Grab three simple ingredients and make these delicious Christmas Pretzels. Great for the holiday season.

    Christmas Pretzels

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

Make these quick and easy little treats in no time for a sweet-and-salty snack your friends and family will love.  They look so good along with all your other Christmas goodies when you put them out.  You will only need three ingredients to make Christmas pretzels.  They keep well in an airtight container in a cool place.  Add these treats to your Christmas list of snacks and candies.

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

You can use any type of baking chips in this recipe—vanilla, butterscotch, peanut butter, etc. You can decorate with all kinds of sprinkles and get really creative. This is a super simple and super versatile recipe. Have fun with it!

    ⭐TIP

Add the sprinkles before the chocolate dries; that way, they stick. If you wanted to add a drizzle of red or green icing, you would want to let the chocolate dry first.

  • Grab some apples and your favorite spices and make this easy cobbler.

    [ad_1]

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love a good apple dessert and this one is a great one! It’s simple to make in an iron skillet but you could also make it in an a 2 quart baking dish. This is a versatile dish since we added in some great spices but you could mix it up and make it your own. You can also use any apples you like in this dish.

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

We used cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in this dessert but you can easily switch that up. Add in some allspice or top it with cinnamon sugar if you like. Caramel sauce is always a good addition too! Some people love cheese on apple cobbler, so if you are one of those, then definitely add it to this one.

    Cuisine American

    • 6 to 8 cups apples peeled and chopped (I used 8 small Gala apples)
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

    Topping for chopped apples:

    • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup evaporated milk could use regular milk
    • 4 tablespoons butter melted
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 egg
    • Whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in a bowl. Toss the chopped apples in the sugar and spice mixture. Add apples to the bottom of a 10 inch iron skillet or 2 quart baking dish.

    • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Stir in milk, butter, vanilla extract and egg. Spread over apples in dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes until crust is done and brown on top. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream on top.

I usually sprinkle on some extra cinnamon before cooking just because my family loves it and cannot get enough of it. You could sprinkle some cheese on the apples before adding the topping if you like cheese but we like it as stated above and it is one of our favorites.

These Apple Pecan Squares are a simple dessert and perfect for just a few people. Add the caramel sauce for a real treat!

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We’ve received several requests for smaller desserts suitable for just a few people! This is the perfect recipe for just that! It’s made in an 8X8, and it’s a great way to enjoy apples. We added a little caramel sauce to the end product for a little extra sweetness. We love apple recipes and this one was also a winner. We werent sure what to name it, we thought about Apple Pecan Blondies but they aren’t the exact consistency of a blondie and it’s not exactly cake either. So squares it is!

    SWAPS

This is a very versatile recipe, you can switch out the spices to any that you like. If you prefer allspice, add it, don’t like nutmeg, simple leave it out. You could also use almond extract instead of vanilla. Also, we added a simple caramel sauce to the finished product but it’s not necessary. You could also add a basic powdered sugar glaze.

    ⭐TIP

If you don’t let them cool before slicing they will crumble a little. Also you can use any apples you like! We used Cosmic apples.

This easy no-bake dessert is layers of delicious angel food cake with cherry pie filling. Add this Cherris in the Snow to your holiday dessert list.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love holiday recipes and we love them even more when they are super easy! This is one of those and it’s delicious. It’s no bake, takes absolutely no time to put together. The longest part of the process is letting it chill in the fridge for an hour. I think the longer this is in the refrigerator the better it is!

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

You can switch out the whipping cream with whole milk. You can switch out the pie filling, many people love this recipe with blueberry. If you are not a fan of angel food cake, you can make a white cake (with a mix) and cut it into squares. You could sprinkle coconut on top!

    QUESTIONS AND OTHER VARIATIONS

Yes, you can make this in advance. It’s better the next day. You can also make this with low-fat cream cheese, low-fat Cool Whip, and low-fat pie filling (or sugar-free).

Want to make this a display piece for your holiday? Make it in a trifle bowl and layer the angel food cake and the pie filling. You can also serve this in individual parfait glasses or cute holiday mugs.

  • This Amish dessert is a winner!

    [ad_1]

This Amish Brown Sugar Dumpling recipe is one your family will love. It’s a wonderful dessert!

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

This recipe for Amish Brown Sugar Dumplings is adapted from a recipe in a very old Amish cookbook I’ve had for years. I have added a few ingredients and used a little less sugar. It’s delicious and a wonderful dessert. We love it topped with ice cream, but whipped cream would be great too.

    SWAPS & ADDITIONS

The Amish recipe I have does not call for the cinnamon, raisins, nuts or vanilla extract. Their recipes very often do not show exact measurements either. You can experiment with this and leave out what you don’t like, etc. The recipe above is the way I make it for my family. If you are not a fan of raisins, leave those out, too, or use craisins instead. Switch up the pecans for walnuts.

These easy cake mix pumpkin donuts are the perfect Fall treat! They come together quickly, and the caramel icing takes them to the next level.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

If there is anything we love as a family, it is a donut, and these are the perfect Fall treat. Made with a cake mix, this recipe is even easier. Then, add our delicious caramel icing, and you are in heaven! We are big pumpkin fans and the spices in these are perfect. Add these to your recipe list and make them this Fall season. These donuts come together pretty quickly; you can make these in about 30 minutes.

    SWAPS

You can switch out the seasonings in this if you prefer to add more pumpkin spice. You can also top this with a cream cheese frosting, just a powdered sugar glaze, or leave it off altogether. We love the caramel frosting. For a bit of sweetness, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.

    ⭐TIP

Remember, these are cake mix donuts, so they have a cake-like consistency, and the icing keeps them very moist. We store them in an airtight container and they are actually good, cold if you prefer to keep them in the refrigerator.

    • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • Pour the pumpkin mix into a large mixing bowl and add the spices.  Stir with a spoon to mix well.  Add yellow cake mix and stir until all ingredients are wet.  Spray a donut pan with cooking spray.  My pan makes 12 medium sized donuts.

If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, you are going to love these little treats!

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We love rice krispie treats, and these are made differently, but you still get the delicious marshmallow cream. It’s spread on top of the honey graham crackers that are mixed with peanut butter and powdered sugar. So good and so easy! These are perfect for any gathering, especially a small one, since they are made in an 8X8. Plus you can’t go wrong with a no bake treat!

    SWAPS

You could do a few swaps on this dish, you could use semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips or butterscotch. We added nuts on top; you can leave those off. We like the crunchy peanut butter, but I am sure the smooth would work as well. We haven’t tried this with almond butter, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

  • Thanksgiving Side Dishes

    [ad_1]

Everyone knows it’s the side dishes that make Thanksgiving dinner fabulous! From Southern cornbread dressing to giblet gravy, these classic Southern Thanksgiving side dishes will have your guests raving!

    ⭐Southern Thanksgiving Dressing Recipes

It’s not a Southern Thanksgiving unless dressing is on the table! Many ask what the difference is between stuffing and dressing and it’s really simple. Stuffing is “stuffed” into the cavity of the turkey, where the dressing is cooked outside of the bird. In the South, you’ll hear most people use the term “dressing.”

  • Netflix Just Added This Spooky Michael Keaton Thriller That’s Perfect for Fall

    [ad_1]

In 2005, Michael Keaton starred in the unexpectedly successful supernatural horror thriller White Noise.

Keaton plays Jonathan Rivers, a man who is haunted by the death of his wife, Anna (Chandra West).

That grief leads Jonathan to investigate electronic voice phenomena (EVP), which he believes contains Anna’s messages from the afterlife.

Now that White Noise is streaming on Netflix, Watch With Us is sharing three reasons why you have to watch the film this month.

Michael Keaton Gives a Committed Performance

Have you ever seen Michael Keaton give a bad performance? Well, you definitely won’t see that here. Keaton is the glue that holds White Noise together, and by far the most prominent member for the cast. Through his ability to emote, Keaton makes Jonathan’s mourning for his wife feel believable and heartfelt.

The script also calls upon Keaton to convincingly portray Jonathan’s descent into obsession with making contact with his wife from beyond the grave. It’s not a natural impulse, but Keaton has a way of making it seem real enough for someone as desperate as Jonathan.

    The EVP Transforms Jonathan

The “science” behind EVP as a spiritual medium is questionable at best, and the film introduces Raymond Price (Ian McNeice) as the kook/expert in the field. What’s interesting about Raymond is that he’s not a charlatan, and he doesn’t directly benefit from attempting to reconnect the living with their late loved ones.

Related: 14 Must-Watch Thrillers on Netflix Right Now (August 2025)

Every now and then, Netflix will drop an original movie so good that it outshines the other Netflix originals by a wide margin. This month, the film that lives up to that standard is Night Always Comes, a thriller starring Vanessa Kirby. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of fresh thrillers to choose from beyond that […]

One of the unexpected turns in the film is that Jonathan slowly morphs into Raymond by transitioning from skeptic to believer. He essentially takes over Raymond’s cause and makes it his own. Jonathan actually does some heroic things this way, but he also badly neglects his son, Mike (Nicholas Elia). Jonathan’s a tragic figure in this story, and he never fully realizes the full extent of the danger he’s placed himself in by blindly reaching out to the spirit world.

There Are Some Genuinely Creepy Moments

This is a ghost story, but most of the supernatural events are either on the recordings made by Jonathan and Raymond or conveyed through the shadowy demons that recur throughout the movie. Some of White Noise‘s best moments are when the demons’ influence is directly felt, including the very vulgar messages they leave Jonathan.

However, it’s understandable why some viewers may have felt let down by the demons’ final scene in the movie. It comes off as a poorly edited and ill-conceived sequence. Regardless, the ending of the movie comes full circle for Jonathan. And there’s enough to enjoy in White Noise that we can forgive some of its late missteps.

White Noise is streaming on Netflix.

    Prep Time 15 minutes

    Cook Time 1 hour

    Cuisine American

    • 1 box Brownie mix with instructions for making in a 13×9 pan + ingredients listed on the package
    • 2 cups pecans roughly chopped
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
    • 4 eggs
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • Preheat oven according to brownie package instructions.

    • Mix brownies according to package instructions.

    • Pour brownie batter into a greased 13×9-inch pan and place in the oven to bake for 23 minutes. (The cooking time for all brownie mixes is different. This brownie mix cooking time was 33 minutes, but I cooked it 10 minutes less. I suggest subtracting 10 minutes from the cooking time on the box or cooking it for 2/3 of the time.)

    • While the brownies cook, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla in a small saucepan. Place the saucepan on the stovetop over medium-high heat and begin to cook, stirring continuously. Cook the filling until it begins to thicken. Add the pecans into the mixture and continue to cook until the mixture is thicker but pourable. You still want it to be pourable.

    • When the brownies have finished with the first round of baking, remove them from the oven, poke the top with a fork or skewer, and pour the pecan pie filling over them, spreading it out to cover the brownies completely.

    • Place them back in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the filling seems pretty set. Let cool to room temperature before cutting

  • Are you a Payday Candy Bar Fan??? These are only a few ingredients..

These Salted Nut Roll Bars are so easy to make and an absolute hit! Great addition to any gathering.

    ❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

We have always been big fans of the Payday Candy Bar, and this is pretty much the homemade version. We all agree it’s even better and that it’s only a few ingredients that make it an even bigger winner! You can make these in about 15 minutes and then just put them in the refrigerator to chill. We have made these for a few gatherings and so easy, just cut them in small pieces and enjoy!

    SWAPS

We once made these with fat-free sweetened condensed milk, and they turned out good. You can also add in some Reese’s Pieces on the top if you like, or M&M’s. We like them made the original way but they are versatile. Some people use other nuts like pecans and switch up the peanut butter chips for butterscotch or chocolate, but if you want them to taste like payday, stick with this recipe.

    ⭐TIP

These can be hard right out of the fridge, so we set them out for 5-10 minutes and then cut them. You can freeze them in an air-tight container up to a few months, just thaw and enjoy.

    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 1 10 ounce bag peanut butter chips (like chocolate chips but made of peanut butter)
    • 2 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
    • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk (I used the fat free and it worked fine in this recipe)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 16 ounce jar dry roasted and salted peanuts (divided)
    • In a pan on top of the stove melt the butter and chips together.  Add in marshmallows and milk and bring to a boil stirring constantly.  Turn heat down to a low boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring the entire time.  Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

    • Spray a 9 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray and put half the peanuts in the bottom of the dish.  Pour melted ingredients over the peanuts and spread to cover.  Add the other half of the peanuts to the top and kind of mash into the cooked ingredients.  Refrigerate for at least a couple hours.

    • Remove and cut into squares or bars.  Makes 1 to 1 1/2 dozen pieces depending on size you cut them.
