    Designer collabs are one of our favorite retail trends: the pieces are affordable, the designs feel special because they’re limited-edition, and the items become a mainstay in our wardrobes for years to come. But not all partnerships are created equal: there has to be synergy between the retailer and designer for it to really sing. Christopher John Rogers and J.Crew’s new collab, which launches Oct. 23, is arguably the best of the best. Not only is there a history between the labels β€” CJR worked as a sales associate at the retailer growing up β€” but the brands both have an affinity for vibrant colors, structured silhouettes, and playful separates, all with an air of sophistication and ease.

    The new collab embodies that shared brand ethos with cashmere knits, colorful striped dresses, and trendy barn jackets β€” all available in sizes XXS to 3X. There’s a navy sequin pleated dress that’s perfect for any holiday event on your calendar as well as a red vinyl top coat that will garner compliments every time you wear it. It has all of the charm and whimsy of Christopher John Rogers’s eponymous line, but for an affordable price point ranging from $50 for a tote bag to $550 for a herringbone boucle top coat. The collab also features children’s items for Crewcuts, including Rogers’s signature multistripe print on a stretch taffeta dress and a brushed cashmere matching sweater-and-skirt set.

    I Tried the Kacey Musgraves x Reformation Bunny Dress Everybody Wants

    I won’t lie to you, the Kacey Musgraves x Reformation collection does not align with my typical aesthetic. But the 36-year-old singer, who is currently on tour promoting “Deeper Well” β€” which was just nominated for CMA’s album of the year β€” wears it well. The 17-piece capsule collection aims to showcase Musgraves’s personal style and music evolution. It has an English countryside feeling, composed of rich plaids, delicate lace, Victorian bows, equestrian boots, and vintage denim corsets. In a word, it’s romantic β€” which is not how you’d describe even a small chunk of my wardrobe.

    While I love avant-garde shapes and bold colors, and would even describe my fashion sensibility as ever-changing, I had yet to dabble in pouf sleeves and doily trims until I met the Bunny Dress ($248). Since the collaboration was dropped in stores and online on Sept. 16, this dress has quickly become one of the most popular silhouettes, largely thanks to Musgraves’s appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” The Bunny was the first item she wore from the line she helped design, teamed with a pair of simple black heeled mules.

    I had yet to dabble in pouf sleeves and doily trims until I met the Bunny Dress.

    “I got to curate every single detail of this whole line,” she told Meyers. “There’s denim, there’s headscarves, there’s boots, dresses β€” it’s very romantic and I’m really proud of it.” She continued, “It wasn’t something I just slapped my name on. I really wanted to bring the ‘Deeper Well’ aesthetic into a different dimension.” Musgraves went on to reveal that she worked with Reformation for a full year on production, and then shot the campaign in the Cotswolds in England, with her little sister Kelly Christine Sutton behind the camera.

    “I keep saying this is the perfect line for you to just frolic around in,” Musgraves said. And while I’ve never bought a dress that made me think of frolicking in the meadow (what meadow?), Musgraves’s on-screen look was so appealing, I knew I wanted to put my personal touch on it and try to make it my own. What happened when I actually got my hands on the Bunny mini and tried it on surprised me even more. Not only did I feel comfortable enough to embrace my girlier, dare I say demure-leaning, side, I also accessorized with frilly socks and Mary-Janes, a nod to Musgraves’s iconic campaign.

    What Are the Most Popular Pieces in the Kacey Musgraves x Reformation Collection?

    The Kacey Musgraves x Reformation collection is comprised of 17 pieces that range in price from $28 to $498. The Bunny dress is definitely one of the most popular pieces, likely because it was the first style Musgraves debuted when she paid a visit to Seth Meyers. The exact version she wore is still in stock in every size, except for in petite, where most sizes are currently waitlist only. According to Reformation, the collection sold very quickly, with the Deeper Well Denim Shirt and Dallas Denim Corset being first to sell through β€” although most sizes are currently restocked at this time. The Silver Lining Cashmere Two Piece also gets plenty of search, and it’s currently available in both gray, and almost every size in camel.

    What I Like About the Kacey Musgraves Reformation Bunny Dress

    The Kacey Musgraves x Reformation collection comes with a signature tag that suggests exclusivity, which is especially appealing for fans. Like most of Reformation’s clothing, the Bunny Dress feels well-made and isn’t too flimsy or thin. It comes lined and the scoop-neck is comfortable. Neither the elastic at the sleeves or the lace trim felt itchy against my skin during wear. But I think I discovered my favorite element of this dress before I even left the house: It’s actually very versatile.

    We saw Musgraves wear it with mules on the aforementioned talk show; I liked how it looked in the mirror with knee-high boots, my Steve Madden loafers, and the cranberry Mary-Janes and socks combination that Musgraves and I both successfully pulled off; and podcast host and author Tinx even wore it with the Franklin Boots that are part of the collection. Finally, the dress definitely fits true to size. I’m wearing a 0, which is my typical size, and it fit like a glove.

    What to Consider Before Buying the Kacey Musgraves Reformation Bunny Dress

    If you love a dress that’s machine washable, unfortunately, the Bunny is dry clean only to preserve all the delicate details. However, in my opinion, this is a year-round investment piece that works with tights and boots in the winter and bare legs and flats in the summer, so I think it’s worth the trip to the cleaners. Price-wise, this dress does err on the expensive side when it comes to a minidress, but, again, it can be dressed up or down and works for many different occasions. If you’re considered petite like me (I’m 5’1″), I would recommend trying out the shorter iteration, but I actually felt satisfied with the length of the regular size, which suggests a petite cut might have been too short for my liking.

    Shakira is living as her most authentic self β€” in life, fashion, and even music. While her latest era might not be a return to form, it is a raw, unguarded celebration of who she’s always been β€” as evidenced by her new album.

    The Colombian singer might be known for her upbeat dance ballads, but in her latest release (and first new album in seven years), Shakira seems less interested about injecting “life” into the songs, and rather, more inspired to make sense of it β€” with the help of her signature lyricism and staple, thunderous vocals.

    Unlike past records, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (which translates to “women no longer cry”) sees the Latin-pop icon in her most unguarded state yet, following the ending β€” and public aftermath β€” of her 11-year relationship with Spanish soccer player Gerard PiquΓ©.

    Through melodic tracks like “La Fuerte” and “Tiempo Sin Verte,” the songstress explores the themes of heartbreak, healing, and as she’s described it, the “dissolution of a family.”

    “[This] is a project that’s been years in the making, and it’s incredibly close to my heart β€” it reflects a period of intense personal growth and artistic exploration,” Shakira tells PS. “It’s a blend of new sounds and styles, like Afrobeats and EDM, but also has the rock and the ballads that always have a place on my albums.”

    In the wake of her most vulnerable album release to date, the star has also found other avenues for joy and “artistic exploration” beyond the world of music. Most recently, she joined Ipanema β€” the Miami-based sandal brand known for its colorful, sustainable footwear β€” as it’s new global ambassador.

    Though the pop icon had previously worked with the label in years past, she was “happy to reunite again” with Ipanema’s team, this time in a more collaborative position.

    Much like the star, Ipanema’s core ethos revolve around female empowerment and individuality, with products that are designed to stand out, help people live more carefree, and pay homage to the laid-back lifestyle that defines Brazilian culture; every pair of Ipanemas sandals is designed and crafted in Brazil.

    Gap has a reputation for conceiving some of fashion’s most iconic (and unexpected) collaborations, as evidenced by its previous collections with LoveShackFancy and Palace. Now, in partnership with DΓ΄en, the brand is releasing a limited-edition capsule that pays homage to the label’s nostalgic, California-chic heritage β€” and it arrives just in time for summer (because of course).

    Founded by sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland in 2016, DΓ΄en has emerged as a bonafide force within fashion, recognized most for its romantic, puff-sleeve gowns which have been embraced by fashion editors and A-listers alike; Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Kaia Gerber are all notable fans.

    Blind Fashion Designer Natalie Trevonne Just Launched Her Own Brand

    When I first met Natalie Trevonne, she was working in consulting and moonlighting as a writer eager to share her frustrations with the fashion industry. Trevonne, 33, began her journey as a legally blind woman at age 18, following struggles with corrective surgery after being diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She went on to report about the ways in which online shopping lacks in accessibility for POPSUGAR in 2021, and about the poor audio description in popular fashion TV shows the following year. In 2023, she wrote about her experience walking in an inclusive, all-blind runway show. Meanwhile, she was preparing to launch her own brand, NYI, which stands for Not Your Inspiration.

    After working with Ernest Spicer, the company’s CTO and designer, on an NFT wedding dress (shown at the first-ever Meta Fashion Week), the two put their heads together to create a clothing brand that Trevonne felt was missing from the physical world. For her, that meant creating pieces with creative embellishments and emphasizing texture, hence the slogan “Style You Can Touch.”

    “Take the disability out of it. Would I still be inspirational? If not, then maybe it’s not the compliment that you think it is.”

    “As a blind woman, I identify my clothes through textures, so we’re playing with a lot of fun fabrics, like we have silks and lace and leather and corduroy. We have this really sexy tweed dress,” Trevonne explained when she guest-starred on my podcast, “Dinner for Shoes,” in December. “[We’re] really modernizing some classic textures and being able to feel them, so that when you do go into your closet, you’re like, ‘OK, this is NYI.’” Trevonne further elaborated on why texture is key for the blind community, and how it differentiates her label from others. “For a blind person, we can’t have 10 cotton shirts, we’re not gonna know what’s what,” she said. “I have a tweed skirt from Zara that I love, and I know it’s red because it’s my tweed Zara skirt. So I’m adding the color to the texture so I never forget.” Trevonne hopes her customers will be able to do the same with her inventory.

    Days ahead of New York Fashion Week, she introduced her first drop to the East Coast at an intimate showing among family, friends, brand supporters, editors, and influencers. I was honored to lead an interview segment and discussion about NYI’s long-term goals, one of which is an advocacy branch called Access Chicks, which will foster community by inviting those with disabilities to in-person sessions where they can learn about fashion and beauty from industry insiders. Trevonne knows how meaningful these NYI-hosted events will be for folks who aren’t as familiar with cultivating personal style and may have questions they don’t normally feel comfortable asking in other settings β€” while shopping, for instance.

    While you’d be hard-pressed to find an accessible brand today with such a specific, driven mission, adaptive clothing lines do exist. Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, Skims, and Target are all big-name companies that have recently made headlines for introducing small batches of products equipped with details like magnetic closures, functional vents and openings, and adjusted fit points. But they’re falling short, according to Trevonne.

    “Adaptive fashion is great, and I’m not arguing against adaptive fashion, because I think it’s helpful,” Trevonne started. “But what I’ve been trying to get brands to do is just to design with function in mind. Like, we don’t need a separate line. People do not want to feel othered. People are not going to go and buy your adaptive stuff, I’m going to be honest. They don’t tend to be that stylish. And I’m not trying to be rude, but usually it’s a button-up and some jeans. My friends who have dexterity issues who are in wheelchairs, they shop at Fashion Nova . . . They want to be included in the regular style. Just add the functionality to your [pre-existing] collections, and the websites.”

    [Trevonne is] someone who creates clothing that’s equitable in both style and accessibility, without depending on micro-collections that are othering.”

    Trevonne worked with designers Sky Cubacub of Rebirth Garments and Project Runway alum Kyle Denman on the I AM: Inclusive Fashion Experience hosted by LaVant Consulting in October 2023, where NYI first made its runway debut. “[Denman] did not bat an eye when we were like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna have some disabled models.’ He jumped in and made sure that his clothes were functional for everyone,” Trevonne said. “That’s what I loved about these designers: they didn’t make a whole new line, they just incorporated the people with disabilities into their collection to make sure that things fit.”

    This idea is significant to the meaning behind the name of Trevonne’s company, Not Your Inspiration. “As a person with a disability, I could be walking down the street and somebody will be like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so brave. You’re walking out here by yourself? What an inspiration!’ And I’m like, I’m walking like you,” she said. “Take the disability out of it. Would I still be inspirational? If not, then maybe it’s not the compliment that you think it is. And I don’t want to be inspirational for just being blind. Everyone has the opportunity to wake up every day and choose to show up, and I don’t see that as inspiration.”

    In the coming months, Trevonne will continue to use her platform and her brand to spread the word about accessibility, while working to launch her advocacy program, Access Chicks. She also hopes to eventually open storefronts, because online shopping is not accessible for everyone. “I would love for blind people to have an actual place to go in and just feel everything and have a good time. And it won’t just be for blind people. I think a lot of people enjoy that about fashion,” she notes. It all proves Trevonne is the type of founder and designer she hopes to see more of in the industry β€” someone who creates clothing that’s equitable in both style and accessibility, without depending on micro-collections that are othering.

    And just like that, Trevonne has realized her own dream. If there’s anything inspirational about her, it’s that.

This push paved the way for more Black-owned brands to emerge on the scene, and one newcomer has managed to set themselves apart from the rest β€” Maya Winston. In just one year of business, the Jamaican-born designer, now based in New York City, has created a luxury accessory label that’s known for its viral handbags uniquely crafted in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, including their small leather tote, most popularly worn by Angela Simmons, Tia Mowry, and Remy Ma.

    “It’s just those Jamaican roots; we can make anything fashionable.”

    Winston has since catapulted into the luxury bag market with a brand identity that’s just as rich as the quality of his pieces. At 11, he migrated with his family to the US, where he learned firsthand how to sew from his mother, a sought-after seamstress, establishing the foundation of the Maya Winston brand. “Growing up in Jamaica, my mom was always making everyone’s clothes, and as far as I could think back, I’ve always been surrounded by sewing machines, where I would often stitch my uniform whenever I messed it up,” Winston tells POPSUGAR. “It’s just those Jamaican roots; we can make anything fashionable. Take nothing and make it into something.”

    With over a decade spent cultivating his love for design (even starting the men’s streetwear line Terry Winston in 2013, once worn by Teyana Taylor), the Bronx native transitioned to creating accessories for the elevated and confident woman, regardless of demographic. His highly-coveted bags have also captured the attention of major companies like Samsung, which resulted in an exclusive collaboration during New York Fashion Week that included a fireside chat with Winston and a billboard in Times Square. “I always told myself, I’m going to have a billboard one day. But I never stopped to think about what it would look like or its message,” he says. “It was surreal, and Samsung was the perfect company to get consumers to know the face behind the name; it just made sense.”

The accompanying campaign shows the 32-year-old musician in looks tailored to the season, all of which put a sultry spin on festive dressing. Ora, who’s known for iconic fashion moments that include sheer, body-baring elements, plunging necklines, and cutouts galore, has successfully incorporated her personal aesthetic into the accessible line, which was a goal so that fans could easily achieve her look.

    In one shot, Ora poses on the floor in a pair of sheer tights, her legs perched up to show off a pair of patent platform Mary-Janes and a rose anklet. The 3D floral trend also pops up on a tuxedo at the collar β€” another instance where Ora forgoes pants to show off her lace-embroidered stockings. One more standout item? The long-sleeved naked dress with a scalloped trim and hip-high leg slit that she teams with patent leather stiletto knee-high boots and an abundance of silver jewelry.     As a longtime Primark shopper, Ora wanted to stay equally involved in the design process as well as the shopping experience. “I’m not just looking at it as, ‘Would I wear it?’ I’m thinking about the average woman and becoming her in my mind,” she told POPSUGAR in September when she unveiled the partnership during Fashion Week. “It’s almost like an art project.”

The 26-year-old Kylie Cosmetics beauty mogul and reality TV star has been cementing her status in the fashion industry for the past few seasons, forging connections with houses from Jean Paul Gaultier to Mugler, and she’s made the rounds at Paris Couture Week, too. As a multimillionaire, entrepreneur, and tastemaker, she’s more than prepared to step into the spotlight as a designer, following in the footsteps of her sisters Kim Kardashian, who created Skims in 2019, and KhloΓ© Kardashian, who launched Good American in 2016.

    Jenner’s Oct. 24 outfit post, captioned “meet khy,” indicates the aesthetic of her label, which appears to be sexy-meets-sophisticated with a dark color palette. The strong shoulders, leather gloves, and knife-sharp boots incorporated into look one, teased on the official Khy page, suggest edgy ’80s undertones. On Jenner, the jacket is unzipped on each side, resulting in skin-revealing, thigh-high slits. Perhaps some of the clothing will be multi-faceted or adjustable, allowing the wearer to tweak each item to their liking β€” assuming the zippers can also be closed to the hemline. Jenner’s dark hair was left slightly messy in tousled waves, and she opted for rouged cheeks, a berry-toned lip, and jet-black manicure.

    On the day Rita Ora reveals her Primark collection to the world, she’s wearing the gray acid-wash denim set, consisting of a boxy moto jacket and matching miniskirt with an asymmetrical zipper down the front. She styles the co-ords with leather thigh-high boots, several chunky rings, and a fluffy shopper, one of the signature accessories in the 169-piece collection. It’s clear she’s familiar with them all as she singles out members of her design team at the NYC launch party who are also decked head to toe in Rita Ora x Primark, beckoning them to pose for the crowd. One such look is a tan three-piece pantsuit, my favorite that I’ve seen so far. But the rest of the lineup is easily accessible to me, displayed on racks for guests to sift through and even try on.

    The 32-year-old musician has spent two years dreaming up the versatile, season-less, affordable range that emits ’90s grunge and her own brand of sex appeal. “It was a combination of the friendship that I created with the CEOs and spontaneously being at the same restaurant,” Ora tells me after the intimate preview, when I ask how the collab came to be in the first place. As it turns out, her genuine love for the brand began with early shopping trips to her local Primark in Hammersmith, West London, when she considered herself an everyday fashion fan who didn’t want to break the bank. “It was such a great opportunity to reconnect to my roots, respect the journey that I’ve been on, and understand the customers, because I was one of them,” she says.

    Codesigned by Primark and Ora, alongside emerging London-based designer Jawara Alleyne β€” and styled by Rita’s personal stylist, Pippa Atkinson β€” the wardrobe staples allow the singer’s fans to re-create her famous aesthetic on any budget. It’s no surprise that as soon as the first drop was manufactured, Ora began weaving items into her outfits, slowly building suspense and teasing her followers about what was to come. All the while, the accompanying campaign was being shot in Trellick Tower and around Golborne Road in West London, where Ora grew up. “Keeping it really real was all I cared about. That’s the reason I joined with Primark in the first place, so it only made sense to go back to where it all began,” she explains.

    Available on Sept. 19 in all 430-plus of Primark’s stores, the international collaboration β€” starting at $5 for clothing and accessories, $28 for outerwear, and $20 for footwear β€” will be available to browse on primark.com, with the option to use a stock checker before heading out to shop. It also prioritizes circularity and sustainability, with two-thirds of the pieces crafted from recycled materials.     “I’m really proud of where I am now because I’m expressing myself through my clothing.”

    In the video, Richie Grainge sat down with designer Cassandra Hobbins and her agent Adee Drexler to discuss the “top secret-ish” project. “We are creating this beautiful clothing line that brings out how I feel the most comfortable dressing,” she explained as the camera panned over neutral fabric swatches accented by vibrant, primary colors. Currently, Richie Grainge is keeping details about the collection tightly under wraps. Though, the video does provide a few helpful hints.

    In the footage, it appears that Richie Grainge’s collection will feature cashmere as a key fabric. Considering that her personal style emphasizes clean lines, rich materials, and elevated silhouettes, the choice of fabric seems fitting. “Seeing it all mapped out on these papers is really crazy,” she said of the clothing line, which will feature 80 pieces. “We really did this, and we did it fast. I’m so excited about it. I feel like we really killed it.”

    Later in the video, Richie Grainge went shopping at DΓ΄en for a lightweight summer dress to pack with her on an upcoming trip to Palm Springs. “That’s all I’m going for this summer: just being comfortable,” she said as she stepped out of the dressing room in a floral midi dress.

    Over the last several months, Richie Grainge has captivated the internet with look after look.
