beguiled unaided fermented
Have you taken the VHS pill yet? A few years ago I started collecting VHS tapes as kind of a joke. But then I realized you can snag CRT TV’s for next to nothing, if not free on marketplace. Next thing I know I am watching Raiders of the lost ark on a luxury 90s media setup with over 700 more classic titles. My wife and I do weekly movie nights now and the kids are watching magic school bus. N64, pS1, movies, all look better on the native hardware. Take the VHS pill and join us in the last good era the world knew.

Sandbags
A few months ago, I made these sandbags from Keramiplast (modelling putty).

Finally decided to make something with them. First I glueg them on some mdf bases.

4 layers should be high enough.

Then I used Vallejo Dark Earth texture paste for the ground.

When the glue and texture paste were dry, I primed them with black and white spraypaint.

After that, I painted them with a bunch of different washes and contrast paints.

The paints I used for the wash stage.

When the wash was dry the next day, I drybrushed them with a mix of various off-whites and grey.

Finally, I glued a bunch of grass tufts and rocks to the bases.

And here are the finished terrain pieces! These will come in handy for warhammer 40k, but they’re also very useful for historical wargames.

How do you guys like them?

UPDATE
A few days ago I posted this photo. Some brave souls ascended a peak above town in the middle of the night and cut in a thousand foot dong visible for miles.

Welp, the decided risk a heli drop ski patrol to wipe it out. But after several hours at max altitude they only managed to give it hairy balls and a dick vein before admitting defeat.
