2. Charity goes for a DNA test in Emmerdale spoilers

Guilty Charity needs answers over her baby’s paternity so goes to get a DNA test. But she has to wait a painful 10 days for the results. Will it be what she hoped?

When Chas then spots Ross and Charity clearly in cahoots over something, she gets suspicious. Is she about to uncover the truth?

3. April can’t escape Ray

April remains unconvinced that Ray has her best interests at heart. But when she tries to talk to Ross, she doesn’t get the help she needs.

She is appalled to realise how much debt they are in but Ray tells her there is a way to get out of it quicker. Suddenly, April is interested.

Ray brings her to a car park, laying out the rules of the job. When April sees a lad beaten-up, she realises the seriousness of it.

Successfully completing her demo deal, April takes a burner phone – solidifying her role as a full-time drug dealer.

4. Dylan’s happiness threatened by Ray in Emmerdale spoilers

When Ray hears Dylan got the job at the dept, he tells him they could help each other out. Later, Dylan gets a text which shows he has no escape from Ray.

Meanwhile, delighted that Dylan wants to drive, Paddy offers him lessons. But as he manages to act as the new father figure in Dylan’s life – Ray makes his presence known.

Unable to turn him down, Dylan heads to see Ray. Dylan’s given a generous gift and is once again reminded how lucky he is to have Ray in his life.

But neither he nor April realise they are playing right into Ray’s hands.

5. Liam confesses his health issue to Chas

Liam gets Claudette to cancel his appointment after agreeing to get his waterworks checked out. Despite her pleas, he refuses to rebook it and ignores things.

However, when Manpreet spots him eeeing in his own consulting room basin, she realises something is wrong. Liam knows it’s time to face the truth.

He fills Chas in on what’s been happening. However, she is heartbroken that it means he is fearing a prostate cancer diagnosis.

Laurel notices something is up with Gabby, who is forced to confess that she cheated on Vinny before the wedding. Laurel is shocked that Gabby plans to take her secret to the grave.

Meanwhile, Vinny gets a letter about Mike. He knows if he testifies then Mike won’t be able to hurt anyone else. But it also means that Gabby might find out the truth.

Mackenzie Boyd’s fate revealed in Emmerdale – everything we know about what happens next

Emmerdale has confirmed Mackenzie Boyd’s fate at last, and it’s clear the drama is only just beginning here.

John’s reign of terror continues to escalate next week — and now Aaron looks set to be the next victim caught in his dangerous game.

With lives on the line and tensions rising, next week’s episodes promise shocking twists that fans won’t want to miss.

Aaron found out John’s lies in Emmerdale tonight

Last week Mackenzie was attacked by John who shot him with an arrow and then smashed him with a rock. It didn’t look like he could have survived that and it was assumed he was dead and buried.

However tonight, Friday August 29, secrets were revealed – including what had really happened to Mack.

First Aaron found out from a neighbour landlord that John supposedly called was actually dead. Then he broke into the locked room and discovered it was in fact a room of John’s things from when he was a kid.

Reasling the house belonged to John, he wanted answers from his husband. John fabricated a story that his mum dying in the house tainted his memories of it. John claimed he wasn’t ready to talk about his mum as he hadn’t been able to save her from the cancer.

The truth about Mackenzie in Emmerdale revealed

Aaron immediately gave in and opened about Faith’s death. He also confided about Chas’ cancer and how he understood how scared John was.

John then suggested they stayed. He felt at home there and wondered if they could start afresh in the cottage together. Aaron agreed.

Later John headed back into the woods and opened a hatch into an underground bunker. And inside was none other than Mackenzie! Groggy, woozy and barely conscious, but definitely still alive.

Aaron in danger in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers

With Mackeznie held captive in the bunker by John, Emmerdale has remained tight-lipped about what will happen to him now, other than to encourage us to watch this next chapter unfold next week.

However, we do know John has Aaron in his sights as he takes action to keep full control of his husband – which could prove fatal.

The couple return to the village and reveal they are moving to John’s place for good. Robert finds out and begs Aaron not to go, even moving in for a kiss. Aaron is obviously torn, but will he give in?

John later gets Aaron back at the cottage and wants to make sure he keeps him there. So he drugs his whiskey and is pleased when Aaron is affected by just one glass. Seizing control and fawning over looking after his husband, John has Aaron exactly where he wants him.

But when John heads out, Aaron has another glass – is he going to be okay? Or has John inadvertantly struck again and killed his husband?

Emmerdale spoilers: Robert kisses Aaron as John’s plot takes another dark turn

Fans of Emmerdale are in for an emotional rollercoaster next week as spoilers reveal Robert Sugden shares another kiss with Aaron Dingle.

But their tender moment comes under terrifying circumstances, with Robert desperately trying to save Aaron from dangerous John, whose deadly actions have already shaken the village.

Could this reunion mark a new beginning for Robron — or the start of even more heartbreak?

Aaron starting to grow suspicious in Emmerdale spoilers

Killer John has struck again and appears to have claimed Mackenzie as his latest victim. A showdown in the woods saw John shoot Mack with an arrow then smash his head in with a rock to protect his secret.

We currently have no idea if Mack is dead or alive and being held hostage somewhere. But we do know the net is closing in on John and he’s struggling to hold it together.

Aaron and John have now left the Dales for a fresh start, but it’s clear Aaron is starting to wonder if something else is wrong here.

As next week starts, John and Aaron pop back to the village to have lunch with Chas. She’s gutted when Aaron confirms he and John are moving away for good.

However, Aaron has concerns about John’s behaviour. He tries to downplay them and pretend it’s nothing, but Chas knows her son and realises something isn’t right. Will she get to the bottom of it?

Robert takes action

Meanwhile, having not heard from Mack since the text John sent pretending to be him, Charity is worried about her husband. She knows they’ve got their issues and he has called time on their marriage, but she is fearful something has happened to him.

Charity decides to report his disappearance to the police, and when John finds out he panics. He makes a excuse and rushes off, which leaves Aaron even more confused. However he still doesn’t add it all up.

Victoria has also overheard Charity’s concerns about Mack and tells Robert. He too is suspicious. Vic also lets slip that Aaron and John are permanently moving into John’s childhood home, which enrages Robert.

Determined not to lose the man he loves, Robert decides it’s time to take action…

Robert kisses Aaron in Emmerdale spoilers

Robert arrives at Aaron’s place to find him packing up. He lays his heart on the line and begs Aaron to see he’s making a mistake by leaving with John.

The chemistry is clearly still there between the exes as Robert moves closer and tells Aaron to stop fighting his true feelings. Robert then plants a kiss on Aaron’s lips. Will this be enough to make Aaron realise who his heart really belongs with?

And with John’s next move drugging Aaron to keep him under his control, can Robert save him from John before it’s too late?

After weeks of trying – and failing – to break free from Ray, Dylan had finally found the courage to stand up to his dealer. He told Ray he was done with dealing drugs and wanted a fresh start.

But then everything went horribly wrong when Moira discovered he’d previously broken into her farm and threatened Kyle.

Moira took her revenge with a pitchfork and soon Dylan found himself with no one to turn to again.

Pressured by Chas and Mandy, Paddy was left with no choice but to ask Dylan to move out. It was Ray Dylan then went to as he fell back into that dark world desperate for a chance.

April loses Ray’s drugs when she’s held at knifepoint

Next week, Dylan is feeling the pressure again when Ray tasks him with carrying out another job. April is so desperate to help her boyfriend and keep him off the drugs himself, she decides she will take on the mission instead.

That same day, April heads off to a carpark with a rucksack full of drugs.

But as she arrives at her destination April is approached by hooded man, who demands she had over the goods. Refusing to be bullied, April stands her ground. But when the thug pulls out a knife she’s left with no choice and is forced to give him the bag.

Shaken, April returns to the village and explains to Dylan what happened. He consoles her over the failed drugs drop and says he’s sure Ray won’t punish her for what happened.

But he knows otherwise and is sure they’re in for trouble. What will Ray say?

Can Dylan get on the right track in Emmerdale spoilers?

April and Dylan know they must face Ray and meet up with him in the woods. April explains what happened and how she has lost his drugs.

With a debt now looking to be repaid, will Ray let them off? Or is this incident only going to drag them deeper into his dark world? Are April and Dylan truly in danger now?

It seems things look up for Dylan later in the week when Paddy finds out he never turned up at the hostel. Furious that he was bullied into kicking Dylan out, he stands up to Chas and tells Dylan he can move back home.

Angry Chas won’t allow Paddy to see Eve and demands that Liam evict them from his house. Will Liam take her side – or does he believe in second chances too?

Next week, Mandy confronts an intruder and soon realises that Ella has returned to collect her things. Mandy feels torn as she watches Ella leave. Will she give her another chance?

With Liam vowing to remain single despite Manpreet’s attempts to matchmake him with Chas, Ella soon gets herself into some trouble.

Sam calls for an ambulance after realising that there’s been a crash on a country road… and Ella’s card is involved. Will she be okay?

Rhona shows off her new tattoo to Marlon and the rest of the Woolpack punters. What has she had inked on her? And, how will Marlon react?

Rose then tries to kiss Will but he pushes her away as Rose panics that he’ll report back to Kim.

She’s not impressed when Will suggests to Kim that she packs her bags and move out of Home Farm.

8. Rose tries to spike Will’s drink

After setting a horse loose, Rose then meets up with a dealer and is given some tranquiliser whilst awaiting further instructions.

She starts to feel slightly guilty about her plan though when Dawn calls her ‘mum’ for the first time.

Following through with her plan, Rose goes to spike Will’s drink. However, two more drinks are poured and she loses track of which glass has been spiked.

Will she fess up to her schemes before someone takes a sip of the drink that’s been tampered with?

Emmerdale spoilers: 9. Tom makes Belle feel guilty

Tom continues to manipulate Belle and makes her feel guilty about terminating their baby.

He secretly continues to plot their move to a remote part of Wales as she distances his wife further away from her family.

10. Laurel and Jai break divorce news to the kids

Jai reckons that he and Laurel can patch things up but he’s taken aback when she discusses telling the kids about their divorce.

Soon enough, the kids are informed about Laurel and Jai’s broken marriage.

11. Back to Holdgate!

Once the news has been broken, Laurel tells Jai to move back to Holdgate.

Jai wants to take Archie with him though, upsetting Jai. Despite Laurel’s sadness, Jai and Archie prepare to move out of her home.

1. Belle faces reality

Belle confides in her Mental Health Care Coordinator, Rachel, about her recent lies to husband Tom. She admits she told him she had a miscarriage instead of an abortion.

As Belle and Rachel’s chat goes on, Belle fears Rachel has realised the extent of Tom’s controlling behaviour. She becomes desperate for her to leave, but Rachel treasures Belle, prompting her to face the reality of Tom’s abuse.

2. Belle makes a big decision

Rachel encourages Belle to take a break from Tom, but Belle is terrified. She eventually agrees and it looks like she could be set to leave Tom and his toxic abuse behind.

Belle decides to follow Rachel’s advice and packs her case with plans to visit Debbie in Scotland. Unknown to her, Tom is lying unconscious in the barn after his violent outburst.

The Miligans and Dingles have been less than pleased that Ethan has been walking around the village while Nicky lies in a coma in hospital.

Ethan was driving when he crashed the car carrying him and Nicky. But because he was slightly over the limit, Ethan didn’t want to jeopardise his new job, so fled the seen leaving Moira, who was passing, to tend to Nicky.

Nicky has since been in a coma after suffering a bleed on the brain, while Ethan at first pretended he hadn’t been involved. But after confessing to his dad, Charles reported him to the police and Ethan was arrested. The cops also have dashcam footage proving Ethan was driving, which makes the case pretty clear cut.

Despite Ethan facing an almost-certain stretch in prison, it wasn’t enough for Ruby, who is desperate for her son to wake up. She decided to take matters into her own hands and knocked Ethan down while he was out on his morning run on Wednesday May 22.

Although Ethan claimed he was okay and he didn’t see who was driving, it was was clear he did know.

Later, Ruby was waiting in the shadows of Ethan’s kitchen to make it clear she had been driving the car. Ethan told her he knew and had seen her. He added that they were now even

She retaliated that she didn’t care and that with Nicky still in a coma, there was no way they were even.

Ruby then told him: “You better look both ways every time you cross the street, because if Nicky doesn’t make it, be assured I will finish the job.”

She left Ethan shaking in fear and upset as he contemplated what she said.

As Ethan gears up for his court hearing next week, he overhears a shocking conversation between Ruby and Rose. Ethan immediately starts to worry for Dawn and decides to use his last few hours of freedom to help her.

Ethan confides in Charles and his dad encourages him to call Dawn. So Ethan leaves her a voicemail.

Father and son then have a heartfelt conversation while preparing for court. Charles heads into the kitchen momentarily and returns to find Ethan collapsed on the floor.

Manpreet rushes in and administers CPR as helpless Charles watches on. Ethan remains unresponsive.

Terrified Charles fears the worst, but will Ethan pull through? Is this because of the hit and run? Or has Ruby finished the job as promised?

Does Nicky die in Emmerdale? Everything we know about what happens next

Tonight’s Emmerdale saw Nicky Miligan in a bad way after a car crash, but does he die? Ethan Anderson was driving at the time and instead of staying on the scene to get help for Nicky, he fled.

At the end of the episode, Nicky was rushed into surgery after suffering a major bleed on the brain. Will he survive?

Emmerdale tonight

In the episode aired on Thursday May 9, Nicky was fed-up with the way his dad, Caleb, was treating him. He wanted to buy Nate’s shares in the car company so he and Caleb could be equal partners. However, Caleb just laughed in his face.

He told Nicky he should be grateful for his 25 per cent and he needed to start proving himself and working to be taken more seriously. Nicky stalked out after telling his dad to stuff the business.

He then headed to The Hide and started drinking heavily. He persuaded Ethan, who was celebrating getting a top new job as a human rights lawyer, to join him.

Before too long Nicky got a phone call from a panicking Suni, who was hiding in the toilets at a bar in town. He had spotted one of the homophobic men who had attacked them last year and was terrified.

Nicky immediately stood up to drive, but Ethan insisted he’d had too much so he would drive instead. Ethan had also been drinking though and when they drove past a police car, was stressed as he knew he was over the limit. The police car went the other way, but a speeding Ethan then crashed.

Both men were knocked unconscious and it was Ethan who came round first.

Ethan leaves Nicky to die in Emmerdale

Although Ethan tried to wake Nicky and eventually dragged him out of the car, he couldn’t rouse his friend. Ethan managed to find a pulse, but couldn’t get either of their phones to work.

When Ethan heard a car coming, he ran, afraid of getting in trouble for the crash, especially as he was over the limit. He watched from his hiding place behind a tree as Moira pulled up and tended to Nicky.

She immediately called an ambulance, but Ethan didn’t show himself. Instead he limped back to Emmerdale.

Here he encountered Caleb, who congratulated him on his new job. Ethan didn’t mention the accident and lied when Caleb asked if he’d seen Nicky. Then Caleb got the call from Moira.

Ruby and Caleb rushed to the hospital to find Nicky being whisked into surgery. They were told he had an injury and a lot of bleeding in his brain and it is very bad.

Does Nicky die in Emmerdale?

Next week, Nicky is still in a coma fighting for his life. But he is not dead.

Meanwhile, Ethan is still lying about what happened.

Ruby seeks comfort in Moira and the former enemies bond over Ruby’s fears for her son. She is also on the warpath, determined to find whoever was driving the car. Meanwhile, Caleb and Cain also reconcile and vow to locate the driver too. Ethan had better watch out…

Charles can see Ethan is struggling and has something on his mind. As he worries for his son, he takes him to the church and urges him to open up.

Charles is left staggered when Ethan confesses he was driving when Nicky got hurt. He also says he is going to lie to the police about it and asks his dad for an alibi.

Man of God Charles can’t in good conscience go along with it and soon enough the police arrive to arrest Ethan. As he is taken away, Ruby figures out what is going on and screams at him.

Charles is devastated. But will Ethan be charged?

And what will happen to Nicky? Is he going to survive?

Emmerdale spoilers for next week see a very unwell baby Evan diagnosed with Leukemia. Dawn and Billy are thrown into turmoil – will he be okay?

Meanwhile, Belle fears she might be pregnant, but what will the test say? And Ruby goes head to head with Moira as a new feud begins.

1. Baby Evan is very poorly

When Dawn spots a new bruise on Evan’s leg, Dr Liam suggests she take him to A&E. He’s examined by a paediatrician who wants blood tests.

Dawn and Billy are worried they will be accused of hurting him. But the paediatrician returns and explains Evan is very sick. They need to take an urgent bone marrow biopsy as he has low haemoglobin and platelet levels.

Dawn and Billy are shellshocked. Their whole world has been turned upside down. But what’s wrong with Evan?

2. Evan diagnosed with Leukaemia

Kim and Will arrive at the hospital as Evan is taken for his biopsy. Billy and Will try to comfort Dawn who is absolutely distraught.

The doctor soon confirms Evan has a form of Leukaemia. Kim and Will watch from outside the room as Billy and Dawn have their worst fears confirmed.

3. Belle pregnant?

Belle is worried she could be pregnant. She takes a pregnancy test.

Belle is visibly relieved when the test is negative. She can’t hide her feelings from Tom.

But he is far from pleased. He’s disappointed, but how will he react?

4. Chas faces her surgery scars

Struggling with the changes to her body, Chas wears prostheses to the Woolpack for the first time. The women are supportive of her, although Charity assures her she doesn’t need them.

However when Kerry later makes insensitive comments, Chas lashes out at her. She refuses to be defined by breasts.

Chas soon confides in Charity about how she is not brave enough to face her surgery scars. Charity offers to look with her and Chas bravely lifts her top. Can she face her new reality?

5. Moira and Ruby go to war

Ruby loses her temper when Moira accidentally splashes her while driving. They later meet head-on down a single-track road and both refuse to move.

But Will and Kim are desperately rushing to the hospital to see Evan and are furious at Moira and Ruby. Will gives them what for, but who will back down?

Although Caleb later insists Ruby apologise, the feud definitely isn’t over as Ruby starts spreading a vicious rumour about Moira.

6. Manpreet kisses Billy

Ella organises a few drinks with the ladies to cheer up Manpreet. Even Claudette joins in!

There’s definitely chemistry between Claudette and Bear. But will they act on it?

Meanwhile, Billy also joins them. Ella soon notices Manpreet is fawning over Billy. Ella pulls her outside for a chat and warns Manpreet not to take it any further.

When Manpreet spots Billy leaving she grabs him. With both hands on him she pulls him to her and kisses him.

Manpreet is left feeling awkward and worried about what she’s done.

7. Charles finds out

Manpreet apologises to Billy the next day and says it won’t happen again. However, Charles overhears everything. Furious, he storms off, but is this the end of their relationship?

8. Mack under pressure

Charity is really proud of Sarah’s new job, but Mack is feeling threatened. Charity soon pulls him up on his behaviour towards Sarah, but will he be nicer?

9. Jimmy has an idea in Emmerdale spoilers

With business struggling, Jimmy suggests a village fete. Nicola is pleased to have a distraction and sets about organising it.

10. Moira worries for Isaac

Moira is thrilled when Isaac takes an interest in the farm. However when he sees an abandoned lamb, he’s clearly shaken. Is farming really for him?

Vinny isn’t dead after Tom’s attack in Emmerdale, but he is in danger – here’s what happens next

Tonight’s dramatic installment of Emmerdale saw Vinny Dingle left for dead after an attack by Tom King. Although Vinny will survive the outburst the danger certainly isn’t over as Tom is determined to get rid of him…

Tom attacks Vinny in Emmerdale

Although he was away on a course during the Emmerdale episode on Thursday April 18, Tom still couldn’t stop himself keeping tabs on his wife. He was watching her every move on the puppy cam and was furious when Vinny arrived to keep her company.

Tom laughed and ridiculed Vinny as he made a confession about being a virgin to Belle. But he was laughing on the other side of his face when Belle turned the puppy cam off.

Furious Tom grabbed his keys, jumped in the car and sped home. He was burning with anger when he burst into the house to find neither Belle nor Vinny there.

Trying to track Belle on her phone, he found he couldn’t even find her that way. Meanwhile, Belle and Vinny were on a walk together and she was explaining her phone was broken. Vinny offered to take a look and fix it.

Tom soon found Belle’s tracker spring back into life and headed to its location of the scrapyard. There he discovered the phone by no Belle or Vinny.

When Vinny then arrived back, Tom panicked and hit him over the head with a paperweight to avoid being caught snooping. Vinny fell straight to the floor, bleeding and unconscious.

Is Vinny dead in Emmerdale?

Tom checked his pulse and worried Vinny was dead. But instead of calling an ambulance he quickly wiped all his fingerprints from the scene and fled.

Before Tom left, he apologised to Vinny, saying he hadn’t meant to kill him.

But fortunately for Tom, Vinny is not dead. He will survive and next week is even up and about, albeit rather battered and bruised.

And as Belle decides to care for him, Tom’s jealousy rises once more – meaning Vinny is in danger again.

What happens next week?

Tom goes out of his way to belittle Vinny and make him feel bad about himself. He remains determined to get rid of Vinny from Belle’s life once and for all.

Deciding perhaps violence isn’t the answer, Tom cosies up to Vinny instead – keep your enemies close! Belle is suspicious of his motives and knows there will be more too it.

She’s right, of course. Tom ends up suggesting he help Vinny get a girlfriend. Tom is quite excited at the prospect of sorting the love match. He soon sets his sights on Gabby as Vinny’s perfect woman.

As he organises a drink for them however, it seems Tom hits it off with Gabby more than Vinny does. So when Belle arrives she’s not pleased to see Tom flirting and enjoying Gabby’s company. Is Tom deliberately trying to make her jealous?

And what does this mean for Vinny? If Tom’s girlfriend plan doesn’t work out, he’s still going to want rid of Vinny another way. It leaves Vinny in danger because we know Tom doesn’t stop until he gets what he wants…

1. Nate wants to return to work

Moira and Cain offer Nate their support when he decides to return to work. He tells Caleb he is exercising his rights as a partner in the car firm.

Caleb welcomes his comeback, but insists he just needs to sort out the accounts first to show him…

2. Ruby gets suspicious

With Caleb delaying on the accounts, Ruby knows he’s up to something. So she confronts her husband and asks what he’s hiding.

Eventually he agrees to show her everything, but what is going on?

3. Kim sticks her oar in

Kim witnesses Nate and Caleb clash and Caleb certainly doesn’t like her paying such close attention. Scheming Kim then checks Ruby is still in on their plan and when Ruby confirms she is, Kim begins to plot.

She riles Nate up as he sees Caleb and Tracy talking and Nate confronts Caleb. He demands to be bought out of the business, but when Caleb says he can’t do it, Nate then loses it.

4. Nate gets violent

Grabbing Caleb by the lapels, Nate gets aggressive as Kim delights in watching on. Cain sees the altercation and soon steps in.

Cain pulls Nate back and indicates that Frankie has witnessed his behaviour, leaving Nate feeling awful.

5. Nate out for revenge

Nate is convinced no one cares about him and his quest for revenge. However, he decides to do it anyway and talks to Aaron about stealing cars from the business.

Aaron lets Cain know what Nate is planning and Cain and Aaron decide to help him. Nate also has Caleb’s precious car crushed and Caleb is left humiliated.

6. Ruby twists the knife

With Caleb already annoyed over the stolen cars and the insurance company causing problems, Ruby makes things worse. After insisting he turn Tracy against him to prove his love for her, Ruby comes up with the perfect plan.

She tells him he has to ruin Tracy’s nursery presentation. But will he do it?

7. Chas finds out the truth

PC Swirling is delivering her back after she was arrested for theft. Oh and she’s also dressed as Cher.

Kerry soon explains she has been falsely accused by her fiancé. Amy is fuming, but when Kerry appears genuinely happy to be home and promises she’s just back to be a good mum and definitely didn’t commit the theft, Amy is hopeful.

10. Rhona’s being set up

After Gus’s offer to frame Lucy for the passport theft and work towards both him and Rhona being found not guilty, Rhona is hopeful. However, it’s not long before she realises she’s being deceived.

She vows to fight tooth and nail for Ivy and won’t give up until the baby is under her care.

11. Mary left heartbroken

At a karaoke night at the Woolpack, Vanessa takes to the mic. She performs her heart out – and sings her way back into Suzy’s heart. However, Mary is unimpressed.

As the pair share a kiss, gutted Mary watches on. Will she reveal her own true feelings for Suzy?

12. Charity makes a step forward

Mack is relieved when he hears no charges are being pressed against Charity. He moves to hug her, but she flinches away.

There are encouraging signs however when she texts and says he can bring the kids over. Charity is totally overwhelmed, but puts on a brave face for their benefit.

Although she struggles to say how she feels to Mack, he understands. They can both see progress in her condition. But is it enough?

Emmerdale: Chas once had PTSD and stabbed Diane Sugden – here’s what happened

As Charity Dingle struggles to cope with her PTSD in Emmerdale, she is comforted by Chas who reveals she knows what Charity is going through. Although Charity dismisses her, in fact, Chas is not lying.

But Charity – and Emmerdale – seems to have forgotten Chas has been exactly where Charity is!

She too suffered from PTSD. And she too starting struggling with her sleep. And she too stabbed someone while not thinking straight.

Exact same, exact same.

So what happened when Chas stabbed Diane Sugden?

It was 2015 and a fatal helicopter crash had just hit the village. Although Chas was relatively unscathed, she was upset because it was all caused by Chrissie White, who found out Chas’s son, Aaron was having an affair with her husband Robert.

When Robert and Chas had an argument about it, Robert was suddenly shot. Chas was traumatised at having witnessed the shooting, although Robert did survive. However, Chas herself came under suspicion.

Then a break-in at the pub saw co-landlady Diane think Chas was responsible for smashing glasses. Chas denied it and the pair fell out.

Strange things continued to occur around the Woolpack. Chas’s clothes were strewn around the floor, the taps were turned on in the night and someone was in the pub cellar.

Chas’s love rival at the time, Emma Barton, locked her in the pub with poisonous gas being released from a beer pump. Chas fell and hit her head becoming unconscious.

She was rescued, but everything was getting to be too much and she believed she had a stalker.

However, it was soon revealed Chas was behind everything, having been sleepwalking.

Things came to a head when Diane returned from a night out with her family and Chas thought it was an intruder. She grabbed a knife for protection and stabbed Diane in the bar.

Chas diagnosed with PTSD

Things got worse for Chas. She handed herself into the police after hearing ex Cameron’s voice telling her to. Cameron had held her hostage in the Woolpack siege previously and had also been responsible for killing her sister Gennie and her former lover Carl King, but letting Chas take the blame.

Chas started to hallucinate Robert and Diane, imagining them bleeding and dying in front of her. Then Cameron’s voice haunted her again and she saw Robert pinning her down saying the same things Carl did the night he tried to attack her.

Chas was eventually found and diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after Cameron’s reign of terror. Robert being shot was said to be the trigger for her illness, which she’d buried deep down.

One good thing that came out of the stabbing was Diane‘s stomach cancer was discovered. She was treated and made a full recovery.

Charity stabs Mack in Emmerdale

In the present day, Charity has just stabbed husband Mack by mistake after hallucinating he was Harry. Charity had killed Harry in self-defence after he tried to kill Mack.

As Charity struggled with what she had done, she began suffering nightmares and flashbacks. It was clear she had PTSD, but everyone around her seemingly failed to notice.

Mack was rushed in to emergency surgery and has recovered, but Charity is now refusing to see him or the kids for fear she might hurt him.

As Cain tries to get through to her, Chas returns and finds out what’s happened. Can she help Charity using her own PTSD experience?

Belle and Tom then agreed they would scale down the wedding celebrations. They felt it didn’t matter about all the frills, just that they got married.

Tonight they go one step further. They decide they won’t have groomsmen or bridesmaids at all and announce the news to their family.

But it’s not long before Mandy has a cheeky glint in her eye. What is she planning? And will Belle and Tom be okay with it?

Smitten Rhona can’t handle the idea that Gus is planning to take baby Ivy back. She’s concerned that Gus is coping well with the tot and that means he’s going to want her full-time.

Rhona is emotional in Emmerdale spoilers

With everyone on edge, Gus heads out for the day with his baby girl and Rhona – rather uncharitably – admits to Marlon that she hopes Ivy will play up for him and make things difficult.

But the next day, they all meet up and an emotional Rhona smothers Ivy with affection. She’s upset to hear that Gus is managing well and then she’s totally distraught when Gus says it’s time for him to find them a new permanent home.

French adventure

Marlon doesn’t want to say goodbye to little Ivy either, so he asks Gus if he’d be willing to co-parent. And both he and Rhona are horrified when Gus announces he’s planning to move to France!

Final farewell in Emmerdale spoilers

Gus tells Marlon and Rhona they can take care of Ivy for the day, to give them a chance to say goodbye properly and they jump at the chance.

Rhona’s heartbroken though and all she can do is hold the little girl close to her, knowing this is the end of her time with her.

Running away!

Later, Marlon comes home and he’s shocked and upset to discover Ivy and Rhona missing, along with all their belongings!

Panicking, he tells Mary that Rhona has taken off with Ivy.

Mary is horrified, and frantically, she and Marlon start searching for Rhona. Where has she gone, and can they track her down before it’s too late?

Emmerdale: Chas Dingle to be diagnosed with breast cancer less than two years after the disease killed her mum, Faith

Chas Dingle in Emmerdale is to discover a lump in her breast. This will then lead to a breast cancer storyline for the long-time character.

As she begins to enjoy a fling with dishy doctor Liam Cavanagh, he soon delivers shock news. He has felt a lump in her breast. As a result Chas is devastated as she faces her diagnosis.

Emmerdale is working with Breast Cancer Now and this is also set to be a long-running storyline.

Emmerdale: Breast cancer diagnosis for Chas Dingle

When Liam tells Chas what he’s found she is full of fear. He tries to reassure her that it could be any number of things, not necessarily cancer. However, he also tells her she must make an appointment to get checked out.

She then attends the breast clinic for tests. Chas is then given the news that she has triple negative breast cancer.

Single-mum Chas decides to keep the diagnosis to herself. Particularly difficult for Chas is the fact her mother, Faith Dingle, died from breast cancer. This means Chas is all-too aware of the potential implications for her future.

Producer Kate Brooks has explained why the show has decided to do this storyline.

“When this story was first pitched, we were acutely aware how important it was to explore this. With Chas’s family history of breast cancer and Chas being such a strong character, and in many ways the bedrock of the Dingles, we wanted to show the impact on not just her, but her immediate family.”

She added: “With Lucy Pargeter’s innate ability to showcase Chas’s vulnerabilities beneath her hardened exterior, we knew she was absolutely the right character to play this with.”

Kate revealed that Breast Cancer Now is heavily involved in how Chas’s story is told.

“We approached Breast Cancer Now as we wanted to depict this story in the most authentic way possible. Any light we can shed on this disease and encourage and remind people to routinely check their breasts can hopefully help lead to more positive outcomes.”

Lucy Pargeter speaks out on Chas’s diagnosis

Actress Lucy Pargeter has also revealed how she feels about the storyline.

“When the producers first discussed this storyline with me I knew I didn’t want us to shy away from any aspect of this diagnosis for Chas. She saw her own mother ultimately die after an incurable breast cancer diagnosis. So for Chas to receive a breast cancer diagnosis herself, makes it all the more poignant.

“Our audience knows her so well, they have seen her relationships, know her faults, her passions, her insecurities, quirks and fears. So for them to see this story play out will be more meaningful given everything that has happened to both her and her mother. I think this is the beauty of our genre.”

She continued: “However, I am more than aware of the huge responsibility with us telling this story. I hope we can do it justice. It won’t be all doom and gloom. There will be ups and downs just like with anything. But I hope it looks and feels real. And if just a few people get help for breast changes that do not feel or look right, it could do some good too.”

Emmerdale is working with a charity on this storyline

Breast Cancer Now also issued a statement on this storyline with Cassie Kingswell, clinical nurse specialist saying: “With one in seven women in the UK developing breast cancer in their lifetime, Chas’s experience will resonate with thousands of Emmerdale viewers.

“Supporting people diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones, via our services, we’re able to draw on this insight along with our knowledge and extensive experience to provide informed, expert guidance for this storyline.

“We know that the sooner breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chances of treatment being successful, and ultimately lives being saved. As such, Emmerdale is delivering an important health message by raising awareness of the importance of breast checking, of knowing breast cancer signs and symptoms, and getting any new or unusual changes checked by a GP. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, or with questions about breast health.”

The village teens want to go to a party in Hotten to celebrate the new year.

But they’re too young to drive, and they don’t have a car anyway. So they give up and decide to do something else, right?

With their party plans falling apart, the teens don’t want to admit defeat. Plus Angelica’s totally got the hots for Heath and the more time they can spend together, the better.

So they put their heads together and come up with a way to get to the party.

Nicola for mayor!

Meanwhile, oblivious to the plotting and planning that’s going on under her roof, Nicola is making some plans of her own. She convinces an impressed Jimmy – and a much less enthusiastic Bob – that it’s a good idea to host a councillor party at the B&B.

They agree so it’s full-steam ahead for Mrs King!

Because the party isn’t the only thing she’s planning – she wants to be mayor!

Put a ring on it!

Fresh from their icy proposal, future bride and groom Belle and Tom are totally loved up.

And Belle is delighted when Tom gives her an engagement ring. He tells her it used to belong to his mum.

Emmerdale spoilers tonight: Belle proposes – with Torvill and Dean's help!

In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight (Thursday 28 December) Belle’s got a plan to pop the question to her boyfriend Tom.

But with previous attempts at proposals on both sides having gone very wrong, will this one go to plan? And what will Tom say if Belle finally gets to ask that very important question!

After the disappointment of the ice rink Tom was going to treat the villagers to being cancelled, Belle’s determined to make her boyfriend’s dreams come true.

In more ways than one!

Because Belle’s also on a mission to pop the question to her unsuspecting other half, and she’s roped in Leyla to help.

Will Tom say yes?

With Tom delivered safely – if a bit unsteadily – on to the ice by Leyla, Belle puts her plan into action. She gets down on one knee and asks Tom to marry her.

Luckily for Belle, Tom’s more than thrilled with the whole thing and quickly says yes!

Does he really understand what he’s letting himself in for? Becoming the newest member of the Dingle family is never easy – and there’s that whole welly thing to contend with, too!

But that aside, Belle and her new fiancé are delighted.

And that’s not all!

With Tom having confessed to being a huge Torvill and Dean fan back in the day, Belle’s pulled out all the stops to make it a magical moment.

Emmerdale spoilers: First look at all-new pics for December 18-22 as Mack is kidnapped!

Emmerdale spoilers for the week before Christmas reveal Mackenzie is in terrible danger when he’s kidnapped. But who has him – and why?

Meanwhile, Aaron finds a new enemy in Charles, but how far will he go to torture the vicar? And what will Chas do about her wayward son?

Also, there’s a Christmas baby on the way when Dawn goes into labour. All this and more in upcoming Emmerdale spoilers.

Emmerdale spoilers

1. Mack kidnapped

Mack and Charity have a furious row and both are wound up. He storms out and says he won’t be back for a while and not to wait up.

But he soon finds himself bound and gagged and tied to a chair in an abandoned factory. Who has Mack – and what do they want?

2. Charles takes on Aaron

Aaron argues with Chas and angry Charles orders him to show his mother some respect. Aaron goads him and a scuffle breaks out. Charles later apologises to Chas who is happy to have a friend.

Meanwhile, Aaron is plotting and soon entices Ethan into Mill. But then he humiliates a smitten Ethan in front of Charles.

Chas confronts Aaron about his behaviour and soon leaves him stunned with her response to his attitude. But will it change him?

3. Kim confesses

Kim tells Will she played a part in Craig’s death. He is shocked and upset. She then explains the full story to him, but he’s left feeling betrayed.

Kim begs Will to keep her secret. When he then finds her the next day drunk and slumped against Dawn’s birthing pool, he realises she’s in a state, but can he bring himself to keep quiet?

4. Mary brings Gus and Ivy home

Mary is helping Gus as he cares for Ivy. But when the funeral directors call about Lucy’s service, it’s clear Gus is at breaking point. Mary knows she has to make a decision for Ivy’s sake.

Rhona and Marlon are shocked when Mary arrives home with Gus and Ivy. Rhona tries to keep the peace, but it’s obvious Marlon is not happy with the situation at all.

5. Dawn in labour

At the Christmas fair Dawn’s contractions start. Aaron is forced to help her out timing the contractions.

Dawn soon makes it to the birthing pool and gives birth to a healthy baby. She and Billy are overjoyed by their new arrival.

6. Tom overwhelmed

Tom is thrilled by the upcoming arrival of Nicola’s special guests. When she hears he’s a massive Torvill and Dean fan Chas suggests Belle should propose today. However he’s soon left devastated – but what’s happened?

7. Tracy panics

Tracy is worried that Nicky knows about their affair. Caleb assures her Nicky will keep their secret, but will he?

8. Bob presses for gossip

Bob quizzes Heath over his date with Angelica, but what will Heath spill?

9. Who’s the best Santa?

After a fierce competition, Nate wins best Santa at the Christmas fair.
