    Even if you don’t work in fashion or its surrounding entities, I can almost guarantee you’ve seen a picture of a flannel-clad Kate Moss walking in Bottega Veneta’s S/S 23 show at some point in the last seven or so months. Casual and cool but wildly elevated, Moss’s look did more for flannel than Mr. Brawny ever could (thanks in part to other looks from the collection that featured the same woodsy staple). And now that spring has finally arrived, we’re starting to see the online popularity of flannel play out in real life.

    Case in point: Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence was spotted walking in New York City with Cooke Maroney, her husband of nearly four years. On that walk, Lawrence was wearing a simple jeans-and-tee look elevated with Alaïa sunglasses, sold-out Adidas Sambas, and a gray-and-black flannel similar to styles that rocked the runways back in September with their simple yet alluring qualities. Though I’ve yet to determine the designer responsible for Lawrence’s perfectly cropped flannel, her affinity for luxurious labels like The Row and Alaïa leads me to believe it likely won’t come cheap. But then I remembered how large the flannel offering was, and always has been, at H&M, and I couldn’t resist looking for an affordable alternative.     I’m constantly impressed by Katie Holmes’ choice of accessories. From a quiet luxury It bag to a luxurious scarf to an affordable gold necklace, she’s a pro at finding timeless pieces that go with everything. In fact, she’s someone who often wears the same pieces on repeat while going about her life in New York City. Her style usually veers pretty classic, so I have to admit that I was a bit surprised—in a good way—when I saw the shoes she wore for an appearance on The Today Show this morning to promote her film Rare Objects.

    The shoes that Holmes wore with a pair of baggy trousers and an oversized gray sweater were Prada’s crystal-covered kitten-heel sandals in a pretty shade of pale yellow (Prada calls is Pineapple). The sparkly shoes may not be akin to what she’s usually photographed wearing, but as someone who is obsessed with Prada’s crystal-embellished line of accessories, I hope they become one of those fashion items that gets repeat wears by Holmes. They’re kind of breathtaking.

    Over the years, much of the Old Hollywood glamour once synonymous with Los Angeles has melted away. But, with the help of the just-opened Gucci Salon, the city is about to get a generous serving of the glamourous aesthetic. On Tuesday, the Florence-based luxury house opened its inaugural salon on Melrose Place in Beverly Hills. The salon is expected to be a destination where invited Gucci clientele can indulge in creativity and their most lavish sartorial tastes. A place where the brand says “intimacy and discretion” will be of the utmost importance, just as it once was among the Hollywood elite. 

    According to a press release, each Gucci Salon that follows the L.A. location will be completely unrecognizable from the last, with individual salon locations designed to match the surrounding locale. “[This] salon echoes Hollywood’s heritage and resonance across the world, alongside echoes of the décor and philosophies of the first L.A. Gucci boutique, [which] opened in 1968 on Rodeo Drive,” the release states. Designed by longtime Gucci collaborator Gideon Ponte, the space combines the privacy of home with the same attention to detail you’d expect to see on a perfectly manicured movie set, one that can be amended at a moment’s notice for future events and brand moments.

The caption that accompanied the single photo was taken from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover” and reads: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.” At the same time, Bongiovi posted two photos from the same occasion on his own page with the caption “Forever,” with a white heart.

The Princess of Wales spent her Sunday attending Easter service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where she re-wore (a sartorial tradition of Middleton’s) a royal blue coatdress custom-made by Catherine Walker.
