  • Taylor Swift Bringing Six-Episode ‘Eras Tour’ Documentary and ‘Final Show’ Concert Film to Disney+ in December

A documentary about Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour has long been the stuff of rumor, and now it’s finally confirmed as the stuff of reality — but there’s much more to it than expected. The singer announced Monday that a six-part docuseries, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era,” will premiere on Disney+ on Dec. 12, accompanied by the simultaneous release of a new concert film, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” shot at the tour finale in Vancouver, B.C.

As announced on “Good Morning America,” the documentary series is described as “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world,” spotlighting “performers, family members, and friends” including tour opening acts Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter and guests Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch. The first two of the six episodes will go up for streaming on Dec. 12, with two more episodes at a time each of the two weeks after that.

The concert film bows at the same time as those first two docuseries installments. It will mark the first time fans have gotten a chance to see the material that was added to the Eras Tour from the “Tortured Poets Department” on the big screen. Her earlier “Eras Tour” theatrical concert film (which also eventually made its way to Disney+) was released before that album came out or songs from it were added to the tour set list.

A teaser trailer for the documentary lasting a minute and 39 seconds was released right after the announcement; watch it below.

“It was the End of an Era and we knew it,” Swift wrote in announcing the projects on her social media. “We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”

“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” is directed by Don Argott, co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce and produced by Object & Animal. “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” meanwhile, is directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Taylor Swift Productions in association with Silent House Productions.

The concert movie will show viewers the Eras Tour finale that took place at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Dec. 8, 2024. (Read Variety‘s review of that show here.) Her setlist for that capper to the $2 billion-grossing, nearly two-year tour ran to 45 songs and included the additional “Female Rage: The Musical Segment” that had been added to the show after the release of “The Tortured Poets Department.” Additionally, the “surprise songs” segment for that show featured medleys of “A Place in This World”/”New Romantics” and “Long Live/New Year’s Day.” It wasn’t immediately revealed whether the concert film will include the entire length of the show.

News of which platforms would be running with Swift’s next project — or, as it now turns out, projects — had already been tipped on Sunday, when the logos for Disney+ and Hulu were overlaid atop the Instagram image “GMA” posted teasing a big on-air announcement from Swift for Monday morning. There’s synergy aplenty there, with the reveal coming on the Disney-owned ABC.

The likely existence of a documentary and/or concert film had weighed heavy on Swifties’ minds ever since they noticed the presence of camera crews above and beyond what was needed to fill the arena’s big screens during the final show of the Eras Tour in Vancouver, B.C., in December 2023. A previous concert movie filmed on the tour, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” had already come out in theaters at that time.

The superstar previously took “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” to Disney+ in April 2024 after the film’s record-breaking run in theaters. Just as “Eras Tour” had quickly become the highest-grossing concert movie ever in cinemas in late 2023, when it went to Disney+ months later it set a record for initial streaming of a concert film, getting 4.6 million views on the platform in its first three days of availability. The tour film going exclusively to Disney+ was a sign Swift was pleased with how the platform handled the late 2020 release of her documentary “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.” (Swift previously had concert films or documentaries go out through Netflix and Apple.)

This new docuseries and concert film will both be bypassing theaters, unlike the “Eras Tour” concert movie of two years ago. But theater owners don’t have too much to complain about on the Swift front right now. She did just give them “Taylor Swift: The Release Party of a Showgirl,” an album-release promotional event which was No. 1 at the box office with a $33 million gross in theaters for a mere three-day run.

The Eras Tour doc will come on the heels of Swift not only topping the box office with “Release Party” but topping the Billboard 200 with a record-breaking first week for the album “The Life of a Showgirl.” In only five days, it broke the high-water mark for an album in a single week, a record previously held by the debut outing for Adele’s “25” 10 years ago.

Besides ABC sharing a corporate parent with Disney+, Swift taking to ABC for this announcement made good on her long-time association with “Good Morning America” — coming a week after she seemed to be showing NBC all the love with appearances on Jimmy Fallon’s and Seth Myers’ late-night talk shows. Ratings showed that “The Tonight Show” came away with the best ratings in the 18-to-49 demo in eight months, and Myers’ “Late Night” had its top audience in that demo since January.

  • With “Everybody Scream,” It’s Clear that Florence + the Machine Isn’t Done With the World of Dance Fever

It’s been three years since Florence + the Machine released arguably her best album to date, Dance Fever. In that time, she embarked on the Dance Fever Tour (from 2022 to 2023), which, well before Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, seemed to further forge the unbreakable and, that’s right, feverish bond shared between her and her fans. With the first single from her new era, “Everybody Scream,” it almost feels as though she’s responding to that intense period in much the same way Swift is also about to with The Life of a Showgirl. And yes, it’s only too appropriate that Welch and Swift recorded and released a song together (“Florida!!!”) while both were in the thick of their respective tours.

With Welch seeking to capture the feeling she gets while onstage (and lighting it up, as it were), the theme of “Everybody Scream” draws easy comparisons to “Morning Elvis,” the fourteenth and final track on the standard edition of Dance Fever. Throughout the song, Welch touts the stage as her simultaneous bane and salvation—though mostly the latter. Or, as she phrases it on “Morning Elvis,” “And if I make it to the stage/I’ll show you what it means/To be saved.” As for the “if” part, the song refers to a time in her life when she was often too drunk or hungover to do much of anything, let alone make it to Graceland, where she had planned to visit “the King’s” home circa 2012 during the Ceremonials Tour. But, considering Presley’s own substance abuse issues, Welch isn’t wrong when she says, “I never got to see Elvis/I just sweated it out in a hotel room/But I think the king woulda understood/Why I never made it to Graceland.” Undoubtedly.

However, unlike Elvis, Welch managed to get herself together long enough to become sober, understanding that it was ultimately doing more harm than good not only to her creativity, but to her ability to perform. The thing she so clearly loves most in the world. And yet, as she told The New York Times, “I thought the way to hang onto your rock n’ roll roots was to be the drunkest person in the room.” That “philosophy” clearly no longer being the dominant belief in her life. Instead, it’s as though a combination of witchcraft and performing has replaced her erstwhile drinking compulsion. Granted, Welch was always a “witchy woman,” but it’s a “shtick” that’s most definitely ramped up since the release of Dance Fever (even giving Stevie Nicks a run for her strega money). The album inspired by a tincture of the Covid lockdowns and early modern Europe—specifically, the choreomania phenomenon of that period. Within the context of confinement, it was the idea of being able to dance and sing and generally make merriment again within a communal setting that sparked the broader Dance Fever concept. For, although she had once yearned for her tours to be over so that she could take a break, the advent of the pandemic lockdowns and restrictions led to the verse in “Morning Elvis” that goes,  “And after every tour, I swear I’ll quit [Madonna, too, has said the same thing before]/It’s over, boys, now this is it/But the call, it always comes/And the songs like children beggin’ to be born/But, oh, I guess I got my wish/But anything, anything, anything but this.”

The “this” was an inability to perform in public for what amounted to two years. So it was that, like many musicians during Covid, Welch spent her time crafting and plotting the next album, to be released at a time when everyone could “commingle” again. And oh, how she and her fans did just that on the Dance Fever Tour. This period being an undeniable inspiration to the opening verse of “Everybody Scream”: “Get on the stage, and I call her by her first name/Try to stay away, but I always meet her back at this place/She gives me everything, I feel no pain/I break down, get up and do it all again/Because it’s never enough, and she makes me feel loved.” The “she” in question represents not only the “muse” that keeps “forcing” her to feel inspired, but also, one might say, the “Goddess of Performing” (or maybe just the Goddess of Dance, Terpsichore). A fellow witch that keeps enchanting Welch, enticing her back to the stage. Where the spotlight burns hot with seduction. Not just because “here, I don’t have to be quiet/Here, I don’t have to be kind/Extraordinary and normal all at the same time,” but because it is a place where she most truly feels alive and among “her people.” The same goes for Florence + the Machine fans when they’re in attendance at one of her shows. Only too happy to oblige Welch when she commands, “Everybody dance!/Everybody sing!/Everybody move!/Everybody scream!”

So no, Welch isn’t being a “braggart” when she flexes, “I’ll make you sing for me, I’ll make you scream.” And from the instant that the whimsical sound of “Everybody Scream” begins, complete with Welch’s pythoness-esque vocalizing, it’s apparent that this is a song that very much still exists in the world of Dance Fever.

This includes working once again with director Autumn de Wilde, who Welch began collaborating with back in 2018 (via the video for “Big God”), as well as choreographer Ryan Heffington (who worked on the choreo for Dance Fever’s “King,” “My Love,” “Free” and “Heaven is Here”). However, this time around, Welch is branching out in terms of who she’s co-producing with. That is to say, not Jack Antonoff or Dave Bayley. At least, if the co-producers of “Everybody Scream” are anything to go by: Mark Bowen (of Idles), who also co-wrote the track (along with, incidentally, Mitski), James Ford (perhaps now most known as being part of Last Shadow Puppets) and Aaron Dessner (of The National, but perhaps now most known for co-producing Taylor Swift songs).

As for some of the “dual meanings” of the song, it can be argued that although, in the same way that Miley Cyrus’ “End of the World” isn’t really about the imminent apocalypse that keeps revealing signs of itself every day, just because Florence + the Machine’s “Everybody Scream” isn’t about the only thing left that seems like a viable (and affordable) coping mechanism doesn’t mean it can’t still be interpreted that way. Hence, the image of Welch screaming into a hole that’s been dug into the ground of some rural setting (one of the clips she teased before releasing the video) holding so much weight for non-performers and performers alike. After all, how else is one supposed to deal with living in this ever-maddening, ever-decaying world?

For Welch, it seems, the best way to do so isn’t just performing onstage for her fans or screaming into a hole, but also wandering through the (Yorkshire) countryside in a bright red dress (the kind of red that can be described as “devil red”) with some fellow “witches” screaming as they flank her. This giving plenty of Dance Fever (read: medieval) energy. As a matter of fact, the overarching sense of women instilling “fear” in others by expressing themselves freely (particularly through dance) is one of the core concepts behind the record, repeated again in “Everybody Scream.”

In a Universal Music press release for Dance Fever, it was stated, “The image and concept of dance, and choreomania, remained central as Florence wove her own experiences of dance—a discipline she turned to in the early days of sobriety—with the folkloric elements of a moral panic from the Middle Ages. In recent times of torpor and confinement, dance offered propulsion, energy and a way of looking at music more choreographically.” The same elements are at play in “Everybody Scream” (therefore, likely the eponymous album itself). Not just the sound and lyrics, but especially the accompanying visual, during which Welch essentially takes over a room, spellbinding those in her orbit as she dances on a table and watches them all become “possessed” by some unseen force (hint: it’s the power of her performance…and the generally free feeling of being in a “safe space”).

And so, once again Welch is turning to notions of choreomania as related to “moral panic” in the period just after the Middle Ages and at the dawn of the Renaissance. Except that, this time around, the continued exploration of these themes arrives at a time when the wielding of moral panic (a.k.a. satanic panic) by a certain Orange Creature (a devil in his own right) for purposes related to constantly securing “the Christian vote” is only too resonant (and the reason why people need all “the witchcraft, the medicine, the spells and the injections” they can get). As is the fact that Florence + the Machine is releasing Everybody Scream on Halloween (ergo, filming part of the video at the spooky Wythenshawe Hall in Manchester), the time of year when the divide between the realms that separate the living from the dead is meant to weaken.

However, if the dead should deign to enter the realm of the living this year, they might be hard-pressed to find the difference between that ilk and themselves. Save for the precious few “rambunctious” types, like Welch, who still remember what it is to be alive.

  • Taylor Swift Uses Pat McGrath And You Should Too

Taylor Swift Uses Pat McGrath And You Should Too

We hail Taylor Swift for many things: her innate musical ability, her consistent chart-topping albums, her drive. And her personal life is something we’ve all been invested in for years, whether it’s her boyfriend Travis Kelce or even her private jet usage, people are obsessed with Swift.

And while the Eras Tour is all the rage right now, selling out in seconds and causing a outright siege on Ticketmaster, I’m not paying attention to surprise songs…or the teasing of the reputation (Taylor’s Version) re-release…I’m fully focused on Taylor Swift’s makeup.

You see, the woman has performed in rain, in the heat of the summer, dancing and charming, and belting out songs for hours upon hours…and her makeup doesn’t move. There’s not a single photo with Taylor’s mascara running down her face, her blush is still intact, it’s actually an anomaly.

Taylor Swift’s makeup routine may be one of the most sought-after recipes in the world. Why can’t we keep our faces in flawless condition, ready for any event or natural disaster that comes our way? It seems unfair.

Well, for one, we don’t have makeup artists and a team of stylists curating the best routine for our faces and skin tones. But, we can take a note from the artists and see what products they use.

Look, I’m not performing for hours on a stage for tens of thousands, but I am going out and sweating my makeup off night after night. And heaven forbid it rains. So, I need to prepare my makeup just like I’m on tour. It’s the only way.

Okay, I’ve done my research and I’m willing to share. If you want Taylor Swift’s makeup routine, here are the go-to Taylor Swift makeup products you need:

The Secret? It’s All Pat McGrath

Pat McGrath is similar to Patrick Ta: both celebrity makeup artists-turned-beauty-brand-gurus who make incredibly viral makeup. There’s a reason they’re two of the most in-demand names in the beauty industry right now.

Tons of celebrities are often seen wearing Pat McGrath thanks to its second skin-like finish and long-lasting wear. Fans have been asking for years for Taylor Swift’s routine, and while it’s never fully been confirmed…we have an idea thanks to some internet sleuths unearthing a number of hints.

Swift collaborated with legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath for the “Bejeweled” music video from her album, Midnights, where McGrath herself even makes a cameo. Not only that, but fans have figured out she’s a regular McGrath fan thanks to the likes of Deuxmoi.

Taylor Swift’s makeup routineDeuxmoi via Instagram

So, it’s safe to say that Taylor is exclusively using Pat McGrath makeup products. It makes sense, considering they’re luxurious, premium quality, and highly celebrated by makeup artists.

And while Pat McGrath may be on the pricier end of Sephora products, it’s well worth the money. When shopping for makeup, I use Girl Math. Sure, foundation can sometimes cost upwards of $50…but that’s $50 for six months of wear…or $10 per month! So cheap.

Now that we know the brand and some of the products that Taylor’s rumored to enjoy. Here are a few:

Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLUST: Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick

We’re all aware that Taylor opts for a bold red lip, it’s kind of her signature. But don’t be afraid to try the other shades in this collection. While LiquiLUST: Legendary Wear Matte is very Taylor, it’s also great to layer with a gloss.

Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Foundation

Pricey, but well worth it. The Sublime Perfection Foundation sets in like a second skin while covering any imperfections or discoloration that you may have. It gives a subtle glow that we all love while remaining full coverage. Plus, it stays on the skin forever.

Pat McGrath Labs PERMA PRECISION Liquid Eyeliner

One of Taylor’s lyrics is literally “dry the cat eye sharp enough to kill a man” so you know when it comes to eyeliner Taylor doesn’t play. Pat McGrath Labs’ PERMA PRECISION liner is silky smooth to use and glides effortlessly over any lid…giving you an easy wing in no time.

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Highlighter & Balm Duo

What I love about the Skin Fetish Highlighter is that they’re easy to keep in your purse for on-the-go fixes. They pack a major punch when it comes to shine, and you can put it anywhere on your face, including your eyelids for a subtle glimmer look.

Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection Setting Powder and Primer

While I’m personally not a fan of primer in general, I can’t discount Taylor’s makeup regmen. It endures. It stays on her face through anything, so it’s got to be working. Plus, when you pair the same foundation, setting powder, and primer, it’s going to look cohesive.

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership VII Eyeshadow Palette- Divine Rose

I’ve spoken volumes about this palette. While it may be on the more expensive side, it’s definitely worth your money. First of all, consider how often you’re buying eyeshadow. Palettes last a long time, and this highly pigmented one is packed with color.

It’s buildable, blendable, and easy for beginners to use. Plus, the rose shades are amazing.

Taylor Swift’s alleged stalker ‘detained’ before her Eras Tour concert in Germany

Taylor Swift is making headlines as the singer rocks the stage with her sensational performance during her Eras Tour concert in Germany on July 18. According to a recent report by Deadline, before her show and her performance at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, police “detained a U.S. man” suspected of stalking her. The report further mentioned that the man was allegedly making threats against her and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on social media.

The outlet noted that the man was trying to attend her concert in Gelsenkirchen, and he had a ticket. However, he was taken into custody at the entry control point before the concert on Wednesday. The event organizers alerted the authorities about the suspected stalker’s troubling behavior online.

As per Marca, the police stated, “As the first investigations could not completely rule out that he presented a danger, the suspect was identified and detained at the access control before the concert.”

Taylor Swift says her iconic Eras Tour has become her ‘entire life’

In June 2024, Taylor Swift announced during her Eras Tour show in Liverpool, England, that her iconic tour would end in December 2024. As per EW, during the show, Swift told the audience that celebrating her 100th show means she’s finally accepting that “this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is gonna end in December. Like, that’s it.”

The singer further mentioned that the Eras Tour has become her “entire life,” and she doesn’t remember her old hobbies, noting “All I do when I’m not on stage is just like sit at home and try to think of some clever acoustic song mashups and thinking about what you might like to hear.”

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has seven shows planned in Germany over the next two weeks, with performances in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, and Munich.

  • All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Played On The Eras Tour So Far

All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Played On The Eras Tour So Far

Over a year into Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, she has found ways to keep the show fresh and new for those who have been waiting since she opened in Phoenix, Arizona in March 2023 to see her. Since the tour began in the United States last year, Swift has released two rerecorded albums — Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in addition to a brand-new double album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Right as she picked the tour back up in 2024, she flew from Tokyo, Japan to Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada (where she had previously performed) to watch her beau Travis Kelce and his NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl.

Every show on the Eras Tour involves an acoustic set where Swift performs at least two songs custom to that night’s show. At first, she wouldn’t allow herself repeats unless she messed up the lyrics to a song, but now, she has done away with that rule and gotten more creative by combining songs in mashups and playing up to four in a segment. The first song or three take place on guitar, and then she shifts to piano for the second half before diving beneath the stage to resume the setlist – which has since contracted and expanded to include a Tortured Poets Department era and set.

Below you’ll find Taylor Swift’s surprise songs that she has played most recently in Europe as well as a record of all those she has played on the entire tour so far.

If you think you missed your shot at snagging Taylor Swift tickets, think again. There are still a bunch of The Eras Tour dates left before the tour ends in December, and some won’t cost you an arm and a leg like you’d expect. In fact, I scoured multiple ticket resale sites to compare seat prices for every remaining show in the tour. So if you’re scrambling to find cheap Taylor Swift tickets, you’ve come to the right place.

The Eras Tour is Swift’s sixth headlining concert tour. It all started with the Fearless Tour in 2009 and 2010, then the Speak Now World Tour in 2011 and 2012, followed by The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014. After that came the 1989 World Tour in 2015 and the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018. Fans have been waiting for Swift’s return to the concert stage for several years, especially since she was supposed to put on her sixth concert tour, Lover Fest, in 2020. The tour, however, was postponed and ultimately canceled in February 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Luckily for Swifties around the world, news of The Eras Tour came out in November 2022. The tour, which was announced less than two weeks after the release of her second most recent album, Midnights, is a “journey through the musical eras” of Swift’s past 11 albums: 2006’s Taylor Swift, 2008’s Fearless, 2010’s Speak Now, 2012’s Red, 2014’s 1989, 2017’s Reputation, 2019’s Lover, 2020’s Folklore and Evermore, 2022’s Midnights, and 2024’s Tortured Poets Department. Concertgoers are in for a treat, because The Eras Tour is the first time Swift has performed songs from all five of her past albums. You can expect to get serenaded for over three hours, as Swift performs 46 songs (this includes two surprise songs).

The Eras Tour includes 152 shows across five different continents. It kicked off on March 17, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona and will make its final stop on December 8, 2024 in Vancouver, Canada. Even more impressive than 152 shows? The Eras Tour became the first tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue, crowning it as the highest-grossing tour ever, according to Pollstar’s 2023 year-end chart.

So where can fans buy cheap Taylor Swift tickets to The Eras Tour? We’ve spent hours scouring the web to find the most affordable stops on the tour. Plus, we’ve got a special discount code so you can get your seats for even less.

  • Why Is Dave Grohl Beefing With Taylor Swift?

Why Is Dave Grohl Beefing With Taylor Swift?

Photo: Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Foo Fighters

Celeb feuds! They can be iconic, they can be profitable, they can be worked out in the remix. Dave Grohl seemingly tried to start a new feud ex nihilo with Taylor Swift, but she isn’t afraid of a little bad blood. Here’s how Swift reminded Grohl that she also has a band that plays live.

June 22, 2024: Both Swift and Grohl were playing London Sunday — Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium (capacity 90,000) and Grohl with the Foo Fighters at London Stadium (capacity 80,000). Onstage, Grohl said, “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.” In service of not suffering her wrath, Grohl then said the Foo Fighters call this current tour the Errors Tour. “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple,” he said. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ’n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place.” So just to recap: The Foo Fighters don’t want Swift’s wrath, but they do want to imply that she’s not performing live. Great, good. A well-argued, structurally sound piece of rhetoric.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX is calling off her fans’ chants of “Taylor is dead!” at her shows. “Can the people who do this please stop. online or at my shows,” she wrote on IG Stories. “It is the opposite of what i want and it disturbs me that anyone would think there is room for this in the community. i will not tolerate it.” Someone really smart and wise said, “It’s just self-defense until you’re building a weapon,” and someone else really smart and wise internalized that lesson!

June 23, 2024: Just like clockwork, Taylor Swift gives a shout-out to her band and dancers during every show, but on Sunday she made sure to add some emphasis. During the Folkmore (Folklore, Evermore, you get it) section, Swift gave a pointed shout-out to the accusations made by Grohl: “Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band who’s gonna be playing live for you for 3.5 hours tonight, they deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it.” Is this the perfect set-up for a Reputation re-release?

  • Here’s What Taylor Swift Changed For The European Leg Of The Eras Tour

Here’s What Taylor Swift Changed For The European Leg Of The Eras Tour

If you’re a diehard Swiftie like us, your immediate reaction to learning the title of ‘Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?’ was probably “me, Taylor.” Which is totally understandable! We’ve been following along with the Eras Tour for over a year and she still finds new ways to surprise us. And the European leg is like a new show entirely, now that we have The Tortured Poets Department in our lives.

Let’s take a look at what changed throughout the show and its setlist, one era at a time! These changes are accurate as of the first night in Paris on May 9th, 2024.

    Pre-Show Playlist

First off, the changes started before Taylor even took the stage! Taylor added three new songs to the playlist that echoes throughout the venue before she goes on.

    The Intro

The nostalgic Eras Tour intro includes Taylor saying the name of each era, so naturally, she had to add in The Tortured Poets Department! Listen closely and you’ll hear her say the album name between the 1989 quote and Red album title.

    Lover

At the first show in Paris, Taylor unveiled a new orange and magenta bodysuit with matching boots! Not much changed throughout this set, but we did lose ‘The Archer.’ We thank her for her service! The closing song is now ‘Lover’ with an extended outro.

    Fearless

Thankfully, since the Fearless set is only three songs, Taylor didn’t rearrange anything! Again at the first Paris show, she revealed a new black, silver, and gold fringe dress that we think pays homage to the iconic fringe dress she wore on the 2009 Fearless Tour. We’re not crying, there’s just something sparkly in our eye.

    Red

The first major change of the show is that the Red set is now the third era in line, instead of evermore! The setlist remained the same aside from the switch in its placement. We also got a new ‘22’ shirt saying “this isn’t Taylor’s Version,” which we’ll need for when we’re out in public and mumble under our breaths about how a store is playing the wrong version of her music.

    Speak Now

Taylor really brought us back to the Speak Now World Tour with the refreshed version of the Speak Now set! Unfortunately, we’re back to it being only one song, but we can’t complain too much because we adore ‘Enchanted.’ Before Taylor takes the stage, the screens show updated visuals with stunning flowers, and the dancers come out to keep the crowd entertained.

    reputation

At the opening night of the European leg in Paris, Taylor had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever and give every era a new costume except reputation. And she did it! Nothing changed during this set – not even the red and black snake bodysuit – so all you fellow rep stans out there are safe.

    folklore & evermore

The sets with the most change are folklore and evermore, which have been combined! But we did lose the ‘seven’ spoken interlude as a result. As Taylor explained it in Paris, she “reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter.” Even the new Paris costume combined the eras, giving us the folklore style with a golden yellow color like the evermore dress. We think it makes perfect sense and we love getting to hear them together. Some sacrifices, though: ‘tis the damn season,’ ‘tolerate it,’ ‘invisible string’-slash-’the 1,’ and ‘the last great american dynasty.’

Check out the setlist for this section below:

    • ‘cardigan’ (sitting on the cabin where she sang ‘invisible string’ and ‘the 1’)
    • ‘betty’
    • ‘champagne problems’
    • ‘august’ x ‘illicit affairs’
    • ‘my tears ricochet’
    • ‘marjorie’
    • ‘willow’

After ‘willow,’ Taylor disappears into the stage to get ready for the next era.

    1989

The visuals between everlore/folkmore and 1989 have the same concept as the folklore1989 transition from the first leg, but they go from a mountain scene to a bright city rather than centering around the folklore cabin. No setlist changes here, though we got a new costume combination! Taylor wore a glittery pink top with a blue skirt in Paris, complete with one pink boot and one blue boot. It honestly reminds us of the mix-and-match jackets and skirts she wore on the original 1989 Tour, and we’re so excited to see what combos she wears in the future.

For the first time ever, Taylor leaves the stage after the 1989 set instead of staying on for surprise songs!

    The Tortured Poets Department

Welcome to the Eras Tour setlist, TTPD! We had our fingers crossed for you and you so delivered. The set starts with a screen visual that draws from the ‘Fortnight’ music video, complete with a road, cages, and even papers falling from the sky. There’s also a little snippet where she sings the “oh, oh, oh” from the chorus of ‘My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys.’

Taylor described the album as “Female Rage: The Musical” in Paris, so it’s no surprise that this section is really theatrical. There’s even a skit before ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ where she collapses on the floor, then has to get all dressed up in a new outfit to put on a show. And keep an eye on the visuals during ‘ICDIWABH,’ because there are nods to songs like ‘Peter.’

    • ‘But Daddy I Love Him’
    • ‘So High School’
    • ‘Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?’ (with a moving platform!)
    • ‘Down Bad’
    • ‘Fortnight’
    • ‘The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived’
    • ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’

    Surprise Songs

Surprise Song O’Clock got a little facelift in Paris with a new, all-pink dress, but it’s the same instruments and chaos as always! Paris Night 1 got ‘Paris’ on guitar, fittingly, and ‘loml’ on piano. Be sure to stay tuned and keep up with what pairings she gives us!

    Midnights

We’re so excited that Midnights can still be the closing set of the Eras Tour! The setlist stayed the same, though Paris got a new blue bodysuit with cutouts. We couldn’t think of a better ending for the show, especially with this ‘Karma’ lyric:

“Ask me what I’ve learned from all those years
Ask me what I’ve earned from all those tears
Ask me why so many fade but I’m still here…”

What do you think of the new Eras Tour setlist? Did she cut any of your fave songs? Let us know in the comments below or hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!

Fans are following Taylor Swift to Europe after finding Eras Tour tickets less costly there

Thousands of ride-or-die Taylor Swift fans who missed out on her U.S. concert tour last year or didn’t want to buy exorbitantly priced tickets to see her again found an out-of-the-way solution: Fly to Europe.Video above: Taylor Swift’s elementary school teachers “beyond proud” of her successThe pop star is scheduled to kick off the 18-city Europe leg of her record-setting Eras Tour in Paris on Thursday, and planeloads of Swifties plan to follow Miss Americana across the pond in the coming weeks. The arena where Swift is appearing said Americans bought 20% of the tickets for her four sold-out shows. Stockholm, the tour’s next stop, expects about 10,000 concertgoers from the U.S.A concert might sound like an odd raison d’etre for visiting a foreign country, especially when fans can watch the Eras Tour from home via the documentary now streaming on Disney+. Yet online travel company Expedia says continent-hopping by Swift’s devotees is part of a larger trend it dubbed “tour tourism” while observing a pattern that emerged during Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour. Some North American fans who plan to fly overseas for the Eras Tour said they justified the expense after noticing that tighter restrictions on ticket fees and resales in Europe made seeing Swift perform abroad no more costly — and potentially cheaper — than catching her closer to home.”They said, ‘Wait a minute, I can either spend $1,500 to go see my favorite artist in Miami, or I can take that $1,500 and buy a concert ticket, a round-trip plane ticket, and three nights in a hotel room,” Melanie Fish, an Expedia spokesperson and travel expert, said. That was the experience of Jennifer Warren, 43, who lives in St. Catharines, a city in the Niagara region of Ontario. She and her 11-year-old son love Swift but had no luck scoring what she considered as decently priced tickets in the U.S. Undeterred, Warren and her husband decided to plan a European vacation around wherever she managed to get seats. It turned out to be Hamburg, Germany.”You get out, you get to see the world, and you get to see your favorite artist or performer at the same time, so there are a lot of wins to it,” said Warren, who works as the director of research and innovation for a mutual insurance company. The three VIP tickets she secured close to the stage — “I would call it brute-force dumb luck” — cost 600 euros ($646) each. Swift subsequently announced six November tour dates in Toronto, within driving distance of Warren’s home. “Absolute nose-bleed seats” already are going for 3,000 Canadian dollars ($2,194) on secondary resale sites like Viagogo, Warren said.Tour tourism: Is it really a thing? Hard-core fans trailing their favorite singer or band on tour is not a new phenomenon. “Groupie” emerged in the late 1960s as a somewhat derogatory word for the ardent followers of rock bands. Deadheads took to the road in the 1970s to pursue the Grateful Dead from city to city.More recently, music festivals like California’s Coachella and England’s Glastonbury, and concert residencies in Las Vegas by the likes of Elton John, Lady Gaga and Adele, have attracted travelers to places they wouldn’t otherwise visit, Fish noted.Travel and entertainment analysts have also spoken of a pent-up consumer demand for “experiences” over material objects since the coronavirus pandemic. Some think the willingness of music lovers to broaden their fandom horizons is part of the same mass cultural correction.”It does seem like it’s more than a structural shift, maybe a personality transformation we all went through,” said Natalia Lechmanova, the chief Europe economist for the Mastercard Economics Institute. As Swift hopscotches across Europe, Lechmanova expects restaurants and hotels to see the same boost that Mastercard observed within a 2.5-mile radius of concert venues in the U.S. cities she visited in 2023. The U.S. dollar’s strong value against the euro may also increase retail spending on apparel, memorabilia, beauty products and supplies for the friendship bracelets fans exchange as part of the Eras Tour experience, the economist said.Former college roommates Lizzy Hale, 34, who lives in Los Angeles, and Mitch Goulding, 33, who lives in Austin, Texas, already had tickets to see the Eras Tour in L.A. last summer when they decided to try to get ones for Paris, London or Edinburgh, Scotland, too. They saw a Europe concert trip as a makeup for travel plans they had in May 2020 to celebrate Goulding’s birthday but had to cancel due to the pandemic.Goulding managed to secure VIP tickets for one of Swift’s three Stockholm shows. He, Hale and two other friends scheduled a 10-day trip that also includes time in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.”As people who enjoy traveling and enjoy music, if you can find an opportunity to combine the two, it’s really special,” said Hale, who is pregnant with her first child. For Stockholm, 120,000 Swifties can’t be wrong The local economic impact of what the zeitgeist has termed “Swiftonomics” and the “Swift lift” can be considerable. Airbnb reported Tuesday that searches on its platform for the U.K. cities where Swift is performing in June and August — Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London — increased an average of 337% when tickets went on sale last summer. Not to be outdone when it comes to trend-spotting, the property rentals company cited the demand as an example of “passion tourism,” or travel “driven by concerts, sports and other cultural events.”In Stockholm, 120,000 out-of-towners from 130 countries — among them 10,000 from the U.S. — are expected to swarm Sweden’s capital this month, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Chief Economist Carl Bergqvist said. Stockholm is the only Scandinavian city on Swift’s tour, and airlines added extra flights from nearby Denmark, Finland and Norway to bring people to the May 17-19 shows, he said. The city’s 40,000 hotel rooms are sold out even though prices skyrocketed for the tour dates, Bergqvist said. Concert visitors are expected to pump around 500 million Swedish kroner, or over $46 million, into the local economy over the course of their stays, an estimate that does not include what they paid for Swift tickets or to get to Sweden, he said.”So this is going to be huge for the tourism sector in Sweden and Stockholm in particular,” Bergqvist said.Nightclubs, restaurants and bars are seizing the opportunity to cater to fans with Taylor Swift-themed events, such as karaoke, quizzes and after-concert dance parties.Houston resident Caroline Matlock, 29, saw Swift more than a year ago when the Eras Tour came to the Texas city. Now she’s making more friendship bracelets and trying to learn a few words of Swedish as she prepares to see the 3 1/2-hour show in Stockholm. The idea of seeing Swift in Europe was her friend’s, and Matlock needed some persuading at first.”I was like, ‘I only want to go if it’s a country I haven’t been to. I’ve seen Taylor Swift,’” she said.Visiting the Scandinavian cities of Oslo and Gothenburg is on their itinerary. The concert is the last night of the trip and Matlock looks forward to interacting with Swifties from other countries: “Americans tend to have a very obsessive culture, especially Taylor Swift-related, so I’m curious if the crowd will be more toned-down.”Will tour tourism endure after eras? It remains to be seen if the music tourism trend has legs as long and strong as Swift’s and Beyoncé’s, and if it will carry over to Billie Eilish, Usher and other artists with world tours scheduled next year. Expedia’s Fish thinks other big-name artists in Europe this summer will prove that booking a foreign trip around a concert is catching on.Kat Morga, a travel consultant based in Nashville, isn’t so sure. Morga saw Swift perform in Nashville last year and helped two clients with school-aged children book European family vacations this summer that include seeing Swift in concert. But she thinks the difficulty of navigating ticket purchases through language barriers, currency conversions, international banking regulations and the risk of cancellations will limit the appeal of regular gig getaways.”I think this is an anomaly,” Morga said. “People aren’t typically going to build their $20,000 huge family vacation only because Taylor Swift is there. She’s the one-off. She’s special.”Booking Holdings CEO Glenn Fogel, whose company operates Booking.com, priceline.com, agoda.com, Kayak and OpenTable, is even less enthusiastic about concert tours as a tourism instigator. The Swift Effect causes a “little blip” when the superstar goes to smaller destinations, but for the worldwide travel industry, “one star touring around does not make a difference,” he said.”It may just shift it a little bit. A person was going to go to the Caribbean for a week vacation. Instead that person (says), ‘Let’s travel to the Taylor Swift thing,’” Fogel said. “It doesn’t increase it. It just moves it from here to there.”___AP journalists Colleen Barry in Milan, Chisato Tanaka in Stockholm, Anne D’Innocenzio in New York, David Koenig in Dallas, Thomas Adamson in Paris and Brian Melley in London contributed reporting.

Taylor Swift Abolishes ‘No Repeats’ Rule for Surprise Songs

This doesn’t bode well for “Macavity.”

When Taylor Swift first launched her Eras Tour, she told the crowd that her plan for each night’s acoustic surprise set was to “play different songs every single night and never repeat one.” With time, amendments came. For example, if she messed up in some way the first time around, she gave herself permission to repeat it to get it right. Now, with only a few songs left standing, she’s ditching the rule altogether. During her concert in Melbourne on February 18, she told the crowd, “This is sort of like a public service announcement…I’ve been thinking, I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward. I don’t wanna limit anything and say, ‘Oh, if I’ve played a song before I can’t play it again.’ So from now on, I don’t wanna take any paint colors out of the paint box of colors…I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it, and I wanna be able to make changes to songs.” So far, it looks like “changes” means mashups — with Swift treating fans in Melbourne to a mashup of “Getaway Car,” “August,” and “The Other Side of the Door” for one of their surprise songs. With mashups on the table, our possibilities moving forward are endless. Baby, let the games begin.

Super Bowl: Taylor Swift cheers as she watches Travis Kelce and Chiefs play 49ers

LAS VEGAS — Taylor Swift has made it to the Super Bowl. Over an hour before kickoff, Swift was spotted speaking with Philadelphia Eagles’ center Jason Kelce and later, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in a private box at Allegiant Stadium.

Swift completed her epic trip from the Tokyo Dome to Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl on Sunday, walking through security along with friends Blake Lively, Ice Spice and her mom, Andrea Swift, to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers.

Super Bowl LVIII live updates: San Francisco 49ers lead Chiefs 10-3 at halftime

The 14-time Grammy-winner, who has been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce since the first few weeks of the NFL season, flew across nine time zones and the international date line from her Eras Tour to arrive about two hours before kickoff.

In the middle of Post Malone’s performance of “America the Beautiful,” cameras cut to Swift and Lively holding each other and enjoying the performance. She danced when the Chiefs won the coin toss.

Swift walked in wearing a black outfit with a red jacket slung over her shoulder, apparently getting the memo from Kelce and many of the Chiefs. He wore a shimmering black suit, quarterback Patrick Mahomes wore a sharp black suit of his own, and even Chiefs coach Andy Reid wore a black blazer as the Chiefs leaned into the villain role in which they have been cast.

There has been plenty of Taylor Swift on the big screens of Allegiant Stadium, and during the last timeout, cameras caught her in a race to chug what appeared to be a beer in her suite.

Swift was the first to finish, and she triumphantly slammed the cup down as the video cut away to other fans. But not before an appreciative roar rippled through the stadium.

If only the Chiefs were able to move the ball as successfully as she downed her drink. Their offense has gone nowhere in the first half of their Super Bowl showdown with the 49ers.

“Anti-Hero” also happens to be the lead single from Swift’s Grammy-winning album, “Midnights.”

“She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books herself,” Kelce said after the Grammys last Sunday. “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with hardware, too.”

Swift wrapped up the last of four shows in Japan on Saturday night, then hopped a private plane at Haneda Airport for a flight across the Pacific Ocean. She landed in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon – the time change worked in her favor – before Swift headed on to Las Vegas, where so many high-rollers had arrived that parking for private planes was entirely booked up.

Swift began dating Kelce after he said on his “New Heights” podcast that he had tried and failed to give her a friendship bracelet during her performance at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce then invited her to watch him perform at the home of the Chiefs, and she surprisingly showed up for their Week 2 game against Chicago.

Swift soon became a regular at games, both home and away, frequently sitting with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Swift occasionally brought along friends, including Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

“Having Taylor as a new Chiefs fan is very unique,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told a small group of reporters. “I don’t ever do an interview without someone asking me about it. I think a lot of players and coaches on the team are in the same boat. The most important thing is we’re happy for the two of them that they have found each other and have such a special relationship.”

There was plenty of star power besides Swift for the NFL’s marquee night. Usher is performing the halftime show, and was rumored to have several guests planned, while Post Malone and Reba McEntire performed before the game.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Can Taylor Swift make it to the 2024 Super Bowl from Tokyo to watch Travis Kelce?

Few were to be under a brighter spotlight than Swift, though. Her dash from the Tokyo Dome, where she promised fans that “we’re all gonna go on a great adventure,” had Swifties around the world watching online flight trackers, while her boyfriend seemed to get as many questions about his relationship as the game during the run-up to kickoff.

Asked to explain the intense interest, Kelce replied: “I think the values we stand for and just who we are as people – we love to shine light on others, shine light on the people that help and support us, and on top of that, I think we both just love life.”

Kelce and Swift won’t have a whole lot of time together, regardless of how the game plays out.

After winning a record-breaking fourth album of the year award at the Grammys for “Midnights,” announcing her next album will drop in April and attending the Super Bowl, Swift is due back across the Pacific later this week. The international leg of her Eras Tour resumes Friday night with the first of three shows at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

“This week is truly the best kind of chaos,” she posted Wednesday on Instagram.

Kelce and Swift won’t have a whole lot of time together, regardless of how the game plays out.

Taylor Swift reaches LAX in journey from Tokyo to Super Bowl, online sleuths say

LOS ANGELES — On social media, fans of Taylor Swift and aviation journalists believe they’ve identified Swift’s private jet, labeled “The Football Era.” It arrived from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Los Angeles’ LAX airport just after 3:30 p.m. local time.

Her transportation plans onward to Las Vegas, where her boyfriend, NFL star tight end Travis Kelce, will play in Sunday’s Super Bowl, have yet to be revealed.

Representatives for Swift and VistaJet, the world’s only global private aviation company, did not immediately respond to AP’s request for comment.

Swift’s last song was still ringing in the ears of thousands of fans at the Tokyo Dome on Saturday night when the singer rushed to a private jet at Haneda airport, presumably embarking on an intensely scrutinized journey to see Kelce.

“We’re all gonna go on a great adventure,” Swift told the crowd earlier. She was speaking of the music, but it might also describe her race against time, which was to cross nine time zones and the international date line.

With a final bow at the end of her sold-out show, clad in a blue sequined outfit, the crowd screaming, strobe lights pulsing, confetti falling, Swift disappeared beneath the stage and her journey to the other side of the world began.

Her expected trip to see Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas has fired imaginations, and speculation, for weeks.

“I hope she can return in time. It’s so romantic,” said office worker Hitomi Takahashi, 29, who bought matching Taylor Swift sweatshirts with her friend and was taking photos just outside the Tokyo Dome.

About an hour after the end of the concert, AP journalists were near Haneda’s private jet area when minivans drove up and someone went inside the gate area, as four to five people carrying large black umbrellas obstructed the view of the person.

At Saturday night’s concert, there was plenty of evidence of the unique cultural phenomenon that is the Swift-Kelce relationship, a nexus of professional football and the huge star power of Swift. In addition to people wearing sequined dresses celebrating Swift, there were Kelce jerseys and hats and other Chiefs gear.

Some spent thousands of dollars to attend the pop superstar’s concerts this week.

“Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone,” Swift sang.

She won’t find that Sunday in Las Vegas when a sold-out crowd, not to mention millions around the world, will be watching her.

To call the worldwide scrutiny of Swift’s travels intense is an understatement.

Fans have tracked her jet. The planet-warming carbon emissions of her globe-trotting travels have been criticized. Officials have weighed in on her ability to park her jet at Las Vegas airports.

Even Japanese diplomats have gotten into the act. The Japanese Embassy in Washington posted on social media that she could make the Super Bowl in time, including in their statement three Swift song titles – “Speak Now”, “Fearless” and “Red.”

“If she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” it said.

Takahashi, the fan at the Tokyo Dome, was aware of the criticism Swift has faced about her private jets but said the singer was being singled out unfairly.

“Many other people are flying on business, and she is here for her work. She faces a bashing because she is famous and stands out,” Takahashi said.

Swift has been crisscrossing the globe this week already.

Before coming to Asia, she attended the Grammys in Los Angeles, winning her 14th Grammy and a record-breaking fourth Album of the Year award for “Midnights.” The show was watched by nearly 17 million people. She also made a surprise announcement that her next album is ready to drop in April.

Then the four concerts in Tokyo, and now the trip back to the States. She has followed Kelce for much of the Chiefs’ season.

Swift is expected to fly to Australia later this week to continue her tour.

“This week is truly the best kind of chaos,” she posted Wednesday on Instagram.

Tay was accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album when she shocked everyone with the news. In fan-captured footage from her Wednesday Eras Tour stop in Tokyo, the 34-year-old explained she actually planned on making the surprise announcement IN Tokyo… But at the awards ceremony, she decided — if she got on stage — she’d do it then and there:

“I had this plan in my head, and I told my friends — I told Jack [Antonoff], but I hadn’t really told many other people. I thought, ‘Okay, so if I’m lucky enough to get up there and win one thing tonight, I’m just going to do it. I’m just going to announce my new album.’”

She went on to give fans some new details about the upcoming body of work:

When did Taylor Swift announce the Eras Tour movie?

    Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift announced the Eras Tour on Thursday, August 31, 2023. “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆,” Swift posted on Instagram. “Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now at amctheatres.com. Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged 🫶 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk)”

When Taylor Swift’s tickets to The Eras Tour first went on sale in November 2022, the pop star broke the internet after Ticketmaster crashed with hundreds of thousands left without seats. In the United States, face-value tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour ranged from $49 to $499 (plus fees) depending on the section.

The tickets sold out within hours and did not have a general sale due to the high influx of buyers. On November 18, 2022, the “Anti-Hero” singer posted a statement on her Instagram stories about her Eras tour ticket sales. “It goes without saying that I’m extremely protective of my fans.  We’ve been doing this for decades together and over the years, I’ve brought so many elements of my career in-house,” she wrote.

“I’ve done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care as much about my fans as I do. It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.”

She continued explaining the strenuous outcomes of her fans trying to attain tickets, “There are a multitude of reasons why people had such a hard time trying to get tickets and I’m trying to figure out how this situation can be improved moving forward. I’m not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this demand and we were assured they could. It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.”

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ movie: How and when you can stream in Canada – National | Globalnews.ca

Taylor Swift‘s ever-popular Eras Tour is making one more stop this year: your living room.

On Monday, the pop star told her Canadian fans they would be able to rent and stream her Eras Tour film just in time for her birthday on Dec. 13. Not only that, Swift also said the soon-to-be released extended version of her concert film will include three bonus performances of songs not included as part of the movie’s original theatrical release.

“Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” Swift, 33, wrote on social media to promote the digital release.

She said the three extra songs will be Wildest Dreams, The Archer and Long Live, fan favourites for many die-hard Swifties.

Some fans, however, are bound to be upset that the song Cardigan, which Swift performs nightly on tour, is still cut from the new extended version.

The extended version of the Eras Tour film will be available to rent on Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Vudu, Xfinity, YouTube and Google TV.

According to a press release, the recording of Swift’s historic tour has a “suggested rental price” of CDN$19.89, though the cost may fluctuate depending on the platform. (1989 is both Swift’s year of birth and the name of her Grammy-nominated fifth studio album.)

The original theatrical version of the concert film was incredibly well-received by both Swift’s fanbase and critics, and boasts an impressive 99 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The announcement of the Eras Tour streaming release comes only one day after Swift ended her tour in Brazil.

Before the concert on Sunday, Swift met with the family of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, the 23-year-old fan who this month died while attending the star’s concert in Brazil. Swift said at the time she was “devastated” to learn of the fan’s death.

Swift’s Era Tour will continue with a with a four-night run in Tokyo, Japan beginning on Feb. 7, 2024.

In October, Bloomberg estimated that revenue for the successful tour amounted for about US$225 million (over C$306 million) into Swift’s pockets, exceeding all her previous tours combined. Variety reported the entire tour is expected to gross a record-breaking US$2 billion (about C$2.7 billion) by its conclusion in December 2024.
