    The Kerala Story produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah got a good opening at the box office. The film has become the fifth-highest-grosser of the year 2023. Adah Sharma is quite elated with the response the film has received. Taking to her Twitter account, she expressed gratitude to all. She wrote about receiving a standing ovation and the theatres running houseful. She said that may white girls narrating their stories would make people change their minds and believe that The Kerala Story is based on true events.     Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to shoot for Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3. And while at that, he is also gearing up for the release of his next, an actioner titled Jawan. The movie is directed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Well, just a couple of days ago, there have been reports that the makers are planning to delay Jawan for some reason. But it looks like that is not the case. Jawan is moving ahead with its original release date in June, states the recent report.     Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is not delayed

    A source close to the development of the movie, quoting News18, tells that Jawan will stick to its original release date which is June 2nd. It was reported that the movie has been postponed to October owing to the heavy VFX involved in the film. Later, it was said that Jawan will release on the 25th of August. But now, fresh reports have confirmed that Jawan will move ahead with its original plan. But the final decision will be taken by tomorrow.     The source also tells the entertainment news portal that the makers of Jawan have no elaborate plans for the promotion of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi starrer. The makers are well aware of the huge buzz around the movie in the market. They are most likely to follow the same route as Pathaan. “They are likely to drop the film’s trailer 10-15 days before the release,” the report says.     Shah Rukh Khan to promote his movie at IPL 2023 finals?

    The report in News18 further claims that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen promoting his movie at the finals of IPL 2023, just as he did with Pathaan at the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar. The superstar is expected to announce something big related to the movie at the finals. Talking about the movie Jawan, the film is said to feature Deepika Padukone in a cameo. Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Sunil Grover are also said to be a part of Jawan.

    As per reports, Vijay Sethupathi is charging a whopping Rs 21 crores for the movie. There have been reports of Thalapathy Vijay making a cameo as well.

    Director Sudipto Sen was asked about the number 32000 that is being questioned by all. To this, the director stated that the number has not been exaggerated. He mentioned that the film was with the Censor Board for two months and that they have checked every part thoroughly. He remarked that one cannot discredit the Censor Board as the Indian constitution has given them the power. He emphasised that the Board does due scrutiny of every film and does not differentiate. He said that the team stands by the number. Vipul Amrutlal Shah then said that the team cannot comment on numbers as of now as the matter is in the court and it is sub judice.     As reported by News18, a source stated that Salman Khan has received offers for six big films. But he hasn’t signed any and is going to wait for a while. He is waiting for his next big release Tiger 3 to hit the screens. He will see how the film is received by the audience and only then he will decide about his future projects. The source was quoted saying, “Salman Khan is in ‘retrospect mood’ about his upcoming films. Reportedly, the actor has been offered six films but he is ‘refraining’ from signing any of them.     If all this is true, it is speculated that Salman Khan will not have an Eid release next year. Salman says that he is going everywhere will full security and while he knows that whatever is going to happen will happen and that there is God, he still cannot roam around freely. “Now there are so many Shera’s around me, so many guns are going around with me that I am myself scared these days,” the actor shared with Rajat Sharma on Aap Ki Adalat.     On the occasion of Sita Navami, Om Raut and the production house have released the motion poster of Kriti Sanon aka Janaki of Adipurush. From the motion poster, we gather that Janaki has been abducted from the Panchavati forest. There are two looks of Kriti Sanon that have been released. The first is a full-length poster of Kriti as Janaki. She is seen modestly dressed in porcelain coloured saree and an orange dupatta on her head. The image of Prabhas as Raghava, that is Lord Ram, is seen in the silhouette in the background. And now, all eyes are on how well the movie will perform at the box office tomorrow. Will Ponniyin Selvan 2 break the opening-day record of Ponniyin Selvan 1? Will the magnum opus be able to surpass the collections of its predecessor and emerge more successful at the box office? Various Trade experts have weighed their expertise and analysis about PS 2.

    Will Ponniyin Selvan 2 break PS 1’s opening record?

    Ponniyin Selvan 2 by Mani Ratnam is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The first part of the movie was released last year and the second part is coming out tomorrow. The Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer’s buzz, trade expert says is relatively less compared to the first part. The cast and crew have been promoting PS 2 across the country. Talking about the Ponniyin Selvan 2 box office prediction, trade expert Girish Johar feels that the movie will do as well as the first part did. He believes the movie might d a business of Rs 25 crores on Day 1 and an additional Rs 2 crores in Hindi. All in gross, across the country, he believes PS 2 will open at Rs 30 crores. As per Sacnilk, PS 1 did a business of Rs 34 crores nett.

    Another trade expert, Ramesh Bala believes that Ponniyin Selvan 2 might do a business of about Rs 15 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. As per Bala, the movie might open at Rs 20-25 crores nationwide on day 1 and it might pick up business over the weekend. As per early reports, Ponniyin Selvan 2 has already done business of Rs 11 crores in pre-sales. Ramesh Bala believes that Ponniyin Selvan 2 might take a slow start but will eventually surpass the collections of PS 1.

    As per Sacnilk, PS 1 minted about Rs 39 crores gross on day 1. It continued running successfully over a period of 7 weeks. The Nett India collection of PS 1 is about Rs 266.4 crores. The Ponniyin Selvan 1 worldwide Collections stand at about Rs 488.36 crores with international business of about Rs 175 crores. A report on OTTplay.com states that the Mani Ratnam movie PS 2 has a chance of doing business somewhere in between Rs 600 to Rs 800 crores worldwide.
