospital

The announcement of Ryan Paevey’s return is surely a huge one and has caught the attention of soap fans all around. But not all General Hospital fans are equally happy with the prospect of Nathan coming back to the show.

While Ryan Paevey is yet to confirm the role he will play on the show, it is quite evident that Nathan is the most likley role for him, even though Nathan was killed off when he left.

An Instagram post about Paevey’s return became a ground for debate amongst fans, with some overjoyed at Nathan’s return and others not so satsified.

“Nooooooo, there goes Spixie. Naxie is boring. Nathan is dull. Happy he has a job though,” one user said for instance. “No coming between Soinelli and Maxie though please and thank you,” another user said, referencing his character on the show.

But there were a lot of positive reactions to his return as well. “Nathan and Maxie were endgame! I hope he’s coming back as Nathan! He needs to not be dead!,” one user said while another said, “No way!!!! This is the best news I’ve heard in a while! Yay.” Yet another user added, “Sooo excited! But how silly is it that he and his sister both died but are not dead?! I can’t wait to see Muther’s face!”

One more thing that makes it interesting is that Paevey’s return is almost coinciding with Kirsten Storms’ possible exit as Maxie.

All the factors combined, it seems fans are quite divided over this return, even though it is still not certain if Paevey will indeed return as Nathan.

Stay tuned for more updates on General Hospital.

  • Kelly Monaco to Exit ‘General Hospital’ After 21 Years

Kelly Monaco to Exit ‘General Hospital’ After 21 Years

    [ad_1]

Kelly Monaco is set to leave “General Hospital” after more than two decades on the ABC soap opera, Variety has confirmed.

Monaco, who has played the role of Sam McCall on “General Hospital” since 2003, will make her final appearance in Port Charles this fall due to storyline.

Monaco joined the soap opera in 2003 after working on the spinoff series “Port Charles,” in which she portrayed Livvie Locke from 2000 to 2003. “General Hospital” introduced Monaco’s Sam as a con artist attempting to reverse her family’s bad luck. The character is the biological daughter of mob boss Julian Jerome (William deVry) and attorney Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), as well as the illegal adoptive daughter of Cody McCall (Stanley Kamel) and Evelyn Bass.

Monaco has filmed more than 2,200 episodes of “General Hospital,” and in 2006, she received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her performance as Sam.

In August 2020, Monaco was briefly recast with Lindsay Hartley temporarily playing the role. Hartley later reappeared as the character in February 2020, and again in several episodes this year in January and again earlier this month.

Monaco’s exit comes amid the return of several “General Hospital” veterans, including Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer, who checked back into the long-running soap opera on Friday. Rick Hearst also returned as Ric Lansing.

In July, Variety exclusively reported that Emma Samms will reprise her role as Holly Sutton in early September. Her return ties in with Jackson’s.

Soap Opera Network was first to report the news of Monaco’s exit.

  • Search warrants issued, gang targeted in killing of ‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor

Search warrants issued, gang targeted in killing of ‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor

    [ad_1]

Los Angeles police are serving search warrants, seeking to make arrests in the slaying of “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor, law enforcement sources said Thursday.

The sources, who were not authorized to speak publicly about the case, said the investigation is focusing on Florencia 13 gang members tied to catalytic converter thefts in the region.

A statement of probable cause used to obtain the warrants named Robert Barceleau, Sergio Estrada and Leonel Gutierrez as suspects. The three were targeted after police said their fingerprints matched those lifted from a floor jack they used while trying to steal Wactor’s catalytic converter.

After reviewing videos and interviewing witnesses, homicide detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department identified three men, one with distinctive facial tattoos, who they say jacked Wactor’s car on Hope Street near Pico Boulevard to steal its catalytic converter before shooting and killing him May 25.

A statement of probable cause used to obtain the warrants named Robert Barceleau, Sergio Estrada and Leonel Gutierrez as suspects. The three were targeted after police said their fingerprints matched those lifted from a floor jack they used while trying to steal Wactor’s catalytic converter.

Wactor had finished a shift at the nearby Level 8 bar about 3:20 a.m. when he and co-worker Anita Joy were walking to his car and interrupted the thieves.

Wactor first thought his car was being towed, Joy said. After realizing that wasn’t the case, he asked the men to leave, showing his open hands to indicate he wasn’t a threat. Nevertheless, he was shot at close range, Joy said. A security guard from the bar said he found Joy and the mortally wounded Wactor and called 911.

Joy asked Wactor whether he was OK, and he responded, “Nope. I’ve been shot,” according to the statement of probable cause.

After the shooting, the suspects fled north on Hope Street in a stolen getaway car described as a 2018 black four-door Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior, police said.

Thieves target catalytic converters because they contain precious metals, including rhodium, palladium and platinum. They can sell for hundreds of dollars to auto parts suppliers or scrapyards, where they can be melted down and the valuable metals extracted.

Thefts of catalytic converters skyrocketed in California during the COVID-19 pandemic. That prompted new state laws that make it illegal for recyclers to buy the parts from anyone other than the vehicle’s legal owner or a licensed dealer. Penalties were increased for buyers who fail to certify that a catalytic converter wasn’t stolen.
