  • The Rockettes Wear These Under-$40 Amazon and Old Navy Leggings for Rehearsals

The Rockettes Wear These Under-$40 Amazon and Old Navy Leggings for Rehearsals

    [ad_1]

If you’re one of the 11 million people who saw this viral TikTok video of the Rockettes rehearsing, you might have had the same question that popped into my mind: Where do these ladies get their leggings? I assume their leggings must pass a rigorous test: They must be extremely stretchy to allow for high kicks, comfortable enough for long hours at practice, and supportive enough to stay in place after intense workouts. In other words, if a pair of leggings is good enough for the iconic Radio City Rockettes, they’re good enough for me.

With my curiosity piqued, I went straight to the source and asked 10 of the Rockettes about their favorite leggings to wear at rehearsals. Their answers included a variety of brands, including Lululemon, Old Navy, and ALO Yoga. Scroll down to shop their picks, and be sure to book your tickets to see the Rockettes if you’re in NYC now through January 1.

The $25 J.Crew Item I'm Buying to Get Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's Look In 2024

    [ad_1]

I can’t be the only one who’s feed on every social media platform is currently home to a seemingly endless assortment of ’90s Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy photos. Not that I’m complaining—my Instagram Saved folder is just as packed with said images. Chic, sophisticated, and always dressed to the nines in a seemingly effortless manner, Bessette-Kennedy is the modern woman’s style icon for a reason. So anytime that I find an item that’s even remotely similar to one she frequented back then, I have to buy it. End of story.

Well, that’s exactly what happened today when I was scrolling through J.Crew and stumbled across a $25 tortoiseshell acetate headband that looks shockingly similar to the style Bessette-Kennedy wore on repeat, either with her corn-blonde hair worn straight and down or tied up in her signature chignon. (I saw on TikTok that she was rumored to have bought hers at C.O. Bigelow, an iconic New York City pharmacy in the West Village.) Of course, I ordered one right away and will probably be back for its Kelly green alternative. Follow my lead after looking through some of Bessette-Kennedy’s best headband-clad street-style looks.

  • Olivia Wilde’s Jeans Are Under $200 and Surprisingly Still in Stock

Olivia Wilde’s Jeans Are Under $200 and Surprisingly Still in Stock

    [ad_1]

I hate to sound like a broken record, but skinny jeans are waning in popularity right now. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wearing them—in fact, they’re still royalty approved—but if you want to know which denim styles people are trying instead, you’ve come to the right place. Photographed at a farmers market in Los Angeles, Olivia Wilde wore full-length, wide-leg jeans, which are hugely popular right now.

Specifically, Wilde wore two pieces from La Ligne: the Toujours Sweater ($395) and the Isadora Jeans ($195). She finished off the look with Ganni’s Wool Blend Logo Beanie ($95) and Ray-Ban’s Wayfarer Reverse Sunglasses ($193). The result? A chill yet chic outfit for running errands on the weekends. • Taylor Swift’s Red Carpet Dress Just Inspired My Next Holiday-Party Purchase

Taylor Swift’s Red Carpet Dress Just Inspired My Next Holiday-Party Purchase

    [ad_1]

I’m spoiled for choice when it comes to Taylor Swift lyrics I can reference here. Should I go with “I can still make the whole place shimmer”? Or perhaps “I polish up real nice.” There’s really no wrong answer. Tonight, Swift made a surprise appearance at the London premiere of Beyoncé‘s new Renaissance film, and I can’t stop thinking about her excellent dress.

In keeping with Queen Bey’s silver theme, Swift wore a shimmering silver Balmain gown on the red carpet along with Anita Ko jewelry. Going with a thigh-high slit was definitely a sultry move, making me think she’s dressing for revenge. There I go again with the lyric references. Scroll down to see Taylor Swift’s new red carpet look and shop similar dresses for your next holiday party.

  • Sofia Richie Grainge Just Mastered the Art Of Making Jeans Look Fancy AF

Sofia Richie Grainge Just Mastered the Art Of Making Jeans Look Fancy AF

    [ad_1]

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Sofia Richie Grainge in the last year, it’s that she really can pull off any look. She went viral on TikTok for her quiet-luxury wedding looks, but at the same time, consistently shows off her ability to style neon, printed, and feather-embellished ensembles just as well as neutral, minimal ones. And her latest outfit is yet another example of her versatility and propensity to make really anything look elegant and chic.

On Tuesday, the Nudestix beauty director posted a slideshow on Instagram featuring a mirror selfie of one of her recent fall outfits. The look in question was a simple one, and yet, it proved just how advanced Richie Grainge’s style skills are. Why? Because it showed her making jeans, specifically very casual vintage straight-leg jeans, look equally as fancy as a pencil skirt, dress, or pair of slacks. I know, I know, she makes it seem so easy. But anyone who’s tried to get this outfit formula right knows that dressing up a pair of light-wash jeans is trickier than it looks.

Her trick lies in the pieces she paired with the ankle-length, mid-rise denim. Unlike a standard black blazer, Richie Grainge’s in the shot is a tuxedo-style silhouette with padded shoulders and large, satin lapels that instantly made her appear tenfold more formal. On her feet are simple black sling-backs with a not-too-high but not-too-low stiletto heel. Effortless and yet perfectly put together, the outfit is a true masterclass.

See the fancy AF way Sofia Richie Grainge styles her denim below and shop the uniform that looks amazing every single time.

The Products Our Beauty Director Is Reaching for This Holiday Season

    [ad_1]

Thinking about office parties or family gatherings, what would you suggest to look like the best version of yourself? Maybe upping the ante a little bit but not going fully overboard?

This is something that I definitely do, where I save the big, glittery, bold, lips for big parties, events, things like that. In the office and family, I kind of keep it low-key, but just a little bit better than what I would maybe normally look at the office. Especially since I feel like I’m pretty minimal.

I usually do a skin tint, maybe some mascara and a lip gloss.

I think just wearing a little bit of color on your lips. I feel like this is the best time of year to do something that—maybe a really pretty berry or a wine color. Even a red that you find that’s like flattering for your skin tone and hair.

Maybe it’s even just adding a gloss or just doing a liner if you normally just do mascara.

I think people get really intimidated with eyeliner, but I think liquid liner is actually pretty easy.

Even if it’s just doing a little flick on your sides can immediately add some definition and make your features just pop a little bit more.

  • Jennifer Lopez Wore the Go-To French-Girl Flats I Found Hiding at Anthropologie

Jennifer Lopez Wore the Go-To French-Girl Flats I Found Hiding at Anthropologie

    [ad_1]

Jennifer Lopez mixes things up quite a bit when it comes to her style, but something that stays pretty consistent is her preference for heels. More often than not, Lopez is photographed wearing towering high heels with her ensembles, but that wasn’t the case with one of her recent looks. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

Last week in Los Angeles, Lopez was out during the day wearing a full-skirted Dior dress, which was perfectly complemented by her classic black ballet flats. The flats in question are from one of the OG brands for ballet flats: Repetto. Repetto has been a favorite of French women for decades. In fact, the first pair of Cendrillon Ballerina Flats (the shoes Lopez wore) was created in 1956. If that isn’t a testament to their timelessness, I don’t know what is.

Lopez opted for a black patent-leather pair of ballerinas, which is fitting because patent-leather accessories have made a big comeback this winter, and J.Lo is clearly in the loop. I found her exact shoes at Anthropologie for $370, and once you see how chic they are, I think you’ll agree that they’re worth it. Keep scrolling to shop the pretty Jennifer Lopez–approved shoes along with a few other Repetto favorites.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Every Outfit Look Expensive

Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Every Outfit Look Expensive

    [ad_1]

In the winter, the line between frumpy and chic is paper thin. It all really comes down to what coat you’re wearing, with outerwear being arguably the most important buy of the year for people in cities that experience true winters. Typically, parkas, puffers, and other coat styles that are lined with thick down err more on the frumpy side (with a few exceptions, of course), with wool, more tailored alts landing on the other side of the fashion spectrum. And of all the wooly coats out there, the most elegant, sleek silhouette of all is the robe coat. Don’t believe me? Maybe you will when you see Jennifer Lawrence’s latest NYC-winter look

Over the holiday weekend, JLaw got bundled up to walk around the city in a black beanie, Stella McCartney oversize sunglasses, and a gorgeous black robe coat that should more than prove my point about the luxe outerwear option. With the coat, she wore a plaid scarf, black trousers, and her go-to pair of Adidas Sambas. But really, it doesn’t matter what she wore with it. After all, the best quality of robe coats is their ability to make anything underneath them look expensive. Test this theory by shopping the robe coats below.

  • Margot Robbie Just Wore This Sturdy Shoe Trend All Over NYC and the Airport

Margot Robbie Just Wore This Sturdy Shoe Trend All Over NYC and the Airport

    [ad_1]

Margot Robbie is on the move, and she packed a pair of shoes to travel to NYC this week that you may or may not agree were made for walking. While in town for the Gotham Awards, Robbie was photographed at JFK and in Soho wearing a pair of Bottega Veneta Western-inspired mules. Even though the shoes feature a towering four-inch heel, it’s a sturdy Cuban heel, which is traditional for Western footwear. And like many of Bottega Veneta’s shoes, they feature a treaded rubber sole.

While I wouldn’t typically condone wearing four-inch mules around NYC and at the airport, this would be the pair to do it in. And in general, Western shoes are a great option if you want a bit of height but still want something walkable. With that, scroll to see what Robbie wore her Bottega Veneta mules with and shop other sturdy (and chic) Western shoes for yourself.

As a native SoCal girl, you wouldn’t think I could ever complain about the weather. However, as a fashion girl, I’m dying to bust out my favorite coats, boots, and scarves this time of year, but the weather has not yet gotten the winter memo. I’ll have to wait a bit longer to dust off my cold-weather clothes, but New Yorkers like Emily Ratajkowski are clearly not in the same boat.

Photographed in NYC, EmRata bundled up in leggings and a jacket with an extra layer tied around her waist. It was her boots, however, that immediately caught my attention. While Timberland’s camel-colored boots are the brand’s signature, Ratajkowski wore bold red versions that are definitely cool. I’ve been knee-deep in Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for the past week, so you can trust me when I tell you that I know what the good sales are. • Britney Spears Uses This $15 Shampoo and Oops!… I Placed an Amazon Order Again

Britney Spears Uses This $15 Shampoo and Oops!… I Placed an Amazon Order Again

    [ad_1]

Instead of a traditional liquid or gel formula, Spears reportedly uses the plastic-free shampoo bars from Ethique. While we’re not sure exactly which one she uses, there are multiple scents and formulas to choose from—like this minty one that uses peppermint oil, Ghanaian cocoa butter, and organic creamed coconut butter to refresh, moisturize, and cleanse hair without weighing it down.

These shampoo bars are cruelty-free, plant-based, and made with sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients (oh, and there’s no palm oil either). What’s more is that each one is packaged in plastic-free, home-compostable cardboard. So yeah, they’re probably some of the most eco-friendly shampoos on the market.

The best part is that using them is easy and they last up to 80 washes. Simply wet your hair and the bar, massage the bar into your roots, and lather. That’s it. From there, just follow up with a conditioner. (I have some recommendations for you, but more on that in a minute.)

Khaite’s the Goal—H&M’s the Budget: This Chic $27 Halter Dress Is All You Need

    [ad_1]

I have an obsessive personality, which can, like most things, be a good thing or a bad thing. It’s a good thing when it comes to cleaning, editing, or washing my face at night no matter how late it is. It’s a bad thing, though, when I find something that I desperately want that I simply cannot afford. I’ll think about said item day and night, stalking sales and resale sites until my screen time is up 500%.

Here’s a perfect example: Last February, Khaite held a runway show in SoHo, where the brand debuted a high-neck halter dress in a fitted, ribbed fabric that came to the model’s lower shins. It was perfectly sculpted, and the neckline epitomized elegance and refinement. I zeroed in on the dress, feasting over its every thread and waiting patiently until it became available. When it did, I immediately started saving. But with life comes expenses, and given the dress’s lofty price tag, I still haven’t quite been able to give it a home in my closet.

Meet Lindsay Holden: The Co-Founder of Modern Haircare Brand Odele

    [ad_1]

Lindsay Holden is the co-founder of Odele, a trailblazing haircare brand that’s changing the game with inclusivity at the forefront. Derived from the Norwegian phrase meaning “to share,” Odele is designed for anyone who showers, regardless of age or gender.

In 2020, Holden, alongside her co-founders Britta and Shannon, embarked on a mission to revolutionize the haircare industry by introducing Odele as a brand that’s clean, inclusive, and offers salon-grade haircare solutions for all. While launching a brand amid a global pandemic might seem like a daunting task, Odele defied the odds and achieved profitability within its first six months of business. Today, the brand consistently contributes to charitable organizations, has garnered acclaim from publications like Cosmopolitan and Women’s Health, and proudly sits on the shelves of major retailers such as CVS, Ulta, and Target.

But before Holden began making waves in the haircare industry with Odele, she spent an impressive eight years in the retail industry, working at Target in various buyer and merchandising manager roles in the Domestics + Home department. In her time at Target, she honed a keen sense of what makes a product truly exceptional, providing invaluable insights for Odele’s development.

Prior to her tenure at Target, Holden actually kick-started her career as an account manager, first at the renowned mattress company Serta and later at the image licensing business Corbis. Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear how Holden’s strong foundation in business and relationship management led her to building an incredibly successful beauty brand. And keep scrolling to shop some of our favorites from Odele.

Glossier’s Cyber Monday Sale Is My Super Bowl—13 Products I’m Stocking Up On

    [ad_1]

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I am a Glossier girl through and through. Ever since the brand launched in 2014, I’ve been a loyal customer. I used to collect the pink bubblewrap bags, plaster my college water bottle with Glossier stickers, and religiously refill my favorite products. Now that I’m a beauty editor, I’ve mixed other brands into my routine, but I always find myself coming back to Glossier. To me, the brand is perfect for someone who loves makeup but also values products that work to enhance your natural beauty.

Every year, I look forward to Glossier going on sale for Cyber Monday. It’s the best time to shop the already affordable products at steep discounts. This year, Glossier is offering 25% off sitewide, 30% off orders over $100, and a free Glossier candle with purchases over $125 (and trust me, their candles will make your home smell absolutely amazing). Jennifer Lawrence Wore the Coat Style That Makes Even Sneakers Look Elegant

    [ad_1]

When it came to her casual holiday-week outfits last week, Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t messing around. She stepped out the day before Thanksgiving in a fall outfit that undoubtedly literally made heads turn on the streets of NYC—even if they didn’t realize it was, in fact, Jennifer Lawrence wearing this great outfit.

The main character of Lawrence’s outfit is obviously her beautiful camel blanket coat, which is a Toteme classic (for reference, the exact name is the Toteme Annecy coat). She paired the coat with a turtleneck sweater, white pants, a belt, and Adidas sneakers. I can say with complete honesty that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more elegant celebrity sneaker outfit, and it’s largely thanks to the coat. Speaking of the coat, it’s an investment at $1300, but camel coats are notorious for making outfits look expensive, so there are plenty of other styles out there that will do the trick. In the spirit of Black Friday, Mango has put over 1k items from its vast inventory on sale until November 26, with some prices slashed by as much as 50%. And since outerwear is typically one of the most expensive winter wardrobe pieces to buy, it’s helpful that some of Mango’s best coats are part of the sale. There are some gems among them that I can’t believe haven’t sold out yet.

I’ve owned several coats from Mango myself, and I’m always impressed by the quality—especially the 100% wool ones. They also have some great leather options this year, and chic celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski are fans. Some of these coats truly look as though they cost $1k as opposed to $150.
