Sacred Games season 3 shelved: Director Anurag Kashyap says, ‘OTT me himmat nahi hai’ | Bollywood Life

OTT has been a boom over the past few years, especially after the pandemic. Some excellent content series and movies were released on digital platforms. As audiences streaming taste evolved sequels of popular web series were pulled down by the platforms. Streaming giant Netflix has itself dropped continuing chapters of few series. Among them, one is the renowned crime thriller Sacred Games season 3. Anurag Kashyap who has directed the show reiterated that the third season of Sacred Games has been shelved.
Sacred Games features Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. It is directed by Anurag Kashyap in collaboration with Vikramaditya Motwane. The show took the internet by storm when its first season was released. Everyone eagerly waited for its second chapter but when it was released a section of society was disappointed while others still await the third chapter. However, the latest development updates that Netflix has shelved the show for reasons best known to them.
In a recent interview with Mashable India, Anurag Kashyap spoke of his popular web show Sacred Games and his interest in working on the third season. Anurag wished to do a lot of work in fact he did start but states OTT doesn’t have the courage right now, after Tandav everyone is scared. He said, “OTT ki aaj ke date me himmat nahi hai. Tandav ke baad sab dar gaye hain.”
The director further revealed that he is no longer interested in working for OTT as he is not allowed to use surnames for characters, and not allowed to show stuff as they exist. If he can’t keep things real he would rather not do it. Anurag mentioned that he cannot do hygienic work and prefers to do work he enjoys.
Tandav had ignited a lot of controversies ahead of its release. Across six states numerous complaints were filed claiming the show hurts religious sentiments. Tandav is Amazon Prime Video’s popular Indian political thriller web series. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar it stars Saif Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra, Sunil Grover, Gauhar Khan, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in leading roles.

Pathaan box office day 7: Shah Rukh Khan starrer continues its fabulous run on the first Tuesday

Pathaan movie is a hit. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer has turned out to be a blockbuster within one week. The film released on January 25 and within two days, Pathaan managed to enter the mighty Rs 100 crore club. By the end of its 6th day, the film crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India. The first Tuesday also was a fabulous one. As per the early estimates coming in, the film has managed to go past the Rs 20 crore mark on the first Tuesday.
Entertainment News: Pathaan box office collections day 7
As per the early estimates coming in, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham‘s Pathaan has made somewhere between Rs 20 to Rs 22 crore at the box office on day 7. With this, the collection of the film can go above Rs 325 crore mark. Though the number seems to have dipped from the first Monday but the film has already made enough moolah to be termed as a great blockbuster.

Rajinikanth is the megastar of Indian cinema and needs no introduction. He has a great influence on the Indian audience with his aura, stardom, and acting skills. However, the actor is being trolled over the years for his style and people tried to mimic him while brands incorporated his image in advertisements and campaigns. Now, the superstar has issued a legal complaint against those who would use his identity without permission.
According to reports, Rajinikanth with the help of his lawyer S. Elambharathi issued a legal notice of copyright infringement to protect his identity from being exploited. This means those misusing the superstar’s name or voice for advertising their brands without taking permission would call out for legal action. He has given a warning to brands who use his identity for their benefit without consent. Well, any such action in the future will pull them to court.
The superstar issued a letter that states anyone infringing his personality or celebrity rights would face legal action. Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his web series debut with Farzi helmed by Raj &DK, known for the edgy thriller The Family Man. The show is touted to be a crime thriller set to release on Amazon Prime Video. Fans are eagerly waiting for Shahid to step into the digital space and spread his magic as the show has already aroused interest in the audience. Ahead of its premiere day lead actor Shahid Kapoor has shared his experience of working with Raj and DK.
Shahid Kapoor who will play the leading role spoke of working with the director duo Raj & DK. He felt that Farzi has been made in a very fluid manner and the way they shot was very contemporary. Shahid thinks the directors let everybody bring what they feel and then they kind of finalize it together to make it what they feel is right. The Kabir Sigh actor had a lot of fun and felt very free also had a great time shooting for the crime drama show.
Farzi is an eight-episodic crime thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The story revolves around a small-time con artist who plans to be a perfect con but a vicious and peculiar task force officer is on a mission to save the country from his wrong deeds. The crime thriller show is directed by the creators of Family Man Raj & DK. It will also star Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar. Farzi is produced by D2R Films and will stream on Amazon Prime Video across India on 10th February 2023.

Soundarya Sharma was eliminated from the show last weekend. Many feel that it was unfair to have her evicted through housemates’ decision. In a candid chat with Bollywood Life, she tells us, “I have had an overwhelming journey but I will always have this feeling that I was not eliminated by audience votes. If I was undeserving why was the decision kept on the other contestants. But every journey has to end and I am an eternal optimist. What I will say now won’t make any sense. But I feel Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Shiv Thakare orchestrated this.”
Talking about the endless character assassination and slut-shaming she faced on the show, Soundarya says, “I have been character assassinated the most by Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta. I would say it reflects on your personality. It shows who they are in.” She says that she told Archana Gautam not to comment on people’s profession on the show. Soundarya Sharma tells us that she saw the video clip where Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was laughing about her along with Shalin Bhanot, Tina Datta and Sreejita De. “I was appalled to see her in that discussion. But then God bless them. They are complex people. I would say they are like trolls,” she says.
Talking about Archana Gautam, she said, “I do not have insecurity about people stealing my limelight. I never felt threatened by Archana Gautam. I only told her to be a good listener. Our bond is genuine and not one made out of convenience. We will be friends.” Commenting on Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta’s much-talked about love story, she said, “They are two matured individuals. They know what are doing on the show. Now, the whole world knows what they share.” The model and actress is angry with the two. She says, “Shalin Bhanot is a crackpot. He has said the shittiest things about me. Even Tina Datta. Yeh naa unke sanskaar main hai. I have never ignored all this. There are people who have laughed with him when he made such comments. Now, they are talking about women empowerment. No one stood up for me.”
She says Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is a selective Sacchai Ki Murat on the show. “She stuck to people who spoke rubbish. When Shiv Thakare raised the matter of Gautam Vig no one stood up for me. Inside, people when they say something about others, they want to feed that narrative to fans. But you cannot rise by pulling others down.” The actress’ says now everyone will talk about women empowerment, sexism and what not. “People who did not stand up for me, it reflects on them. Now, they need content so they will raise such issues on the show,” she signs off.
