Two men were shot when a fight broke out at the Frankford Transportation Center in Philadelphia on Monday morning, officials said.

According to officials, two men were shot after a fight broke out at about 8:51 a.m. at the Frankford Transit Center, prompting, what they called, “a large police response.”

Officials said officers arriving at the scene found two men who had been shot and both were transported to nearby hospitals.

According to SEPTA officials, the shooting happened when two men were engaged in a fight in the lobby of the Frankford Transportation Center, located along the 5200 block of Frankford Ave.

One of the men was shot in the shoulder during the fight, SEPTA officials said.

Officials have not provided further information on the suspected gunman — or gunmen — in this incident, nor have they provided further information on the condition of the victims injured in this shooting.

But, officials said, the shooting did not disrupt SEPTA’s service through that area during the morning commute.

An investigation into this incident, officials said, is still ongoing.

Two drivers have been hospitalized after they were part of a crash that involved a home in Philly’s Frankford section overnight, police said.

According to police the incident happened at about 3:45 a.m., when a pair of vehicles were involved in a crash that sent at least one of the vehicles into a home along the 1100 block of Kenwyn Street.

Officials said the drivers of both vehicles were taken to nearby hospitals following the crash, but their conditions were not immediately known.

Also, as of about 5:45 a.m., police had not detailed what caused the crash.

But, an investigation is ongoing.

A 14-year-old boy has been apprehended and 18-year-old man is already in custody after, officials said, a fight on a SEPTA bus in Philly’s Frankford section erupted into a shooting when the pair exited the bus.

In an update released Saturday, police officials said, officers were about to track down a 14-year-old boy who was sought following a shootout that occurred at about 5 p.m. on Friday, at the intersection on Frankford and Kensington avenues.

During the incident, officials said, a fight between the 14-year-old and an 18-year-old man began on the Route 3 bus.

Once the bus reached the intersection of Frankford and Kensington avenue, officials said, one of the individuals involved in the altercation exited the bus through a rear door and produced a handgun and fired at the bus.

At that same time, police said, the other individual apprehended in this incident was exiting the bus and returned fire.

No one was struck by gunfire during this incident, officials said. But, a bullet was fired into the bus and a bullet hole could be seen in a window of the vehicle shortly after the shooting.

After the shooting, police apprehended the 18-year-old man who officials believe was involved in the incident.

And, on Saturday, police said, after the shooting, police learned the identity of the 14-year-old boy that was sought in this incident and he was arrested near the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Sellers Street.

Police have not yet provided further information on the incident, but officials told NBC10 that they are waiting to learn more on charges for the individuals who are in custody.

An investigation, officials said, is ongoing.
