“How do you feel about capris coming back?” I DM’d my best friend, forwarding her the above Hailey Bieber look. “Do NOT try those,” she warned me. And that just made me all the more tempted to re-create the outfit. *Smirks* If you consider yourself an avid shopper and you’re also on TikTok, then you probably already know that both capri pants and polka dots are major summer fashion trends for 2025. So when Bieber pulled off both in one fell swoop, rocking her Paloma Wool Aneu Leggings — which are sadly sold out, though they look similar to the Reclaimed Vintage Polka Dot Print Capri Pants ($40) and Afrm Gianna Capri Pant ($58) — I wondered if I, too, could handle the chaos — you know, without being a supermodel and everything.

Accessorizing with similar ’90s minimalist accessories, from flip-flop heels to Matrix-worthy sunglasses, did help. I also opted for shorter denim capris, selecting the ASOS Design Denim Capri in Mini Polka Dot ($43), to provide a bit more structure and help me balance proportions, since Bieber stands taller than me by seven inches. And honestly? Once I was wearing the capris, I really warmed up to the pant length — so much so that the silhouette felt less polarizing than the bold print.

While I do understand the adverse reaction many folks have to capris (i.e. “How could those be flattering?”), I think it comes down to choosing the inseam that’s right for your body type, and that may take some trial and error. Plus, capris have some perks! They allow for a bold shoe moment, play into nostalgia (more on that below), and are a great transitional season pant to try when the temperature’s unpredictable.

Are Capri Pants Back in Style For 2025?

Capri pants became a pop culture staple synonymous with style icons like Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, and Marilyn Monroe in the 1950s and 1960s, but they also saw a resurgence in the early 2000s, when girls sported low-slung, cargo iterations with platform flip-flops and polos (think: “The O.C.”). Their modern-day revival can be traced back to spring/summer 2025 runways — from Louis Vuitton to Sandy Liang — and the subsequent celebrity stamp of approval. (Hailey Bieber! Keke Palmer! Kendall Jenner! Dua Lipa!)

Lucky for you, I sorted through the hottest capris of the moment and rounded up the best iterations for you to shop if you want to dip your toe. I promise, they’re not as intimidating as they seem.

  • Suddenly, Water Shoes Are Summer’s Most Controversial Fashion Trend

    [ad_1]

While each product featured is independently selected by our editors, we may include paid promotion. If you buy something through our links, we may earn commission. Read more about our Product Review Guidelines here.

Fashion has long departed from trends that would be considered safe. As much as the classic polka dot is enjoying a resurgence right now, some of the weirdest trends have succeeded at not only dominating our FYPs, but also our bank accounts. Sardines, dolphins, diaper shorts, TikTok’s obsession with Loft — you name it — it’s most likely been a fad at some point. You’d think we’ve seen it all, but of course, we found another item that’s unexpectedly climbing the sartorial hierarchy: water shoes.

Yes, that’s right, the shoe style that was originally constructed for water activities like surfing or swimming is now a fashion statement. But how did we graduate to immersing them into our street style wardrobe? The answer remains to be seen, but Irina Shayk’s embrace of the shoe is a great point of reference. For a casual day of escapades in New York, the model wore a black T-shirt and black midi skirt with an oversize gray blazer and the Constance crossbody bag from Hermès — all pieces that would normally comprise a stylish outfit. Yet she added unusual flair with a pair of Wilcor neoprene slip-ons with pink piping, suggesting that water shoes weren’t just made for the waterpark. I mean, if she wore them out and about in one of the world’s most respected fashion capitals, then they’re acceptable (kind of).

Whether you’re influenced by Shayk’s trés chic look or just need a new pair for your next trek to the beach, keep scrolling to shop the best water shoes.

With a new season comes a new trending aesthetic, and it’s official: Guava Girl is the official aesthetic of Summer 2025!

What is the Guava Girl aesthetic, you may be wondering?

Think tropical. This aesthetic, which involves makeup, skincare, nails, and clothing, is all about bright, vibrant colors like pink and green (the guava fruit is green on the outside and a coral-pink hue on the inside), fresh and juicy makeup, beachy clothing, and all around good vibes. It couldn’t be more fitting for the summertime!

From guava-infused beauty products to guava-inspired clothing pieces, in this post you’ll find everything you need to embrace the Guava Girl aesthetic without breaking the bank.

So, are you ready to have a Guava Girl summer? If so, read on for your guide to getting the summer’s freshest aesthetic!

    Guava Girl Skincare & Beauty

Infuse your skincare, makeup, and fragrance with juicy guava and other tropical fruits for the ultimate summertime glow-up.

    Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm

We all know and love Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm (it’s a staple), and now the brand has released a new “Pink Guava” shade option just in time for Guava Girl Summer!

This vegan lip treatment, which uses shea butter and murumuru seed butter to hydrate and soften lips, can be popped on for a sheer bright pink color with a hint of sweet guava flavor.

It’s going to give you juicy-looking (and tasting) lips in a flash.

    REFY Cream Blush

    REFY guava blushREFY guava blush

When it comes to Guava Girl makeup, you want to go for a summery look that involves flushed-looking cheeks, juicy lips, and playful pops of color (while still keeping things natural).

REFY’s cream blush is a viral sensation that is beloved for its creamy yet lightweight formula and buildable pigment. The shade “Guava,” a vibrant fuschia pink with warm tones, is going to give your cheeks a naturally flushed look which can be pumped up for even more color if desired.

I especially love using cream blushes during the summertime because they look and feel more natural on the skin, they are effortless to apply (you can use your fingers rather than a makeup brush), and they have a dewy finish that gives your skin a healthy look.

Fenty Skin by Rihanna Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream

Enter the Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream from Fenty Skin by Rihanna, which is loaded with rich butters and tropical oils to deeply moisturize dry skin.

Try the “Guava Get Away” version of the cream, which blends pink guava, coconut water, and gardenia for a tropical scent paired with a thick, rich texture that is ultra-moisturizing and leaves a healthy-looking sheen. Your skin will be glowy and summer-ready!

kulfi lassi lips guavakulfi lassi lips guava

You’ve probably seen Kulfi’s Lassi Lips staining lip oil on your TikTok FYP, since it has gone totally viral for its unique formula. Lip stains tend to have watery formulations, but this lip oil is uniquely glossy and hydrating, designed for maximum comfort. Once it dries down, it leaves behind a stain of color on your lips for a long-wearing look.

The shade “Guava” is a peony pink hue that couldn’t be more perfect for the summer, that’s going to add a bright pop of color to your lips and complement your tan while lasting all night long.

Guavas aren’t just for eating—Glow Recipe is harnessing the power of guava, along with five forms of Vitamin C and tranexamic acid, to combat dark spots with the brand’s treatment serum.

This brightening serum will help you achieve glowing, even-toned skin and fade dark spots, including post-acne marks.

Plus, you have to admit that this bottle is just begging for a skincare “shelf-ie”!

Ellis Brooklyn Guava Granita Eau de Parfum

Put yourself in the Guava Girl mindset is with fragrance. You’ll feel like you’re on a tropical vacation with Ellis Brooklyn’s GUAVA GRANITA Eau de Parfum, which features notes of guava juice, banana, cavaillon mellon, and vanilla.

This fruity-floral perfume is lush, escapist, and inspired by a Palm Springs vacation, making it a great summertime scent.

OUAI St. Barts Hair and Body Mist

ouai st barts mistouai st barts mist

Another amazing fragrance for the summertime is OUAI’s St. Barts Hair and Body Mist. While it doesn’t include guava in its fragrance notes, it truly smells like a vacation in a bottle, and features an exotic blend of dragon fruit, orange blossom, tuberose, and musk.

You can spritz this mist on from head to toe, since it can be used in your hair and on your body. This fragrance is so popular that in addition to the fragrance mist, you can also enjoy the scent in the brand’s body wash, body cream, sugar scrub, and more.

COOLA Guava Mango Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion

These “Guava to Go!” nail strips feature a coral pink to soft orange ombré effect with a glossy, high-shine finish, and last for up to 14 days.

Multiple sizes are included in this pack, so that you can find the nail strip that best fits the size of your own nails for a customized look that is oh-so-summery.

    Guava Girl Clothing & Accessories

Though the Guava Girl aesthetic first started as a beauty trend, it has extended to beachy clothing and accessories that are ideal for the summer season. Get the Guava Girl look head-to-toe with these budget-friendly fashion picks under $100.

Hibiscus Flower Graphic Print T-Shirt & Crochet Skirt

When I think of the Guava Girl aesthetic, I think of beachy outfits just like this one!

This cropped t-shirt with a hibiscus flower graphic print and white crochet cover-up skirt were practically made for a summer vacation.

Hibiscus flowers are tropical plants, and their vibrant appearance brings exotic locales like Hawaii to mind, while crochet is a summertime staple that always looks amazing in cover-ups.

You can also style these pieces separately: wear the cropped t-shirt with denim shorts, or wear the skirt with a one-piece swimsuit to the beach or pool.

    Beaded Floral Print Mini Dress

From its pink and orange ombré color scheme to its beaded floral print design, this mini dress is a Guava Girl’s dream.

It has a summer-ready low back and halter neckline, plus shiny satin fabric and beaded details that take it up a notch. The tropical yet feminine feel of this dress makes it perfect for a summer night out—just add some sandals and cute jewelry for the full look.

Floral Print Crop Top & Maxi Skirt

In case you haven’t noticed, tropical floral prints are a major trend this summer, and these prints are a signature of the Guava Girl aesthetic.

This strapless crop top with a tropical floral print and its matching printed maxi skirt are sure to make a statement, especially when paired with beachy accessories like a woven straw bag and strappy sandals.

Wear them together as an eye-catching coordinated set, or separately with other items in your wardrobe for new looks.

    Tropical Fruits Graphic Print T-Shirt

edikted tropical fruit tshirtedikted tropical fruit tshirt

While this adorable graphic print t-shirt doesn’t have a guava on it, it has plenty of other tropical fruits in the same category that make it a fit for this aesthetic.

With a pineapple, papaya, pomegranate, bananas, and more, this colorful t-shirt is ultra-summery and is the definition of easy-breezy.

Keep it casual with some jean shorts or linen pants, or dress it up a bit with a bright mini skirt and chunky jewelry.

Striped Knit Tube Top & Micro Shorts

uo stripe crochet shorts setuo stripe crochet shorts set

Fruits and floral prints aren’t the only way to get the Guava Girl aesthetic; stripes can work too, if they are colorful and crochet-inspired, that is!

This striped knit tube top and matching micro shorts feature a bunch of bright hues including pink and green for a summer-ready color palette and a crochet-like knit fabric.

The coolest part about this set? It is made using deadstock remnant fabrics to create a sustainable style that you can feel good about wearing.

If you’re headed to a beach vacation, this set would be perfect for bringing along with you: wear it as a swimsuit cover-up, and mix and match it with other items in your vacation wardrobe for multiple looks. The tube top would look incredible with a maxi skirt, while the shorts would look adorable with an oversized graphic-print t-shirt.

    Mesh Floral Print Midi Dress

How gorgeous is this green mesh midi dress with a tropical floral print and off-the-shoulder design? It was practically made for summer nights out on the town (preferably those that involve dancing, thanks to its floaty asymmetrical hemline that is perfect for twirling in).

This dress has tons of unique, eye-catching design details, including twisted straps and side ruching for a flattering fit. Its green and pink color palette is definitely giving Guava Girl!

    Convertible Skirt/Dress

I am a huge fan of clothing that serves multiple uses, and this coral-colored convertible skirt can also be worn as a dress, making it such a versatile piece!

You’re basically getting two clothing pieces in one effortless piece (which also makes it ideal for vacation when you have limited space in your suitcase).

It is soft and stretchy, and features a wide waistband and tie details that unfold to form the bodice of a swingy midi dress.

Though it comes in a few other colors, this pink coral hue really reminds me of the inside of a guava.

    Cut-Out Open-Back Crop Top

This ribbed cut-out crop top is just the right shade of guava green, and its flirty cut-outs and open back are perfect for showing off your summer tan.

The top also features wood-like beads for a beachy vibe, along with a textured ribbed material for added visual interest.

Whether you wear it with denim shorts, a floral print skirt, or linen pants, you can’t go wrong with this summery top.

Fruit Print Bikini Top & Cheeky Bottom

vs pink fruit bikinivs pink fruit bikini

A Guava Girl is a girl who loves the beach (the pool and lake count, too)—if there’s water, sun, and sand, she’s there!

That’s why you obviously need a cute swimsuit if you want to embrace the Guava Girl aesthetic. This fun fruit-print bikini has a cheeky side-tie bottom and a triangle top, both which feature adjustable ties for a comfortable, customizable fit.

The bikini’s juicy, fruity print may not include actual guava fruit, but it does feature other summertime favorites like watermelons, grapefruit, and cherries, making it a part of the overall aesthetic.

BTW, if you love the print but prefer a one-piece swimsuit, there is a halter one-piece version here. Either way, you’re sure to make a splash in this playful swim pick!

    Grandpacore aesthetic fashion

This post will show you how to achieve the grandpacore aesthetic.

Ready to raid your grandpa’s wardrobe? Welcome to grandpacore, a fashion aesthetic that takes a cue from who else? Grandpas.

It was about time that the grandfathers got their shining moment after the coastal grandmother aesthetic had taken center stage last year. Now, we are looking to grandpas for their comfortable and nostalgic clothing style, putting a stylish spin on classic pieces.

With fall around the corner, this is the perfect fashion aesthetic to embrace now, since it’s all about layering cozy styles featuring loose, relaxed fits, earthy hues, and soft fabrics.

If you’re ready to explore this viral fashion aesthetic that encourages you to embrace nostalgia, read on for our grandpacore aesthetic fashion guide.

Key Elements of the Grandpacore Aesthetic

What is grandpacore? These are the aesthetic’s key elements.

    • Keep it comfy and cozy. This aesthetic is not about tight-fitting or revealing clothing; instead, it features oversized fits, chunky knits, sensible shoes, and pieces that will make you feel comfortable and cozy. Functional and relaxed details are at the core of this “core” aesthetic.
    • Embrace the eclectic. No need to perfectly match your outfit and accessories as you might normally would! To achieve this aesthetic, make it a point to be a bit mismatched, pairing clothing and accessories that might contrast in colors, prints, and textures to create an eclectic vibe.
    • Nostalgia is the goal. Opt for nostalgic and vintage or vintage-inspired pieces that will make it look like you raided your grandma or grandpa’s closet (and if you’re actually able to do so, even better!).
    • Earthy, muted color palettes are a great place to start. This doesn’t mean you can’t play around with some bright colors (in fact, these can help add to the eclectic look), but earth tones make for an ideal starting point. Plus, if you think about how the majority of grandparents dress, they tend to gravitate towards muted, neutral hues, which will make your outfits feel more authentic.

    Styling Tips for Grandpacore Outfits

    • Layer, layer, layer! There’s no such thing as too much layering with this fashion aesthetic. A chunky cardigan layered over a vest, layered over a t-shirt? Yup. And don’t forget to layer jewelry and accessories over top of all that, too! This is all about creating kitschy, creative looks.
    • Balancing style with comfort. It’s true that this aesthetic favors comfort above all, but don’t forget to add stylish accents for a fashion-forward look.
    • Mix and match vintage and modern pieces. If you’re a vintage shopper, you will have a field day with this aesthetic! But even if you’re not, you can still opt for vintage-inspired items (especially accessories) to help you achieve the same look by then contrasting them with modern pieces.

    Grandpacore Outfits and Fashion Picks

    Comfortable & Relaxed Silhouettes

One of the reasons I’m into the grandpacore aesthetic is the comfort factor. This aesthetic encourages wearers to opt for their comfiest, coziest pieces rather than tight or uncomfortable clothing.

But rather than throw on some sweatpants and a hoodie, opt for more refined (yet still relaxed) items, like an oversized cable-knit navy sweater and some brown menswear-inspired pull-on pants with a loose fit. These have a drawstring waistband and a subtle plaid print that gives them a classic vibe.

Wear an oversized canvas jacket over top — not only are these jackets on-trend this season, but they work well within the grandpacore aesthetic. This one features a contrasting corduroy collar for a cozy texture that you can accentuate with a matching brown corduroy baseball hat. There’s just something about corduroy that brings to mind grandparents, so it’s the perfect material to incorporate into your outfits.

Bring the ensemble together with vintage-inspired accessories like some wired faux glasses, a watch with a brown leather band and a playful cat design on the dial, and some rugged lace-up shoes. These platform shoes have a worn, distressed appearance which makes them look vintage, as if you scooped them up from your grandpa’s closet or the thrift store.

    Twill Trousers

If you want to nail the grandpacore aesthetic, put aside your tight-fitting jeans and faux leather pants in favor of some loose-fitting twill trousers.

Inspired by menswear, these androgynous pants come in three earthy colors that are all perfect for achieving the aesthetic. Wear them with anything from oversized sweaters, cardigans, blazers, polo shirts, and more.

    Cozy Fabrics & Textures

Who doesn’t love a fashion trend that focuses on comfort and coziness?! Pile on your coziest pieces and opt for materials that are soft, thick, and warm, like knitwear and corduroy.

This striped cable-knit sweater with an oversized fit, wool-blend fabric, and an earthy color palette looks like it could have been plucked from your grandpa’s closet. Wear it with some brown corduroy wide-leg pants and some classic brown leather loafers. Add to the coziness with some ribbed knit crew socks, and accessorize with a vintage-looking heart locket necklace.

    Oversized Polo Sweater

Cozy, oversized knits are a key item needed to achieve the grandpacore aesthetic, especially ones with earthy hues like dark green. This oversized polo sweater features a classic collar detail with buttons and cuffed sleeves that make it look like it came from your grandpa’s wardrobe, with a nostalgic meets classic look.

Its soft, cotton-blend knit fabric adds to its appeal, making it a piece you’ll be happy to throw on when there’s a fall chill in the air.

    Layering Like a Pro

Layering is a must for achieving the grandpacore aesthetic. When doing so, don’t be too calculated about it; think about a grandpa or a grandma just throwing on layers a bit haphazardly, without too much thought behind the process. Embrace eccentricity and a slightly chaotic approach; for example, wear a cable-knit sweater vest over a vintage-inspired white t-shirt with an oversized blazer on top.

This double-breasted blazer features woven fabric and an oversized fit. Add to the menswear-inspired theme with some houndstooth wide-leg trouser pants, plus a classic brown leather belt.

Dad (or granddad) sneakers are another footwear must-have for the grandpacore aesthetic, and you can’t go wrong with some chunky New Balance sneakers. Throw in a kitschy touch with these adorable Polo bear crew socks that will peek out from under your trousers when you’re seated.

Grandpacore favors mixing and matching, so layering a plaid scarf (that has a contrasting print to the pants) will give the outfit the aesthetic’s signature eccentricity.

    Cable-knit Sweater Vest

One of the best layering pieces for the grandpacore aesthetic is, without a doubt, a cable-knit sweater vest. These not only are a favorite of grandpas, but they are excellent for layering both over and under other clothing pieces to help you achieve an eclectic look.

Try wearing a sweater vest over a t-shirt or button-down shirt, and then throw a blazer or oversized coat on top.

    Earthy & Muted Color Palettes

Earthy and muted color palettes are the way to go with this fashion aesthetic. Think browns, dark greens, grays, beiges, and black, all of which have a mature feel.

I love the way this dark brown trench coat looks when paired with some brown trouser pants and an earthy green short-sleeve cardigan. The trousers feature a menswear-inspired design with a relaxed fit, while the cardigan has a kitschy, homemade look with its chunky, crochet-like knit and Peter Pan collar.

Some brown lace-up loafers with a chunky sole and distressing bring the ensemble together, along with some 70s-inspired tinted aviator sunglasses and a vintage-looking watch.

    Oversized Corduroy Blazer

It’s a rich chocolate brown hue, it’s oversized, it’s androgynous, and it’s corduroy. What could be more perfect for achieving the grandpacore aesthetic than this oversized brown corduroy blazer?

But rather than style it with a mini skirt and knee-high boots (though this looks super cute, as well), go the grandpacore route and pair it with some loose-fitting pants or trousers and some chunky loafers. Baggy, dark-wash denim would work, as well.

    Vintage & Nostalgic Accessories

    Slouchy Lieutenant Hat

Call it a Lieutenant hat, call it a newsboy hat — whatever you call it, this hat gives off major grandpa vibes, making it a must-have for this aesthetic. Plus, it’s a fun look to try out when you get tired of your baseball and beanie hats this fall and winter.

    Plaid Tassel Scarf

A timeless piece, everyone could use a plaid scarf in their accessories collection. Its classic look and layerability make it a prime accessory for grandpacore, but you’ll be able to wear this for years to come regardless of this aesthetic, making it a great investment.

    Floral Locket Necklace

When it comes to jewelry, go for vintage and/or vintage-inspired items, like a locket necklace. This one features an old-world floral design and opens to reveal a space for a treasured photo or keepsake, making it feel like a sentimental keepsake that’s been passed down to you.

Here’s Everything You Need to Know About the Y2K Bimbo Fashion Aesthetic

    Y2K Bimbo Aesthetic

Flashback to the 2000s! This guide will show you how to get the viral Y2K bimbo fashion aesthetic for yourself.

Velour tracksuits, low-rise jeans, glitter, and glam… get ready to take it back to the early 2000s and embrace your ultra-girly side with the Y2K bimbo aesthetic, a viral fashion and lifestyle trend that is both new and nostalgic at the same time.

Pretty much the opposite of the clean girl aesthetic, this aesthetic is all about going ultra-bold: piling on the rhinestones and sequins, wearing statement-making baby tees, sparkly eye makeup, and platform heels.

You may be familiar with Y2K style and pop culture, but how about the “bimbo” part of this aesthetic?

Well, the word “bimbo,” which typically has a disparaging connotation, has been reclaimed by TikTokers like @chrissychlapecka, who have put their own positive spin on it. Bimbos, himbos, and thembos are empowered and dress the way that makes them feel their best, unconcerned with the male gaze or societal expectations.

There’s no such thing as “too girly” or “too glam” when it comes to bimbofication, which is why it pairs so seamlessly with Y2K fashion, which is considered “extra” compared to the neutrals and basics that are popular today.

Aside from TikTok, think of Legally Blonde‘s Elle Woods or Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie circa their The Simple Life days — these Y2K bimbo icons are the aesthetic’s blueprint.

If you’re ready to embrace your own inner Y2K bimbo, read on for our trend guide to the viral aesthetic that’s taking over our digital screens and giving us all the nostalgic feels.

Key Elements of the Y2K Bimbo Aesthetic:

    • Neutrals? Never heard of ’em. Bold, eye-catching colors like hot pink and turquoise are cornerstones of the Y2K bimbo aesthetic — the brighter, the better. At the same time, you can also wear softer hues like baby pink, light blue, or lilac, so long as you are sure to accessorize with sparkly accessories for the glam factor.
    • Incorporate cutesy, girly details like hearts, bows, butterflies, etc., into your outfits with graphic prints and embroidery.
    • Being “demure” might be a TikTok trend right now (IYKYK), but this aesthetic is pretty much the opposite of demure. In fact, it’s all about clothing that is tight-fitting, low-rise, and revealing, making it ideal for those who aren’t afraid to show off their bodies and embrace their femininity.
    • Similarly, your makeup and hair should not be demure, either! Instead, elaborate hair and makeup can amplify the aesthetic even further. Go for bold eyeshadow, juicy pink lip gloss, dramatic lashes, body glitter, voluminous hair, sparkly nails… the works! More is more with this aesthetic.
    • Sparkly, glamorous accessories are a must. Rhinestones, glitter, and anything that sparkles are going to add a glam aspect to your outfits.

Styling Tips for Y2K Bimbo Aesthetic Outfits

    • Play with bold colors and textures for maximum impact. For example, wear velour pants with rhinestone detailing for a cute contrast.
    • Browse Pinterest and Tumblr for style inspiration from celebs that were paparazzi-magnets in the aughts like Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears.
    • Even if you don’t want to go full-out Y2K bimbo, you can still incorporate elements into your everyday looks for a playful pop, be it with a funny graphic print t-shirt or some oversized shield sunglasses. You could also consider wearing this aesthetic on Halloween and incorporating it into a Y2K-inspired costume.

    Y2K Bimbo Outfit Ideas

Embrace Bold Colors & Girly Prints

Go bold or go home! This aesthetic is not for the shy.

Embrace your inner Y2K pop princess with a shimmery hot pink corset crop top and some stretchy flared jeans with rhinestone-encrusted pink butterflies, swirls, and flower designs on the legs — but don’t stop there.

Be sure to accessorize with sparkly, eye-catching accessories like a crystal choker necklace, some pink rimless rectangle sunglasses with butterfly details (to match the jeans, of course), and some sky-high hot pink heels. These hot pink faux patent mules with curved platform heels remind me of Barbie shoes (in the best possible way).

Juicy Couture Velour Rhinestone Velour Hoodie & Track Pants

Juicy Couture Velour TracksuitJuicy Couture Velour Tracksuit

It doesn’t get more Y2K than a Juicy Couture velour tracksuit. These ruled the ’00s, and they’re back!

Equal parts comfy and girly, this velour hoodie and matching track pants are both bedazzled with the “Juicy” logo for added bling.

There are many colors to choose from, but this bright turquoise hue is especially perfect for achieving the Y2K bimbo aesthetic; just add some oversized, rimless sunglasses and a silver chain necklace to complete the monochromatic ensemble.

    Pink Patent Mini Dress

Not only is this mini dress bright pink, but it’s shiny thanks to its patent leather-inspired fabric, making it stand out that much more.

You’ll feel like a life-sized Bratz doll in this shiny, stretchy mini dress that just needs some high heels and sparkly silver jewelry for a Y2K bimbo aesthetic look.

Flaunt Your Curves with an Early 2000s Vibe

Does it get more glam than a hot pink sequined mini dress? I think not!

Take inspiration from Paris Hilton’s early aughts clubbing days with a super short, tight-fitting, and bright pink mini dress that’s going to turn heads. This strapless sequined number is the ultimate Y2K bimbo pick, especially when paired with some strappy metallic silver platform sandals.

While modern-day wisdom would tell you this look doesn’t need much accessorizing because it’s already so bold, the Y2K bimbo would say otherwise. So pile on the sparkly silver jewelry, like these adorable butterfly hoop earrings, and grab an eye-catching handbag like this shiny pink bag with a silver chain.

    Embellished Stretch Bootcut Jeans

Another great way to show off your physique is with some body-hugging jeans — with embellishments, of course. These stretchy bootcut jeans have embroidered and embellished back pockets for a total Y2K vibe.

Play With Nostalgic Characters & Funny Graphics

Hello Kitty Velour Rhinestone Pants & Tube Top

Hello Kitty F21 Velour Pants and Tube TopHello Kitty F21 Velour Pants and Tube Top

Hello Kitty was ultra popular in the late ’90s and early ’00s, and with her cute, girly vibe and signature pink hair bow, she’s a fitting character to flaunt in your Y2K bimbo outfits.

Forever 21 recently launched a Hello Kitty collection filled with pieces that are perfect for this aesthetic, like this turquoise velour tube top and matching flared pants, both with rhinestone embellishments that say “Hello Kitty”. This set is glitzy, colorful, and nostalgic, making it a must-have for the aesthetic.

    “Iconic” Graphic Print Tank Top

Make a statement with a playful graphic print tank top or cropped t-shirt.

The current bimbo movement is all about loving yourself, so your graphic print top should reflect that sentiment! This “Iconic” tank top checks all the boxes, with its message of self-love, its girly heart and font, and its pink straps for contrast.

Pair it with a pink mini skirt and platform heels for the ultimate Y2K bimbo look.

“I Love Me” Graphic Print Cropped T-Shirt

The shirt says it all. Love yourself, and don’t be shy about it: let everyone else know, too!

This “I Love Me” cropped graphic print t-shirt is sure to turn heads and start conversations. It’s ultra-cropped to show off your curves, and its bold statement is empowering AF.

    Shine Bright with Y2K Accessories

I can’t promise that others won’t be jealous of you in this adorable Y2K bimbo aesthetic outfit! With plenty of pink, plenty of sparkles, and plenty of accessories, there’s no doubt you’ll be the center of attention in this look.

Wear a fun graphic print t-shirt like this hot pink “Don’t Be Jealous” baby tee with a low-rise denim mini skirt that comes with a large buckled belt.

Take it to the next level with Y2K-inspired accessories, including a pink faux leather shoulder bag, some pink wraparound rimless sunglasses with star accents, and a Juicy Couture silver heart charm pendant necklace (silver heart necklaces on chunky chains were a huge trend in the aughts).

Platform flip-flops were also a major ’00s trend, and these pink platform wedge flip-flops with rhinestone detailing are as nostalgic as it gets.

    Rhinestone Barbie Slide Sandals

    Living in a Barbie world!

These hot pink rhinestone slide sandals are sparkly, bright, and Barbie-approved. Best of all, they’ll keep you comfy while still looking ultra-girly — heels aren’t the only option when it comes to Y2K bimbo aesthetic looks.

Slip these faux leather slides on and take on the day with flair.

Rimless Baby Blue Butterfly Visor Sunglasses

You’ll feel like a pop princess in these rimless baby blue visor sunglasses with butterfly detailing. Thanks to their sheer lenses, they are ideal for wearing indoors to parties, clubs, or wherever you desire.

  • The “About Fucking Time!” Tank Top Is Becoming The New “Jesus Is My Homeboy”/“Mary Is My Homegirl” Shirt

The “About Fucking Time!” Tank Top Is Becoming The New “Jesus Is My Homeboy”/“Mary Is My Homegirl” Shirt

    [ad_1]

As with most impactful trends, it began with Madonna. Or at least got kickstarted by her (see also: vogueing). More to the point, the pop culture tastemaker spotlighted the “About Fucking Time!” shirt by sporting it at the August 24th birthday party she threw for her twins, Stella and Estere. Soon after, Charli XCX posted a “chest shot” photo of two unidentified people (though it looks like her and Sweat Tour co-star Troye Sivan) wearing the same tank tops with the increasingly familiar phrase. Though, in truth, the t-shirt goes back much further than its current “it” moment, created by one of Madonna’s long-standing besties, Stella McCartney. The latter, in fact, appropriately donned a “prototype” at the 1999 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony when her dad (you know, Paul) was finally inducted.

Not so coincidentally, McCartney was also present at the aforementioned “high-brow, who’s who” of a twelfth birthday party—pictured next to Madonna as the two held a cluster of balloons in each hand. Only Madonna wasn’t wearing the tank top in this image, but rather, saved it for a photo of herself sandwiched in between Stella and Estere. Thus, the shirt often tends to be worn during instances when something has been “long overdue” (like, apparently, Estere and Stella entering their final preteen year). Which also appeared to be the case with Paris Hilton wearing one for her September ’24 Nylon feature, “From Paris With Love.” Because, after all, she thinks it’s “about fucking time” that she released a sophomore album (though there aren’t that many other people who feel quite the same). Her newly unleashed Infinite Icon record being the topic that the majority of the article focuses on.

And, talking of that particular “2000s icon,” it seems that “About Fucking Time!” is fast becoming the “20s” version of one the 00s’ biggest t-shirt trends: “Jesus Is My Homeboy.” Later, “Mary Is My Homegirl” would also take celebrity closets by storm, reaching a zenith in 2004, when, yes, Madonna was spotted in arguably one of the most 2000s ensembles ever captured by a paparazzo: track pants, trainers, a Von Dutch hat and a “Mary Is My Homegirl” tee.

Like “About Fucking Time!,” the “Jesus Is My Homeboy” shirt went back much further than when it experienced a sudden uptick in sartorial cachet thanks to a clothing company called Teenage Millionaire (oft touted by the likes of Ashton Kutcher and the abovementioned Hilton)—which once boasted a store on Melrose. But long before that brand cashed in on the design, thanks to Teenage Millionaire’s Doug Williams coming across the original version of the t-shirt (the rest of the stock was lost when the screenprinting shop that the OG creator used was looted during the 1992 Rodney King riots), the story began sometime in 1980s L.A.. Specifically, when a man named Van Zan Frater was mugged and beaten by a bevy of street gang members. According to Frater, one youth’s urging to “kill him, homeboy!” inspired Frater to say, “Jesus is MY homeboy. And he’s your homeboy, and your homeboy.” This, apparently, got them to gradually scatter, leaving a bloodied Frater to recover only briefly before being mugged a second time in about as little as ten minutes (oh certain parts of L.A. in the 80s).

When the discarded shirt Frater created to commemorate the “event” was unearthed years later (some accounts say in a vintage store, others in a dumpster), Williams and his Teenage Millionaire partner, Chris Hoy, came up with a backstory about the shirt’s “origins,” claiming “they created the ‘Jesus is My Homeboy’ t-shirt while talking one afternoon about [Hoy’s] Irish Roman Catholic upbringing in a largely Latino community in Hollywood.” It didn’t take long for the shirt to absolutely blow up, appearing on the chests of everyone from Britney Spears to her number one celebrity crush, Brad Pitt. Indeed, that shirt practically was the 2000s.

Cut to twenty years after its cultural peak and now it seems there’s a new shirt with a similar kind of celebrity cachet making the rounds: “About Fucking Time!” And, in keeping with the gentrification of everything, it of course comes from the runway rather than the streets of L.A. What’s more, although McCartney’s shirt has a much less scandalous and fraught backstory, it does speak to “the trend” of the moment—especially in fashion—to make a big performative to-do about preserving the environment. Hence, McCartney’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week centering around the theme of “Messages from Mother Earth” (in other words, what MARINA already did by writing “Purge the Poison” from Earth’s perspective). Among those messages, “Gaia’s” most ominously exhorting missive is none other than: “it’s about fucking time”—that humans paid her some respect. She is, after all, the source from which we’re all derived and sustained (the double meaning, to be sure, is that humans are running out of time to amend their behavior, which is why everything, as usual is all about [fucking] time).

To pay her respect, apparently, means buying clothes from Stella McCartney and, as a sidebar, following her lead on “sustainability.” Alas, while McCartney has been a long-standing proponent of environmentalism and animal rights, there is an almost willful naïveté (that can perhaps only come from being born into wealth) in believing that anything about the fashion industry can ever be sustainable (regardless of McCartney touting, “the sequins are plastic-free”—okay, but they’re still sequins that are probably going to end up in some fish’s mouth—and besides that, what else in the collection couldn’t avoid using plastic?).

Which is why it’s so ironic that someone like Charli XCX, recently tapped to do a campaign with one of fashion’s biggest offenders of fucking up the planet, H&M, and Paris Hilton, down to wear whatever makes her look “hot,” should have the audacity to wear these “statement” tank tops designed to “advocate” for Mother Earth. When, in truth, the biggest favor anyone in fashion could do for said mother is declare that wearing one outfit per season made out of hemp or recycled cotton is permanently chic. Either that, or come out and say that everyone should only shop at thrift stores going forward. But then, that would put every designer out of business, wouldn’t it? Thus, the idea of “overhauling” the industry instead of eradicating it altogether is the best way that people like McCartney can soothe themselves about their chosen moneymaking endeavor.

In this regard, there was a greater honesty to the backstory behind the “Jesus Is My Homeboy” t-shirt (which was also completely inauthentic when worn by any celebrity). Because even though it, too, was ridden with the kind of exploitation unique to the fashion industry (read: stealing a design), at least the original creator’s mantra was “purer” and more believable in terms of motive (not to mention more accessible by way of price range). However, contrary to McCartney’s supposed intentions, many people will have no idea that the “About Fucking Time!” shirt refers to Mother Nature (voiced, for McCartney’s purposes, by Olivia Colman). And her demand that humans treat her with more kindness before she punishes them in a way that means “looking stylish” will be the last of anyone’s concerns.

  • 5 major autumn bag trends you’re about to see everywhere

5 major autumn bag trends you’re about to see everywhere

    [ad_1]

This year, autumn’s biggest bag trends aren’t just covetable—they’re also about rediscovering personal style. The runway shows for autumn 2024 used accessories as love letters to functional style: Miu Miu’s overstuffed carryalls reflected how people actually use their everyday bags. Chloé’s studded crescents radiated boho glam and had enough room to hold a fall layer. Coach’s layered charms captured a collective vibe shift away from the pristine and toward the lived-in.

So while it’s fun to keep up with the latest fashion trends—and our editors certainly are—this season is all about you. Love details like extra-long straps, studs, and keychains? So do McQueen, Tory Burch, and Moschino. In the mood for burgundy? You’re in good company with Gucci and Armani. But whether you go for a designer purse or an under-£50 pick from eBay, wear it with confidence and purpose—that’s the most important bag trend this autumn.

    1. Dark cherry

Yes, burgundy reemerges every fall—but the colour is poised to have a banner year. Just ask Ferragamo, JW Anderson, Fendi, and Gucci, among many other labels who showed dark cherry accessories for autumn. Moody and sultry, the colour pairs nicely with black, navy, grey, and denim blue, making these oxblood bags worthwhile investments that’ll get plenty of wear beyond this season. These are our favourite picks in every silhouette and price point.

    Sandro Leather Bucket Bag

    2. Studded bags

Chloé’s fall-winter runway was perhaps the most talked-about show of the season, almost singlehandedly heralding boho’s grand comeback—and, by extension, the return of studded bags. Brands such as Acne Studios and Alexander McQueen showed similar accessories, and now everyone from Khaite to Mango is on board.

ASOS Design Half Moon Studded Bag

    & Other Stories Studded Clutch

    3. Crescent silhouettes

A few distinct shapes popped up this season, including bucket bags and east-west silhouettes. But we’re most excited about crescents, which walked at Loewe and Chloé, among many other runways. The relaxed, practical design lends itself well to everyday carry and fits nicely with the boho renaissance currently taking fashion by storm. (It’s also a nice alternative to your everyday tote bag.) While these picks won’t stow a laptop, they can handle most everything else—perfect for weekends or nights out.

    4. Special straps

Exaggerated straps graced the catwalks at Prada, Tory Burch, Jil Sander, and Moschino, becoming one of autumn’s most unexpected bag trends. The details, some purely decorative and others at least semi-functional, are another nod toward individual style, proving that even if your bag’s shape doesn’t turn heads, the way you carry it can. Reformation and Bottega Veneta offer handles that turn standard silhouettes into standout handbags.

    5. Bag charms

Coach kicked off the bag-charm trend at New York Fashion Week, and it’s showing no sign of slowing down after popping up at Fendi, Miu Miu, and Etro. (Seemingly every bag carried by editors and influencers at Copenhagen Fashion Week, which just wrapped up in August, featured charms.) It’s carte blanche to cosplay stylish women like Jane Birkin and the Olsen twins, who have long worn high-end bags personalised with charms and keychains (not to mention scratches and wine stains). Attach these charms—including a few mini-bags—to your straps to show off your personality. Meanwhile, Marc Jacobs and Coach have you covered if you’d rather leave the accessorising to the designer.

  • Insights On Fall Fashion 2024

    Insights On Fall Fashion 2024

    [ad_1]

I can’t believe I’m saying this either: but it’s time to start shopping for your fall clothes. You’ve probably seen a few fall fashion-focused TikToks…and stores have even started rolling out Halloween candy.

So yes, we’re looking ahead, but for good reason. First, I’m all about getting ahead of the trends. It’s why people buy UGGs in the summer: you can nab all of the good sizes and colors before the latest UGGs are even a gleam in everyone else’s eye.

If you wait until the last minute, chances are that stores are already stocking their shelves for winter…and we don’t have time for that.

This fall’s biggest trend? Skorts. Everywhere I go, I see at least one person sporting a skort. And while I love a good skort, I truly wasn’t expecting it. You can also expect brown — especially orange tones — to be this year’s color of the season.

We’re moving towards menswear again, emphasizing blazers and plaid tweed trousers. The fashion world is partial to softer, more professional-looking clothing after a summer-long soiree of florals and prints.

Even more interesting is the return of the polka dot. Not my favorite trend resurfacing, but a trend nonetheless. Move over garden party florals, here come unironic polka dots! In all forms.

So, if you’re looking to start your shopping a little early but want to avoid scrolling through TikTok to find the answers…here are our fall fashion trends for 2024!

    Neutrals

    Emma Chamberlain via Instagram

While summer 2024 was all about bright colors and fun prints, fall is more focused on neutrals. Since we’re already losing our tans, it can be easy to feel washed out in vibrant pinks and oranges…which is exactly why we’re leaning towards tans and browns.

Whether it’s a top or bottom, basics are essential for a successful wardrobe. If you’ve already built your capsule closet thanks to Hailey Bieber’s advice, or you’re looking to stock up on your favorite tee, make sure you pack in the neutrals so you’ll always have an acceptable outfit. Looking for fun neutrals? Here are my picks:

    Norma Kamali Drop Shoulder Shirt

    GAP Modern Rib Cardigan

Hollister Livvy Ultra High Rise Linen Blend Wide Leg Pants

    SNDYS x Revolve Cassis Skirt

    Chunky Sweaters

fall fashion trends 2024Matilda Djerf via Instagram

Think oversized cable knits and sailor sweaters. There’s nothing that screams fall more than a sweater you’re basically swimming in. Even though it’s still summer through most of September (and the weather reflects this), I start building my sweater collection early.

This year, I’m loving the retro bell sleeve style to truly get the most comfort out of your sweater style. Look out for notch neck collars and rugby-style sweaters as well. I love a good chunky sweater, here are my faves:

    Everlane The Cocoon Crew

PISTOLA Alpine Cozy Crew Neck Sweater

    Free People Easy Street Tunic

    Tuckernuck Beechwood Crewneck Sweater

    Polka Dots

fall fashion trends 2024Kendall Jenner Vogue ITALIA – Mert Alas

As I mentioned earlier, this one’s a bit weird for me to bring up. Definitely not my favorite trend. In fact, it’s one I think we’ll regret. But I digress, to each their own.

Expect to see a plethora of polka dots on dresses, shirts, pants, skirts — even sweaters! — this year. To my eyes, they’re not flattering and a bit childish. And reminiscent of my kindergarten teacher or a nasty matriarchal nanny in movies. Regardless, some influencer will somehow convince everyone to wear polka dots soon enough, I fear. If I had to wear polka dots, I’d wear these:

    Jenni Kayne Sawyer Blouse

    RIXO Ardith Skirt

    SNDYS x Revolve Chloe Dress

    English Prep School

fall fashion trends 2024Paige Desorbo via Instagram

With trends like Quiet Luxury and Old Money aesthetics continuing to surge — thanks to the likes of Sofia Richie — may I introduce the English prep school style? It’s exactly what you’d imagine: blazers, corduroy, tweed, ties, button-downs, equestrian style.

Think of Bella Hadid’s recent equestrian outfits or Sofia Richie’s preppy looks. The idea is to look polished, a tad collegiate, and super studious. Almost as if you have a library date, or you spend your weekends reading Jane Austen. My favorite British boarding school pieces are:

    SNDYS Hills Blazer

    SNDYS x Revolve Emiliana Top

    Camila Coelho Mireia Tailored Jacket

    Sheer and Lace

fall fashion trends 2024Kylie Jenner via Instagram

Another trend I’ve seen a lot is a dark, romantic vibe. Textures like lace will be popular, or darker floral patterns. Gobs of gothic inspiration, yet with hyper-feminine features that help the piece pop.

Lace bodysuits, appliqued dresses, and more will be popular this fall. You’ll see lots of sheer layering, some rich jewel tones like emerald and ruby, and a touch of velvet. The dark romance theme is akin to royalty: luxurious fabrics, intentional draping, and deep hues. If you want some sheer style this fall, here are easy options:

    Majorelle Ann Mini Dress

    NIA Lace Madrid Tank

    Topshop Lace Tiered Maxi Skirt

    That’s A Wrap!

fall fashion trends 2024Hailey Bieber via Instagram

No, the article isn’t over…I’m talking about the return of the wrap. Whether it’s a wrap poncho, coat, dress, or scarf, the wrap is back. And I’m here for it!

There’s nothing more chic or sassy than draping a simply gorgeous scarf around your head and shoulders when the temperature drops. I’m also loving the poncho style this fall, expect to see many more of these to pop up in stores. Here are my picks:

Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Diamond Weave Blanket Scarf

White and Warren Cashmere Travel Wrap

BHLDN Rue Semi Sheer Pashmina Wrap

  • The skinny scarf will replace your favourite necklaces this autumn, apparently

The skinny scarf will replace your favourite necklaces this autumn, apparently

    [ad_1]

Goodbye, necklaces; hello to the skinny scarf!

The boho aesthetic made famous by Sienna Miller or Kate Moss is having a moment. That’s right –fashion is more cyclical than ever, so the trend that involves a plethora of printed maxi dresses, denim, fringed bags and embroidered vests is officially back. It’s a trend that’s rooted in the ’70s – but was also revived in the noughties, thanks to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Nicole Richie. And now, it-girls of today have been seen sporting the trend, from Daisy Edgar-Jones to Sydney Sweeney.

Boho style is back – here’s how to wear it now, according to Daisy Edgar-Jones and Zendaya

It should come as no surprise, given the popularity of Chemena Kamali’s designs for Chloé right now, sending everyone into a frenzy googling clogs and boho bags alike.

Image may contain Kate Moss Blonde Hair Person Face Head Photography Portrait Adult Happy Smile and Accessories

    Dave M. Benett

With this style coming back in full force comes a micro trend that arrives just in time to replace the necklaces that we have not stopped seeing this summer (we’re talking about those huge, colourful beads and also marine pendants with details of octopuses, stars and even peppers). Now is the time of the skinny scarf – the thin and light scarves that are also sometimes adorned with beads to give a boho touch to our autumn looks.

The skinny scarf is a useful tool to spice up looks that many people consider impractical – or can be used to complete basic outfits. Imagine how good they would look with a vest, your favourite jeans and a good trench coat. They can also be worn with balloon dresses, or with bohemian maxi dresses. The point is, there’s no limit to how you can style them.

Meet Charmcore — the Kitschy Jewelry Trend Taking Over TikTok

While each product featured is independently selected by our editors, we may include paid promotion. If you buy something through our links, we may earn commission. Read more about our Product Review Guidelines here.

In the latest batch of reimagined Y2K trends, TikTok has managed to resurrect a peak early ’00s staple: charm jewelry. That’s right — the chunky charm necklaces and metallic charm bracelets that once dominated your accessories drawer are proving to be fashion’s most coveted commodity this fall. And they’re not just here to take over standard jewelry pieces; bag charms are also popping up on the arms of A-listers and style influencers alike, with designer brands like Coach and Kate Spade New York releasing their own novelty pieces.

So, what’s inspired this charmcore craze? For starters, few fashion accessories provide a more failsafe way to turn heads the moment you walk into a room — in part, because of their notoriously loud, jangly design. Charm jewelry also offers a more sustainable route for updating your wardrobe each season; rather than investing in a new work bag or necklace, you can simply reimagine your older pieces with charm accessories that’ll add some welcomed character (and color) to any style.

Much like friendship bracelets, the charmcore trend is all about wearing things that showcase your personality and play up your interests. It’s kitschy, it’s niche, and oftentimes even a little tacky — but that’s what makes it so fun. And if you’re looking to test out the charm jewelry trend for yourself but don’t know where to start, fear not — we’ve got you covered.

From earring charms to charm keychains that you can use to dress up your bags, boots, and more, we’ve rounded up the best charm jewelry to wear this season and beyond. Our top picks come from both charm jewelry brands and larger retailers like Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters. Looking for a specific style? Browse through our categories below.

  • Rihanna Must Have Told A$AP Rocky to Clock In

Rihanna Must Have Told A$AP Rocky to Clock In

    [ad_1]

We’ve all seen the video by now — Rihanna’s dancing in a hotel room, singing along with GloRilla’s “TGIF” to a confused-looking A$AP Rocky. “Where my drink at?” is Rocky’s response (his comedic timing is everything — Can he do it all?) “I’m too old for this sh*t.” We probably all resonate with the comments like: “This the closest we going to get to an album,” or “good enough. Put this on Spotify.”

Well, in that video, you might have missed one detail: they’re both wearing American Sabotage. Rihanna’s t-shirt, the camo jacket she’s carrying, the deconstructed suit A$AP’s wearing — they’re all designed by Rocky. The video has been watched over 165 Million times and has over 10.3 Million likes. Talk about free advertising for your brand on the back of its headline-grabbing runway debut.

So while I’m not holding out much hope that Rihanna will in fact make this her return to music, I’m still intrigued by the next cultural contribution from America’s first fashion family. Here’s everything you need to know about American Sabotage and why it’s more than just another celebrity brand. It’s a reflection of Rocky’s own fashion roots and Black culture in general, playing out on the world fashion stage.

    A$AP Rocky’s fashion legacy

In 2013, A$AP Rocky released the song “
Fashion Killa” as a single for the album Long.Live.A$AP. The song is certified Platinum and its sentiment is certified true: A$AP Rocky really is a fashion killer. From headline-grabbing street style to luxury partnerships and his signature braids — cornrows are to Pretty Flacko what that bob is to Anna Wintour — A$AP Rocky has what all the greats have: a distinctive personal style and astonishing taste. He’s not a trend-follower, he’s a trendsetter. And he’s Pretty Flacko, he knows he’ll look good in whatever he wears. While that could be an excuse to do the bare minimum, he takes pride in his appearance and takes as many risks in his fashion as he does as a producer. Clearly, it works out. People have been calling him the male Rihanna for years — no wonder he landed Rihanna herself. When it comes to fashion, they match each other’s freak.

So it’s no surprise that A$AP Rocky — just like Rihanna — has launched a luxury fashion brand. It feels so overdue that I can’t help but wonder if Rihanna is the one who told him to lock in. It’s been years since we got a full Rocky album — he and RiRi also match each other’s freak in keeping fans waiting. He’s been working on ventures like his alcohol label and brand partnerships. But he’s a father and the cost of childcare is high! Rihanna may be a billionaire but these prices aren’t a joke. My bet it that Ms. Fenty told her man to clock into the locked-in factory and even gave him advice on how to start a brand.

After all, she launched her own luxury brand alongside LVMH and her marketing for Savage Fenty is responsible for its reign over Victoria’s Secret. And don’t even get me started on Fenty Beauty and Fentry Skin. When it comes to D2C e-commerce, Rihanna has done
more than enough. She’s changed the game for inclusivity, diversity, and creativity. Now, with American Sabotage, it looks like A$AP Rocky aims to do the same.

What is American Sabotage, aka A$AP Rocky X American Sabotage by AWGE?

Rocky’s been teasing American Sabotage for a while. An extension of his creative agency,
AWGE (if you’ve listened to his music, you’ve heard the intro “it’s AWGE sh*t” blast through your speakers). American Sabotage seemed, at first, like it might just be a merch collection. Some also speculated, or hoped, that it might even have something to do with his forthcoming album. But it seems it’s so much more.

Flacko first teased the collection on stage at Rolling Loud last year. He wore a bulletproof vest — a la BROCKHAMPTON — that read: “Don’t Be Dumb” — something I personally need to hear more often than I like to admit. Turns out, the phrase is more than a reminder to me, specifically. It’s one of the rumored titles of his forthcoming album.

To complete the look, he wore strategically sagged jeans, showing off a stack of layered plaid boxer shorts, a styling hack the LES fashion girlies have already picked up. And if you’re afraid of outfit-repeating, don’t be. Our very own Pretty Flacko wore the same outfit formula at Coachella 2024. The only difference: this time, his bulletproof vest was replaced with an American Saborage logo tees.

This stylish, slow reveal culminated in the brand’s first drop. What we first assumed to be merch turned out to be a preview of a brand way bigger than the “Don’t Be Dumb” tees — although those sold out immediately. Despite the price tag, the boxer-stacked jeans also sold out instantaneously, even though they run buyers $600.

But this wasn’t just a fashion statement, it was a political one. The collection was titled: “Stop the sag,” referencing respectability politics often weaponized against Black people. This is a notable difference from the resurgence of the “old money” style, which glorifies an exclusive aesthetic worn by an exclusive group. Instead, he’s celebrating the parts of Black culture that are often denigrated, while subverting fashion expectations. And despite the pervasiveness of so-called stealth wealth, people are responding.

Call it proof of concept, but the instant frenzy around the quiet drop set the stage for American Sabotage’s blazing debut. A$AP had proved that the people had an appetite for American sabotage — even before they understood its complexity. And now that we have the full picture, we can safely say that he’s coming to change the fashion game and bring back substance in style.

Inside the American Sabotage Runway debut

In 1973, American and French designers held a benefit show “battle” at the
Palace of Versailles for the crown of best designer. Over 50 years later, A$AP Rocky brought the best and worst of American culture back to Paris with the American Savage x AWGE Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

With design support from Joshua Jamal, Bede Marchand and Coucou Bebe, American Sabotage is partly Rocky’s own style blended with the collection’s ethos of “ghetto expressionism.” When it came to production, the elaborate set-up was a feast of multimedia details. Guests were treated to the sound of the upcoming A$AP album through the DJ booth, and posters plastered around the wall read “Every US citizen has agreed to be more than happy to be pissed off,” and “Pull up your pants, no one wants to see your underwear.”

The collection featured similar messages of what Rocky describes as “political satire” — one of the phrases emblazoned on his pieces. From NYPD shirts to camo and American Flag prints, the pieces played with American iconography in a way that was both playful and politically biting.

This political commentary isn’t to no end. As with so much of A$AP’s aesthetics — a rapper who has always blended high fashion with echoes of his origins like his cornrows and grills — the show is a message to the fashion elite: Black culture, which is American culture, is more influential, and more complicated than they like to admit.

How fashion and rap music are intrinsically tied together

American Sabotage is notably an expression of rap culture, which is an extension of Black culture. Just look at the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. It proved once and for all that being a rapper is about being embedded in the culture. And as a rapper raised in New York City, A$AP understands the culture.

We take the intersection of rap and fashion for granted these days. And, indeed, rappers and hip-hop culture have always been at the forefront of fashion. They popularized trends that Gen Z are obsessed with today: oversized clothing, oversized jewelry, sneaker culture, sweat suits, and jerseys — just to name a few. But until the early 2010s, rap music was still outside the mainstream.

Rocky was one of the rappers who made a career traversing genres, appearing on songs with Lana Del Rey (if you were on Tumblr in 2012, you remember) and making a name for himself in the mainstream — mostly using fashion.

These days, rappers grace the covers of
Vogue and are front row of the most fabulous fashion shows. For example, London-based rapper (and contender for song of the summer) Central Cee took the spot on the cover of British Vogue’s Music issue this month. For her debut issue, Editor-In-Chief Chioma Nnadi highlighted the connection between fashion and music, and the influence Black culture has on both art forms.

With American Sabotage, A$AP Rocky is making that connection tactile. Some of the most thrilling brands over the past decades have taken cues from hip-hop culture. Virgil Abloh’s Off-White brought hypebeast and streetwear fashion to the world stage, before embedding those influences into Louis Vuitton. Now, rapper Pharell is at the helm of Vuitton as its creative director. Rihanna herself has a fashion line with the biggest luxury fashion company in the world. Young rappers like Tyler, The Creator and Lil Nas X are known for their red-carpet looks. And even though Kanye West has since lost his deal with Adidas (and his mind), his impact on converging fashion and hip-hop cannot be overstated.

Even the best, most ferocious rappers are embedded in the fashion game. Kendrick Lamar is on a tear this summer — not just coming for Drake’s neck, but serving Pinterest-worthy looks while he does it. After rapping “I hate the way that you dress,” on his red-hot “Euphoria” track, he went on to prove that fashion is another way that he’s superior to the Canadian pop star. He wore a cropped The Row hoodie to his Pop Out show in LA, and wore Martine Rose and other fashion favorite brands in his “Not Like Us” video. Every rapper is a fashion girl at heart, it seems.

In a time where rap and fashion are so intertwined, it’s easy to take A$AP Rocky’s fashionista status for granted. But he’s not new to the fashion game, he’s
true to it. “I’m the godfather of what we now call art and fashion,” he told GQ. “Taking streetwear, taking luxury, blending them, mending them, matching them together. Taking skatewear, taking hoodwear brands and urban clothes and infusing them all together, that wasn’t really done.”

Because Rocky is so native to the fashion world, his designs for American Sabotage don’t feel derivative. They’re refreshing, they’re true to his personal style, and they’re reflective of his roots.

    American Sabotage and Black Culture

I used to live in Harlem, right next to where A$AP Rocky grew up. I know this because in our local flower shop, bodega, and other neighborhood establishments, you can find framed photos of him shaking hands with the owners. I once stepped out and saw him filming his music video for “Praise The Lord” in my neighborhood (true story). This is to say, he reps the block and hasn’t forgotten where he came from. And that Harlem has influenced everything from his sound to his style.

Harlem is home to Dapper Dan, the progenitor of logomania. It was the site of the largest Black Cultural movements, the Harlem Renaissance and the Black Arts Movement. And it’s an endless source of inspiration for Rocky.

    When
GQ asked about his collection before of the Paris show, he linked it directly to the American social climate. “It’s just me trying to encapsulate just all of my experiences, everything that I’ve learned, everything I’ve experienced about the social issues and the social climate of America,” he said. “I think fashion is an expression. It’s to express how you feel. This is no different. I think each great creative director, designer, artists, they always have that fine balance between conceptualization and manifestation.”

By blending together his experience with high fashion and his original inspirations, he’s created something vibrant, political, and unique to the Fashion Killa himself.

    A$AP Rocky is clocked in

Needless to say, Flacko is clocked in. Part of me thinks Rihanna must have told him to lock in — like I said, those childcare bills ain’t cheap. That’s why he seemed so stressed in that Paris hotel room video. He’s been putting in long days at the office. But the hard work paid off with the critically acclaimed and culturally significant debut.

But the successful launch of his brand doesn’t mean Rocky is swearing off other brands completely. He recently teamed up with iconic Black artist Carrie Mae Weems for Bottega Veneta’s Father’s Day campaign.

He also unveiled a recent campaign with Puma.

These days, Rocky’s like Ryan Reynolds with the income streams. We can only hope that the rest of us get to hear his album soon, even if we never hear Rihanna’s.

  • Olivia Culpo Goes Bridezilla Over Wedding Dress Scandal

Olivia Culpo Goes Bridezilla Over Wedding Dress Scandal

    [ad_1]

Oh, Olivia Culpo. How I wanted to pore over your wedding content in the deepest of green envy. You had it all: the hot football player husband, the equally It-Girl sisters, the star attendees. You could’ve had a
Sofia Richie moment, and instead we’re here.

On June 29, 2024, Miss Universe and model
Olivia Culpo and star running back for the San Francisco 49ers Christian McCaffrey invited their A-List friends to Watch Hill, Rhode Island for what was supposed to be the most spectacular wedding of the year.

As pictures slowly leaked – and with
Vogue onsite for full access – the Culpo-McCaffrey union had potential to be the Pinterest wedding of your dreams. Everyone wanted to see the bride. Olivia Culpo has become a true style icon for her throngs of followers – regularly posting TikToks getting ready for McCaffrey’s games throwing on “cool girl” outfits.

So when her army of umbrellas fell and the world saw her first wedding dress…everyone was left with the same reaction:
    that’s it???!!!

Surely, this must’ve been a ruse. No way would
the Olivia Culpo be dressed in a full-coverage, long-sleeve, high-neck Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown. No, there had to be something else and the public wasn’t allowed to take a glimpse yet.

    But, actually, that dress
was chosen by Culpo as the dress of her dreams. And although she had three dresses in total (yes, all equally tacky or underwhelming for different reasons), social media full-on exploded. And Culpo and McCaffrey have made things exponentially worse.

The Problem With Olivia Culpo’s Wedding Dress

@gowneyedgirl From Miss Universe to Miss Pick Me, Olivia Culpo is earning her crown 👑 (Photos from Vogue Weddings via Jose Villa) #bride #bridal #weddingdress #wedding #oliviaculpo #bridalgown #bridalstylist #vogue #voguewedding #bridaltiktok #weddingtiktok #dolcegabbana ♬ Chopin Nocturne No. 2 Piano Mono – moshimo sound design

Well, there isn’t just one issue at hand. The first is the dress itself: are we serious? Dolce & Gabbana is
not the luxury brand I’d turn to for modern conservatism.

    First and foremost,
Dolce & Gabbana isn’t exactly free of controversy. If you want the people to take you seriously, maybe don’t choose the brand that Elton John called to be canceled in 2015 for making comments against gay parenting.

It’s the middle of summer. If I’m getting married on the East Coast at the end of June, I’m going to be in something strapless. You bet your bottom dollar I’m showing a bit of clavicle. Because it’s
hot and I don’t want to be miserable.

But for Culpo, that was the whole point. And misery loves company it seems. You see, Olivia Culpo defended the dress by saying she didn’t want to “exude sex in any way, shape, or form.” She believes your wedding dress should be “serious” enough to match your “commitment.”

“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.

    And isn’t there something so
Handmaid’s Tale about wanting to be covered for your husband? I genuinely thought we were past this point in life. But hey, back to the 1950s we go!

Even more ironic is that, for the reception, Culpo changes into (essentially) a bodysuit with a mesh bubble wrapped around her waist. When stylist Kennedy Bingham made a viral TikTok response to Culpo’s fashion choices, Culpo got angry. And so did McCaffrey.

@voguemagazine *Adds #OliviaCulpo’s wedding after-party mini to our moodboard.* Head to vogue.com to see all of her custom #dolcegabbana ♬ original sound – Vogue

From Culpo: “Wow what an absolutely evil person you are. I hope no one ever tears you apart in this way because it’s extremely hurtful. I love this dress and it was everything I wanted and more.”

From McCaffrey: “What an evil thing to post online. I hope you can find joy and peace in the world, the way my beautiful wife does.”

I think “evil” may be two public figures name-calling a content creator for speaking the truth about the public’s opinion…but hey! Who am I to judge?
    (I say seething with judgment.)

    The Drama Continues

But Kennedy Bingham ruffled one too many feathers for Culpo and her court, it seems. Not only does Culpo berate Bingham for her evil acts, but she goes on to say that millions of people wear Dolce…she’s not the only one!

And while that may be a redeeming quality for Dolce in Culpo’s eyes, Bingham was quick to point out otherwise:

“They are not just a designer to you, they are a coworker … I’m also not saying YOU’RE anything. I’m saying that your actions allude to a certain mindset that you aren’t doing anything to contradict.”

And one more solid point that Bingham presents Culpo’s emphasis on her natural makeup look. Yes, she makes the brave move of skipping out on mascara (but is wearing a full set of lashes) and ditches the lip liner (a dose of filler will do instead) for a more “natural” look.

I will hold for stifled laughter and eye rolls. Yes, the former Miss Universe who is no stranger to Botox and filler wanted you to focus on
natural beauty. And look, I’m not saying she’s ugly by any means or needs any further work done…but when you’re preaching natural beauty and realness, please save it.

If you want Botox, get Botox. If you want to wear a parka to your wedding in the middle of the summer, do it. If you want to wear a full beat to your wedding, do it. If you want to wear a bikini, wear a bikini.

    But
don’t sell false beauty standards and harp on conserving your sexuality for your groom and then make it our problem when people disagree.

  • Ayo Edebiri co-signed the bubble dress trend

Ayo Edebiri co-signed the bubble dress trend

    [ad_1]

Ayo Edebiri is on a roll! She just delivered another stunning red carpet look that incorporates one of the hottest trends of summer 2024; bubble dresses.

For the premiere of The Bear season 3 last night, June 25, Edebiri went with a look that’s perfect for summer. With an elegant half-up, half-down hairstyle and a soft brown smokey eye, she wore a white strapless dress adorned in flowers from Loewe. As if the dress didn’t already fit the summer vibes, it also featured a bubble skirt with an asymmetrical hemline for a fun twist on the trend.

Though bubble dresses have been in the fashion cycle for years, the trend is resurfacing again now. The style has gone viral on TikTok with users calling it one of the hottest trends of the season, especially for special events and occasions.

Ayo Edebiri at the season 3 premiere of FX's The Bear held at El Capitan Theatre on June 25 2024 in Los Angeles California.

This isn’t the first time Edebiri has sported a viral trend on the red carpet. Earlier this month, she actually included a couple of popular styles for her Inside Out! 2 premiere look. She wore a mint green monochrome suit set from Bottega Veneta that included a pair of culottes in lieu of trousers.

It’s no surprise that Edebiri is on top of the latest trends. The actor has been building up quite the portfolio. In May, she stunned at the Met Gala 2024 in another floral Loewe dress. The ombré frock fit the Garden of Time theme perfectly. (Nailing it on your first try is major.)

As the summer continues, we can’t wait to see what other looks Ayo Edebiri has up her sleeve. In the meantime, let’s just say we’ve been influenced to eye some bubble dresses for ourselves.

  • Please Don’t Bring The Initial Necklace Back

Please Don’t Bring The Initial Necklace Back

    [ad_1]

Do you remember a few years ago when everyone was wearing their gigantic Anthropologie initial necklaces? You could see the emboldened Scarlet Letter from a mile away. Everyone who was anyone had one…but quickly, they cycled out of style. Mine still remains in my archives, collecting dust as a relic in my jewelry cabinet.

Every two years or so, there’s a new form of the Anthropologie initial necklace that surfaces. Suddenly, we are all
super proud of our initials. Since my name is essentially pronounced like a letter, I’m wearing my name loud and proud.

There was the monogram trend that went hand-in-hand with Lily Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines. Your initials emblazoned on any surface: sheets, towels, bags, and of course, necklaces.

Yes, the trend may die but the idea remains the same. And look I get it, an initial necklace
seemingly should never go out of style…because it’s an homage to your name. However, we tend to get overzealous with trends…and these initial necklaces are far from simple.

Which is why I cringed internally when I saw Hailey Bieber donning a diamond-encrusted, bubble-letter, initial necklace. I knew what was coming. I got war flashbacks to girls flocking the necklace stand at Anthro. Going from store to store just to find their initials. Chills.

What is the Hailey Bieber Initial Necklace, you ask?

Hailey is a minimalist in her style – often layering thin gold bangles with chains and simple diamonds. Which is what made this necklace stand out in the first place. She’s now accessorizing her cool “It Girl” style with a huge necklace. But doesn’t it also kind of remind you of a chain a football player would wear pregame?

Bieber isn’t known for her endzone celebrations, however. She’s known for her trends and her fashion (and also her husband). And, actually, she designed this herself.

Alex Moss, a New York-based jewelry designer whose brand has skyrocketed since his 2020 opening, is the genius behind the design. He’s crafted pieces for A$AP Rocky and Drake, but when Hailey came to Moss for her design – it wasn’t even a glema in his eye yet.
    He says,

“I have to give Hailey all the credit for the idea of the B,” explains the jeweler. “She told me her vision of a bubble letter; I thought of it like an inflatable birthday balloon.”

And that’s not all. Alex Moss then proceeded to design a similar styled “J” ring that Hailey often sports. The same bubble letters, the same diamonds, everything.

I can already see it now: jewelry brand after jewelry brand mass producing copies of Hailey’s initial necklace…because anything Hailey touches turns into a sell-out trend. In fact, when you Google “Hailey Bieber initial necklace”, there are already a few dupes on the market.

But I’m here to be your voice of reason.
You don’t need the gaudy initial necklace just because Hailey has it. Please.

Look, I’ll speak for myself to make it make sense: I don’t know how to style this necklace to make it work for everyday wear. It’s ginormous, gargantuan, capacious, sizable, ample, tremendous, and astronomic. It takes up half of Hailey’s chest. You can barely see what she’s wearing past that huge piece.

It’s good for Hailey Bieber, but maybe not so doable for the non-Nepo Babies like us.

Timeless Initial Necklaces That Aren’t Hailey’s

I know we all want to be as glamorous as Hailey, but sometimes less is more…especially when you can’t afford the real deal Alex Moss necklace that she sports. And, if you purchase something a bit more muted, you’re guaranteed a timeless piece that won’t make you cringe in a few months time.

If you’re looking for an initial necklace revival, here are a few of my fave unostentatious picks:

Brook and York Mackenzie Birthstone Initial PendantI love this because it’s wholeheartedly you. Both your birthstone and your initial stamp will give you something that no one else has. Plus, I love how dainty it is.

Kendra Scott Inline Initial NecklaceUnique, but not taking away from your outfit. This will give you something different that you can easily layer with other necklaces.

Kendra Scott Diamond Letter Initial NecklaceDiamonds are a girl’s best friend…and if you liked the sparkle from Hailey’s necklace, this will give you a nice fix without overdoing it.

Abbott Lyon Double Initial Crystal NecklaceSomething different, yet still fun – having both of your initials overlapping. It’s classy and I haven’t seen many people wearing it yet. A bonus.

Abbott Lyon Initial NecklaceOne of my favorites because of its simplicity…yet something about the font and design makes it simply singular.

  • Tennis Core Outfits: How to Serve Up Style on and off the Court

Tennis Core Outfits: How to Serve Up Style on and off the Court

    [ad_1]

This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you purchase through our links. Please read our full disclosure here.

This post will show you how to get the tennis core aesthetic with outfit ideas and clothing under $100.

This season, it’s all about tennis core, a fashion aesthetic inspired by tennis culture and lifestyle.

From Zendaya’s Challengers to Break Point on Netflix, tennis and the fashion associated with it — both on and off the court — has become the “it” aesthetic that has taken over our screens and the fashion world alike.

The tennis core aesthetic is athletic yet feminine, classic yet luxe, and, best of all, can be worn by anyone, regardless of whether or not they play the sport!

This aesthetic takes two forms (that inevitably overlap at times):

The first involves wearing athletic outfits that you could wear on the actual court, like pleated skorts, athletic mini-dresses, tennis shoes, and the like.

The second form of this aesthetic involves elevated country club and Old Money-inspired clothing that you’d wear as a spectator of the sport, taking inspiration from the “TWAGs” or the wives and girlfriends of professional tennis players.

Look to influencers like Paige Lorenze, Ayan Broomfield, and Morgan Riddle, some of the most well-known tennis WAGS, for outfit inspiration, as their style in the stands has catapulted this trend into the limelight. (Of course, it should be noted that outside of being TWAGs, these women are accomplished businesswomen in their own right, and in Ayan’s case, a successful tennis player herself!)

Unlike attending other sports games such as hockey, football, or soccer, which call for wearing your favorite team’s jersey with jeans or other casual clothing, the attire worn to tennis matches is more elevated and refined. Think Old Money or Quiet Luxury, but with a casual, sporty twist.

In general, here are some of the key elements of tennis core fashion:

    Key Elements of Tennis Core

    • Pleated skirts, skorts, and dresses
    • Collared clothing like polo shirts and shirt dresses
    • Classic colors including white, navy blue, and Kelly green
    • Anything preppy — think country club-approved attire
    • Braided and cable knit cardigans; V-neck sweaters
    • Vintage-inspired accessories like oversized stud earrings, hair barrettes, and structured handbags
    • Slim sunglasses in oval and cat-eye shapes
    • Baseball caps with small logos and/or visors
    • Slingback heels, cap-toe flats, mules, and low-top tennis shoes (of course)

Now that we’ve covered the basics, it’s time to show you how to get the tennis core look for yourself. Plus, everything in this post is under $100, so you won’t have to break the bank to achieve the aesthetic.

So, without further ado, read on for the cutest tennis core outfits and clothing under $100 that will have you *serving* on or off the court.

    Tennis Core Outfit #1

Channel your inner TWAG with a polished ensemble that would be perfect for cheering from the stands… or for heading out on the town.

This navy blue tweed mini skort and matching short-sleeve collarless jacket have a designer-inspired look that will make you appear ultra put-together. The jacket’s curved hem and gold buttons add to its luxe vibe so that it could totally pass for a designer piece.

Opt for classy gold accessories to accentuate the jacket’s buttons, like some pearl stud earrings with twisted gold trims that give them a vintage effect and a structured leather shoulder bag with a gold clasp closure.

For an elegant look, match your shoes to your bag; these off-white pointy-toe patent slingback heels are the perfect option. Complete the ensemble with some timeless tortoise cat-eye sunglasses, and you’re sure to score all the style points.

    Tennis Core Outfit #2

Next up is a sporty-meets-chic look that you could wear on or off the tennis court. Whether you’re going to play tennis or just running errands on a hot summer day, this outfit will keep you cool, comfortable, and looking put-together!

A pleated skort is a must, and this pleated green skort with a classic white contrasting trim and seamless interior shorts is as cute as they come. Complete with a hidden pocket (for a tennis ball or your cell phone) and UV protection, this breezy mini is ideal for a hot day.

Wear it with a classic white polo top like this sleeveless, slightly-cropped option made from a compressive activewear fabric that is smoothing and sculpting (without pinching). The collar gives it a classic, country club-esque look, as does its zipper front.

Bring the look together with some Reebok Lifestyle Club C 85 sneakers (with hints of green to match the skort) and tennis-inspired accessories like a “Tennis Club” tote bag and visor with a tennis logo to keep the sun out of your eyes.

    Tennis Core Outfit #3

Talk about laid-back luxe. White, flowy, pleated wide-leg pants are a classic item that would fit right in at a tennis match or an upscale country club.

While these versatile pants can be styled in many different ways, give them the tennis core treatment by pairing them with a navy blue braided knit cardigan with contrasting white trim. This cardigan features an adorable embroidered tennis logo, as does its matching navy blue and white tennis logo cap, which gives the outfit a more relaxed feel.

Sneakers will also help to keep the outfit looking laid-back, and these white Superga platform sneakers will give you a bit of a boost so that the pants flow nicely when you walk.

Complete the ensemble with some twisted gold hoop earrings and a structured shoulder bag like this two-tone canvas bag with luxe gold hardware for just a subtle touch of shine.

    Tennis Core Outfit #4

Pleated dresses and mini skirts are a must in tennis fashion, especially in a crisp color like white.

I could totally see someone like Paige Lorenze rocking this short white pleated dress with a sleek square neckline at a tennis tournament, along with a black leather belt and some classic slingback pumps.

These slingbacks go the extra style mile with tweed fabrication, patent toe caps, and precious pearl embellishments, giving them a Chanel-inspired look.

Accessorize with luxe-looking pieces like some textured gold earrings and gold metal oval sunglasses, plus a quilted vegan leather shoulder bag with a gold chain strap.

    Tennis Core Outfit #5

Looking for a girly take on the tennis core aesthetic? This pink plaid knit set puts a trendy, feminine twist on Old Money style, with a pink plaid knit crop top and a matching short-sleeve cardigan that give a fresh update to classic sweater sets.

Style the two with a white pleated mini skirt and some white heeled sandals, like these square-toe mules with geometric straps and hollow triangular heels. They are super cool and unique, with a short heel (that’s wearable during the daytime) and a glossy white finish.

Since this outfit has a lot of eye-catching elements, keep accessories minimal with some sculptural silver dome earrings and a stretchy white headband.

IDK about you, but I’m living in active mini dresses this summer (and I don’t even play tennis).

They look adorable, but most importantly, are ideal for hot summer weather thanks to their activewear fabrication that is often lightweight and sweat-wicking.

Keep it casual with some low-top sneakers, or dress it up with heels depending on where you’re headed. Also consider tying a cardigan sweater over your shoulders for the ultimate preppy look.

    Graphic Print T-Shirt

Give your wardrobe a touch of tennis core with this fun, colorful graphic print t-shirt featuring a tennis club logo. Its Kelly green and pink color scheme makes a bright statement that can be paired with pleated skorts or casual items like jeans or cargo pants.

    Striped Button-Up Shirt

It doesn’t get more classic than a button-up shirt, especially in a blue and white striped print.

This item is a staple in just about every wardrobe and is a great piece to incorporate into tennis core looks. It would certainly blend right in at a tennis tournament or a country club.

Whether you wear it on its own or tie it over your shoulders (as shown above), this essential shirt is sure to become a staple in your closet.

    Bubble Skirt Mini Dress

If I were heading to the Monte Carlo Masters as a spectator, this cotton halter mini dress with a bubble hem would be a top choice for the famed tennis tournament.

It’s chic yet fresh thanks to its bubble skirt with a pleated look, along with its halter neckline and cream coloring. Styled with some slingback kitten heels, a structured handbag, and cat-eye sunglasses, this would make the ultimate chic statement.

    Short-Sleeve Polo Shirt

Have you seen Target’s collaboration with tennis and lifestyle brand Prince? The Prince for Target collection celebrates pickleball, but the cute and affordable styles released are just as suitable for tennis (and tennis core).

This cream short-sleeve polo shirt with a contrasting navy blue collar gives a preppy top a retro feel, and its two-tone design makes it totally mix-and-matchable.

    Tennis Graphic Print Sweatshirt

Another brand to look out for when curating your tennis core collection? Mango’s Tennis Club. This line of tennis-inspired clothing and accessories is a perfect example of how the tennis core aesthetic has taken center stage in the fashion world.

Join the “club” with this crewneck sweatshirt featuring a tennis graphic print that will make you look like a pro yourself (no matter if you’re not).

    Yellow Button-Down Mini Dress

How cute is this yellow button-down mini-dress?

Its silhouette is classic thanks to its button-down front and collar, but its mini length and open back keep it looking youthful and trendy. Plus, its butter-yellow hue is one of the hottest colors of the season, making it a prime pick for watching a match.

    Pleated Mini Skirt

If you want to nail the tennis core aesthetic, you need a pleated mini skirt ASAP!

This simple pleated white mini skirt has a wide basque and a classic silhouette that makes it versatile. You can just as easily wear it with a simple tank top or t-shirt as you could with an athletic top; it is a timeless piece that you’ll be able to hold onto for a long time to come.

    Tennis Graphic Print Baby T-Shirt

While this cropped graphic print baby t-shirt might not be country club-approved IRL, it’s a fun way to wear the tennis core aesthetic in your daily life.

Its casual vibe and eye-catching tennis graphic print mean you’ll be grabbing it to wear with jeans, shorts, or skorts during your time off the court.

    Pleated Mini Skort

Brighten up your look with this sweet, sporty skort.

With a flowy pleated design, four-way stretch, and built-in shorts, this active skort comes in nine different colors, including this peachy hue that is perfect for summertime.

Its breathable fabric allows for airflow to keep you cool if you work up a sweat, but its flirty silhouette puts a feminine spin on this activewear.

    Navy Blue Collared Sweater Dress

I am in love with this navy blue sleeveless sweater dress with a collared neckline, white contrast tipping, and a partial white button placket. It’s classy yet cute thanks to its figure-skimming silhouette (and stretch knit fabric) and can easily be dressed up or down to your liking.

Wear it with white low-top sneakers or with heels — either way, you will look like a winner.

    Tweed Mini Dress

The description of this tweed mini dress alone makes it a shoo-in to the tennis core trend, drawing a comparison to Zendaya’s Challengers wardrobe and the Quiet Luxury aesthetic. And did I mention that its color is called “Tennis Tweed,” as an homage to the green hue of the tennis court?

This polished piece is oh-so-classy and will look fabulous with a pearl necklace and some slingback pumps or Mary Jane shoes. With its button-front, collared neckline, and princess-seamed silhouette, it’s as flattering as it is chic.

Black and White Tipped Crop Top and Mini Skirt

Express black and white crop top and mini skirtExpress black and white crop top and mini skirt

There’s something about this black and white tipped set that is giving tennis WAG in the best way possible. The square neck crop top and high-waisted mini skirt feature a color-blocked design and are made with a stretch cotton material that makes them comfortable yet contouring.

Just add some black cat-eye sunglasses, and you’ll be good to go!

7 to Shop: Including $27.99 Trousers and the Only Black Jumper You Need For Winter – POPSUGAR Australia

    [ad_1]

Australian Fashion Week will have kicked off by the time this is live. Held annually at Sydney’s Carriageworks is a week-long celebration of Australian fashion, with longstanding names showing alongside debut AFW designers.

What that means for me is that I’ve spent the last couple of weeks mentally planning my outfits for the week. I want to warm inside Carriageworks’ warehouses, but not have a bulky coat hide my ‘fit. I want to wear comfortable shoes to easily run from show to show — some are off-site — but also not have them tone down my look too much.

That’s what has been on my mind. While I have yet to wear some of those pieces I landed on for AFW (they’ll be in next months’ column!), ahead is what I have worn already, some fashion week-ready, others, in the case of the first shopping pick, ready to wear to bed. These are the fashion editor picks May 2024.

I couldn’t get enough of the Scandi winter fashion on my social feeds this past Australian summer, so I was counting down the days ‘til I could dress warm. These ribbed, wide-leg trousers look straight out of Copenhagen. I’ve been pairing them with a dressy top and heels to disguise the fact they’re meant for bed.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Styling Suite with Third Form clothes I could wear for AFW. I settled on this vest and a top and skirt set in a stretchy, jersey material. This twill fabric vest goes with so much already in my closet. I’ve worn it with a white skirt I got in Korea, and pants from Zara — really, it’ll work with any bottom that can be seen beneath it (basically, just not short shorts).

I have this vest with the matching Tippi Jeans and I wore them together for an outfit reminiscent of the one Britney Spears wore when she matched Justin Timberlake in 2001. I think every millennial thinks of those outfits when they were double denim. The top is halter-back and is tight enough that you may not require a bra. I’ll pair it with other trousers in my closet too — though likely loose-fit and baggy to balance out the tight fit of the vest.

This bag is an ideal size to fit my wallet, keys and phone, which, most of the time, is all I need. It being black too makes it easy to pair with any outfit. When I was introduced to it at a Nike styling event, the stylist suggested it may also work over a boxy blazer.

Being American, I’ve been familiar with Reformation for a while — almost since it opened its online shop in 2013. In Australia, the brand is a lot less known, though, since April this year when THE ICONIC was announced as a stockist, that’s sure to change. The set has such a classic silhouette. Wearing it, I feel ready for a garden party.

    fashion editor picks may 2024

A black jumper is essential to any capsule winter wardrobe, but it’s hard to find good quality jumpers that don’t easily pill. So far (fingers crossed), this jumper fits the bill — maybe because of its fabrics: a blend of acrylic, nylon, wool and mohair. Its subtle design details like the drop shoulder and turtleneck make it feel more elevated.

    fashion editor picks may 2024

On the weekends, I mostly only wear clothes that double as loungewear, and these knit shorts fit the bill. I’ve been wearing them with a chunky jumper, and appreciating the white stripe on either side, which classes it athleisure.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you purchase through our links. Please read our full disclosure here.

This post will show you the 12 hottest fashion trends for Summer 2024, with affordable ways to get the looks for yourself.

A new season means new fashion trends to be inspired by, and since Summer 2024 is almost here, it’s time to get our wardrobes ready!

In this trend guide, I’m breaking down 12 of the hottest fashion trends that need to be on your radar for the upcoming season and how to get them yourself, on a budget.

Read on for the trendiest clothing, shoes, and accessories under $120 that will put you on the summer’s best-dressed list without breaking the bank.

    1. Tennis-Inspired Clothing

From Challengers with Zendaya to Netflix’s Break Point, tennis core is set to be this summer’s top trend.

But you don’t actually have to play tennis to ace this aesthetic — you can get the look with tennis skirts, polo shirts, athletic dresses, and other activewear pieces you’d see on a tennis court, minus the rackets.

    Polo Dress

Whether you’re actually hitting the tennis court or just going to grab a coffee, run errands, or hang out with friends, this athletic polo dress will keep you cool and comfortable while looking chic.

It has a retro feel thanks to its color-tipped collar and zip-front, plus features moisture-wicking fabric and a fully perforated back panel for ventilation (making it ideal for a hot summer day).

I am obsessed with its classic green hue, too!

    Athletic Polo Tank Top

It doesn’t get more classic than black and white stripes, especially on a polo top.

This half-zip polo features a sleeveless design with active fabric that is compressive and supportive, making it an amazing choice on or off the court.

Style this polo top with a pleated mini skort for the full tennis core effect.

    Active Pleated Mini Skirt

If you haven’t gotten yourself an active skort or skirt yet, this is the summer to do so!

Not only do activewear skirts look super cute, but they are so easy, breezy, and perfect for the summertime.

This pleated active skirt is giving major tennis core vibes, especially thanks to its Kelly green hue which is a style signature in tennis culture.

    2. Tomato Girl Aesthetic

Who’s ready for a Tomato Girl summer?

This trending aesthetic involves dressing as though you were on a summer vacation in Europe (especially Italy).

Think about what you would wear to roam picturesque coastal towns, have picnics or dine outdoors at quaint bistros, and cruise the Mediterranean Sea.

This aesthetic involves plenty of red (it is called “tomato girl,” after all), feminine, vintage-inspired silhouettes, and plenty of prints, especially those that bring a European summer to mind.

    Printed Red Corset Skater Dress

Red? Check. Feminine, vintage-inspired silhouette? Check. Summery print? Check.

If there were one piece of clothing that sums up the Tomato Girl aesthetic, it’d be this printed red corset skater dress. It checks all the boxes!

Even if you aren’t traveling to a Mediterranean destination this summer, this whimsical dress will put you in that Euro summer state of mind.

And how cute does it look paired with sneakers? Gotta love its versatility.

    Printed Linen Pants

Linen is a quintessential summertime fabric, as it’s so airy and lightweight.

These linen pants with a drawstring waist feature a Tomato Girl-approved print and a slouchy, low-rise fit.

    Printed 3-Piece Bikini Set

This trend easily could have been named the “Lemon Girl” aesthetic since lemon prints are just as much a part of the overall vibe — probably because this is a theme seen on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Regardless of your summer travel plans, embrace the aesthetic with this adorable lemon tile print swim set that comes with a bikini and matching cover-up skirt.

    3. Tie-Front Tops

This season is all about tie-front tops. If it ties in the front, it’s in!

What’s great about these tops is that their tie-front design makes them airy and, therefore, ideal for hot summer weather.

They can be worn casually during the day with jeans or denim shorts or dressed up at night with skirts or trousers.

    Chambray Tie-Front Vest

This chambray tie-front vest combines not one, but two trends: the tie-front silhouette and the denim-like fabrication.

With these trends combined, it’s a total must-have (more on denim later in this post).

    Satin Tie-Front Top

Go for a silky look with this pink satin tie-front top (also available in white).

Its silky, shiny fabric gives it a luxe effect, while the front ties (which look like bows) add to its girly vibe.

Since this top has a deep V-neckline, be sure to accessorize it with a statement necklace to make it pop.

    4. Leopard Print

Leopard print is still going strong this summer!

This wild print, which was especially popular in last season’s Mob Wife aesthetic, has become more mainstream than ever, from leopard print jeans to dresses and everything in between.

Take a walk on the wild side with these trendy leopard print picks for summer.

    Leopard Print Maxi Skirt

One of the best ways to wear this trend in the summertime is with a leopard print maxi skirt.

This mesh maxi is lightweight and flowy and can be dressed up or down, making it quite versatile.

During the daytime, style it with low-top sneakers like some Adidas Sambas and a simple tank top; during the nighttime, style it with heeled sandals and a tube top or crop top for a going-out look.

    Leopard Print Maxi Dress

This leopard print maxi dress is guaranteed to turn heads and make you stand out.

Made from soft mesh, it features a contrasting red lacy trim and adorable red bows on the straps for a pop of color and added trend appeal.

    5. Colorful Sneakers

Last summer, it was all about the black and white Adidas Sambas, but this summer, it’s all about colorful low-top sneakers (including Sambas and other Adidas styles like the Gazelle and the Campus).

A brightly colored sneaker is such a fun way to add a pop of color to your summer outfits, all while keeping you comfortable on your feet.

Get bonus style points for sneakers that feature unexpected color pairings for eye-catching contrast.

    Adidas Gazelle Sneakers

Arguably the hottest shoe of the season, the Adidas Gazelle sneaker comes in a ton of different color combinations, including bright, bold hues like this blue and pink pair.

These sneakers are going to add instant trend appeal to your outfits — even the most basic looks like denim shorts and a plain t-shirt will be totally transformed by these fun shoes.

    Adidas Gazelle Bold Platform Sneakers

Looking for a boost of height? Go for some platform low-tops like the Adidas Gazelle Bold sneakers.

These are just like Gazelles, but with a platform heel that’s going to boost you up, along with adding a pop of color to your ensembles.

Stacked up three layers high, these platform sneakers are just as their name describes: bold!

    Puma Palermo Sneakers

If you want to switch it up and go for a less popular yet equally cool sneaker, try the Puma Palermo sneakers in this bright blue hue.

You won’t see as many others wearing this type of sneaker (compared to the Adidas styles), giving you a more unique look while still being on-trend with a similar silhouette.

    6. Peplum Tops

It’s true: peplum tops are back.

But before you shudder at the thought of the peplum tops of the 2010s (paired with bulky statement necklaces, of course) coming back, think again.

In 2024, the silhouette has been updated for a fresh new look and often goes hand-in-hand with the tie-front top trend.

    Leopard Print Tie-Front Peplum Top

It doesn’t get trendier than this leopard print peplum tie-front top: it checks almost all of this season’s fashion boxes!

The top’s peplum silhouette and puff sleeves give it a feminine charm that contrasts stylishly with the bold leopard print.

It’s the perfect way to make a style statement this summer (especially when paired with red accessories).

    Peplum Bustier Top

Another fresh take on the classic peplum-style top is this bustier peplum top with lined, shaped cups and a flowy silhouette.

It is made with a linen-blend fabric, making it ultra-lightweight and perfect for summertime.

    7. Denim, Denim, Denim

This summer isn’t just for denim shorts — it’s for denim everything!

Denim is having a major moment, from denim dresses to denim tops, and, of course, our beloved cutoff shorts that are a summertime staple.

And don’t forget about denim accessories, too! Basically, the more denim, the better.

    Denim Mini Dress

Set aside your sundresses and floral dresses in favor of a denim mini dress this summer.

With a strapless silhouette, mini length, and seamed design, this stretchy denim mini dress is a fashion-forward pick for your upcoming summer nights out on the town.

    Denim Corset Top

A denim corset top is such a cute piece to wear this summer, as it puts a dressier spin on denim, which is regarded as a casual material.

This denim corset is especially girly with feminine touches like a lace-up back and ruffled hems at the sides, plus buttons going down the front.

I love the way this top looks paired with an airy white maxi skirt, which is another major trend this summer.

    8. Shell & Starfish Jewelry

It’s summertime, which means it’s time to layer on the beachy jewelry.

And what could be beachier than shells and starfish?

This season, beach-inspired jewelry is having a major moment, so embrace your inner mermaid with these statement-making jewels.

    Oversized Shell Earrings

Put your classic hoops aside in favor of some oversized shell earrings this summer.

Though these have a beachy vibe, their gold tone gives them a luxe look that will elevate your summer ensembles. They are also incredibly affordable, making them that much more tempting to try out.

    Starfish Necklace

Ariel’s got nothing on you with this adorable starfish necklace with a rope chain for an extra-beachy look.

The starfish pendant has a holographic finish that makes it eye-catching, especially in the sunlight.

    Adjustable Length Shell Necklace

Step up your summer outfits with this 18k gold-filled shell necklace on an adjustable silky black cord from my own online boutique.

The adjustable cord means you can wear this necklace short as a choker, or longer as a pendant necklace, giving you multiple looks with only one piece.

    9. Capri Pants

    It’s true… capris are back!

This ’90s style staple has been creeping back into the fashion scene, and TBH, they are pretty adorable.

Their knee length also makes them ideal for this time of the year, since soon it will be too hot to wear full-length pants.

    Black Capri Pants

If you don’t want to give up your black leggings come summertime, you don’t necessarily have to — just swap them out for some black capri pants instead!

Black capris are surprisingly versatile, too: you can wear them casually during the daytime or dress them up for nighttime.

    Gingham Capri Pants

Don’t these gingham capri pants make you want to go on a cute picnic?

Their print, combined with the capri silhouette, gives them a totally retro look that is so on-trend in 2024.

To really play up their vintage vibe, accessorize with some slim oval sunglasses, kitten heel sandals, and a stretchy headband.

    10. Contrasting Trims

Prepare to see a ton of clothing with contrasting trims this season.

A subtler take on color-blocking, this design detail is on the rise, and is the perfect way to add flair to basic items.

Plus, this detail can be found in many tennis core pieces, adding to its overall trend appeal.

Black and White Trim Crop Top & Skirt

How chic is this black crop top and coordinating mini skirt with a contrasting white trim?

The trim totally transforms a plain black skirt and crop top into a chic, eye-catching set.

Of course, these items can also be worn with other pieces in your wardrobe, making them versatile and multi-seasonal.

    Knit Top with Contrasting Piping

See how contrasting white piping takes a simple red knit top and makes it a standout, fashion-forward piece?

This sleeveless top is a perfect example of the contrasting trim trend.

It also can be incorporated into the tennis core aesthetic; wear it with a pleated white tennis skirt and white low-top sneakers for a chic summer look.

    11. Bermuda Shorts

Short shorts are usually a summertime staple, but this summer, go for a longer length if you want to be on-trend.

Bermuda shorts, which hit right above the knee, are taking over this season.

    Denim Bermuda Shorts

These denim Bermuda shorts are sure to become your new summer staple.

It’s no secret that jean shorts are an absolute must-have in the summertime, but this year, swap out your short cutoffs for a longer pair of denim shorts.

These denim Bermuda shorts have a more elevated look that will pair perfectly with other items on this trend list, like a tie-front top and colorful sneakers.

    Tailored Bermuda Shorts

These tailored Bermuda shorts are the answer to your summer internship and office dressing dilemmas.

Their long length and tailored design make them more appropriate for the workplace while still helping you beat the heat.

Available in four different neutral hues, they have a polished appearance that can be elevated even further with the right additions (a button-down shirt, a structured belt, a silky blouse, etc.).

    12. Crochet

Crochet is not a new summer trend per se, but it is as popular as ever this season, and for good reason! Due to its open-knit design, crochet clothing is a great way to beat the heat.

It’s especially amazing as swimwear cover-ups and for achieving a boho vibe that works well for music festivals and outdoor concerts.

    Crochet Dress

How adorable is this colorful crochet dress?

Its lightweight knit material makes it an amazing swimwear cover-up. Its color-blocking with bright, cheerful hues and tie-front detail add to its trend appeal.

    Crochet Maxi Skirt

Nothing says “summer” quite like this white crochet maxi skirt.

It’s a little bit boho, a little bit Western (especially when paired with cowboy boots), and all-around cute.

You could just as easily wear this to a music festival as you could to a beach vacation—or even give it the Tomato Girl treatment by wearing it with a red top and sandals.

Linen shirts for women are an absolute necessity come spring/summer – even when the weather isn’t playing game. Let’s face it, they’re one of the few wardrobe items that has the power to feel effortlessly cool, make an outfit feel put together through layering yet completely fuss-free. Not to mention, the linen shirt is the easiest piece to reach for and layer with when the UK weather can’t seem to make it’s mind up.

Albeit difficult to wear, unless you have strategic undergarments like sticky bras and seamless underwear, and iron-reliant if you hate creases, linen has still seen a surge in admirers over the past couple of summers and even during the transitional periods. From co-ords to summer dresses (including linen dresses, of course), with brands like With Nothing Underneath and Nobody’s Child adopting the fabric in their recent collections, the fashion crowd are hooked. Us included.

    The Boyfriend: Linen White

Are linen shirts still fashionable? The linen shirt colour trends for spring 2024

Even though the linen shirt is a minimalist staple, it can sometimes feel a little boring. Formal even. So what’s on the horizon for a wardrobe refresh this season? The classic hues, i.e. black, white, grey and beige, are a safe sartorial bet if you’re yet to invest in a linen shirt of any variety, but we’ve definitely noticed a surge in colourful iterations this season.

Thankfully, our favourite Instagram fashion creators continue to show us how it’s done when it comes to optimising it’s styling potential. It seems pastel shades are replacing ‘dopamine dressing’ brights and rich saturated reds and royal blue hues will also be taking the hot spot for the spring/summer 2024 fashion colours.

Where to buy the best linen shirts for women

Linen is a premium fabric, granted, and even rivals silk when it comes to bedding, but the natural material doesn’t always come with a price tag to match. High street brands such as Arket, H&M and Marks & Spencer have some seriously chic and lightweight linens at affordable prices.

Much more than just your go-to work uniform when the temperature rises, the linen shirt is a surprisingly practical piece of clothing. Off on holiday and in need of a quick beach cover up? Trust in your linen shirt. Going for alfresco drinks on a balmy summer’s eve? You know the drill. The silhouette’s versatility is what makes it a strong capsule wardrobe contender, and it’s why we’ve rounded up 15 of our favourite women’s linen shirts below.

From oversized shirts made from linen to crop top linen shirts for women and linen white shirts, keep scrolling down to find them all.

For some, festival season style essentials like crop tops and vintage denim are kept at the ready all year long. • Dua Lipa showed us all how to style the undeniable shoe of the season

Dua Lipa showed us all how to style the undeniable shoe of the season

    [ad_1]

There’s no denying that Dua Lipa has perfected her red carpet fashion A-game, but despite wearing some pretty major gowns across awards season by the likes of Prada, Courrèges, Vivienne Westwood and Versace, it’s Dua‘s off-duty style that has got us in a chokehold of late.

Having successfully convinced us that Puma Palermos are the new Adidas Spezials only a few days ago, she’s back making the case for an – admittedly – less comfortable shoe, but one which is fast-becoming the undeniable shoe of the season.

The pointed heeled pump has become a true staple of late – which wasn’t a surprise for those with a keen eye on the catwalks, having been spotted on every AW23 runway from Loewe and Versace to Prada, Jil Sander, Gucci, 16Arlington, Givenchy, Zimmermann, Saint Laurent, Huishan Zhang and Schiaparelli – but Dua‘s take on the trend has elevated things and tapped into a key look for spring/summer 2024.

A look adored by similarly savvy dresser Emily Ratajkowski, red shoes are *everywhere* right now. So when Dua stepped out with new boyfriend Callum Turner fusing the two major trends via a pointed red Jacquemus pump, we couldn’t help but be immediately influenced.

    AMTA

While ‘pointed red heel’ might not immediately sound like a go-to everyday shoe, if anyone can convince us of an elevated piece’s versatility it’s off-duty style icon Dua Lipa. Where a blue jean might result in something of a colour clash and a black may be too heavy for the already-bold shoe, this light-wash grey denim is heavy enough to stand up against the shoe whilst avoiding overshadowing the statement piece.

The subtle pink stripe in the t-shirt balances out the look and avoids it feeling too bottom-heavy (a nod to our favourite Sandwich Dressing styling hack), while the black leather blazer neatly ties in with the lacquered finish of the shoe.

Sure, Dua’s chosen style might be a particularly epic £715 pair by Jacquemus, but there a several styles across a spectrum of budgets – should you want to tap into the trend.
