    Fall 2023 Fashion Outlook

    [ad_1]

One of my favorite things to do every night before bed is fill my online cart with tons of clothes. Call me delusional or a dreamer, but I love to think about what I would buy in an ideal world. Spending all this time window shopping also helps me figure out what’s trending, and what styles might be surging into popularity soon.

I’ve always been the type of person who emphasizes the importance of a bomb outfit. Nothing impacts my confidence like what fit I’m rocking. It’s my duty to serve.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, the streets of the city are flooded with luxury-clad off-duty models showing us the ropes. Fashion Weeks are a good indicator of what everyone else will be wearing soon enough.

The stylish cohorts walking the streets of FW are already sporting future trends – like when everyone was wearing the MSCHF Big Red Boots around. Before you know it, we’ll be ditching our linen sets and fluorescent colors for whatever Bella Hadid is wearing. It’s a never ending rollercoaster, but we prevail.

Fall fashion 2023 will have elements of the familiar, plus a few dark horses. There will be pieces that look like an old friend to you, buried deep in your closet from when they were last trending, and pieces that will soon flood fashion store floors in mass quantities.

If you’re feeling a little lost shopping for those fall fits, here’s what I’ve found:

Catherine Zeta-Jones Just Nailed Italian Vacay Style in Portofino

    [ad_1]

What are you doing if you’re not vacationing in Europe right now? I, for one, am sweating out the summer in Brooklyn, living vicariously through all the photos of celebrities vacationing everywhere from Paris to Positano.

Recently, Catherine Zeta-Jones caught my eye when she stepped out for a stroll with her husband, Michael Douglas, while on holiday in Portofino, Italy. The 53-year-old Wednesday star looked stunning clad in a chic vintage Ungaro gown with a plunging neckline. If this dress looks familiar to you, then you’re not alone. It was worn almost two decades ago by Jessica Simpson when she received the Big Stylin’ award at VH1’s Big in 2005 ceremony. This goes to show that truly excellent fashion never goes out of style.

Ahead, shop maxi dresses that are perfect to take on vacation. Or, if you’re like me, to wear while taking your dog for a hot girl walk around the block. When you carry yourself with this much confidence, it doesn’t matter if you’re in Pittsburgh or Plano.

    [ad_1]

If you can believe it, we still have an entire month before summer officially begins. If you ask me, however, the season starts as soon as the sun starts shining and not a second later. I refuse to accept that we should wait until the summer solstice to begin celebrating, so I’m throwing caution to the wind and declaring today the start of my summer.

Preparing my wardrobe is half the fun of entering a new season, so you can bet I’m officially on the lookout for fresh summer buys. Today I decided to focus my efforts on two of our readers’ favorite brands: Reformation and Free People. Both retailers offer a mix of trendy, classic, and luxe pieces, so you really can’t go wrong with their entire selections. If you want some help narrowing it down, however, you’ve come to the right place. Scroll down to shop my picks.

  • My Favorite Ludicrously Capacious Bags

    My Favorite Ludicrously Capacious Bags

    [ad_1]

“Why? Because she’s brought a ludicrously capacious bag. What’s even in there, huh? Flat shoes for the subway? Her lunch pail? I mean, Greg, it’s monstrous. It’s gargantuan. You could take it camping. You could slide it across the floor after a bank job.”

Ah, Cousin Greg. Succession’s ultimate himbo who just can’t seem to dovetail into the corporate conglomerate world no matter how hard he tries. In Season 4’s debut, Cousin Greg (Nicolas Braun) brings a date to Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) birthday party…big mistake for one half of The Disgusting Brothers.

The issue Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfayden) has with Greg The Egg’s Tinder date, Bridget, isn’t that he’s jealous…it’s that she’s clearly trying too hard to fit in. Tom delivers the most iconic quip about poor Bridget’s Burberry tote that she probably wore because it was the most expensive thing in her closet. However, anyone sickeningly wealthy could tell you she obviously made the wrong choice.

The Burberry Vintage Leather Check Satchel Bag may be valued at around $2,900, but we live in a world of Birkins. While Bridget’s tote may have been the talk of the party if she hung out with me, it was an eyesore amongst the likes of the Roy family. Do you think Gerri would be caught dead with a vintage Burberry as opposed to Gucci’s understated Jackie?

@ikeacanada The OG ludicrously capacious bag. #whatseveninthere#SuccessionHBO#quietluxury#stealthwealth#ludicrouslycapacious#IKEACanada#IKEA#Trend♬ original sound – SSENSE

To the upper echelons of society, there’s no worse crime than sporting a tote bag to a high society function. What could you possibly need in your bag besides your black card and perhaps a mirror? A clutch certainly would’ve been more suitable.

But surely Shiv (Sarah Snook) doesn’t carry a bag so large that it could be used to complete a heist during her father’s birthday (if she were to show up). And would Roman (Kiernan Culkin) or Kendall (Jeremy Strong) be caught dead with such a crass woman?

But let’s be honest here, Tom Wambsgans. There is nothing more satisfying than a Mary Poppins-esque bag. What if my makeup runs midday and I need a touchup? What’s going to hold a towel, a change of clothes, and my water bottle on the beach?

    @chargers a ludicrously capacious bag
    ♬ original sound – SSENSE

Ludicrously capacious bags serve both men and women. My gargantuan bag indeed carries my lunch pail, a sweater in case the office gets cold, flat shoes for the subway, and I’d probably store egregious amounts of cash in it if I had the access.

There’s nothing more satisfying than running errands and having my hands free. If I can make multiple stops only using my gigantic tote bag, then I consider it a success.

And while a tote bag may not be the most functional “going out bag,” it certainly serves its purpose at all other hours of the day. If you’re in the market for the nightmarish, ludicrously capacious bag, here are some of my favorites:

      1. Beis The Work Tote
      2. Marc Jacobs The Tote Bag
      3. Kate Spade Kitt Large Tote
      4. Free People Sid Slouchy Vegan Tote

  • Just Because It’s Viral, Doesn’t Mean It’s Fashionable

Just Because It’s Viral, Doesn’t Mean It’s Fashionable

    [ad_1]

A month ago I watched the NBA’s most fashionable player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, walk into the Crypto.com Arena in a cartoon-esque outfit. These round, fire-engine red boots paired with jeans that were intentionally wavy. It felt like you took some sort of psychedelic looking at him.

    @blurryvisionisfantastic Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wearing MSCHF’s Big Red Boot 👢🔴🏀 #fyp#fypシ#foryoupage#nba#fashion♬ Ac r7sheed – rhy 🎸🍃 🕸️

And I laughed, because of course this was just the tip of the iceberg for the Big Red Boot fashion movement. MSCHF’s newest headline-worthy drop was New York Fashion Week’s most talked about shoe. You remember their Satan Sneaker, you’ve heard of their Birkenstocks made out of Birkins — MSCHF (who are actually not designers, but a Brooklyn-based art-collective) loves to make a statement.

At the low price of $350, MSCHF offers an escape from reality with these boots via their press release:

“Cartoonishness is an abstraction that frees us from the constraints of reality. If you kick someone in these boots, they go boing!”

Look, if this is how you want to spend your money…don’t let me tell you not to. However, I have to wonder what the line is between fashionable clothing and viral fashion statements. Sure, I want to feel as cool as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but I don’t think wearing Big Red Boots will get me compliments at a bar.

@fox5newyork Good Day New York tries out the viral sold out Astro Boy Big Red Boots. #fox5newyork#GDNY#astroboyboots#nyc#mschfboots @biancacastillopeters89 ♬ original sound – Fox 5 New York

In an article by Laura Reilly for The Cut, she dons a $1,400 Diesel belt skirt that was thrust into mainstream fascination by, of course, TikTok. The only problem, the rigid leather belt barely covers anything. She muses whether or not viral fashion is meant to be worn, or to just remain viral. The perfect example that comes to mind is Bella Hadid’s Coperni spray-on dress: the most viral fashion moment of 2022, but not meant to be worn in public.

“During New York Fashion Week last month, there was a lot of discussion about viral fashion and its place at the shows, and since a 59-second TikTok video can often lack critical context, I set out to see what would happen when I wore the skirt in the real world: Would people stare? Would they be outraged? Would they even know I’m wearing theeeee viral skirt?”

The answer seems a bit underwhelming for those who want to have that viral piece of fashion: not everyone is going to understand (or necessarily care about) what you’re wearing…even at NYFW. Sure, you’ll get attention from avid TikTokers who are keeping up with the trends, but you will get some side eyes from others who aren’t so knowledgeable.

Viral fashion has the same effect on me that most fast fashion does: I could wear it once, get a few photos in it…and then it’ll sit in my closet, never to be worn again, until I come to my senses and donate it. Much like Lizzie McGuire, I don’t like being called an outfit repeater, and viral fashion is too memorable and too niche to be a staple in my closet.

However, there are the rare pieces that catch the public eye, and stay there. So instead of obscure, camp-y fashion statements…here are some of my favorite viral fashion-inspired moments that won’t cycle out of your wardrobe in 2-5 weeks.

    Leather Birkenstocks

The Boston Birks are a classic, but constantly gripping my toes to keep them on my feet is exhausting. The leather Arizona Birks are perfect for summer weather…and won’t fly off your feet if you aren’t paying attention. Hell, they even look good for a socks-and-sandals moment.

    Free People Ziggy Shortalls

Denim is thriving in the fashion world right now. Head-to-toe denim looks are all the rage, and these shortalls are just what you need. I like to wear these to the beach as a coverup, or just on hot days during the summer.

    BAGGU Cloud Carry On Bag

Weekend travel bags make packing easy, and BAGGU is one of the trendiest bag brands right now. Beloved by thriftshop afficandos, frequent fliers, and laptop-carrying girlbosses alike! This featherweight bag can compact down into a small pouch, but also fits everything you need for a weekend getaway. It also comes in fun colors like lime green and lavender, the perfect pop of color for your carry-on.

    Dynamite Satin Cargo Pants

More pockets, less problems. These satin straight leg cargo pants mix comfort and style for your favorite warm-weather going out pants. They’re great for work and play, meaning you can wear them to the office and then right to happy hour afterwards.

Alo Yoga Faux Fur Bomber Jacket

The trendiest jacket of the spring is the bomber/varsity jacket. This one from Alo Yoga comes in neutral shades and has an oversized look that everyone is loving right now. It’s both cozy and functional.

As soon as I saw the below photo of Olivia Wilde, I knew right away which jacket she was wearing because I own it myself. Wilde wore Free People’s Dolman Quilted Knit Jacket ($198) in the Vanilla Creme colorway with her go-to gym outfit: a basic sports bra, leggings, sneakers, and a baseball hat.

I’m fully obsessed with my jacket, but if you don’t want to take my word for it, consider the 700+ reviews on Free People’s website. One reviewer said it’s the “comfiest thing I own,” while another said she gets “so many compliments on it.” Many reviewers love the jacket so much that they own it in multiple colors—if that doesn’t prove how good it is, I don’t know what would. Another review highlight claims that the jacket is “so comfortable and soft, like a worn-in T-shirt, but is also heavy enough to keep you warm.” Scroll down to see how Olivia Wilde styled her Free People jacket and shop it for yourself.

  • The Secret To St. Patrick’s Day Shopping 2023

The Secret To St. Patrick’s Day Shopping 2023

    [ad_1]

Ah, St. Patrick’s Day. A huge holiday for those who like to find excuses to ignore work and hit the pub. And there truly is no better way to celebrate the Irish than with a green beer.

Like those holidays that you aren’t obligated to spend with your family, I assume you’ve been scouring the internet for outfit inspo and planning which bar crawl to join. Because holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and the Fourth of July are for two things: friends and serving fits. There’s no harm in using St. Paddy’s as your way of showing you keep up with trends.

Shopping for your perfect green outfit shouldn’t be difficult this year, considering the most popular colors this spring are forest and kelly greens. Think Gigi Hadid pre-Jimmy Fallon taping in hooded hunter green Alexandre Vauthier Couture. Or Solange Knowles in Bottega Veneta green leather for the Matthieu Blazy show.

This means it’s fully acceptable to buy a green fit for St. Patrick’s Day without feeling guilty. Green is in, so you’re buying a trendy outfit to wear throughout the next few months. It’s a necessary pop of color in a time when neutrals have dominated the market.

According to Vogue, even green nails are trending with over 300 million views. Manicurists say green is highly requested by clients everywhere:

    Billie Eilish

    Broadimage/Shutterstock

“Green manicures are one of my most requested looks right now, and I’m using a lot of BioSculpture’s Free Lovin’, which is a deep green shade,” says manicurist Faye Dennis. “It’s super eye-catching, and my clients say how many compliments they receive.”

If you’re looking for a St. Patrick’s Day Outfit, or just looking to go green (wardrobe-wise, that is), here are my favorite green clothing items:

    Ardene Hooded Varsity Jacket

This spring, varsity jackets and bomber jackets alike will become extremely popular. Streetwear looks have remained triumphant for a few seasons, so the varsity jacket is the perfect outerwear staple for your closet. It can match almost anything in your wardrobe right now, and this dark green shade is right on trend.

    OneTeaspoon Cargo Motion Jeans

The people love pockets. Which is why cargo pants are all the rage right now. Channel your inner Y2K pop punk princess with this pair from Free People. While this may not be the signature St. Paddy’s Day green, who cares? They’re stylish, comfortable, and won’t be a one hit wonder in your closet.

Abercrombie & Fitch 2000s Utility Micro Mini Skirt

If you’re looking forward to the warmer weather, or just want to switch things up, a cargo mini skirt is the ultimate choice. Make Olivia Rodrigo proud and bring out the classic cropped baby tee and mini skirt look. While low-rise may make you uncomfortable, bodysuits or baggy t-shirts will also pair well with the skirt.

    Garage Stormi Tee

You can never go wrong with a baby tee. It’s a staple in any closet and this shade is perfect for the holiday. It also gives you that added color option for future outfits. I find it best paired with white bottoms or light-wash denim during the summer. It’s comfortable, casual, and able to be accessorized.

Cider Solid Button Up Long Sleeve Shirt

If you have a green button up, you’re set for St. Paddy’s. You can layer it with basics like a white tank and jeans styled to your liking, or you can wear it under a leather jacket with leather pants for a fully chic moment.

  • Daisy Jones & The Six Inspired Trends To Catch Early

Daisy Jones & The Six Inspired Trends To Catch Early

    [ad_1]

In all my time on BookTok, there have only been a few novels that actually earned the hype. The algorithm crams book after book down your throat but then, surprisingly, you find one that’s well worth the wait. In this instance, I’m talking about Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

I read this a few years ago and forced everyone in my immediate circle to do the same the second I turned the last page. From start to finish, it’s flawless. It’s a fictionalized epic based on the notorious drama behind Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. It’s as if you interviewed the tumultuous, mystical band and they left nothing on the table.

The book follows Daisy Jones, a mesmerizing artiste who was clearly born to be a star. It leads us through the 60’s along her inevitable rise to fame. Daisy had the looks, the voice, and the attitude — sleeping with rockstars and dabbling with drugs. At the same time, the band The Six led by the angsty Billy Dunne are taking off. When an eagle-eyed producer matches Daisy with The Six, the world is forever changed.

    Amazon Prime

Cue the drama. The merger of Daisy Jones + The Six goes on to impact the music industry as their internal drama becomes public. The tale twists and turns until one final concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field signals the end of their time together.

Now, years later, a rising journalist gets the chance to hear their sides of the story. It’s equal parts sex, drugs, and rock and roll.

The story is so addictive it can’t be missed. So if you’re not a reader, you’re in luck. The upcoming TV adaption debuts on March 3, 2023 on Amazon Prime. The 10 episode miniseries is already garnering buzz with a promising cast.

Riley Keough, daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and granddaughter of Elvis, will play the lead Daisy and Sam Claflin (Me Before You) will play Billy. Other notable names are Suki Waterhouse and Camila Morrone, who you may also know as Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend.

I can already feel a 70’s-style resurgence on the horizon. This is Gen-Z’s Almost Famous, without a doubt. The way the TikTok community will never be the same after this miniseries premiers. I don’t even know if SHEIN has enough bell bottoms in stock for the trend-hungry consumers.

Sometimes, you can sniff a trend from a mile away. Call me crazy, but I just know we are all going to obsess over the It Girls from Daisy Jones — just like we did with Euphoria. Get your record players out, here are the top trends Daisy Jones & The Six will reignite:

    A Curtain Bang Resurgence

No one did curtain bangs and blowouts quite like the women of the 70’s. Whip out those Revlon blow dry brushes (or Dyson Air Wraps for the blessed) and cut your front pieces. We are aiming for bombshell hair and wispy bangs.

Remember, blow dry the top parts and front pieces of your hair away from your face to get the utmost volume.

    The Bell Bottom

Honestly, I live for bell bottom jeans. While the baggy jean look has reigned for months, sometimes I like a little shape in my jeans. I’m not talking about anything crazy like skinny jeans, but a fitted thigh is all I need.

I guarantee you that every cast member of this show will at one point rock a pair…and I equally promise that every store will be pushing the 70’s favorite jeans by April.

    Band Tees

I can totally see a revival of retro band tees coming back into Urban Outfitters. The oversized vintage-style tee is all the rage, so slap on a picture of the Rolling Stones logo and you’re in business.

Nothing says “I’m with the band” quite like a vintage-inspired tee. This one from Urban is exactly what I’m talking about.

    Amazon Prime

    Record Players

Remember that era in 2014 when everyone went out and bought a Crosley record player with Tumblr-recommended aesthetic records like The Neighbourhood and The 1975? I just have the weirdest inkling that we are on the cusp of roaming around record stores yet again.

There’s no shame, my dining room wall is covered in vintage records I bought on a discount at my local record store. Bring on all the vinyl for me.

    Fur Vests

Anything fur-lined really. A fur vest is the ultimate accessory for your weekend outfit. Seriously, I act differently when I wear a fur vest. Add a pair of sunnies and you’re a rockstar with other places to be.

My personal rec is this Free People fur vest that’s perfect for literally any occasion.

I Think These Elevated Basics Are Peak Cool, and You Can Get Them for Under $100

    [ad_1]

Basics are essential items to any wardrobe, mostly because they’re so versatile. They can be paired with other items (including statement pieces and other basics) no matter your personal style. If you find yourself scrambling to put outfits together even though you own a wardrobe full of clothes, it may be time to invest in some reliable basics such as tank tops, shirts, and dress pants. Owning some of these staples is also essential if you are looking to build a capsule wardrobe, a tightly edited selection of clothing that will last and can be worn for any occasion.

Just because they are called basics doesn’t mean these items have to be boring. A simple tank top can be designed in a variety of cuts, styles, and colorways. I selected essential pieces that will elevate any outfit, from black body-con dresses to blazers and slip skirts. And as it just so happens, there are a lot of options to choose from under the $100 price mark. These 3 Ankle-Boot Styles Feel Trendy But Are Actually Timeless

    [ad_1]

Lean in a little closer. I have a secret to share: I’ve been rinsing and repeating the same pair of black Chloé ankle boots for seven years now, and I’m not planning on stopping anytime soon. They’re my emotional support boots. Facing a long day on set? The boots are packed. Need a little height boost but not feeling a heel? She’s strapping on the boots. Going on vacation? They’ll go with everything (save for a bikini). I’ve had them re-soled once or twice, but beyond that, they look and feel as good as new. They’ve practically paid for themselves at this point!

A good ankle boot is like the Swiss Army knife of fashion. A sleek leather pair will instantly dress up jeans, while a more rugged style will add edge to a frilly dress. They’re also a great transition piece between seasons, when their knee-high cousins are getting stowed away. But with so many styles to choose from, which ones will stand the test of time like my faithful Chloé pair?

Truth be told, I didn’t anticipate them lasting as long as they did. Certain styles may feel trendy in the moment but in reality will last you several seasons. Lucky for you, I’ve lassoed a roundup of foolproof pairs to fill that ankle-boot gap in your closet (and heart).

We all own that one piece of clothing we can’t get enough of, whether it’s a pair of jeans you can always rely on for a flattering outfit or the winter essentials you can’t live without as soon as the temperature drops. Some items just have that special quality that make them essentials and also compliment magnets from friends or strangers. And let’s be real: Getting complimented on an outfit or a piece of clothing feels amazing, especially when you’ve put effort into a specific look.

I zeroed in on three pieces of clothing I’ve been complimented on frequently, which have now become go-tos when putting outfits together. Faux leather is one of them. There’s something inherently sleek and fashionable when it comes to faux leather. We often think of pants or jackets, but there are so many options to choose from. Such versatility can also be found in knitwear (which has become a personal favorite in recent months). A good knit, whether it’s a maxi dress or a bustier top, makes any outfit stand out while keeping you cozy. You’ll also find various options when it comes to denim. It’s versatile and timeless, and I am convinced there’s a style of denim for everyone.

It’s officially December so it’s time to accept that we are in the thick of the winter season. I tried to put it off for as long as possible, but unfortunately I need a jacket from the moment I step outside.

I prefer summer clothing because I can never dress appropriately in the cold. Too many layers and I’m suffocating when indoors, too few and I’m hypothermic. Seriously, how do you win?

It’s even harder for me to debut a fashionable outfit if I’m going to cling to my jacket all night long. Even if I take it off, it’s spending the night wrapped around my waist Soccer Mom style. It’s not like it matters anyway. I’m normally layered in sweaters and long sleeves paired with knit flowy pants – shapeless.

Sure I’m more comfortable without an ounce of clothing clinging to my body, but after a while I forget how to even dress myself. And that’s why I have been paying very close attention to this 2022’s winter fashion trends. I pore over TikToks and peruse Vogue in my free time so I can catch a trend early and capitalize.

It’s not just to get ahead of the trend, but to get ahead of the heartbreak when I go to purchase and it says SOLD OUT.

There’s nothing worse than falling in love with clothing for nothing. For the 2022 fall fashion trends, we saw mini UGGs, Birks, and equestrian style. Winter is going to look a bit different.

If you want some winter fashion tips before you get all of that Christmas money, we’re in this together. Here’s what’s in my cart:

    Apres-Ski Chic

Perhaps the most prevalent trend is the Post-Ski-Heading-To-Party look. Think fair isle sweaters and sherpa pullover quarter zips. It’s all about the Aspen vibes.

We’re seeing the rise of winter accessories paired with cropped puffer jackets. The earmuff has swapped out our favorite pair of over-the-ear headphones, and people are opting for the baclava-style scarf as a style statement.

Perfect for days where you’re spending more than an hour outdoors, the Apres Ski look is equally warm and stylish. To achieve this look, here are my recs:

    All Lace Everything

    With the popularity of
Wednesday on Netflix, everyone is emulating Jenna Ortega’s style. A high-neck lace long sleeve paired with leather flare pants and you have yourself a Wednesday-approved outfit.

The best way to ensure your lace stays in style for years to come is picking the most basic style that you can dress up or down. My fave basic lace pieces are:

    Statement Peacoats

The peacoat is the ultimate jacket to wear with your nice outfits, but it even looks good with a sweat set. People are sporting all types of peacoats, but the most popular ones seems to be the plaid.

Make a statement with your peacoat. Fur trimmed, bright colored, patterned. It’s your way to say “the outfit underneath is just as great” (even if it’s not). But, seriously, let your peacoat do the talking for you this year.

    Midi Lengths

Wearing a sundress in the winter isn’t an option. Believe me, I’ve tried to make it work. If you think a maxi dress is too formal, the midi length will give you both coverage and a little bit of skin. The perfect balance.

The midi dress is great for your date night, brunch outing, or anything in between. And how lucky are you to be able to pair it with an aforementioned peacoat! Any shoe complements the midi dress – even a sneaker.

    Collared Sweater

It seems like this year’s biggest sweater trend is the take on the rugby polo. Throw a collar on any knit sweater and I guarantee you it’s both studious and trendy.

I’m always sitting in a sweater, so this has to be my easiest purchase on this list. When styling your collared sweater, think flare jeans for a bit of contrast and a nod to the ever-popular ‘70’s style.

    Cute Bombers

If you’re looking for a “going out” jacket this winter that still gives your outfit some flare: enter the bomber jacket. Try out fun statement sleeves, a bold texture like leathers, or sherpas, or even just a classic color. Remember, your jacket may be the only thing people are seeing that day, so make it count!

A bomber is the Cool Girl jacket this 2022 winter. Hang it off your shoulders for an unbothered queen appearance or shrug it around your elbows to show off your top. It’s slouchy and casual yet gives the right amount of spice to your fit.

On the one hand, it seems like we’ve all been wearing leggings for three years straight. On the other hand, Rihanna just stepped out wearing flared leggings and is serving serious outfit inspo. The singer was spotted on her way to dinner with Gigi Hadid in NYC wearing a sleek black button-down with split-hem flared leggings, Balenciaga knife boots, and killer shades. Simple, but statement-making.

Suddenly, this look is all we want to wear anywhere. And you don’t have to be a Rihanna-level style star to pull it off. We’ve found a bunch of flared leggings that can be dressed up a la Rih for a night out or dressed down if you’re living that work-from-home life. The choice is yours—just rock it with a Rihanna-level attitude and the look will be next-level
