Target is hosting one of the best promotions we’ve seen yet during Black Friday — and that’s saying something, given how good these early Black Friday deals are. Through Nov. 25, virtually all books, movies, and music in the retailer’s catalog are buy two, get one free. Just add three items to your cart, and the least expensive item is free. The only exceptions are pre-order items and new releases that came out this week.
There is a wide array of products that are eligible during this sale, including 4K movies, manga box sets, art books, and vinyl, so we’ve rounded up some recommendations from each category we think you’ll like. However, if you’re not moved by our picks, you can head over to Target’s Black Friday deals page to check out the wares yourself.

Blizzard is teasing its biggest update yet for Diablo Immortal (Free) with the Splintered Souls Update due around the middle of next month. The game has been getting many updates since launch with 20 updates hitting this year, and next month’s update will follow the Blood Knight’s arrival. In addition to continuing the story, the update will bring in a new region, new bosses, PvP modes, new familiars, and more. Blizzard says more information will be available in the coming weeks, but you can watch a teaser for the update below:
Today, Diablo Immortal has been updated with the Harvest Bounty limited-time event now live. The update also sees the return of Trial of the Hordes, All Clans on Deck, Wild Brawl, and Hungering Moon events. The last bit of information from today’s patch notes is the Black Friday and Harvest Bundles being available in-game. If you’d like to play Diablo Immortal and don’t have it yet, you can grab it free on the App Store for iOS here, Google Play for Android here, and PC here. I’m curious to see this update, and also to see if Blizzard brings it to Steam like it did with Diablo 4. What do you think of Diablo Immortal if you play it regularly on mobile or PC?

Following the recent iPhone 15 Pro and iPad port of Resident Evil Village, Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake () will launch on December 20th worldwide. Resident Evil 4 Remake debuted on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam earlier this year, and it recently had its expansion Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways arrive on the same platforms. Read my Steam Deck review of Resident Evil 4 Remake here. Resident Evil 4 Remake will launch on iPhone 15 Pro, iPad (M1 and later), and macOS (M1 and later) with cross progression as a universal purchase. It will be free to start with a single in app purchase to unlock the full base game. Capcom also confirmed today that the amazing Separate Ways will launch alongside the game on December 20th. You can watch Resident Evil 4 Remake gameplay from TGS 2023 at around 15:00 into the video below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoF3dAD0JMk
Pre-orders are now live here for Resident Evil 4 Remake on Apple platforms. The current price point for the game unlock and DLC have been revealed, but it is unclear if Capcom has a launch discount planned or not. Since these are in app purchases, Capcom might reveal a discount closer to or at launch. The full Resident Evil 4 Remake game unlock is currently priced at $59.99 with the extra DLC pack (to upgrade to Deluxe) costing $19.99. A price point for Separate Ways on Apple platforms hasn’t been announced, but it is likely $9.99 like the other platforms. The current date on the App Store page is a placeholder. Will you be trying out Resident Evil 4 Remake on Apple devices next month and what did you think of Resident Evil Village if you tried it on iPhone and iPad?

Gameloft’s Disney-themed kart racer Disney Speedstorm () hit PC and console a while ago, and recently began pre-registrations for its global launch on mobile. I played the Disney Speedstorm Early Access launch version on both Switch and Steam Deck, and liked a lot of aspects, while hoping some would improve. Read my early access review of the game here. Today, the official Twitter account for Disney Speedstorm confirmed that the mobile soft launch version will support cross-save with the PC and console version. Once you link your accounts, you will need to select which progress and content to keep before progressing. I’m glad cross-save is making it in before the global mobile launch. Watch the trailer for the game below:
If you’ve not played the game on any platform yet, it is a free to play kart racer with Disney and Pixar characters and worlds. If you’d like to try out the soft launch, here’s the Disney Speedstorm soft launch App Store link. You can pre-register for it on Google Play for Android worldwide here and pre-order it on the App Store here (same link as the soft launch). On Steam and consoles, Disney Speedstorm is available now. The mobile version is free to play with various in app purchase sets of tokens. An official release date is yet to be revealed for the mobile version, but there is a placeholder date on the App Store. Have you played Disney Speedstorm on any platform before and will you be trying it on mobile when it does release?
