    After a week of speculation about a mysterious health scare, Tamar Braxton is breaking her silence to call off her upcoming EP, Hearbreak Retrograde, and address “PR stunt” accusations from her now ex-friend, Funky Dineva. In a tearful TikTok Live, the singer addressed what she claims was a near-fatal incident that left her with missing teeth and a fractured nose.

    As BOSSIP reported, Braxton’s injury, a result of a health scare she says “almost took her out,” has become a public spectacle, and the songstress is speaking out. On Thursday, August 29th, Tamar took to TikTok Live, where she appeared to be getting glammed up while discussing her recent health ordeal.

    A visibly emotional Tamar stated, “Y’all have allowed this person to bully me and eat me up, and the truth is, I’ve been in the hospital.” She later got choked up again and admitted things had been “really hard” for her in the past week.

    The singer also addressed accusations that she was creating drama. “I love drama? Well, what’s the drama? Somebody gotta tell me,” she said, seemingly reading comments from her live. She was then overcome with emotion again, tearing up as she explained, “All I know is I went to bed and I woke up, and my life changed, and I probably shouldn’t have said nothing, but I panicked because I was scared and I was alone, and I was in pain. And that’s it, I don’t have to lie, I got money, I have success, I don’t have to lie about anything.

    The drama surrounding Tamar Braxton’s injury intensified after internet personality Funky Dineva was dragged into the mix. Funky, who was seen partying with Tamar at V12 Lounge in Atlanta the night before her incident, was shocked when she claimed she “almost died” in a subsequent Instagram Stories post. Funky then took matters into his own hands, calling her allegations a publicity stunt to push her new EP, Heartbreak Retrograde. According to The Grape Juice, he even referred to the singer as a “toothless muppet” and “snaggletooth.”

    Tamar was quick to hit back, however, claiming she was unaware of the fallout while she was recovering in the hospital. “Had I known what was going on while I was in the hospital trying to recover, I would have said something. It’s terrible that whatever I DIDN’T say turned into all this. I just want PEACE,” she wrote.

    Additionally, in response to Dineva’s claims, Tamar doubled down, saying, “I’ve done too much healing to fight with ANYONE!! I just want to get better and continue doing what I love.”

    According to TheShadeRoom, Tamar’s Miami dentist, Dr. Amira Ogunleye, offered a theory about what may have caused the health scare. Dr. Amira, who treated Braxton’s injury, stated her injuries could have been from “somnambulism” (aka sleepwalking) after a stroke or seizure was ruled out by medical professionals.

    Braxton’s injury and the subsequent back-and-forth with Funky Dineva seemed to be the last straw for the singer, who also announced that she would be shelving her album after public criticism for her TikTok live video. “Y’all won! There is no more album. And I’m going to my farm and u will never hear from me again. I’m sorry for everything,” she wrote in The Shade Room’s comment section.

    The unresolved drama with Funky Dineva and the mysterious circumstances of her injury leave many questions unanswered, leaving fans to speculate about the full story.

  • Tamar Braxton’s Dentist Says Singer Suffered ‘Multiple Dental Fractures’ From ‘Sleep Walking’ When She Was Found In A Pool Of Blood

    Tamar Braxton (and her dentist) are speaking out just days after her friend-turned-foe Funky Dineva accused her of faking her recent health scare as a publicity stunt to promote her upcoming EP, Heartbreak Retrograde.  

    On Aug. 28, the R&B diva issued a joint video post with Miami-based dentist Dr. Amira Ogunleye explaining the injuries that she sustained after she was “found in a pool of blood” earlier this month. Ogunleye said she helped Tamar conduct surgery on her teeth and nose, injuries that consisted of “multiple dental fractures, a nasal fracture, and even a tooth completely knocked out of the socket.” 

    In the video, she added that the hitmaker also “appeared to have a fractured septum” during her evaluation.

    Shared with Tamar’s full consent, Dr. Amira claimed that the 48-year-old star’s injuries were caused after a bad spell of “sleepwalking.”

    “We are now sharing this as a teaching moment to bring awareness to somnambulism (sleepwalking) and the risks it can cause,” the post noted. 

    Dr. Amira also revealed that she was able to perform “immediate” oral surgery on Tamar and that the singer was in stable condition.

    “However, she will require several appointments to get her fully to her original smile,” the dentist noted. 

    Tamar said she was afraid to share her story. 

    Tamar took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to shed more light on her scary incident, telling fans that she was afraid to tell the full story about her condition. 

    “Telling my story was my biggest fear…but there are so many more people who need help. Use me, Lord,” she penned.

    Funky Dineva is still upset with Tamar.

    This latest update about Tamar’s health care comes as media personality Funky Dineva continues to wage war against the celeb. At first, it seemed like Tamar and Dineva had buried the hatchet. Tamar shared a post expressing love for the YouTuber despite their public fallout, adding that she would have spoken up if she had known people were accusing him of harming her the night she was injured. Dineva responded positively, saying he was “done” with the drama and ready to move on. 

    “I pray you recover quickly, and I hope the new project spawns nothing but hits!!! ❤️❤️❤️,” he added in a post shared Thursday. 

    But the peace didn’t last for long. The sincere exchange was quickly muddled by several Instagram posts in which Dinvea began to chew the singer out for putting up a subliminal message that appeared to be aimed at him. 

    The message in question, shared to Tamar’s Instagram Story on Thursday, read:

    “Did all that hating and gossiping about me and still couldn’t stop sh—t. I’d be mad too.”

    Dineva proceeded to call the hitmaker a “toothless muppet” and warned her to stop sharing petty content.

    “Your ‘near death’ experience sure as hell didn’t leave you grateful to be alive enough to the point where you would stop being messy, dramatic, and desperately seeking attention,” he wrote. “Yo ass must ain’t fall hard enough!…Lady, I done told you leave me alone. I’m am trying my hardest to not take it there with you. This is your second warning. I suggest you go on about your snaggle tooth business. This ain’t what you want!”

    While it’s unclear if Tamar continued posting subliminal jabs, Dineva released a new YouTube video on Thursday, airing fresh grievances against The Braxton Family Values star. 

    “All of this was supposed to be put to bed yesterday,” Dineva began his fiery rant at the 28-second mark, revealing that Tamar’s publicist and team had reached out, asking him to stop airing out their drama. However, he claimed Tamar continued to throw shade even after issuing what he described as a “hollow” apology acknowledging his innocence.

    Then, according to Dineva, shortly after posting the apology, Tamar deleted it, unfollowed him, and blocked him.

    “These are all things that signal the soft apology, or soft explanation, was hollow from the get-go. It was never genuine. You never intended to do it. Your arms had to be twisted in order to do it,” he said flat out. 

    Dineva accused Tamar of being “thirsty for attention” and claimed that she only shared the news of her recent health scare to boost her fame.  

    “In what world do people have emergencies at home and they run to the internet to tell people!?” he added. “To stir up a frenzy and then leave people with no details…You like all this sympathy, and speculation and gossip….You like this type of sh—t, I don’t!”

    After getting a scathingly shady read from her “deeply hurt” friend amid publicity stunt rumors, Tamar Braxton is speaking out. “It’s terrible that what I DIDN’T say turned into all this,” wrote the songstress. “I did NOT fake my accident, I wish it was a lie.”

    Controversy kicked off Tuesday when Tamar teased her new “Heartbreak Retrograde” EP starring a very married Mendeecees Harris, just a week after claiming she “almost died” and was “found in a pool of blood”; but offered no full explanation.

    In the clip, the 48-year-old R&B diva is seen canoodling with Yandy Smith’s hubby. In one scene, the 46-year-old picked up Tamar, before jumping to another clip where the New York native could be seen planting a kiss on the singer’s cheek. Tamar’s mom, Ms. E, her ex-husband Vincent Herbert and radio host Lore’l, star in the short promo, giving Tamar advice as to whether she should take a bet on love with Mendeecess amid serious doubts. 

    While Tamar clearly stated that Mendeecees was only a “FRIEND” in the caption, the internet exploded with speculation, wondering if the clip was a sign of a steamy new romance between the celebs.

    Rumors Swirled About Tamar & Mendeecees before the EP announcement

    Before the promo dropped, rumors were already swirling about the duo after they were allegedly seen getting “real close” at V12 Lounge—reportedly just hours before her tragic accident. PlayhouseXAtlanta first reported the gossip alongside It’s Only Entertainment, though notably, neither outlet provided photos or footage of the alleged encounter, so the claims should be taken with a grain of salt.

    However, a video showing Funky Dineva and the singer together as they entered the Atlanta hotspot was recently shared from the night of the accident.

    In a now-deleted YouTube livestream from Dineva himself, he vaguely referred to Tamar as “the lady” and insisted he had no idea what happened to her. He claimed that after their time at V12, they met up with a group of friends to continue the night out, but he went home alone and did not accompany her afterward.

    Funky Dineva Called Out Tamar Braxton For Using Him As “Collateral Damage” In Her “PR Stunt“, Called Her EP “Raggedy”

    Despite Funky Dineva’s attempt to clear his name, speculation continued to swirl online. Many fans questioned the nature of Tamar’s alleged injury, with some even accusing Dineva of messily being involved.

    On Aug. 27—just a day after the EP promo dropped—Funky Dineva addressed the situation on social media head-on, expressing that he felt “deeply hurt” and betrayed by Tamar’s silence. He said she had not publicly cleared him of any wrongdoing and suggested he was being used as part of a possible “PR stunt.” Dineva also doubled down, claiming the singer appeared completely fine the night of the alleged incident.

    “Here it is I got ate up alive over my Birthday Weekend, and the whole while there was nothing wrong with Tamar’s a**. Now she done released this tired a** music video for this raggedy ep that don’t nobody want and because I’m in the video, people are going to think I was a part of the PR stunt! I was collateral damage in a 2-bit PR STUNT! “ he penned before calling out Tamar once more. “@tamarbraxton you ain’t even gone try to clear any of this up and tell this people I didn’t do anything to you know what happened. I was accused of NOT BEING A FRIEND TO YOU. When at the end of the day, it was YOU NOT BEING A FRIEND TO ME!!  I didn’t deserve any of this, and I’m deeply hurt!”

    He also took to YouTube on Wednesday to clear the air, expressing his frustrations during a livestream with fans, where he stated that he was tired of people accusing him of doing “something” to the music veteran. 

    “I don’t know what happened to the lady,” he insisted once again.

    He also stated that he learned about Tamar’s severe injuries through social media, just like everyone else, and that she never shared the extent of her condition with him.

    Funky Dineva said he knows Tamar often reads the comments to see what people are saying about her and her music— so he’s almost certain she’s seen the slander against him. He shared that he was upset that she never spoke up to defend him against people accusing him of hurting her.

    Allegedly, when he asked Tamar to dispel the rumors as they were beginning to “grow legs,” the star replied:

    “I’m lost. I’m confused. I didn’t say anything. I’m in the hospital.”

    Funky Dineva also noted that Tamar has yet to defend him in public and revealed that he wrote a frustrated text to Tamar saying, “Girl, f*** you!” and the songstress begged him to not to “ruin” her project and career.

    “You see what these people out here are doing to me, and you just ain’t gonna say nothing. Now you not even responding to me…Even if you didn’t want to say anything publicly, you could have said something privately,” the frustrated media personality added, before almost spilling the tea on the real reason why promo for her music project dropped early.

    “And even in this moment I still don’t have the heart to do it to you. Even in this moment I’m still protecting you. All I’m asking is that you make it right.”

    Yikes!

    Tamar has since responded to Dineva, and she’s shaking off his shade, noting that she’s” done too much healing to fight with ANYONE.”

    According to Tamar, she’s “grown too much” in her spiritual journey to go back and forth with her friend, and she was unaware of the backlash Funky Dineva recieved–despite him saying otherwise.

    “No matter what he says, I love @MsFunkyDineva anyway,” wrote Tamar. “Had I known what was going on while I was in the hospital trying to recover, I would have said something. It’s terrible that what ever I DIDN’T say turned into all this. I just want PEACE.”

    She continued,

    “Never ever going back to what I grew from…Nice try devil. I’ve done too much healing to fight with ANYONE!! I just want to get better and continue doing what I love.”

    In a follow-up InstaStory captured by TheGworlsAreFightingg before it was deleted, Tamar denied that the entire thing was a publicity stunt.

    “I did NOT fake my accident,” wrote Tamar.”I wish it was a lie. Or a ‘PR’ stunt. I’m devastated that ANYONE would suggest that. Please enjoy my EP. I worked very hard and I spent my OWN money for my Tamartian friends to enjoy.”

    She also addressed having Mendeeces play her love interest in the video, saying;

    “This isn’t about anyone’s husband. This is just MY personal story about the WORST heartbreak I’ve ever known.”
