It was a battle of the holdovers at the North American box office this weekend, with the family friendly film “GOAT” edging out the R-rated “Wuthering Heights.”
Sony Pictures Animation’s “GOAT” took in $17 million, while Warner Bros.’ “Wuthering Heights” earned $14.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. Both films are in their second weekend.
Overall, it was a quiet weekend at movie theaters around the country, with new offerings all opening under $10 million. Those results applied to the faith-based sequel “I Can Only Imagine 2,” the Glen Powell black comedy “How to Make a Killing” and the horror film “Psycho Killer,” which currently has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One bright spot in theaters was Baz Luhrmann’s immersive documentary “EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert,” which earned $3.3 million from only 325 locations in its limited IMAX release. That film expands to nationwide distribution on Feb. 27.
“GOAT” dropped a slim 38% in its second weekend in theaters, which the studio attributed to positive word-of-mouth. The Stephen Curry-produced movie, about a small goat with big sports dreams (voiced by “Stranger Things’” Caleb McLaughlin) has made over $58.3 million. Globally, its running total is at $102.3 million.
“Wuthering Heights” meanwhile fell 57% from its opening last weekend, bringing its domestic total to $60 million. Internationally it added another $26.3 million, pushing its global total to $151.7 million against an $80 million production budget. The movie’s top international market continues to be the U.K., where it has made $22.5 million alone.
Third place for the weekend went to Lionsgate and Kingdom Story’s “I Can Only Imagine 2,” a follow-up to the 2018 Dennis Quaid movie that made $86 million against a $7 million budget. The sequel opened with $8 million, a far cry from the first film’s $17 million launch, though that was in line with expectations. It did score a rare A+ CinemaScore.
Amazon and MGM’s “Crime 101” fell 59% in its second weekend, bringing in $5.8 million to take fourth place. The Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo heist thriller has now made $24.7 million against a reported $90 million budget. “Send Help” rounded out the top five with $4.5 million.
“How to Make a Killing” landed in sixth place with $3.6 million. A24 released the StudioCanal movie in 1,600 North American theaters. The film, loosely inspired by “Kind Hearts and Coronets,” stars Powell as a man who, in a quest to acquire a $28 billion inheritance, decides to kill off his family members. Directed by John Patton Ford (“Emily the Criminal”), “How to Make a Killing” was not well-received by critics: it’s sitting at a “rotten” 47% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Pyscho Killer,” released by 20th Century Studios, fared much worse and opened outside of the top 10. The horror-thriller written by Andrew Kevin Walker ( “Seven” ) and directed by Gavin Polone (a notable television and film producer in his directorial debut) tanked in its first weekend in theaters with $1.6 million in ticket sales from 1,110 theaters. Audiences were not any happier with it than critics; According to PostTrak, only 31% of ticket buyers would “definitely recommend” it.
With final domestic figures being released Monday, this list factors in the estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore:

Morgan Fairchild may have made audiences wonder if she was “too sexy for TV,” but she refused to play Hollywood’s so-called game to get ahead.
The actress, whose breakout role in the soap “Flamingo Road” cemented her bombshell image before she became a glamorous vixen on “Falcon Crest,” has a new podcast, “2 B—-es From Texas,” co-hosted with her sister, Cathryn Hartt. The show features never-before-heard stories from their decades in showbiz and sit-down interviews with celebrity friends.
The 76-year-old told Fox News Digital that, looking back, she didn’t want “to sell my soul” to get ahead.

“When I first moved to L.A., everyone told me, ‘If you don’t go to the right parties, if you don’t sleep with the right people, and if you don’t do what everybody does, you’re never going to get anywhere,’” she said. “Well, I don’t even drink, much less do drugs. I just never did. When they told me that’s what it takes to make it here, I thought, ‘Then I guess I just won’t have a career.’”
“I know there are jobs I lost because I wouldn’t sleep with people,” Fairchild reflected. “I know that, and I accept that I wasn’t willing to accept that. I just wasn’t willing to sleep with them.”

Before becoming an ’80s icon, Fairchild got her first taste of Hollywood with a small, uncredited role in 1967’s “Bonnie and Clyde,” starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway.

“I went to a cast party, and I realized everybody was a little strange,” she said. “The next day, I was walking with one of my mentors, and he said, ‘You seem a little down.’ I told him, ‘I really like working on this movie, but I’m realizing it’s a strange world. I walked out on this party, but that’s the reality of the business, and I can’t just keep walking out on reality.’”
“He gave me the best piece of advice I ever got,” Fairchild shared. “He said, ‘Nonsense, you can always walk out on reality.’ So that’s how I approached Hollywood.

“I create my own reality. I live my own life the way I want to. Those are the choices, as long as you can accept the downside, which is that if you don’t do these things people tell you that you have to do, you may not work. As long as you’re willing to accept that, then you’re fine.”

Fairchild said she never regretted doing things her own way when it came to focusing on her acting career.
“I never had to look back on anything,” she said. “I made my decision early on that I was not going to sell my soul or my pride or my dignity to succeed in this business. I might’ve done a little better if I had, but I was willing to live with that.”

Falwell and Wildmon publicly denounced what they viewed as indecent and immoral television, targeting prime-time shows they said glorified promiscuity. Fairchild’s sensual “Flamingo Road” character soon became a high-profile symbol of the content they condemned.

The backlash didn’t hurt Fairchild’s career. Instead, it helped launch her into stardom. People magazine’s July 1981 cover story ran with the headline, “Is she too sexy for TV?” She later earned a Golden Globe nomination.

When asked how she felt about being labeled a sex symbol, Fairchild replied, “There are a lot of worse things to be called than a sex symbol.”
“But it still surprises me,” she said. “I wasn’t expecting it, but there are far worse things to be labeled.”

In the 1980s, Fairchild became one of Hollywood’s earliest and most visible advocates during the AIDS crisis. She said it was her choice to speak out when many others stayed silent out of fear of being blacklisted in Hollywood. It was a decision that nearly cost her career.

“I know it cost me work,” she said. “I’ve been told it cost me work by people who were in casting rooms. I’ve been told I was too controversial because of my stance on AIDS. People didn’t want me around their kids. People didn’t want me to eat at their place. They didn’t want me in their homes. But I lost friends. I couldn’t sit back and stay silent.”
“But here was the sweet thing,” she said. “The first time I visited a hospice, I asked myself, ‘What do I say to these guys who are dying? What can I say that’s comforting?’

“I walked in, and three guys came over and said, ‘We want your eye makeup tricks.’ I did it to cheer them up — and I know I lost work because of that. But those are the choices you make. You decide what matters more: playing it safe or trying to help. And I’ll always try to help.”
And she would do it again, Fairchild insisted.
“I’m grateful for where my life choices have taken me,” she added.

‘The Way Home’ (2023 – Present)
The setup for The Way Home should sound familiar to romantic drama fans. A newly single mother, Kat Dhawan (Chyler Leigh), has to take her teenage daughter, Ali (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), back to their hometown, Port Haven, so they can rebuild their lives. Kat also has to reconcile with her mother, Del Landry (Andie MacDowell), after being estranged from her for two decades.
Here’s where things veer off into fantasy. Ali discovers a pond that can take her back and forth across time. This allows her to meet her mother as a teenager and explore the family secrets that have kept Del and Kat apart for decades. Eventually, all three generations of the family become aware of the pond and what it can do. Season 3 was added to Netflix this month, and it’s the penultimate chapter ahead of the show’s fourth and final season.
Unfamiliar is a German spy thriller about Meret (Susanne Wolff) and Simon Schäfer (Felix Kramer). Nearly two decades ago, this couple worked as undercover agents for the German Foreign Intelligence Service, or BND. Now, to the outside world, they’re just the parents of a teenage girl named Nina (Maja Bons).
Simon and Meret aren’t entirely removed from the spy business, and that oversight may come back to bite them. While hiding a new client who claims to be an injured BND operative, Meret and Simon realize that they’ve been targeted. They also discover that they’ve been keeping some big secrets from each other that harm their mutual trust at the moment they need it the most. As for Nina, she may find out about the family business long before she’s ready to absorb the truth about her parents.
If you remember reading Robert Louis Stevenson‘s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, then you’ll recall that the story’s Victorian setting didn’t include cars. The Jekyll and Hyde series can get away with that because this show is jumping two generations ahead to the 1930s and centering on Dr. Robert Jekyll (Tom Bateman), the grandson of the infamous Dr. Henry Jekyll.
After being summoned to London to deal with his grandfather’s estate, Robert is drawn into the dark secrets of his family. He also discovers that he has a Hyde of his own, and this split personality has its own ideas about how to live. As Robert struggles with his alter ego, he uncovers new info about his parentage and enemies who want his family’s genetic powers for themselves. To survive, Robert may have to turn to his darker half and let Hyde run wild.
Sara Ramirez celebrated the life of their late Grey’s Anatomy costar Eric Dane by sharing how he once selflessly supported a guest star on the medical drama.
On Saturday, February 21, Ramirez, 50, became the latest Grey’s Anatomy cast member to pay tribute to Dane, who died at age 53 on Thursday, February 19, following a battle with the neurodegenerative disease ALS.
Ramirez posted a “broken heart emoji” via Instagram and shared a video from trans activist and actress Alexandra Billings, who played Donna Gibson in the classic Grey’s Anatomy season 3 episode “Where the Boys Are.” The powerful episode dealt with Dr. Mark Sloan (Dane) supporting Donna when she was diagnosed with breast cancer while in the midst of transitioning.
In a 15-minute tribute, Billings recalled the way Dane showed her empathy on set and fought for her when her lengthy monologue was supposed to be cut. Per Billings, she shared with Dane how her real-life doctor would “touch my knee or he would hold me” while she was going through the process of transitioning in the 1980s.

“[The doctor] would let me know he saw me, no matter what we were talking about,” explained.
After sharing that memory, Dane held Billings’ hand during their scene to emulate the real support she’d received. Later, the director and writer informed Billings that they would have to cut her inspiring monologue for time reasons.
“[Eric] turns to me and he says very quietly, he says, ‘What are the five most important things you say in that monologue?’ … And I told him! I don’t remember what they were, but I told him one of them was about my wife, a line about my wife. And he said, ‘Say that and we’ll do a little improvisation,’” she remembered. “And he turned to the boom mic [operator] and he said, ‘What do you think?’ And from the back, you hear like little Muppets, ‘Yes, that’s a great idea!’ So they were all for it. And that’s what you see in the episode.”
Billings said that “it changed everything for me” when Dane fought for her character Donna to have that moment of catharsis.
“There was no reason in the world for him to do that. It didn’t have anything to do with him,” she said. “Time is money, especially in television. Eric Dane was one of the kindest, most empathetic humans I think I’ve ever worked with. I think that I could count on one hand the amount of times where I’ve left a set … and gone, ‘I can’t believe.’ Or, ‘That was extraordinary.’ And that was one of those times. Eric Dane showed everyone on that set what a true ally looks like. It’s not just talk.”

As she fought back tears, Billings went on, “An ally is present even when there’s danger in them being present. And that’s what Eric Dane did. I didn’t know him. I really didn’t know him but I absolutely knew him. And he will be missed. And I’m going to say something I didn’t get a chance to say to him: Thank you, Eric. Thank you. From all of us.”
Earlier this week, Patrick Dempsey admitted it was “hard to put into words” what his Grey’s Anatomy costar Dane’s death meant.
“He was the funniest man — he was such a joy to work with, and I want to just remember him in that spirit, because any time he was on set, he brought so much fun to it,” Dempsey recalled. “He had a great sense of humor. He was easy to work with. We got along instantly. First scene was him, you know, in all his glory, coming out of the bathroom with the towel on looking amazing, making you feel completely out of shape and insignificant.”
“We hit it off because it was never really any competition,” he added. “There was just this wonderful mutual respect, he’s wickedly intelligent, and I’m always going to remember those moments of fun that we had together and celebrate the joy that he did bring to people’s lives, and the real loss is for us who don’t have them anymore.”

Dane’s family announced on Thursday that he’d died nearly a year after going public with his ALS diagnosis. Per the Mayo Clinic, ALS is a nervous system disease that weakens nerve cells in both the brain and spinal cord and leads to a progressive loss of muscle control.
“[Eric] will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always,” his rep said. “Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received. The family has asked for privacy as they navigate this impossible time.”
Dane was survived by two daughters, Billie and Georgia, from his marriage to Rebecca Gayheart. A GoFundMe was set up to support his daughters on Friday, February 21, and has already raised more than $274,000 towards a $500,000 goal.

The princess and William haven’t yet spoken out on Andrew’s arrest, although Buckingham Palace put out a statement on their behalf following the most recent Epstein files release.
“I can confirm the prince and princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations,” a palace spokesperson told the BBC earlier this month. “Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
The former prince, who is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on his 66th birthday Thursday at Sandringham, where he currently lives, and later released after an 11-hour detention. He has not been charged and denies all the allegations of wrongdoing against him.

Andrew had been accused of sexual assault by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was forced to have sex with the prince when she was underage. Giuffre died last year.
“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.”
“As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all,” he added.

Andrew was stripped of his royal titles last October, and forced to leave his home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor for a smaller home on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
The government is also considering removing Andrew, who is eighth in line to the throne, from the line of succession. Edward VIII was the last royal to be removed from the line of succession when he abdicated in 1936. Queen Elizabeth II’s father became king in his place.

However, during Freddie Flintoff’s Disney+ biographical film, Jack had the confidence to open up about his own struggles after the former Top Gear star had been open about his own experience with bulimia a few years prior.
Speaking on the doc, Jack said: “I was bulimic when I first started doing television, it’s not something that I’ve ever really spoken about.
“But I remember that pressure of being on television. And it’s not something that I’ve seen other men or people in the media talk about, until Fred came out and spoke about it.
“I just remember thinking that was incredibly brave of him.”

‘I became known as a fat cricketer’
In 2020, former cricketer turned television presenter Freddie starred in a BBC documentary titled Freddie Flintoff: Living with Bulimia, in which he opened up about his battle with the eating disorder during the early years of his career, when scrutiny over his weight intensified.
Flintoff revealed that he forced himself to vomit while playing for the England cricket team during their historic 2005 Ashes triumph. It was the team’s first The Ashes series win in 18 years.
“I became known as a fat cricketer. That was horrible,” he said.
“That was when I started doing it, that was when I started being sick after meals. Then things started happening for me as a player.”

Dennis Quaid is commenting on how much politics have changed in recent years.
During an appearance on “The Greg Laurie Show,” the 71-year-old actor shared where he stands politically and how much the landscape has changed over time.
“The Things have gone so extremely, so far left right now,” Laurie said during his conversation with Quaid. “I saw a podcast — it was Bill Maher and Dana Carvey, and I’m forgetting the other guy’s name — but anyway, I think it was Dana Carvey said, ‘I’ve told my friends in Hollywood I’m a Clinton Democrat, and some of them are calling me a Nazi now.’”
Quaid said that “you can’t do that,” and compared being a Clinton Democrat to being “a neo-con, on the right side or whatever. What used to be, you can’t be anymore.”

The actor then described himself as a “common-sense independent,” although he said he tends to “lean more conservative in my head.”
“I’m just for common sense, is really what I am,” Quaid said.
Later in the podcast, Laurie asked Quaid about spending time with President Donald Trump.
He called Trump “very surprisingly approachable and very funny, and really genuine. He wouldn’t be president if he wasn’t genuine, because the people who voted for him, they know that he has their best interest at heart.”

Quaid has always spoken about how proud he is to be American, telling Fox News Digital in July 2024 that he “was born in the greatest country ever to be on the Earth.”
“When you look at it, as flawed as it is, it’s better than everything else that has come before. And, you know, I really believe in the wisdom of the American people as a whole,” he said. “We just need to get our act together and start, you know, believing in ourselves again, because I believe that the president reflects the people.”
Quaid had the opportunity to portray his “favorite president” on screen when he starred as Ronald Reagan in the 2024 movie, “Reagan,” honoring the nation’s 40th president.

When speaking with Fox News Digital in a separate interview in July 2024, the “Parent Trap” star shared that he nearly turned down the starring role in the film out of “fear.”
“Reagan was my favorite president personally, and he was also such a recognizable figure around the world, sort of like Muhammad Ali,” he said. “Everybody knew what he looked like, sounded like, and so that was a pretty scary proposition.”
He explained that he feared judgment from others and “feeling unworthy” of stepping into Reagan’s shoes, adding that he didn’t want it to seem as if he was doing “an impersonation of him.”
It wasn’t until he visited Reagan’s ranch in Southern California and got a sense of the man he was behind the scenes when he decided to take the role.

He noticed “three remote controls like back in the ’80s when you had to use three remote controls to get the TV to work.”
“Then, a note from Nancy, you know, on how to do it,” he said of working the remote controls. “Also just the land itself. You could see that it was him that did all the work there. You could feel it. And that’s when, after that, I said ‘Yes, I’ll do this,’ because I found a way in.“
The former “Jersey Shore” star said in a video posted to TikTok that a biopsy had revealed the stage one cancer.
“Obviously not the news that I was hoping for,” she said, sitting in her car between medical appointments. “But also not the worst news, just because they caught it so early, thank freaking God.”
She urged her followers to get Pap smears, and said she is likely to have a hysterectomy after her initial treatment.
“So 2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to,” she said.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — U2 is returning with its first collection of new songs in nearly a decade, opening with a tribute to Renee Good, the Minnesota mom fatally shot by a federal agent during this winter’s massive immigration crackdown.
The Irish rock band released the six-song EP “U2 – Days of Ash” on Wednesday. Its first track, “American Obituary,” is dedicated to Good, who died Jan. 7 in Minneapolis during an encounter with a Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent. The song is a call for peace and a dedication to Good’s life.
“Renee didn’t just believe in kindness; she lived it, fully and fiercely,” said Becca Good, her partner, in a statement released with the project. “She believed every person deserved the same compassion, care and dignity regardless of who they were.”
The band released the EP on Ash Wednesday, describing it as an immediate response to current events and inspired by the people “fighting on the front lines of freedom.”
Frontman Bono has frequently incorporated social themes into U2’s music, and the new songs maintain that approach. Some tracks reference international tensions and humanitarian concerns, including the war in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East and immigration debates in the United States. One song also mentions Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen, whose death last year in the Israeli-occupied West Bank drew international attention.
The project marks U2’s first major release of new original material since 2017’s “Songs of Experience,” although the band has remained active through touring and rerecorded projects in recent years.
Antonio Romanucci, an attorney representing Good’s family in a civil case connected to her death, said the tribute reflects a broader message.
“We certainly feel the urgency of the country’s situation reflected in the band’s powerful call for coming together,” he said in a statement.
Throughout its career, U2 has used its platform to highlight issues ranging from global poverty initiatives to human rights advocacy. The EP was released alongside lyric videos for each track and is available on major streaming platforms.
Good’s parents and siblings also described the song as an honor and said they hope it encourages reflection and unity.
“It’s an incredible honor to have the talent and impact of U2 spreading the message of peace in Renee’s name,” the statement read. “We certainly feel the urgency of the country’s situation reflected in the band’s powerful call for change and coming together.”

This romantic sports drama is as much an insightful look at the pressures and anxieties of being a young athlete as it is an exceptionally affecting love story embodied to perfection by Lathan and Epps. Love & Basketball marked an impressive directorial debut from Gina Prince-Bythewood, who helms the film with style and confidence. With great character writing, exciting basketball sequences and a realistic romance, Love & Basketball is a rare swoon-worthy sports film.
“I think when the lights go out, it’s over,” he said in an interview for “Famous Last Words,” a Netflix series that’s available now. “I do believe that once we go to sleep or however it is we — we go, once we’re gone, we’re gone.”
He also hoped in the interview that his two daughters, Billie and Georgia, would remember how he was present in their lives. He went to beach volleyball games and dance recitals, adding that he’d seen “The Nutcracker” many times and his review was, “That thing drones on, man.”
“Famous Last Words” is based on a show that originated in Denmark. The premise is that a person is interviewed — executive producer Brad Falchuk does the questioning in the Netflix show — and it will not be released until their death.
Dane’s interview is the second episode. The first was with primatologist and conservationist Jane Goodall, who died last October. Falchuk tells The Associated Press he’s recorded five conversations already with plans for more.
No one else was present on set for the taping last November and even the camera operators were in a different room.
“The guest needs to be totally safe to speak honestly and say whatever they want and know that they’re leaving something for people to experience with them not here,” Falchuk said on Friday. Only a small number of people work on the production of the show afterward. “Very, very few people have seen it and very, very people even know whose done it,” explained Falchuk.
“Famous people don’t often get an opportunity to speak honestly about themselves and about what they think in the world,” said Falchuk who is married to Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow. “They have to be very protective, especially nowadays. They say things and it goes everywhere and it gets misinterpreted and they also want to keep working or keep you know doing what they do, so this is an opportunity for them not to have to be guarded.”
Dane’s ALS advocacy lives on
After his ALS diagnosis, Dane became an advocate to raise awareness and money to fight the disease. After his death, the organization I AM ALS released clips of him recorded for an upcoming documentary.
“It’s a tough thing to respond to, it’s a tough thing to live with, yeah. But it’s really hard for the people around me too. And it’s almost like — in a weird way, it’s to some benefit, because I spend a lot of my time consoling others,” he said in a clip released Friday.
Filmmaker Chris Burke also captured Dane on a trip to Washington D.C. where he lobbied politicians for a bill that would help accelerate research, expand access to treatment and secure one billion dollars in federal funding for ALS patients.
“He understood that ALS is not just a diagnosis; it is a call to action for families, for answers, and for change,” the organization said in a statement after Dane’s death.
Dane’s last message to his daughters
In the Netflix show, Dane also reflected on the lifelong impact of losing his father at age 7 and subsequent struggles with addiction to drugs and alcohol. He said he immediately knew he would marry Rebecca Gayheart when he met her and shared a memory of a family vacation to France where he spent a car ride speaking with a “spot on” French accent that made everyone laugh.
The most poignant part of the taping was at the end — when Falchuk left the room for Dane to look into the camera and deliver a final message which he dedicated to his daughters. Dane shared that his diagnosis with ALS taught him to be present. He also hoped the girls would “fall in love,” whether it be with a person or something that would make them want to wake up each morning.
“I hope you won’t just listen to me. I hope you’ll hear me,” he said.
Falchuk said this final message is something each guest has the opportunity to do. “People do all different kinds of stuff. Some people write it. Jane improvised hers. Eric wrote his,” said Falchuk, who was visibly emotional at the idea of Dane’s daughters watching his message.
“It’s hard to think about that,” he said. “They’re grieving and he loved them so much. They loved him so much and they’re just a beautiful family. I don’t know. Maybe they’ll watch it. Maybe they’ll never watch it, whatever it may be.”
Falchuk and Dane had dinner prior to filming and they didn’t know each other well, but a new friendship had developed from the experience.
”I’m grieving Eric a lot right now. It’s very hard. I was not expecting this to happen this soon. And I miss him,” said Falchuk. “It’s hard when they die. It is hard.”
The exchange seemed to also have an impact on Dane, who told Falchuk, “This is probably the most revealing and in-depth conversation I’ve had with just about anybody.”

Police continued to search Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s former home Friday after his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office the day before, Fox News Digital can confirm.
Photographs showed police outside of Royal Lodge on Friday morning, Andrew’s former home in Berkshire. The Thames Valley Police confirmed the search of the former prince’s current home – Wood Farm – concluded Thursday.
The search of Andrew’s 30-room former home in the parkland near Windsor Castle, where the king’s younger brother had lived for decades until his eviction earlier this month, will reportedly continue through Monday, according to the BBC. Unmarked vans, believed to be police vehicles, have been entering the grounds throughout Friday morning.

The former prince could be seen in the backseat of a car as he arrived at Wood Farm, where he has been temporarily staying after being kicked out of the Royal Lodge.
Authorities arrested Andrew on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has been accused of sharing confidential trade info with Jeffrey Epstein. Emails released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of the Epstein files appeared to show former Prince Andrew sharing reports of official trade visits with the disgraced financier. One email showed Andrew sent Epstein the information five minutes after he received it.

Other police forces in the U.K. are also conducting their own investigations into Andrew’s ties to Epstein. The Metropolitan Police is investigating allegations London airports may have been used to facilitate human trafficking and sexual exploitation. “Separately, the Met is identifying and contacting former and serving officers who may have worked closely, in a protection capacity, with Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
“They have been asked to consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard during that period of service may be relevant to our ongoing reviews and to share any information that could assist us,” the statement continued.
The Metropolitan Police added: “While we are aware of the extensive media reporting and commentary about this matter, as of today, no new criminal allegations have been made to the Met regarding sexual offences said to have occurred within our jurisdiction. We continue to urge anyone with new or relevant information to come forward. All allegations will be taken seriously and, as with any matter, any information received will be assessed and investigated where appropriate.”

Royal commentator Meredith Constant told Fox News Digital she believes Andrew allegedly sending Epstein confidential documents “only scratches the surface.”
Constant said the former prince’s conduct as U.K. trade envoy has been “a topic of concern for years now.”
“I have a feeling sending confidential documents to Jeffrey Epstein only scratches the surface,” Constant said. “It is past time for the U.K. Government to release files they’ve kept hidden from the public about Andrew’s time in public office.”

The exiled royal’s connection to Epstein eventually led to his arrest on his 66th birthday. Andrew allegedly sent confidential trade reports to Epstein in 2010. At the time, he was serving as Britain’s special envoy for international trade.
Specifically, emails released as part of the Epstein files appeared to show Andrew sharing reports of official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
One email, dated November 2010, appeared to be forwarded by Andrew five minutes after he had been sent it. In another, on Christmas Eve 2010, he appeared to send Epstein a confidential brief on investment opportunities in the reconstruction of Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Dane, the celebrated actor best known for his roles on Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria and who later in life became an advocate for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) awareness, died Thursday at the age of 53.
His representatives said Dane died from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, less than a year after he announced his diagnosis.
“He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” said a statement that requested privacy for his family.
“Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight. He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered always. Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received.”

Winnipeg chemist honoured for helping create drug to treat ALS
Dane developed a devoted fanbase when his big break arrived in the mid-2000s: He was cast as Dr. Mark Sloan, also known as “McSteamy,” on the ABC medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, a role he would play from 2006 until 2012 and reprise in 2021. In 2019, he did a complete 180-degree turn from the charming McSteamy and became the troubled Cal Jacobs in HBO’s provocative drama Euphoria, a role he continued up until his death.
Dane’s Grey’s Anatomy co-star Dempsey shared details about working with the late actor after news of his death spread.
Dempsey, who played Dr. Derek Shepherd (a.k.a. “McDreamy”) on the medical drama, spoke about how he felt once he heard the news during an appearance on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Friday.
“It’s hard to put into words. I feel really so sad for his children,” Dempsey said. “I was corresponding with him, we were texting, so I spoke to him about a week ago and some friends of ours went in to see him and he was really starting to lose his ability to speak.”

“He was bedridden and it was very hard for him to swallow, so the quality of his life was deteriorating so rapidly,” he continued. “He was the funniest man. He was such a joy to work with and I want to just remember him in that spirit because any time he was on set, he brought so much fun to it.”
“He had a great sense of humour. He was easy to work with, we got along instantly,” Dempsey added. “First scene was him, in all his glory, coming out of the bathroom with the towel on looking amazing, making you feel completely out of shape and insignificant.”
Dempsey said there was “never really any competition” between the two on the set of the show.
“There was just this wonderful mutual respect. He’s wickedly intelligent, and I’m always going to remember those moments of fun that we had together and celebrate the joy that he did bring to people’s lives, and the real loss is for us, who don’t have them anymore,” he shared.

During filming he’d get this twinkle in his eye and with a mischievous look, he would deliver with perfect comedic timing, a line of dialogue that would floor you! You will be missed,” she wrote.

ABC and 20th Television released a joint statement on Dane’s death: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Eric Dane. His remarkable talent and unforgettable presence on Grey’s Anatomy left a lasting impact on audiences around the world, and his courage and grace during his battle with ALS inspired so many. Our hearts are with his family, friends, and colleagues, as well as the many fans whose lives were touched by his work.”
Euphoria creator Sam Levinson paid tribute to Dane, who played the father of Jacob Elordi’s Nate Jacobs on the hit series.
“I’m heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift. Eric’s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing,” Levinson said in a statement to Variety.
The official Instagram account for Euphoria wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the news of Eric Dane’s passing. He was incredibly talented and HBO was fortunate to have worked with him on three seasons of Euphoria. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”

Milano, who worked with Dane on Charmed, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “I can’t stop seeing that spark in Eric’s eye right before he’d say something that would either make you spit out your drink or rethink your entire perspective. He had a razor-sharp sense of humor. He loved the absurdity of things. He loved catching people off guard.”
“And when it came to his daughters and Rebecca, everything in him softened. He carried them with him even in rooms where they weren’t present. You could see it in the way his voice changed when he said their names. A breathtakingly beautiful family,” she continued.
Milano said Dane convinced her to get a pixie cut and her nose piercing.

“He also was with me on the walk when we found Lucy, my beloved rescue chihuahua. He called me ‘Milano,’ as if it was the only part of my name that mattered. My heart is with the people who were lucky enough to be his home,” she concluded.

Dobrev, who starred alongside Dane in 2022’s Redeeming Love, said she was “heartbroken to hear about the passing of Eric.”

“He used his voice to let the world know what it was like living with ALS. I was honored he chose my publishing imprint to publish his memoir. He told me he wanted his family to know how much he loved them, and he wanted to leave them a story they could be proud of. My love goes out to his family, and to all those battling this cruel disease, as well as all those caring for somone (sic) battling it,” she wrote.

Rhona Mitra, who played Dr. Rachel Scott on The Last Ship, shared a tribute to her former co-star on Instagram, writing, “25 years ago there was a vulnerable skinny kid just like the rest of us… What did they do to you, O Captain, my captain… What did they do…..’

“We all loved you so very much but man, you did not make it easy. I hope your daughters remember the kind and awkward boy I once knew. The one so very few truly got to know. The one that literally scooped me up and saved me when I was lost and out to sea.. forever grateful for that boy,” she wrote.
John Stamos shared a tribute on Instagram, writing, “RIP, Buddy. Me and @realericdane played brothers years ago in a beautiful movie called, Wedding Wars. Good guy. Too soon, Xo J.”

Martin Lawrence said that his condolences go out to Dane’s family.

ALS progressively destroys the nerve cells and connections needed to walk, talk and breathe. The disease often begins with muscle twitching and weakness in an arm or leg, trouble swallowing or slurred speech, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Symptoms of ALS vary from person to person and depend on which nerve cells are affected, the Mayo Clinic states. ALS generally begins with muscle weakness that gets worse over time.

Symptoms might include trouble walking or carrying out usual daily activities, tripping and falling, weakness in the legs, feet or ankles, hand weakness and thinking or behavioural changes.
There is currently no cure for the fatal disease, and people usually live three to five years after their diagnosis, according to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. However, some patients can live for decades with the disease.
Approximately 1,000 Canadians are diagnosed with ALS every year, according to ALS Canada. Four thousand are currently living with the disease.

According to Open Field, Dane’s memoir covers key moments in his life, from his first day at work on “Grey’s Anatomy” to the births of his two daughters and learning that he had ALS.
“I want to capture the moments that shaped me — the beautiful days, the hard ones, the ones I never took for granted — so that if nothing else, people who read it will remember what it means to live with heart,” Dane said in a statement about the book. “If sharing this helps someone find meaning in their own days, then my story is worth telling.”
Dane is survived by his wife, actor Rebecca Gayheart, and their two teen daughters, Billie Beatrice and Georgia Geraldine. Gayheart and Dane wed in 2004 and separated in September 2017. Gayheart filed for divorce in 2018, but later filed to dismiss the petition. In a December essay for New York magazine’s The Cut reflecting on Dane’s diagnosis, Gayheart called their dynamic “a very complicated relationship, one that’s confusing for people.” She said they never got a divorce, but dated other people and lived separately.
“Our love may not be romantic, but it’s a familial love,” she said. “Eric knows that I am always going to want the best for him. That I’m going to do my best to do right by him. And I know he would do the same for me. So whatever I can do or however I can show up to make this journey better for him or easier for him, I want to do that.”

In 2023, it was confirmed that a sequel to Plane would be developed. Titled Ship, it was expected to focus on a new event. However, there has been no update on the project since then.
Mike Colter has now revealed what happened to the planned sequel in a new interview with The Direct. Colter confirmed that the film was canceled just two weeks before its scheduled production date. According to him, the project fell apart after Gerard Butler decided not to move forward with it.
“It just, last-minute, Gerard [Butler] decided he didn’t want to go forward with it, and there wasn’t a lot of discussion about it. He just… two weeks out, he pulled out, and we were sort of left trying to figure out what to do. And eventually, that dissolved,” Colter told The Direct.
Butler was not set to lead the sequel, but he was a producer on the project. This meant he had a say in whether the film would move forward. “The script. Basically, picking up where we left off, what happened to that character, and how’d he get off the island. That was where we were gonna go with it. So, I was excited about it,” Colter added, explaining that the sequel would have focused heavily on his character, Louis.
The ending of Plane left Louis’ fate open after he and Brodie were separated following the chaotic conclusion.
As of now, there are no reported plans to revive the sequel.
