  • H&M’s New $20 Shoes Look Just Like Anna Wintour’s and Princess Kate’s Versions

H&M’s New $20 Shoes Look Just Like Anna Wintour’s and Princess Kate’s Versions

    [ad_1]

When two royals and one editor-in-chief all agree on a single shoe trend, you know it has to be good. Princess Kate, Queen Letizia, and Anna Wintour have all been photographed wearing a very specific shoe style: white flat espadrilles. As it happens, I stumbled upon a new pair of $20 versions from H&M that look strikingly similar to all three women’s pairs.

I highly recommend trying the H&M shoes in the trio’s color of choice—white—but they also come in black, leopard print, and blue-and-white stripe. In other words, there’s a pair that will suit any summer outfit you have in your closet right now. Scroll down to see how Princess Kate, Queen Letizia, and Anna Wintour all style white flat espadrilles and shop H&M’s new version of the trend for yourself.

  • Zara’s New Collection Is Like Something Out of a Fashion Fairytale

Zara’s New Collection Is Like Something Out of a Fashion Fairytale

    [ad_1]

There’s rarely a Tuesday or Thursday that I don’t check Zara’s app and feel a twinge of excitement to scroll through that day’s new arrivals. That said, I only allow myself to bask in true Zara-induced giddiness on two occasions per year: when the fall/winter Studio collection is revealed and six months later when its spring/summer companion debuts. And as luck would have it, today is one of those days.

This morning, Zara launched its S/S 23 collection and subsequent fairytale-esque campaign, which was shot by renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel and styled by Interview magazine’s creative director, Karl Templer. The collection, according to a press release, was based on the premise that rules—at least when it comes to fashion—are meant to be broken and there is beauty in contradictions. To bring this to life, the design team took inspiration from a handful of otherwise contrasting style aesthetics from different fashion locales. “It’s a mix of Parisian sensuality, a bit of London rebellion, some Scandinavian earthiness, mixed with the simplicity of dressing for a New York summer,” the release explains.

See how Zara’s designer brought this vision to life by shopping its brand-new S/S 23 Studio collection below.

  • Hailey Bieber Wore the World’s Most Classic Pair of Jeans in a Very 2023 Way

Hailey Bieber Wore the World’s Most Classic Pair of Jeans in a Very 2023 Way

    [ad_1]

As much as I love trying out new denim brands, there’s only one that I’m truly loyal to: Levi’s. Original, I know. But there’s a reason why the more than 150-year-old denim brand is still beloved by so many. Simply put, the jeans it produces have a better fit, are made of better materials, and age better than any of the ones its competitors make—period—especially when it comes to its OG pair, the 501s. While you shouldn’t really need more proof of their superiority if you ask me, I’ll give it to you anyways.

Hailey Bieber, who’s probably tried every single pair of elite jeans on the market, always seems to come back to her 501s. This latest time, she wore a vintage pair from Orlee Weisberg’s L.A.-based vintage denim brand Denim by Orlee, which are purposely oversize and therefore sit low on Bieber’s waist. She paired the jeans with a blue-and-white striped Loewe polo worn tucked in, a Previously Known leather bomber jacket, and Bottega Veneta Westerncore mules. It’s a combination that feels extremely 2023 despite her jeans being originally designed way back in the 1800s. Further adding to its modern aesthetic, she wore arguably this year’s most popular sunglasses, Saint Laurent’s SL 557 Shade, and Miu Miu’s Wander Matelassé bag, a style the Italian brand re-creates season after season.

Keep scrolling to see how Bieber styles her 501s.

28 Expensive-Looking Jewelry Items from Anthropologie I See a Viral Future For

    [ad_1]

When it comes to jewelry, there’s a big difference between fakes and the real thing. So, when you do find pieces that look and feel like designer without the three- to four-digit price tags that almost always come with, it’s no small feat. In fact, it’s a fairly major deal, one that requires swift and immediate action before the word gets out and every chance you had of getting in on the deal slips away.

As luck would have it, I stumbled upon a jewelry treasure trove of this exact magnitude while I was checking up on Anthropologie’s website a few days ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Hidden among braided handbags and boho-chic apparel were every last one of the jewelry styles I’ve been scouring the internet for, searching for an affordably priced option that could get me the designer look without having to either majorly splurge or turn my ears and/or fingers green due to poor quality.

From Bottega Veneta-esque teardrop studs to wrist cuffs that give off serious Saint Laurent vibes, the 28 jewelry items from Anthropologie below are bound for viral fame. Secure yours before it’s too late.

Jenna Ortega’s Stylist Shares How He Landed His Big Break

    [ad_1]

Can you tell me a little bit about how you found your way into celebrity styling?

I actually was meeting a friend of mine—late friend of mine—AJ Crimson. He’s a makeup artist. He was like, “So what are you doing? What are you going to be doing next?”

I was like, “Oh, I’m gonna go to a real estate school, and I’m going to study to become a real estate agent, and I’m gonna sell properties.” He was like, “Really? That’s nice, but do you find a thrill in that?”

I’m like, “No, but I figured it’s gonna pay the bills, pay my rent.” He’s like, “Well, what are you passionate about?” Then I’m like, “Um, I don’t know.” I honestly couldn’t give him an answer.

He’s like, “Well, you seem to love fashion. You seem to always dress up and you’re always reading the fashion magazines. Every time I see you, you’re talking about clothing.”

I’m like, “Yeah, I guess I’m passionate about it. I love it.” He’s like, “Well, why don’t you become a stylist?”

He [Crimson] connected me with his friend, Lor-e Phillips, who was working for the Black Eyed Peas at the time in about 2007. I just started interning under her, and that’s kind of where it all began.

See Simone Ashley’s TikTok-Viral Dress From the Green Carpet Fashion Awards

    [ad_1]

We’re always excited when the stars come out in style, especially when it’s for a great cause like the Green Fashion Awards. Founded by Livia Firth and co-chaired by Simone Ashley, Cate Blanchett, Quannah Chasinghorse, Viola Davis, Tom Ford, Salma Hayek and Simu Liu, the debut of this soon-to-be annual event celebrates positive partnerships and changemakers in the entertainment and fashion industries.

The evening bestowed several honors to cross-industry A-listers including Tom Ford, Edward Enninful, and Alicia Silverstone, and also took time to recognize fourteen female leaders from around the globe for their inspirational activism, understanding, and interplay between environmental action, civil rights, equality, global feminism and building a better collective future.

It was fitting, then, that co-chair Simone Ashley’s minty green Blumarine Pre-Fall 2023 off-the-shoulder dress stole the show—at least on TikTok, where our video of Ashley garnered nearly 2 million views, over 200,000 likes, and over 500 comments. We’re used to seeing the Bridgerton actress in decidedly more complicated gowns so this timeless silhouette in an unexpected color, and with a very on-trend rosette embellishment at the bust, feels much more modern and appropriately on-theme.

Ahead, see several of the best-dressed guests at the Green Fashion Awards, and prepare to be inspired.

Hailey Bieber’s $74 Bikini Signals a Major 2023 Swimsuit Trend

    [ad_1]

Welp, Hailey Bieber is ready for summer. She made it known on Instagram over the weekend to her 50 million followers. Bieber is the ultimate celebrity trendsetter, so the swimsuit she posted to her account is a big indicator of swim trends to come for summer 2023. Oftentimes, swim trends are as simple as a color, and I predict that’s the case this time.

One of the biggest spring ‘23 runway trends is lime green (as seen in the collections of Proenza Schouler, Coach, Fendi, Victoria Beckham, and more). Bieber’s $74 Skims swimsuit capitalizes on that trend, and I think hers will be the first of many lime green swimsuits we’ll see on Instagram this year. While Bieber’s Skims swimsuit is on its way to selling out, I found a few other lime green swimsuits that fit the bill.

  • Kate Middleton Just Gave This Controversial Runway Trend Her Stamp of Approval

Kate Middleton Just Gave This Controversial Runway Trend Her Stamp of Approval

    [ad_1]

If, even after spotting peplum silhouettes in nearly every fall/winter 2023 collection throughout fashion month, you’re still not convinced that they’re worth giving a second chance to, the news I’m about to share with you is bound to put you over the edge. After all, I’ve yet to come across a fashion item worn by Kate Middleton that didn’t go absolutely viral, and no matter how controversial peplum is, the hatred around it doesn’t come close to balancing out the influential abilities of the Princess of Wales.

If you haven’t already guessed, Middleton was spotted earlier today wearing a peplum Erdem blazer with a matching printed midi skirt at the 2023 Commonwealth Day Service held at Westminster Abbey in London, giving the once “out” trend a supersized push toward the “in” pile. With the two-piece navy-and-blue set, she wore matching Gianvito Rossi pumps, an Emmy London clutch, and a pair of double-drop diamond-and-sapphire earrings that were once owned by Princess Diana.

Though her entire look was chic and glamorous—like most she’s worn—I can’t help but continue to go back to her peplum top and, more so, what it means for the trend’s fate that she chose it for the occasion. Below, check out Middleton’s take on the peplum look vs. the ways it was styled on the runway this season. My guess? With her royal stamp of approval, peplum’s comeback is going to be bigger and better than anyone could’ve predicted.

But back to fashion. So many excellent runway looks are simply begging to grace the red carpet, so I decided to round up some of my favorites below.

  • Florence Pugh Wore the Opposite of Travel Shoes to the Train Station in Paris

Florence Pugh Wore the Opposite of Travel Shoes to the Train Station in Paris

    [ad_1]

Florence Pugh appears to have a favorite category of shoes right now, and it’s Valentino’s towering platforms. She’s not alone in this, as the brand’s Tan-Go heels have been very popular among celebrities since their release. Pugh has worn some sort of Valentino platform shoes to nearly every red carpet event that she’s attended recently, and now she’s wearing them to a less expected place: the train station.

The shoes, which add nearly five inches of height, may look amazing and cool but they’re not exactly a practical choice for a travel day. Pugh’s outfit for a train trip out of Paris consisted of an oversized leather jacket, white tank top, baggy trousers, and yes, the massively high Valentino platforms.

There’s no denying that Pugh’s outfit is great for travel. The shoes, not so much. I personally can’t fathom wearing platform shoes for a travel day, but Pugh has shown that she’s game to wear controversial items to the airport, so why not the train station?

Scroll to shop Pugh’s “travel” shoes and a few other pairs that make a bit more sense for the train station (or airport).

  • One to Watch: Ariana Greenblatt Is Hollywood’s Otherworldly Darling

One to Watch: Ariana Greenblatt Is Hollywood’s Otherworldly Darling

    [ad_1]

What was your reaction to seeing the final film for the first time?

It was really exciting because I hadn’t seen anything from the film since two and half years ago when I initially filmed it. So it’s been quite a long time since I’ve revisited the world of 65 and my character. While watching it, I couldn’t help but remember what was going on behind the scenes. I will take myself out of what I’m supposed to be watching and be like, “I remember that day. I fell off the tree or whatever it may be.” I have my embarrassing stories attached to the scenes I’m watching. But it was really cool! It was sweet to see my 13-year-old self with my short hair. Finally seeing the dinosaurs put in and the sound effects and the lighting, it was like whoa! At the moment, I couldn’t picture what it could possibly look like because it’s this ginormous dinosaur that you can’t even fathom what it would look like in real life, so that was definitely cool—to see how they put it together and the details.

Up next, you have the highly anticipated Barbie movie. Can you tell us a little about your role in the film?

Okay, so what I’m going to tell you is what you’ve seen so far is the tiniest little bit that you could ever picture. I’m never on Twitter because it’s a dark hole that I don’t want to go down, but when I was, when the little leaks were coming out, I was just filled with malicious excitement because I was like, “They have no idea what’s going on.” They are coming up with these stories, and it’s like, “You’re cute, but you couldn’t be farther from the truth.” So that’s really exciting. You can expect a lot of fashion moments, a lot of pink, and a lot of Greta Gerwig geniusness. [I] somehow [fit] into the story some way, but I can’t tell you. But you are going to love it, and I feel like it’s going to be such a beautiful and exciting movie that you can watch a thousand times over at sleepovers or wherever, and you are never going to get tired of it. It’s just a really fun, big surprise with a lot of fun people, and I am just so grateful to be a part of it.

Did you play with Barbies when you were younger?

So that was my thing when I first got the whole memo of the project. I was like, “Okay, this is fantastic because Greta Gerwig is writing and directing, and hello, I’m one of her biggest fans.” Margot Robbie, one of her biggest fans. I was like, “Okay!” I had the Barbie Dreamhouse, but I put Monster High dolls in there and put all of these really weird not-Barbie dolls in the house. I just liked the flushing sound effect and the elevator and the fireplace. That was my jam! I liked that I had my own house that I could make little things in, but I never played with Barbies. It was definitely interesting. I was like, “Oh no, I hope not everyone on set is a huge Barbie fan because I’m not.” But it worked out in the end.

You also have the film Borderlands in the pipeline, which is an adaptation of the popular video game. You have Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black in this film. Can you tell us about your experience working on it?

What I can tell you with this one is I auditioned for Borderlands in the midst of filming 65. I remember I got home one day and was literally exhausted, and it was midnight. I’m trying to find all of this research on this character—her name is Tiny Tina. Why is her name Tiny Tina? This is wacko. I looked it up and fully indulged myself and was like, “This is kind of lit. I love it.” So then my lovely mother was like, “Okay, I’m going to go.” And I was like, “What?” And she was like, “I have to get something!” She comes back from Walmart (we love Walmart in New Orleans—that was like our second home) … and she has all these little gadgets that she created so I can look kind of like this video game character with the dirt and Band-Aids and all of the above. So it’s the middle of the night, and we’re trying to film this tape, and I was like, “This isn’t working.” But at the end of the day, it completely did because you see the insanity going on in my brain and me just falling apart, and that worked beautifully for the character because she is psychotic.

Working on the film, it was my biggest nervousness dream come true—starstruck, everything. …  From the age of 6 when people would ask, “Who is your dream person to work with?” you are going to expect [my answer to be] like Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, whatever, but my go-to answer was Kevin Hart every single time without fail. I wanted to work with Kevin Hart my entire life. So obviously when I heard he was a part of it, I was like, “I can’t. I can’t do it. I can’t meet him.” And then I go, and I’m meeting everyone, and they are all so lovely. I fell in love with everyone on set. Working with Jamie… First of all, let’s cover her beautiful soul. She is indescribable because she is just this caring, loving, sweet, professional, adoring person. She takes pictures every day. She’ll be like, “Don’t move. I’m making a black-and-white. I’ll edit it and send to you later.” She has endless amounts of stories. I mean, she is literally an icon.

And then Cate Blanchett. I really admire her. She always came to set looking fabulous, and she has the best personality. When we filmed reshoots a couple of weeks ago, we saw each other for the first time in a few years, and we bonded so much more, I think, because she finally feels more comfortable telling her dirty jokes. She told me, “I couldn’t say this stuff when you were 13.” So we definitely were able to banter back and forth a lot more. The whole cast weirdly and perfectly meshed together. And it’s such a weird group to put in one place and be like, “Okay, go crazy with these characters.” Florian Munteanu, who plays Krieg, is like my best friend even though he’s 32 and a boxer from Romania. He couldn’t be more like me!

You are only 15 and already have a very impressive acting résumé. Who are the women and/or careers you look up to in this business?

I love this question, and I spent a lot of time writing the people down because I don’t want to miss one person. … Trust me—I have many. I look up to Natalie Portman because she is fantastic. I look up to Saoirse Ronan. I would love to work with her. I think she is brilliant, and she is also in the family of Greta. Mia Goth, especially recently. She has blown everyone away and has created her own definition of camp and chaos. I’m obsessed with what she’s done. Anya Taylor-Joy—sick, cool. The Menu was dope. I would love to work with Zoe Saldaña. Although, I played a younger version of her, so it seems like I have, but I didn’t play one-on-one with her, and I think she is incredible.

I want to work with Winona Ryder because I recently watched Girl, Interrupted. I’m very late, I know, but I watched it, and it’s one of my favorite movies now. There are just so many people who I’ve looked up to for years, even behind the scenes—writers, directors, costume designers—because everyone plays such a huge role and part, and it can break or make the movie. I just have a big dream list in my brain, and whenever there is a full moon, I just say a name and say, “Alright, universe, line it up for me!”

Fashion devotees know that the Anna Wintour seal of approval isn’t easy to come by, so when the EIC of Vogue steps out in multiple iterations of a similar style, we take note. Case in point, Wintour’s go-to shoe for all of fashion month: knee-high crocodile-embossed heeled leather boots, which she wore in New York, Paris, London, and Milan.

Of course, one doesn’t amass a slew of signature footwear overnight. This is a tried and true trend for Wintour, who has sported these types of boots (routinely paired with long floral dresses and statement overcoats) for decades. While of course, she has an array of hues at her disposal, we particularly love the two pairs of rich burgundy and reptile-inspired patterns pictured below.

Right now, at the end of the winter season, is a great time to buy boots—ideally on sale—for the year ahead. Keep scrolling for some authentic, AW-approved outfit inspiration, plus our favorite knee-high leather croc-embossed boots to shop now.

Less than a month after Jennifer Lopez posted on Instagram in an electric blue lingerie set from the Italian intimates brand Intimissimi, she’s done it again—and this time, her post came with a big announcement. As of Monday, the singer and actress is the brand’s newest global ambassador, which means this probably won’t be the last time we she shares her current favorite lingerie picks. Lucky us.

The news of her partnership with Intimissimi broke alongside the brand’s spring/summer 2023 collection, modeled entirely on J.Lo herself. And while every image from the campaign is more gorgeous than the last, a handful that show Lopez in a $69 hot pink, lace bra made me especially convinced to pull out my credit card. In fact, her balconette bra had me rethinking everything I thought I knew about my lingerie preferences, which up until this point, didn’t include bras at all. But leave it to J.Lo to sway me in the way of perhaps giving the style a go.

Stylish celebrities flock to Valentino’s shows like moths to a flame. For the F/W 23 season, the guest list was particularly impressive: Florence Pugh, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham, Emma Roberts, and Shay Mitchell were among the attendees who made up the fashionable front row. Pugh wowed in a completely sheer maxi skirt, while Chopra turned heads in a hot pink look. In one of my personal favorite looks of the day, Roberts went for full-on glamour in a museum-worthy feathered gown.

As for the runway looks, a handful of trends stood out to me: neckties, checkerboard prints, rosettes, polka dot blouses, feathers, and extra-short miniskirts. I Swore Off Shopping Until I Saw Net-a-Porter’s Sale—32 Items I Ended My Ban For

    [ad_1]

I’d be lying if I said that my bank account wasn’t still suffering from the shopping rampage I went on throughout the holidays (and afterward), from sales to gifts and everything in between. Because of that, I promised myself that, unless something really good came along, I wouldn’t let myself give in and shop, at least not for clothing. (My overflowing and very tiny apartment is proof enough that I don’t need anything new.) When I made that promise, though, I didn’t know that Net-a-Porter was preparing to launch one of its beloved Spend to Save sales. When I did find out, I knew immediately that any chance of me successfully hiding from sale season was plummeting—and fast.

If you’ve never shopped one of Net-a-Porter’s Spend to Save sales, you’re in for a treat. As the name suggests, the more you spend, the more you save, but that’s not even the best part. What makes these sales extra special is that the items included in them usually aren’t from old seasons. Instead, they’re full-price, brand-new items, meaning that you don’t have to wait until things start to feel stale to get them at a discounted price. To kick-start your savings—which include 20% off when you spend $500 and 25% off when you spend $750—simply use the code SPENDTOSAVE at checkout.

To help you get started, I rounded up 32 can’t-miss pieces from the sale. Scroll down to shop them all.
